Chapter 6: Burning Talent Part 3 (Final)
Monster High (several minutes early)
Danny and Jazz were sneaking through the main school building, hoping to find any of the Ghoul Squad members, while also being on the lookout for Ember, who Jazz had assumed would be in the headmasters office given she's one crave being at the top and that would be the top position at a school.
The two came in view of the main hall, they saw no sign of anyone. But what they failed to notice was the lone Draculaura in bat form looking down from above, that dived down towards them. The two siblings notice the bat, but it was to late, Draculaura was close enough and let out her sonic scream that caused both teens to cover their ears.
Danny quickly removed one of his hands from his ear and pointed his finger at Draculaura, and fired a small low-powered beam of energy. The beam struck her right out of the air on to the floor, and her form returned to normal. As he looked at Draculaura, who didn't move, Danny thought he had used to much power.
"Oh no…" Danny rushed over to check on the seemingly unconscious vampire. "Draculaura, are you ok?"
"Danny, wait…" Jazz called out.
However, it was to late. Draculaura's eye's shot wide open, and before Danny could back up, she grabbed his arm and flipped him on to the ground as she stood.
"How did I fall for that?" Danny mentally slapped himself. Meanwhile, Jazz was thinking the same thing 'I can't believe he fell for that…'
Danny quickly phased through the ground as Jazz rushed up behind Draculaura and placed a pair of Fenton earphones in her ears, causing the vampire girl to snap out of her trance.
"Uh… what happened..?" She mumbled. "Danny!?"
Draculaura was surprised to see Danny but didn't know what was happening.
"Draculaura!, are you okay?" Danny asked.
"Yeah, I think so…" She shook her head to get rid of slight dizziness she was feeling. "But what's going on? I remember waking up, getting ready for the talent show and then it's all a blur."
"It's a long story, a ghost named Ember has took control of the school and mind controlled everyone but Ari. She called me for help, and we ran into you, but we need to find the others."
Draculaura couldn't believe the school was being taken over, her mind was racing, hoping her friends and family were ok. It was then that her eyes caught the sight of a girl walking up next to Danny. She was someone, Draculaura had never seen before, and she didn't look like a monster… just normal.
"Uh, Danny, who is this." Draculaura asked, gesturing toward Jazz.
"Oh… well, this is my sister… Jazz." He replied.
Draculaura's widened, she recalled Danny having a family but as she looked at Jazz, the girl didn't have a ghostly glow like Danny and just seemed all around normal but not all monsters are distinctive.
"Well it's always nice to meet a fellow monster." She greeted, shacking Jazz's hand. "Thanks for coming to help as well."
"No problem." Jazz spoke. "But you should know that I'm human, not a monster."
Now Draculaura was truly confused, her head darting back and forth between Danny and Jazz as she tried to make sense of what she just learned.
"But… how? That… I… what?" Draculaura couldn't properly form a sentence.
"Draculaura…" Danny placed his hand on her shoulders. "I know your confused right now but we need you to focus."
Although she really was confused, Draculaura nodded. But before the group of three could begin looking for the rest of the Ghoul Squad, the schools announcement system came on, and an all to familiar voice echoed.
"Hello Monster High!" Ember's voice called out.
"Oh no…" Danny groaned.
"It's your new headmistress, and it's almost time for use to kick off my grand plan!."
Danny and Jazz got nervous. Whatever Ember is up to, it couldn't be good. The last time she had a plan, it involved controlling everyone on Earth with her music.
"Change of plans, guys." Danny turned to Jazz and Draculaura. "I'm going after Ember, you two, keep searching for the others."
"Wait, Danny! I don't think that's a good idea!" Jazz protested.
"We can't waste anymore time, I'm not going to let Ember cause any more problems than she already has!" He replied.
And without another word, Danny took off.
"Will he be ok?" Draculaura asked worryingly. "Maybe we should go after him?"
"I'm worried, but Danny's capable of taking care of himself." Jazz admitted. "We should stick to the plan just in case."
Danny made his way to the headmaster's office, which he remembered the location of from the tour he received from his fist ever visit. He was easily able to slip in unnoticed thanks to his invisibility and intangibility, and saw Ember, sitting right at the office desk, tuning her guitar.
This was his best chance, he thought. Floating above her, Danny aimed the thermos directly down at her. As he was about to fire, he was suddenly hit from behind and slammed right on top of the desk. Ember was caught off guard when Danny landed on the desk but quickly jumped up out of her seat.
"Well if it isn't the little dipstick." She said with a grin. "I wasn't expecting you to drop in."
Neither did Danny. He wasn't sure what hit him and when he look up to see what did, nothing was there. Quickly shacking off the pain, Danny got up to face, Ember.
"I'm here to stop whatever you planning and send you back to the Ghost Zone, so why don't you make this easy both of us and hop in this thermos?." He raised the thermos.
"Sounds tempting…" Ember said sarcastically. "But I'm having too much fun!"
With a smile, Ember leaped forward and tried to slam her guitar on Danny's head but failed as Danny dodge the strike and jumped up into the air. With his back now against the ceiling, Danny stretched out his arm and fired a powerful ghost ray, to which Ember countered by sending a wave of ectoplasmic energy from her guitar.
"How'd you even find out about this place, Ember?" Danny asked.
"If you want to know so bad, I'll tell you." She replied.
The two charged at each other and became looked in a struggle.
"I got an invitation about a talent show and thought it be a perfect opportunity to show off my skill." She explained
'She was invited?' Danny thought.
Who would have invited Ember? Anyone who knows her, knows she's not the type that others would consider a "good person". He wondered who at Monster High would have invited her.
"By show off you skill?, you mean take over everyone's mind with your music!" He said.
Ember laughed. "When I got here, I scoped out the talent and I wasn't impressed. But then, I thought this would be a perfect chance give the global take over another shot."
"You sure you weren't just afraid you lose the talent show so decided to cheat?" Danny joked.
Ember's smiled turned into a frown, apparently not amused by Danny's little joke. Her eyes glowed red as her burning hair erupted and sent out a wave of fire, to which Danny countered by sending out a wave cold energy, causing an explosion that knocked both of them back.
"You think your funny, huh?" Ember growled. "You won't be laughing once I'm done with you!"
Ember sent out another wave of energy from her guitar, which Danny was about to dodge but before he could, the wave of energy expanded and formed a massive bubble around him. Trying his best to escape, Danny couldn't seem to be able to get out, even with his intangibility.
"Taking over this school was just the first step, there's a whole world full of monsters in hiding and now that I got the means to reach them, I plan on broadcasting my music across the monster web and taking control of all monsters! And with an army like that on my side, no one is going to stop me from spreading my message across the world!"
"I wont let you get away with it!" Danny shouted.
"You can't stop me. You're not the only one has gotten stronger since are last battle, and as long as I got people chanting my name, my power will continue to grow. Speaking off…"
Ember walked over to the office desk and turned on the schools announcement system. "Hello! Monster High! Tell me who you love!".
The sound of over a hundred voices and more filled the halls and grounds of the school, all chanting the same name over and over. "Ember McLain!, Ember McLain!, Ember McLain!".
Ember began to soak of their chants like a sponge, and her power increased as her hair erupted and extended upwards. With a smile, Ember readied her guitar and let loose an intense wave of energy at Danny.
"Oh crud!" Danny shouted. Thinking quickly, he created his own barrier around himself inside one he was currently trapped in.
As the energy impacted the barrier, a massive explosion erupted, blowing a hole in the top of the office and caused the building to shake.
Inside the building, Jazz and Draculaura stumbled from the violent shake.
"What on earth was that!?" Draculaura said aloud.
'Danny! Please be ok!' Jazz thought to herself.
Meanwhile in the destroyed office, Danny was definitely not ok. His body was in pain but he managed to power through it and stand up. "Ouch!" He groaned in pain.
Looking around, Danny saw the damage done but no sign of Ember. That was until the pop star came down on top of him, sending him through the floor and down into the creepateria and through one of the tables.
As Danny tried to get up, Ember stomped her foot down on his chest. "No body can stop me!" She bragged.
"I beg to differ."
Out of nowhere, a beam of energy struck Ember from behind and sent the teen idol into a wall. Danny turned his head to see Draculaura and Jazz and the creepateria's entrance, the later of the two was decked out in the Fenton Peeler armor.
"That's so cool!" Draculaura beamed in excitement. "My friend, friend Frankie would love to see this."
As Ember got up off of the ground, she looked to see her attacker and found it to be someone familiar. "YOU!" Ember growled. With a ferocious shout, she leaped over to Jazz with the intent of striking her with her guitar.
"Guys! Look out!" Danny shout.
Both girls jumped to different sides as Ember smashed down in-between the two. Almost immediately, Ember chased after Jazz who was just barely managing to dodge her attacks. 'I guess, she's still made about how me, mom, and Sam beat her, Kitty, and Spectra.' Jazz thought.
As the two continued fighting, Draculaura went to check on Danny, who looked as though he was in a heap of pain. "You ok, Danny?" She asked while helping him up.
"Yeah, at least, I think so."
The two then saw, Jazz backed into a corner but before Ember could attack sound wave from her guitar, several bandages wrapped around her arm. "What!?"
Everyone looked back over towards the entrance to see Cleo pulling back on the bandages she had released to hold Ember's arm. Behind her was Tucker, Ari, and Clawdeen.
"Ghouls! I'm glad you're all ok!" Draculaura happily shouted.
"Sorry were late, ghoulfriend, we heard an explosion and raced over here as fast as we could." Clawdeen explained. "Looks like we got here just in time."
"Just in time to be crushed!" Ember shouted as she used enhanced strength to pull on Cleo's bandages, lifting the girl off her feet and swinging her around until the bandage snapped, sending the mummy girls flying.
"I got her!" Tucker called out. Putting his arms out, Tucker managed to catch Cleo but the force send him back into the wall. "That's definitely going to leave a bruise…" He wined
Cleo picked herself up before helping Tucker to his feet. "Thanks Du… Tucker." She quickly corrected herself. "Are you ok?"
"Of course." He lied, trying to sound heroic.
Danny seeing hid friend was ok, turned to Ember, who was currently surrounded. "Give it up, Ember! We've got you!"
"Not a chance, Baby Pop!" She replied.
"Baby Pop?" the ghouls questioned aloud.
"I've still got a army of monsters on my side!" She bragged.
As if on cue, the doors to the creepateria burst open, Lagoona, Frankie, and her Frankie's sister Alivea, she was slightly shorter than Frankie, had pale blue skin and eyes, long blue hair that was tied up in a ponytail, and like Frankie, she had two large bolts screws but they were located on each side of her head. Her outfit consisted of a visor over her eyes, a black and white striped one piece that stopped at her thighs, she had pink leggings, and black boots.
"Frankie!, Lagoona!, Alivea!, your all ok!" Draculaura said.
However, Draculaura was surprised when she noticed their glowing red eyes, and could barely dodge Frankie shooting a blast electricity her way.
"Uh Oh, ghouls, I don't think their here to help us!" Clawdeen said.
"Got that right!" Ember declared. "Hey, Brainy! That device up and running."
Frankie said nothing but nodded.
"Good. See you around, losers!" Ember let out a laugh as she teleported away.
"Device? What could she mean?" Ari wondered aloud.
"I think we should deal with the problem at hand!" Jazz said pointing at the three monster girls standing in front of the exit.
"Ghouls! Snap out of it! We don't want to fight you!" Draculaura pleaded.
Her words seemed to have no effect as Lagoona rushed at her with super speed. Luckily, Danny moved faster and tackled Draculaura out of the way.
"Trust me. We've got to get these in their ears to snap them out of it.' Danny stated.
"Easier said then done!" Clawdeen shouted, dodging ice blasts from Abby.
"We've only got two pairs of Fentonphones left." Jazz pointed out. "We only can break two off them out of Ember's control for now!"
"Lagoona's too fast! we'll half to free Frankie and Abby first." Danny said
As much as the other ghouls wanted to help all their friends, they knew Danny was right.
"Alright, we've got the numbers advantage, so let's use that to our advantage." Jazz said.
And so they did, Draculaura transformed into her bat form and zipped around in random patterns, confusing Frankie and made it so she couldn't land and accurate shot with her electricity, and keeping her attention away from Danny who phased up from behind her and placed a pair of Fentonphones in her ears. Jazz and Clawdeen did the same for Alivea, while Ari floating up behind her, allowing the ghost girl to place the last pair of Fentonphones in her ears.
"Huh?... what's going on?" Frankie mumbled.
"My head is killing me…" Alivia groaned.
Both Stein girls then notice the Lagoona attacking the others, and that there were two other people that they had never seen before.
"Frankie! Are you alright" Danny asked.
"Danny? What's going on? Why is Lagoona attacking the others?" She asked
"It's a long story, but the short version is that a ghost named Ember has taken over the school by hypnotizing everyone."
Hearing this, both Frankie and Alivia became shocked. They were about to ask more questions but allowed Danny to continue.
"With Ari's help, we managed to free Draculaura, Clawdeen, Cleo, and we just now freed you two from her spell but we don't have anymore of the earphones that can disrupt the signal to free Lagoona."
Ari then spoke. "Before she disappeared, Ember said you built a device for her, do you know what she was talking about?"
Frankie thought for a few moments. "Sorry guys, I can't remember anything." She sadly replied.
That's when Danny remembered what Ember told him. "Wait, Ember said she wanted to broadcast her music to all the monsters around the world, she'd need a device powerful enough to send her signal around the world."
"Guys! Look out!" Tucker's voice caught their attention.
They saw that, Lagoona had set her sights on them. As she rushed towards them, Danny quickly froze the floor, causing Lagoona to slip and slide passed them and into a wall, causing everybody to cringe at the sound of her impacting the wall.
This didn't seem to stop Lagoona as she hoped right back up, but before she could do anything, a green barrier of ectoplasmic energy formed around her.
"Got her!" Danny said happily.
"But what do we do know?" Draculaura asked allowed. "We have no idea where, Ember went."
The group didn't know what to do, when suddenly, and alert came through there I Coffins, prompting everyone to pull out there phones. To everyone's surprise, it was a notification of a live stream from none other then Ember herself, and the group wasted know time clicking the link to the stream.
"Hello to all my fellow monster out there!" Ember shouted.
The first thing they noticed was she was in some large room that appeared to have been fixed up into a performance area with a stage.
"Wait, I know that place…" Frankie spoke aloud. "Ghouls, isn't that the underground level of the power station?"
It didn't take long for the other ghouls to notice it too, it had the same electronic devices along the walls with the stations system controls in the background.
"She's right under my salon! Let's go get her!" Clawdeen howled. It was clear the fashionista was itching for some payback.
It was then, Draculaura had an idea. "We can use the Monster Mapalogue to get the jump on her!" But the moment she checked her pockets, her expression turned to one of panic. "Oh no! I can't find it!"
"Add that to another thing on our to do list." Cleo sighed in irritation.
"Where going to half to reach Ember the old fashion way." Jazz spoke up. "We need to stop her as fast as possible."
"But what about, Lagoona?" Ari asked.
Currently, Lagoona was punching away at Danny's barrier in an attempt to escape but to know avail.
"Maybe she'll just tier herself out?" Tucker wondered.
"That's unlikely." Frankie answered. "Lagoona is on a whole other level when it comes to her athleticism and stamina, she'll be able to keep this up all day."
"Then I'll stay." Danny said.
This caught everyone off guard. "But Danny, you are our best chance at stopping Ember." Ari said.
"I'm also the only one who can make sure Lagoona stays put. None of us want to hurt her but if we don't keep her here, she'll make things much harder." Danny explained.
No one could really argue given the reasoning, but that didn't mean they like the idea of leaving their friends behind.
"Plus, you guys got more then enough brains and skill to stop Ember." He added.
His words seemed to do the trick, as they all nodded in agreement.
"Then let's go show Ember what we got!" Alivia said, generating sparks of excitement.
They all rushed out of creepateria with Jazz trailing behind. "Don't worry, Danny, we'll beat Ember." She said.
Danny couldn't help but smile. As they all vanished from his sight, he turned his attention back to Lagoona, who was still punching away at his ecto shield. He wished there was a way he could snap her out of it.
Monster High (Outside)
The group had just exited the school after dodging a several monsters, and made their way to Clawdeen's salon. But when they got close, they noticed the entire building was swarming with monsters.
Clawdeen groaned in annoyance. "Oh great, now what do we do?"
"I know! We can take the secret entrance that leads directly to the underground level." Frankie suggested.
Seeing it as the safer option, no one argued and they all made their way to the secret entrance. One by one, they went down the latter which lead to a small mining tunnel, and after a short ways, they reached an opening, and saw the large underground area with a massive stage set up.
"There she is." Ari pointed out.
"And that must by the transmission device she plans on using to broadcast her music." Frankie pointed out. "I'm amazed I actually built something like that a few hours."
Frankie was to busy in awe at her genius she didn't notice the "Really? At a time like this?" looks from the others.
"I might be able to hack it with my PDA and reverse the signal to free the rest of school." Tucker said.
"You have another one of those?" Ari asked, knowing Clawdeen crushed the previous on between her teeth.
"I've learned it's best to come prepared." He replied.
"Uh, guys." Draculaura said, catching everyone's attention. "Whatever we do, we should do it fast because it looks like Ember is about to preform."
True enough, Ember summoned her band and seemed to be ready to start.
"We're out of time." Jazz spoke. "Frankie, you go with Tucker and shut down that device while the rest of use go after Ember."
No one argued, it was now or never.
Monster High (Creepateria)
Back in the creepateria, Danny still held his barrier around Lagoona, and the ghost boy had to admit, Lagoona really wasn't giving up. He just hoped his friends and sister could stop Ember without him, he wanted to help them but there wasn't a safe way he could incapacitate Lagoona, as he didn't want to risk seriously injuring her nor did he know how her body would react while frozen so ice was out.
He thought of just phasing out of the room but Lagoona knew where the others were headed and given her speed, she'd get there fast and make things harder. He also thought about duplicating himself but after that fight with Ember, he wasted a decent amount of energy, although he didn't want the others to worry about him so he didn't show it.
'Maybe I can use my possession to break Ember's hold on her?' He thought. Though he didn't know if that would even work given how Ember's music worked. He would need something to snap her out of it but what.
Thinking back, he remembered how he and Sam used a computer to fix Tucker but he didn't have the time or the proper equipment for that, his voice wasn't as bad as Tucker's when it came to singing so he wasn't sure if that would be enough to break the spell, and the only other way he could think of was…
'NOPE, no, no, no, no.' He said to himself. He remembered when he was under Ember's spell and Sam broke the spell by kissing Dash in front of him. That thought made him feel angry just thinking about it, though he knew Sam only did it to help him.
This was different though, while Danny thought Lagoona was cool and pretty, he didn't know how she felt about him that way. They were friends and the shock (whether if it was out of joy or disgust) of a kiss would most likely break but what would Lagoona think if he did kiss her without her approval? She'd probably never speak to him again and that was the best scenario, he didn't want to think about the worst.
Danny didn't have a chance to think more when the sound of footsteps approaching the entrance of the creepateria caught his attention.
"Oh no…" He groaned.
Looks like the sound of Lagoona's repeated attacks on his barrier finally caught the attention of some of the other monsters. Thinking fast, Danny blasted the door with an ice ray, covering it in ice.
"That should hold." He said.
His statement was quickly proven false when something strong began smashing against the doors from the other side, cracking the ice.
"Oh come on! What's on the other side of that wall, a bull!" He shouted.
With one final smash, the ice covered doors were broken down. Danny could only look dumbfounded when the culprit turned out to be a student who was a minotaur also known a humanoid with bull like features.
"I got to learn to keep my mouth shut." Danny said dryly.
His problems only grew when more students moved into the room. With things how they were, Danny was about to escape but then he remembered Lagoona was still trapped in his barrier. Deciding he was done waiting around, Danny dropped his barrier, grabbed Lagoona and turned both of them intangible before rocketing up through the ceiling until he reached the roof.
Though he was safe from the other monster, Lagoona gave him no time to breath and tried to attack him. However, Danny turned intangible, causing Lagoona to pass through him. When they turned around and faced each other, he could see Lagoona seemed more enraged and he hated seeing her like in this state. When the she rushed him again, Danny used his own speed and strength to grab Lagoona's arms and restrain her.
Although he hesitated for a moment. "Please don't hate me for this, Lagoona." Danny took breath before kissing Lagoona on the lips.
Lagoona's movements stopped almost instantly, her eyes slowly returned to normal and her own senses came back to her. She fleet a slight headache but that feeling quickly vanished and was overtaken by one of surprise when she realized that not only was she face to face with Danny, but they were in in fact kissing.
A million thoughts were racing through her mind, what was going on?, why was she kissing Danny?, was he the one to kiss her or was it the other way around?. She couldn't think straight as her heart began to beat so fast she thought it was going to burst out of her chest, and her face was as read as a tomato. But one thing she new for certain, there was a part of her that didn't want this moment to end.
Danny pulled away when he noticed Lagoona's eyes were back to normal, his face was just as red as Lagoona's. Neither of the two said anything until Danny finally spoke. "Uh… Lagoona… are you okay?"
Lagoona didn't say a thing at first, which worried Danny but she quickly regained her composure before replying. "I'm… I'm fine. But Danny, what's happening, I can't remember anything except for getting ready for the talent show and then here I am with you on a roof… kissing."
"Lagoona, I can explain. Right now, a ghost has taken over Monster High using mind control and…" Danny's explanation was cut short when the power station in the distance began releasing a large amount of electricity, catching both their attention.
"What's happing at Clawdeen's salon!?" Lagoona asked aloud.
"I don't know but we need to get there and help the others." Danny said, turning back to Lagoona. "I promise I'll explain everything after we help the others."
Though she was still confused, Lagoona nodded. But right before the two could make their way off the roof, Danny dropped to his knees.
"Danny! What's wrong!" Lagoona kneeled down to his side.
"I'm… fine." He lied.
Danny was not fine, he was out of energy and the pain from his fight with Ember was getting to him. The rest of his body feel down as his senses started to fade, with the last thing he heard was Lagoona calling his name before losing consciousness.
"Danny! Danny!" Lagoona shouted as she tried to wake him up to no avail.
She had no time to think when something unexplainable happened before her eyes. A bright white ring appeared around Danny's midsection, it's intensity caused her to shield her eyes. The ring split into two and passed over Danny's upper and lower body, and as the light faded, Lagoona was left speechless as the teenage boy she knew now had jet black hair, and was no longer wearing his black and white jumpsuit, instead, he was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
"Danny?" Lagoona said softly in confusion.
Power Station (A few minutes early)
As the group were about to make there move and step out of cover their feet and the ground around them were frozen by a beam of ice, stopping their movements.
"I was wondering when you losers would show up" Ember said, turning her attention to the new arrivals, though she raised a brow in confusion when she didn't see Danny. "Huh, where's the ghost boy? Trying to sneak up on me? Well, it doesn't matter, cause I thought ahead!"
Ember points up to the walkway above, revealing Abby Bominable, who was responsible for freezing the ground, and several other monsters.
"You forgot that a small detail, Ember." Ari said confidently. "I'm a ghost as well."
Ari then used her intangibility to phase herself free from the ice trap.
"Oh please." Ember chuckled. "That dipstick, Danny couldn't stop me, what makes you think you can"
"I may be new at fighting but I've learned a few things!" Ari said with a confident grin.
Suddenly a beam of energy struck Ember from her side, sending rock star flying off stage. Everyone looked to see who fired the blast, and to their shock, it was another Ari.
"Wait a minute…" Clawdeen raised a brow. "If that's Ari on stage, who's that?" She pointed her finger at the Ari standing next to them.
The Ari that was by the group spontaneously dissipated into nothingness.
"That was my duplicate." Ari stated proudly. "Before I came down here behind you guys, I created a copy of myself just in case."
"That's voltagous, Ari, we didn't know you could do that!" Frankie said awe.
Ember glared at Ari. "Nice little trick, wannabe. But you're going to need more than that if you want to compete with me!"
Floating up into the air, Ember sent a wave of energy from her guitar at Ari, who narrowly dodged it, while the blast sent Ember's band off the stage. As she took cover behind the stage, Ari noticed one of the band member's guitars and got an idea.
'Let's see if I can put what I practiced in my routine to some use.' She grabbed the guitar and readied herself. 'It's time to fight music with music!'
Ari leaped back on to the stage and summoned her aura around her. "Let's see who's the better rock star, Ember!"
Ember said nothing, but the smile on her face seemed to make it clear she wasn't backing down. Both girls let out a fierce shout as they played their guitars and released power energy waves at each other.
While the two were fighting, Jazz charged up a blast from the Fenton Peeler and blasted the ice around the groups feet, freeing them. "Alright, Tucker, Frankie, go for the machine." She ordered.
The two did as they were told, but stopped when the students on the walkway above descended down in front of them.
"Come on, we got to cover them." Jazz said.
"But what about, Ari?" Draculaura asked.
"She can hold Ember off long enough, they need are help more." Jazz replied.
The ghouls decided to follow, Jazz's instructions and helped clear a path through the other monsters, talking care not to hurt them too badly. They are still their friends, and they weren't going to cause them harm if they could help it.
Alivia was sending off quick low level shots to keep them at bay, Clawdeen transformed and used her agility and strength to tackle students one by one, Cleo used her bandages to wrap out multiple students at once, Draculaura flew fast past the to act as a distraction, and Jazz herself was using her skills to knock down any monster that approached her.
"Whoa! Where'd you learn to fight like that?" Clawdeen asked Jazz.
"From my mom, she started giving me lessons not too long ago." She replied.
It didn't take long for Tucker and Frankie to reach the machine.
"Alright, let's see what we got here…" Tucker pulled out his PDA.
"Are you sure that PDA can help?" Frankie asked. "From what I've read, they aren't used for that."
"Don't worry, my PDA can hack into high tech systems and more." He replied proudly.
Tucker proved his statement when he connected his PDA to the device and got to work. He seemed to be making progress was caught off guard when a power surge of energy traveled through the wire and electrocuted him.
"Tucker!" Frankie acted quickly and absorbed the electricity.
"Wow! That machines got lot of power!" He shouted.
Frankie thought for a moment before it came to her. "While you hack it, I'll keep the energy level in check."
Tucker nodded before getting back to work, while Frankie placed her hands on the large device and began absorbing electricity.
While everything seemed to be going well enough, everyone almost fell to the ground from the vibrations being sent through the ground from Ember and Ari's battle.
Ember was holding a clear advantage but something strange happened. Ari's body started to emit a purple plasma aura, and her eyes glowed a slight red.
'What's this feeling! I… I feel stronger but also… hate and sadness…' Ari didn't understand what was happening to her and she didn't like these negative emotions but it felt like something was taking over her.
A small grin appeared on Ari's face. "That all you got!" She taunted Ember.
Ember smiled back. "Not even close."
With a snap of her fingers, Ember summoned her band back on stage, and they along with the two rock stars begun to play their instruments, and everyone was surprised when the two started to sing with Ember leading

Both girls rushed each other and clashed with their guitars causing a fiery purple aura to emit from the two.

Both girls jumped back into the air and released waves of energy at each other.
[Both] Rebellious faithful! So perfectly identical, typical! You're violently fragile, baby! A copy of anathema, the one and only replica!
The energy the two girls were unleashing began to effect the power station itself. Even the device Tucker was hacker started to discharge strange electric energy that pushed both him and Frankie back. On the surface, the power station was lit up like a Christmas tree.

Both girls flew at each other for one final clash, sending out more electric waves if energy on impact.
[Both] ~ Rebellious faithful! So perfectly identical, typical! You're violently fragile, baby! A copy of anathema, the one and only replica!
With neither of the two being able to keep their energy in check, the resulting explosion blasted the apart from each other and down to the ground.
Everyone could only look on in awe at the battle they just witnessed, and the energy released from that final clash seemed to free everyone enslaved by Ember.
When the smoke cleared, both girls were covered in bruises and their guitars were destroyed.
"This isn't over!" Ember sneered.
"Oh yes it is!" Was all Ember could hear when the all to familiar blue light and sound of the Fenton Thermos covered her body and pulled her in.
Jazz let out a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Draculaura and Clawdeen rushed over to the barely conscious Ari.
"Ari! Are you ok!" Draculaura kneels down next to Ari and lifted the ghost girl into a sitting position.
"I… think so…" groaned in slight pain.
"Ghoulfriend, that was clawsome! And a bit scary… you were like a whole other person! What happened? Clawdeen asked.
"I honestly don't know…" Ari replied.
Both Draculaura and Clawdeen could see something was bothering their friend emotionally but they decided to let her rest… or at least they wanted to, but the electricity discharging from the broadcast device and the other electronics in the room going haywire was not a good sign.
"Oh no!" Frankie shouted. "The energy is causing a massive overload!"
"Please tell me that it doesn't mean what I think it does?!" Cleo asked, her voice clearly indicating she was panicking.
"We half to get rid of all that energy or the entire power station will explode!" Tucker explained.
Frankie looked towards her sister, who she spotted helping some of the newly freed students. "Alivia! Quickly! We need to absorb as much energy from this machine as we can!" She called out.
"You got it sis!" Alivia replied.
The two Stein sisters placed their hands on the machine and began draining it of all it's energy. At first, the others thought the two weren't going to absorb enough energy but that thought was quickly proven false when the energy and electricity started to die down, and soon after, everything went quiet.
Both Stein were now glowing with a faint electric glow. "Yeah! We did it! Sister selfie!" Alivia hugged her sister before pulling out her phone and snapping a pick of her them.
While everyone was seemingly ok, Tucker saw that his PDA had been fried by the overwhelming energy. "Aww come on!"
Frankie placed a hand on his shoulder. "Sorry about your PDA, Tucker." She apologized.
"It's ok. At least the day is saved." He replied.
Everyone agree, and prepared to leave and get back to the school and check on the others when suddenly, Lagoona rushed into the room.
"Lagoona! Your ok!" Draculaura shouted happily.
On closer inspection, the others could see Lagoona herself however was visible not ok and had a worried expression on her face.
"Ghouls! Come quick, Danny's hurt!" She said quickly.
The others gasped in fear, while Tucker and Jazz felt their heart stop.
Around an hour later.
Danny could voices, he began to awaken and the first thing he saw was a the light from ceiling. He slowly tried to sit himself up when a sudden pain in his back hit him, causing him to let out a small groan.
"Take it easy Danny!" Danny looked to she his sister by his bedside.
He then heard Tucker speak on the other side of his bed. "Yeah dude, don't push yourself."
"Guys? What happened?" He asked.
"Well, we managed to be Ember and save everyone." Jazz explained.
Danny let out a small sigh of relief, he was glad that everything worked out.
"But, you passed out." Tucker added. "And… you changed back."
Danny's eyes widened, he took a look at himself and saw that he was indeed in human form. 'Oh no…'
"Did anybody see me transform?" He asked.
*ahem* the sound of someone clearing their throat caught Danny's attention. Looking over near the door of the room, he found all the members of the Ghoul Squad were standing there, arms crossed, although they didn't have anger in their expression, but appeared to be more concerned.
Danny sighed. "I guess, I've got some explaining to do, huh?"
End of Chapter.
Authors Note: Ok, first things first, the reason this chapter took so long for me to post was because I've been busy with family drama and the holidays have been a downer for me in some ways, heck my family's apartment lost power on Christmas day. That along with several other issues almost caused me to give up writing as a whole, but things got better and I don't want to leave story unfinished so I will finish it! But yeah, it's just not been good these past two months for me, but enough about my problems, let's talk about the story.
I made this chapter longer as I think it's the least I can do for making you guys wait so long. I also hoped you enjoyed this chapter, it was by far the most action oriented chapter and I also up you liked the ending battle between Ember and Ari (What happened to Ari during her fight with Ember will be explained in the next chapter). I chose that song because I like it and it fit the overall theme I was going for, though I apologize if you didn't like it. I've also started implementing Generation 1 characters (If you caught the bull reference then you know who it was) and I'll be adapting plots from the Generation 1 movies as well as some other characters as I think they would be interesting.
The next two chapters will mainly be talking and story (There won't be much action). What Vlad was doing in this chapter will be explained in the next chapter. That's about it I think, I'd like to thank those who fav and follow this story, and as always, I'd like to read your reviews. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
Reviews:
grimmangel108: I believe in Generation 2 Cleo said she was about 5,000 years old, and Dullaman's time was (4,000 years ago I believe) so she could have knowledge of him. Yeah, things will get crazy when everything comes to light, and yeah, Ember's gets buffed by chanting. I tried to allude to the monsters being more powerful when controlled by Ember but I don't think I made it clear enough.
ENDDRAGON369: I like Abby as well, I do plan on including her more in future chapters because her character is funny in my opinion.
guilhermefinamori: I do a lot of cliffhangers, and yeah, Danny ran into Ember, but that didn't mean Vlad wasn't around. Obviously Vlad won't just change, and things will happen in the future that will effect his character. I'll think about a Clawdeen x Danny story, but yeah, I'll stick to this for now. I haven't had time to check out the Monster High series but I plan on giving it a look.
Luiz4200: Honestly I think Sam would have mixed feelings, I plan on Sam visiting Monster High soon as well so she'll have interactions with them.
The Brod Road: Things just haven't been going good in life but I'm committed to finishing this story. Tucker has his moments but he might get more than he bargained for with some of the girls at Monster High. Well, you called it, Danny's bad luck kicked in and he had to subdue a mind controlled Lagoona lol.
qazse: Yeah, Tucker just needs to change his approach and he'd get better results.
simm36: Thanks. Them sharing Danny would lead to some funny interactions.
Major Simi: Thanks, I hope you enjoy this one.
