Chapter 11 – Lesser known fairies

No One's POV

It had been six months since the accident and things were going quite well for the couple. Jade had recently, flown back to New York. Once there, she rented a van and packed up all of her personal possessions, then drove back to California. Once Jade got some of her own things in the apartment, did she truly feel like she was living with Tori. That was something that pleased her immensely.

During that time, in addition to them working on their own relationship, Tori and Jade worked on repairing their relationship with Andre, Robbie and Cat. That amounted to spending time with them and being honest about their mistakes, with a good deal of apologizing. Their efforts were working and slowly things were getting back to normal.

Beck stayed in LA, while he completed his court ordered community service and anger counseling. He wrote a formal letter to Tori apologizing for what he had done and thanking her for cutting him some slack. Tori in return write a letter to him formally apologizing for going behind his back with Jade all of those years. Jade wasn't too keen on that letter, but Tori insisted, saying it was part of the healing process. Once Beck was done with his service, he returned to New York where he quickly picked up a part in a Broadway play.

The previous night, Tori had taken Jade to a nice dinner at a good fish restaurant. Once done, Jade instead of driving them home, suggested they see a movie. Once they got to the theatre, Tori looked at the marque and frowned.

In big letters it said, One night only, The directors cut of The Scissoring.

"Jade" Tori said in a rather sarcastic tone as she paused in front of the box office. "How curious, we go to the movies, a night the Scissoring happens to be playing"

"Well uhhh…." Jade replied with a nervous smile.

Tori narrowed her eyes. "You just forgot to tell me." Right?"

"Look Tori," Jade pleaded. "I…." Jade started to say before Tori put her hand over her mouth.

"Will make this up to you. Is that what you were going to say?" Tori snapped as she removed her hand from Jade's mouth.

Looking a bit humbled, Jade nodded.

"Well, you're in luck." Tori retorted with a sinister smile. "Because I'm in the mood to negotiate."

"Negotiate?"

"Yes Jade, Negotiate. Or more to the point, meet my demands."

"Come on Vega!" Jade said, while batting her eyes in most seductive fashion.

Tori however, was unphased, as she pulled out her phone and fiddled with it. Tori's evil grin widened as she held up the phone.

"Jade, what do you see in this picture?"

Jade looked for a moment and with a slight look of surprise, said. "A very skimpy French maid's outfit."

"Yes Jade. I happened to be at the adult bookstore last week looking for some toys for us and happened to see that. Do you think it's pretty?" Tori said with a grin.

"Uh…I guess. Though it's more, sexy than pretty."

"I'm glad you feel that way. Because next Saturday night, you're going to be wearing it. That's if you want me to not only see the scissoring with you, but to have me not mad at you for FORGETTING, to tell me what move you planned for us to see. You see. my maid has been neglectful in some of her cleaning duties needs to be spanked."

Tori then smiled and held out her hand, indicating that shaking it, would mean it's a deal. When Jade seemed to hesitate, Tori tapped her foot impatiently. "Oh, and by the way, my offer expires in exactly 5 seconds. Then I just go home and plan to be mad at you for at least 2 days."

With a quick grumble, Jade reached out and shook Tori's hand.

"I'll bet you thought you could sweet talk me into this Jade. Didn't you?"

Looking slightly humiliated, Jade nodded. "Yes."

"No such luck Jade." Tori then became her bright and perky self and gave Jade a quick kiss. "Come on Baby, let's see the movie. I'm buying the popcorn."

Once she agreed to pay the price, Jade and Tori went in and enjoyed the movie. Tori said she'd pick up the costume this week along with one or two other goodies. Once the movie was done, they went home and made love. Happy as could be, Tori fell asleep in Jade's arms when it was done.

The next morning, as Tori awoke. She quickly realized something was off. It was Sunday and neither of them had anything planned, so it wasn't that. Reaching over, she realized that Jade was not in the bed.

"Damn her" Tori muttered, still half asleep. "I want my morning, Jade cuddles."

But still something felt, off or different. She was lying in bed, under the covers naked. Thinking about it, she gradually became aware of something on her left hand. Pulling it out from under the covers, Tori much to her utter shock saw that on her ring finger was a huge, gorgeous, diamond engagement ring.

As beautiful as it was, Tori did not remember it being there the night before. In fact, she'd never seen it before at all. She didn't have a single drink the night before and all they did was, dinner a movie and then home.

Tori sat up in bed and gazed at the beautiful, at least 2 carrot ring on her finger. It seemed to sparkle like mad. After a few moments of admiring the ring, she realized something was on the nightstand. Looking over, there were two things also which were not there before.

One of which looked like a legal paper of sorts. Picking it up, it was Jade's final divorce decree, dated only 2 days before.

The other thing was the latest copy of Bride's monthly magazine, with her name on the address.

"I never. This ring, this magazine." Tori stammered as she hopped out of bed.

"JADE!" Tori called out.

"I'm in the kitchen Baby."

Not sure what was happening, Tori threw on her robe and ran into the kitchen. There on the table, was a full breakfast, eggs, bacon, pancakes, the works sitting there all ready to go. Jade was sitting there, at the table, with a mischievous grin on her face.

This was becoming too much for Tori, who sputtered, "I have a ring, that magazine, breakfast. What?"

With a puzzled look on her face, Jade held up her left hand, which now held a ring exactly like her own. "How funny. You woke up with a ring on your finger as well. It seems we got a visit from the engagement fairy last night. There's even this note, saying how she's arranged for both of us to get designer wedding dresses and reserved St. Michaels Church next July. Not to mention she made this yummy breakfast."

Speechless, Tori sad down and looked at Jade's ring, which was a twin to hers. After a few moments, she managed to speak again.

"You didn't even ask me."

Jade got up and poured some orange Juice into a glass that was in front of Tori. "Would you have said No?"

"OF COURSE NOT!" Tori roared.

"Well, it seems I didn't' have to, as the engagement Fairy, worked her magic last night. So do you…."

Tori immediately burst into happy tears and proclaimed. "Yes, I'll marry you. I love you so much.

Jade smirked and sat in Tori's lap, then wiped a tear off of Tori's face. "I was going to ask if you wanted a grapefruit, but I'll accept that answer too."

"The ring is so beautiful; your proposal was so beautiful. Yes, I'll marry you."

Unable to restrain her own emotions, Jade began to cry herself and wrapped her arms around Tori.

"Vega, I once said, No one must know about this. Which was, next to, I do, was, probably the stupidest thing I ever said. And we've both been paying for it, ever since. I know that seeing me marry Beck was probably the most painful thing you've ever done. We've spoken about that wedding and its effects more than once. I love you and want to be your wife. I'm only sorry, was too stupid to realize that earlier. But I want you to have the wedding of your dreams. And to contrast what I said in that broom closet, all those years ago, everyone must know about this."

"Yes, I'll marry you, Jade."

"Now you're just repeating yourself, Vega."

"Now you're just being rude."

Jade got off of Tori's lap and began to scoop some eggs onto Tori's plate. "Rude is my middle name. That's why you love me so much."

Tori wiped the last of her tears. "Not quite, but I love you anyway. You didn't have to do all this, you won't get the wedding you want. I figured you'd want something…."

"Black, morbid, full of death…." Jade shook her head. "Nah, my dream wedding on one where I marry you. I don't care if it's in a sewer. If you're happy, then I'm happy."

Tori smiled. "Thank you, ever so much."

Jade quickly smirked. "Just say I do, and we're even."

The pair then started to eat and after a few bites, Tori raised an eyebrow. "Engagement Fairy?"

"She's very real and look at the bounty she has provided us. Not like her cousin, el barato, tooth fairy, who usually only coughs up a few quarters. We have been blessed."

Tori then reached across and took Jade's hand, with a bright smile. "Yes, we have."

Barato is Spanish for cheap.
