Chapter 30: Confront
Part 1: The Accused

While Keith and Violet are walking through the garden in the cool, moonlight night. Keith still lightly blushes and tries to hide it. Suddenly, his nose twitched as he picked up a scent. Keith quietly brought his guard up as he stayed near to Violet's side. As they got closer to the doors that lead to the ballroom, they noticed how quiet it was. With one step into the ballroom, every eye is staring right at Keith. Violet raised a brow, "Everyone," Violet spoke. "What's going on?"
"Princess," Lucas the Duke of Southern Blackboard spoke. "Step away from that Galra Hybrid."
"What?" Keith nearly jumped in confusion.
"Why?" Violet added, "What's going on?"
"That bodyguard of yours," Butch the Duke of Lemaire-South spoke. "He has hurt one of my sons."
"What?" both Keith and Violet jumped in shock.
"That's impossible," Keith calmly stands his ground. "I have never touched one of your sons or any of your children."
"Oh really?" Lavender asked as she glared at Keith, "Then tell the marks that were left behind from you that is on my son," She showed her son; Bayamon, standing with dust and scratches all over his body and clothes.
Violet jumped, "Bayamon?"
"What happened to you?" Keith asked, "Have you and De' Montrae started a fight while...?"
"Don't play dumb with me Galra," Bayamon yelled. "And don't be absorbed in the relationship that lies between me and my brother."
Violet jumped.
"You are the one who has attacked me," Bayamon approached. "You attacked my brother; De' Montrae, you did it while we are in the garden. Before you went..." he stopped and saw Violet's condition is surprisingly cleared from before. "...to...to harm...how...?" His voice becomes very low in shock.
"Keith would never lay a hand on me," Violet spoke. "Not unless I gave him permission to do so, and he gave me his permission in return."
"Plus, she can heal herself very fast when she is thinking positive thoughts," Keith added. "Never negative thoughts, but if she has been thinking negative thoughts. The bruises that were once left behind by you would bring out a different side of the story to accuse me with."
"Wait, what?" Twilight raised an eyebrow as her eyes turned to camouflage and hazel.
"He's tricking us," Bayamon barked. "He's playing around to stall us, and I would never touch the princess as you have accused me of."
Violet began to shake, in anger mixed with fear. Violet turned to Keith's side, grabbed Keith's left arm, and shut her eyes tight as she lay her forehead on his arm and she started to squeeze Keith's arm tight.
Keith lightly blushed as he stands his ground without any reflex.
Everyone jumped
Twilight's eyes turned bright indigo with both of her eyes widened.
Bayamon turned pale. N-n-no way, he thought.
"I...umm...gave her permission to do that," Keith tried to explain as he still blushes.
"S-she...she's under a spell," Bayamon spoke out loud.
Oh great, Keith thought as his ears flatten in irritation and stares at Bayamon. More lies.
"He must have cast upon her," Bayamon spoke. "So he could..."
"Do I even look like a Druid or a Duine to you?" Keith slightly growled.
"A druid? Duine?" Butch echoed.
"A creature that uses quintessence for casting spells or curses," Keith answered. "Met one of the during the Galran War and defeated it after I met it for the second time. He uses his magic on me and failed, so no. However, I am not one of those creatures because he and his kind are uglier than me and my kind beginning all fur or scales. Trust me on that one if you ever met one."
"How did you know how ugly he is?" Twilight raised a brow as her eyes turned hazel.
"For good and bad advice all at once," Keith replied. "Don't remove the mask, it won't be very pretty when you get to battle towards the end."
Everyone gasped in surprise as they stared at Keith about what he has said.
Bayamon grunted, "Why you little...filthy..."
"He's speaking the truth," a voice spoke up from above. Everyone looked up, seeing Aurora; expanded her wings glowing with a pattern of turquoise and pink color at the edges of the tips of her wings. Suddenly, she started flying right toward the scene. Landed right between the crowd, and Keith and Violet. In one flash, Aurora's wings disappeared. "Keith has not been practicing with magic or anything, we only taught him how to protect one of our princesses. Never harm them, not unless he's been provoked by the ones who harmed...the princesses..." Aurora turned to Keith, "Keith, when is the last time when you are with...?"
"Watching the ball," Keith began. "Making sure that Princess Violet wasn't in any danger, till I noticed that she wasn't there. So, I have sniffed the air and begun to follow where her scent has led me to."
"Her scent leads you to her?" Twilight raised a brow as her eyes turned camouflage.
Keith nodded.
"And where does her scent lead you to?" Aurora asked.
"The garden," Keith answered. "Violet was in the garden, but she wasn't alone. Bayamon and De' Montrae was there. De' Montrae wasn't the one who touched her or me, it was Bayamon."
"More lies," Bayamon growled.
"Really?" Keith raised a brow, "Are you the one who said that I was the one who harmed the princess? Or is your mind still into the attempt of raping her within the garden?"
"What?" Twilight jumped as her eyebrow twitched and her eyes turned to the color of indigo and red.
People muttered to one another.
"I was there when you attacked her," Keith continued. "But I wasn't even near you or brother, including that I have not touched you or hit you in that matter. I kept my distance and haven't launched at you with anything, because Violet was in harm's way. But thanks to your brother, De' Montrae. Holding you back so Violet would get away and allow us to leave peacefully. If it wasn't for him, Princess Violet would be harmed by now and I would have attacked you for that reason."
The Celestial Beings muttered to one another as Bayamon nearly sweat as he cleared his throat. "He lies," Bayamon snarled. "He is tricking us, into getting the throne..."
"I have no desire for the throne or going against it," Keith shook his head. "Just paying my debt for the gratitude has given me, plus. Why would you think that I would do such a thing like that?"
"Because you said so," Bayamon pointed. "Before you went after the princess."
"I never said such a thing," Keith held his growl as his ear lightly flatten against his head.
"Oh really?" Twilight crossed her arms as her eyes turn turquoise and lavender. "Tell us, where were you and my sister when or if you have not touched either Bayamon or De' Montrae?"
"At the gazebo," Keith answered. "Attending Violet's bruise that was on her arm, and it was around seven. I think."
"How would you know that?" Violet asked, "We have no sundial or moon dial outside, within the garden. How can you possibly know the time?"
"I can tell by the shadows of the moon has cast overhead," Keith answered. "I calculated the time frame by its light and shadows of the trees to know what time it is. For instance, if the moon is at the highest point of the night sky. With its reflection on the surface of the water, I could easily tell that the time is midnight. And looking it back now, I can tell it was less than a few hours till midnight of this night."
"Oh," Violet calms down a little bit.
"Bayamon!" Twilight nearly shouted as her eyes turned blood red. Turning towards Bayamon, "You said that you were attacked at the southern garden, and it was around that time. And the gazebo was in the north section of the garden. There's no possible way that he was the one who attacked you."
"He lies," Bayamon yelled.
Violet jumped in fright.
"And he is doing it to harm your sister," Bayamon continued.
"But this looks like that Violet is having a reason why she's acting like this," Twilight shouted.
Violet shakes in fear as she squeezes Keith's arm tight.
"Umm, not to be rude." Keith cleared his voice, "But can you at least bring your voice to a minor tone for now?"
"Why?" Twilight asked.
"Your sister hates when people shout or yell at her or each other." Keith explains, "It scares her. That's the reason why I have given her permission to squeeze my arm. Because she is frightened of everyone who is shouting at one another."
"Oh, right." Twilight cools down as her eyes turned light red and it is against the white. "Sorry, I have forgotten about that."
"Don't apologize to me," Keith corrected her. "To your sister."
Twilight's eyes soften as her eyes turned white. "You're right, I should have." Twilight eyes turned blue as she turned to Violet. "Sorry Violet, I've almost forgotten that you dislike everyone's negative shouting and all."
"It's alright Twilight," Violet spoke. "Just help Keith to keep me away from..."
"Uh..." Twilight's eyes turned bright hazel and indigo.
"That doesn't mean anything," Bayamon spoke loudly. "That Galra Blade is..."
"Telling the truth," a voice spoke loudly behind Keith and Violet. Everyone turned to the door that leads to the garden. Seeing Luther carrying De' Montrae; unconscious and covered with blood and dirt all around his body.
