I had someone ask why did I name Zelda Zeruda. Well I didn't want to cause confusion and that is Zelda's name in japanese. So that way I could tell them apart. And I love this temple. The fire temple happens to have one of my favorite warp songs (Bolero of Fire) and one of the coolest mini-boss. (Flaredancer)

-Double, Double, Toil, & Trouble-

Link looked around and noticed the intense lava, the heat, and all the enemies in the room. There were fire keeses, red bubbles, and torch slugs. He began to looked around and noticed a prison cell. Once again, when he freed the Goron, it gave him some advice and then left. He also always found a key that was left behind. When he emerged from saving the second goron, Navi started glowing green. Link did a double take and she squeaked. "Oh Link, look up." He did as he was told and saw a time block.

"What is that doing there?" He asked perplexed.

"Play the song of time," Navi whispered. "Maybe something is up there." Link withdrew the ocarina of time and then began to play the song of time. Where Navi was hovering was where the time block appeared. Link realized he could climb it and see what was up there. He placed the ocarina away and climbed the time block. He noticed there was a door up there. Link finished his climb and walked up to it. He opened it, walked in, and looked around. He noticed a tile flying at him.

"Ack," he cried out, rolling out of the way. He raised his shield and some flying tiles smacked against it. He then saw a voracious and gelatinous tube-like creature moving towards him slowly. After the last tile flew itself into the shield Link was holding, he saw the creature trying to eat him. "What the hell is that?" Link cried out backing away from it.

"It's a Like like," Navi informed him. "Watch out. This creature will suck victims into its wide, round mouth, often robbing them of their shields and tunics before it spits them out." Link only nodded, as he withdrew his Master Sword. He then jabbed at the creature a few times, before it died.

"Ugh," Link shuddered. He left the room and proceeded on. The heat was almost overwhelming and Link would occasionally wipe his forehead with his long white sleeves.

Nearly an hour of wandering and freeing seven gorons, Link entered a maze room, which contained fire keeses and walls of fire. He managed to make it through one side and then he entered a corridor. Realizing a goron was still trapped and not seeing a switch to save him, he continued.

"You don't have a plan?" Navi asked him.

Link let out a small sigh. "Actually, no. I'm just going to keep going, I mean I've been crashed by boulders, attacked by torch slugs, fire bubbles, and now fire keeses. Nothing in the temple is going to be easy, so making a plan won't work. I have to take it as I go and hopefully everything will work out." He made it to a wall with a fake door, which he didn't realize it was at first. He rolled out of the way, when he noticed the door falling towards him. "Really? A fake door?" He was slightly aggravated that he was almost flattened like a pancake. He then placed a bomb in front of it and it blew up.

"Come on," Navi encouraged Link. Link opened the door and saw a wall of fire enveloped around a block. Once he fully entered the room, the door behind him slammed shut with bars.

Link looked over his shoulder. "What? No.." He heard an evil laughter and took a step back.

Suddenly, a flaming scarecrow-like creature jumped out the flames, was a shade of orange, and started spinning. It began to dance around the room and spits of fire tried to hurt Link.

"Navi," his voice shook, as he kept his eyes on the enemy. "What is that thing?"

"It's a flare-dancer," Navi explained. The little spits of fire began to chase the hero.

"What do I do?" Link didn't like fire or heat very much, so he was completely at a lose of what to do.

"Extinguish its flaming clothes first," Navi pointed out.

"With what exactly?" Link huffed. "It's not like I can find any damn water!"

"We'll...figure it out," her voice was uncertain. The flare dancer went into the flames again.

When the flare dancer emerged, it started spinning again.

"Your hookshot," Navi squeaked. "Use that." The hero sighed withdrawing it from his pouch.

Link launched his hookshot and it latched onto it's black head. He pulled the head away, the flaming clothes seemed to disappear. Then he watched in surprise when the head landed on the floor with a thunk and it sprouted legs.

"What. The. Hell?" Link asked perplexed. Once it caught sight of Link, it jumped and shrieked. It ran in the opposite direction and Link sprinted after it. He slashed it with his sword a few times and heard it shriek. It didn't keel over like Link had expected, but jumped back into the roaring fire on top of the platform. "What.." Then the undeniable laugh of the flare dancer was heard.

Link latched onto the head a second time and pulled it away from it's body. He jumped attacked the head twice, before it went into the flames again.

"You're doing good," Navi whispered, as Link wiped the sweat of his face. The Flare Dancer spun like a top and hurled itself at Link. He jumped out the way, feeling the hot air from the fire almost burn the hair off the back of his neck. The enemy laughed and spun around on one leg while kicking Link with the other. Link fell to the ground with grunt, but quickly leaped to his feet.

He aimed his hookshot and fired it for what he hoped was the last time. The hook pulled off it's head and Link quickly drew his sword and sprinted after the tiny creature.

He raised his Master Sword and plunged it through the Flare Dancer's black skull. It shrieked for the last time and Link smirked before something unexpected happened.

The head of the creature expanded to a considerable size. Link tried to back away, but it was too late. The creature exploded and the force threw him into the wall. Navi's scream was drowned out by the Link's own scream, before he landed on the hot stone floor. His sword and hookshot clattering to the ground a few feet away on opposite sides of him.

"Link! Link!" Navi cried. She flew above him, looking at him with worry.

Link could feel nothing but immense pain, and couldn't hear anything aside from his own panting and an extremely loud ringing noise. He could feel blood dripping from his ear, down his neck, and into his tunic. He tried to get up only to experience unbelievable pain. Every part of him hurt and it was much hotter than it had been before. It was like his entire body was engulfed in flames.

"Navi!" Link cried out, his voice echoing very strangely in his head, with the consistent ringing. When Link sat up his head spin violently. He shut his eyes and reached for his right ear, crying out in pain. When he moved his hand, he saw blood. Link's head hurt so much that his vision began to swim and it didn't take long for him to fall back on the hot floor; out cold.

A soft cough shattered the shrouding darkness, while the hylian began to regain consciousness. A headache pounded against his head, as Rinku gave a weak moan. He felt so weak and tired, but he was determined to wake up. His head felt heavy and he could hardly lift it. When he managed to, he noticed Ganondorf giving him a wicked smile.

"Hello hero," he greeted Rinku, who simply glared at him. "I must say, my new creation looks wonderful on you." Confused, Rinku realized the reason why his head was heavy. Ganondorf placed a helmet-like thing on his head. He tried turning his head sideways to make it fall off, but to no avail. "Can't get it off? Perfect."

"What are you planning?" Rinku whispered weakly. Ganondorf had chained the young teen with his hands above his head and his ankles to the wall behind him while he was unconscious and adding this helmet-like thing to his head.

Ganondorf stepped up to him and whispered into his long hylian ear. "Oh a little bit a payback. You see, certain machines have a way of I guess you can say bending people and changing them. I placed some dark energy in you not to long ago. You should remember." Rinku tried to move his head, but a massive hand pushed it against Ganondorf's mouth, causing him to groan. "This is going to feel so good, well, to me. For you, probably not pleasant."

Rinku pulled against the chains and Ganondorf laughed at his attempts. 'Damn it, this is not good. This cannot happen! I have to get away!' Rinku watched out of the corner of his eye, as Ganondorf reached and picked something up. He panted softly, feeling very weak. Ganondorf gave the young teen a small wave, before he pressed the red button. Rinku's eyes widen in pain, as a scream erupted from his lips. The pain continued to intensify throughout his body. He strained against the chains, causing his wrists to become quite chaffed from his struggle. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Rinku bit his lower lip, trying to fight back the scream that was in his throat. He could hardly breath without screaming. His mouth opened and the scream came out. It echoed long and loudly through the prison.

After what seemed like an eternity, Ganondorf pressed the red button and Rinku went limp in his chains. He was panting painfully and he hardly was able to hold his own weight. Ganondorf walked over to Rinku, raising his face by his chin. Unshed tears made his eyes glisten in the torch-lit room, as Ganondorf smiled. "I think you finally understand what I can do to you, dear boy. But no matter a few more times and you won't even remember my name." Rinku tried to register what his said, but was in too much pain to even allow it to process. After a minute or so, Rinku fell unconscious.

"Link! Wake up! Link!"

A distant voice was shouting at him. He didn't want to wake up, because everything hurt way to much. After a minute, he finally had to open his eyes, which stung the moment his eyelids stopped protecting them.

Once Link pushed himself up on his sore arms and blinked away his blurry vision, he saw the voice was not distant at all. Navi was fluttering in front of him, but her voice sounded far.

"You're awake," she squeaked and she backed away. Link could only moan in response and sat up. "Hey! Take it easy, Link." It was so hot...it hadn't been this hot before. He was covered in sweat from head to toe because of the heat, but also from passing out.

Link clutched the side of head, but his right ear throbbed so painfully he had to let go. He also realized that it was so hot, there may as well be a fire kindling under his skin. The whole right side of his body was stinging and he looked down quickly. His tunic was scorched, exposing his blotchy, blood red skin.

Link cried out at the sight of his skin, hovering a hand above the exposed areas, wondering if he should dare touch it. It was burning so badly that tears sprung up in his eyes and he hissed a breath through his teeth.

"Ow..." he moaned softly, continuing to examine the horrible sight of his burnt skin. He screwed his eyes shut and began to pant. "Navi..it-it hurts...too much..." He was trying so hard not to act even more like a child.

"Don't touch it!" Navi shouted. "You have to take some red potion." Link was in too much pain, so he withdrew a bottle of red potion. He drank the bitter drink in two gulps, grimacing slightly. He waiting a few minutes and noticed the potion starting to kick fire was dulling to an ache and he still couldn't hear very well out of his right ear.

"Look!" Navi shouted bouncing up and down in the air. Light was spiraling up from the ground and before Link's very eyes, a large wooden chest materialized. He groaned as he slowly got to his feet and Link shuffled his way over to where the chest was. He walked up the stairs of the platform with great difficulty and opened the wooden chest.

Inside laid a massive silver hammer and Link recognized it from the story Goron Link told him. He withdrew it from the chest and placed it in his pouch. Wincing out of pain, Link withdrew the Ocarina of Time. He raised it to his lips while the fire in his right arm flared up in protest.

"What are you doing?" Navi asked loudly, before Link could play.

"Getting out of here," he answered simply, not meaning to shout. "I need a new heat resistant tunic, and heal my wounds before I can continue." Navi flew into Link's hat while he played the Bolero of Fire, both of them anticipating the insane heat of the crater.

When the hero landed on the triforce platform a loud shriek rattled his thoughts. He looked up and saw lizafos, stalfos, and moblins.

"Na-Navi," he whispered, watching the creatures glare at him. The tiny fairy flew out of his head and gasped when she saw the enemies. "Go get some help, please," Link continued. He was so worn out already, his head was swimming and his burns ached. "Now."

"Sheik?" She asked. Both Link and her watched the enemies start gnashing their teeth and drawing their weapons.

Link shook his head while drawing his own sword, leaving his shield on his back because of his burned arm. "No. I don't know where he is. The Gorons...get them.."

"Are you going to be-"

"Navi, go now!"
