I honestly loved that last chapter. I am so glad many of you did as well. Ice Cavern is like a mini temple. What is the boss? Those Freezards or that White Wolfos you can kill in one jump attack? Lol. Wow, I just looked it up and the white wolfos is the mini dungeon boss because it's "protecting" the iron boots, Geez, what a change, it should have been those freezards, lol. xD
-Adventures of the Hero & a Princess-
Link let out a soft gasp, removing his sword from the scabbard. His Master Sword was counterattacked by a dagger. When he turned his head, a smile exploded on his face. A stern woman stood behind him, one of her hands on her hips, but her red eyes staring at the young hero. "Impa!"
Impa only nodded, staring at him. "Come. You must rest in my house." Link followed her back into Kakariko Village.
He raised his eyebrows, looking at her. "Where is Princess Zelda? Is she safe?"
"Yes, she is safe," Impa crossed her arms over her chest. "For where she is, I cannot tell you."
Link was taken back, and his mouth dropped opened. "W-W-Why not? I am to-to be helping her, am I not?" He couldn't help, but sputtering out his response. He just stared at the sheikah, flabbergasted. She knew of Princess Zelda's location and she wouldn't tell him. That upset the blond hero a lot.
"It was her orders," Impa whispered. "As to why she ordered it, I am not sure. I believe she is keeping her location secret, so the King of Evil does not find her." Link drew in a deep breath. It would make sense, wouldn't it? Link thought about it and it did make sense. If Ganondorf found Zelda, they would all be in danger.
"I understand," Link whispered, as they finally reached Impa's house. She opened the door, took a step in, and froze in her tracks. Link looked around her and saw Sheik was sitting down in a chair, looking at them both. "Sheik, what are you doing here?"
Sheik raised a brow, looking at Impa. "I needed to speak with Lady Impa, but I wasn't aware she was bringing a guest." Navi flew out of Link's hat and landed on Sheik's outstretched hand. Impa sat down and Link sat beside her. He leaned back slightly, feeling tired. It was hard for the hero to keep his eyes open.
"Sheik," she squeaked in excitement. Sheik couldn't help, but smile at the kind-heart fairy.
Zeruda giggled softly, as she was able to see the interaction. She glanced at Link and noticed how worn out and tired he appeared. 'Allow Impa to direct him to a bed, look at him.'
Sheik looked at the hero and noticed his eyelids were closing. She looked at Impa and then at Link. Impa caught her eyes and looked at Link. His eyes were fully closed and his head was tilted to the side. Impa helped the hero to his feet and took him downstairs.
Once Link and Impa were out of sight, Navi looked at Sheik. "Princess?" She whispered. Sheik's red eyes widen and Zeruda was shocked that the fairy figured it out.
"How..." Sheik asked.
Navi smiled knowingly. "It was pretty obvious. I figured out when I first saw you. Link, obviously, hasn't figured it out, but I think he has a feeling it's you. He won't admit it though, because if he knew it was you, he'd worry about you nonstop and won't concentrate on his mission. I promise I won't tell him. I haven't thus far, either."
"Thank you," Sheik whispered. She bowed her head, thinking. 'I am considering allowing Navi to know about you.'
"Do you think it's wise?" Zeruda asked her, gently. She didn't know if it was a good idea.
Neither of them said anything else, until Impa appeared. Sheik looked up at her. "Tell me, Sheik. How long did you know?"
Sheik knitted her brows together. "About?"
"Princess Zeruda," Impa whispered. Sheik and Zeruda both gasped. "It's not hard for me to sense her presence within. Have you forgotten what I taught you and trained you to do? From what era is she from?"
Sheik bowed her head. "You know of the Hero Chosen by the Gods, Rinku, correct?"
"The hero that is from many years into the future," Impa nodded. "I believe he is from 1,000 years or so."
"Well, Princess Zeruda is his Princess, like I am Link's," she whispered. Impa looked at Navi. "She already knew," Sheik added. "She is a remarkable fairy." Navi smiled, landing on Sheik's shoulder.
"I can give her a physical form, if she'd like," Impa looked at Sheik.
Zeruda thought about it for a minute. 'If you think it can be done, but isn't Ganondorf after the blood of the goddess? I'd need a disguise.'
"I heard her and I can guarantee her one," Impa whispered. Sheik didn't seem surprised.
'Very well,' Zeruda whispered. A bright light engulfed Sheik and she moaned softly. She closed her eyes tightly. It felt like her skin was on fire. After a few moments, Sheik reopened her eyes and they landed on a beautiful, young woman before her. Her skin was a light tan, her long brunette strands were in a braid, her grayish-blue eyes were like the morning sky, and a rare smile appeared on her lips. Her attire consisted of a pair of brown boots, beige pants, a purple tunic, with gold accented the edges, and a purple hat, similar style to that of Link's. She wore fingerless gauntlets, an arm bracer on her right arm, and the sword in father left was strapped to her back. She was presented with a veil over her nose and mouth to conceal her face from Impa. It was also purple in color.
"My, don't you look dashing,' Sheik commented. She realized her descendant looked like her, if not, slightly older. This Princess in front of her was already a young adult when danger befell her kingdom. Sheik felt bitter, but it was quickly dismissed. 'Why am I bitter? It's not her fault in the slightest.'
"Thank you," Zeruda smiled slightly. She carried a sense of maturity and respect. Sheik smiled and nodded.
Navi flew from Sheik and flew towards Zeruda. She held her hand out and Navi landed on it. "I am sorry about Rinku." Zeruda raised a brow and then bit her lower lip. "I do hope he is alright."
Zeruda nodded. "So do I."
"We need to figure out what we are going to do," Impa replied to them. Both females looked at her. "I hear that Rinku has been captured by Ganondorf." Both girls nodded. "Hmm..it may be something you don't want to hear, but I think he might have been manipulated or killed by Ganondorf."
Zeruda was shocked and she gasped. "Why do you say that?"
Impa looked at her. "Do you feel his essence?"
Zeruda closed her eyes and gave a small nod." It's faint, but it's still there." She reopened her eyes.
"Then if you can sense him, he was probably turned evil," Impa concluded. "It's not for sure, it's merely a guess. Ganondorf doesn't like to keep prisoners for very long. He'd do something to them to make them work for him or kill them if he doesn't deem them worthy enough."
"But Rinku is a hero," Zeruda inquired.
"It doesn't mean Ganondorf wouldn't do anything," Sheik replied. "He may have a strong will, but Ganondorf possesses the triforce of power and he is also a gerudo. He has ties to dark magic and it's amplified with the triforce of power. He probably has Rinku under a spell or something. He may be the hero, but he is also mortal. All mortals are merely human. You cannot possible hold a hero to higher standards and make a drastic mistake. I know I did." Sheik bowed her head. "I held Link to near impossible expectations and I have to remember he has the mind of a child still. He is a 10-year-old child in a 17-year-old body. He still has his innocence and because of a mistake I made as a child, he is paying the consequences. I don't want him to lose that innocence."
Navi landed on Sheik's shoulder. "Link understands." Sheik looked at her. "Honestly, he does. He wanted to do this, not because he had it. He did it because he wants too. No one was going to stand up to Ganondorf, so he did. Trust me, he'll keep his innocence."
Sheik smiled at the little fairy. "You seem much wiser than I, Navi. Thanks."
Impa did clear her throat. "One more thing," she gained the attention of the occupants in the room. "You are accompanying Link on the remainder of his journey." Sheik saw Zeruda's eyes widen when she heard that.
Zeruda looked at Impa. "Alright, I will do so." She thought for a second, before she spoke again. "However, I do wish to speak with you in private. Is that okay?" Impa nodded and nodded to Sheik. Sheik watched Impa and Zeruda go upstairs. Sheik bit her lower lip, trying not to become jealous about her descendent being around.
Once they were upstairs and in a room, Impa turned to her. She closed the door behind her gently. "Let me guess. You are concerned on how to return home?"
"Well honestly, I am," Zeruda folded her arms across her chest. "I mean, I am not exactly sure how I arrived the way I did. And will Rinku return with me?"
"Yes, unless," her voice trailed off.
Zeruda felt her stomach constrict. "Unless what?"
Impa looked at her. "Unless he is killed." Zeruda gasped, raising a hand to her mouth. "But we will do everything we can to prevent that from happening." Impa placed a hand on Zeruda's shoulder. "I promise you that will save Rinku from Ganondorf."
"I want to believe that we can save him," Zeruda whispered. "I fear for him. I..I never told anyone, but I love him." Impa smiled. Zeruda blushed. "He...he saved my kingdom and he didn't have too. I am forever in his debt and the past two months I spent so much time with him. He is wonderful, and it's hard to describe sometimes."
"How so?" Impa inquired, raised a brow.
Zeruda closed her eyes, reliving the moment in her mind.
Flashback
Zeruda watched Rinku carefully, who was training with some of the soldiers. Though he was smiling, his eyes always showed his true emotions. He was between angry and sadness, but she didn't understand why.
"Hero," Zeruda called out to him. Rinku and the soldiers all stopped, turning to her. They all bowed out of respect. "Please follow me hero. The rest of you, please continue." They nodded, as Rinku got his feet. He followed her down the corridor. She stopped and turned to him. "Rinku, what plagues you?"
Rinku's eyes widen slightly, as he stared at her. He realized that she would know. She had the Triforce of Wisdom for a reason and she was also his Princess. "I-I wouldn't want to burden you with my troubles, your majesty."
"If it troubled me, I wouldn't ask," she countered. He bit his lower lip, before he let out a gentle sigh.
"I...I think I had feelings for Midna, but..." he looked down. "Now..I'm confused." Rinku removed his hat before he ran his hand through his hair. He replaced it and looked at her. "I..I have feelings for someone else though. I.." the teen stopped, gathering his thoughts. "I love you, your majesty." Her eyes widen and a rare smile crossed her lips. "I understand that it may disgust you that a mere commoner, a goat herder from Ordon, is in love with you, but..." he was cut off, when Zeruda pressed her lips against his own.
In the heat of the moment, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Rinku wrapped his arms around her slender waist, pulling her close. After a minute, Zeruda pulled away. "I'm sorry." She then stopped and then cleared her throat. "Actually, I'm not." Rinku looked at her, perplexed. "I love you."
Rinku froze, letting her words sink in. "Wait, what?"
Zeruda smiled at Rinku, as a small giggled escaped her lips. "I said I love you, Rinku."
He couldn't move, as he watched her wink at him, before she hurried down the corridor. Rinku touched his lips, smiling softly.
As she hurried away, Zeruda touched her lips.
End Flashback
"You really love him," Impa concluded. "It's perfectly natural."
"Yes, but I know that it's also impossible," she whispered. "I'm royalty and he is.."
"The man who saved Hyrule," Impa interrupted, raising her hand. "I am sure there are a few in your council who would love to have him be with you."
Zeruda bit her lip. "My father left in his will I may marry any man I deem worthy," she said. "It doesn't state that he had to be noble either."
"Then you are free to marry Rinku if you choose," Impa smiled.
Zeruda could only hope they could stay true to that.

Darkness, that was only Rinku could register. Why was there only darkness? Then his mind went blank, as though his memories just faded. He couldn't remember who he was and where he was. He wanted to know why he was there. What was going on? Rinku? Was that his name? Why did it sound so familiar? He could see a man looking at him. Crimson strands, ashy skin, and golden hues completed this intimidating man's appearance. A cruel smile on his lips. Rinku tried to speak, but it seemed as though his mouth wasn't working.
Suddenly, darkness filled his vision once again. Distorted objects, shapes, and surrounded invaded his vision, making it extremely blurry. He had no idea what was going on. All he knew it he was suddenly very sleepy. His consciousness slipped and only darkness was known.
Dark Rinku felt Rinku's essence finally settle, before he looked at Ganondorf. "It appears that his memories are finally gone, but he keeps trying to resurface, Master."
Ganondorf stroked his chin. "He is one of the heroes, so I am not surprised. His strong will, determination, and that blasted stubbornness he possesses poses a problem. Just keep him at bay. Even if you are somehow forced out, he won't have memories. Only true love's kiss can save him and last I checked, he is hundreds of years away from his love."
"What should I do?" Dark Rinku asked him. Ganondorf went on to discuss his plan to Dark Rinku, who smiled evilly. "Very well, consider it done, my lord." Dark Rinku left and Ganondorf smiled widely. Finally, his plan to rid the two heroes who stood in his way was in motion. He would kill the Hero of Time and through doing so, destroy Rinku and his future.

The morning sun began to shine into the room a blond young teenager was occupying. It flashed upon his face and he gave a sleepy moan. Link raised his hand to shield his eyes, before he opened them slowly. He looked around the room, before his eyes landed on a beautiful young woman. He took in her lightly tanned skin , but what got him the most was her sleeping face. She looked like his princess, but her hair was brown, not blond. The girl stirred and opened her eyes. Link leaned up to his elbows, watching her. The girl sat up slowly. She gasped, looking at Link.
"Who are you?" Link asked, swinging his feet over the edge. The girl hesitated, before looking down.
"Not sure I can say," she finally whispered. She raised her eyes to Link. The door opened and Impa stood in the doorway with Sheik beside her.
"Oh good, you are both awake," Impa said, looking at Link and then at Zeruda. She walked in and then Sheik closed the door after she walked in. "Okay, then. Link, are you wondering who she is?" He nodded, looking at the tall sheikah. "You know who Rinku is to you?"
"Yeah," his voice trailed off. His eyes widen slightly. "You mean..."
"Yes," Impa concluded. "That is who she is to your princess." Link looked at the newcomer and gave her a small smile. She returned the smile. "She'll accompany you on the rest of your journey."
"Really?" Link smiled more, glad to have someone else with him. It made him feel more confident.
"Well, I talked to them about it when you went to bed," Zeruda told the blond hero. She was soft spoken and very pretty. Sheik felt jealousy tug at her heart, but she remained quiet. It made her jealous that her descendent was going to be able to spend time with Link and accompany him. She turned and left the room without a word. Impa sighed softly.
"I'll leave you two to get ready," Impa whispered. "I want you both to eat before you leave though." Link and Zeruda both nodded solemnly. Impa exited the room and saw Sheik standing on the stairs, a faraway look in her eyes. "Jealous?"
Sheik rolled her eyes. "Don't be ridiculous. I would never..." her voice trailed off. Impa raised a brow and Sheik relented. "Okay, fine I am, happy?"
Impa chuckled, placed a hand on her shoulder. "It shows that you're growing up and having feelings for him."
Sheik turned red, as she walked up the stairs, shaking her head. "He loves Malon from Lon Lon Ranch. I'm merely his princess." With that said, she hurried up the stairs. Impa stopped, letting out a small sigh. So Link ended up falling in love with the farm girl. She couldn't do anything, just hoped everything worked out.
"So you're Rinku's princess?" Link asked nearly an hour later, as the two of them were leaving Kakariko Village with Navi flying above them. Zeruda gave Link a smile and nodded softly. "You are really pretty."
Zeruda's eyes widen, as her smile grew. "Well thank you, Link." The blond hero blushed and nodded.
Navi flew out of his hat. She looked in the direction of Zora's Domain. Link and Zeruda noticed this. "What's up?" Link questioned his fairy companion.
"An arctic wind is blowing from Zora's River..do you feel it?" Navi asked in a soft tone. Zeruda felt a chill in the breeze, but turned to Link. The blond hero closed his eyes and let the wind blow around him for a minute or so.
He reopened his sapphire hues, bring a hand near his mouth. "Navi is right," he reported to Zeruda, turning to look at her. "The wind is unusually cold. Let's go see if the Zora's are okay." Zeruda nodded, following Link, as they made their way to Zora's Domain. When they reached the cliff in front of the water fall, he withdrew the ocarina.
He closed his eyes and played Zelda's Lullaby, as Zeruda's eyes widen in surprise. She wasn't aware that he knew the tune so well. Suddenly, the waterfall parted and revealed an entrance. Link grabbed Zeruda's hand gently and helped her leap the gap.
"Thank you," she breathed out a reply.
"You're welcome," he smiled, but the he involuntarily shivered. He wasn't easily chilled, so what happened? He entered the corridor and looked around. A gasp escaped his lips, as Zeruda bought a hand to her mouth. It was frozen. Zora's Domain was totally frozen in solid and thick ice. Link was completely dumbfounded. Zeruda felt a pang of sadness fill her soul. The poor Zora's were trapped under this thick ice sheet. The blond hero was still looking around, when Zeruda looked at him.
"Link?" She whispered, gaining his attention. She pointed towards the stairs. "Let's go see if anyone is around and aware of the situation that is happening here. Okay?" He nodded, as the two of them walked up the stairs. Then where shocked to see the Zora king trapped in red ice. Then looking around, noting no one else was there. Link began to ascend the walkway on the right side and made it to where the King sat.
"Wow, um..." Link stopped. "Let's go to Zora's Fountain." He walked past the frozen Zora and entered the ice cold water.
Zeruda shivered slightly, wrapping her arms around herself. "Oh my, this is very cold." She commented, but followed Link nonetheless.
Once the two of them made it outside, Link looked around. He rose his eyebrows in confusion. "Where is Lord Jabu-Jabu? That's the Zora's Guardian deity." Zeruda didn't know who that was, but she looked around. She saw what looked like a cave on the other side.
She pointed to it. "Is that a cave over there?"
Link turned and looked in her direction. "Yeah, that is a cave over there." Link saw the platforms of ice and looked at Zeruda. "Looks like we have to hop across to get there." She nodded, following the blond hero towards the cave. After they jumped onto the ice platforms, they finally made it. Link shivered and let out a involuntary sneeze.
"Bless you," she offered him a tissue. He accepted it and wiped his nose.
"Thanks," he stuffed it into his pocket. "Come on."
They both looked at a sign that read 'Ice Cavern.' Zeruda knitted his eyebrows together. 'Could this be Snowpeak Ruins in the future? The location is correct. It is right next to Zora's Domain. Hmm, interesting.'
"Ready?" Link asked. She nodded and the two of them entered the icy cave. Although it was beautiful, it was cold. Link withdrew two cloaks from his pouch, offering her the purple one and he wore the green one. They walked in and he immediately withdrew his sword, smashing icicles that stood in his way.
A few stalatites fell from the ceiling, narrowing missing them both. Navi shivered under his hat. "Are you okay, Navi?"
A small whimper was heard. "Y-yeah, just re-really cold." Link felt bad, not having a cloak from his fairy companion.
"Just stay in my hat for now, okay?" Link whispered. He felt her nod. They reached another set of icicles that he smashed. In this room, it had three enemies that were entirely made of ice and a blade trap. They all went at them and blew air at them. Link felt his arm became encased in ice and he smashed it against the wall, breaking the ice.
"Give me a second," Zeruda whispered softly. "I've got this in the bag." He only nodded, as he watched her retrieve her bow and pulled out an arrow. She focused it on one of the enemies and focused her magic on it. Her arrow was encased with lightning, before she let out go. It hit the enemies and it screamed before it exploded. "Why don't you try using your sword against that one and I'll try to get the other?" She suggested. He nodded, as the two went to work destroying the enemies.
Within minutes, they stood there smiling at one another. "Let's go." Link said with a grin. They walked down a corridor and Link smashed the icicles in their path. They continued and noticing a spinning scythes. There was also five silver rupees. He collected four of them before he ducked before the spinning scythes could cut his head off. He noticed a platform and climbed it. Zeruda remained out of the way. Once the spinning scythes was out of the way, he jumped down and collected the final silver rupee.
Zeruda saw a door that was bars open and she looked at Link. "I believe we go up there." She pointed it out to him. Then the two made their way to the stepped, climbed up, and looked around. "We need to finish this, so we can start the Water Temple." Link looked down. He was thinking about Rinku.
Zeruda bit her lower lip. "Link, I miss him too." When they both rounded the corner, two blade traps and another freezard was there. Zeruda removed her bow and arrow. She, once again, encased it with lightning once again and let it hit the enemy. It exploded and they timed themselves safely and crossed. Then they both walked down a corridor, avoiding any stalatites that fell from the ceiling. Then they both walked down a few steps. Upon reaching more icicles, Link withdrew his blade and smashed them out of the way.
Link and Zeruda stopped at the entry way to a new room. There, the princess caught sight of three ice keeses, several freezards, and some bluish looking flames. Link watched her carefully to see what she was doing. Zeruda withdrew her bow and arrow, aimed for an ice keese, and let it go. It hit the keese, who let out a some shriek. Link withdrew his own bow and arrow, ending the life of the second keese. They both withdrew another arrow and with perfect timing, they let it fly. They defeated the last keese.
Link made it his way up an icy platform, noting a freezard at the top. He stood just out of range from his air. Zeruda saw one take shape, but Link was too high up for this one to attack him. Once Link spotted an opening, he hacked and slashed this freezard, until he was no more. Then he jumped on the platform with the bluish flames were. He withdrew two empty bottles and caught some blue fire.
"I got it, now we can finish," Link smiled at Zeruda, who nodded. The two of them left that room, and made their way back to where the spinning scythes were at. They waited until it was safe and the scythes were near them. He withdrew some blue fire and melted the red ice. "So blue fire melts the red ice, huh? It might work on King Zora."
Zeruda looked at him. "Make sure to get some more along the way." Link nodded, as they walked down a corridor. He noticed more icicles that he smashed with his sword. Another stalatite fell from the ceiling, hitting Link in the head. Zeruda gasped, as Link nearly collapsed from the unsuspecting icicle. She caught him and when down to her knees. She removed his hat to examine his head. The stalatite left a puncture wound where blood was flowing from. Zeruda reached into her pouch and retrieved some bandages. She gently wrapped it around Link's wound. Navi was watching quietly, and was shivering under Link's cloak.
"Will he be okay?" Navi asked. Zeruda nodded softly. She gasped when she caught sight of his right ear. It was horribly maimed, but his right ear was very badly scarred. Looking lower, scars ran down Link's neck and below his collar to disappear under his shirt. She reached a hand out to touch it, but decided against it. She then ran her fingers through his blond strands. After a few minutes, a soft moan escaped the blond hero lips. He opened his sapphire hues slowly and looked around.
"Ow," he whispered, slowly sitting up and he looked at Zeruda. "What happened?"
"A stalatite hit you in the head," Zeruda replied. "I managed to fix your wound and cover it. You'll be okay."
Link blushed. "Thanks."
"You're welcome," a faint blush graced her cheeks. Link was certainly every bit like the one she knew inside and out. "Come on," she got to her feet, extending her arm out to help Link. He took her hand and she pulled him up to his feet. They finally reached a room that was beautiful with crystals all around. A howl made them turn and saw a white wolfos, circling the two. Link had his sword and shield in hand. He jabbed at the wolfos, who retaliated and managed to swipe at Link's arm.
"Gah," he gasped out in pain. Blood opened and began to trickle down his arm. Zeruda removed her sword and then she jabbed into the wolfos' chest, who was about to attack Link once again. It let out a howl of pain and disappeared into nothing. Suddenly a chest opened and Link fell to his knees. Zeruda was at his side within seconds and withdrew her bandages again. She wrapped it around Link's arm, and then replaced it. She then withdrew a bottle of red potion, helping him drink some.
"There you go," she mused, after he took a drink. He grimaced slightly, before he unsteadily got to his feet. She pushed herself up, as he walked over to the chest. He opened it and saw boots that looked like there were made of iron. He slowly was able to hold on, but he put it in his pouch. He manage to grab the other one and put it in there.
When he turned, Sheik was standing there. Princess Zeruda turned and saw her as well. Link gasped in surprise. "Sheik."
"We meet again, Link," Sheik whispered softly. She nodded to Zeruda, who nodded back. "If you came her to meet the Zoras, you wasted your time...This is all there is."
Link's face fell. "Really? Man."
Sheik raised her hand. "With one exception, the Zoras are now sealed under this thick sheet, unaware of what is happening. I managed to rescue the Zora princess from under the ice, but...she left to head for the Water Temple. This ice is created by an evil curse...The monster in the Water Temple is the source of the curse. Unless you shut off the source, this ice will never melt."
"Water Temple," Link whispered, realizing how close he was to saving Rinku.
"If you have courage enough to confront the danger and save the Zoras, I will teach you the melody that leads to the temple," Sheik's tone grew soft and low. "Time passes, people move...Like a river's flow, it never ends..A childish mind will turn to noble ambition...Young love will become deep affection..The clear water's surface reflects growth. Now listen to the Serenade of Water to reflect upon yourself." She withdrew her lyre and played a beautiful melody on her lyre. Link listened and then he played it a few times until he got it right.
Sheik put her lyre away. "Link, I'll see you again."
"Wait," Link called out. He tried running to her, but she threw a deku nut and disappeared. A disappointed look crossed Link's face. "Always happens." Zeruda felt bad, but she didn't know how to make him feel better. "Let's go." Link managed to find an exit, as Zeruda followed him.
They both arrived back to King Zora, when Link withdrew the blue fire. He used it and it unfroze the King. Then they bot stood on the platform before her. "Oh I've come back to life! Was it you who saved me?"
"We both did, your majesty," Link's voice was a little shaky. He wasn't sure if the King would remember him as the boy he asked to rescue his daughter from Lord Jabu-Jabu,
King Zora laughed slightly. "Don't be nervous. It looked like you have a hard time breathing underwater. As an expression of my gratitude, I grant you these tunics. With these, you won't choke underwater." He presented them both with a blue tunic."
"Your majesty," Link turned to him. "Thank you. I am going to assist your daughter at the Water Temple."
As they turned to leave, he heard King Zora's sad reply. "Oh I see, Princess Ruto went to the Water Temple."
Author's Note: Well that was truly fascinating. I never expected this chapter to become as long as it did. But the story is moving along and now the Water Temple is next. Thanks, you guys, I appreciate the support. xD If I missed anything or had spelling errors, I apologize. Also, I am aware I skipped the room with the block puzzle and silver rupees, but I don't want to write it out. Yes, lazy me. Besides, it's better this way. Enjoy! xD
Do you all enjoy Princess Zeruda aiding Link in this journey?
