Omake 3: Memories of a Forgotten Winter
It was winter when they arrived, the exiled excuse of a God crawling through the piles of snow that served as her village boundaries. She could see him trembling under the magically summoned barrier's onslaught and she would've left him there had it not been for the bundle of clothes in his arms that started crying when her godly eyes skimmed over it.
"An offering?" She'd ask, knowing that it was not above him to use others for his own gains.
"No!" The God clutched the bundle tighter to his chest, glaring at the Goddess for uttering those words.
"Then leave, your kind is not welcomed here" She'd say, turning around to leave the God to his own fate.
For three days and three nights he stayed there, with the winter's cold biting at his skin and the incessant crying of the infant in his arms that the God broke his promise to Heavens and kept warm with what little Arcanum he had left.
For three days and three nights she watched, curious as to why the God that never spared a thought for others withstood so long for. Her curious nature played against her, and she'd appear before him again at the dawn of the fourth day with a bottle in her hand.
"Give him to me" She'd request, and the God would turn her down by clutching the bundle in his arms tighter and glaring at her.
"No! He's not an offering!"
"You stupid God!" She'd scoff, snatching the bundle from his weakened self.
The God yelled, crawling towards her and shouting for her to not touch even a single hair on the baby's head.
"Quiet!" She'd shout back, surprising the God when she displayed the bottle in her hand and brought it up to the little opening where the baby's face could be seen. Barely a second passed before the baby woke up, and before it could cry its first cry of the day, she'd push the bottle into his mouth and nursed him.
The God watched, quiet, surprised, happy, and angry all at the same time.
"What has brought you here, Zeus" She'd ask once more, her overbearing presence in her domain being lessened by her mothering nature taking control.
The God would kneel and beg her, something he had never done for anybody except his wife when he apologized for cheating on her again.
"I beg of you, o'liminal one. Raise that child"
She'd laugh, throwing her head back as her crazed laughter reverbed in the wintery dawn of her barrier.
"Enough with the jokes, speak the truth or neither will leave this wintery prison alive" She'd warn, giving the old God another chance.
The God would stand to his feet and sulk, any other God would've taken the bait he'd laid on. He should've known better than to try such a cheap tactic with the Goddess of Crossroads.
"Fine" The God looked at the bundle in her arms like a man that had seen the world burn before his very eyes "He's all I have left, all that is left, and all that will be left. My grandchild not of my own blood, but still loved as one. I have nowhere to go and nowhere to return, in this crossroad I ask for the Goddess of this domain to make a contract"
The Goddess would look down at the bundle with different eyes for the first time since she saw it, a look of godly curiosity.
"Speak your terms and state your price" The Goddess would abide to her official summoning.
"To hide the child from the world until he's of age, to raise the boy into a proper young man, and to nurture him like the mother he lost" The God would speak his terms, each one increasing the price tenfold before he stated his price.
"I pay with a promise upon my mother's name"
A bell rang, signaling the acceptance of his first term and accepting the price.
"I pay with a millennium serving as your lost spear"
A second bell rang.
"I pay with a vow upon our primordial grandmother"
A third bell rang.
The Goddess would cease the storm attacking the God's weakened body, surprising the gray-haired old man.
"It would do me no good to lose my spear right after I got a new one, recover hidden in my domain and raise the child as you originally intended. I am no mother, but he won't lack love" She'd explain, throwing the empty bottle into the God's hands and widening the opening to see the baby's face.
Crimson eyes locked onto crimson eyes.
"Name?"
"Bell, Bell Cranel"
/0/
The Goddess would be visited by others in time, in search for the one that caused much strife and she'd turn them back.
A contract, she was bound,
To a child, who shared her eyes,
And perhaps one, that would serve as her future guide.
So, she raised the boy.
From his first words,
To his first steps,
To the first time he ran.
From tiny hands that barely grasped her fingers,
To chubby fingers that clutched her locks in his restless sleep.
To the young hands that learned how to cook her favorite meals.
And in time, the cold-hearted goddess that only blessed those who paid the due sacrifice learned of what the man born of dirt so much desired.
But as her primordial grandmother once warned her, those who straddled the boundaries could not afford to hold such emotions.
For the white-haired, crimson eyed child that ran towards her, calling out her name with a smile on his face would eventually pass on.
And the Hell would learn,
And the Earth would learn,
And the Heavens would learn.
To what extents the Goddess of Crossroads was willing to bend the boundaries set by Chaos,
All to never mourn the child she'd scoop up and embrace like the mother he lost.

Author Words: I want to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone in the Danmachi fandom who gave my fanfiction a chance, I'll do my best to live up to your expectations and raise above them! I know there will come a time where you'll disagree with some points of this story, or feel as if they're out of place all together, and I'd like to ask you to voice your concerns when the time comes so I can grow too as a writer, and change for the better.
This story is a piece of fiction born from a 'dream' I had, the dream has been written down after one great supporter who's been reading this story from the start requested an Omake about Hekate's time at the village, and I took the chance to write along with that Omake what gave birth to this story o'mine.
There's many things in store for this story and I hope you all will accompany in this journey in this new year we'll all be, hopefully, celebrating.
I wish you all a happy new year, for blessings to accompany you throughout this long, yet short, journey we all call life.

Reviews:
Tenjo: I have this headcanon in my head that Freya saw Bell's soul before he arrived at Orario and used her influence to make everyone reject a certain "white-haired crimson eyed" boy who came knocking into their doors, this does not happen in my story and I'll expand upon it when the time comes.
NamelessCan: I sincerely thank you for letting me know there are readers who use the TTS, otherwise I would've continued the description in all chapters and so forth. I've decided to keep the author note, the disclaimer at the top so there's less dead space at the start of the story and move all the reviews/long author notes at the bottom so there's less dead space and stop using the story description after chapter 5 in all my future stories. Thank you, again!
Wally991: Sadly, you went about it the same way Bell thought about his skill. Luck merely gets him into compromising situations that can, and will eventually, act against him. There's more that will come with it but that's for later. As for Willpower, it is not strong enough yet for him to 'brainwash' people, it only makes those who have feelings towards him more honest, both male and female. It's why he has an easy time getting bargains/discounts/etc. As for the cervical penetration and inflation stuff, well yes but this is a fanfiction where imagination should not be tied down. If that were the case, might as well take out all the magic, blessings, etc that also, technically, don't exist in real life no?
I'm glad all of you enjoyed how Bell's Luck keeps getting him into situations that are both hilarious and dangerous to his well being, there are a lot more in store and all the characters will eventually have Luck befall upon them, let's hope my imagination keeps blessing us with even more entertaining situations!
