Inside a small office of the former Director of Project Cadmus, Amanda Waller was filing some paperwork at her desk. It wasn't exactly what she'd expected but it's better than being in a prison cell for the rest of her natural life.

The word was out. The powers that be had enough. They had enough. How much were they willing to take? Knowing that the higher ups would want to make someone example to look good in front of the press, she immediately used her connections to avoid jail time with the condition she wasn't allowed to be involved in any future military projects or she would never see the light of day ever again. Her colleagues weren't as lucky. Professor Hamilton was arrested a day after Luthor was brought into custody and was sentenced to life without parole for his illegal cloning experiments and the cover up of Dr. Gilbert Halstrom's murder, thanks to a former Cadmus's employee and Galatea was placed inside a red sun generated cell at Stryker's. Hamilton was genuinely surprised as he was given assurance that the hour before Cadmus was disbanded that he was not to be charged. And so was she. General Elling was in custody pending his trial after the attack he made at the Justice League Parade in Metropolis among other things while the scientists were trying to reverse enginer the Nazi Super Serum Elling stole prior to the parade. He was captured sometime after Darkseid's attack and in that time He was stripped of his titles and rank as a general. That fool. Couldn't he have heed her warning?

Now Waller was a woman of convictions who would rarely admit she was wrong but looking back at her time as director of Cadmus, she had one thought. What the heck were they thinking? Now Keeping in mind, they had the right intentions, given some metahumans that were dangerous when Cadmus was formed and the fear of the Justice League going rogue but the methods they used and the hypocritical lies they would use to justify themselves. No, it wasn't the Justice League that were the enemies. Cadmus were. It was a bittersweet truth she had to come to terms with in the wake of Lex Luthor's imprisonment.

Speaking of Luthor, how could she not have seen it? She should've known he would have ulterior motives. But what that's what happens when you're so focused on your supposed enemies that you forget that those closest to you poses an even greater threat.

With a resigned sigh, She continued to file in paper work as she came to a conclusion: Whatever happens in the afterlife when she passes, whatever punishment she may receive for her sins. She deserves it.
