Gabriel sat quietly as Mrs. Caron's patiently waited for him to open up.

"Mr. Agrest, I know this is going to be hard for you to re-live. But, if you want to start fixing thing's with Adrien, you are going to have to talk to me. I promise this is not a judgmental place. I am here to help, that is my job. No matter how bad you think you messed up, it's my job to help you through these issues not judge you." Mrs. Caron said.

Gabriel sighed, "A couple of days after Emile "my wife" went missing, Adrien came into my office to speak with me. And I was just having a bad day, and I said something to him, that I don't think I will ever be able to forgive myself for."

"I know you feel that way right now, but why don't you tell me about that?" Mrs. Caron asked.

Flashback...

Gabriel stood at his computer, designing a new purse. When the door to his office opened. He looked up and saw it was his son who had entered. Gabriel scowled, Adrien had not knocked.

"Father, I-"

"You know better then to come in without knocking! You know how busy I am!" Gabriel snapped.

"Oh s-sorry, f-father. Um, I-I just needed to ask you a question." Adrien replied.

Gabriel sighed, "What? It better be important!"

"Um, I-I was just wondering if you had heard anything about m-marmee?" Adrien asked.

Gabriel glared at his son, causing Adrien to buckle under the glare.

"You came in here to bug me about that?! I don't know what is going on with your dame mother!" Gabriel snapped.

"O-Oh, I j-just wanted to know if there had been any updates." Adrien replied.

"There hasn't been! And you bugging me every 2 minutes isn't going to change that!" Gabriel snapped.

"I-I'm s-sorry, father." Adrien muttered out.

"Hmph, right, you don't even care about your mother!" Gabriel snapped.

"W-What are you saying father?" Adrien asked.

"You heard me, boy! You're mother probably ran away because she was tired of dealing with you! And who could blame her! And now I'm stuck here having to take care of you! So, thanks a lot! If you were really sorry, you would get the hell out of my life! And then maybe your mother would come back, because then she wouldn't have to put up with you any longer! And we could go back to the life we once had before you came along and ruined everything!" Gabriel roared.

Adrien was crushed, he was already sad that his mother had vanished without a trace. And now he felt like it was his fault. Adrien ran out of his father's office, tears covering his face.

"Finally, go cry to someone who actually cares." Gabriel mumbled to himself, as he returned to his work.

End of flashback.

Gabriel had his face buried in his hands, unable to look at Mrs. Caron, feeling so ashamed about that memory and that it had ever happened. He was not a stupid man, so it was pretty clear why Adrien would be angry with him.

Gabriel finally heard Mrs. Caron sigh,

"Mr. Agrest, I know that was a painful memory to relive, I know you probably did not mean what you said to Adrien that day. But, I have to ask, is it becoming more clear now why Adrien is angry at you? How do you think he feels when he looks back on that day?"

"Horrible, crushed, like he was the one at fault for his mothers disappearance, even though he had nothing to do with it. I should of never said that to him. I wasn't in the right head space. And I lashed out of him. But, that's no excuse and I don't blame him if you won't ever be able to forgive me." Gabriel replied.

Mrs. Caron sighed, "Well, you and Adrien have a lot to work through, that is for sure. But, hopefully we will be able to get you two, to a place where eventually you will be able to talk with one another and express to each other how you feel now, without fighting. But, it's going to be a lot of hard work."

"I'll do whatever it takes to fix what I screwed up with my son." Gabriel replied.

"And that's all I need to hear, this won't be easy Mr. Agrest, but it will be worth it in the end."

Yeah, not I great ending. I am so sorry for how long I've been gone. There has been so much going on, that I can't even name it all. But, I am back to work on this story and hopefully others in the future. So, thank you all who continued to support this story, even
