So, I should probably explain something before you continue reading... (note this is Copy & Pasted from my other story NC because I suck at writing serious paragraphs)

I just wanted to share some stuff about the cyber bully stuff from earlier (you know, the stuff I talked about in my chapter of AGitP:R and on a review of arrowchristian's story "I'm Here for the Green Ones"). Well it turns out the guy is a total buttface. Aka, dude's bluffing with his threats and doesn't even read the stories he criticizes. Me and arrowchristian are trying to raise awareness about the situation, as many others have fallen victim to the bully's threats. If there is anyone out there who has been verbally attacked by Abandoned 001, feel free to reach out to me if you want. Anyway, that's all for now, stay safe everyone!

Also since I didn't respond to reviews last time, I'm gonna make up for that today.

Review Replies (Chapter 7):

arrowchristian: XD. Thank you. I was trying to think of a way to actually get some action in the fic, and honestly that was one of the most creative thoughts I've had in a while lol.

Maddidamighty: Thank you! :D

Review Replies (Chapter 8):

Guest: Thank you! Y'all are amazing!

arrowchristian: Yeah, thank you again for the prayers & help! And yeah, but don't worry, it doesn't mean the ninja are gonna get lazy. They haven't lost hope yet!

Thank y'all again for the encouragement and kind words. Now finally, here is the actual fic lol.

That night the ninja were actually able to lay out a bed of sorts for Lloyd in a spare room next to Wu's. However it didn't matter because Lloyd couldn't sleep all night. He couldn't stop thinking about how much he missed actually having the ninja as friends, instead of offensive, prickly hosts. He couldn't stop thinking about how he was just an annoying guest to Kai, and not a brother. And he couldn't stop thinking about everything he would have to relive in these next couple of days.

He awoke early that morning, but clearly early wasn't early enough for Sensei Wu. He came past Lloyd's room banging a large gong over and over again. Once he was sure he had thoroughly awoken the Green Ninja he left, still banging the gong as he went. Lloyd got up from the floor-bound arrangement the ninja made for him in the absence of a bed, stretching. Then he opened the door to his room, sneaking out to follow Wu.

He found his uncle annoying the ninja in their shared bedroom, banging the gong and yelling "Evil doesn't sleep, and neither should you!" A large, simultaneous groan echoed through the room as the ninja rustled around in their beds.

Either they didn't get much sleep like me, or they're just lazy.

"In order to reach your full potential, we must greet every day as an opportunity," Wu declared, banging the gong again for good measure.

"Okay, okay. We're up," Kai sighed, getting out of bed with a bedraggled look on his face. "But if you want us to reach our full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night of rest?"

You'll get used to it, Kai.

"You call that rest? I think my back has more lumps than the mattress," Cole complained, stretching his back as he stood up.

"We were up so late, talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters… I guess we lost track of time," Jay mumbled, stumbling over to the half-bath part of the room and getting his toothbrush out.

"Since the serpentine burned down our monastery, I'm just glad that we have a roof over our head—" Jay continued, but as he turned the knob on the sink, the faucet sprayed dirt and sand onto his toothbrush, and he unknowingly put it in his mouth. With a dry, disturbed cough, Jay rubbed off his tongue, trying to get the dirt off. Lloyd silently chuckled in the doorway.

"What is our lesson today, Sensei?" Zane asked, pulling several moves as Jay squirmed around, still trying to clean his mouth. "Mastering the strike of the scorpion? Or perhaps the grace of—"

Suddenly Zane fell through the floor, and everyone turned towards him, shocked.

"I think today's lesson will be chores," Wu stated, looking around at the dusty room.

"Chores!?" the ninja gasped, shocked and betrayed.

"Ninja fight, Sensei. They don't clean," Cole explained, crossing his arms.

"In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a ninja headquarters. I expect things to be spotless when I return. And put your backs into it," Wu demanded, baning his gong once again before leaving the room, nearly bumping into Lloyd as he did so. "You can join them too, Monty."

"Yes, Sensei," Lloyd complied, bowing as Wu walked off. Lloyd caught Kai rolling his eyes at the Green Ninja as he turned, but the master of fire acted as if he hadn't, so Lloyd didn't say anything. After all, a simple eye roll wasn't gonna do any harm.

"This place is gonna take forever to clean and fix up!" Kai complained, throwing his arms in the air in frustration.

"Unless we put more than our backs into it," Jay suggested, finally ridding his mouth of the dirt from earlier. The group looked at each other, grinning, as if reading each other's minds. Then they suddenly turned to face the doorway before sprinting full speed towards Lloyd. The Green Ninja frantically jumped out of the way of the wild charging ninja just in the nick of time, the energized group splitting up after passing the startled guest.

I was not expecting that…

Lloyd chased after the ninja, discovering that they were using the golden weapons to clean the Bounty: Zane and Kai were combining their powers to wash one of the vacant rooms, Cole using Spinjitzu to clean up trash, and Jay disappearing to head off to the bridge. Lloyd looked around, curious how he could help.

Lloyd started by joining Jay at the bridge. At first the lightning ninja didn't notice him enter, at least until he jumped a whole foot after discovering Lloyd looming right behind him.

"Yeesh! Oh jeez, you should really announce your presence if you're gonna be lurking like that…" Jay chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head as he awkwardly sidestepped away from Lloyd.

"Sorry. I guess not all things are the same as they once were…" Lloyd muttered, most likely confusing the master of lightning. However instead of explaining Lloyd merely looked around the bridge before turning back to face Jay. "Anything you need help with?"

"Uhh… do you have any experience with engineering?" Jay asked, and Lloyd shrugged.

"I know enough to follow along," Lloyd admitted, and Jay led him over to the spot where the controls used to be… or were supposed to be? Even Lloyd didn't know at this point.

"Don't tell anyone, but I'm thinking this thing doesn't only have to sail, what if it-" Jay began, but Lloyd knew where this was going.

"Flew?" Lloyd guessed.

Does it even count as guessing if you already know the answer?

That's a ridiculous question.

"Exactly! How'd you- oh, I see," Jay nodded, sudden realization hitting him as he grabbed a wrench out of his nearby toolbox and passed it to Lloyd. "Do you mind helping set up the engine connection below deck while I work up here on the control panel?"

"I don't mind at all! I'll see you in a bit then!" Lloyd agreed, snatching up an additional hammer before leaving below deck. The Green Ninja spun through many rooms aimlessly before finding the appropriate room for the engine.

At least, the one the ninja chose to put it in. Who knows if it's the appropriate place for an engine. Ships aren't meant to fly anyway.

There were already a couple scrapped engines down there, along with a few spare pieces of metal to work with. Lloyd gently set his tools down on the floor before pulling the biggest of the engines away from the wall of the room, allowing him to do a three-sixty inspection of the current hunk of junk. Nearly all of the rubber grommets were worn down, the intake manifold seemed dented and the entire oil pan was busted, with holes and bumps spotting the metal surface. Lloyd sighed in anguish, wondering where Jay even found the engine in the first place.

Hmm, how should I go about fixing this?

There were several footsteps trailing outside the room Lloyd stood in, but the Green Ninja ignored them. It was probably just the ninja doing further chores.

"Monty?" Kai's voice echoed through the nearly empty room, and Lloyd hesitated before turning around.

I almost forgot that I go by Monty… I'm gonna have to get used to that.

"Whatcha need?" Lloyd asked, and he instantly recognized the look on Kai's face: Anger and frustration.

"It looks like you need help. You've been sitting there for about three minutes just staring at the engine," Kai explained, walking into the room and inspecting the engine himself.

I'm just gonna ignore the tone he gave me…

"I don't need help, but thanks for offering," Lloyd stated, grabbing the hammer and a scrap piece of metal as he approached the engine.

"I wasn't offering. I'm telling you I've got this," Kai claimed, then raising his hand continued, "Plus, this clearly needs welding to fix, and you don't have the element of fire. I do."

Lloyd prompted no response. He just stood there with the materials in his hands, glaring at Kai.

"You didn't even give me a chance," Lloyd snarled, dropping the metal scrap and hammer at Kai's feet, narrowly missing the fire ninja's toes. "But there you go. Enjoy the increased labor on your part."

Lloyd didn't look back after storming out of the room.

Why does he think that he needs to take over my job? I don't get it.

Only a couple seconds after leaving the engine room Lloyd bumped into Jay. The lightning ninja looked startled and confused at the same time, but the shock quickly faded from his face as he realized who he crashed into.

"Monty? What are you doing here? I thought you were-" Jay started, but Lloyd interrupted the lightning master's train of thought.

"Kai insisted that he would do it," Lloyd explained simply, walking past Jay and leaving the blue ninja in a bewildered silence. Soon Jay caught up with Lloyd however, his eyebrows still raised.

"But… why?" Jay asked, and Lloyd shrugged.

"I can only assume he doesn't trust me, or something similar," Lloyd guessed, and Jay sighed.

"Kai is very protective…" Jay muttered. "Well, you probably already know that."

"That I do," Lloyd admitted, stopping in front of the new game room, where Zane and Cole sat playing Fist to Face II.

"There you guys are! We've been waiting for you," Cole grinned, raising his voice so he could be heard over the loud game music.

"Where's Kai?" Zane asked, pausing the game.

"He wanted to take care of the engine. I just hope he doesn't screw it up," Jay joked, sitting down with his friends. "Monty, do you want to join us in a game?"

"I'm good for now. I'll just watch," Lloyd stated, sitting down in the corner of the small room.

"Awww, why not? Are you afraid of losing?" Cole teased, and Lloyd sat back up, laughing.

"You're on now!"

Hmm... I'm trying very hard to not stick with the original script as much, but I'm also trying to not fling everything in an entirly different direction... anyway, I hope y'all enjoyed! Please leave a review, and I'll post another chapter on Monday!
