Sometime after honey left the bridge, Vanellope entered and sat next to Kevin.
"So you found the dragon?" Vanellope asked
"Yes mom, it's in that city 50 miles from here. That city with the npc's who hate us for supporting the transformers" said Kevin
"Rotten traitors they are. But if that city is where the thieves are, I wonder why they want Lucy?" Vanellope asked
"They know she's smart and can be bribed. Hope she's ok. I also hope she comes home when this is all done" said Kevin
"Of course she-
"Lucy hates living here mom, we all know that. What's stopping her from leaving? I mean you abandoned your home" Kevin pointed out
"To follow my dream" Vanellope pointed out
"In a game that got delisted a year and a half later. A game where you clearly stuck out and didn't exactly fit in. Auntie shank has 10 fingers mom, we only have 8" said Kevin
"Since when do you care how many fingers we have?" Vanellope asked
"I don't, but Lucy does, she finds it weird. What I'm trying to say is if you could abandon your game what's stopping lucy from doing the same? I can't run her galaxy without her" said Kevin
Vanellope was at a loss for words. Suddenly a light began blinking on the computer console.
"Incoming transmission from queen bees starfighter" said a droid
"Put it through" said Vanellope
Video of honey from her x wing fighter appeared on a screen. She now had her hair in a low ponytail and wore a green coat.
"Look, I know I had to put on some kind of different outfit, but you could've chose something more fashionable" said Honey
"You were already wearing a trench coat when you came in, we simply gave you a different colored one" said Kevin
"My coat was pretty, this one's ugly and missing some buttons. I mean come on, green?" Honey asked
"You don't like green?" Vanellope asked "I'll have you know that was my coat before I gave it to you. Granted I was planning to get rid of it, but you'll be the last person to wear it"
"Green makes me want to vomit, it's ugly. If I wanted to wear green I would've joined the secops. And it doesn't even match my boots. An ugly green coat with brown boots?" Honey asked
"You're supposed to be incognito, your black and yellow clothes make you stand out, makes you too recognizable. And don't forget you agreed to this" said Vanellope
"I want you guys to forgive me but-
"Miss honey, just get your butt over there, find proof of the stolen stuff and find my sister. Do it or don't even bother coming back" Kevin shouted before hanging up
"Feisty, I like that" said Vanellope
"I take after you mom, it's in my code" said Kevin "Besides, I lost my toy store and arcade because of her, she owes us this"
In her ship, honey rolled her eyes and put her helmet on as she started her ship. Her bee friends peeked out of her purse
"It's only for a couple hours honey" said bumble
"I hate green. I like my black coat better" said Honey
"Your eyes are green" buzz pointed out
"It's a beautiful shade of green, this isn't" said Honey
"Remember why you're doing this, you want them to forgive you" said Stinger
"Yeah yeah. I know. They don't have to act like rotten brats though. I didn't tell them to start a war with the empire"
Honey took off from litwak city and within half an hour, made it to her destination. After finding a safe spot to land, she continued on foot. From a distance the dragons looked huge, she didn't want to think about what they looked like up close. Before her eyes, she saw another materialize before her eyes. It seemed the citizens were duplicating code to make multiples. As she walked, she noticed imperial military walkers on test walks, with the occasional one being duplicated.
But what made honey a little nervous was everyone in the city was an npc, no unique game characters whatsoever. As honey grabbed her pictures, she bumped into a little girl with expensive shopping bags, and a yellow Pegasus.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to, Lucy? Fluttershy? Is that you?" Honey asked
"Miss honey? What're you doing here?" Lucy asked
"Miss honey, glad to see you. Let me guess you need me to look at your bees? I'd be happy to. It's almost time for their monthly checkup anyway. Are they around? I really need to talk to them, privately" said fluttershy
Honey unzipped her purse and let her bees out. As fluttershy took them away somewhere private, honey turned to Lucy.
"It's good to see you, Lucy. I've come to find you, your parents and brother are so worried" said Honey
"There's been a big misunderstanding. Yes I was kidnapped, but I was also hired. These people simply want my help getting their own defenses to protect themselves. Nothing more. They even offered to pay back the stolen stuff. And best of all they want to make me their queen" said Lucy "They're letting me go shopping, I haven't gone shopping in 2 months. Look at my new purse"
Lucy showed off a purse she was wearing, it was black and resembled her brown one back home.
"It's a nice purse. But you're already a queen" said Honey
"Yeah, I'm nutjob lucy back home. The queen of the idiot droid army, the queen who tried to kill cute little ponies. The queen who's only good for Coldplay remixes. Do you know how sick I am of that Coldplay song?" Lucy asked
"What Coldplay song?" Honey asked
"Of course you don't know what I'm talking about. At least here I'm treated with respect. I'm happy. I don't want to go home. Home doesn't feel like home" said Lucy
"Lucy, don't say that" said Honey
"It's true. All my life that city has brought me nothing but misery. Why do you think I built a kingdom in space, to get away from that horrible city" said Lucy
"But your friends, your family-
"Oh please, the kids at school won't miss me, mocho and Reese have practically their own lives without me now. And my family would want me to be happy. My mom abandoned her game to follow her dream"
"Wait what?" Honey asked confused
"Oops, forget I said that, not important. Point is I'm not going home. Here, these people want me. They need me. For the first time in forever I'm not miserable." Said Lucy
"What about fluttershy? She was kidnapped too wasnt she?" Honey asked
"Shes been great at getting me to want to stay. In exchange these people are giving her money to save her animal sanctuary on equestria from sienar. I can't help her, but these people can, I've already seen how much they're paying her" said Lucy
Honey looked down, a little sad at Lucy's decision.
"Miss honey, your life is so perfect, mines not. I'm an embarrassment to the internet. Deep down I know you want me to stay, and be happy" said Lucy
"But your brother-
"Kevin can take care of himself. People already like him. I know he'll do great" said Lucy
"Ok. But if you're really gonna stay, Kevin had something he wanted to give you"
Honey reached into her purse and pulled out Lucy's heart necklace, putting it around Lucy's neck.
"I got called very 2000's for wearing this. Is it my fault I like teen movies from those days? I thought this was so pretty, but no one cared til you started wearing one. But tell Kevin thanks, and tell my family I'll be fine. If my mom could handle herself then so can I" said Lucy
Honey kneeled down and hugged Lucy goodbye as her bees rushed into her purse. Honey shed a couple tears before turning away to go home. The 2 said goodbye before going their separate ways.
"Lucy won't admit it, but I'm gonna miss her, she was my best customer. One of my first friends in litwak city even. Guys I know I was supposed to find her, but what am I gonna tell-
"Honey, get to the ship, quickly, we'll explain there what's happening" buzz told her from in honeys purse
Honey was confused, but hurried back to her ship. After closing the cockpit canopy, her bees flew out of honey's purse and sat on the dashboard.
"We need to warn the royals, fluttershy says Lucy's in danger" said Bumble
"Danger?" Honey asked
"The people here are using her. They're going to destroy litwak city with those dragons, maybe kaon and iacon. Once they're done with Lucy, fluttershy says they're gonna give her to the wolfenstein nazis, let them burn her alive" bumble cried
"Fluttershy can't warn her, the thieves are watching what she says to Lucy. We already told zeke and the police department, but we must get home now. The invasion on our home will be by the end of the week" said Stinger
Honey quickly took off and back to the city, reporting her finds to Vanellope. The media got a hold of the police reports and the citizens were in panic.
Later that day in the castle dining room, Quaritch was discussing things with the royals with sunny and another soldier at his side
"Our defenses have been repaired thanks to a Mr fix it Felix jr. By morning we can launch an attack to save your daughter and wipe out this threat. Based on the images shown on the city news, and the reactions I'm hearing, the citizens fully support an invasion of this other city" said Quaritch
"I for one think we should try more peaceful matters" said sunny
Everyone looked at her
"Why is she here?" Ralph asked
"She's been helping me rehabilitate after the base destruction. She's oddly good at that, but doesn't support my plans" said Quaritch
"I joined the secops wanting to protect others yes, but I don't want to attack and kill innocent people. Can't we just talk things out with this other city and ask for Lucy back?" Sunny asked hopefully
"That's a great idea, cupcake. Why don't you head back to the base, go to your quarters, and PACK YOUR BAGS! BECAUSE YOUR FREAKIN CAREER WITH ME IS FREAKIN OVER!"
Quaritch picked up sunny and threw her through a window.
"I can pay for that. As much as I want to do this peacefully, with the multiple dragons, this other city is amassing for an attack. With the current droid forces on planet and with our firepower, at the rate they're copying code to make more vehicles they will overrun our city in 3 days time, well that's not gonna happen on my watch. And if what miss Potts says is true, I don't see them stopping at us. If they gain control of the transformers tech and control the spaceport, I see them conquering planets one by one til all our governments fall. With your permission-
"Permission granted. Ready an attack, we'll prepare droid forces to attack. We launch tomorrow morning" said Vanellope "Don't damage the t cogs and bring my daughter home safely, that's priority number 1"
