That night, Vanellope and Ralph walked through the airfield of hell's gate with colonel Quaritch, inspecting the attack force preparing for the invasion.
"Everything is being prepped your majesties, by morning we'll be ready, Lt. Sanders, I want our best cannon cockers on the ground in suits" Quaritch told a soldier readying an Amp suit
"Yes sir"
"Any chance I can use one of those?" Vanellope asked
"I don't know-
"My daughters life is at stake" said Vanellope "And I can drive just about anything"
"Well, I guess we can get you used to the controls" said Quaritch
Quaritch allowed Vanellope to climb into one while he and Ralph continued their walk.
"As you can see, king Ralph, we have-
"No, NO NO NO"
"I wouldn't do that sir"
"Aw crap, him" Quaritch quietly mumbled
Ralph and Quaritch looked towards a man in business casual attire who was a moment ago pounding against a missile.
"Explosives and blasting compounds go back into storage, what's your name?"
"Logan"
"YOU'RE FIRED!"
The man approached Ralph and Quaritch.
"This entire thing is completely out of control, and I'm not authorizing you to lead the entire defense team on some freaking suicide mission"
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Ralph asked
"Steve Parker, head of RDA operations out here"
"RDA?" Ralph asked
"Resources development administration, we're the company responsible for getting food to your dumb city" said Steve
"Dumb city?" Ralph angrily asked
"I've declared threat condition red, that puts all assets under my command, with the royals helping out of course" said Quaritch
"Oh you think you can pull this palace coup crap on me? I can have your ass fired with one phone call" Steve angrily told them "And you king Ralph, using our forces for some crazy rescue invasion is not what these guys are here for. You already have a dumb army, go use them"
Ralph and Quaritch attempted to reach for him in anger, but Vanellope beat them to it. She pulled a knife out of the suit and held it up to Steve.
"My daughter's life is at stake, the future of this city is at stake. Don't tell my family what we can and can't do" Vanellope threatened
She put the knife back in its holder and dropped Steve.
"Escort this man from the area" Quaritch ordered some soldiers
"Don't touch me, you're all so fired" said Steve as he left
Ralph looked at Vanellope in the suit. He personally never had been up close to one, and the suit was at least several feet taller than him.
"Wow kid, you're now taller than me in that thing. How does it feel?" Ralph asked
"I feel strong in this. And it's not that hard to control" said Vanellope
"You see Ralph, while she controls the legs with pedals, all her movements with her arms are registered by the suit, doing what she does. She can even feel when she picks up something" said Quaritch
Vanellope gave a few punches in the air before putting her hands on her hips, the suit copying all her movements.
"I could get used to this" said Vanellope "Like to see the queen bee take on this thing"
"I don't intend to" Honey pointed out as she wheeled several crates of snacks
"Don't tell me you called that loser to shut this down" said Vanellope
"Nope. Believe it or not I support this invasion" said Honey
"You do?" Ralph asked
Honey rubbed her pregnant belly.
"I'm due in a couple months give or take, and I don't need my baby growing up in a crater. You go to that city and kick their butts to hell" honey told them before continuing on towards the base
(Back in free city, Lucy's apartment)
Lucy sat in her apartment sharing a dinner with fluttershy. She was happy.
"Todays been great, fluttershy. This city's really gonna be protected from outside threats. And when I'm queen I'll pay back all the stolen goods no problem, but shame I don't know what happened to those t cogs" said Lucy
"Must you eat meat? You know how I am with animals" fluttershy pointed out
"I'm human. So I like to eat burgers, so what? You've barely touched your salad, thought you liked them" said Lucy
"Well… you see…"
"I get it, not that hungry, it's been a long day after all. I must say I like my new earrings, beats the cherry ones I wore before" said Lucy as she showed off her new hoop earrings
"They're nice, but, um…"
"You don't like them do you? Well I do. They remind me of my auntie shank, she's tough and cool and most people in district 1 like her" said Lucy
"That's not what I'm trying to say. Lucy, there's, um, how do I put this"
"You wanna go home, I get it. I need to talk to these guys about making me queen and my living arrangements, I only want the best of-
Fluttershy rolled her eyes and stood up.
"LUCY! WILL YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME FOR A SECOND!" She shouted, scaring Lucy
"Ok" Lucy whimpered
"Lucy, I can't do this anymore. I really do care for you, and I can't keep living this lie. This city, these thieves, they're only using you. They don't even like you" said Fluttershy
"What?" Lucy asked surprised
"They're going to destroy everything we love. I don't even care what they're going to do to me for telling you this, I've served my purpose. It's not too late for you. You must-
The door was busted open, and the men in black came in.
"You both know too much now"
The 2 were blindfolded and taken somewhere, finding themselves in a cell which Lucy couldn't glitch out of.
"Glitchproof, no getting out of here. And while you're here"
The guards took Lucy's earrings off of her ears, much to her dismay.
"You didn't think we were gonna let you keep your new stuff, did you? We have a new task for you Lucy, find out how this t cog works, and we'll let you live"
The guards threw a transformer t cog into the cell.
"I don't know how these work. I don't care much about the transformers to know their biology" said Lucy
"You better figure it out, otherwise by tomorrow afternoon, you'll be in a crate being sent to wolfenstein. You'll both be dead by nightfall tomorrow night, and nobody will miss you both"
