Huh, I actually got this out slightly earlier than intended. That's always good! Anyway, the current picture change is actually art of Yuji himself, Though I should mention that it's temporary, and I intend on getting a far better fitting one later on. If you ever want some good art yourself look up hiomaika on twitter, they make some seriously good art.
It'd been about a week since Yuji's duel with Yagyu and things were well...still kind of dicey between the two. Yagyu had kept her distance from him still and Yuji had tried to make amends, going so far as to even bring her some of the best sweets that Taro's mom had made, but it didn't do much in winning her over. However, she had shared them with Hibari who was ecstatic causing Yagyu's mood to soften a bit. During training, all of the girls were a bit hesitant to spar against him and this extended to the cadets who(thanks to Katsuragi) had learned about his Wind Ripper technique. As such, when the two groups got together for a joint training session, he'd managed to defeat Hijikata, not because he'd overpowered her, but more because she was way more defensive, trying to block his attacks with her hammer more than attacking him back, which ultimately led to her defeat.
Still that wasn't the big thing that had happened to Yuji. No, the real important thing is that he, Katsuragi, and Asuka had been selected to go on a mission. Nothing too crazy, just sneaking into a corrupt government official's office and taking some incriminating evidence back to the proper parties to make sure that the proper punishment is doled out. Needless to say that Yuji was excited at the prospect of going on his first real ninja mission. There was just one little snag though…
He had to get his Shinobi transformation down before the mission date or he'd be officially barred from participating in it.
The revelation of that from Kiriya had hit Yuji like a brick, as that was the part of his training he was still struggling on. Even the cadets had already gotten it down, so in that regard Yuji was lacking far behind.
The concern on his face must have been clear, because after school that day, Asuka had offered to help him out. Mentioning that she had a bit of a hard time herself with initiating a transformation, and so she'd figured she'd help things along as best she can. And so the two of them were now at the gym after hours. There would be no other students here at this hour, so they didn't have to worry about anyone walking in on them. They'd already been at it for at least 2 hours at this point with Yuji still not having made much progress.
"Alright Yuji, you can do it. Just...well, Kiriya-sensei always says focus on your ideal of what it means to be a Ninja…try that again I guess?" Asuka said, really she had no idea how to go about it, but Yuji was a teammate and she wanted to at least try to help, even in some small way.
"Yeah, but well...I guess I just don't get it?" Yuji shrugged "I mean, I always picture the usual ninja you'd see on tv or in a video game or something, but that's not working."
"I...don't think that's what he means." Asuka sighed "Try this instead: What to you is a ninja meant to represent? For me personally, we're silent protectors. People who put our lives on the lines from the shadows. It's a thankless job, but it's definitely one worth doing."
That caused Yuji to pause and think. He'd really been thinking of only the more sensationalized version of ninja. Just as he'd said, he'd focused on movies or video games, but that wasn't right was it? No it wasn't. This was the real deal. These were real people putting their lives on the line to keep the common man safe from whatever dangers lurked out there from evil shinobi. This once again brought him back to a game he'd played recently called SoulSworn. In that game you were a silent hero, you didn't talk at all, and story was minimal, but your deeds and actions rung throughout denizens of the world and the hero never really asked for thanks similar to what Asuka described. Sure you obtained weapons and the like, but it wasn't like the player character really demanded something in return. In many cases the protagonist was heard of, but never really seen all that much.
"Yeah...yeah I'd like to be something like that." Yuji muttered to himself as he smiled "I can see it now…"
"Y-Yuji!" Asuka exclaimed "That's it...that's it, keep it up!"
Yuji didn't respond, too deep was he in his own thoughts. "Yeah, I could do that...and be all cool...oh and that too!"
He continued on like this for a few minutes before Asuka began shaking him. "Yuji, look you did it!"
"Huh? Did what?" Yuji asked
"Look at your clothes!"
Yuji did as told looking down at his clothing. It was a completely black leather outfit, with a holster that held his gun in place as well as several pouches filled with bullets. His broadsword was on his back, he had a hat on his head that if he tilted it down even a bit would completely hide his face from the enemy. The most striking thing is that the outfit felt durable, even more than normal. It was a perfect fit for Yuji, not slowing him down or hindering his movement in any way at all. He flexed his arms a bit, afterwards giving his legs a shake. In some ways it felt like Yuji wasn't wearing anything at all.
"I-I did it!" Yuji said pumping his fist "Asuka, I did it!" without thinking, he swept Asuka up in a hug, causing the girl let out a squeal of surprise.
"Oh uh...sorry." Yuji said letting her down
"It's fine, what's important is that you can transform! Now...take this scroll and funnel your power into it while writing the word transform."
Taking the scroll from Asuka, Yuji did as told, pushing his power into the scroll as he quickly wrote out the word transform. The instant he finished, the outfit he'd been wearing disappeared, leaving him in his school uniform.
"Can't believe it, I'm one step closer to being a real shinobi, and my outfit is friggin' cool too!" Yuji exclaimed
"Teehee, I'll say, but now that you can transform...it's time for one more bit of training."
"What's that?" Yuji asked
Instead of answering him, Asuka brought both of her index fingers and thumbs together, whispering softly. "Shinobi Barrier."
What engulfed them was a weird kind of void space, there was a dark sky above them, and the gym had disappeared, leaving in them what looked to be a grassy field of sorts.
"Now come on Yuji, show me what you've got! Shinobi...Transformation"
Taking out a scroll(that she'd apparently kept hidden between her breasts) Asuka raised it in the air as she was enveloped by light, Yuji trying desperately to get a look at her body, but the light was too much, causing him to shield his eyes. When he looked at her, Asuka was now wearing a yellow blouse, with a plaid green skirt. Her two swords sheathed behind her waist and her red scarf on her next.
"Now, your turn Yuji," She said calmly
"Okay sure...but uh...question?"
"Yes?"
"So when you transform...do you always get naked?"
A small blush crept onto face as she closed her eyes, scowling at him "J-just focus and transform, do as I did!"
"R-right…". Yuji said taking out the scroll and raising it to the sky "Shinobi...Transformation!"
Like Asuka, Yuji was wrapped in a bright light, his clothes leaving his body and a singular strand of light obscuring his nether regions. Asuka couldn't help but stare, having become used to the light, but never seeing it done by a male shinobi. It was only when Yuji's body was covered with his shinobi outfit that he'd been wearing just a minute ago that Asuka looked away. Once it was done, Yuji flexed his arms again, letting out a whistle. "It really worked. Thanks for the help Asuka!" he exclaimed with a smile
"It was nothing. And uh...don't worry, I didn't look." Asuka lied hiding a blush
"Huh...so shinobi really do get naked when transforming. That is...interesting."
"There's an entire fighting style centered around it." Asuka sighed
"Wait seriously?!" Yuji gasped "You can't be serious!"
"There is and no, I'm not showing you, Kiriya-sensei can cover that with you at a later date. Now ready your weapon!"
With a nod, Yuji did so as Asuka did the same. The two took a moment to size the other up, a soft breeze blowing through the field they were standing in. The second the breeze came to a stop, the two of them dashed at each other, their blades clashing against one another. However, despite that, both of the young ninja had smiles plastered across their faces. Enjoying the fight as they continued to dodge, parry, and block each other's blows.
Asuka being the faster of the two managed to nick Yuji's side, causing the boy to wince in response.
"Teehee, you aren't bad. Pay attention to how torn your clothing gets. It'll protect you from most things, but the more of it that disappears, the more tired you'll be."
"So it's like a health bar?" Yuji said with a raised eyebrow
"I...huh...I guess that works as an explanation well enough." Asuka shrugged "Still, don't think of a real fight as a game, you're lucky this is a spar and nothing more!"
"As you say. Enough talk, now let's go!"
Wasting no time, Yuji took out his pistol and opened fire, Asuka easily deflecting the shots as if it were nothing.
"You'll have to do better than that Yuji-kun!"
Saying nothing, Yuji moved in closer, his mom had told him about a trick that used on many missions of her own. Now was the time to mimic it. He took another shot at Asuka, continuing to move closer as he did so to be able to hit her. Just as expected, Asuka dodged it.
He had her.
Brandishing his broadsword Yuji slashed at Asuka's chest, ripping her blouse slightly, enough that he could see a bit of her bra peeking through. The moment was savored by Yuji, but that had left him open to Asuka delivering a knee to his gut.
"Guh!" Yuji grunted falling to his feet, but rolling away quickly afterwards as Asuka brought her blades down to slash at him.
"You're pretty good." Yuji panted
"Not so bad yourself!" Asuka said panting as well
The two took stances again before charging at one another, clashing once more and attacking before pushing each other back.
"Get ready for this Yuji, I'll end it here!" Asuka exclaimed as he noticed a green energy engulfing her blades.
"C-crap!" Yuji muttered, she was going for some special move! He began to panic, unsure of what to do to counter such a move. He didn't have a move of his own!
"Wait I do! It's a long shot but…" Yuji murmured, channeling wind into his hand, it was hard, he could feel the wind trying to escape as he channeled it into his broadsword. He couldn't hold it forever and so as Asuka brought her blades into the ground causing a rocks to shoot from the ground and move towards Yuji, he in turn swung his blade in her direction.
"Earth Spire!" Asuka shouted
"Wind Ripper!" Yuji exclaimed
-000-
Kiriya was rubbing his temples as she stared down at the two nearly naked teenagers in front of him. Both of them having only just nearly enough clothing to keep them decent. Yuji's outfit was just about entirely gone save for his pants, and Asuka's top was completely destroyed, leaving her to hold her arms over her chest in an attempt to remain decent.
"So...let me get this straight, you two decided to have a sparring match after hours where your attacks collided causing a chain reaction that left you both like this?"
"Yes sir…" they mumbled in unison
Kiriya sighed. He'd felt a shinobi barrier within the school and so he rushed over to see what was going on. What he found was Yuji and Asuka both knocked out on the floor and basically naked. To anyone else, it'd have looked like a sexual encounter gone wrong, but Kiriya knew better and groaned.
"I should be angry, and normally I would be, but I'm willing to overlook this instance since you were helping a fellow classmate. Good job Asuka."
"T-thank you sensei!" Asuka said, relief clear in her voice
"That said, no unsupervised sparring matches. Especially against Yuji who is still fairly new to the shinobi lifestyle. That aside, judging from your explanation as to what happened, it seems Yuji has finally learned how to properly transform. Great job, I'll not ask what you did to help him progress so quickly, so long as he's making progress."
"Y-yes sir!" Asuka said again
"Now then, both of you get of here and get some clothes on and head home."
"Yes Kiriya-sensei!" The two said in unison, scurrying off to the changing rooms as Kiriya let out another sigh.
"Well, at least Ms. Egawa will be delighted at the news." he mumbled, heading out of the gym
-000-
After having changed into some gym clothes, Yuji and Asuka were walking home. The two were tired albeit happy. Mostly at Yuji's progress.
"I can't believe it, Asuka, I really transformed, I did it!" Yuji cheered
"Yeah you did...still, I wished you hadn't used that attack grandpa taught you." Asuka sighed "I thought you wouldn't use it any more."
"Sorry, I panicked, I saw you attacking and I just did the first thing that came to mind!"
"It's fine. Just don't forget next time? Please?"
"Y-yeah...I hope my mom doesn't find out." He sighed, the two continued chatting and walking until Yuji reached a fork in the road that lead to his home. Looking at the sky, he could see that the sun had already dipped below the horizon, and it would be completely dark soon. "Hey, it's getting late, why don't you stay at my place for the night?"
"H-huh?! What do you mean by that?!" Asuka spluttered "W-we can't do that!"
"Why not? Mom wouldn't mind and I'm sure she'd want to meet some of my friends from school. Come on it'll be great, we can get to school tomorrow and you can try my mom's cooking. You'll love it I promise. We can just call your parents and let them know where you are."
For a moment, Asuka looked like she would refuse, but after what appeared to be some sort of internal conflict she nodded in agreement.
"Okay, I...I guess it'll be fine." She said meekly, following behind him.
'What am I doing, why did I say yes?! We're a guy and a girl! W-will we share a room? I don't have any extra underwear, what if I do something stupid?'
All these thoughts and more ran through Asuka's head as the two made their way to Yuji's home. Once they reached the door, he turned to Asuka with a smile.
"Here we are, don't worry, I shot my mom a text and she was cool with it."
"O-oh! That's great, I should probably tell my mom that I'm staying over." Asuka replied "Just give me a second."
Taking out her phone, Asuka quickly found her mother's contact and began texting her.
"Hey mom, I'm staying over at friend's house. Don't wait up for me!(^^)b"
"Oh, staying over at Yagyu's place again?"
"Uh...no. It's um...actually Yuji. You know, the new guy I told you about?"
It was several long seconds before Asuka's mother replied again
"Dear. I trust you, so I'm not going to tell your father you're with a boy. Send me his address and I'll drop some clothes off for you tomorrow morning. As far as your father knows, you stayed at one of the girl's homes. And if he tries anything, let me know."
"Mom, Yuji isn't like that!
"I'm sure he isn't, but you're a cute girl and he's a young boy. I know a few people from my highschool days who weren't so lucky."
After a bit of back and forth, Asuka let out a sigh and put her phone away.
"Everything okay?" Yuji asked "You were making some real weird faces there."
"It's fine, my mom was just being weird." Asuka replied
"Heh, I know that feeling, anyway, let's head inside, I can already smell the food."
Opening the door, Yuji and Asuka stepped inside, Asuka feeling a bit nervous as she looked around.
'Come on Asuka it's just a house, it's no different from yours!'
"Hey mom, I'm home!" Yuji called out
"Welcome home Yuji, dinner is all ready so you and your friend can eat when you're ready and-"
She stopped speaking as she noticed Asuka standing in the doorway, who waved at her in greeted.
"Hello Ms. Egawa, I'm sorry to intrude like this, I'm Asuka and I hope you don't mind me staying over."
"Huh...o-oh of course not! Yuji, could you come with me, I need to talk to you about something. We'll be just a minute Asuka." Minako said with a fake smile, following behind her towards, the kitchen, Yuji was surprised to see his mother stare at him with angry look.
"Yuji, what the hell!" Minako whispered at him "You said you were bringing a friend from school!"
"I did! Asuka is a friend and she's from school. We were training together until it was late! I don't get what the big deal is?"
"The deal is you're a boy and she's a girl, I thought you meant Taro or Daisuke! You can't share a room with her!"
"I wasn't! I was going to take the couch while she had my bed!"
That...caused Minako to stop for a moment, looking at her son's face she could tell that he wasn't lying. Causing her to slouch in relief.
"I...okay. For a moment there I thought you were trying to do something…"
"What? Mom no!"
"I know, I know I overreacted! But um...just in case...I just want you to know, I'm not opposed to some grandkids, just so long as Asuka is willing."
"MOM!"
"What is that the wrong thing to say?!" She asked nervously
"Why would that be the right thing to say?!" Yuji grumbled "Are we done here? I don't wanna keep Asuka waiting."
"E-er...right." Minako said following her son back downstairs
-000-
Minako was panicking. She knew what she'd said to her son, but really she had no clue how to deal with her son bringing a girl! During dinner she had to excuse herself before rushing towards her room and pulling out a book she'd bought years ago. When she first took Yuji in, she had no idea what to do and so she referred to several parenting books. She'd stopped once he hit 12 years old, thinking she'd gotten a handle on things.
Boy was she wrong…
"Time to break out this one." She muttered reaching for a book titled 'Raising Offspring ages 15 and up.'
Minako hurriedly flipped through the pages stopping once she had found the chapter dedicated to discussing how to go about handling your child bringing a boy/girl home. She quickly scanned the pages, noting that it was said that as a mother she should be warm and approachable and not be antagonistic towards the boy/girl in question.
"Okay...this is good. This is really good, I didn't do anything bad like that! I let her in and made her a nice meal. Good Minako, you're doing good!"
Skipping a bit of way down, it made note that it was not good to jump to conclusions about your child's relationship with said friend. Such a thing could cause problems and cause the child discomfort.
"SHIT!" Minako shouted loudly
"Mom? Is something wrong?" Yuji called out to her
"N-nothing! I just dropped something that's all!"
Looking back into the book, Minako desperately began reading on what she should do next. Reading on it said that in the case of doing such a thing, it was proper to apologize to your child and make it known that if they wish to pursue their friend romantically, that it would be good to offer them support, but be prepared for the chance that things don't work out. Showing that you're willing to allow your child to vent to you is a sign of good parenting.
"Okay…okay, I'm good. I should be okay for now." Minako whispered as she continued reading
Back in the kitchen, Asuka and Yuji continued eating, though she was enjoying the food, Asuka couldn't help but look at the stairs a few times.
"Something wrong Asuka?" Yuji asked "Is the food good?"
"Yeah, the food is great! But...it's well…" She said looking away a bit embarrassed
"What is it?"
"I think you're mom may not like me? I mean, she pulled you away and she practically bolted after eating her food."
"Don't worry about that. My mom probably had some work to do. She works in fashion, so she probably had some emails or some designs to send off. But enough about that, I can join you and Katsuragi on the mission now! I'm looking forward to going on it, I'm sure the three of us will be able to handle it with ease."
At this Asuka's mood lightened up. She nodded at his words, a smile forming on her face. "Mhm! I'm sure you'll do fine. But since it's your first one, it'll probably be better to listen to Kat's instructions on this one."
"Really? Is she that good of a leader?" Yuji asked "No offense, but Katsuragi always seems a bit...well focused on one thing or well two things, if I'm being honest."
Getting the meaning behind his words Asuka couldn't help but sigh "I know, but believe me, when it's time to get serious Kat is really reliable!"
"Alright, I'll take your word for it. But I'm pushing her off a roof if she starts rubbing on my chest during the mission."
The two broke out in laughter as they finished eating their food. Yuji took the dishes and began to wash them when Asuka sidled up next to him saying she'd help him. When met with resistance, she gave him a soft glare telling him that she was going to help and she wasn't taking no for an answer. Sighing, Yuji made room for her and the two went about cleaning up. Once that was done, Yuji led Asuka towards his room, as he opened the door Asuka stood stock still.
"What's wrong now?"
"It's...well it's your room! Should I really go in there?"
"It's fine Asuka, nothing is going to happen, we'll go in, hang out, watch tv and then go to bed. I'll even take the couch tonight okay?"
"Uh sure…but um...there's nothing weird here right?"
"Weird? What do you mean?"
"Like...I'm not gonna find any dirty magazines under your bed am I?" She asked narrowing her eyes
Again, Yuji sighed "No you won't, I don't have dirty magazines under my bed."
He'd never tell her, but he had all that tucked away on his computer.
Asuka continued staring, but stopped after a few more moments. "Well okay, I'll trust you Yuji."
The rest of the night for the two went on without incident, with Yuji keeping his word and vacating the room once it was time for them to go to bed.
-000-
It was early in the morning and Yumi and her sisters had just finished up their visit to their grandfather. Things had been like this ever since he'd fallen ill. The girls would come see him in the morning before school and the afternoon afterwards. Though everyone had a calm face, Yumi wasn't a fool and she could read the atmosphere. They all knew that their grandfather, Kurokage, had very little time left and each of them had gone about dealing with it in their own way. Minori was usually really bubbly, but sometimes she just...stopped. She'd just quietly go to her room and sit, or if Yozakura asked her do something, Minori didn't pout or whine, she just did it. Shiki, though she would appear to be all smiles could at times be heard making several prayers for good health or a miracle to happen. There were even times when Yumi could hear her whimpering or weeping as quietly as possible and it took all she could to stop herself from smothering her surrogate sister in her arms and joining her. Murakumo had done...drawings. Tons of drawings of Kurokage. Some from her memory, others that she claimed were 'from memories that were yet to be made. Yumi knew what she really meant: Memories that would never be made. The most notable one being one of Murakumo holding a scroll, a sign of her having graduated from Gessen Girls Academy, with Kurokage looking on happily.
It hurt to look at.
Yozakura...well, sometimes she'd just let out a long painful sigh as she went about her usual chores. Usually, she'd go at it with gusto, but right now? It was like she was going through the motions.
As for Yumi for herself? She didn't know what to think, no she knew. She knew she was sad, but she had to keep her emotions in check. With her grandfather on death's door Yumi had to step up, it was up to her to look after them all now and there was no time for tears...not now anyway. That could come later, if it ever came at all. She had to make sure her sisters were okay first and foremost. She came second.
As the gray-haired girl and her sisters were walking down the hallway, they saw an older man walking towards them. There was no doubt he was a shinobi given how he carried himself and the air around him. Yumi could tell by looking that despite his age(about the same as Kurokage's) that he was no slouch. Taking notice of them, the man spoke.
"Excuse me, could I bother you with a question?" he asked, his voice reminding her of her grandfather, warm and kind, with the hint that he'd spoil them if given the chance
"Of course. I'll be glad to help if I can." Yumi said politely
"Wonderful! I'm looking for Kurokage's room, could you direct me to it."
That...caused her to stop, Yumi had become wary of this man now. According to her grandfather he had no real friends left. No one willing to help him at all or to even visit him. Really, it was a wonder he'd been admitted to this hospital at all, but Kurokage had assured them he still had some strings he could pull despite his reputation.
"Excuse me, but could you...tell me who you are? I was unaware that grandfather had any friends."
The older man snorted "Friends? Well, I suppose you could say me and the old fool were that once. I merely came here to give him one last good telling off before he kicks it."
Yumi's teeth ground against one another as she tried to stop herself from saying something she'd regret, but it was Shiki who spoke up instead.
"And just who do you think you are you old fossil?! Leave grandpa alone!"
"Me? Hehe, I'm twice the shinobi he's ever been."
"Pah! And what makes you so great?!" Yozakura growled
"Oh I never introduced myself! The name is Hanzo. Pleasure to meet you fine ladies!"
That name caused all of the girls to stop in their tracks. They knew about Hanzo, how could any shinobi not? But for them it was a bit more...personal. Yumi and the others could recall how Kurokage spoke of Hanzo. At times it was with resentment, at other times respect, and sometimes even a hint of regret. To Yumi and her sisters, this was far more than just a legend speaking to them just now. This was to them, the man who stood opposed to her grandfather's ideals. The man who said that trying to extinguish all evil in the world was a foolish endeavor and one not worth working towards.
This man, he was their enemy.
"Our grandfather has...spoken of you." Yumi said in a measured tone "Please forgive us, we didn't know it was you."
"It's fine, I wouldn't expect you too. That idiot probably burned any pictures of us together. Has he been treating you right? Keeping you fed? Heck, I'm surprised he managed to even find a girlfriend with all the nonsense he got up to."
Yumi let out a loud huff, doing her best to keep her temper in check "Do not worry, grandfather has been doing well by us. He even trained us personally until his health began to decline."
Hanzo raised an eyebrow "He did? My my, I am so sorry you had to suffer that."
"Why you-! Kurokage was a great teacher to us! He's a great shinobi! Far better than you or anyone else!" Murakumo roared, her mask obscured her face, but Yumi could easily tell she was scowling behind it, not to mention how she was shaking with anger
"is that so?" Hanzo said with a grin, he took a single step forward and yet in that singular action he appeared behind Murakumo, swinging frilly bra in his hands. The girls all spun towards him, looking on in shock before Shiki let out a scream.
"T-t-that's mine! How did you-?!"
"Years of practice girls." Hanzo said tossing the bra back towards Shiki who quickly took it and hid it behind her back.
"You're awful! How can you claim to be a great shinobi?!" Yumi shouted
"Simply put: Because I am. You don't live long in this line of work if you stay on top of your game. Heh, even in my old age I could run circles around you girls. But...I'm feeling generous, there is a way for you to convince me that that moron Kurokage is as great as you say."
Yumi and the others were silent, clearly waiting for him to continue his words. "You see, I have a granddaughter of my own. She attends the school with my name, if you can defeat her in a Shinobi Battle Royale, then I'll concede to the notion that Kurokage had...some talent. If you want more information, go ask one of your teachers at that school of yours for more information. I've got much to do and far little time to do it, so goodbye for now."
With that, Hanzo left the girls in the hallway rounding a corner and leaving them alone to mull over what was said. Yumi turned to her sisters who all silently nodded in agreement.
"Let's do it." Yozakura said, sealing the deal among them with those three words alone. "We'll put that old asshole in his place."
"Yes, I agree." Yumi nodded "Come, once we get to school, we'll ask Wang Pai about this Shinobi Battle Royale. No doubt he will have some information for us. Come, let's go."
The five girls walked off, their blood boiled and thoughts of vengeance for the disrespect thrown at their grandfather on their minds.
As the girls stalked off, Hanzo peered around the corner and sighed to himself.
"I'm going to hell aren't I?" He said to no one in particular, this was part of Kurokage's plan after all, but still the old man didn't particularly enjoy disrespecting his friend like that. It was all he could do to stop himself from dropping the charade and getting on his feet and begging for forgiveness. Not to mention he'd just painted a target on his granddaughter's back. Asuka's mother was going to give him an earful at best when she inevitably found out. Not to mention when his wife found. No doubt he was going to be on the couch again…
The upside to this is that he got see a nice bra at least! That singular fact had greatly brightened up Hanzo's mood and so he made his way to Kurokage's room to let him know that the plan had officially been put into motion.
I suppose you could make the argument that this was a bit of a filler chapter, but I think it was good enough for setting up things to come. If memory serves me right, I don't think Hanzo ever felt even a shred of remorse for setting Yumi and Asuka against one another. And I mean, the girls weren't fooling around either. I'm pretty sure they were fully intent on killing one another if it really came down to it. Anyways, next chapter is mission time and seeing if Yuji is up to the task. See ya then!
