Disclaimer: I don't own the 2004 animated film Shark Tale and all rights goes to DreamWorks Animation SKG. Shark Tale has been one of my favorite movies since my childhood, and it still is today. I've enjoyed that movie many times since I was a kid, and I still enjoy it today. Since I love the movie so much, I decided to do a whole retelling of the movie that is called When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie with new characters, new scenes, and different dialogue, and my OC belongs to me. When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie
Chapter 5: Oscar The Sharkslayer
Later on that day at the RMS Titanic, Luca and Yvette has already arrived back there, and they are now informing Don Lino about how the sea otter owner has failed to pay him protection money and how they end up wrecking up her bodega along with the five great white shark mobsters from earlier. Also, they have a conversation about how Frankie will tutor Lenny on how to become a cold-blooded killer with Teresa's help and how Teresa will begin encouraging Lenny to become a vicious shark just like Frankie.
At the deck, Lenny is sitting at one of the tables all by himself while he is waiting for Frankie to come and begin tutoring him on how to be a shark since Don Lino has ordered him to do so with the help of Teresa who he is also waiting for. He is very nervous about it since he honestly doesn't want to go through with it and he already knows that Teresa doesn't want to go through with it either since she has always been on his side no matter , he quickly notices Teresa arrives at the deck along with a nurse shark maid who brings a big bowl of spaghetti which causes him to become filled with surprise, and he begins wondering where Frankie is at right now since he was waiting for him to arrive as well while Teresa is also very nervous about it as much as he is.
"Who is this spaghetti for?" asked Lenny
"It's for you," said Teresa. "I've noticed that you haven't eaten anything since dinner last night, and I know you didn't eat anything for breakfast this morning either. Are you hungry?" Lenny's stomach growled very loudly and he nodded. "I thought so. Spaghetti is one of your favorite meals to eat, and here you go, Lenny."
"Thank you, Sis." said Lenny.
The nurse shark maid gives the big bowl of spaghetti to Lenny and then she quickly leaves the deck, and he begins eating the spaghetti since it turns out that he's very hungry from not eating anything during dinnertime last night and not eating anything during breakfast in the morning and he's really enjoying it already while Teresa began sitting at the table just as she began staring at him nervously. Also, Lenny began staring at Teresa nervously as well. Both of them wish that their father would accept Lenny for who he is.
Lenny sighed. "Oh, I really don't wanna be tutored by Frankie to be an aggressive shark."
"And I really don't wanna help Frankie out with tutoring you to be a bloodthirsty shark either." said Teresa. "Lenny, you are your own person, and Daddy needs to understand that. Also, I've always been on your side.
"Oh, and by the way, I wish that Pop would know that even though there are sharks who are killers, not all of them are like that." said Lenny. "But he wouldn't listen. And where's Frankie? He's the one who's gonna tutor me on how to be a killer with your help."
"Frankie is getting ready," said Teresa. "And he'll be here soon so he could get on this. Well, I wish I could be able to convince him that he shouldn't do it at all, but I wasn't able to convince him because he wanted to make Daddy happy even though there's other things to make him happy. I'm sorry, Lenny."
"That's alright, Teresa," said Lenny. "At least you've tried, and I wish I could convince Frankie too."
Then, Lenny and Teresa both quickly notice that Frankie has arrived at the deck and he is now preparing to tutor Lenny on how to be a killer with the help of Teresa.
"Alright, Lenny and Teresa. I'm here, and now it's time to get to work." said Frankie.
Lenny and Teresa both stare at Frankie in complete surprise for a moment, and then they both begin staring at each other just as they become even more nervous than before since they honestly don't want to go through with it at all.
Meanwhile, at the wastelands of the Atlantic Ocean, Oscar is now tied up to a rock and he's now being tortured by Ernie and Bernie for what happened back at the seahorse race while he kept screaming and struggling. Also, Sykes' two henchmen sang the song Three Little Birds by Bob Marley while they torture him by using their electric stingers.
"This is how you sing the hit song Three Little Birds from the 80s, Oscar." said Ernie. "Sykes, he said he likes you, mon. He said he was gonna take it easy on you." He zapped Oscar's cheeks.
"But Sykes is not here," said Bernie. "Ernie, let me ask you a question."
"Why do our electric stingers sting other people, but they have no effect on me or you?" asked Bernie while he zapped Oscar's head. He was about to zap Oscar again, but he accidentally zapped Ernie on the chest which caused him to scream and fall on the ground. "Ernie! I didn't mean it. It was just an accident." Bernie swims up to Ernie to see if he's okay, but Ernie begins laughing, meaning that he wasn' harmed at all while Bernie became relieved. "Ernie, you made a joke. Good one, mon. Respect."
"Respect. Bloodfire." said Ernie.
Oscar stared at Ernie and Bernie and frowned while knowing that they won't go easy on him at all and how he's in big trouble.
At the same time, the three siblings leave the RMS Titanic, and Frankie is now getting ready to tutor Lenny with Teresa's help, and they both still don't want to go through with it. Even though their relationship has been strained with him due to Lenny being so different and Teresa always encouraging him to be different from the other sharks, they've always loved him very much and they were very close to him during their childhood before their relationship with him became estranged.
"Frankie, you know I can't do this kind of thing." said Lenny.
"If Pop is gonna be happy, then you gotta kill something," said Frankie.
"How about I can find a very old sick fish and just wait for the perfect time?" asked Lenny.
Frankie groaned in annoyance. "Things are getting around what you just did at the restaurant last evening, and you know exactly how a fish loves to talk. This, that, the other, and then boom. Forget about it, you're dead. And your reputation is down in the abyss with the bottom feeders."
"Okay, I actually can't understand Mr. Wiseguy most of the time, so you'll have to be more specific about this whole tutoring." said Lenny.
"Oh, you want me to be specific? I'll be specific. Try to be a shark for once in your life!" said Frankie just as he smacked Lenny in his head.
Teresa groaned in annoyance. "Frankie, will you please stop hitting Lenny?! Cut it out! If you don't, then I'm gonna beat you senseless!"
Frankie laughed mockingly. "My little sister's gonna beat me senseless if I don't stop hitting Lenny. Well, I would like to see you try, Teresa."
"I am gonna do it if you don't knock it off," said Teresa. "Besides, he still doesn't have to learn how to be a shark to make Daddy happy, and I still don't have to encourage him either."
"For the last time, Teresa. You to have to do this. If it's gonna make things go so well." said Frankie.
Lenny whimpered. "Oh, what am I gonna do?"
Frankie sighed. "Lenny, forget about it, okay? We'll just do a couple of practice runs, badda-bing badda-boom, Pop will be happy, you will be a shark, and life will go on. Capiche?"
Lenny nodded. "Okay. Okay. Capiche."
Teresa groaned in annoyance. "Alright. Capiche."
Frankie suddenly covered Lenny and Teresa's mouths. "Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Bingo." He and his two siblings quickly notice Oscar still getting tortured by Ernie and Bernie from a distance. "You see that? Right over there is TV dinner. That could be the first main course during the tutoring." He, Lenny, and Teresa hide right behind a mound of sand. "Don't get any easier than this at all."
Lenny began concentrating. "Alright. C'mon, Lenny. Frankie, I can do this. What if I can't do this?"
"Then don't bother coming back home if you screw this up," said Frankie.
"Good point. Alright." said Lenny just as began swimming towards Oscar.
"Hey, why did you have to tell him that?" asked Teresa in shock. Frankie just shrugged his shoulders.
Back with Oscar, he is still being tortured by the two jellyfish by using their electric stingers.
"Hit him in the tail again," said Bernie. Ernie zaps Oscar in the tail again, causing him to make a funny face. "I like it when he makes a funny face."
"Yeah, it is so funny, mon," said Ernie.
Suddenly, Bernie saw Lenny coming right towards them. "Ernie! Look right over there!"
"Blow out!" said Ernie and Bernie.
The two jellyfish both leave, and they also both leave the bound and gagged Oscar behind in the wastelands. He begins struggling to get out of the seaweed and manages to get one of his fins out, and he removes the other seaweed off of his mouth.
"Um…Guys? Guys, please don't leave me alone!" Oscar called out. "C'mon, there could be sharks out here!"
Suddenly, Oscar felt a peculiar breath right behind him, causing to become filled with fear. He slowly turned himself around, and saw Lenny was about to eat him. He began screaming in fear and moved around like crazy just as he struggled to get out of the seaweed, but he was unable to do so while he attempted to escape.
Lenny closed his mouth and became concerned. "Oh, no! Wait a minute! Please, calm down! I'm sorry! No, I'm not gonna…"
"Lenny!" Frankie called out. "Snap your jaws like this. He showed Lenny to snap his jaws like a shark while Teresa shook her head in annoyance.
"Oh, no!" said Lenny. He took a deep breath and licked Oscar, but he became filled with disgust and revulsion just as he made a face.
Oscar groaned. "Oh, just get it over with!" He held up his free fin. "Wait a minute! Do me a favor! Don't chew me! I'm not made for that."
"Look, I'm not gonna eat you and I promise." said Lenny.
"Oh, c'mon! Don't do the whole head trip with me!" exclaimed Oscar.
"Just be quiet," said Lenny through his gritted teeth. "Listen to me, alright? Don't move until I tell you to." Lenny suddenly opened his mouth, showing his razor-sharp teeth.
"Back it up!" Oscar yelled out just as he closed his eyes.
Lenny made a huge lunge toward Oscar. But instead of eating him alive, Lenny bit through the seaweed that tied Oscar to the rock. Oscar slowly opened his eyes, and he saw Lenny pretending to eat him and thrashed around to make clouds of sand, much to his surprise. While Lenny was pretending to eat him, his two siblings watched the whole thing from behind the mound of sand, and Frankie became delighted just as he thought that he was finally learning how to be a shark and Teresa became filled with surprise just as she thought Lenny had decided if he was going through with it.
"That's it, Lenny! You're doing a good job already!" cheered Frankie. "There you go, buddy! Wave those fins, brother! Dig in!"
Frankie and Teresa both kept watching Lenny pretending to eat Oscar, and Teresa's expression quickly became complete shock just as she couldn't believe that Lenny would go through with learning how to become a killer even though he doesn't want to go through with it while she also doesn't want to go through with starting to encourage him to become a savage shark. She begins to question if Lenny would actually go through with it or still doesn't want to go through it.
Back with Lenny, he continued to pretend to eat Oscar while he pretended to growl and pretended to thrash himself around to make clouds of sand. Also, Oscar is still very confused about what Lenny is trying to do.
"Look, I'm just pretending to do this so you'll have a chance to get away. I'm just trying to help you out, little fish." said Lenny. "When you turn around, you take off and swim as fast as you can. He turns himself around while the clouds of sand begin to disappear. "Mmm. Mmm. This fish tastes just like lasagna. Mmm. Mmm." He pretended to eat Oscar.
"Oh, no! Seriously? Seriously?" asked Frankie in annoyance just as he did a facepalm.
Suddenly, the clouds of sand disappear, and Lenny turns himself around and sees Oscar is still there, much to his confusion. Frankie and Teresa both notice Oscar is still there as well and they both learn that Lenny hasn't eaten them at all, much to Frankie's disappointment and Teresa's amazement.
Once they both notice that Lenny didn't eat Oscar at all, Teresa became greatly relieved just as she knows that Lenny still doesn't want to go through with eating and killing him since he's one of those sharks who are good-natured while she's one of those sharks as well, and she knows that she still doesn't want to go through start encouraging Lenny to become a killer since she has always loved Lenny just the way he is.
Also, Teresa is very glad that Lenny didn't eat him at all and she quickly realized that he was only pretending to eat him so he could save him. While Teresa was very happy to see that Lenny was actually trying to save him and knew that he still didn't want to go through with learning how to become a killer, Frankie wasn't very happy at all just as he saw Lenny didn't eat Oscar at all and he was only pretending to eat him so he could save him, and Frankie became very angry and fed up at Lenny's kind-hearted nature.
"What did I tell you?" asked Lenny.
"Oh, I'm sorry! You want me to go now!" said Oscar.
"What the heck are you doing? Just go!" exclaimed Lenny.
"That's it, Lenny!" growled Frankie. "I've had enough to hear! If you want something done right, do it yourself!"
Then, Frankie begins swimming towards Oscar to eat him himself since Lenny wouldn't go through with eating him, causing his two siblings to become filled with complete shock as well as Oscar.
"What?! Frankie, are you crazy?! Don't do this!" exclaimed Teresa.
"Oh, no!" exclaimed Oscar.
"Hurry swim, little fish!" exclaimed Lenny. "No, Frankie, stop! Wait a minute!
Oscar kept hopping around really fast just as Frankie began chasing him, and Frankie ignored his younger siblings' pleas. He got closer to Oscar and was about to catch him in his razor-sharp teeth, but suddenly, a large anchor appeared from out of nowhere and crushed him. His jaws slammed shut right, and he hit on the ground with a thud.
The two jellyfish kept swimming away until they heard a loud crashing sound in the distance of the wastelands, and they turned themselves around and saw a large cloud of sand, causing them to become filled with surprise.
Back with Oscar, he is now out of the seaweed, and he is now crouching himself down on the ground in complete fear while he checked to see that Frankie was still chasing him, but he quickly noticed that he had stopped chasing him. Lenny and Teresa slowly swam up to Frankie just as the sand began clearing up, and they became filled with complete shock upon seeing him that he got crushed by the anchor.
"Oh…my…gosh." said Teresa in shock.
Lenny gasped in shock. "Frankie!"
Lenny uses his razor-sharp teeth to cut through the chain of the anchor, and he removed it off of Frankie and tossed it aside while Oscar was still crouching down on the ground in fear. Frankie has been injured, and Lenny then begins cradling him in his fins along with Teresa.
"Lenny…Teresa…" said Frankie weakly just as he coughed. "Lenny, Teresa, is that you?"
"We're here, Frankie," said Lenny.
"Come closer, you two…" said Frankie weakly.
"What is it, Frankie?" asked Teresa.
"I don't feel okay at all…I'm so cold…" said Frankie weakly.
"That's just because we're cold-blooded since we're sharks." said Lenny. Frankie slaps him. "OW!"
"Hey!" exclaimed Teresa.
"Moron…" said Frankie just as he coughed. He then succumbs to his injuries after getting crushed by the anchor and he dies.
"No! No, no, no! Frankie…" said Teresa just as she began shedding tears.
"Frankie...please don't go into the light..." said Lenny just as he began shedding tears. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He begins crying and begins to mourn the loss of Frankie.
"We…We…We can't believe it! Frankie has died!" said Teresa. She begins crying and begins to mourn the loss of Frankie. "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!"
The two siblings continued crying and mourned over the loss of their older brother Then, they stared at each other just as they began expressing how much they will miss him after he got killed by the anchor. Also, they both begin remembering the good times they had with him during their childhood.
Lenny's Flashback
A long time ago at the RMS Titanic, young Lenny and young Frankie swam throughout the hallways together, and they both were playing pillow fight with each other. They both hit each other with their own pillows, and have so much fun during the game. Soon, young Frankie tackles young Lenny to the ground and hits him with his own pillow on the face so many times which made him laugh so hard, and then they both warmly embrace each other.
Teresa's Flashback
Another long time ago at the RMS Titanic, young Teresa and young Frankie are at the library, and they are building different kinds of puzzles with each other such as a starfish puzzle, a sea urchin puzzle, a sea cucumber puzzle, and a sand dollar puzzle. They've managed to work together to put the right pieces of each puzzle together, and they both congratulate each other and express their sibling love for each other.
End Flashbacks
The two siblings get finished with remembering the good times they had with their older brother during their childhood, and they continue to mourn the loss of him, and then they warmly embrace each other and nuzzle each other's heads. Soon, Lenny begins to think that Frankie's death is completely his fault, and he begins to feel guilty and blames himself for it even though he wasn't really responsible for it.
"Oh, Teresa, this is all my fault!" said Lenny. "I'm so sorry, Frankie!" He continues crying.
Teresa gasped in shock just as she continued to cry. "What?! Lenny, don't say that! You weren't really responsible for it!"
Lenny didn't listen to Teresa just as he still felt guilty for Frankie's death. "Oh, how am I ever gonna explain this to Pop? Also, how am I ever gonna explain this to Mom when she gets home from the hospital when she recovers from leukemia? What will they both say about this? Oh, no!"
Lenny then swims away just as he continues to cry and continues to blame himself for Frankie's death. Teresa gasps in surprise upon seeing him swim away, and she begins to go after him just as she continues to cry and still attempts to comfort him and get him to understand that Frankie's death wasn't really his fault. Also, Teresa unknowingly passes Oscar, who yelped in fear just as he got pushed by a cloud of sand due to Teresa passing him and causing him to land right in front of the dead Frankie.
"Lenny, wait! It wasn't really your fault!" exclaimed Teresa in the distance.
Oscar suddenly raises his fins up in complete fear. Then, he notices that his corpse is right behind him and begins doing martial arts moves like crazy as well as making martial arts sound effects just as he thinks Frankie is still alive.
"Watch it! Back up! I'm crazy! I'll be tripping!" Oscar yelled out.
Bernie and Ernie soon come back and see Frankie's corpse, causing them to become greatly amazed. Oscar continues to make martial arts moves and martial arts sound effects until he accidentally kicks Ernie in the eye.
"Ow! What the…?" asked Ernie in pain just as he held his eye.
Oscar quickly notices Ernie and Bernie have already come back, and he screams in fear while Ernie and Bernie screamed in fear too. Oscar screams in fear again, and Ernie and Bernie screamed in fear again while they hold onto each other. Oscar hides behind the dead Frankie while Bernie and Ernie are still amazed upon seeing Frankie's corpse.
"Don't hurt us, mon! We're sorry! It was all Ernie's idea!" said Bernie.
Ernie nodded his head in agreement, but he stared at Bernie angrily. Oscar then stared at the two jellyfish in fear from right behind Frankie's corpse, and they are still amazed upon seeing Frankie's corpse. Ernie and Bernie kept staring at Oscar and the corpse, and they began to think that Oscar was the one who killed Frankie just as they began to show Oscar some respect.
"Uh…Oscar? Did you…Did you kill that shark?" asked Bernie.
Oscar stares at the dead Frankie and stares at Ernie and Bernie for a moment, and then he quickly realizes that they think that he has actually killed Frankie which isn't true at all. He was about to tell them the truth that he didn't really kill Frankie, but he stopped himself when he noticed that they were staring at him with respect. He quickly realizes that he can finally get the respect that he has yearned for and he realized that he wanted to keep that respect if he doesn't tell the truth. So, he stared at Frankie's corpse again, and he quickly got an idea.
"Well, since you asked me that question, the answer is yes." said Oscar just as got on top of the dead Frankie's dorsal fin. "And that's how it is."
"Well, if you really did kill that shark, then what happened?" asked Bernie.
"You guys wanna know what happened, do ya?" asked Oscar.
"Yeah, we do, and you're standing on top of that shark right now," said Bernie.
"Go on, mon," said Ernie.
"Alright. I'll tell you guys right now." said Oscar just as he began thinking of something really fast.
The next day, at the Whale Wash, Oscar was telling his bogus story about killing a shark for the twentieth time. A large crowd of the employees as well as the six Shorties and Crazy Joe gathered and listened to his story. Angie was sitting on the steps of the office, Nelson was at Oscar's left side, and Sabrina was at Oscar's right side, and they were listening to his story as well and they were very proud of him. He was having the time of his life when he kept telling his story to everybody and they were all very impressed.
"Well, the shark that I killed was huge. I mean, really huge." said Oscar. "He was swimming right towards me, and he attacked me and attempted to make me the main course. His teeth were like razors."
"Razors! Ha! The shark's teeth must've been like razor-sharp teeth." said Angie.
"Of course they were." said Oscar. "And I was all like, "you're gonna come up at me like that? You're gonna come up at the Big O like that? Uh-uh. I don't think so. So, I managed to fight back before I could become the shark's main course. That's exactly what happened when I encountered him, and I've managed to take him down all by myself."
"This is so awesome," said Nelson. "Nobody wasn't able to take on a shark since they were too afraid, but somebody was able to take on a shark and that somebody is you, Oscar."
"Hey, do the muscle thing! Do the muscle thing! Everybody loves it when you show off your muscles!" said Sabrina.
"Oh, right!" said Oscar just as he nodded. He turned back to the crowd and began flexing his muscles. "So, I told that shark during that fight I had with him, I said "You see this guy…" He flexed his left muscle. ""Well, he has a brother, and he lives right over here!"" He flexed his right muscle. ""And I think it's time for a little…"" Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina joined in with him. ""Family reunion!""
The large crowd as well as the six Shorties and Crazy Joe began cheering for Oscar, and Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina cheered for Oscar as well and they were very proud of him. Angie got up from the steps and swam around Oscar, Nelson clapped his fins for Oscar, and Sabrina gave Oscar a thumbs up.
Ernie and Bernie were both talking to a fish cameraman about what just happened while Katie Current attempted to get past them so she could have an interview with Oscar about killing a shark, and she was very impressed by Oscar's bogus story as well.
"That's exactly what happened, mon." said Ernie. "We were right there when it happened,"
"Excuse me? Pardon me?" asked Katie Current. "MOVE IT!" She gets through Ernie and Bernie and she swims up to Oscar along with the fish cameraman.
"Oh, sorry about that, mon!" said Bernie just as he and Ernie held onto each other in fear. "Katie Current seems so nice on the news."
"Hello, Oscar. I'm Katie Current, keeping it current." Katie Current greeted while she pushed Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina away. Angie accidentally bumped into the fish cameraman and smiled awkwardly, and Nelson and Sabrina both smiled awkwardly when Angie accidentally bumped into the fish cameraman. "As the first fish in history to ever take on a shark and win since nobody would ever fight off a shark, does this mean that you're now the defender of the reef, new sheriff in town, the big Kahuna?"
"Katie, I'm gonna keep it real." said Oscar just as he took Katie Current's microphone. "Is it okay I can just call you Katie? Are you alright with that?"
"Of course. You can call me Katie." said Katie Current. "Also, you becoming the reef's new defender is absolutely the scoop of the century of Sea 9. It really is."
"Any shark that tries to attack Southside Reef is going down!" said Oscar on the jumbotron of Pelagic Square.
Everybody in Southside Reef cheered for Oscar for becoming the new hero of the reef since they have always hoped that there will be a hero who can help them out with being terrorized by the great white shark mafia just as they all saw him on the jumbotron at Pelagic Square. Also, Oscar was enjoying the cheering and the admiration that he has been getting from everybody for taking credit for killing a shark which he never actually did, and his lifelong dream has finally come true. He finally became somebody and he finally got respect from the others, and he was going all the way to the top and he was already rising to fame.
While everybody in the reef cheered for Oscar, Lola was leaving Clamingdale's along with the rich fish who had bought her many expensive gifts. Lola and the rich fish were about to head to a luxurious restaurant for their date, but Lola suddenly noticed Oscar on the jumbotron and quickly realizes that he is being cheered by everybody in the reef and becoming famous, she then changes his mind about him and becomes interested in him again. She decides to break up with the rich fish so she could start a relationship with him which could be a perfect opportunity for her.
"I get poetic, and during the heatwaves, I get very poetic." said Oscar on the jumbotron.
"Oscar? Hmmm. Oscar." whispered Lola. The rich fish suddenly taps on her shoulder. "What is it?"
"Well, are we gonna go to the restaurant or not? I've already made reservations, and he should get there soon before somebody else takes our table." said the rich fish.
"Actually, I realize that this relationship isn't gonna work out," said Lola. "I'm breaking up with you, and we're now over. I realized that I'm into somebody else and I'll be taking these gifts you bought me." She grabs the gifts from the rich fish and begins leaving. "But don't worry, you'll eventually find somebody else. There's plenty of fish in the sea."
The rich fish watched Lola leave and became filled with disappointment. "But I thought you wanted me to be your…" He sighed.
Back at the Whale Wash, everybody kept cheering for Oscar and began asking him some questions about his fake story of killing a shark. Suddenly, Sykes appeared right in front of Oscar.
"Okay, okay, okay! Get out of here, you barracudas!" said Sykes. "Any more questions for this fish will be answered by me."
"And you are?" asked Katie Current.
"I'm his manager. My name is Sykes. With a "Y"." said Sykes.
"And I'm the crazy crustacean Crazy Joe, and I'm Oscar's financial advisor." said Crazy Joe. Everybody stared at Crazy Joe in surprise. "Um…you guys wanna see my puppets?" He gets his puppets out of his shell. "Hello there, everybody."
"Could you excuse us for a moment, please?" said Oscar. He and Sykes turn themselves around from the large crowd as well as the six Shorties, Crazy Joe, and Katie Current. "You are my manager?"
"Kid, you're becoming a celebrity already." explained Sykes just as he put his fin around Oscar. "So, I decided to become your manager. Together, we'll work together and make a fortune. Just let me handle it."
"But what about the 5 G's I was supposed to pay you back?" asked Oscar.
"Forget about the 5 G's, and that's no longer important. From now on, we're partners." said Sykes.
Oscar slipped out of Sykes' fin. "So, what are we exactly talking about here, huh?"
"I'm thinking that we should do a 90 to 10 split on the clams." said Sykes.
"That's a pretty generous," said Oscar.
"You take the 10 and I'll take the 90," said Sykes.
Oscar shook head. "Well, I don't think so."
"Talk to me about this," said Sykes.
"You get 15," said Oscar.
"70," said Sykes.
"20," said Oscar.
"75," said Sykes.
"Dude, you're going the wrong way." said Oscar.
"50." said Oscar and Sykes.
"Are you happy?" asked Sykes.
"No. Are you happy?" asked Oscar.
"No." said Sykes.
"Deal," said Oscar and Sykes.
Oscar and Sykes shook each other's fins and did a finshake, and they both turned back to the large crowd.
"My manager and I are now prepared to answer some more questions if you have any," said Oscar.
"Oscar, since you have become Southside Reef's new hero, are you still gonna continue to work at the Whale Wash?" asked Katie Current.
"Please, I barely work at this kind of business right now," said Oscar. The large crowd laughed.
"Ha! Keep it up, kid. You're really slaying the crowd." said Sykes.
"No. He's actually slaying sharks." replied Katie Current.
"Hey, hey, hey! That's good! That's good, I like that! Oscar the Sharkslayer." said Sykes.
"Wow! A Sharkslayer! That's so awesome!" said the six Shorties.
"You heard it here first, citizens of Southside Reef." Katie Current announced to the viewers while Oscar flexed his muscles and did some poses on the jumbotron of Pelagic Square. "From now on, if the sharks would try to dare to terrorize the reef just like they did many times in the past, it will be their own funeral. We wouldn't have to deal with shark attacks any longer and wouldn't have to live in fear of the sharks since Oscar the Sharkslayer has become the reef's new hero."
Everybody in the reef continued to cheer for Oscar for becoming the new hero known as the Sharkslayer, and they hoped that he could successfully defend them from the sharks somehow since they have been terrorized by them for so long.
