"I don't know how many times I told you two to behave but as usual you never listen do you?!" Molly cried as she pushed open the front door to the Burrow.

"Well mum maybe it's because you didn't tell us not to set off those fireworks enough times, we thought we were allowed" Fred said innocently.

The weasley's all piled in to the kitchen dropping bags on the floor and table. They had just arrived back from their trip to Egypt to visit Bill they were all tired and most of them were sporting rather pink ears and noses from the heat out there.

"Oh you two, wait until I tell Arabelle about this, she seems to be the only person you two will listen to these days. Where is she anyway, I sent an owl to let her know we would be back this morning, it must be one hundred degrees in this house!" She said fanning herself with her hand. "ARABELLE?!" She cried up the stairs.

"We'll go get her mum, we want to give her the present we got her anyway." George said, both running up the stairs.

Charlie walked through the door last, behind Bill. Molly has persuaded them both to come home for a few days before the summer ended. He set his bag down and shifted nervously on his feet. It had been a long time since he had been home and an even longer time since he had seen Arabelle or heard from her. He was so nervous he felt sick. How was he supposed to act around here these days. How was she going to act towards him. Two years had passed but not a day had gone by where his heart didn't still ache for her. Everyone said time would make it better but so far it hadn't. He heard footsteps running down the stairs and his stomach tightened in a knot.

"MUM!MUM!" The twins cried from upstairs.

"Oh what is it now!" Molly cried turning to face the twins now standing at the bottom of the stairs. Both were pale and had a shaken look about them. Charlie moved towards the stairs. He knew something was wrong.

"Its Arabelle" they cried together "she's not there, she's gone, everything is gone."

"What are you talking about" Molly said calmly.

"What you mean she's gone back to Hogwarts already?" Bill asked.

"No her room is trashed, I think someone's been in there." Fred said his voice shaking slightly.

Charlie pushed past the twins and ran the stairs two at a time "Arabelle?!" He shouted.

Silence.

"Arabelle!" He cried again. Her door was left wide open by the twins. A draught blew the through the door in to the hall, the window hung wide open, her curtains swooping in the air as if caught in a whirl wind. Her bed was unmade, the duvet lay half on the floor, he heard footsteps behind him as he walked into the room. Her lamp and mirror both were smashed on the ground. Bottles of perfume, jewellery and makeup littered the floor. There was a crack under his foot as he stepped on a tube of dark red lipstick, smearing it over the wooden floor.

Arthur walked in behind Charlie and with a flick of his wand the window slammed shut.

"Dad" Charlie turned to face him, his voice filled with fear "what happened here"

Mr weasley surveyed the room for a moment before he spoke. "I don't think anyone besides Arabelle had been here, but it seems as if she left in a hurry".

Molly, the twins, percy, Ron and Ginny were all standing in the doorway none of them wanting to enter the room.

"But why would she leave like this?" George asked worryingly. "Did something happen to her?"

"MUM! DAD! You might want to come down here quickly!" Bill's voice cried from the kitchen.

They all turned on their heels and ran back down to the kitchen.

Bill was standing at the table, holding a scrap of parchment, with the newspaper in front of him. Molly and Arthur stopped behind him. Molly screamed when she saw the photo on the front of the paper. Arthur rubbed his eyes, as if he couldn't believe what he was reading. Charlie leaned over Bill's shoulder, he saw it those crazy cold eyes looking up at him and a cold chill came over him. Panic began to rise within him. This must have been why Arabelle had left in such a rush. But where the hell had she gone?

The kids stood a few steps behind the four at the table. "Mum?" Ginny asked nervously "what's going on?" Her voice was shaking and tears were welling up in her eyes, "where's Arabelle? She said she'd be here when we got back." Fred pulled Ginny towards him as tears began to roll down her cheeks.

The four turned to look at the children but their expressions did nothing to ease their minds. They were all ashen faced and wide-eyed with shock. Charlie turned back to Bill and saw the parchment in his hand. "What is that?" He asked.

"She left a note with the paper." Bill replied simply.

"Well?" George said impatiently "what does it say?"

Bill read the note out loud to them. Charlie felt annoyance replace some of his fear "don't worry?!" He cried "is she joking"

Bill turned to look at him but his expression was blank as if he didn't know how to respond.

"Why did she have to leave?" Ron asked, confused.

Charlie picked up the paper and tossed it over to Ron. They all crammed around to read the paper. "She had to leave because of him" he told them.

"Well" Molly said turning to bill "is there another note saying she's safe? When was that one written?"

"Don't know, it doesn't say" Bill replied.

"And she didn't say where she was going? Not even a hint" Molly questioned Bill further.

"That wouldn't have been a good idea Molly" Arthur responded "she did the right thing by keeping it vague. She didn't know if anyone would come here before we arrived to read it."

Everyone looked towards him, eyes filled with fear as they all thought the same thing.

"You don't mean you think he's going to try to find her do you?" Charlie asked shocked. "That's why she ran?"

"Not necessarily, I think she was worried the ministry would make her a suspect, try to place the blame upon her, wouldn't surprise me one bit to be honest" Arthur replied.

"But why did she run away?" Percy asked. "That makes her look as if she had something to do with it doesn't it? You don't think she...did do you?"

"Percy don't be an idiot" Charlie snapped at him. "You know full well she has nothing to do with that psycho."

Percy opened his mouth to reply but Arthur interrupted him. "Now boys, I think we all need to calm down. Everyone go sit. I'll make some tea." They all sat down in silence, mulling over the news they had received. No one spoke for a long time. Molly eventually rose from her seat and walked over to the grandfather clock standing against the wall. She cried out the anguish she had kept inside as she saw the hand positioned at mortal peril.

"Oh Merlin!" She cried. "That poor girl, how do we know she's going to be okay. She could be laying in a ditch dead by now for all we know" her voice becoming hysterical.

Charlie was sitting in the armchair with Ginny on his lap, he felt her hands tighten around his arms as her mother began to sob. Charlie felt his stomach drop at the words.

Arthur ran to Molly's side "now Molly don't think like that, she's an excellent witch and we all know she's perfectly capable of looking after herself. Molly began to sob despite his words.

"I just wish we knew she was okay" molly cried.

Ginny began to cry too now, burying her face into Charlie's chest. He tightened his grip on her holding her close. He too couldn't stop thinking of different ways Arabelle could be injured or dead already. He knew she was able to look after herself but he couldn't control the irrational panic, seeing their old room once so tidy and organised, filled with their love, now trashed and abandoned had unnerved him. He knew she must of felt terrified and alone when she ran. He felt guilty for not being here for her at the time. He looked around at everyone else and knew by their faces they were thinking the same kind of thoughts. If something had happened to her he knew he wouldn't be able to live with himself.

The room began to feel too hot, too close for him. The Windows were wide open but the heat began to make his head feel light. He picked Ginny up off him, and carried her outside in his arms like he had when she was little. Even for a 12-year-old she was incredibly light. She barely noticed she had moved, still sobbing in 's chest. He took a deep breath once he walked through the door but the air was still thick and humid. He paced up and down the porch for a few minutes trying to think of anything else but Arabelle. He looked out towards the fields as something caught his eye. His days of being a seeker had given him excellent vision for seeing small objects. Something was flying in the sky towards them. A light brown tawny owl. It grew bigger as it got closer. Charlie could see the letter in its beak. He could tell before he saw the envelope that it was from Arabelle. His heart leapt in his chest. This must mead she was alive and at least somewhat safe.

"Look Ginny" he cried. She lifted her head and looked towards the sky "it's Arabelle's letter."
