Disclaimer: I don't own the 2004 animated film Shark Tale and all rights goes to DreamWorks Animation SKG. Shark Tale has been one of my favorite movies since my childhood, and it still is today. I've enjoyed that movie many times since I was a kid, and I still enjoy it today. Since I love the movie so much, I decided to do a whole retelling of the movie that is called When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie with new characters, new scenes, and different dialogue, and my OC belongs to me. When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie
Chapter 15: Confessions and Reconciliations
At the Whale Wash, Ernie and Bernie have arrived back at the receptionist office, and they are still practicing on getting the slogan right while they are making the phone calls with the customers on the telephone.
"Try saying the slogan again." said Bernie just as he picked up the telephone and gave it to Ernie.
Ernie did a facepalm and took the telephone from Bernie. "Whale Wash, you get a whale of a wash, and the price is…" Just as he tried to get the slogan right, he suddenly saw Oscar swimming right towards the Whale Wash while he was still fleeing from the wrath of Don Lino, causing him to become filled with fear. "...OH, MY GOSH!"
"Alright! You got it right!" cheered Bernie
"Wait a minute? I did?" asked Ernie.
"Mmm-hmm. You sure did." said Bernie.
"Well, that's great. But look at what I just saw, mon!" said Ernie just as he pointed at Oscar who was still being chased by Don Lino.
"Huh?" asked Bernie. He turned himself around to see what Ernie was pointing at, and he suddenly saw Oscar swimming right towards the Whale Wash while he was still fleeing from the wrath of Don Lino, causing him to become filled with fear as well. "OH, MY GOSH!"
Oscar still kept swimming very fast and kept fleeing from Don Lino's wrath. He did the best he can to flee from him just as he kept swimming towards the Whale Wash right after he got an idea, and while he does so, he is now fleeing from him within the large assembly line of customers who are arriving at the Whale Wash to get themselves cleaned up by the many employees who work there.
"Move! Everybody get out of the way!" Oscar yelled out. "There is a shark that has gone crazy, and he's coming! Everybody swim for your lives!"
"BLOW OUT!" exclaimed Ernie and Bernie in fear just as they both left the receptionist office again.
Inside the Whale Wash, many employees are doing their hard work on taking good care of the many customers' personal hygiene. However, they suddenly notice Oscar being chased by Don Lino while he is still swimming right towards the Whale Wash, causing all of them to stop what they're doing and begin panicking. The customers quickly flee, and a crab employee uses his batons to signal all of the employees to leave in an organized line which they do so, and he leaves along with them as well.
Oscar kept swimming right towards the Whale Wash and kept fleeing from Don Lino's wrath, and then Oscar arrives at the Whale Wash where he will make an attempt to subdue Don Lino and trap him somehow. While the massive chase ensues, Oscar's three best friends, the two siblings, and Sykes suddenly arrive as well, and they proceed to work together to save him from him. Also, Sykes suddenly saw the employees as well as his two henchmen gather right in front of the Whale Wash and he decides to calm them down and let Angie, Nelson, Sabrina, Lenny, and Teresa take care of saving Oscar from being killed by Don Lino.
Sykes then heads to the large crowd and manages to calm them all down since they are now filled with fear right after they saw Oscar fleeing from the wrath of Don Lino who is attempting to kill and eat him, and they begin witnessing the whole thing. Katie Current and a fish cameraman of the Sea 9 local news suddenly arrive and begin seeing the incident, and the six Shorties and Crazy Joe arrive and begin watching the ensuing chaos as well. Oscar's three best friends and the two siblings proceed to save Oscar from Don Lino, and his three best friends pick up some cleaning brushes from the floor and decide to use them to attack Don Lino.
Oscar continues fleeing from the wrath of Don Lino at the Whale Wash and manages to dodge his jaws, and then he arrives at the control tower of the Whale Wash where he quickly grabs one of it's control switches where it controls the soaper system and he proceeds to use it against Don Lino in order to subdue him and trap him somehow. While he does so, his three best friends see Don Lino coming closer to him, and they prepare to attack him with the cleaning brushes to save Oscar with the help of the two siblings who proceed to somehow convince Don Lino not to hurt Oscar.
"C'mon, Lino! It's time to clean up your act!" said Oscar.
Don Lino suddenly spotted Oscar at the control tower and continued to head right towards him, and while he did so, Oscar quickly pushed one of the buttons which caused large amounts of soap suds to shower down on Don Lino, and some of them hit him in the face. He quickly turned away to protect his eyes from the soap suds, and they began to shower everywhere which caused him to be unable to see anything.
"Pop, leave Oscar alone! Don't hurt him!" exclaimed Lenny.
Oscar's three best friends and the two siblings continue to swim up to Don Lino in an attempt to save Oscar from him, but they accidentally get showered by the soap suds as well, causing them to be unable to see anything as well. They end up becoming very confused about where they are going and they accidentally bump into each other, and they accidentally separate from each other. The two siblings suddenly see Don Lino and they attempt to go after him, but more soap suds shower everywhere, causing them to be unable to see anything even more. The two siblings suddenly saw Don Lino as well and they attempted to attack him, but more of the soap suds made them unable to see anything even more, and they suddenly got swept away by them by accident which caused them to drop the cleaning brushes.
Just as the large amounts of soap suds kept showering all over the place, Oscar then sees a peculiar figure that looks like a great white shark, and it makes him think it's Don Lino. He quickly pulls down the switch and activates the whale clamping device in order to trap the figure while the Whale Wash went into red whirling lights and the emergency alarms went off, and the whale clamping device quickly traps the figure. Oscar swam right towards it to see if he had managed to trap Don Lino while the large crowd watched the ensuing chaos.
"Alright, Lino! The game is now over!" said Oscar. Just as the large amounts of soap suds begin to dissolve, Oscar suddenly notices that Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina are now being trapped in soap bubbles by accident, much to his surprise. Then, the soap suds dissolve, and Oscar quickly notices that he has trapped Lenny in the whale clamping device instead by accident, much to his surprise and shock. "Lenny? What the heck are you doing in there?"
"Sorry about that." apologized Lenny sheepishly.
"I thought I trapped your father, but I've trapped you instead, and it was an accident. Where's Lino?" asked Oscar. Suddenly, Don Lino appears right behind Oscar just as he smiles sadistically at him with a very hungry expression, and Oscar quickly notices that Don Lino is right behind him, causing him to become filled with complete fear. "Oh, he's right behind me, isn't he?"
"You're mine now, little fish." said Don Lino.
Oscar slowly turns himself around and sees Don Lino right behind him, and he screams in complete fear and then continues to flee from him. Just as the massive chase continues, Teresa begins chasing after Don Lino in order to save Oscar while her brother and Oscar's three best friends watch her do so.
"Daddy, please stop! Please don't take him out!" exclaimed Teresa.
Just as she kept chasing Don Lino in order to save Oscar, Teresa suddenly trips on the control tower by accident, which causes her to spin out of control for a moment just as she screams and crashes right into the wall. Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina, and Lenny became filled with surprise and shock, and she slowly slid down on the floor just as she groaned in pain. Oscar continues to flee from Don Lino just as he kept screaming in fear and he kept dodging his jaws, and he suddenly notices the dental section and quickly hides there from Don Lino. At the dental section, Oscar hides in one of the closets, and Don Lino didn't even notice him go into the dental section just as he became greatly confused and began looking for him.
Don Lino growled in anger and frustration. "Come out, Sharkslayer! Come on out so we could continue with this and I could tear you fin from fin, and I might go easy on you if you wouldn't try to hide from me! You can swim, but you can't hide!"
Don Lino continues to look for Oscar, and he is still completely unaware that he went to the dental section where he is now hiding inside the dental closet. While he does so, Oscar continues to hide from him in complete fear, and he hopes that he wouldn't have a chance to find him at the dental section.
"Oh, Don Lino has gone crazy!" whispered Oscar. "He wants to get me 'cause I killed his own son, and made his other two kids turn against him and his mafia, and I know none of that isn't true at all. This was a dumb thing to do, and I honestly don't wanna be the Sharkslayer anymore 'cause I'm actually a sham, that's all. After all of this is over, I'm telling the truth 'cause I can't go on like this anymore after I've realized it."
Oscar quickly notices some dental floss right beside him, and once he notices the dental floss, he quickly gets another idea to subdue and trap Don Lino. He opens up 20 boxes of the dental floss, ties all of them together, and makes them into a very long rope which he plans to use to tie up Don Lino in. He then slowly comes out of the closet and prepares to tie him up in it, and he slowly begins swimming out of the dental section without being noticed by him.
However, his tail-fins suddenly trip on one of the dental instruments which causes it to fall on the floor and make a lot of noise in the process. He gasps in shock and fear, and Don Lino hears the noise from the dental section which made him smile sadistically just as he noticed that Oscar is at the dental section. Oscar quickly sits up the table back on the floor, and Don Lino quickly arrives at the dental section and finds him, much to his delight just as he screams in terror.
"Oh, no!" exclaimed Oscar.
"Well, it looks like I've found you! Now it's time to get my revenge!" said Don Lino.
"If you wanna get revenge on me so much, then you gotta get me first." said Oscar.
"Oh, I'll get you! And I won't stop until I do!" said Don Lino.
Don Lino snapped his jaws at Oscar, and he quickly dodged them just as the massive chase between them continued. He quickly swims out of the dental section in order to flee from the wrath of Don Lino. Also, he prepares to tie up Don Lino in the dental floss rope he just made, but before he could do so, he quickly went back to the control tower, and he grabs the control switch again while Lenny is now struggling to get out of the clamping device, his three best friends are still trapped in the bubbles, and Teresa is still lying on the floor. Don Lino quickly spots Oscar and begins heading right towards him, and he quickly presses the button again which causes large amounts of soap suds to shower down on him again.
Also, the soap suds shower down on Lenny, Oscar's three best friends which caused them to be swept all over the place, and Teresa just as she slowly began recovering from her accident just as she got up from the floor. Oscar went inside of them and prepared to tie up Don Lino in the dental floss rope, but he wasn't able to see anything and became confused about where he is going, and unbeknownst to him, Don Lino quickly gets out of the soap suds again. He suddenly sees another peculiar figure that looks just like a great white shark in the soap suds, and he quickly thinks that the other figure is Don Lino. He proceeds to use the rope to tie it up, and he quickly catches it in the rope and he quickly ties it up really fast while everybody continues to watch the ensuing chaos.
"Okay, Don Lino! I got you this time, and this time the game is now over!" said Oscar. Just as the large amounts of soap suds begin to dissolve again, Oscar notices that Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina are still being trapped in soap bubbles by accident and they are now being swept by the soap suds, much to his surprise. Then, the soap suds dissolve again, and Oscar quickly notices that he has accidentally tied up Teresa in the dental floss rope instead, much to his surprise and shock. "Huh? Teresa? I tied you up in floss? What the…"
"Well, it looks like you did, Oscar," said Teresa. "I'm so sorry."
"That's alright." said Oscar. " Well, if I tied you up in the floss, then where's Lino anyway?"
Suddenly, Oscar spots Don Lino coming right towards him, and he screams in complete fear, and it's just like a little girl. He continues to flee from his wrath, and the massive chase continues. Suddenly, Oscar arrives at one of the blower machine systems that activates, causing him to be blown and be shot up very high and Don Lino missed him just as he went past him. He then went back down just as Don Lino approached him from behind right after he went back down, and he suddenly saw some of the automatic brushes and he quickly got another idea to subdue and trap Don Lino somehow.
"Let's finish this, Sharkslayer!" said Don Lino just as he came closer to Oscar.
"Oh, we're about to!" said Oscar.
Oscar continues to flee from the wrath of Don Lino just as he began heading right towards the automatic brushes that began closing in on each other, and Don Lino continues to chase Oscar just as he snapped his jaws at him in an attempt to eat him while Oscar managed to dodge his jaws. Soon, he arrives at the automatic brushes while Don Lino suddenly gets stuck in them, and he attempts to get out of them, but he is unable to do so because of his size. Oscar slowly rolls across the floor for a moment and then he quickly goes back to the control tower where he begins pulling many switches that control the automatic brushes, and he uses them to subdue and trap Don Lino in them. He continues to pull the many switches for a moment, and then he finally manages to subdue and trap Don Lino in the automatic brushes.
Right after Don Lino has been subdued and trapped in the automatic brushes, he attempts to get out of them, but he was unable to do so because of his size, and he has been subdued and trapped in the automatic brushes while he was met face to face with Lenny who is still trapped in the whale clamping device by accident. Also, Teresa is still tied up in the dental floss rope by accident while she is now right between Lenny and Don Lino as well.
The massive chase between Oscar and Don Lino has ended, and just as the red whirling lights stopped and the emergency alarms stopped going off, Oscar began to feel very exhausted from the massive chase just as he took a deep breath and he was now safe since the ensuing chaos was now finally over. Also, he suddenly saw Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina are still trapped inside the bubbles, and he noticed that they were now safe from the ensuing chaos besides him.
"Okay! Somebody needs to get us out of these bubbles! TODAY!" said Angie from inside the bubble she's trapped in.
Oscar popped the bubbles his three best friends are trapped in, and he quickly catches Angie in his fins while Nelson and Sabrina fall down right on his both sides. Oscar smiled at them while they smiled back at him, and he proceeds to apologize to them for hurting them so much when he began acting so irrationally and letting his own selfishness get the best of him right after he told his great white lie just as the everybody began cheering for him for managing to subdue and trap Don Lino as well as trapping Lenny and Teresa which was just an accident.
"Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina, I'm…I'm…" said Oscar just as he tried to apologize to Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina, but Katie Current suddenly interrupted him and shoved her microphone in his face.
"This is Katie Current with an exclusive news story." Katie Current announced. "And this latest news story is so amazing! It really is." She pushed Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina out of the way. "The Sharkslayer has done it again! This time, luring three great white sharks into his death-trap of hygiene at the Whale Wash."
Suddenly, the large crowd began approaching Oscar and they all cheered for him for being the Sharkslayer while Oscar began protesting, and his three best frends ended up getting pushed back by them while Sykes watched the whole thing along with his two henchmen. Soon, some of the crowd picked up Oscar who kept protesting, and he also attempted to ignore them cheering for him.
"Oscar, you are the somebody that everybody wants to be!" Katie Current continued. "You've managed to get on the top of the food chain and surpassed the great whites. Tell everybody how it feels to be you!"
While Oscar is being cheered by everybody, his three best friends are still very disappointed in him for lying to everybody that he was a Sharkslayer in order to become rich and famous. They've been hoping that Oscar would somehow come to his senses and would understand that can no longer live a lie, and they were very surprised upon learning that he ended his relationship with Lola, but upon seeing him being cheered by everybody, they began leaving in anger and disappointment just as they believe that he will continue to live a lie and will have no choice but to end their friendship with him. Oscar suddenly saw them leaving, and he desperately began calling out for them just as he continued to ignore the cheering crowd.
"Angie! Nelson! Sabrina! Wait!" Oscar called out. "Look, it's…it's not what you think! I'm still not gonna do…Please, come back!"
"Oscar, please get me out of here! Quick!" said Lenny. "And get Teresa out of the dental floss too! We need to get a head start so we can get as far away as possible!"
"Lenny, wait a minute!" said Teresa. "You're thinking about getting as far away as possible along with me?! What about the thing you've been thinking about from before, huh?! I know I'm thinking about doing it, and you should do the same, remember?"
Don Lino stared at Lenny and Teresa. "Look what you've done to them!"
"What?! No! Lino, this is all a big misunderstanding!" exclaimed Oscar just as he tried to reason with Don Lino. "If you would just let me explain about all of this and…" Don Lino suddenly interrupts him.
"No! I'm not listening to a word you gotta say to me!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"But Pop, you gotta listen to what he's trying to say!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Daddy, let him explain all about this!" exclaimed Teresa.
"Be quiet!" exclaimed Don Lino. "I'm not listening to what you two got to say, and I'm not listening to what the Sharkslayer has got to say either! You two stay out of this and you two are in big trouble as it is!"
Lenny groaned in anger. "You always do that! You would never wanna listen to us anyway, and that's the whole problem!"
"Oh, you have got to be kidding!" said Teresa angrily.
"Sharkslayer, over here!" Katie Current called out just as she pointed her microphone to Oscar.
Everybody continued cheering for Oscar, and while they do so, Lenny and Teresa are very upset that Don Lino refused to listen to them and Oscar at all since he is still want revenge on him, and they both wish that he would just listen to them and Oscar that the whole thing isn't what he thinks it is. Also, they begin to notice that his scam has begin to spiral control, and they realize that it's time for Oscar to do the right thing and tell everybody the truth and they also realize that it would get Don Lino to listen to them and Oscar about the whole thing since he deserves to know the truth as well.
"Oscar!" whispered Lenny and Teresa.
"Huh?" asked Oscar just as he turned to Lenny and Teresa.
"It's your cue! It's time for you to tell everybody the truth!" whispered Lenny. "Tell them that it was all a lie, and Pop needs to know about it too. It's a good thing you've realized that you can't be a fake any longer, and do the right thing right now!"
"This is going way too far, and just tell the truth already!" whispered Teresa. "You've just realized that you can't continue carrying out your huge scam any longer, and that's a good thing. So, since you've realized it, this is the perfect time to do the right thing!"
Oscar stared at Lenny and Teresa for a moment, and then he nodded at them just as he realized that it was time for him to tell the truth which would also get Don Lino to listen to him and them about the whole thing. He then turned back to everybody who kept cheering for him, and he couldn't take it anymore since he understands that he can no longer live a lie since it was very wrong and had serious consequences. He has realized his mistakes and seen the error of his ways, and he finally does the right thing and tells the truth and he doesn't want to lose his longtime friendship with Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina all because of it since he cares about them very much.
"Alright, everybody, listen to me! JUST STOP!" exclaimed Oscar. He then got out of some of the crowd's grasp and swam high up. "I AM NOT A REAL SHARKSLAYER!"
Once Oscar had finally told the truth, everybody stopped cheering for him, and they all suddenly became filled with complete shock and confusion upon learning that Oscar was never actually a Sharkslayer in the first place while Sykes became very amazed. Also, the whole reef became filled with silence at the confession, and everybody couldn't believe that Oscar has been lying about being a Sharkslayer the whole time, and they all honestly thought that he was actually a hero who would defend them from the threat of the sharks since they have been terrorized by them for so long.
Oscar's three best friends continued to leave, but upon hearing him telling everybody the truth, they quickly turned themselves around, and the are very amazed that he has finally did the right thing just as they realized that he has came to his senses and understand that he can no longer live a lie since it's no way for anybody to live. The two siblings became very proud of him for finally telling the truth, and Don Lino's expression suddenly became filled with shock and confusion just like everybody else.
"I lied." said Oscar.
"What did you just say?" asked Don Lino.
"I never actually killed a shark and I made it all up," said Oscar. "It was all a lie from the start and the Sharkslayer isn't actually who I am anyway. Look, this whole thing started 'cause I've been made fun of by my classmates for looking up to my father's job as a tongue scrubber when I was a little kid, and I've always wanted to be special. I honestly thought that taking credit for something I didn't do would make my dreams come true, but I didn't even notice the consequences there would be. What I did was very wrong, this is all a huge mistake, and I'm sorry I lied to all of you that I was a Sharkslayer and I regret it so much."
Everybody stared at Oscar in complete surprise for a moment just as they still couldn't believe that they've been lying to them the whole time, and upon hearing him regret on lying about killing a shark and his sincere apology to all of them as well as how he was being honest with them by trapping Don Lino for real and learned the hard way, they quickly forgive him since it was a mistake for anybody to take credit for killing a shark since it has serious consequences and nobody wouldn't even dare to take on a shark since they're too scared to do so.
Also, while they all forgive Oscar for his lie, they are filled with fear because right after they found out that Oscar has lied about killing a shark the whole time, they begin to think that they will have to live in fear of the great white shark mafia like they've always had in the past. Upon seeing them being filled with fear while they forgive him, Oscar stared at all of them for a moment, and guessed that everybody would have to live in fear of the sharks again just as he became filled with surprise.
"Also, I am not a real financial advisor!" exclaimed Crazy Joe just as he shed tears.
"Okay, then," said Oscar awkwardly. He then turned to Don Lino just as he cleared his throat. "Look, Lino, it was an anchor that killed Frankie. I never had anything to do with it, and neither did Lenny or Teresa. None of us were responsible for his death, and his death was only just an accident."
"Pop, you really need to listen to this, and you're not gonna believe this at all." said Teresa. "Just listen to this, okay? Look, Oscar was never actually a Sharkslayer in the first place, and he only just said it so he could become special. He shouldn't have taken credit for his death without thinking of the consequences it has and he really regrets it."
"Well, if what you just explained to me is very true, then why did you two swam away from home in the first place?" asked Don Lino. "That's something I would like to know."
"'Cause you always wanted me to be just like Frankie." replied Lenny. "And you always wanted Teresa to encourage me to be just like him. I wish you would just accept me for who I am just like Teresa and Mom did instead of questioning who I am, and I'll never be the shark you want me to be."
"What is your problem?" asked Oscar. "There's nothing wrong with him being so different from the other sharks, and he is his own person. Everybody is their own person. So your son Lenny likes to eat fruits and vegetables as well as meatless products. So his best friend is a fish. So he likes to dress up like a dolphin. SO WHAT?!" He then turns to Lenny and gently rubs him on his head. "Everybody loves him just the way he is." He then turned to Teresa and gently rubbed her cheek. "And your daughter Teresa loves him just the way he is too, and she's also a best friend of mine. Why can't you do the same?"
"Daddy, you should really accept Lenny for who he is rather than always expecting him to be just like Frankie." said Teresa. "Oscar is absolutely right, and he, me, Mom, and everybody else has accepted him for who he is already. It's for the best that you did the same thing. Also…I've been trying to tell you this from before. Even though most sharks in the ocean are aggressive, not all of them are like that 'cause most of them are gentle just like Lenny and me. I've been trying to tell you that from before, but you wouldn't listen. You really need to know that, and you need to understand that Lenny is already perfect just the way he is." Don Lino became filled with pure guilt and regret for his own actions.
"Don Lino, you can't expect Lenny to be just like Frankie 'cause he is just himself." explained Oscar. "And it's a huge mistake. Also, I've made some serious mistakes too, and the mistakes we've both made are very similar. I've eventually learned the hard way when I was living a lie." Don Lino became even more guilty and regretful than ever. "So, please don't make the same mistake that I did, and it was without listening to my heart instead of my head. I didn't even know what I had until I lost it, and I didn't even notice that I was already special in my own way."
Unbeknownst to Oscar, his three best friends began swimming right towards him, and they are very amazed by how he has regretted on lying to everybody for killing a shark and sincerely apologized to them, and how he has admitted his own mistakes and came back to reality right after he has learned from his own mistakes and saw the error of his ways. Lenny and Teresa both stare at Don Lino with very hopeful expressions that he would learn from his own mistakes just like already did, and he began to feel even more guilty and remorseful, and he eventually realizes it was very wrong for him to question Lenny for who he is and question Teresa for always taking Lenny side just as he feel very regretful for his own actions and decides to make things right with them for how he has been behaving towards them lately while he began shedding tears.
"Will you please get me out of this?" asked Don Lino. "So I could hug my two kids and tell them that I'm sorry?"
Lenny smiled at Don Lino just as he began shedding tears of joy. "Pop!"
Teresa smiled at Don Lino just as she began shedding tears of joy. "Daddy!"
Oscar smiled and he hit a red button at the control tower, and it quickly released Lenny from the whale clamping device and quickly released Don Lino from the automatic brushes at the same time. Also, Oscar swims up to Teresa and he quickly unties her from the dental floss rope, and the two siblings proceed to reconcile with their father thanks to Oscar's help. But before they could do so, the two siblings show Oscar their gratitude for helping their father understand that Lenny is his own person no matter what, and help him learn from his own mistakes and see the error of his ways. Also, Oscar still wants to apologize to his three best friends for acting so selfish when he became a complete fake.
"Oscar, you got Pop to finally understand that I'm already perfect just the way I am," said Lenny. "Oh, we're so glad that he finally understands that. Thank you very much, and we appreciate it so much."
"You're welcome, Lenny and Teresa. You're welcome." said Oscar. "Also, thank you very much for helping me out with understanding that I can't continue living a lie and I shouldn't have taken credit for killing your brother Frankie without realizing the serious consequences it has in the first place, and helped me realize that I should accept myself for who I am. Oh, and I really still need to apologize to Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina for all of this somehow...and I hope they'll forgive me."
"Don't worry," said Teresa. "You were able to apologize to everybody for lying to them about being the Sharkslayer and, and we're sure that you're able to apologize to them for all of this. We know you can do it, Oscar."
"Alright," said Oscar. "Also, I'm so glad that you became best friends with you two, and you two are the best friends that anybody could ever ask for."
"We're glad we've become best friends with you too, Oscar, and it's one of the best things that has ever happened to us." said Lenny. "Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to make things right with Pop since he has finally realized that I'm already perfect just the way I am."
Oscar smiled at Lenny and Teresa just as he showed his gratitude for helping him out with realizing that he can't continue carrying out his huge scam since it has caused more harm than good, and he should appreciate what he already had and listen to his heart instead of his head rather than taking them for granted and let his own insecurities get the best of him. Lenny and Teresa smiled at Oscar just as they showed his gratitude for helping them out with getting things straightened out with their father by helping him realize that Lenny is his own person and know that there are most sharks in the ocean who are gentle just like they are.
Lenny warmly embraces Oscar and he warmly embraces him back, Teresa gives him a gentle kiss on his head and he chuckles, and then he swims away while they turn to Don Lino who smiles at them, and they both smile back at him. He proceeds to apologize to Lenny and Teresa for his behavior towards them lately and make things up with them, and they swam up to each other and reconcile with each other just as Don Lino finally accepts Lenny for who he is.
"Oh, come here, you two." said Don Lino. He then warmly embraced Lenny and Teresa while they warmly embraced him back. "I love you, son. No matter what you eat or how you dress."
"I love you too, Pop." said Lenny.
"Don Lino then turned to Teresa. "And I love you too, Teresa. My little sweetie pie."
"I love you too, Daddy." said Teresa.
"Oh, I am so sorry, you two." said Don Lino. "For everything that has happened between us, and I owe the same apology to your mother and she was absolutely right as well. I was so wrong. Can you two ever forgive me for all of this?"
"Pop, we forgive you for everything." said Lenny.
"And we accept your apology." said Teresa.
"Well, I hope that your mother will be able to forgive me since I didn't listen to her either." said Don Lino.
"Mom will forgive you for all of this, Pop. We are sure that she will." said Lenny.
"You're absolutely right." said Don Lino. "Oh, and by the way, I got some good news. Your mother has successfully recovered from leukemia and she'll be returning home in a few weeks."
"Well, it's wonderful that Mom is now all better, and we've missed her so much and we can't wait to see her again." said Lenny.
Don Lino nodded his head. "When she returns home, I'll apologize to her for everything and she will be able to forgive me. And I'll also inform her that I've apologized to you two and that you have forgiven me for everything. Also, since I've finally realized that I love Lenny just the way he is and that there are most sharks in the ocean who are friendly just like you two, things are gonna improve for our family back at home, and one of those changes is that the Don's own kids decide whether if they want to succeed their parent as the new Don or they could make their own decision to do something else. Also, things are gonna change for the other mafias as well. I promise."
Oscar watched Lenny and Teresa reconcile with Don Lino and forgive him while Teresa gives him a kiss on a cheek, and he still wishes that he could somehow make things up with Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina and apologize to them for acting so selfish when he allowed his great white lie go to his head and didn't appreciate what he already had without even noticing that he was living the good life already as well as allowing himself to be used by Lola when he was living a lie and getting themselves kidnapped by Don Lino which has been arranged by her all because the end of their relationship which was so petty to do so.
"Oscar?" asked Angie.
Oscar suddenly turned himself around. "Angie? Nelson? Sabrina? He saw Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina swimming right towards him, and he noticed that they were smiling at him for finally doing the right thing and telling everybody the truth as well as helping Lenny and Teresa reconcile with their father Don Lino. He smiled back at them and swam up to them. "Oh, guyd. I wish I knew what you've been saying to me now what I knew then from way before what you've been saying to me. I mean...I wish you knew what I've been learning from my very own...what I knew from my very own...before all of this has…" Crazy Joe suddenly interrupts him.
"YOU'RE BLOWING YOUR BIG CHANCE, MAN!" exclaimed Crazy Joe. "SAY WHAT YOU'RE GONNA SAY TO THEM, OSCAR!"
"Mind your business, alright, Crazy Joe?! This moment is so emotional...and it's full of pressure!" snapped Oscar. " He turns back to Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina. "What I'm trying to say is that…I just realized that I didn't need to live at the top of the reef, and I've decided to give up my lifelong dreams of living a life of luxury. Everything I ever wanted...was right in front of me the whole time."
"Wait a minute. You're giving up your dreams?" asked Angie. "Being rich and famous is always what you wanted to be right after what you've been through during childhood, and it's all you've dreamed about. Well, what about being a somebody? Do you still wanna be that?"
"Well, of course." said Oscar. "But I've just learned that being rich and famous wasn't really the answer 'cause it's really about being yourself and having best friends who would be there for you and support you. I've also learned that being a nobody really means not having anybody who would support you and be there for you, and I realized that I'm a nobody without you guys."
"Oscar…is what you are saying is true?" asked Angie.
Oscar nodded his head yes. "I no longer want to live the new life that I got from my own lie 'cause living a lie is no way for anybody to live and nothing good came from it, and I've decided to stop living a lie by doing the right thing and telling everybody the truth so I could go back to the old life that I used to have. My old life was much more fun than my new life, and I already had a great life before I lied to everybody."
"Well, it was a good thing that you did the right thing and told everybody the truth." said Nelson.
"And it was a good thing that you've realized that you can no longer live a lie since it's very wrong." said Sabrina.
"Yes." said Oscar. "Look, we've been best friends for a very long time, and becoming best friends with you guys was the best things that has ever happened to me, and I don't wanna lose that friendship with you guys all because of becoming a fake. I just don't want it to end."
"Oscar, we honestly didn't want our friendship with you to end either." said Angie. "But it almost had to come to an end if you continued pretending to be something you're not. We've been thinking about ending our friendship with you if you continue being a complete charlatan. But it looks like we won't have to end our friendship with you after all right after you told the truth."
"I had to tell the truth 'cause my scam was going too far and I can't go on doing it any longer." said Oscar. "And you guys were absolutely right about those things you said about me last night. I was a joke and that was the truth, the truth hurts but lies are worse. I already apologized to everybody and Don Lino for lying about being the Sharkslayer, and I owe you guys the same apology for all of this. I didn't really mean to hurt you guys so much, and I'm really sorry for taking you for granted and didn't appreciate what I already had for what I've been through during childhood. So...can you guys forgive me?"
Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina look at each other for a moment, and upon hearing Oscar sincerely apologizing to them for acting so irrationally when he allowed his lie go to his head as well as letting his own insecurities get the best of him and without even listening to his heart instead of his head, they quickly decide to forgive him and they reconcile with him.
"Oscar…we forgive you." said Angie. "We forgive you for lying to everybody about being the Sharkslayer, and we know how much you regret taking credit for something you didn't do without realizing the consequences it has and it was a huge mistake to do that. It was a good thing to realize it."
"Guys, I promise that I will never do something like that ever again." said Oscar. "From now on, I'm just gonna be myself. Oh, and I promise to start a relationship with somebody without getting to know better and I've really learned that the hard way too when I've realized that you guys were right about Lola the whole time. She was nothing but a terrible person who doesn't care about anything but money, and I broke up with her."
"You did the right thing, and you had to break up with her 'cause she wasn't what you think she was." said Nelson.
"She only loved you 'cause you were the Sharkslayer and she never actually loved you for who you are anyway." said Sabrina.
"We tried to tell you that there was something fishy about her, but you didn't listen." said Angie.
"I'm really sorry that I didn't listen to you about Lola." said Oscar. "And I should've listened when you were trying to warn me about her. Oh, and I'm really sorry that she almost had you eaten by Don Lino all 'cause I broke up with her."
"Oh, it's alright, Oscar." asked Angie. "Also, when we got kidnapped by Lino all 'cause of Lola being unable to accept the end of a relationship, is it true that you begin feeling the same way about me right after I told you that I've always had...you know...that I've always been in love with you?"
"Well, actually the answer is…yes." said Oscar. "Right after you told me that I've always had feelings for you when I helped you out with making a new project for art class, I've realized that I do have feelings for you. I honestly thought I have feelings for Lola, but it turns out that I have feelings for you the whole time. So, Angie I...I...I love you."
"I love you too, Oscar." said Angie.
"Oscar, we have always been best friends with you since we used to be little kids, and we will always be." said Nelson.
"That's right." said Sabrina. "We've always valued your friendship with us while you did the same thing, and we'll always be best friends no matter what."
Then, Oscar and his three best friends smile at each other just as Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina reconcile with Oscar and forgive him for lying to everybody as well as taking them for granted by letting his own insecurities get the best of him, and for not listening to them about his relationship with Lola who was only interested in him for his money and fame. Also, Oscar and Angie began staring at each other with lovestruck expressions just as they confess their love for each other, and Crazy Joe suddenly approaches them and he pulls out his puppets and he began making kissing noises with them to encourage them to kiss, much to Oscar's embarrassment while Angie quickly shrugs off the embarrassment and Nelson and Sabrina finds the embarrassment a little hilarious.
"Crazy Joe, you're not helping!" said Oscar. He then chuckled.
Angie giggled. "Oh, come here, you big dumb, dummy head!"
Angie quickly grabs Oscar and she gives him a passionate and loving kiss, and Oscar quickly returns the kiss. Oscar and Angie soon became a romantic couple while Nelson and Sabrina became filled with delight, and the large crowd cheered for them.
Upon seeing Oscar and Angie become a romantic couple along with Sabrina in delight, Nelson began staring at Sabrina with a lovestruck expression, and he finally overcomes his shyness and decides to confess his love for Sabrina just as he took a deep breath.
"Um…Sabrina? Can I tell you something?" asked Nelson. "Well...you see..I have..I have always been
"Well…you know…I have always been…and…and you've always been…" said Nelson just as he stammered.
Sabrina suddenly realizes what Nelson is about to say to her and quickly covers his mouth which caused him to become greatly surprised. "Nelson, I already know what you're gonna say, and it's that you've always been in love with me and I've always been the girl of your dreams." She then removed her fin from Nelson's mouth.
"Wait a minute. You already knew that?" asked Nelson. Sabrina nodded her head yes. "But how did you know anyway?"
"'Cause…'Cause…I found out when you had that conversation with Angie in private last night." said Sabrina. "Look, I know it was wrong to eavesdrop on others, but I needed to learn who was my secret admirer was and it turned out to be you the whole time. I really love those gifts you sent me lately, and it was really kind of you to think that I am a very beautiful golden girl with a heart of gold, and since I've learned those things…I've…I've…I've realized that I feel the same way about you."
"Sabrina…is what you're saying to me right now true?" asked Nelson. Sabrina nodded her head. "Well, would you be my golden girl?"
"Nelson…the answer is…yes." said Sabrina. "I will be your golden girl for as long as you want."
"And I would be your man as long as you want too." said Nelson. "Sabrina, you are really a very beautiful golden girl with a heart of gold and you have always been the girl of my dreams, and I love you."
"I love you too, Nelson." said Sabrina.
Nelson and Sabrina then stare at each other with very lovestruck expressions just as they confess their love for each other, and they share a passionate and loving kiss with each other and become a romantic couple while everybody cheered for them. Oscar and Angie soon stopped kissing, and they both noticed Nelson and Sabrina become a couple just like they already did, much to their delight. Soon, Nelson and Sabrina stopped kissing, and they both notice Oscar and Angie smiling at them and they smile back at them.
Oscar gives Angie her necklace back, gives Nelson is RX-series AquaPad back, and gives Sabrina her Destiny's Child poster back which they are to show how much he has always valued his friendship with them very much, and they all warmly embrace each other just as Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina continued to forgive Oscar for his great white lie while everybody kept cheering. Also, Sykes sheds a single tear upon seeing them reconcile with each other and Oscar making things right with Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina since he has always knew that they have been best friends for a very long time, and the quickly turned to Ernie and Bernie and began expressing how much he appreciated having them to work for him.
"Well, I never actually told you two this, but you two are actually the best henchmen that anybody could ever ask for." said Sykes. "C'mon let;s have a group hug." He attempts to hug Ernie and Bernie, but he accidentally gets zapped by his stingers. "Ow! Hey!"
"Sorry about that, Sykes." said Ernie.
"We can try it again. C'mon, mon, don't be afraid." said Bernie.
"Forget about it!" said Sykes. "The moment is now gone!"
Oscar, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina continued to warmly embrace each other, and Oscar suddenly gets an idea and he decides to make a truce with Don Lino so Southside Reef would make peace with the sharks and wouldn't have live in fear of them ever again since they have been terrorized by them for so long. Upon seeing how everybody became filled with fear that they will have to deal with being terrorized by them again, he decides that things must change for the better by making a truce with Don Lino.
"Hey, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina, there's something I gotta do." said Oscar. "I need to tell Don Lino that things need to change, and it can be fish and sharks could make peace with each other. I'm gonna do it right now. Let's go, guys."
Oscar then swims up to Don Lino as well as Lenny and Teresa along with Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina, and he proceeds to make a truce with him so peace will be brought to the reef which will be fish and sharks burying the hatchet. Don Lino, Lenny, and Teresa continued warmly embracing each other until they noticed Oscar, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina swim up to them, and they stare at them in surprise while Don Lino put his fins around Lenny and Teresa, and Teresa put her head on his shoulder.
Oscar then swims up to Don Lino along with Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina to make a truce with him and somehow convince him that things need to change for the better right after he finally did the right thing and told everybody the truth that the Sharkslayer was actually a con as well as helping him out with realizing that Lenny is already perfect just the way he is and shouldn't expect him to be a killer just like Frankie and shouldn't expect Teresa to encourage Lenny to be a killer just like Frankie as well as that he shouldn't make the same mistakes just like he did when he lied about killing Frankie which he never did in the first place without realizing the consequences it has and has caused more harm than good.
"Uh…Don Lino? Are we cool now?" asked Oscar. "You know, you wanna make a truce? Do you agree with the idea that things need to change around here, and it could be fish and sharks getting along with each other so everybody could be safe and would be able to swim around the streets. Even without the "AAAAAH!" you know what I mean. Well, what do you say?"
Upon hearing Oscar's idea that they should make a truce so the reef would make peace with the Five Families in order to make things change for the better, he thinks abot it for a moment, and then he quickly decides to do so right after he has learned from his own mistakes and saw the error of his ways just like Oscar did.
"Yeah." said Don Lino. "We're cool, and let's make a truce and I agree with you. You're right, things really gotta change. From now on, fish and sharks will bury the hatchet, and my mafia and I will never bring fear to the reef ever again and that goes for the other mafias of the Five Families. So...what's really your name anyway?"
"My name is Oscar." said Oscar.
"Oscar, I'm really sorry for what I tried to do." said Don Lino.
"That's alright, Lino. I forgive you." said Oscar. "We all forgive you. So truce?"
"Truce." said Don Lino.
Oscar and Don Lino then shake each other's fins just as they make a truce with each other, and everybody in Southside Reef became filled with delight that things will be changing for the better by having fish and sharks making peace with each other and they wouldn't have to live in the fear of the sharks ever again. Oscar and Don Lino then stop shaking each other's fins, and Oscar has managed to bring peace to the reef where fish and sharks can get along with each other from now on, and it makes him a true hero rather than the Sharkslayer. Katie Current then swims up to Oscar along with the fish cameraman, and she proceeds to ask him what he will do next.
"Oscar, excuse me! Can I ask you some questions?" asked Katie Current. "Well, since you have confessed that you were never really the Sharkslayer, the only consequences you'll be facing is having your money and fame taken away from you. You've lost everything that you have lost so hard to achieve, and you've manage to make a truce with the leader of the great white shark mafia Don Edward Lino and made an agreement with him that things must change for the better for everybody which is gonna be fish and sharks making peace with each other. Bringing peace to the reef really makes you a true hero after all. So, tell me, what's next for you?"
Oscar became very thoughtful about what he will do next since he is no longer rich and famous right after he did the right thing and told everybody the truth as well as managing to make a truce with Don Lino and bringing peace to the reef where fish and sharks can get along with each other which makes him a true hero, and he smiles and decides that he will continue working at the Whale Wash just like he usually has been doing before he told everybody his great white lie, and he honestly enjoys being a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash and it was something he was really good at the whole time. Also, he has eventually learned to let go of his insecurities, has learned to appreciate what he already had and accept himself for who he is, and he has become more optimistic, humble, and confident in the process.
