Chapter 11, The war between two Heroes

By the time Naruto awoke, he knows that he's already pretty late…

How so?

Well, the fact he could hear the loud sounds of people taking weapon in their arms, their sharp, yet slightly frantic movement, or simply the generals scream to calm down the masses.

Fortunately, despite he's late… he's not that late.

"Yakumo… how many papers do you bring in this mission?"

Uncaring of the two pairs of eyes watching him (three if he includes Luka that also just awake and currently rubbing her eyes cutely) the boy stood from his bedding with Luka and quickly disrobe all of his attire until he's only using short.

"Dear, what ar-"

Luka's words got cut off because at quick rate, Naruto write something into the air in front of him using his fingertip. And when he's done, he snaps his fingers…

Water and wind swirled around him, which lasted for no longer than five seconds. And after everything's done, he came out from it, clean and dry… except his hairs that's still pretty damp…

Right after the darkness covers the room, Kurenai wasted no time to take out her kunai and pointing the weapon toward the demon. Though despite Luka beside her seems want to follow her example at first, in the end she chose to only place her hand in her weapon's holder after seeing her boyfriend still calm despite the situation.

Jealousy in her eyes though? It's there, and Naruto know that he'll face another punishment later in the future.

"Oh my, I didn't see you there, Kurenai-sensei~ what are you doing near my Naruto? Are you going to seal his chakra too? Destroy his dream just like what you've done to us after you gain all of his trust?"

"I…I…"

Kurenai is speechless. The voice may be slightly different, but seeing the face of her former student sneering at her… it hurt. And it shown in in her trembling hand.

"Okay… that's enough"

The darkness gone just like that after Naruto himself said that single sentence. Though, the creature called Ido in question is still behind him, clinging to him while pouting after he stopped her fun.

And Kurenai broke free from her depressing thought after she heard his voice.

"Kurenai-san, Yakumo-chan, Ido-chan. It's my plan to fix your relationship in this mission… however, because there hadn't enough time for me to initiate it, we're going to talk about this after everything's here clear, alright?"

"What!? Why would I!?"

"Yeah! Why would I forgive that stupid teacher after what she had done to me!?"

When demon screamed at you… you'll probably tremble in fear.

But Naruto, he simply let a small smile gently out when a demon and her vessel screaming at him… in his eyes, they're like a child that he just told to get along with their bully.

Of course, from the edge of his eyes, he can see Kurenai that has a slight tear in her eyes…

Yes, among these three, Kurenai is the one wants to get along the most.

But she can't… she didn't have the heart to did it because her heart filled with guilt after what she had done to Yakumo. However, in her eyes, Yakumo is always… always will be her first student.

"Hate. Guilt. Sadness… they eat… they'll eat your heart, piece by piece, and before you know it, it will take over. I know, because I was there once"

Kurenai, Luka, Yakumo, Ido, and even Kyuubi sat there… hearing the boy they trust the most saying this.

"Of course, I'm not telling you to release all of your hate at once, it's just impossible… but at least, can you just sit along, tell each other how you feel, why you're angry. Or, for Kurenai-san, tell them the reason why you did your action in the past"

Gently, the boy took Ido's hand on his chest and walk forward… and when he's near Kurenai, he took her hand too with his other hand and clasping his hands together so their hands in his hands touching each other.

There's some struggle from Ido, but when he narrowed his eyes at her, she relented… while pouting.

Of course, he also took a small glance at Yakumo, and knowing what he wanted, she also relent and let her hand touch Ido's and Kurenai's.

With a smile, Naruto released his hands and let the trio standing there, staring at each other, of course, with some distrust from Yakumo and Ido…

However, when her troop began to whispering with each other, in the end Mei snapped her attention to the side… and loo to behold, Naruto is there for real, looking at her with one eyebrow raised, as if confused by her antic.

"N-Naruto, what're you doing here?"

It's bad to have a private conversation like this on top of a stage… but really, she's so shocked about his appearance that she can't help but to ask that.

In the first place, how can he climb the stage just like that!?

"Well, I was finished with my plans to fight Yagura, but when I came out, I see that you're standing still here… are you having a stage fright?"

Her face burn with red when some of her troops laughed when they heard the boy asked that to her.

"I…I am not! I was just thinking what speech could I give to them…"

Gently, the boy takes off his attention from her to her troop, seemingly to see what she's seeing.

An army full of scared people.

"… So, may I have this moment?"

Among all of his words, Mei didn't expect that at all.

"W-What? What do you mean, Naruto?"

By the time she asked that, he already walked forward a little bit… giving her only a sight of his back.

"What I mean is…"

"… SILENT!"

People, birds, small animal… even winds itself seemingly become silent after the boy ordered it with his charismatic voice alone.

And no one… no one can't help but to give all of their attention to him after that.

"Is this it? Months… even years the fight you have fought, and yet you people tremble just because of their numbers?"

Silence… despite his painful words… despite his young-looking age, no one could stare him in the eyes and tell him that they're indeed scared.

"Then go… go as far as you can from here. Go… and spat in your friend's grave… in your family's dead body... is that what you want?"

Here, everyone can only throw away their face… fists trembling in a mix of both fear and sadness.

His words, it hit them right dead on the center.

"I'll give you all ten seconds! GO or fight to death with me!"

By now… there's no one who dare to step out from Naruto's sight. After all, just like what he said, if they dare to run away, then it would be no different than spitting in their family's graves… spitting in their sacrifices…

"Good, no one's kitty here I see… Now hear me out, I don't have a fucking speech for you! But I have a plan! Plan that will make us a winner! Hear me out or I'll fucking rip your ears from their socket!"

As everyone's having wide eyes from the boy's sudden different in language behind him, Mei Terumi laughs gently with small tears in her eyes…

She's seeing a shadow of Yagura behind Naruto… the real Yagura… berating people while giving a plan to them… and she's sure, everyone could see this too.

On top of their simple wall, Mei approach Naruto that's currently staring into the horizon she knows is the location Yagura and his minion will come from.

Beside him, his friend, the one with pink kimono is sitting, painting something… dark.

"Naruto-kun… that was a great speech, everyone is moved by your words"

"Huh…"

Confused, Naruto turn around and gave her his most clueless face.

"… Speech? What speech?"

Yeah, it was never a speech in his eyes… speech is what he did for Kurenai, Yakumo and Ido. As for what he said Mei's army? It was a slap. Slap to woke them up from their stupid fear.

"Fufu, nothing… just know that I'm still grateful for it"

"Mhm, alright…"

Once again, he returns his attention to the water where they will do their battle. This time, he specifically staring into her army that's currently spreading some kind of paper seals across the water itself.

"When all paper seals in place, tell everyone to get back to the island, get the thunder bow and shot when I give them the signal…"

"Alright…"

With a simple sign of her fingers, Mei told the shadow ninja behind her to spread his words to everyone.

Naruto's plan is pretty simple, but highly effective… of course, there's three key components that is his newly created seals.

One seal is a seal which let liquid reject any insertion of chakra to the body… it was this kind of seal that's currently being distributed by her ninjas down there.

Of course, the idea is to activate the seals when the enemy is close enough to be shot down, yet still far enough that they won't have any time to counter attack. When the seals activate, their enemies won't be able to walk on the water and will be forced to swim… of course, there's no way they would be able to use water jutsu too by that point because of the seals.

Second seal is a kind of seal that he already placed in the bows her army will equip later… simply said, it'll let any arrow have electric when they're shoot.

Third seal… well, he is yet to say it to her or her army, but he said it will be his signal for all-out attack.

Why he hasn't told anyone, it's probably because the mole is yet to be caught.

"Naruto, my army already know about your first seal and second seal… aren't you afraid that Yagura heard about this and chose not to come from this way?"

"Mnn, nah… my first seal is a lie… it doesn't make the sea water reject chakra. It actually will do nothing, like… just to make Yagura's army stiff in their toes"

"What?"

As the boy's saying this, he's folding his arms in front of his chest. And hidden from anyone else, except her, with one of his fingers, he's pointing to somewhere.

"I see, I understand Naruto-kun… so the plan is to make Yagura exceed more energy by using longer route, and when they're in the open, shoot them with thunder bow, is that right?"

"Yep, I mean… let's just get real here, seals that disturb chakra? That's too advance, even for me"

Amused, Mei let her palm cover her lady-like titter, while her other palm giving signal to her shadow… and the signal is…

[Let the spy report back to Yagura, after they did… fucking kill him]

Yes… she's that angry to the spy.

After everything is said and done, gently, Mei scooped the boy in a warm hug from behind, her hands locking his so he can't struggle, while her face is buried into his soft hairs.

Maybe too shy for it, the boy merely stammered after she said this directly to him, and as he's becoming this cute, Mei let small laugh out from her lips as she keeps snuggling him like some sort of teddy bear from behind.

After everything's done… she'll make sure to get closer to him…

After all, cute boy like really need a womanly figure in his life, not a girl in her teen with pink hairs, right?

Unknown to her, nearby, Yakumo already changed her brush after she broke the previous one, seeing her hugging her love.

[Sir… it is confirmed that the first seal is just a decoy so you'll take the longer route. The creator himself said this]

"I see… then I will use the normal route, dismissed…"

Yagura, a man in his mid- thirty, yet still look like a male in his teen, both from his height and from his face, close one of his eyes lazily as he's tapping the weapon on his hand while sitting in a rather tall rock.

Behind him, thousand of his ninjas, looking as menacing as they could be.

"Sir, are we going to use normal route?"

"Yes… get everyone ready, we're going to kill those people with dirty bloods"

"Sir yes sir!"

As his right-hand man went back and screaming on top of his lung, Yagura keep tapping on his weapon… a black, large club with uneven sized hooks and green flower on the larger end.

Honestly, he's rather curious just who's this 'helper' from Konoha for rebel's army.

It shouldn't be Jiraiya, because the man wouldn't help for no reason, and it would also the very first thing come out from his spy's mouth if Jiraiya is the helper, knowing his fearsome reputation.

Huh… thinking's hurt…

Let's just get this done quickly and cleanly…

As Yagura stood on top of the rock, his pink eyes flashed red and showed three tomoes for a small second.

-With Naruto-

An hour or so later, Naruto feel it, just like everyone in the battlefield…

The coldness of damp air… the sudden thicken mist…

"It's that turtle technique…"

"Yagura is coming…"

"EVERYONE STAY IN YOUR POSITION!"

The yells of the rebel's general reverberating through the battlefield, and everyone's eyes focusing into the small shadow that slowly coming out from the mist in front of them while holding their weapons tightly…

The sound of someone's walking on water can be heard for a small second. And one shadow become two as beside the small shadow, a larger one can be seen.

Clip… clap…

in the end… after the torturous seconds, the sight of Yagura along with his right-hand man can be seen. And everyone there know that behind those two, behind those thick mist, is an army…

Clap… clap

and after he sees them… Yagura claps, slowly, while his mouth moving gently, but no sound coming out because of their distance…

of course, the man beside him act as his voice.

"NICELY DONE, REBEL! I SEE YOU'VE MADE PREPARATION FOR MY COMING… FOR THAT, LET ME SAY THIS JUST ONCE. GIVE UP… THROW DOWN YOUR WEAPON AND I'LL MAKE SURE YOUR DEATH SHALL BE THE MOST PAINLESS AS IT COULD"

Of course, only silent greet Yagura's words… after they heard Naruto's 'speech', forgot running away or throwing down their weapon, even if their legs tremble with fear, they would do no such thing.

After few more seconds and he doesn't get any answers, in the end Yagura merely shook his head in pity.

"IF THAT'S YOUR CHOICE, THEN DON'T REGRET IT, I SHALL SPEAR EVERY HE-"

As Yagura was talking and talking, Naruto had enough time to call Mei and ask her for his own 'yelling people'. And loo to behold, Mei gave him Ao for his request…

He never expected Ao of all people to be able to yell this loud~

He laughed for a small second seeing Ao with red face after he's forced to yell at the fourth Mizukage.

But not a second later, he stopped his laugh and turn serious, complete with narrowed eyes… and seeing this, Ao nodded, also becoming serious.

"STOP ALL OF THIS NONSENSE, BROTHER… THIS IS NOT YOU, WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THOSE PEOPLE WHO YOU ONCE CALLED YOUR CITIZEN IS NOW POINTING THEIR WEAPON AT YOU! WAKE UP, THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT!"

"… I SEE, YOU MUST BE THE HELPER FROM KONOHA THAT I'VE HEARD ABOUT. TO THINK YOU'LL FIGHT BESIDE THOSE PEOPLE AND DIDN'T RUN AWAY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND, AND FOR YOUR INFORMATION, I'VE NO BROTHER"

Yeah, even the rebel's army also confused just why is the boy calling Yagura of all people as his brother.

But Naruto simply shook his head here…

"DIDN'T IT HURT? TO BE REJECTED BY THOSE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE SAME PLACE AS YOU… TO BE TREATED AS AN OUTCAST, LIKE A TRASH THAT KEEP GETTING KICKED AROUND IN THE STREET… FORCED TO KEEP MOVING, KEEP LIVING WITH A FEAR OF TOMORROW… BROTHER, PLEASE… YOU ALREADY FOUGHT FOR LIVE, AND YOU'VE THE RESPECT OF THESE PEOPLE, WAKE UP! YOUR PEOPLE NEED YOU!"

There's a flinch… small it is, everyone from the rebel can see a flinch of pain from Yagura… though before their hope can be raised, Yagura suddenly smiled evilly, so large that it looks rather inhuman.

And then… he takes a step forward… at the same time, monstrous amount of chakra explodes from his short body.

"Fufufu, mwahahahaha! I see! Helper from Konoha! The jailor of the Kyuubi no kitsune! To think I will meet you in this place!"

As the Mizukage's chakra slowly mixing with the chakra of his biju, his voice become loud, mixed, and inhuman… and so, he no longer needs the help from the 'yeller' as the man himself immediately take a step backward.

Of course, after everyone heard the words from the man, they snapped their attention toward Naruto…

He's… also a Jinchuriki!?

"Ao… continue…"

"Y-Yes…"

"BROTHER! PLEASE… REMEMBER THAT DREAM YOU ONCE HAD! THE DREAM WHERE EVERYONE SEE YOU AS YOU… AS A FRIEND, AS A BROTHER, AS A LEADER! THIS IS NOT YOU!"

"SILENCEEEEEE! I SHALL PURIFY THIS WORLD FROM THE PEOPLE WITH DIRTY BLOOD! STARTING WITH YOU! UZUMAKIIIII!"

As the man screamed that with his maniacal voice, in the end, Naruto can only close his eyes in pity…

He can no longer be saved.

BOOM!

As red, crimson chakra explode from the place where Yagura once stood, now the man is no longer there… not even a sign of the three tails.

"IT WENT UNDERWATER!"

Simply, Naruto raise his right hand… and seeing this, Ao went into his general mode.

"HOLD YOUR FIRE!"

There's no time to think twice for the army, the boy may be a Jinchuriki, but he had done nothing but good thing for them. and so, they will put their trust on him once again.

"Uuuooooooohhhh!"

The enemy's yells reverberating from the sea as like a wave of tide, they're running toward them.

"Yakumo, Ido… charge your chakra…"

"Yes/Understood"

"HOLD YOUR FIRE!"

"Genjutsu: DaRkeSS WorLd!"

As Naruto himself went into several hand seals, Yakumo went into hers…

The sky and the sea itself shine at the same time, and as if the world itself is ending, the sky suddenly turn dark, with raging lightning flies overhead.

"This is just illusion! Keep go-"

Rumble!

Blue, hot lightning strike the man before he could even finish his words… turning him into a charred corpse within a second.

"RUN TO THE L-gbububu!"

Of course, not a second later, he can't even stand upright as the sea can no longer be injected with chakra.

And as the enemy's soldier slowly falling to the sea one by one, Naruto lower his hand.

"FIREEEEE!"

Thunder in the sky, sea no longer want to cooperate, and now… as the rain of electrical arrow raining over them, Yagura's army can only closing their eyes, accepting their fate.

ROAAAAAAAARRR!

Fortunately for some of them, Yagura come out from the sea in his three tails form, catching many soldiers on top of his shell and shielding them from the arrows rain.

The few that's not caught?

Well, they got hit by thunder infused arrow… and that's that.

"… Okay, that's pretty menacing"

Naruto can't help but to shivers in fear when the creature so large came out of the water, with its eyes glaring at him.

Even from this distance, it's still so large that Naruto immediately know that it's still larger than the rebel's fortress.

And yes… he's that large.

"Incoming!"

Naruto was broken free from his thought when one of the generals yelled that. Curious what did he mean by incoming, Naruto looks around.

Oh…

It seems while he's having a stare down with the three tails, the creature already threw some of the soldiers using his tails.

And now, the enemies already inside the fortress, fortunately not as many as before.

Should be enough for the rebel to face he guess.

Without any carefulness whatsoever, Naruto walks to the edge of the wall… ready to jump and face Yagura…

"Naruto! What are you planning to do?"

When he heard his name being called, Naruto turned around and see that his girlfriend and Kurenai climbed up, panting (probably fought some ninjas down there) slightly.

"Oh, Luka-chan, Kurenai-san, glad you two come… can you stay here and protect Yakumo? I'll be very grateful if you do"

"Don't stray away from my question, dear~ what. Are. You. Planning. To. Do?"

Gently, yet still very menacingly, Luka kneel down and grabbed his shoulders, her face smiling with a smile that he practically knows as (I am angry and you better don't make me even more angry).

Of course, seeing this, he immediately raises his hands in surrendering manner.

"W-Well, I'm planning to fight Yagura there… you see Luka-chan, look at that glaring eyes… he's waiting for me…"

The girl takes a look at the turtle-like creature, and indeed, he's currently glaring to this way.

Seeing this, Kurenai shielded Naruto from the creature's eyes… kunai in hand. Though anyone could see the trembling feet of hers.

"N-No, it's too dangerous… we better run, bijuu is too much for us"
