Green Isn't Your Color
One afternoon, Fluttershy was sitting quietly reading a magazine in the waiting area of the Ponyville Spa building, waiting for Rarity to arrive. In recent times, the two ponies had been making weekly visits to the spa to spend time with each other, get caught up in each other's lives, improve their friendship, etc. Of course, Fluttershy once invited her daughter to join them, but Winter Breeze declined her offer because the Icelandic filly is taking care of the animals while her mother is away. Fluttershy like to spend some time with her daughter and it comes to the point that they're forming a strong bond.
Fluttershy had been reading for a while when Rarity finally arrived.
"So sorry, Fluttershy." Rarity apologizes, wearing a peacock style and removed it from her head. "I have been late for our weekly get together...the usual."
After Rarity turns to the spa pony, she smiled and zipped away. Soon the two girls were wearing spa robes in the steam room as a spa pony dumped some hot water over some hot rocks to create steam.
"But you will not believe what happened to me." Rarity said excitedly.
"Is everything alright?" Fluttershy asked, concerned.
"Oh, it's more than alright." Rarity said. "I was on my way here, wearing my latest hat creation, when who should stop me on the street but Photo Finish!"
"Photo Finish?" Fluttershy repeats surprisingly.
The spa pony poured more hot water to make more steam, but it wasn't much longer before they had moved on to the next room for facials, hooficures, and massages. They also had their manes wrapped up in towels.
"She is the most famous fashion photographer in all of Equestria." Rarity explains as the spa pony applied some facial cream to her face and cucumber slices over her eyes. "Anywho, she saw my hat and said it absolutely marvelous!"
"What a lovely compliment." Fluttershy said, also had some facial cream on her cheeks as they moved on to getting their hooficures.
"She was so impressed that she wants to take some pictures at my shop featuring some of my clothes." Rarity said excitedly as the spa ponies gave them both horn filing, until one realized Fluttershy is a Pegasus.
"That's wonderful." Fluttershy said, giving a cute squee to show her excitement.
"D-d-d-do y-y-y-you-u-u kn-kn-know w-w-what t-t-t-his c-c-c-could m-m-mean f-f-for m-m-my f-f-fashion c-c-career?" Rarity said, her voice vibrating as she now lays on her stomach and another spa pony gave her a firm back massage while Fluttershy received a much gentler one.
"Oh Rarity, I'm so happy for you." Fluttershy said.
Then, they shifted to some mud baths.
"But I'm going to need somepony fabulous to model for me." Rarity said, wrapped in sea kelp. "Somepony with beauty. Somepony with grace. Somepony...like you?"
"Oh, goodness, I don't know." Fluttershy said, already enjoying the mud bath.
"Oh, this is such a huge opportunity." Rarity said as both of the girls have now moved on to some hoof baths. "And it would mean so much to me."
"I'm flattered, really." Fluttershy said.
"Nopony is going to have your elegance and poise." Rarity said as they were now reclining on some lounge chairs.
Rarity had her mane tied up while Fluttershy left her mane down.
"But..." Fluttershy tried to protest.
"Please!" Rarity said firmly.
"There has to be somepony more quali..." Fluttershy suggested, but was cut off again.
"Please!" Rarity said, now pleading.
"Somepony more comfortable in the spotlight." Fluttershy added, really making it clear that she was not up for the role.
"Please, please, pleeease!" Rarity begged, not willing to take any excuses and gave Fluttershy a pouty face and puckered her lips.
"Of, if it's that important to you." Fluttershy said reluctantly. "Of course I'll do it."
"Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" Rarity said excitedly. "You are the best friend a pony could ever have!"
It wasn't much long before their treatment was done and Fluttershy was feeling very satisfied.
"What a wonderful was to spend an afternoon." Fluttershy said with a content sigh.
"Isn't it?" Rarity replied.
"Maybe I should invite Winter next time." Fluttershy suggests. "She deserves a break for taking care of those animals while I'm gone weekly."
"Please do, and I think we should invite our friends." Rarity agrees. "Thought I was so afraid you wouldn't agree to model for me that I felt completely frazzled. I think I feel a pimple coming on. Oh! Only one solution."
Rarity then headed back inside, changed into her spa robe once more and moved the changing screen out of the way.
"The usual." Rarity announced as the two spa ponies smiled excitedly.

At the cottage, Winter Breeze is watching the animals while feeding Angel a carrot. Apparently, Angel and the animals have taken a liking to the Icelandic filly when they first met her. And now, the animals accepted her as their own and kept an eye on the Icelandic filly while Fluttershy is away for the weekly get together at the spa with Rarity. Fluttershy arrived back at the cottage, noticed her daughter is feeding the squirrels with nuts and acorns.
"Feeding our friends, sweetheart?" Fluttershy asks with a smile.
"Yes." Winter Breeze answered with a nod. "The squirrels usually get into a scuffle over the tree, but they don't anymore."
"That's because I gave them a stare while back." Fluttershy told her daughter. "Maybe I can teach you how to use it, if you like."
Winter Breeze usually didn't want to hurt the animals because of the stare, but part of her wanted to whenever they try to get into trouble. She then confirms with a nod.
"How is Rarity?" Winter Breeze asks.
"Oh, Rarity is fine, but she met a pony named Photo Finish." Fluttershy answered, leaving Winter Breeze confused. "Photo Finish is a photographer in all of Equestria and she's impressed of Rarity's hat and she wanted a model for the photos."
"Does she know who can do that?" Winter asks again.
"Actually...she pick me." Fluttershy answered.
"What?!" Winter Breeze exclaims in disbelief. "But why?"
"She thinks that I'm qualified for the fashion career." Fluttershy explains.
"But mom, you don't like being on a spotlight. And you don't like being a model." Winter Breeze protests. "Why didn't you tell her?"
"I've tried, but she keeps insisting me on the photo shoots." Fluttershy told her daughter. "Oh Winter, I wish I could spend some time with you."
"I understand that, but mom, nopony says that being a model is easy." Winter Breeze said. "And they'll miss something what's important the most."
"I know it's not easy, even for me it's not easy to stand up to somepony." Fluttershy said.
"Mom, you stood up to the full-grown dragon. And even give those three fillies an earful." Winter Breeze points out, making a valid point.
"True, but sweetheart, it's different. The reason I'm not qualified for being a model is because I don't like being on a spotlight." Fluttershy said. "But Winter, I promise you one thing. Once the photoshoot is finished, I'll come back here and spend some time with you."
"You promise?" Winter Breeze asks.
"I promise." Fluttershy answered, hugging her daughter with a smile on her face.
At the Carousel Boutique, Fluttershy was now standing on a platform as Rarity had her put on a sparkly black dress with pink feathers along with a matching headdress. Rarity was just pacing around, examining the dress which both Comet and Winter didn't like the dress.
"No offense, Rarity, but I don't think the dress compliments her." Comet said with a hum.
"Oh, and what does compliments Fluttershy, dear?" Rarity asks.
"Well, I think the dress that Fluttershy wore a while back compliment her because it shows the theme of spring." Comet explains.
"And it also inspires nature." Winter Breeze agrees. "But that dress mom is wearing doesn't bring out her elegance and poise."
"Maybe so, but Photo Finish has certain standards that must be met." Rarity said. "Hm...She's going to want to see attitude and pizazz."
"A-a-attitude and, um...pizazz." Fluttershy stuttered.
"I don't think she got any of them." Comet whispered, earned a nod from Winter Breeze with an agreement.
"More light!" Rarity called out. "It has to catch the sequins just so or the whole outfit is just a disaster."
Twilight used her magic to adjust the position and intensity of the lights so they were focused on Fluttershy to bring out the outfit. Rarity then examines the headdress.
"Oh! And the headdress needs more feathers." Rarity said, turns to Pinkie Pie. "Pinkie Pie! More feathers!"
Pinkie Pie bounced up to Fluttershy, carrying a basket of feathers in her mouth. She then tucked a few into the headdress to increase the volume before bouncing away. Fluttershy gave a discreet eye roll as the feathers adjusted into place on their own.
"And sequins! More sequins!" Rarity said.
Spike then came with a basket full of sequins and Rarity began to place them around the headdress, causing it to sparkle and making Fluttershy whimper.
"And more ribbon! Oh no! Less ribbon." Rarity said. "No! More ribbon."
Spike continued to add and remove items at a frantic pace. Fluttershy squealed at all the fussing and had an irritated glare on her face.
"Oh, the hem is completely off." Rarity said, noticed the dress. "Pincushion!"
Spike then come towards Rarity on all fours nearby with six needles sticking on his back. Rarity took four pins out of his back before shooing him away indignantly.
"Thank you all for helping me." Rarity thanked them, fixing the hem and turned to everypony else. "I'm so sorry to be short with you, but I'm...I'm just nervous."
It didn't take long for Twilight to notice the pins on Spike's back.
"Oh, doesn't that hurt?" Twilight asked, making a painful expression on her face.
"Thick scales. Can't feel a thing." Spike answered, then turns back to Rarity. "And even if I could, there is no pain that would keep me from assisting the most beautiful creature in the world."
Twilight, Comet, and Winter Breeze just made an annoyed face.
"I'm gonna tell you two a secret." Spike said in a low tone. "But you have to promise not to tell anyone."
"Let me guess, you have a crush on Rarity?" Comet inquires in annoyance which it got Spike shocked.
"How did you-"
"Your goofy look on your face gives it away." Comet interrupts while answered simply in a deadpan expression. "That and everypony knows you have a crush on Rarity."
That got Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Winter Breeze snickered a bit, knowing that Comet is right about it. Rarity was able to overhear the conversation, which it got her surprised and now realized why Spike was acting all goofy.
"Anything else you like to share with us?" Comet asks with a smirk.
"No." Spike answered in defeat.
"But just to give you a heads up, Rarity will pick up on your feelings." Comet told him.
"He's right because Rarity will figure it out sooner or later." Twilight adds with an agreement.
Spike looked down at himself. From out of nowhere, he was now wearing a t-shirt with Rarity's head in the middle of a red heart. Before Spike could reply, a mare named Photo Finish arrived.
Photo Finish had a pale light grayish cerulean fur coat with light gray mane and tail, and dark indigo eyes. She wore black sunglasses with magneta lens, a vertical black and white stripped blouse with black skirt with dark pink jewels, white stripe, and magenta stripe, and magneta neck scarf.
She also had two pony assistants behind her, wearing a white jumpsuits that had different flashy designs.
"I, Photo Finish...have arrived." Photo Finish announced boldly with a thick Austrian accent and making a few poses.
Rarity smiled excitedly.
"Let me say just say, what an honor!" Rarity said excitedly.
Photo Finish said nothing in return, walked past Rarity, and just noticed Fluttershy on the stage.
"We begin...now!" Photo Finish said, with one assistant dropping a suitcase on the floor that instantly transformed into a camera sitting on a tri-pod.
Photo Finish took a couple of photos while Fluttershy was looking rather nervous.
"Attitude and pizazz!" Rarity said to her.
"Yes! Show Photo Finish something." Photo Finish added as Fluttershy made a confident pose on her hind legs. "No!"
Fluttershy then cower back.
"Yees!" Photo Finish said, taking more photos.
Rarity then gestured for Fluttershy to give a confident smile, but she gave an awkward smile instead.
"No!" Photo Finish shouted, making Fluttershy retract again with a frown. "Yeees!"
While Photo Finish taking some more photos, Rarity then gestured Fluttershy a pose which Fluttershy does the same.
"No!" Photo Finish repeated, making Fluttershy squat low on the ground. "Yeees!"
Comet and Winter Breeze began to notice that Photo Finish was only taking her pictures when Fluttershy was being shy (no pun intended), rather than showing any attitude and pizazz. They hoped Rarity was making a note of that.
"Enough!" Photo Finish said before packing up her camera, the assistant grabbed the suitcase and she walked away without another word.
Everyone was stunned for a few seconds.
"She hardly took any pictures." Twilight said as Photo Finish walked by.
"I'm so sorry." Fluttershy apologizes as Rarity removed the headdress. "I tried my best."
"Well, the headdress is too big for you and cape has too much sparkle." Rarity said in her disappointed tone. "I can't believe I ever thought I could impress her."
"It seems that I, Photo Finish..." Photo Finish said, returned. "...have found the next fashion star here in Ponyville."
"Really?" Rarity asked.
"Yes. Really. And I, Photo Finish, am going to help her shine all over Equestria." Photo Finish announced, making Rarity give a light squeal. "Tomorrow, a photo shoot in ze park."
Photo Finish paused impressively, making a pose.
"I go!"
With that said, and giving a very dynamic pose, Photo Finish was gone like the wind. Rarity was very excited as she watched Photo Finish make her exit.
"Did you hear that?" Rarity said to everyone. "I am going to 'shine all of Equestria.'"
However, both Comet and Winter Breeze knew who Photo Finish don't think Rarity would shine, but Fluttershy.
"Oh Rarity, I was so worried I'd ruin everything." Fluttershy said with relief.
"Oh, never, I knew you'd be perfect." Rarity said as she excitedly giggled.
Rarity began jumping up and down excitedly. She was so excited that she didn't even notice that she was stomping on Spike's tail continuously. Poor Spike was so lovesick at Rarity next to him that he didn't even bother to move his tail out of the way until Twilight dragged him away herself.
Comet and Winter Breeze even went to Sweet Apple Acres to give Mario an explanation about Photo Finish and the photoshoot, telling him that she wasn't talking about Rarity but Fluttershy. Mario knows full well of Rarity being stubborn and not even willing to listen, though he told the two that she'll learn the hard way.
At the park, Rarity had a screen set up so Fluttershy could change while the other outfits she had assembled together were hanging on a wheeled clothes rack.
"No, no, no, yes!" Rarity said from behind, as she tossed one outfit after another from behind the screen until she found the right one. "That is definitely the one. Photo Finish is going to love it. Everypony is going to love it."
"Oh, I am so excited for you." Fluttershy said, came out wearing a white jumpsuit that was covered in light blue gems. "Just don't forget us little ponies when you become the most famous designer in all of Equestria."
"Never." Rarity answered.
It was then Photo Finish arrived on her own personal palanquin that was carried by four stallions with her two assistants behind it.
"Put me down here." Photo Finish said as the stallions lowered the palanquin so she could hop off.
"Oh, nonononononono." Photo Finish said, looking at Fluttershy while shaking her head. "The model should be in something simple. Something inspired by...the nature."
Just as when Photo Finish looked at the tree, both Rarity and Fluttershy were taken aback a bit before she quickly tried to recompose herself.
"That's just what I was thinking. Um..." Rarity said, shoved the rack of outfits away with her hind leg. "...give me a moment and I'll, uh, put a little something together."
"Yes...that will not be necessary." Photo Finish said.
"But...but...how are you going to help me 'shine across all of Equestria' if I don't design something new for these pictures?" Rarity asked shockingly.
"I'm not going to help you shine across Equestria." Photo Finish said, then turns to Fluttershy. "I'm going to help her shine. She is my star. You! Go!"
Rarity gasped, her eyes glossy as Photo Finish's two assistants dragged Fluttershy away. Rarity began to pack up and head back to the Carousel Boutique when Fluttershy returned, now wearing a green dress with a flowery headband. And by the look on Fluttershy's face, she didn't want to take away Rarity's dream, or had meant to. Fluttershy really wanted to head home and spend some time with Winter Breeze.
"I can't, Rarity." Fluttershy told her sadly.
"Oh, but you must, Fluttershy." Rarity said. "Photo Finish wants to make you a star. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. I know we were both hoping it would be my lifetime, but nonetheless you can't throw away this chance. You must do this for me. You must! You must! You must!"
Fluttershy clearly didn't want to, but Rarity was right in her face, begging. Fluttershy really wanted to spend some time with her daughter, but since she'll be in for modelling career because of her and Photo Finish, Winter Breeze will be very upset.
"Flootthershy! It is time to make...the magics!" Photo Finish called her, causing Fluttershy to sigh as she went over to her without another word. "Oh, wunderbar. You are like a delicate flower. So much more alluring without all those sparkles and feathers."
While it can be said that Photo Finish was only trying to encourage Fluttershy, Rarity felt rather hurt after learning that she didn't like the dress she had designed at all. Rarity would've listened to both Comet and Winter Breeze's opinion.
It wasn't long when Rarity made it back to the Carousel Boutique, using a sewing machine to make a black cloak. Until, she heard the door opened when Twilight, Mario, Pinkie Pie, Comet, Winter Breeze, and Spike arrived to see her.
"How'd it go? How'd it go?" Pinkie Pie asked excitedly, bounced on all four of her hooves.
"It didn't. Photo Finish wanted to work with Fluttershy, not me." Rarity said in a depressed tone, tucked on the black cloak.
Winter Breeze felt her heart shattered, now upset after hearing about her mother with Photo Finish. She then walk towards Rarity.
"How could you do that?!" Winter Breeze shouts in an upset tone which it got Rarity's attention. "Why did you let this have happen?!"
"What do you mean? I was just-"
"Just what? That you let Photo Finish take mom away from me!" Winter Breeze interrupts. "Aren't you her friend?! Haven't you ever thought how she feels?!"
"Winter, calm down." Twilight said, tried to assure her.
"Calm down! How can I calm down if Rarity forced Mom into modelling?!" Winter Breeze shouts, turns back to Rarity with an angry glare. "Mom didn't like being on a spotlight! She's trying to tell you that, but you kept insisting on getting her into your fashion career!"
"What?!" Rarity exclaims surprisingly. "But...I wasn't told about this..."
"Maybe it's because you didn't give her the chance to explain herself why." Winter Breeze points out, started to sniffle in tears. "Now mom...is with Photo Finish...AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!?"
And with that being said, Winter Breeze stormed out of the Carousel Boutique in tears, leaving Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Mario, Comet, Rarity, and Spike alone with a stunned expression on their faces. Rarity recomposed herself when she was about to go after her.
"Don't even, Rarity." Mario called out, causing Rarity to stop. "If you go after her, it'll be worse than it already is. And Winter's right, this whole thing is your doing. You've got a lot to think about."
Mario then left the boutique along with Comet. Rarity then looked down with a very sad, yet hurt expression on her face. She knows that Winter Breeze is right.
At the cottage, Winter Breeze made it back home when she cried her tears out. The animals were worried about the Icelandic filly, hoping to find out what happen, and they were wondering where is Fluttershy. They knew that Fluttershy is the only one who can get her to calm down since she and Winter Breeze are very close. The door opens when Mario and Comet arrived which it got Winter Breeze's attention.
"Hey, Winter." Mario said with a sad smile. "You okay?"
"No..." Winter Breeze answered sadly, sniffled. "It's just that...I..."
"We understand, Winter. We know you loved Fluttershy very much." Mario said as he and Comet walk towards her. "And you two are very close."
"She's my mom...she took care of me ever since she found me..." Winter Breeze told him. "I...just don't want to lose her..."
"And you won't, she won't forget about you, and I know you won't either." Comet told her, hugging the Icelandic filly. "Rarity's just not considerate of Fluttershy's feelings."
"But Winter, once everything cools down, you should go talk to Rarity." Mario suggests.
"I don't think I'm ready to talk to her right now." Winter Breeze said sadly. "After what I just did..."
"We understand. I'll tell you what, you can take all the time you need and you can talk to Rarity whenever your ready." Mario suggests with an assuring smile.
Winter Breeze confirms with a nod as Mario joins in, hugging the Icelandic filly.
Meanwhile, Photo Finish and her associates were busy getting Fluttershy ready for her big runaway debut. Fluttershy was clearly overwhelmed as the two assistants were fussing over her mane. She was currently wearing a teal-green dress with a multi-layered skirt, some ballet style green shoes on her fore-hooves, and her mane was tied upward with a silver tiara hairclip. One assistant was busy, putting make up powder on her face while the other was putting blush to make her cheeks rosy. Fluttershy squeaked at all the make up being put on her face.
"Too much blush!" Photo Finish said as the assistant wiped some off. "Not enough!"
The assistant applied more.
"Too much!" Photo Finish retorted as the assistant wiped again. "Not enough!"
The assistant applied again.
"Perfect." Photo Finish said at last.
"Ah...aaah...choo!" Flutterhy said, giving a very tiny sneeze.
"Oh yes! Even her schneezes are graceful." Photo Finish said. "Now go!"
Her assistants quickly took their leave as Photo Finish and Fluttershy made their way toward the stage.
"How do you feel?" Photo Finish asked. "Excited? Overjoyed? Thrilled beyond your wildest dreams?"
"N...nervous." Fluttershy said timidly.
"Nervous? Dun be ridiculous!" Photo Finish exclaimed. "You're only facing a large crowd of ponies who will be watching your every move and silently judging you."
Fluttershy cowered fearfully as the music began to play.
"Your cue! Now go!" Photo Finish said, giving Fluttershy a hard shove forward towards the start of the runaway.
Fluttershy nervously stepped forward a bit. The upscale and experienced fashion pony began to exam and chatter about her. Others were also taking pictures of her with their cameras. Despite everything, her body was telling her to run, but she remembered why she was there.
"You can't let Rarity down. You must do this. You must. You must. You must." Fluttershy told herself.
Soon, Fluttershy found a small comfort zone on stage. While she tried to smile and pose, she was still timid, shy, and reserved, but the ponies loved it.
"So graceful." The pony named Lyrica Lilac said.
"So lovely." The pony named Royal Ribbon added.
"So perfect for my new advertisement." Hoity Toity said.
It wasn't much longer before Fluttershy was a major fashion superstar. She began to make a front cover of several fashion magazines. She was even given the red carpet treatment for a premiere. A long white carriage appeared as Fluttershy and Photo Finish made their way inside the building with fans cheering for her. Rarity, wearing her peacock style hat was about to follow, only to be cut off by a security pony and denied access which Rarity was taken aback, causing her to feel indignant.
Soon others were sponsoring Fluttershy on their goods and products, including Sweet Apple Acres now had her face on the crates as Applejack and Apple Shine sold their apples proudly. Rarity gasped in surprise since they had come to visit them. She then looked up into the sky and some of the Pegasi were advertising Fluttershy on a large banner as they flew by. Rarity growled angrily and was getting jealous.
However, Fluttershy's new life in the spotlight isn't any better. One day, Fluttershy was just trying to fly and do something less exciting with her life, like heading home and try to make up time with her daughter, when...
"It's Fluttershy!" A pony named Shoeshine shouted.
And soon, other ponies were shouting excitedly as they chased after her. Fluttershy tried to run away, but was soon ambushed by paparazzi ponies wanting to take pictures of her. Seeing that running wasn't an option, she tried to fly away, but was soon bombarded by cameras and paparazzi in the air as well. Fluttershy then took off for the first place that came to her mind, Carousel Boutique.
Rarity was currently working on another dress alone. Working had been quiet until she heard the bell rang and saw Fluttershy ducked behind the door as ponies tried to peer inside, shouting and tried to get her picture once more.
"Wow. Look how popular you are." Rarity said with brimming on edge of jealously and sarcasm. "I'm so excited for you. You must be having the best time ever."
"Oh...no." Fluttershy said which left Rarity confused. "It's just that...I missed my little snow fairy. And she was right, I really missed the most important thing of all...it's being a mother and spending some time with my daughter."
Rarity realized what she means by that which Fluttershy mentioned Winter Breeze, but it's common that the Icelandic filly has a nickname, and it does make sense because of the snowy white fur coat. Even though, Rarity did get her into modelling career in the first place. She was about to tell her when Photo Finish arrived.
"Floottershy! I have been looking for you everywhere." Photo Finish told her. "We have the thing at the place."
"I'll see you at the spa? Our usual time?" Fluttershy asked as she flow out of the boutique.
"Of course!" Rarity said. "I can't wait to hear about the...'thing at the place'."
That last part was said with bitterness, but Fluttershy already left.
"I'm the one who should be mobbed by strangers wherever I go." Rarity muttered with jealousy, but sighed sadly. "Oh...Winter was right, it is my fault. I just wish I could get Fluttershy out of this."
And just then, the bell of the boutique rings again and the two mares walked inside.
"Welcome to the Carousel Boutique!" Rarity said, trying to be professional and cheerful towards the two mares that had entered shop which was none other than Bon Bon and Berry Punch.
"Is she still here?" Bon Bon asked. "We heard Fluttershy was here."
"Sorry, you just missed her." Rarity said. "But right now, I'm closing this shop early so I can have a talk with Winter."
Rarity then passed through the two mares and left the boutique. Both Bon Bon and Lyra were confused, but left the boutique.
At the cottage, Winter Breeze was still upset since Fluttershy hadn't come home in days. She kept tending the animals while her mother was away, heading to school, and head back home. It got everypony at school, even Zane, Mario, Storm Hawk, Comet, and Apple Shine worried about her. The animals were also worried about the Icelandic filly which they know full well that she really misses her. And just when Winter Breeze finished tending the animals, Rarity arrived.
"Um, Winter..." Rarity called her, earned her attention.
"What do you want?" Winter Breeze asked, glaring at her.
"Look, Winter, I just want to talk. I don't want any trouble, just a heart-to-heart talk." Rarity said. "Also, I really owe you a sincere apology after what I did."
Winter Breeze raised her eyebrow, surprised that Rarity actually came here to apologize and to have a talk. She decided to hear Rarity out as the two went inside of the cottage.
"Winter, I am really sorry for what I did to your mother." Rarity apologizes. "I know what I did wasn't right, and I should've listened to Fluttershy instead of pressuring her for modelling. But Winter, I was desperate for having somepony for modelling for me to feature my design. And yet, the cost...was for you to lose a mother. And you have every right to be angry at me. I don't blame you for lashing out at me. And you're right about one thing...it is my fault."
Winter Breeze was shocked of Rarity, and knew that she was really sorry for what she did to Fluttershy. Even though, Rarity was so focused on her designs and wanted to expand her career for having Fluttershy being a model, but it didn't turn the out the way she wanted because Photo Finish wants Fluttershy instead.
"I'm sorry too, Rarity." Winter Breeze apologizes, leaving Rarity shocked as the Icelandic filly started to fill up in tears. "It's just...I was so angry, I just snapped and lashed out on you. I...I really didn't mean it for what I said...I'm..."
Rarity cuts her off by hugging the Icelandic filly, knew that Winter Breeze was about to have a breakdown as she comforts her while letting her cry out. After few minutes of crying, they break their hugs.
"Thank you." Winter Breeze thanked her, wiping her tears. "I really need it."
"Oh, you're welcome. But Winter, there's something else you should know." Rarity said, sighed. "After the past few days and learning of your mother's whereabouts, I grew jealous. The reason why is because I wanted the attention, but instead, it was going to Fluttershy. I even started to hope that her modelling career would be over, so she can spend some time with you."
"But Rarity, if you're jealous, why didn't you tell mom?" Winter Breeze asked. "Mom doesn't want to be a model."
"I know, but it's just hard to me to tell her." Rarity told her with a sigh.
"And it's not good for being jealous while not sharing feelings with a friend, either." Winter Breeze points out. "I can understand why, but you have to tell her. Didn't she say anything about meeting somewhere?"
"Hm, now that you mention it, she did say at the spa." Rarity answered with a ponder. "Why do you ask, darling?"
"Because, I think it'll be a good time to tell her about how you feel." Winter Breeze explains. "I'll be there to support."
Rarity was surprised that Winter Breeze is willing to help, but she was right since now is the time to tell Fluttershy. However, it got Rarity curious as she spoke.
"That brings me one question, are you sure that you're a filly?" Rarity asks.
"I am. Why?" Winter Breeze questions in confusion.
"Because like Comet, you're insightful for your age." Rarity answered with a smile, hugging her. "And it's ironic, that a child teaches an adult."
Winter Breeze couldn't help but giggle as she hugs Rarity. The animals watched the entire scene which they're happy that the two forgave each other.
At the Ponyville Spa, Fluttershy made it which she was few minutes late, but she managed to convince Photo Finish that she was meeting Rarity for the weekly get together. Though, Twilight was at the spa for herself to relax at the jacuzzi bath.
"Rarity, I'm sorry I'm..." Fluttershy said, but noticed that Rarity isn't here. "Oh no, she's gone, isn't she?"
"Sorry, she's not here." Twilight answered sadly. "I haven't seen her here."
Fluttershy was too upset to be worried about it, but then, she noticed Rarity's here. And what also got her eyes was her daughter, Winter Breeze which it got Fluttershy very happy to see the Icelandic filly.
"Winter Breeze!" Fluttershy shouts as she shed in tears of joy, zipped her way towards her daughter and hugging her. "Ooooh! I've missed you so much! My little snow fairy!"
"I've missed you too, mom." Winter Breeze said with a smile, hugging her mother.
Both Rarity and Twilight watched the heartwarming sight with smiles on their faces, knowing that Fluttershy really need it.
"Did something happen, Rarity?" Twilight asked.
"Oh, just some heart-to-heart talk." Rarity answered simply. "And making amends."
Twilight nods with an understanding as Rarity then turns to her.
"Fluttershy." Rarity called her, earned her attention. "I've really want to talk to you."
"Of course." Fluttershy replied, puts her daughter down.
"Winter told me everything about you don't like to be on a spotlight or being a model. Instead of listening to you, I've put a pressure on you and for that, I owe you a most sincere apology." Rarity explains. "I'm really sorry for what I did. Also, I was jealous of you. The reason why is because I wanted all the attention, but instead it was going to you. I was even starting to hope that you'd lose your modelling career. But, it didn't happen. I'm really sorry."
Fluttershy was shocked that her daughter told Rarity about her not liking to be on a spotlight after what she's been through for the past few days as a model. She then spoke.
"And I'm sorry that I haven't told you sooner." Fluttershy apologizes. "Even Winter knows, I really don't like being a model. The reason why I kept going is because I was afraid that you would be mad at me for quitting and for not wanting to...'shine all over Equestria'."
"And I thought if I told you how jealous I was of your success, you'd think I was a terrible friend." Rarity told her.
"Never!" Fluttershy said with a smile.
"All this time!" Rarity said in realization.
"If we'd just told each other the truth." Fluttershy adds in a same tone.
"I promise never to keep my feelings in secret again." Rarity suggests.
"Me too!" Fluttershy replied in agreement.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Rarity and Fluttershy said together, even doing the gesture before they shared a hearty laughter.
Twilight and Winter Breeze watched them laugh with a smile on their faces. Rarity then came up with an idea.
"Now, I think I should get yours, mine, and Winter's dresses really." Rarity suggests. "Because I have an idea."
Later, Fluttershy was on her modelling dress with Winter Breeze and Rarity on their own dresses when Photo Finish noticed the two.
"Floottershy! What is the meaning of this?" Photo Finish demands. "I, Photo Finish, was never told that-"
"And I'm glad I didn't because there are a couple of things I wanted to say to you." Fluttershy interrupts, walking towards her with a harden glare. "The reason why I kept on going for being a model is because my friend, Rarity, wanted me to do that and I was afraid that I would quit on being a model. Also, it made me realize that I missed something very important me and that is my daughter, Winter Breeze."
Fluttershy then points at Winter Breeze.
"What?!" Photo Finish exclaims.
"I missed for being the mother and I missed for spending some time with my daughter." Fluttershy continued. "I should've told you sooner and I'm sorry for that. However, this is going to be the last time for my modelling career, and really wanted to have Rarity and Winter with me."
Photo Finish was stunned that Fluttershy is the mother of Winter Breeze and quitting for her modelling career. She then looked at Winter Breeze, now realized why she was here in her winter attire, remembered of the newspaper article about the Icelandic filly being adopted by Fluttershy.
"Is she really important to you?" Photo Finish asks. "Floottershy, even after what you told me about quitting for being a model and your daughter, I failed realize that you're the mother of the little one. I even read the newspaper which I thought it was a rumor, but now I know it's not."
"Yes. Winter is very important to me." Fluttershy replied with a straight answer.
"Then go." Photo Finish said. "Because after this, I'll put a good word to the ponies and so you'll get to spend your time with her."
Fluttershy nods with a smile as she, Winter Breeze, and Rarity make their appearance on the runaway. Photo Finish smiled as she waits for the show to begin. Fluttershy was nervous, but Winter is right next to her mother, giving her the support.
"We'll be right by your side, Fluttershy." Rarity assures her with a smile.
Fluttershy nods with a smile as they walked to the runaway. The ponies were confused as to why there are three instead of one, but then, they realized by looking at Winter Breeze in a winter attire and Rarity in her dress.
"Look, it's her." Lyrica Lilac said, points to Winter Breeze. "It's that little filly, Winter Breeze. She must be Fluttershy's daughter. She's even wearing the attire that compliments the theme of winter."
"And that pony." Royal Ribbon adds, points at Rarity. "The unicorn in the gorgeous cape and headdress. Now that is a pony who clearly knows a thing or two about fashion and a pony who knows about being the mother of the filly."
And with that, the ponies cheered as they started taking photos while Fluttershy, Winter Breeze, and Rarity continued walking to the runaway.
The next day, Fluttershy and Winter Breeze are now at the cottage after Photo Finish puts a good word to the ponies. The two are now spending some time together inside of the cottage.
"I really missed all of this." Fluttershy said with a smile. "Tending the woodland creatures, and spending a day with you."
"I really do to." Winter Breeze agrees, smiled. "I just hope they'd understand."
"Photo Finish already convinced them, which they take it well after what I've told her." Fluttershy points out, now hugging her daughter. "I really missed you and I love you."
"I love you too, mom." Winter Breeze said, hugging her mother with a smile on her face.
The animals were watching, smiled at heartwarming sight since both Fluttershy and Winter Breeze were very close as a mother and a daughter.
