Yeah, just as he thought.
When he got home using nothing but Mei's blue shirt (that's too large for his body) and a unisex pants, Luka immediately hounded him, berating him for blabla blabla bla.
He kind of forgot her words already because she talked so fast.
Fortunately, she wasn't that mad and aren't that suspicious after he said he slept in Mei's house so that she doesn't see the attire she bought getting dirty after he ate ramen like some kind of starved man.
That, and he also kind of used puppy eyes technique.
In the end, she chose to forgive him and kissed him in the lips for a few minutes (under the jealous gazes of Kurenai and Yakumo) and told him to immediately take a bath and use his own clothing instead of the Mizukage.
She said it's because its not polite to use someone's clothes, more so from the opposite gender.
But Naruto know it just because she feels jealous.
How adorable of her.

In the end, few hours later, Naruto and his 'bodyguard team' now standing in front of the Mizukage's desk. Bags slinged in their shoulders (Except Luka and Naruto), bidding their farewell.
"Honestly, you all can stay for another few days… how regrettable, my people really adore you, Naruto-kun. Can you stay just a bit longer?"
Yeah, Kirigakure really adore Naruto. But Mei's word is based on her own feeling, and that's why Naruto merely sent out a small, soft smile on his lips.
"Unfortunately, I can't Mei-san. Honestly, I would like to stay for a few more days, but I've few ANBUs on my tail, it will be rude of me when they're waiting for me outside while I'm having fun inside"
"… I guess that's true"
And she can't even let those ANBUs to enter her Kiri because it would be bad for her people's moral. Gently, Mei let out a regrettable sigh… it can't be helped now, can't it?
And she really wants to spend more of her time with him.
"Still, don't forget to come to visit again, Naruto-kun. As I said before, Kiri will welcome you with open arms"

… there's a small pause of silent as the boy and the Mizukage merely let the time passes, staring at each other's eyes, warm gaze from understanding and loves between their orbs.

Though, small cough from Luka broke everything and made Naruto blushes pink on his cheeks.
"Anyway, goodbye, Mei-san. I know you'll become a good Mizukage for Kirigakure… let's go everyone!"

As the boy and his team flickered off, Mei let out that words softly. Followed by another small, regretful sigh from her lips.

It has been a day and half, and tomorrow, they'll arrive at Konoha.
However, everyone could see that despite they're becoming nearer to their village, Naruto doesn't really look that happy. If nothing else, he looks rather agitated for someone who's in his way to his own home.
Of course, there's no question thrown, as they're already know the exact reason for such a thing.
Yakumo however, doesn't really like seeing her love so obviously look agitated and decide that they have enough run for today.
"Everyone, the sun is coming down soon. I think we could use some early rest now, right? I'm pretty tired"
No… not really. But she decided to said so nonetheless.
Fortunately, both Kurenai and Luka understand the meaning behind her request and immediately put their own input before Naruto can say anything.
"Yeah, it should be fine. After all, we're already inside the border of fire country, there should be no problem except few bandits around"
"I also don't have any problem with it"
As Kurenai and Luka said their input, Naruto that just opened his mouth can only closed it again without being able to say anything. But well, if the girls tired and want to have an early z, it should be alright.
After all, it's not like he's in a hurry or something like that.
"Sure girls, let's find some water source before we set our tents…"
Basic survival skills, and because two of them is ninjas and Yakumo also learned enough in these last few days, they nodded and immediately spread out to three different ways, searching for a small river or something like that with flowing water.
Naruto himself?
He's standing still after the three spread out, acting as their landmark and also remembering where they each go, so that in case one goes missing, he can immediately tell the way the person goes to the others without wasting time on tracking.

And after he heard that, he nodded and they waited together for eight more minutes until Kurenai and Luka also coming back, though they didn't find any water source.
Then again, one is enough.
And after they heard that Yakumo has found one, they in the end ran toward the way the girl pointed.
And this, my friend, is the simple way for ninjas squad to search for a place to set up a camp when they have no sensor ninja with them.

The moon is high in the sky, casting its ethereal light into the group of tents near the river.
And few meters away from the river, Luka and Yakumo sat, surrounding a bonfire while waiting for their third member…
Fortunately for them, it doesn't take Kurenai that long until in the end, she came out from Naruto's tent with rather furrowing eyebrows. Though said eyebrows relaxes when her eyes catch the sight of the two.
"He's sleeping now… and I also have casted some genjutsu on him to make him sleep easier"
Just in case he can't sleep because of anxiousness, better ready than sorry after all.

Luka said with a small, grateful nod toward the woman, which returned by Kurenai herself.
"So, did you find out what made him agitated?"
Yakumo asked, impatient. Among the three, she's the heiress here, and honestly, she's not used to wake up at this time, at all. And that's why she also kind of antsy, more so when some bugs bitten her skins.
"Yes, just as we thought, it's something about his parent… the information, it shook him pretty badly inside, despite he didn't show it outside"
"But… that doesn't make any sense…"
Luka said suddenly, her eyes showing disbelieves after Kurenai said such a thing which is just too strange in her ears.
"Naruto-kun obviously said that he doesn't hate the Kyuubi after it killed his parent, and he also doesn't seem to hate Yondaime-sama for sealing the beast within him, so why?"
"I… I don't know. I'm sorry, despite my prodding, he only said that he has trust issues right now and can't tell me anything at the moment. Though he promised me that he'll tell me when he feels better"
Kurenai sat in one of the fell tree bark and start to pokes on the fire, feeling slightly dejected. Him said that he'll tell her when he feels better basically mean something like 'I'm alright, you don't need to worry at all' to her ears, and it felt so wrong.
Didn't he promise that he'll talk with her when something's eating on his heart?
Still, she understood his position. The wound is still fresh, the memories still linger in the back of his mind, haunting his every movement every time he looks into mirror or water.
At this time, no matter what she does, he won't feel better. All she can do for now is to lent him her shoulders to cry into and kisses him goodnight.
He felt happy when she did. So at least, she knows that she's making progress, though pretty slow.
"What do you think, Yakumo-san? I hate to say this, but among the three of us, you're the one that has deeper understanding, when it come to my boyfriend's thinking"
"Hmm, let me think about it for a few minutes"
After she pulled up her kimono and pulled forward her sleeves (so the mosquitos can't bite those parts) Yakumo sat there, thinking about her love and every possibility that could make him upset like this.
Though after few minutes, she clapped her sleeved hands together with slightly widening eyes.
"Kurenai-san, did he really said that he's having trust issue?"
Ah, yes. He said that to me, he didn't tell me who made him like this though"
As Kurenai talking, Yakumo nodded along, everything makes sense now.
Though, just as she opened her mouth to say something, Cat masked ANBU suddenly come out, standing behind Kurenai.
"… It's probably Hokage-sama and Konoha's people"
Ignoring the pouting heiress because her words was cut off, Cat merely focuses her gazes into Kurenai and Luka that turned their attention to her after her arrival.
"Hokage-sama… and Konoha population itself?"
"Yes, that's true Yuhi-san… I've watched Naruto-san since his childhood, and sometimes, he would ask Hokage-sama 'Say, Jiji… you know my parent, right?' only for Hokage-sama to say no every time he asked. That, along with Konoha people who kept whispering about the fact that he has no parent, that he's orphan, or something like that, probably once made him hurt so much in the past"
"I see…"
Of course, from the fact his father was the legendary fourth Hokage himself, there's no way his grandfather figure doesn't know about such information. And it makes him now having trust issue, getting his face slapped from the fact he was lied to since the start by the person he once trusted the most.
"Of course, there's also few more possibility on what Naruto-san's thinking. For example, where's his parent's friends all these years? Where's his father's teacher, one of the great sannin, Jiraiya? Where's his clan members, Uzumaki clan? Everything is possibility when it came to Naruto-san mind… though which one currently making him feel hurt is what I don't know"

As the ANBU went back to her post, Kurenai, Luka and Yakumo stares into each other.
"I'll look into every book about the fourth Hokage, Uzumaki clan and some other related books when we reach Konoha"
"I'll ask some of my clan's elders about Minato Namikaze and his wife and just who's their friends in the village"
As Luka and Yakumo putting their input, Kurenai is the only one silent, still thinking. And the two patiently wait for the woman to make up her mind.
"I… Luka-san, can I sleep with Naruto-kun tonight?"
"What! Yo-"
"Please, it's not what you think…"
Before Luka can explode from female justly fury, Kurenai put one of her fingers in her own lips, signaling the girl to shut up and said that sentence to calm her down, eyebrows furrowed.
"When he slept minutes ago, he slightly moves around… more so after I walked away from him. I… I think he's having a nightmare, it's probably for the best if I sleep with him and put some genjutsu to calm his mind down so he can sleep better. Plus, today is your turn to patrol the area, doesn't it? It's not like you're going to sleep with him this night"
She's angry… anyone could see this. From the furrowing in her eyebrows, her teeth that's currently gnashing around, and her palms that's clenching so tightly until they're both white.
But in the end, the girl let out a heavy sigh and nodded. Though her eyes still sharp.

And with that, the three stood and nodded at each other, knowing what's their job for today and tomorrow.

Seeing her girlfriend caring for one boy is one thing. But it's another thing to see her girlfriend entered the boy's room and start to sleep with him after spooning the boy in her warm embrace.

Honestly, this is new feeling for her, and Cat can tell immediately that she doesn't like this feeling, at all.
Kurenai has been her light when she was in the middle of darkness, her oasis when she's thirsty. And now, seeing her loving and caring someone who shouldn't have her love and care in the first place make her heart boiling with jealously.

As the team crossed their village's gate, Naruto smiled happily and turned around to watches his friends and girlfriend.
"Welcome back, everyone~"
"Haha, very funny dear… most of us here already have experience when it came to returning home after long missions"
The girl said with small roll of eyes, though she still caught his palm in her own just in case he starts having those ideas to run around the village and screaming that he's back.
As his hand caught by his girlfriend, Naruto pouted at her.
There goes his plan to run around Konoha several times while screaming "I'm back!"
"I know your plan dear, don't give me that pout of yours, we're going to wipe that out later this night"
Knowing what she meant, Naruto's pout gone just like that and become a rather shy blush.
Really, where goes his professional girlfriend goes? She suddenly gone after their arrival in Konoha.
"Anyway, Kurenai-san, Yakumo-chan. What's your plan?"
"Well, Naruto-kun, I for one need to report this mission to Hokage first and foremost before I can do anything"
"As for me, I'm going home… there's something I need to talk about with my clan's elders. And then I'm going to market to buy some mosquitos repellant just in case I go out from Konoha again. Ido may have make me stronger physically and genjutsu wise. But I'm still not used to camp outside"
"Hehehe, alright then~ Anyway, I'll be in library if any of you want to hang-out, okay?"
To the three girls there, what Naruto said is basically 'I'm feeling lonely, can you girls accompany me later in library?' and here, Kurenai and Yakumo nodded with loving smiles in their face.
"Of course, Naruto-kun, I'll go there when my report is finished"
"Sure, Naruto, Ido is also curious about some books and want to read too"
Not happy, but can't help it, Luka merely squeezed her boyfriend's hand to reassure him that she will be beside him.

With her boyfriend on her shoulders, Luka let out a small sigh as another book fly away as the boy throw it away after he found out that it's not the book he's searching for.
As librarian herself, honestly Luka doesn't like seeing so many books getting thrown as if they're some kind of trash, even if it was done by her boyfriend.
But it can't be helped, today's librarian refuse to help them to search for book that held information about Uzumaki clan or fourth Hokage for some reason. And because Naruto was angry, he had channeled small bit of Kyuubi's chakra to his eyes to threaten the librarian.
Well, small was a bit understatement, as the librarian immediately passed out with foaming mouth.
And all her boyfriend said was "oops"
Oh dear, Luka really want to rub her head if not because she's holding on her boyfriend's legs so he won't fall.
"Dear, do you find it?"
"Aha! Got one! The… fallen clan… Uzumaki…"

As the boy read the title out loud, Luka can only caress his legs gently to comfort him.

As Yakumo sat there, she understood… understood the play, the hidden protection that her elder have said. her love, he wasn't as alone as he thought.
Since the very beginning, he's a boy full of love, and now she realizes behind those shadows called loneliest, there's so many people who loved the boy despite they cannot show it that much.

Honestly, it came as a shock to Hiruzen that Naruto has known about the Kyuubi long before this event (because from Cat previous report, the boy seems to be in conversation relationship with the creature). However, this is not the real problem here.
The real problem is that now the boy knows the identities of his parent from the Uchiha who controlled the previous Mizukage.
Of course, it can't be helped if the boy now probably angry at him… years after years rejected from the information must have make him feel bitter at him.
"Where's Naruto-kun now, Yuhi-kun? There's something that I need to straighten up with him"
"H-Hokage-sama… I don't think it's a good idea for you to meet him now"
Hahaha, oh young one. Easily so scared of something they don't understand.

Naruto is always a kind boy, the boy will surely understand if he were to explain his reason to him, right? And even if he were to use Kyuubi's power, it should be alright. Naruto-kun may have improved by large margin, but most of his power probably came from Kyuubi, surely in his base form he's still around low to mid genin, right?
He is a Hokage, stronger than Mizukage that was being controlled by sharingan.
Plus, in the middle of the village, there's no way Naruto of all people would dare to use Kyuubi's power. He's just that kind hearted.

Then Yakumo came, and with her, she told me about his parents from the point of view of her clan elder. She told him about his parent's friends, who they're and where are they all this time.
And this, clicked with everything he just read. And he can't help but to shed tears after Yakumo finished.
The big picture… he can see it now. He embraced it like a kid holding on to their parent, and in his case, these memories are all he could clutches into when it came to his parents.
There are still a piece missing however…
He understood the big picture, he has the basic knowledge of his parent nature and how kind they're when they alive. And he even got the picture on the whereabout of all of his parent's friend locations, what they have done for him from behind the scenes.
Now, all he need is the last piece… the last piece called reason, the reason 'why' all of this was hidden from him.
"Ah, Naruto-kun. Have you finished your reading?"
However, the curiosity for reason gone the moment his 'Jiji' entered the room, with that damned smile of his, as if uncaring and all of his lies to him in the past doesn't matter, that they have no weight whatsoever.
Yeah… and reasons gone from his mind, basically and literally as bluish chakra explodes from his body.
… And then, he dashed to his so-called grandfather figure.
"FUCK YOU!"

No Kyuubi…
There's not even any ouch of Kyuubi's chakra when the boy he thinks as his own grandson dashed at him, and because of the suddenness of it, Hiruzen can't do anything as a lone, tiny fist buried itself into his gut.
And then… the chakra explodes.

The front part of the library literally turn into gaping hole as Hiruzen was thrown from the building into the building across of it, destroying the poor house instantly.

The boy ignored his question altogether as his shadow coming out from the dust inside the library. And his eyes… oh boy, how colds they are.
Young he is, not even genin he is… even Hiruzen can't help but to tremble as the boy looking down on him with such cold, glaring eyes.
"… There's once a clan called Uzumaki, brother to Konoha in all but blood. In the last war, they are wiped out from elemental nation to protect Konoha, destroyed by the join-force of Kiri, Kumo and Iwa, but even if one clan faced off against three powerful nations, they still secured victory, with the price is that all of them was wiped out. And it was also because of their sacrifice that Konoha won in the last war in the first place… because of their spilled bloods, their tears, their life!"
Coughing bloods once again, Hiruzen stood and raised his arms to calm down his grandson.
Of course, his fingers signaling his ANBU to not disturb them… at all.
That last punch of him… even ANBU would find all of their back's bones crack if any of them got hit.

Light it is, the two laughed together. They laugh in a both mix of sadness and happiness after they reached understanding of each other.
And of course, they also laugh… in memories of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.

The three was watching everything from inside the library, and their heart beaten so hard just seconds ago, fearing that their love will kill the Hokage, or perhaps the opposite.

Fortunately, there's no more fear induced act after the first punch.
"Oh, god… I thought my heart going to jump out"
Luka said, falling to her butt, sweat covering her whole face.
Though the other two isn't that much different, they also seemed as scared as her, if not more. It's really… really fortunate of them that Naruto is very understanding person.
If it was anyone else, with Kyuubi power, that person probably already exploded in red chakra… not blue, and the tragedy from twelve years ago probably would repeat itself.
"Oh, why are you in the ground, Luka-chan?"
