Chapter 15, A Demon and his son

Just like what Cat said yesterday, around the morning or so, they already arrived at the Wave country.
And the sight, is not something that Naruto can like at all.
Poor people everyone, and even children have such tiny stomach from not eating for days. And maybe because of his attire, it's obvious that the people immediately send him their nastiest glare (probably thinking him as one of their oppressors).
He wants to help them… but right now, he has something much more dire to do.
But still…
"Say, Cat-chan… you can cook, right?"
He can cook, but he has no time, and unlike the time when he's in Kiri, he doesn't bring Yakumo this time, and thus, he's asking Cat to do the deed.
"… I can't, and I believe we should go to where Kakashi-san is, asap. We don't have any time to waste"
"…"
Deep in thinking, Naruto ignored the woman's words and keep staring at the villagers.
Few seconds later though, he nodded. Hands went into a single hand-sign he once saw Cat used when she's in dire need to have extra hands to help her capture him after a rather big prank.
"Kagebunshin no jutsu!"
Puff!
With a rather loud and thick smokes, soon three Naruto appeared behind him, face looking confused just like him.
It's a success… in one try?
Wait, then again, he has that perfect chakra control perk, doesn't he?
Oooooooooh… how can he forgot?
Alright then.
"You three! You know what to do!"
"YES BOSS!"
After his three clones took two scrolls from him, they immediately run toward the village's central plaza to set up their tent and feed the people around.
Honestly, he isn't that good when it came to cooking, but standard taste should be good enough. Those people are starving after all, they shouldn't be too choosey when it came to foods.
"…"
"I learned that from you actually, Cat-chan, so thanks for the help"
Despite silent, he can sense it when the woman is staring at him, probably confused why he know one of B-rank kinjutsu despite no one taught him such a thing. Then again, Kage-bunshin series was never a kinjutsu for an Uzumaki like him.
And of course, he gave her no time to ask as he immediately continue his walks into the nearest chakra signatures, knowing that those should be Kakashi and his squad.
After all, there should be no ninjas except them inside this village full of civilians, right?

"… Who's there?"
A lone, cold voice greeted Naruto and Cat after the boy knocked on the house's door. Though the boy simply blinked several times as he tried to make sure that the voice is indeed the voice of one Kakashi.
Huh… so that's how he sounded if he were to serious and not being lazy.
"Naruto Uzumaki and ANBU Cat… we're here to act as backup"
His trail of thought only lasted for a mere second, and after that, Naruto said those words just in case the shinobis inside are too tense and become hostiles if he were to took a rather long time to give a simple answer.

With his sharp ears, Naruto easily heard it when the person inside (probably Kakashi) sheathed back his drawn weapon.
Of course, he doesn't need to wait that long, cause soon, the man opened the door with a rather carefree eye smile, hands on his hips as if he wasn't just a second ready to throw a kunai from over the door few seconds ago.
"Hmm, I indeed asked for some back-up from Hokage-sama, but I never thought that it would be you two, Uzumaki-kun and Cat"
"Hai hai, can we get in now, Hatake-san? I'm pretty beat here"
Naruto already knew the man from the way back. Though despite they never talk with each other that much, he does think the man as rather lax person and easy to talk to, and that's why Naruto chose to skip their pleasantries just in case there's some spies from the opposing side nearby. He may have sensor bloodline now, but still better safe than sorry.
"Oya? What did you do I wonder? Though you're right, do come in and we shall converse inside"
"Created three kage bunshin few minutes ago… it's not that tiring, it just my first try, so my chakra is slightly moving in strange pattern… anyway, do please excuse me"
As the man opened the door wider, Naruto accepted his invitation and entered the house politely after he took off his shoes. Behind him, Cat followed suit and Kakashi close the door once again.
"Oh, that should subside in a few minutes or so, nothing to worry about"
"I know, still annoying though"
First time always felt strange, that's what most ninjas said when it came to their first time using jutsu. For someone who trained to spit fireball from their mouth, it said the user's throat felt so dry and thirsty so suddenly, while for ninja who trained on using wind ninjutsu had their skin felt so ticklish and sensitive for brief seconds, and there's also many more other examples just like these.
But still, it is harmless, just like a baby who moved their hands for the first time. It may feel strange and annoying at first, but he'll accustomed to it soon.

"Tazuna-san, these two shall be my backup to protect you against Gato's men, I hope you don't mind their presences"
"Ohoho! Of course, I won't mind! If nothing else, I'm grateful for more helpers"
When Naruto arrived on the inside of the house, he was greeted by the presence of a muscly, elderly man with graying beard and hairs called Tazuna. And said man was having face full of confusion before Kakashi reassured him that he and Cat is in fact a back-up instead of whatever he's thinking.
"Tazuna-san, I believe? My name is Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki, I'm delighted to make your acquaintance…"
"O-Oh, yes! I'm pleased to meet you too! My name is Tazuna, the super bridge builder!"
Maybe because of his chosen words, Tazuna was stammered a little bit at the beginning. Though the man still smiling pleasantly as he pulling a chair for him to sit down… which, Naruto accept with grateful nod.
Ah, all of that lesson from Luka at last giving him some fruits.
'Hey… -psst-, is he a son of noble or something like that?'
'… Or something like that'
Of course, Naruto does nothing except to smile softly as he putting one of his palms on his cheek while Tazuna whispered something to Kakashi that sitting beside him. those two… aren't as silent as they thought.
"Oh, by the way Hatake-san, where's your students?"
Few minutes hearing the two talking, Naruto soon decided to cut into the case and asked Kakashi the question tingling on the back of his head for quite some time after he entered the house.
Behind him, Cat standing rigidly, guarding him.
Wait, her mission is to be a back-up for Kakashi's squad just like him, right? So why is she guarding him? or perhaps his grandfather figure gave her double missions?
How curious.
"Well, they are yet to be awake, though I can't fault them, they did just meet the demon of the mist Zabuza Momochi and survive, after all"
Uncaringly, Kakashi shrugged off his shoulders and taking out a small book from his pouch which he read right after he said his words. And seeing this, Naruto sweatdropped… there goes the infamous Kakashi's lazy moment.
"Father, do we have a guest?"
Right before Naruto can ask Kakashi about his book, a rather mature and beautiful voice chime in. and when he turned his attention to the voice, Naruto can see a rather pretty woman with bluish hair. She's wearing a short-sleeved pink shirt with the end of the sleeves and the collar being red in color. Oh… she's also wearing a rather long blue skirt for bottom.
"Oh, Tsunami! Yes, these two are here to guard me too, just like Kakashi and his squad"
"Ohhh~ how delightful, do please excuse my rudeness… my name is Tsunami, and thank you for guarding my father, ninja-san"
When she was told that he and Cat is basically guardians for her father, Tsunami's smile widen in delightful manner, then bowed softly at their way. Though, her cheeks immediately turn red when she caught the sight of him.
Naruto though, simply give out a simple smile. Uncaring of the woman sudden fondness for him…
"Oh? You're not interested in her, boy? That's new"
'I… I don't know Kyuubi-san. This woman just… doesn't seem that interesting to me for some reason…'
"Probably because of your own preference… do try to use your [lustful observe] on the mirror when you get the chance"
'Ah… yes, of course. I will do it later'
He can use [Lustful observe] on his very own person? That's new, but not that surprising. He just never had any thought to use any of his perk on his own body. Though now a small idea already planted, Naruto can't help but to imagine what can he do with the other perks he has.
Let's save it for later.
"My name is Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki. And your welcome, though this mission was kinda forced on me, I'll do my best to protect Tazuna-san as he builds his bridge"
Kakashi already told the situation from the letter he wrote, so Naruto simply said like that. And after she heard his words, Tsunami once again smiled in grateful manner and bowed.
"Once again, thank you… and anyway, would you like tea or…"
"Tea please"
"Alright, please wait a bit. I'll also start to make our breakfast"
And with that, Tsunami turned around and walked away to the kitchen. Behind her, Naruto returned his attention to one Kakashi Hatake. His eyes sharpened.
"Hatake-san, tell me more about your situation…"
"Alright, let's start with the day me and my squad took off from Konoha"

"What are you doing here, Naruto?"
Cold, yet definitely angry voice is heard after Sasuke woke up and taking the seat beside his teacher, with Naruto himself sitting across of Kakashi, taking a sip of his hot tea. And from eyes, everyone can see that Naruto doesn't really care about the boy's words.
Of course, with Sasuke already awake, it took no time before Sakura and the other student of Kakashi woke up and taking seats beside Sasuke.
The third student… he's pale.
Slam!
Unfortunately, Naruto got no time to observe the boy as Sasuke slammed his hands hard on the dining table, tired of being ignored by the reject of his class. And of course, after he did such a thing, the room become silent almost immediately.
"Answer me, Naruto!"
"… Sasuke… sit"
Calmly, Naruto put the tea in the table, and after he did, he said the 'sit' word.
Of course, while saying such a thing, he glared at the Uchiha with eyes glowing with crimson orbs full of malice, which lasted for no more than a second as he then returned his eyes back to its normal color. Though, said small second is enough for Sasuke to sit back on his seat with face full of fear and sweat.
His teammate doesn't notice anything though, because Naruto already made sure that they were blinking their eyes when he did 'red eyes' to Sasuke. Though Kakashi is different matter altogether… he noticed, but he still keeps his calm, probably already know from the Hokage that he can control Kyuubi's chakra to a small degree now.
"Good, now what's your question? I believe heir of the great clan Uchiha like you should know at least a little bit of manner, right? And it's alright Tsunami-san, do continue placing foods in the table, I'm sure my friend Sasuke now have realized his mistake"
"O-Oh, yes, of course Uzumaki-san"
And the calm yet nice air around the room now coming back as Tsunami placing some plates of foods on the table while talking about something with her father, smiles on their faces.
Sigh
"… Why are you here?"
Looked right and left, Sasuke doesn't find anyone who took notice of Naruto's change of eyes few seconds ago, and in the end, he chalked it up as him being tired and still having hallucination of Zabuza and his fearful killing intent. Of course, he still calmed down somewhat and asked the question to Naruto after his heart start to beat in normal pace and no longer in frantic.
"Well, your teacher there asked for a back-up and Konoha doesn't have anyone… so Hokage-sama send me instead"
"I see…"
Among all graduate, Sasuke is the only one (probably) heard about Naruto becoming stronger after he rise up to the rank of Konoha's council member. So, while it's kind of strange why the Hokage sending Naruto of all people (because he isn't a registered ninja to his knowledge) in the end Sasuke can only eat up his rival's words of the fact Konoha doesn't have any force to send out except him.
But still…
"You asked for back up?"
"Oya? Of course, after all we're facing against Zabuza, the demon of the mist. There's no way I can fought him alone"
"But… you did… you fought him alone and winning after three of us was incapacitated"
"Ohoho, I think you hit your head too hard yesterday, my student"
As the copy ninja laughed softly, Sasuke and Naruto sweatdropped. They can smell the lie from miles…
Though not a second later, Kakashi's eyes turned sharp, the sign of him being serious. And seeing this, Naruto, Sasuke and the two other students of him also giving their serious attentions.
"Anyway, while it true I was winning yesterday, I thought hard this morning and came to a conclusion that Zabuza is still alive"
The man then told his students about the hunter-nin that took Zabuza's corpse yesterday and the fact they used senbon, a weapon that could turn someone into a fake death state if used correctly.
Sakura is definitely devastated and fearful when she heard this, from what Naruto heard from Kakashi, the girl did nothing but to stand in front of Tazuna and baring her kunai when Zabuza attacked yesterday, and even then, when the demon struck the team with his killing intent, she pissed herself.
So really, her fear is understandable. Laughable, but still understandable.
As Kakashi talking, the others already start eating. and in the middle of it, a child, Tsunami's son came down and also start eating with them, eyes covered by his hairs.
"Nice hate the boy go-"
'Nope… not hate, just annoyed, mixing with some other feeling, sadness and depression from what I can sense'
Of course, until the boy himself say what's eating his heart, Naruto can't do anything to help, while the other doesn't seem to care enough about the feeling of 'eight?' years old boy. Of course, except the boy's mother who keep sending him her worried gaze.
But that's mother's love, he guesses.
"Hatake-san, if Zabuza going to recover in less than a week, then you should train your students before the day happen"
Cat said, giving her own input after Kakashi finished his explanation to his students. With the man himself eye smiled after he heard her suggestion.
"Yes, I'm going to train them on chakra control later after we finished eating, how about you Naruto? You want to join in?"
"No thank you, my girlfriend already taught me all of chakra control exercises she know"
Not really, he taught himself most of the chakra control like water walking or tree walking, but some did was taught by Luka. His words simply just him wanting to see Sakura's reaction…
And just as he thought, her face soured when he said 'my girlfriend' words. Though, she didn't make any comment on it.
"Why…"
In the middle of their conversation, a tiny voice is heard from Tazuna's grandson. And their attention went to the boy almost immediately, eyebrows raised.
"Why do you guys bother to try so hard?! No matter how hard you train, you're still no match for Gatō's men! No matter what glorious claims you make or how hard you work, the weak will only end up getting killed!"
The outburst however, wasn't expected by anyone there except for one Tsunami. Before the woman can act though, Naruto act first.
Pfft
And yes, he's laughing, though he's doing his best to resist the urge to do so. The boy is in pain, no matter how funny his claim is, the fact is unchanging that he's in pain, he can't laugh over his pain.
Not a few seconds later, in the end Naruto is success to regain his bearing. With everyone's attention now on him, including one teary eyed boy.
"Ah, sorry, sorry. I just can't help it… but boy, what's your name?"
"I am Inari! And how dare you laughing at me!"
"I said sorry, didn't I? heh"
Gently and kindly, Naruto put one of his palms on top of the boy's head and kneel down until they're same level. His lips smiling softly as he does so.
"But Inari, I'm strong you know? I'm pretty sure this Gato is nowhere near my level. I definitely can protect your grampa until he finished his bridge"
His charm is equal to his charisma, and so, the boy soon no longer feels annoyed of his presence, though he can feel him still at least a little bit distrustful.
"You lied, everyone who said that always end up die… e-even my dad"
Sniff
Oh shit… so that's why he's so depressed, no wonder after he lost his dad. Though now already know of the situation, Naruto start to rub the boy's head ever his head, his eyes become a little bit gentler than usual.
"Then your dad died as a hero… just like my father"
"E-Eh?"
Not only Inari, even Kakashi dropped his book for a small second after Naruto said those words. Though his students definitely confused from the fact Naruto know his own father whether he never knew anything about his parent when he was in academy.
"We're similar you know, Inari? My father died protecting the village while yours died fighting Gato… it hurt, I know. But if we cry, isn't that mean we spat in their grave? So, instead of crying, why don't you man up and be like your father a little? I'm sure… even now he's watching over you from up there"
"I… I… But it's so h-hard"
"Of course, but if it easy, then there would be no 'hero', simply because everyone would be one by now…"
Gently, Naruto gave the boy a small smile and patted him in the head as he standing up.
"… it's simply because the road is full of obstacles that people can't help but respect and love Hero, and I'm sure Inari, you can be one too"
And here, Naruto beamed, full of trust toward the boy who has slight similarity with him.
-Later-
Naruto is walking around the forest near wave country after he talked with Inari for a few hours. and yes, he did talk with Inari for a few hours after the boy trusted him enough and, in the end decide to call him 'Naruto nii-san'.
As for what they're talking about… well, it's boy things.

No one ever said talking to a kid could be so tiring. Then again, if someone said such thing to him in the past, Naruto wouldn't trust them at all.
Now… let's find a demon and his accomplice.

"Let's see, is there any water nearby?"
Soon, Naruto found a small puddle and decide that it was good enough after he make sure that his reflection is being reflected perfectly on top of said puddle.
"Now let's see what my preference… Lustful Observe"

Because [lustful observe] is his own ability, it doesn't show friendship and lust percentage, no surprise there. It did show his preference though, which he wanted to see in the first place.
But… strong woman, huh? Is that why he has no drive to get closer to Hinata, Ten-ten, Ino or the other despite he already said he will? However, it also said bothmentally or physically, so from the fact he hasn't been active to get closer to any of them mean none have showed him mental or physical capability to get his interest.
So that's also probably why Tsunami is just big no to him.

With fist trembling and shone blue from chakra, Naruto cocked back his fist and punched one of the trees nearby. And as if his fist was fueled by nothing but explosion, the poor tree and other trees behind it was obliterated almost immediately, leaving nothing but a lone trail of destruction on its wake.
"To think… I'm so picky…"
Calmly, Naruto opened his palm and stares at it with uncertain eyes.
Friends… people who loves him, that's all he always wanted long before he got his hands on this ability of his. But now, to think he's so picky when it came to lovers… he never thought about such a thing in the past.
"Just because they're not your lover doesn't mean they can't be your precious people. Don't think too deep on it. Why don't you think it like this, you know you're walking on a dangerous path full of enemies, so of course you wanted your lovers to be as strong as they can, at least enough to protect themselves"
Yeah… that's one way to put it kindly.
He's just… still miffed from the fact he can't tell his own preference and needed his ability to point it out right to his face.

Slowly, Naruto calmed down somewhat. And when he's sure there's no longer agitation inside his heart, Naruto sat cross-legged and began to meditate.
There're still so many things he doesn't know about his ability and himself. So, no matter how small it is, meditate help a little bit…

An hour or so later, Naruto was jolted awake by an unknown presence near him. and when he opened his eyes, Naruto was greeted by a sight of a rather pretty… teen in front of his eyes.
The teen is male… no matter how pretty he is, there's no fooling his ability.
And said male was stretching his hand, as if to woke him up, Naruto woke up by himself, which startled him. and thus, the pretty boy soon fell to his butt.
"A-Ah, geez… you surprised me there, are you okay?"
Feeling kind, Naruto stand up and stretching his own hand to help the boy to stand up. Which he accepted with kind smile on his face.
"Yes, I'm alright. And I'm sorry to surprise you, I thought you were sleeping, so I was going to wake you up"
"Yeah, I guessed it already"
After Naruto pulled the teen back to his feet, said teen was busy patting away the dust from his kimono while Naruto decide to help him gathering back all of the herbs scattered when he fell.
He… know these herbs.
But, let's act clueless for now.
"So, any reason you're sleeping on a forest, ninja-san?"
"First off, I'm not a ninja. Secondly, I was meditating, and thirdly, I am looking for Zabuza, there's something I need to talk about with that old man"
As he's talking, Naruto was placing his hands on his hips, acting as if off guard to the teen who he can deduct is Zabuza's accomplice. From the herbs alone, he can take a guess that those were for Zabuza that should be still paralyzed.
And just as he though, when the word 'Zabuza' left his mouth, the teen's hands holding the tray full of herbs went rigid for a brief second.
"You're not? Well, my bad, ufufu~ anyway, my name is Haku, I'm currently gathering herbs for my sick father. What's your name, not-ninja-san?"
A slight misdirection, a sign of the teen, Haku doesn't want to talk about Zabuza to a stranger like him. Good idea, let's follow along for now.
Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki. And I hope your father get better soon, Haku-san"
"Thank you, Uzumaki-san"
After he said that, Haku start to humming while staring at the trail of destruction left by him of all people. Though Naruto also staring at the teen with calculating eyes… the teen, he's probably calculating whether he can assassinate him quickly and go home.
Not that Naruto would let himself get killed by some no-name in a middle of nowhere.
"You're pretty strong for a someone who's not ninja, Naruto-san"
"Yeah, I do… I killed the third Mizukage after all. Compared to him when he transformed into three tails, a tree is a simple thing"
The teen is trembling… or at least, his fingers is. He must have been shaking from his words after sensed no lies whatsoever, despite this, he still trying his best to stay calm.
A foolish errand, really.
"T-Third Mizukage… I've heard about his power. You must be pretty strong, Naruto-san"

"… Cease this act. It annoys me"
Calmly, uncaringly, Naruto turn his back to Haku, though his eyes stares over his back to the teen. And seeing this, the teen can only widen his eyes, like a deer in the middle of kunai's rain, trembling in nothing but fear for his life.
"Tell Zabuza that Kiri is rebuilding, the new Mizukage is Mei… and right now, she needs someone she can trust. Go back, be a ninja of Kiri once again. if you're still bent on hell to kill the bridge builder, then I'll erase the two of you just like I erased Yagura. And that's a promise"
And with that as his last words, Naruto is gone, speeding up with such speed that Haku can't even follow.
And of course, after received the boy's words, Haku gathered some more herbs and scurrying away to his hut to tell his master about the boy's presence… and the words said by him.
If… if Kiri is really freed. Then there's no reason for them to continue this life of mercenary.
'And that Naruto… he really… terrify me'
-Later-
"Zabuza-sama!"
The very second Haku running to his master bedroom like a man possessed, he's having such terrified eyes that the man on the bed can only forgive him despite the shock his body felt when the teen slammed the door open.
Wince
"Haku! Fucking calm down!"
But still, forgiven or not, his body is still in pain. So, of course Zabuza was slightly miffed and screamed that to the boy, enough to make him winced and somewhat calmed down.
"Z-Zabuza-sama. Forgive me… t-there s-someone wh-…"
"Haku… I told you to fucking calm down, didn't I?"
As the demon forcing his pain filled body to sit down, he glared at the teen that deep down he thought as his own son. And seeing his father figure's glare, Haku become silent and can only gulped down his saliva in fear.
Sooner or later, in the end the teen calmed down his nerve and tell Zabuza the whole story. About the boy with noble like clothing and his confession as the killer of Yagura Karatachi, the bloody Mizukage.

Once again, the 'demon of the mist' plopped his back against the soft material of his bed. Hands behind his head, uncaring of the pain he does to himself as he doing such action.
Who would have though the man he once feared would be killed by a kid?
Not him.
"Zabuza-sama… d-do you think he's telling the truth? That we can go back to Kiri?"
The man was silent for a brief second, and there's also a slight growl of hesitation inside his beady eyes. He really wanted to deny such truth, but could he really take the chance? And also, seeing Haku has those hope filled eyes, he just can't help it, his will, tempered by years after years of bloodshed, crumbles just like that.
For all intent, the day he took Haku under his wing, he cannot call himself as 'demon' anymore.
"… I heard of the rumor alright. But I thought it was just that… a rumor. Haku, what do you think of the boy?"
If Haku, the teen he trained since young age can be so terrified, then the boy should be the real deal. Facing the copy ninja of Konoha is one thing, but facing against the killer of the Mizukage that drive the age of bloody civil war all by himself?
Even a 'demon' like him still has a brain to think rationally.
"Forgive me by saying this, Zabuza-sama… but, he terrifies me. In front of him, I felt like I'm just a genin… no, a civilian in front of someone of your caliber with nothing but a stick"
A civilian, with a stick huh? Such vivid imagination that Haku has. But at least, with this he could gauge the boy's power… somewhat.
"I see. Alright then, patch me quick, Haku, I still need a few days before I can fully recover"
"Zabuza-sama… is that mean?"

"Home… we're going home"
After all, home sounded better than facing both the copy ninja and a monster that successfully killed the monster that haunts his dream for years.
-With squad 7-
"Kakashi-sensei… I can't keep going, I've no chakra left"
Sakura, the little sister of famously known Luka Haruno whined a little as her body plopped on the grassy ground near the tree she was climbing on with her chakra injected feet since minutes ago, her body drenches in sweat, making her hairs and qipao cling to her body a little bit.
"Well, rest for a while Sakura, then continue, rinse and repeat. You may be able to mastered the tree-walking technique, but that's only because you only had a little chakra container in your body. You need to strain it and make it bigger until you have container big enough for prolonged tree-walking"
Her teacher said off-handedly, not even looking at her and more focusing all of his attention to his other two students that keep failing to climb the tree. Probably because they have larger chakra reverses than hers.
It… still hurt though.
But it can't be helped. Since the day she raged on Naruto without any proof, her teacher never truly gave her any attention anymore, and more like simple off-putting teaching material for her to train with and nothing else.
She had told her mother about it, and her mother also had told the Hokage about this unfairness.
But surprisingly, the leader of Konoha only said something like…
"Unfortunately, Haruno-san. Your youngest children have no punctuality for teamwork, she has a very little chakra reverse that she was tired from simple henge, she has very bad muscles for any ninja works… all she has right now is a good head on her shoulders. Kakashi aren't abandoning her, I assure you, he just can't help but to give her the basic of the most basic of all training until she got better at other things"
But… she wasn't that bad, right?
After all, sure, she has weak muscles, she is dieting to get a good body and so Sasuke notices her. It's not bad, right?
Or at least, her mother said that its not bad, that she also dieting when she was a teen to get the attention of her father, which success. But… every time she ate so little, her teacher only looked at her and shook his head, as if disappointed.
For all intent, even though she has a good brain, it doesn't mean she's sharp when it came to something like this.
Few minutes later, Sakura feel good enough to stand up, albeit with rather wobbly legs. Kakashi-sensei said because she has a tiny chakra container, her chakra refill faster than other people, so it would take her a simply hour or so until her chakra full once again.
"Kakashi-sensei, I'm ready!"
"Hmm, is that so?"
As Sakura tried to show off her resolution, Kakashi merely stares into her feet… her trembling feet.
"Why don't you take a walk around the village before you start training, Sakura?"
"A-Ah… Yes sensei"
Dejected, the girl can only submit and walks away from the training ground. Intent to do what he told her to do. On her walks, never once her knight, Sasuke took a glance at her way.
It was a sad day for Sakura…

"Don't push please! We have enough for everyone!"
"Please make a line, guys! Don't make it difficult for Naruto nii-san!"
As Sakura arrive on the central part of the village oppressed by Gato, Sakura raised her eyebrow in questioning manner when she saw the sight of people taking a line to take some food from… three Narutos and Inari?
'So, this is where the dumb Naruto is… we're training hard, and here he's playing around… I'm gonna smack him really hard!"
Palming her fist with eyes burning with justified anger, Sakura was ready to stomp to her failure of former classmate when suddenly, some people bowed to Naruto.
And here, she paused.
"Naruto-sama! Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Oi oi! I told you people to stop bowing. If you had energy for it, do help Tazuna to create his bridge!"
The said people who bowed laugh, their face brighter than the first time Sakura saw them. yesterday, there's basically no life in their eyes, and Tazuna can only threw his face with guilty look when he saw them.
And here, she was going to punch the very person who make them smile.
'I… I… I don't understand'
Demon is evil… from all books, both myth and some record, demons is evil being. They laugh at people miseries. They love the scream of human as they're dying.
But Naruto? Did he ever do such a thing?
It's confusing… her mother said that he's a demon, one who killed her father without any mercy at all. But from what she can see, the Hokage loved him, her very teacher is somewhat protective of him, and even her sister, who once loathe the boy now adore him like no tomorrow.
Leaning her back against a wall, Sakura kneel and wraps her arms around her legs.
She is… really confused.
-Later (With Naruto)-
"Cat-san… why are you following me? Aren't you supposedly protecting Tazuna-san?"
"I leave some shadow clones for his protection… why did you antagonize that teen?"
As Naruto walking out from the forest, he called on to his back. And just like usual, Cat came right behind him without any sound, her voice tinted with confusion as she asked her question.
"That Haku guy? Well, I told him that I killed the third Mizukage, if I didn't put any show, he won't trust me, then he would probably attack me simply because his cover was blown"
"I see…"
Though not showing it outwardly, Cat was pretty confused just why the boy in front of her called the obviously girl he met minutes ago as 'guy'. But then again, she herself is pretty far in the back when the meeting between the two happened, so he must've takes notice of some thing that made him sure of his conclusion.
Gender doesn't really mean much in their line of work anyway.
"By the way Cat-san… if I also somewhat unfold your ANBU's cover, will you attack me?"

It was a jest really, and maybe sensing this from his words, Cat doesn't really take it at face value, but still, she will give him her best answer.
"Perhaps, it really depends on yourself, Uzumaki-san… I do have some people that know my real identity. Whether I can trust you or not is the question I would ask myself if you somehow uncover my identity"
"Fufu~ don't be so uptight now Cat-chan~ we've knew each other for a long time, you know?"
Hearing the boy's words, the ANBU resist her urge to snort. A long time he said? hah! She knew him long before he knew her existence. after all, she's his protector when he was a child.
As the two walks around, soon, they reached a field of grass, where the sun shine pretty warmly and nicely.
And knowing what the boy wanted by coming here, Cat paused on her walk as he kept on walking until he's pretty far away from her.
And when Naruto thought their distance is good enough, he turned around, right hand holding a rather simple short sword. Face smiling as if his birthday coming early.
"You know what I want, right, Cat-chan?"
"Of course, Naruto… and anyway, I like your present, I will use it wisely on any mission I have"
Silently, and without any sound, the woman pulled out her own sword from its scabbard. A long, beautiful katana with moon engraving on the handle.
As she doing this, her chakra suddenly began to compressed itself to his senses, making it harder for him to sense her with his Kagura eyes.
… this is looking bad.
"And also…"
Swish
It took the woman a simple second as she suddenly standing behind the boy, ready to swing her blade to his neck.
"… You're naïve if you can spar against me with sword alone"

"Give me your best shot, sensei"
Clang!
With a small smirk, but still sweat dripping from his forehead, Naruto said somewhat calmly. His trembling hand is the proof how much how hard it is for him to block the strike from the cat themed ANBU.
Seeing this, behind her mask, Cat let out her own small smile… let's see how long he can keep up that adorable smirk of his.
-Timeskip-
"You know, it's been a week already. Is that man with a big sword going to come after me soon?"
Like usual, in the morning, Naruto, Cat, Kakashi and his squad, Tazuna and his family sit together eating breakfast. The air around them is pretty relaxing, just like the air outside.
Since week ago, Naruto keep feeding the people of wave, and every time the goon from Gato's group came to wreak havoc, he (his clones actually) kicked them out with some broken hands and feet. And thus, now wave is somewhat safe and filled with happy people that already feel good enough to go to fish every morning.
Of course, the threat of Gato is still there after the man ran away after he got report of ninja's presence.
He's waiting for a moment to take back wave once again.
But the people are no longer silent, as Kakashi and his squad protecting Tazuna and his workers, Inari spread the 'words of the Hero' and rally the people to take arms in case Gato came back.
Weaponized with rage, sadness, and garden tools, the men of wave take shift to guard their village every night.
"Yeah, Kakashi, didn't you said it will take one week for a person to recover from false dead state?"
Sasuke said while eating the food, his eyes sharpening, ready to take revenge for the last battle he had against Zabuza. Beside him, Sakura is clenching her hands from fear in remembrance of the event.
Unfortunately for Sasuke, he won't get his wish today.
"Oh… he probably won't. I forgot to say this to all of you, but Naruto here already threaten Zabuza and his accomplice a week ago. So, they're probably already on their way to Kiri"
Not only Tazuna, his family, Sasuke, his teammates, but Naruto also have a shocked look on his face.
Though before anyone can ask what Kakashi meant by what he said, Naruto cut off everyone from talking with his own question.
"You haven't told them? Hatake-san…. Seriously?"
"Well, I did just now. I did say that I forgot, right?"
As if there's nothing wrong with what he did, Kakashi eye-smiled. The plate prepared for him already clean as he ate his food when everyone wasn't looking.
"Now wait here… Naruto, what did he mean by you threatened Zabuza?"
Unaccepting and refuse to believe the words said by his teacher, Sasuke said that with a slight growl. His eyes glaring anger to his former blonde class-mate.
Naruto though, simply raised one of his eyebrows.
"Just like Hatake-san said, I threatened Zabuza. I said to him that if he dares to make a move on the bridge builder, then I'll kill him, plain and simple"
"B-But… why would he… and I also trained hard this week just to fight him again!"
As shock filled Sasuke's heart and mind, cannot accepting the truth given to him, he sputtered, eyes wide with rage.
"Well, you three trained to climb a tree, not to face a jounin who's infamous for killing everyone on his own class to graduate and gaining title 'the demon of the mist'. So, I thought, let's give my former classmates a hand and kick out their enemies, why not?"
Uncaring of the glares given by the Uchiha, Naruto simply shrugged off his shoulders. Beside him, Inari is looking at him with star-struck eyes, seeing his nii-san cool moment.
"So… I'm free to focus on my bridge building today?"
By now, Tazuna and his family already used enough to the emo boy's attic and his usual angry moment. And so, the bridge builder ignored the seething boy and asked that with a rather happy face.
"Yeah, and even if he came, we will protect you, Tazuna-san"
From Kakashi's reassuring words, Tazuna laughed out-loud, happy to have such professional bodyguard like him.
"Hohoho! Then I shall leave my life on your capable hands once again, Kakashi-kun!"
As a man meet man, Tazuna and Kakashi laughed together and toast. Though, from the edge of his eyes, Naruto saw something interesting and can't help but to have a small smile.
'Huh, a rather surprising development… but I guess it doesn't matter'
And after he thought like this, Naruto followed suit and do a toast together just like them.

Because today is the supposed day the bridge will finish, Tazuna is being guarded by everyone from Kakashi group to Naruto and Cat.
They want to see the moment the biggest bridge on history is made.
However, when they arrive on the bridge, each of them froze, seeing Zabuza of all people standing there, behind him, the false hunter-nin that saved him from death a week ago.
What make them doesn't immediately attack though, is the fact that Zabuza himself is currently being circled by Tazuna's workers, each holding shovels, hammers and any other tools that can act as weapon.
And from the fact Zabuza is a jonin level ninja, there's simply no way he would let himself got caught just like that.
"Oi, Kakashi, took you long enough… these gentlemen just won't trust me when I said I just come to talk"
And thus… the excitement on Sasuke's heart died just like that, snuffed like a candle-light while her teacher took a step forward and do a simple eye-smile.
"Oya? I never though you would come here to talk, Zabuza. Not after you rejected my offer to 'turn around' last week"
More specifically, Kakashi asked the man to turn around and he shall act as if nothing happened. Which, Zabuza refused and started to attack him and his team.
"Hmph! Don't think much of it, copy ninja. I would take you on if it one on one battle…" here, the demon of the mist took a small glance at Naruto's way "… but I rather not force it when I know I'm beat"
Nobody missed the glance, though while Naruto simply put his hands on his pants calmly, it was obvious that Sasuke's pride got another hit from the fact the man who almost stood at equal footing with Kakashi seemingly to fear Naruto.
"I see, glad to see you still has a good head on your shoulders"
But then again, even Uchiha know the time when he can't talk until he's allowed to do so, and thus, Sasuke can't do nothing as Zabuza tilted his head until a cracking sound was heard.
Crack!
"Like I said… I've come here to talk"
Ignoring all of the weapons poised to his way, the man dropped his over large sword to the concrete of the bridge and walked until he's face to face with Naruto.
"…"
"… Honestly, you really don't look that much, but I guess even a monster sometime could have such innocent face like yours"
Blue eyes narrowing, and Zabuza's can only snort in amusement. Though his right-hand rummaging on his pocket, searching for something, and as he doing this, the ninjas and civilians around him can only stares.
"Here… just treat it as a sign of goodwill from me"
"What it is?"
A single scroll given to him, Naruto blinked several times to make sure that it was not a trap or something like that. Then again, as Uzumaki, it would be funny if he somehow got himself trapped because of a seal.
"Gato's head"
Gasps filled the area, and uncaring of this, Zabuza turned around and took back his sword from the ground. Beside him, the false hunter-nin that Naruto know as Haku do a single hand-sign.
Slowly, thick mist began to fill the area. Though, before it fully swallows Zabuza and his partner, he said something to Naruto without even looking back.
"Boy. You took from me my revenge, you took my chance to make right, and for that, I'll hate you. However, for what you have done, for my friends you saved, I'm grateful… so, thank you, and may we meet again somewhere in the future"
With that as his last words, Zabuza flees the site, running to Kiri with full speed, with his Kagura eyes, Naruto can see that much despite the very thick mists surrounding him.
And when the mists gone, he gave the scroll on his hand to Kakashi, which he accepted with a small nod.
Today… the wave is finally free from their nightmares. And while it was because of him, to Naruto, that final touch of this chapter came from Zabuza… that demon and his son.
And he will make sure the people of wave know that.
-Later-
"Is this all you can do after a week of training?"
Her words may be demeaning him in some sort of way, as if he's just a student that can't learn anything despite already studying for a week. But inside her tone, he can sense it, the telltale of glee as Cat's sadistic nature become more apparent.

Tears pricked Naruto's eyes as his butt got smacked by Cat's hard scabbard when he lowered his stance a little bit. For all intent, when he asked her to teach him art of sword, he never thought the training to be this intense.
… he's pretty sure his butt already red by now from how many times they got smacked.
Sigh
"This is hopeless… I've told you already, Naruto-san, to fully understand how to move sword in your hands, firstly, you need a good stance, and secondly, you need great amount of focus for incoming danger. Everything will come naturally to you if you have those two"
"Hai, I'm sorry sensei"
He's a Jinchuriki, mortal wound rarely scares him, and thus, it's pretty hard for him to have 'great focus for incoming danger' simply because what can be dangerous to most peoples isn't dangerous to him.
This lesson… is very hard for him and his mindset.
"… Alright, let try doing it other way. Stop your stance, Naruto-san"
Maybe sensing what he thought by looking at his face, Cat soon let out a small sigh of exasperation. Her hand taking out her sealing scroll after rummaging her pocket for a brief second.
And what come from it is the chakra sword given to her by him and a single piece of chakra sealing paper.
"Now Naruto-san, seal your chakra with this… I'll make you know what fear is in a few minutes"
Calmly, the woman threatened the boy while giving him the sealing paper, then walked away until she's standing few meters away from his position while holding one of the chakra blades.
He gave her two, but if she chose to use one, then it must be her preference, or it was her way of holding back.
But still, standing from his place, Naruto can only gulp down his saliva as he feels such pressure from the woman across of him.
She's… really going to get serious.
This is going to be bad for him.

"I… yield… please no more, sensei"
Bleeding and having bruises all over his body, Naruto can only winces as he leaning his back against a tree bark. His eyes looking up toward the ominous figure of his now sword teacher that standing tall in front of him.

Getting his cheeks flushed is easy for Naruto, and with cheeks already pink, he said those words while pouting at his teacher. For him, this should be enough to charm most females that already interested in him, and for those who have more than five hundred percentage lust, this act is basically him giving them 'go on' to assault him.
It worked for Luka, Yakumo and Ido. And he's pretty darn sure that it should work for Kurenai too if he chose to (He just haven't had any time to do it).
However, instead of getting any reaction from the ANBU, said woman simply said something that made him blinks blankly.
"Is that so? Then I guess that'll be all for today"
Eh?
Calmly, and nonetheless carelessly, the ANBU sealed her blade once again, then turned around, giving him the sight of her back as she walks away.
And before he could call on her, she disappeared, leaving him all alone in the clearing.
'W-What? But… but… its more than seven hundred…'
She didn't assault him? hell, she didn't even get flushed like… at all!
He thought she was more than ready to assault him, that's why he asked her to stop their training. But instead of assaulting him, she chose to leave him all alone in this place.
Like… for real?
How?
"… You know, maybe because she's a ninja in a mission or something like that?"
T-true… as ANBU, it wouldn't surprise him if Yugao has her mental capability at far higher level than he anticipated at first. But still… its seven hundred, and there's nothing that should make her think him as uninteresting with his perk [I refuse your refusal].
'Is that mean…'
"Unfortunately, yes… hunt failed for you today, boy"
And for some reason, Naruto feel strange upset feeling after he heard those words from the creature.
Sigh
Geez… oh well, he can't do anything about it now, can he?
Gently, Naruto placed his hand over his stomach and take off the seal placed on him with small difficulty. Said paper seal however burned into ash immediately after he took it off, a proof of it was in the middle of breaking simply by trying to suppress the power he already held back.

Geez, I really can't write lemon at all in this chapter with how thick the plot, can you believe that?
I really, really want to put some here, believe me. But I didn't, simply because I can't let a simple desire to make a lemon create a plothole in my story. sad, but that's the fact of writer I guess.
though... believe me or not, I already made the plot for the next chapter, so it shouldn't take long before I update once again.
