With a roar, Naruto let the infamous technique drilled the boulder in front of him until basically nothing was left but clouds of dust.
And seeing this, Naruto began to take note…
His chakra could give Rasengan a rather painful explosion at the final second, while Kyuubi's chakra could give the Rasengan itself a total immune to defense as the attack easily drill through the boulder as if it was some kind of butter.
… but no explosion happened afterward.
Then again…
"Rasen no yari (spiraling spear)"
A single Rasengan appears on Naruto's hand purely made by blue chakra. And gently, but definitely, with hard effort, Naruto then molded the shape of the attack so that the previously sphere become something like a drill in his right hand.

So, tiring.
And after he is satisfied with the shape, Naruto dismissed the technique, as he already knew how the technique would work in battle.
It doesn't take that much chakra honestly. But the mental task needed to change its shape alone is rather demanding. As for the reason, even Naruto is yet to realize it.
Perhaps because Rasengan isn't made by one layer of spiraling threads of chakra, but many of it?
Thus, by suddenly changing its shape, he also must mentally spin all of those threads in different ways?
Yeah, that probably is.
"Ugh… I could use a short bath now"
His body is sweating, and also…
The chunin exam will start in an hour or so, and because he's one of the people with hierarchical power inside Konoha, he can't be late or his image could be tarnished.

But of course, his gaze focuses more on his first enemy… Hinata.
The girl was able to shock him last month after she defeated the genius of a previous graduate without any visible difficulty. And even now, Sasuke realizes it…
'She has gotten stronger once again'
He doesn't need his super-powerful eyes, Sharingan to see that Hinata has gained a few cm taller and some of her muscles are also more defined.
Oh, her hair also got a little longer… but it's a piece of useless information, so he ignored said information as if it was nothing but trash.
What makes him slightly curious though, is Hinata's eyes.
As she's standing there, talking with her friends with a 'gentle' and calm aura around her, for some reason, Sasuke felt himself pressured.
As if he's staring into a sleeping lion.
He shrugged off the pressure as easily as a newborn baby turning his head.
Hinata might have become stronger, but he also got stronger after his full month of hellish training from Kakashi. Even now, his left hand is still bandaged, a sign of the torture his hand experienced in these four weeks to reach the power to kill Itachi.
And yes, he's sure he can kill Itachi with his new and powerful technique now.
And thinking like this, a large, 'evil' grin appear on Sasuke's lips.

Hell, even her fangs were bare for that small second, as if she were a demon from hell.

And just like everything is nothing but an illusion, Hinata's cute face crouched after she heard what Shino said.
She really wanted to refuse what her friend said, but sensing such seriousness from the heir of the Aburame clan, Hinata felt she cannot say the words boldly.
For all of her change, Hinata is still rather shy when it came to her friends.
"Pfft! Ahahahaha! Good joke Shino!"
Uncaring, Kiba laughed so hard after he heard his teammate's word, his left hand holding his stomach while his right-hand slaps the bug boy's shoulder again and again.
Though, balancing the personalities of the other two, Kiba's laugh doesn't really make Shino feel hurt, as he already knows that this is just how the boy shows his emotion.

Totally ignoring Shino, Kiba walked until he reached the railing and grinned as he saw that hundred and more people slowly coming to the coliseum.
They are definitely excited to see how the five great villages could finish their dispute that lasted for hundreds of years.

"Geez… if only my opponent were weaker, I probably could show those people how Alpha I am"

"Ouch… he probably knew you would use the last seconds count before Sasuke disqualified to make a 'grand' entrance"

Now, it was the three's turn to sweat drop, seeing Kakashi didn't even deny the accusation sent at him and simply nodded as if uncaring about his attitude.

"Anyway, has the VIPs arrives?"
Kurenai asked the three, getting their attention went to the where the Hokage is taking his seat.
The VIPs consist of five Daimyos and five Kages. And while the Kages has arrived more than half an hour ago, their faces definitely show impatient because the Daimyos are yet to come.
Except for the fire Daimyo, that is.
Then again, the man wasn't a tardy person, and so, he was seldom late except when he truly had a proper reason.
Among the five, he's the only one who treats his job seriously.
"But the genins has arrived, right?"

Just as they were talking, Naruto appeared with a red flash. Though, he definitely looked confused when he saw the fight is yet to start.

Kurenai greeted politely with a small smile. Though Asuma and Kakashi were sharp enough to see something hidden emotion inside her smile. Something that made Asuma feel his heart clenches in slight pain.

Ever since he healed Lee from his supposedly permanent disability, Gai started to look up to him and treat him with respect. Something that is followed by Lee.
Lee was understandable, but honestly, why Gai too?

Naruto let out a small smile of amusement when he saw a slight and hidden pout sent at him by the woman after he greeted Gai first, despite she was the one to greet him before the man.
Oh well, she won't be angry at him for that long… after all, it was her request to let their relationship stay hidden. So, by consideration, his action to greet Gai before her is something normal, as the man is the teacher of the boy he saved weeks ago.
Her? she's just a teacher of his former classmates.
Fufu~ maybe it's a rather bad idea to tease someone titled as the 'Genjutsu mistress' as from the edge of his eyes, Naruto easily sees how her eyebrow slightly twitch in anger after he didn't follow up his greet to her with anything.
"Anyway… why the matches are yet to start?"
Sure, he might be late, but the exam should've started without him as he has no real weight in this little chunin exam.
He's just a merchant, not a VIP or something like that.
Thinking like this, Naruto widens his eyes…

And true to his thought, when he looked down, only the fire Daimyo are present while the four others aren't in their seats yet.
"Just as you must have realized, the other four Daimyos is yet to arrives… Hokage-sama can't start without them being present"
After he heard Kakashi's words, Naruto activate his Kagura eyes, searching and looking for the four Daimyos across the whole of Konoha.

The four, stupidly large royalty carriages won't be able to make it within one hour. At the very least, they would need at the very least one hour and a half before all of them arrive.
And of course, Naruto could see how the spectators slowly lost their expectations.
Some even slowly walk out of the arena because of boredom!
And seeing this, Naruto really furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance.
'Stupid Daimyos…'
Geez, it's really fortunate that he was born in the fire nation. At the very least, the Daimyo know the meaning of responsibility and the Hokage isn't that bad, unlike the petty Tsuchikage or battle maniac like the Raikage.
But he does feel bad for his grandfather figure as his image getting tarnished like this.
"… Alright, I'll give these people a show"

Before any of the three can ask, Naruto jumped down right to the middle of the arena, gaining not only the Kages' attention but also the fire Daimyo and the spectators that just now wanted to leave.
"What the hell is that boy doing?"
Asuma is speechless, and the cigarette that was in his mouth fell from his shock.
But ignoring his words, Kurenai just let a single smile appear on her lips as she sees the sight of her secret lover's serious eyes.
He's just so charming to her.

It was like the descent of an angel.
When a blue-eyed and yellow-haired boy jumped from the jonin section right to the center of the arena, no one could ignore his presence.
For the females, they can't help but to find him charming and 'beautiful' in a way that triggers their obsessive instincts. Lust, love, wanton, and every single lustful-like emotion start to pills up on their heart as if they want to come out and explode.
Seeing him alone almost drove them mad from lust.
The only thing that let them resist these feelings toward him, is simply their human morals.
But if the boy himself were to somewhat gave them a seductive action?

The crowd cheered once again after the boy said that, their excitement seemingly wants to explode from their chest from excitement alone.

The most excited among them start to chant, and slowly, the others also start to follow suit.
Like a group of people getting crazy in the haze of excitement.
And perhaps seeing this, the ninjas that aren't affected by Naruto's charisma can only stare at Naruto with eyes of disbelief.
Just what kind of charisma does the boy have for he is able to affect so many people with so few words and no chakra at all?
"Then let's go to our first fight! The granddaughter of current Tsuchikage! Kurotsuchi! And the son of current Kazekage! Gaara of the sand! Get into your position!"
Despite having eyes of uncertainty, Kurotsuchi and Gaara jumped down until they are face to face in the middle of the arena.
"Okay, the fight is fight to death or until the other party said they give up! Any unnecessary harm done to the corpse or continuing attack despite the other party gave up will meet with my slap, understood!?"
As the two nodded, Naruto smiled and raise his hand high.
"Then… fight!"
And after that?
He jumped away.

As Naruto jumped off to the group of Hokages and one Daimyo, his Kage immediately lectured him.
All the while, the old man is ignoring the loud cheers from the spectators.
They've gone crazy just because Naruto said a few, simple words.
Of course, Naruto himself merely let his back lean against the nearest wall and whistled innocently, totally ignoring the sight of five Kages (Ao as Mizu representative) narrowing their eyes at him.
It's not that bad.
But his action can be seen as a declaration of war against other Daimyos that are yet to come.
"Naruto! I'm being serious here!"
For once in his life, Hiruzen raised his voice at Naruto. Though unlike what he thought at first, the boy doesn't seem to care about such a thing.
If nothing else, he found his hand to be more interesting than his grandfather figure words.
"Then Jiji… do you know the reason they're late?"
"?"
Seeing his old Jiji having a look of someone not fully clueless, Naruto snorted a little.
"Jiji, you let yourself get trampled too much. In that way, I guess you aren't that different from the past, you haven't change… at all"
And after he said this, Naruto Hiraishin-ed to the Jonin's side once again to get a better sight of the battle happening, not even waiting for his Jiji to answer his words.

As Naruto flickered off with Hiraishin and gone, Hizuren found himself letting out a heavy sigh and fully leaning his back against his chair.
Of course, not before he bowed to his superior.

Okita Soji, the current fire Daimyo and the ruler of Fire Nation itself.
The man may look unassuming, but despite looking like that, he has many professional guards hiding in his shadow, protecting him from all kinds of threats and executing those he deemed as enemies.
Even Hiruzen must tread lightly when it came to the man's 'might'.
"Ohoho! It's alright Hiruzen. And his words held a tint of truth inside, so why don't we just continue what he did and officially start this exam?"
Despite saying it like that, the man has a somewhat strange gaze when he stares at Naruto that stood on the Jonin section. A gaze which unknown to even Hiruzen.

"Of course, Daimyo-sama"
Bowed once again, Hiruzen called his ANBU and said to the man that the exam can now be started officially.
And the ANBU in question said this to Genma, the one tasked as mc for this event in the first place.

Though totally ignoring his existence altogether, he let himself look down at the match below him.
If the man thought he would forget the incident two weeks ago just because he's acting as if nothing happened in the first place, then he's dead wrong.

Looking back with one eye staring at Jiraiya, Naruto let himself sigh a little.

An invisible arrow hit Jiraiya on his chest, something that made him fold a little in pain. But then again, Naruto keeps continuing.

The fact is, even Kakashi was also his father's student when he was alive.
But what did Naruto do?
Nothing, simply because to him, Kakashi is no one in his life.
And the man in question also knew of this, as he doesn't pry that much into his life.
But, when the situation asked for it, Kakashi would probably protect him and be kind to him, which Naruto would return in kind. You know, like a stranger supposedly treats each other.
This is the kind of person that Naruto prefers and can somewhat respect.

He expected too much.
He expected that Naruto and he would get close instantly just because he was the child's father's teacher.
He expected that Naruto would be interested in his father's techniques.
And the most stupid of all?
He expected that everything was going to happen just like he thought without any complication.

Heard Naruto's words, Jiraiya threw his face away with a solemn look on his face. But then again… Naruto doesn't care.

It was silent, but after they see this, none of the Jonin dares to cut them off, more so when the air feels so thick that you probably could cut it with a knife.

"Yeah, I mean, isn't that cheating? His sands are so fast"
Kiba said while grumbling, but without a real weight behind his words. After all, a ninja isn't expected to fight fair in the first place.
Minutes passed, also probably because Gaara already found himself bored, he started to attack.
And in no time… he won.
None of Kurotsuchi's cold lava was able to stop Gaara's large amounts of sand, while the boy himself easily caught her with his fast sand when she was doing hand-seals.

The people were silent, though Hinata noticed that most of the spectators seemingly biting their lips.
It's as if they're resisting their urge to boo from such a bad performance.
Then again, this is Kurotsuchi we're talking about, the granddaughter of the Tsuchikage, none of them dare to boo at the girl no matter how one-sided she was defeated.
Though still, Iwagakure probably will get a heavy hit to their pride and mission contracts with this single performance.
It was just that bad.
Hinata could even see how Kurotsuchi realized this truth and held back her tears of frustration as she was getting escorted by the nurses to the hospital.

Shino himself doesn't show any response to Kiba's glare and merely stares at Hinata from the edge of his eyes.
The girl is in her cloud mind, giggling and blushing, ignoring all of the people watching her with sweat drops on the side of their heads.
Though just as fast as it came, it has gone…

The smallest whisper of Hinata was easily heard by Kiba and Shino as they are the closest to her.
And after she said it, Hinata turned her feet and walk down the stairs.
Her smile… is something that easily made Kiba and Shino shiver in fear.

Kiba said as the pain on his feet subsided, getting a small nod from the Aburame's clan heir.
Their teammate is strange, but if someone dare to badmouth Naruto within her hearing range, they would see how much monster Hinata actually is behind her shutter and cute persona.

Kiba said as he walked to the fences to get a better view of Sasuke and Hinata's match, beside him, Shino nodded in silent agreement.
After all, among the boys within their former class, Sasuke is easily the one Hinata probably hates the most with his constant bullying of Naruto.

Shino said calmly, getting a sweat drop from Kiba.

Temari cut in with full certainty when she saw the face Hinata made when she and Sasuke face each other before they jumped back to get some distance.
Hearing this, both Gaara and Naruto stare at her with rather questioning looks.

But there's no way she could say to Naruto what she saw from Hinata is literally the face of someone in love.

Ignoring the wry looks given to him, Naruto kept laughing.
Hell, he even placed a bet on Hinata's one-hundred percent win with such a crazy amount of money.

As the dealer gets giddy for obvious easy money (to him) for his pocket, he wrote Naruto's full name under the new condition, which is Hinata's win without any scratch.
And after he did that, Naruto continue to watch the match.
All the while, he's ignoring the watchful eyes of Baki that have been locking on him since he stood near Gaara.
Oh well, let the man do what he wants.

Dodged a few strikes from Sasuke, Hinata let herself jump back a few meters to get some distance from him and to calm her nerves.
Getting a word of good luck from him alone was enough to make Hinata feels happy and giddy inside. But as she heard him placing a bet on her with so much money, her heart can't help but drum in both happiness and shock.
Which is bad when she's in a match.

Unfortunately for her, it only made Sasuke get time to do several hand signs and let out his Jutsu.
Biting her lips from feeling such heat of the incoming Jutsu, Hinata channeled some chakras to her limbs.

The attack from Sasuke was rendered useless as unharmed Hinata came out from the doom of wind and dashed to the Uchiha's heir who widened his Sharingan from shock.

Panting after she called out two clones, Hinata did several more hand-seals and called out another Jutsu.
And it was obvious that Sasuke is getting himself hard-pressed by fighting against two Hinata at the same time while trying to dodge the water snakes coming at him.

With two clones and water snakes, soon Sasuke is forced to ignore the real Hinata.
And he stepped on her divination without knowing.
"Chidori!"
Before Hinata can start her attack, Sasuke super-charged his left hand with lightning, dispelling her two clones when the stray lightning struck them.
Though Hinata herself jumped back before any can hit her.
Her chakra is depleting from the usage of high-level ninjutsu like Kage-bunshin.
And even now, her chakra amount is less than fifty percent.

While panting, Hinata warily stares at Sasuke's left hand, watching the hand clad in such wild thunder.
If she gets close, forget 'scratch'.
She could die.
"Are you scared?"
A smug smile appears on Sasuke's lips as he saw her fidgeting, seeing it as her getting nervous and afraid to get close despite close-range fighting being her specialty.
And watching this, veins bulged even more from Hinata's forehead.

Yes, he explained to her that as Uzumaki, he can heal anyone with his chakra. But if she were to do it by direct bite, not only healing, his chakra will also refill her chakra, and rejuvenate her stamina.

Full of chakra and finding her stamina recovered, in a few minutes, Hinata woke up.
