Sanford: Yes while it is a bit cliche it is so that when Ash meets Chimchar or Tepig he will think about what happened with Charmander and make sure Paul and Shamus pay so there is your explanation.

MidnightRebellion86: Yeah no just like I have stated before Ritchie will be the one to teach Ash and do you think that Ash will go full good yea he may treat his Pokemon right and be a little nice but he will still be pretty harsh when needed so there take it or leave it.
