Author's note: I know I said I would list off the different power level statuses last chapter
but I think I'll just wait until Freiza arrives which shouldn't be too long now.
Yes, I give away that spoiler. Why? Just to get y'all excited and not have to worry about this being a 90k romance story
with Freiza only turning up at the 100k point. ;)
Be kind with me not updating as often. I'm trying to work on writing original stuff that I can publish since sadly fanfic can't earn me cash.
*Sigh*

"Yeah, I asked for it back after Vegeta scolded me for getting rid of it." Smiled Goku.
Vegeta, who had been listening in on their conversation, snorted in derision. "Maybe there's some logic in you, kakarot, after all. But I won't hold my breath."
Goku simply grinned in response, knowing that Vegeta was just trying to provoke him.
"Well, Vegeta, I'm glad you think so. Maybe we can finally have that match I've been itching for."
Vegeta was feeling a mix of emotions - anger, frustration, and a tinge of fear. He couldn't believe that Goku had caught up to him in power level terms, and that thought unnerved him.
But at the same time, the Saiyan warrior in him was thrilled at the prospect of a challenging battle. The hunger for a equal level opponent burned within him, and he knew that only Goku could satisfy it.
"Oh, before you answer that, I just remembered," Goku said to Vegeta. "Kami also told me to ask you, Vegeta. Would you mind teaching me how to not let the ape part of me take control of my mind when I'm, you know...an ape?"
Vegeta let out an exasperated sigh and folded his arms. "Well, I can't just let you run around on this planet wreaking havoc at night now, can I?"
Goku laughed in excited glee, thrilled that Vegeta had agreed to help him. "Thanks, Vegeta! You're the best!"
Vegeta cocked a brow and gave Goku a challenging look. "If you really want to thank me, Kakarot, then how about we have that fight now?"
The smile on Goku's face disappeared, but his eyes still glimmered with excitement. He stood up straighter and gave a nod. "Sounds great. Let's go."
Krillin couldn't help but smack his face at the sight of the two Saiyans itching for a battle.
"Man, not even a minute after seeing each other again, and these two want to have at it."
"They are aliens after all," Tien remarked with a smile, knowing of the warrior spirit that burned within the extraterrestrials.
Goku and Vegeta lifted off of the ground and rose above the trees, ready to face each other in a fierce battle.
Meanwhile Chichi's heart went out to Piccolo as she thought about him.
I'm going to go after him now, it's been long enough. She mentally spoke to Kami. Not hearing anything back, she took it as his go-ahead.
"Where do you want us to fight?" Asked Goku, eager to test his newfound strength against Vegeta.
"Your choice. Let's just do it away from my home and land so we don't risk damaging it," Vegeta replied, his eyes fixed on Goku with fierce determination.
Goku grinned, knowing by his words that Vegeta shared his desire too for a great battle between them. The two Saiyans powered up, ready to take off.
"Wait, Vegeta!" Chichi's voice called out, halting them in their tracks.
Vegeta turned to look at Chichi, wondering what she wanted. Chichi flew up in the air to meet the saiyans.
"I'm going to go check on Piccolo while you two have fun, okay?" She asked the prince.
"Okay." Vegeta gave a nod.
Chichi flew to Vegeta and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, making him smile.
"Enjoy yourselves, you two," Chichi called out as she took off in search of Piccolo.
Vegeta felt a warmth spread through him at the unexpected kiss. He glanced at Goku and noticed the mischievous grin on his face.
"What are you smirking about, Kakarot?" Vegeta asked, glaring.
Goku chuckled. "Looks like she makes you a big ol' softie."
Vegeta scowled, trying to maintain his tough exterior.
"Let's just get this over with, Kakarot," Vegeta said, powering up to his full strength.
Goku laughed, excited for the fight. The two Saiyans shot off into the sky, leaving behind the other warriors.
Goku and Vegeta arrived at a secluded place, far from any civilization.
"Alright, Vegeta. This place is perfect. We can have our match here. Are you ready?" Goku asked, grinning widely.
Vegeta scoffed.
"Of course I'm ready. The question is are you? I'm not going to hold back, Kakarot."
Goku's expression grew serious.
"Neither am I, Vegeta. I'm not the same person I was the last time we saw each other. I've grown stronger and I want to test my new strength out."
Vegeta snorted. "Don't think you're the only one who's grown stronger, Kakarot. Even if you're just as strong as me now. I've been training non-stop, pushing myself beyond my limits in my fighting abilities. You may have gotten stronger and regained your tail, but that won't be enough to beat me." He smirked, a glint in his eye.
Vegeta shifted into a fighting stance, his eyes locked on Goku.
"I'll be charitable and even let you make the first attack," he said with a sarcastic tone, taunting Goku to make his move. "Let's see if you're really as powerful as you think you are, kakarot."
Goku smiled and then in a matter of seconds charged at Vegeta, but instead of throwing a punch, he reached out and grabbed the Saiyan prince's tail, thinking he had the upper hand.
Vegeta let out a dark, mocking laugh.
"Oh, how naïve you are, Kakarot," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "Did you really think I would still have such a childish weakness? You're even more of a fool than I thought."
With lightning speed, Vegeta punched Goku in the nose, sending him stumbling backward in pain.
"I'll teach you how to fix that weakness later," Vegeta said with a smirk.
Goku quickly recovered from the hit and launched himself toward Vegeta, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks. Vegeta dodged most of them, but a few landed squarely on his face and chest.
Vegeta grunted in pain but managed to grab Goku's arm and flip him over his shoulder. Goku landed on his feet and spun around, charging toward Vegeta once again.
The two warriors continued to trade blows, their punches and kicks creating shockwaves that shook the surrounding area. The fight was intense, and it was clear that neither Goku nor Vegeta was holding back.

As Chichi flew above and past the forests, she kept her senses sharp, trying to find any trace of Piccolo's energy signature. Finally, she felt it, and she descended towards the opening in the forest where she sensed him.
As she landed, she saw Piccolo in front of her and she was seeing him in the distance at his side, his knuckles bloody as he pounded his fists away at a tree. She could sense that he had purposely lowered his power level so he could do so without destroying the tree.
As Chichi walked over to meet him, Piccolo's eyes narrowed as he caught sight of her.
"What do you want, princess?" he growled, showing his fangs.
Chichi put her hands on her hips, unfazed by his hostility.
"I just wanted to check on you, Piccolo. Why are you doing this to yourself?"
"It's none of your business," Piccolo snapped. "Why don't you go run off and play with that imbecile and your friends you both share?"
She didn't need time to think to know he was talking about Goku and the Z warriors.
Chichi's expression hardened.
"You're my friend too, Piccolo. Of course, it's my business. I'm just trying to help. So why don't you answer me? Why are you so worked up just because Goku is stronger than you now?"
While he was touched that she considered him a friend, Piccolo's anger flared at the mention of Goku's name.
Piccolo turned to face Chichi, his eyes burning with fury.
"You want to know why I'm so worked up about Goku?" he growled. "Because that damned moron killed my father, technically my father and myself since I'm the reincarnation of King Piccolo," he spat. "All my life I've just been a reject, rejected in my beginnings by Kami as if I were trash. Then Goku did worse than Kami ever could," he continued, clenching his fists.
"He made be look like a joke. I lost to a boy! With Kami, I can't kill him or I wind up dead too, but Goku's a different story.
I wanted my revenge on him one day, and now that chance has slipped out of my grasp for now. I have to train again to get ahead of him again. It's frustrating, and it feels like just his existence while he's stronger than me is making a mockery of me."
Piccolo was looking at the sky, deep in his thoughts.
The Namekian felt a sudden pressure, and he looked down to see Chichi's arms wrapped tightly around him in a hug. He was taken aback, unsure of how to react, but then he slowly returned the embrace. It was the first time anyone had shown him such physical affection before, and it felt strange but good at the same time.
Chichi's eyes were welled up with tears as she looked up at Piccolo, her heart breaking at the pain he had endured.
"I'm so sorry," she said softly, her voice choked with emotion. "I had no idea you had suffered so much. Piccolo, you shouldn't base your worth on defeating others, especially not Goku. You are a person with so much good qualities and you are worthy of love and acceptance just the way you are."
Piccolo's smile faded slightly at Chichi's words, his brow ridge furrowed in thought.
"I understand what you're saying, Chichi," he said, his voice serious. "But defeating Goku has always been my driving force. It's what gave me purpose in the start of my life. Without that, I kinda don't know what I'm living for."
Chichi placed a comforting hand on his arm. "You don't need to have all the answers right now," she said. "But just know that you have value and worth beyond defeating others. You have a kind heart and a strong spirit. And you have a friend who cares about you."
Piccolo was silent for a moment, contemplating her words.
"Thank you, Chichi," he finally said. "I'll try to keep what you said in mind."

Vegeta stood several feet away from Goku, both fighters were battered and bloodied from their intense battle. The air around them crackled with energy as they each gathered their ki, preparing for their next move. Suddenly, Vegeta let out a roar and launched himself at Goku, unleashing a flurry of powerful punches and kicks. Goku struggled to defend himself, dodging and blocking as best as he could, but Vegeta had the upper hand in techniques.
Vegeta then stopped his assault and charged a massive energy ball in his hand, ready to unleash it at Goku. Goku, sensing the danger, countered with his powerful Kamehameha wave. The two attacks collided with a deafening explosion, sending shockwaves throughout the surrounding area.
As the dust settled, Vegeta emerged from the smoke, panting heavily and nursing several injuries. However, he was still standing, while Goku was on his knees, gasping for air. Vegeta smirked in triumph, relishing his victory.
Goku dropped to the ground on his back, panting and battered. Even though he had lost it had been such a close and fun fight. He couldn't stop himself from smiling.
"You see, Kakarot," Vegeta said, "No matter how much you try to surpass me, I'll always be one step ahead of you. You're a fool to think you can beat me."
Goku slowly stood up, wiping the blood and sweat from his mouth.
"Maybe you're right, Vegeta," he replied, "but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop trying. I'll keep training and getting stronger, just like I always have. And one day, I'll beat you."
Vegeta laughed darkly.
"You can try, Kakarot," he said, "but you'll never accomplish it. I'll always be the Prince of all Saiyans, and you'll always be below me."
A smirk formed on Goku's face, his eyes shining with determination.
"We'll see about that, Vegeta."
As Chichi and Piccolo arrived at the scene, they witnessed Vegeta and Goku standing there below them and just by looking at them it was clear who had won.
Chichi flew down to the ground and ran over to her husband, her heart racing with concern.
"Vegeta, are you okay? And what about Goku? You didn't hurt him too badly, did you?"
Vegeta's eyes sparkled with Saiyan pride as he brought Chichi close to his side. He held her with one arm and he couldn't help but feel a deep desire for her, thanks to his Saiyan DNA.
It was a natural feeling that came to him after a fierce battle, a primal urge that coursed through his veins as a Saiyan. Mating and fighting went hand in hand for saiyans, but he pushed those thoughts aside, knowing that now wasn't the time or place.
"Ha! As if Kakarot could ever stand a chance to hurt me," he replied confidently. "And don't worry about him either, Chichi. He's a Saiyan, after all. He's made for this kind of thing and I wouldn't want to kill a little friend of yours."
After the intense battle, Vegeta headed towards the castle to freshen up before his plans with Chichi tonight. He gulped down a sensu bean and proceeded to take a refreshing shower. As he emerged, his body now free of sweat and blood, he changed into clothes.
He stepped out of the castle and saw Yamcha training with Tien.
Vegeta called out to him, "Scarred man, come here!"
Yamcha's movements halted as he turned towards Vegeta, "Me?"
Vegeta nodded, "Yes, you. You're the only one here with a scar that's visible. Who else would I be calling, the baldy?" He made his way towards Yamcha, his eyes fixed on him. "I have a job for you. "I need to know what Earth women find romantic. What different things do they like to do?"
Yamcha grinned. "So you're finally taking Chichi out on a date?"
Vegeta nodded. "I've never taken a woman out before and I want to make it special for her."
Yamcha nodded understandingly. "Don't worry, I've got you covered. I've had my fair share of dates with Bulma. I can help you plan something great."
Yamcha couldn't help but feel a sense of pride that he had gone from a coward with women to a resource for romance for the prince of all Saiyans.
Chichi and Bulma were outside and sitting next to a small outdoor table. They were in the middle of a lively conversation, sipping on their tea and nibbling on some dainty snacks when Vegeta suddenly appeared before them.
Chichi's heart skipped a beat as she looked up at her husband, who stood tall and confident.
"Chichi," he said, his voice low and commanding. "I'm taking you out tonight."
Chichi felt her cheeks flush with surprise and excitement. "A...a date?" she stammered.
Vegeta simply nodded, a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips.
"Be ready by evening," he said before turning to walk away.
Bulma couldn't help but grin as she watched Vegeta leave.
Turning to Chichi, she leaned in and whispered, "Looks like the prince wants to lavish some love on his queen."
Chichi blushed at the comment, but couldn't deny the feeling of excitement that bubbled up inside her at the thought of spending the a normal date night with her husband.
It was near evening now. Chichi rushed to her room with a giddy feeling in her heart, still reeling from Vegeta's unexpected invitation for a date. She was excited but nervous, and she wanted to make sure everything was perfect.
She rummaged through her closet, trying to find the perfect outfit to wear. After a few minutes, she settled on a stunning red dress that hugged her curves in all the right places.
Next, she went to her dresser and started to do her makeup, applying a light layer of foundation, blush, and lipstick. It had been so long since she had wore makeup. it felt so strange to do it again. The last time had been at their wedding.
After she finished her makeup, Chichi stood in front of the mirror and ran a brush through her waist-length hair, smoothing out any tangles. She surveyed herself with a critical eye. She wanted to look stunning for her husband tonight, and she was determined to leave no detail overlooked.
"Chichi, are you ready?" Vegeta called out from the other side of their bedroom door.
"Yes!"
Her heart sped up, and she took a deep breath before opening the door. When she saw Vegeta, her breath caught in her throat.
He had dressed in clothing that complimented his muscular form. Chichi felt a flush rise to her cheeks as Vegeta took her hand, leading her out of the room and into the night.
Vegeta flew through the night sky, holding Chichi tightly in his arms. They soared over cities and towns, the lights below creating a beautiful tapestry of colors. Vegeta couldn't help but admire his wife's beauty.
"You look stunning tonight, Chichi," he said, a hint of a smile on his face.
Chichi blushed at his words and smiled back at him.
"Thank you, Vegeta. You look pretty handsome yourself," she replied, gazing into his eyes.
Vegeta couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment and peace with Chichi in his arms. For once after a long time, he was enjoying a moment with her of tranquility and without the pressures of fighting or training. As they continued their flight, he made a mental note to take more breaks like this with his wife.
Chichi couldn't contain her excitement.
"So, what do we have planned for our date tonight?" she asked, her eyes shining with anticipation.
Vegeta grinned mischievously.
"It's a surprise," he replied, keeping in mind on the directions of the places Yamcha had given him.
Finally, they landed in a bustling city, in front of a chic-looking beauty salon.
People on the streets screamed and scattered in fear at the sight of Vegeta flying down from the sky with Chichi in his arms. He ignored the commotion and made his way towards the beauty salon he had planned for her.
Chichi couldn't help but laugh awkwardly and whispered to him, "We need to remember not to scare people like that again."
Vegeta simply shrugged it off, unfazed by the reaction of the people.
He led Chichi into the salon, his hand still holding hers as they made their way inside. He approached the front desk and informed the receptionist that he wanted to pay for a pedicure and manicure for his wife. Chichi's eyes widened in surprise and excitement as she thanked him, feeling grateful for the treat.
As she sat in the chair, Chichi closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relaxation as her feet soaked in the warm water. The technician worked on her feet, removing the dry and dead skin and massaging her arches. Chichi couldn't help but laugh as she was tickled during the process, causing Vegeta to smile as he watched her.
After some time, Chichi's treatment was complete, and she eagerly showed Vegeta her red-painted nails.
"What do you think?" she asked, wiggling her freshly colored fingers and toes. Vegeta's eyes scanned over her hands and feet, a small smile forming on his face. The way the red nail polish accentuated her flawless skin made her look like a lovely glass doll.
"Good," he replied simply, pleased to see her happy.
As they strolled through the city, Chichi and Vegeta walked hand in hand. The night air was cool and crisp. They reached a crosswalk, and Vegeta came to a stop, waiting for the light to change.
But as they waited, they could hear a group of guys close by, catcalling Chichi and making suggestive and rude comments.
"Hey there, sexy! Why don't you ditch this guy and come with us? What are you doing with a shrimp like him?"
Chichi's face contorted with anger and offense. She drew herself up to her full height and glared daggers at the men.
"Excuse me?" She snapped, her voice sharp as a knife. "Vegeta may not be tall, but he's a hundred times the man any of you could ever hope to be. And he treats me with respect and kindness, unlike you jerks."
Chichi held and leaned possessively on Vegeta's upper arm, showing the men that she belonged to him and no one else. Vegeta couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as Chichi clung to him, displaying her loyalty and devotion.
As the group of men continued to make rude comments, a low growl rumbled in Vegeta's throat. Suddenly, bursts of red energy shot from his eyes and toward the men. In an instant, their pants were incinerated, leaving them in their boxers and briefs.
Chichi couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight of the scared men scrambling to cover themselves. Vegeta gave a small smirk, satisfied with his retaliation, and took Chichi's hand, leading her.
They were now sitting at a table inside a fancy restaurant.
Chichi studied the menu with furrowed brows, taking in the numerous options before her.
"Vegeta, can we really afford this place?" she asked tentatively, scanning the prices with concern. "I mean, I know we can right now, but we should be using our money wisely. I know how you Saiyans eat after all..."
Vegeta raised an eyebrow, and snirked. "Are you worried? Doubting my ability to provide for my family, woman?"
Vegeta couldn't help but chuckle at Chichi's question. He had been waiting for her to bring up the issue of finances. Without hesitation, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small capsule. With a quick flick of his wrist, he released it onto the table. In an instant, a large full cloth bag appeared, taking up almost the entire table's surface. Chichi's eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the mysterious bag.
"What's inside?" She asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.
Vegeta smirked, gesturing towards the bag. "Why don't you take a look and see for yourself?"
As Chichi undid the drawstring of the bag, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation rising within her. As the bag's contents were revealed, she gasped in awe at the sight before her. There were glittering jewels in shades of emerald, sapphire, and ruby, sparkling under the lights of the restaurant. A pile of golden coins and trinkets, some etched with ancient symbols, glistened next to them. And nestled among them all were exquisite pearls. It was as if she had stumbled upon a treasure trove from a lost civilization.
Overwhelmed, Chichi could hardly believe what she was seeing and she felt like fainting.
"How on earth did you get all of this?" She asked, her voice filled with awe.
Vegeta chuckled, feeling a sense of pride at her reaction. "I learned from my father that a good king or royal should try to increase his wealth. During my free time when I wasn't with you or training, I studied what items on this planet were of great value and then went out and searched for these. Except for the pearls. They were easy to make."
A small smirk formed on Vegeta's lips as he thought about how finding treasure was similar to what Saiyans used to do with planets - take and sell.
Chichi's eyes widened further in delight, she couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having such a resourceful and clever partner like Vegeta by her side.
