21. CMM Update 1

Hi everyone, it's Xenonwishes here. Sorry if this isn't the new chapter you've been wanting but it's something I wanted to address. I'm posting to making an announcement regarding the future of Change My Mind.

Don't worry this isn't me putting Change My Mind on hiatus or canceling it all together. I'm still motivated to continue writing and seeing this fanfic through to the end. I want to let you all know about my future plans for the series.

First, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who's taken the time to read through my fanfiction. Whether you've left reviews, fav and followed me, or just read through it, it makes me happy to know people are enjoying what I've written. Without people like you, I may have dropped this story a long time ago. So, thanks again for reading.

I'm going to be re-writing most of the earlier chapters of this fic. I've written this fic over two years, and I want to reflect these changes by fixing the grammar / spelling errors I've made as well as making the writing more fun and whimsical to read.

I also want to improve what most readers, reviewers, and even myself agree on the weakest parts of the story. The beginning chapters and Jayden's lack of presence as a protagonist. Many people have expressed their complaints with Jayden as more of a side character in the early chapters instead of acting like a main character. My intention was to build Jayden up over time but looking back it seems I made him too passive to the point where's he's almost forgettable. I want to fix that. Don't worry, Jayden's character will still be the same but playing a more active role. The events will be mostly the same, with some differences in them so they'll be something new to read if you haven't checked back in a while.

As I re-edit the early chapters by fixing the spelling and grammar errors, I'll also be adjusting some of the scenes as well as removing ones that I feel have no impact or bearing on the story. Some scenes may play out a bit different than you remember so whether your new to fic or have been a longtime fan they're be something new to read.

As of posting this, I'll also be updating the first chapter with a revised version and have other early chapters follow suit.

The last thing I want to mention is that I won't focus solely on revising the older chapters, new ones will be coming out as well, I'll just have my attention split between the new and old.
