As Olivia entered the boutique, she was met by the overwhelming racks of white dresses.
"Welcome to Bridal and Beauty! I'm Ally," the consultant beamed as she moved from behind her desk to great the ladies. Ally was tall and thin with waist-length blonde hair, fair skin, and green eyes. "Which one of you is my bride?" Liv extended her hand to the woman.
"That would be me. Olivia," she grinned.
"Wonderful! And who all did you bring with you today?"
"I've brought by best friend and maid of honor, Casey." The redhead shook the worker's hand. "And I've got my bridesmaids and future stepdaughters Maureen, Kathleen, and Elizabeth."
"Well welcome. You must be excited to start trying on some dresses! What kind of style do you have in mind?"
"I would like something form-fitting and simple, but also timeless."
"And what would the bridal party like to see?" Ally said looking to the three girls.
"A big princess dress with sparkless!" the youngest Stabler piped up.
"A big princess dress with sparkles…" Liv repeated with a hint of apprehension.
"I would like to see her in a long-sleeved dress with lace. Something understated and traditional," Maureen commented.
"Casey?" Liv asked looking to her friend, not knowing what was about to come out of her mouth.
"I'd like to see you in something that accentuates your curves," she returned, smirking as she raised a seductive eyebrow and eyed her friend's chest.
"I think I have a few I can pull," the young girl laughed. "If you ladies want to take a seat on the couch, and Olivia, you can follow me." Ally led Liv past displays of ornate gowns on their way to the fitting rooms. Once away from the other ladies' ear shot, Ally asked the bride about her fiancé.
"Elliot and I met at work 9 years ago when we were each other's first partners. We're both cops. But it wasn't until a little over a year ago that we started seeing each other," Liv blushed. Talking about her future husband painted a grin on her face. "I just love him so much and don't know what I would do without him."
"Aww. I can tell you two seem very happy," the young lady observed as she opened the fitting room door. "Let me go pull some dresses while you go ahead and get changed." When the door clicked shut, Benson pulled her shirt over her head and unbuttoned her jeans, sliding them off so that she was left in her bra and panties. She unfolded the silk white robe and slipped her arms through the holes. Not long after she had switched outfits, there was a knock on the door as Ally returned. "So I have a few options to start," the consultant stated as she hung the dresses up. "Do you see one you want to try first?"
"This one is beautiful!" Benson commented as she held up the skirt of an option before her.
"I thought you would like that one," Ally smirked. The consultant removed the dress from its hanger and held the top open as Liv stepped in.
"It's even more beautiful on," Olivia observed when she spun around and saw herself in the mirror. "I really want to show them this one." The detective gathered the satin as she proceeded out to the showroom. She couldn't hide her excitement as she neared her entourage. Gasps filled the room as Liv rounded the corner.
"I really love it," Benson beamed as she stood on the podium, modeling the pick. It was an off-white satin gown with a draped bodice and spaghetti straps. The material draped her torso until it reached her hips where it hung loosely, ending in a small train behind her.
"Dad is going to love you in this," Maureen replied as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye.
"It's absolutely lovely," Katie praised.
"I agree with the girls, Liv. The dress looks stunning on you. You're absolutely glowing," Casey said amazed.
"I've got one more the thing," Ally mused as she stepped away. She returned with a waist-length veil that she placed on the back of Olivia's head. "Why don't you turn around and take a look." Liv did a 180 to view her reflection, and she was caught off guard by the woman looking back at her.
"I look like a bride," she mumbled, tearing up.
"Oh, Livvy!" Casey bleated as she stood up and walked over to her friend, pulling her into a hug. The Stabler ladies followed, wrapping their arms around Liv.
"Is this your dress?" Ally asked the teary-eyed bride. Liv nodded. "This is my dress."
