Chapter summary: In which Michaelangelo kills his first victim.
Warning: character death.
It's been two days since his breakdown and his family has been walking around him as if he was ready to break at any moment. Which was ridiculous because he wasn't he was fine, really he was fine and so Mikey finds himself going through punching bags after punching bags.
Punching furiously, but it was hard to concentrate because his mind was elsewhere.
It kept taking him to the past where his brothers were being killed one by one and Mikey was unable to do anything.
He was weak, pathetic even.
He couldn't take out Hun.
How was he going to take out the Shredder when he couldn't take out Hun?
He let out a furious scream and punched the punching bag.
It must've been too hard because he ripped through the bag and watched it fall to the ground in pieces.
Raph walked in.
"What do you want?" Mikey sneered. Raph slowly walked out.
He huffed.
Great, just what he needed.
Unless it dawned on him.
Maybe he could take out the Shredder?
He shakes his head as another flashback occurs him seeing his brothers killed again.
Who was he kidding? He couldn't take out the Shredder like this?
It dawned on Mikey he really needed help.
"Hi guys," said April one afternoon.
"April, hi, hey April," said Donnie as he waved.
Raph hadn't taken his eyes off his magazine and Leo was too busy watching Space Heroes.
"Where Mikey?"
"In the dojo going through punching bags," said Raph.
Spike was looking around as if the non-mutant turtle was looking for the youngest. He nudged his head on Raph cheek.
"What? Mikey not here buddy."
Spike head went down, April let out a small laugh.
"That's cute. Does he normally ask for Mikey like that?"
"Raph only lets Mikey near Spike. So, yes he does often ask where Mikey is if he isn't around at all," explained Donnie.
And, just on clue Mikey stormed right on in.
"Mikey where are you going?" asked Donnie.
"Out."
"Out?" asked a shock Leo finally taking his eyes off the TV. "You can't go out especially in your condition Mikey."
"Just watch me," Mikey mumbles.
"Mikey come back here."
Donnie grabs a hold of his little brother's arm forcing Mikey to stop in his tracks.
"What? What is it now?"
Mikey groan and rubbed his head.
"And, this is why you're not fit to go out topside on your own Mikey," said Donnie.
"I'm fine."
"You heard what Splinter said, your time on topside has been limited Mikey," said Leo.
Mikey pulled his arm back and kept on walking.
"Mikey."
"And, what is going on in here?" asked Master Splinter. "Michaelangelo where are you going?"
"He's trying to leave sensei," explained Leo.
"We have talked about this my son, you are not going topside for a while."
"I'm fine though sensei."
"You have used that word often on me and I have let to see it my son.
"But senseiā¦"
"No, butts Michaelangelo this is final. You will stay here."
Mikey glared at the ground and then stormed off back into his room. Splinter sigh.
"Is he going to be okay?" asked April.
"He will be when he calms down," said Raph.
"Indeed, there is a lot of anger around my son at the moment. He isn't thinking clearly so I want you three to watch him for a while to make sure he does not leave and cause trouble."
"Hai, sensei."
Master Splinter walked off leaving the turtles alone.
"Is it just me or does this feel wrong?" asked April.
"What do you mean April?" asked Donnie.
"Mikey being angry."
"He normally isn't. Tired yes, sometimes depressed yes. But never angry. I think he's just disappointed in himself for losing against that Hun character."
"He shouldn't be making deals with street gangs in the first place," said Raph.
"I'm sure Mikey has a good reason Raph," said Donnie.
"And, how is getting yourself in trouble on purpose a good reason?"
"Trust me Raph he really does have a good reason."
Raph glared down at his brother.
"What ain't you telling us?"
Donnie suddenly became nervous.
"Who me? Nothing Raph. I don't have anything to hide."
"Could've fooled me Donnie. You're acting nervous."
"I swear Raph, I don't have anything to hide."
Raph kept on glaring.
"You do seem kind of nervous Donnie," pointed Leo.
"Nothing to hide here. Nope, nothing at all. Oh, look at the time. I still haven't finished that project I'm working on. Damn it, I'll see you guys later. See yar April."
"By Donnie," waved April feeling confused as Donnie dashed off back to his lab.
He was going to kill Hun.
Michaelangelo you really don't need to. Hun does not play in the bigger picture.
Hun was still a thorn to his side and Mikey decided he wasn't worth keeping around.
If he couldn't be convinced to change his ways than he would just end the man life.
He gripped on his nunchucks tightly.
He walked out of his room and checked the pit.
The TV was off.
Raph and Leo were both gone and by the looks of it April has gone home. Donnie was nowhere to be seen.
If he could kill Hun he could kill the Shredder, thought Mikey.
It was almost the proof he needed to reassure himself that he could take care of the Shredder.
Besides, it won't be long now.
It won't be long before the Shredder shows his ugly head of his and Mikey then can take him out.
A flashback occurred and April death happened all over again.
He grunts and walks onwards.
"Hey, Fong. I don't really like this guy," said Sid.
"Yeah, I don't like him either."
"I would rather have the green dude as boss," said Tsoi. "Because this guy is nuts. He wants us to work with some group call the Foot."
"Let's go back."
"You idiot, we can't just ask him like that. There was a deal and the turtle freak lost the deal."
"But Fong."
"He lost the deal."
Hun looked mighty proud and the Purple Dragons frowned.
"Hey, Hun."
They turned their head to see a turtle at the end of the alleyway. Not just any turtle, but a mutant one.
"I want a rematch."
"You again," sneered Hun.
"If I win the gang, mine and you die. If you win then you get to keep the gang."
"What if I want you dead to?" asked Hun.
"Fine, then I'm dead."
Hun cracked his knuckles and let out a laugh.
"Fine by me, freak."
The gang looked between the pair.
They watched Michaelangelo spin his nunchucks and watched Hun prepared himself.
The turtle was the first to move his nunchucks switching to his Kusarigama blades and he went for the kill.
Hun barely moved out of the way, but he wasn't so lucky the second time around and his shirt ended up being torn of. Mikey kicked him in the ribs and the leader went down on the ground. Hun used both his legs to push the turtle back, but Mikey was quickly on his feet along with Hun.
Hun jumped out of the Kusarigama blade, but somewhere between the fight Mikey took Hun sunglass off and tossed them on the ground smashing them with his foot.
"I mean it this time Hun. I will kill you. Either back down now, or don't."
Hun rubbed his neck and then glanced at his broken glasses.
"You'll pay for that freak."
But Hun never got to attack because he ended up being stabbed in the chest with Mikey Kusarigama blade.
He fell to the ground with a big hard thud.
The Purple Dragons tensed as Mikey turned to glare at them.
"Dont cause trouble and don't join the Foot clan."
The three nodded their heads.
"Now, get out of here."
They darted off leaving Hun body behind.
As far as Donnie knows he was the only one out of his family to know that Michaelangelo was gone and he was torn. He didn't know if he should tell them or not leaving him a nervous mess and then to his relief his baby brother came back, blood on his Kusarigama blade.
"Mikey, where have you been? And, why is there blood on your Kusarigama blade."
"None of your business."
He was taken back, by his brother voice so cold and bitter.
"Mikey what did you do?"
"What I have to do."
He slammed his bedroom door causing Donnie to jump.
He sighed.
Oh, how he wished for a carefree baby brother.
