Chapter 49 The basilisk, the bonds and the surprise

14th January 1998, Heirs bedroom, Potter Manor

Harry is waking up by someone saying his name. He hears someone say "Master Harry?"

Harry tries to get up but sees that he is pinned down by Susan, Katie and Astoria. He tries to remove his hands as he can easily lift Astoria off him as she is about the same weight as Luna at least the weight feels the same. Gently he manages to remove his hands and gently lift Astoria off him. He manages to not wake the girls and gently puts Astoria in his place while he leaves the bed.

He says "good morning Dobby I hope you slept well. What is the matter?"

Dobby bows and says "Dobby slept great Master Harry. Dobby is here to inform Master Harry that Goblin Captain Shieldbreaker said that King Ragnok will arrive at 10:30 am with a group of goblins and ask if Master Harry like last time can disable the Goblin and wizard anti-apparition wards when they arrive and when they leave."

Harry says "thank you Dobby. How late is it?"

Dobby says "it is just past 7 am, Master Harry."

Harry says "thank you Dobby. Is Breakfast already served?"

Dobby says "yes Master Harry. Madam Andi, Madam Narcissa. Madam Bellatrix, Sir Dan, Miss Emma, Sir Kingsley, Sir Bill and Miss Fleur are already awake and having breakfast."

Harry nods when Tolney pops in. She says distraught "Master Harry please go to the basement and get Lady Hermione and Miss Daphne out of the dungeon. Lady Hermione and Miss Daphne have worked the whole night to learn as much as Lady Hermione and Miss Daphne can from the basilisk. Lady Hermione and Miss Daphne don't want to leave. While Sir Jacob can for Miss Daphne only Master Harry can for mistress."

Harry asks shocked "the whole night?"

Tolney nods. Harry grabs immediately some training clothes out of his closet and put them on. He has some parchment and ink in his trunk. He grabs it and writes a small note for Susan, Katie and Astoria. Harry says "Tolney take me to the dungeon and if possible be silent."

Dobby pops out before Tolney silently pops Harry out.

14th January 1998, dungeon, Potter Manor

When Tolney and Harry pop in he is shocked and amazed. The Basilisk is undamaged but how Hermione's and Daphne's look shock him. They look dead tired, very grumpy and very anxious. It looks like they are about to fall over if not pass out.

He says silently "Tolney I will try to get their attention. When I call for you take Hermione and I will call Tolly to take Daphne to bed. Alright?"

Tolney says "as Master wishes."

Harry says "for now please be silent when you apparate."

Tolney bows before she silently pops out.

Harry turns back and it seems Daphne and Hermione were oblivious that he was popped in by Tolney. He looks at them and hopes that he would get their attention as they need to rest quickly or it will be bad for their health.

He tries to slowly get their attention but that seemed to work. What Harry surprises the most is that Hermione and Daphne are really working together. It is something he would never think to see. Sure he has hoped when Daphne told him about the marriage contract between them and when he got soulbonded with Hermione. They have the same love for books and gaining knowledge but are still very different.

Harry tries to grab Daphne as he hopes Hermione will hear his voice but Daphne is very nimble and can avoid being grabbed by Harry but she still doesn't acknowledge him and almost looks through when she looks his way. It is however not her normal look when she glares at him with her blue-grey eyes.

He grabs Hermione. Hermione tried to avoid Harry but she isn't as nimble as Daphne. Hermione seems to come back and first struggles until she smells his scent. She stops and says "Harry let me go. What are you doing here shouldn't you be in bed by now?"

Harry releases his tight grip before he turns her around. He asks "don't you know what time it is?"

Hermione asks "what do you mean?"

Harry says "Hermione it is almost 7:30 am. You and Daphne researched the basilisk the whole night."

Hermione gasps and grabs her wand before she non-verbally cast Tempus. Hermione gasps again when she sees that Harry is right her wand shows 07:26 am. Hermione asks "why did you grab me, Harry?"

Harry says "well I tried talking to both of you but you didn't acknowledge me. I first tried to grab Daphne but she is very nimble and manage to avoid me. I noticed that you had the same look in your eyes when you learn something new and study. Daphne had the same kind of look as you, did you know that? I hoped I could catch you and while you tried to avoid me you aren't as nimble as Daphne so I could catch you although it was barely."

Hermione asks "could you let me go? Does Daphne really have it? I am not done with the basilisk."

Harry says "yes she has the same look and yes you are done with the basilisk. You spend the whole night examining the basilisk you are done and need to rest."

Hermione starts to pout what Harry cannot resist. When Hermione pout Harry finds it hot instead of Luna when it is cute but it stirs the same thoughts in his mind. He also wants to make Hermione (like the other girls) happy when she (/they) pout. He know he must not give in but now it is a losing battle when suddenly one thought came to his mind what would make her stop pouting. He starts snogging her.

Hermione likes the snog but wants to stop as the basilisk is only here for a few more hours. She tries to push Harry away but Harry doesn't let her. Normally if one of his girls resists he will stop although only Hermione did twice as there were other people present and now it is only them and Daphne although Daphne doesn't acknowledge them. He knows she resists as she wants to continue researching the basilisk but he needs her to stop before she passes out.

While he encourages Hermione's love for gaining knowledge that increases her own love for it now he needs to stop her before she really passes out or falls over. He also needs a way to make her stop completely so that after her he can focus on Daphne. He may not be completely happy with Daphne he still thinks he can love her mostly because he has a soulbond with Astoria who he even knew less than Daphne and he doesn't want Daphne to hurt herself.

Harry thinks 'first Hermione.'

They are still snogging and slowly Hermione stops resisting. When she finally stops resisting and throws her arms around Harry's neck. Hermione has to stand on the tip of her toes as Harry is a couple of inches taller than her now.

Hermione suddenly feels Harry's hand moving from the small of her back lower to her arse. Hermione wonders what Harry is going to do. When Harry has his hands on her arse he squeezes her arse while pulling her as close as possible which makes Hermione squeal and an unexpected moan while they keep snogging.

When Harry stops squeezing Hermione pulls away with a large blush. She doesn't know what to say until she sees Harry's large smile. She gives Harry a small slap on his shoulder and says "you prat."

Harry can't suppress an even larger smile and asks "didn't you like It 'Mione?"

Hermione blush even harder as she did. She says "that is not the point you shouldn't have surprised me like that."

Harry keeps smiling. He says "I already touched your breasts I thought I was alright."

Hermione says "I didn't say it was wrong I was just surprised."

Harry gave a big smile and says "I hope the snog helped you and I think now you can go to sleep."

Hermione says "no" before she turns around and almost falls over. Harry notices and immediately grabs Hermione around her stomach to prevent her from falling. Harry pulls Hermione up and sees that her tiredness had finally hit her. He looks at Daphne and she is still busy. Harry thinks when he manages to get through to Daphne she will probably be just like Hermione.

Harry says "Tolney."

Tolney pops in while bowing while asking what she could do for Harry.

Harry says "Tolney like I asked bring Hermione to bed. Help her in her sleep clothes and make sure she goes to sleep. I want her to go to sleep no matter what she says."

Tolney bows and grabs Hermione's hand. Tolney says "as you wish Master Harry. Tolney will bring Mistress Hermione to bed, make Mistress Hermione ready for bed and make sure Mistress Hermione goes to sleep. Tolney will not listen to Mistress Hermione until Master Harry says Tolney can."

Harry says "you can always listen to Hermione Tolney, but now she needs to sleep and knowing Hermione she wants to deny that. I don't want her to hurt herself because she is too tired."

Tolney nods and says "Tolney understands. If Master Harry will allow Tolney, Tolney will take Lady Hermione to bring to bed. If Master Harry can Miss Daphne to stop Tolly will help if Master Harry calls for her."

Harry says "thank you Tolney. Take Hermione, after she is asleep you can go continue with what you were doing."

Tolney nods. Harry let Hermione go and Tolney immediately pops silently out.

Harry immediately turns around a Daphne. He can't deny she looks beautiful while she is concentrating just like Hermione when she studies or finds new knowledge. Hermione's ways bite her under the lip which makes Harry have wrong thoughts until Hermione became his wife as now he still thinks get the same a little bit more mature thoughts and dreams that aren't wrong anymore.

For the next five minutes, Harry tries to grab Daphne without stunning her or letting his magic flare-up. Harry isn't sure if he lets his magic flare-up or if it will affect Daphne as what she said still stung although his wives showed him they still love him. He wonders if Daphne can ever love him. Harry push it down but still feels it and think if his magic flare up it can hurt Daphne because of his doubt instead of the love he felt before.

Harry stops thinking and just tries to grab Daphne. After a few more tries Harry starts to see what Daphne does when she evades him. When Harry grabs her high she ducks down before sliding to the side. When Harry wants to grab her around her stomach she manages to almost dance with a pirouette around his hands. When he tries one above and on low she does the same as when he tries to get grab he around her waist.

Harry thinks what made Hermione focus on me will also help with Daphne, but he needs to be firmer as he had Hermione already in his arms to keep her attention. He has an idea but he hopes Daphne doesn't get madder or start to hate him.

He uses his left hand to grab her high which makes her duck down and with his right hand, he immediately slaps her arse. The moment his hand hit her she straights up and turns around with her wand in her hand ready to cast.

Daphne starts to shout "HOW DARE YO…."

She sees it is Harry and she immediately stops shouting, her red face or anger turns to a red blush and she stares at the ground before immediately pocketing her wand.

She says "sorry for shouting. But could you please tell me why you did that?"

Harry is surprised by her behaviour but answers her. He says "well Daphne I tried to get your attention but you didn't acknowledge me. I tried to grab you but you managed to avoid me all the time. I started to see how you avoid me. To be honest to hit your arse was the only thing I could think of to get your attention as even when I stood in front of you, you would look right through if I wasn't there."

Daphne says "I am very sorry Harry. What can I do for you?"

Harry says "you need to go to bed Daphne."

Daphne says quietly "please don't send me to bed Harry. There is so much to find out about the basilisk. I will stay up the night and then I will sleep tomorrow when Ragnok comes to render it."

Harry sighs Daphne also forgot the time. Harry says "Daphne it is already morning, look."

Harry casts Tempus with his wand and the time shows 08:08 am. Harry is shocked as he spends quite a lot of time with Hermione almost 45 minutes. He sees that slowly Daphne's tiredness starts to show and take her over when she looks up and see the time.

She looks shocked at the time. When she looks at Harry she immediately looks at the ground again. She does it because she is afraid she sees hate for what she said to Harry after Leanne. She wants to make it better but she will be crushed if he sees Harry looking at her with hate.

She thinks 'Harry just spanked me. It surprised me but when I knew it was Harry it felt better somehow. If I allow him to punish me by spanking me will it decrease his anger…. will he even do it or will he be glad to do it and will go too far that I am seriously hurt while being unable to sit for some time. No, no don't think like that Daphne this Harry we are talking about he would never hurt me too much even though I deserve it … at least I think so.'

'No, no there it is again this is Harry he will not just as he didn't with Andi and Narcissa even though he didn't know Narcissa well but his godfather asked for it. I have no such luck …. no there I go again I must trust Harry he will not even if I offer it as punishment for my words. Maybe I need to show him love instead of giving him the offer to punish me, that is not showing love.'

Harry tries to get her attention and when he doesn't get her attention her grabs her. This time he can grab her. Daphne seems to get out of her thought by Harry grabs her and pulls her towards him. Harry has his hands on the small of her back. Daphne can't believe how good this feels, how he feels. She is jealous that the others have already had this feeling and not only standing like now but also in his bed. Without her knowing she put her head against his chest which only increase the good feeling. She barely suppresses to put her arms around Harry or put them around his neck and snog him.

Harry gently says "Daphne you should be in your bed. Will you go?"

Daphne wants to refuse but she feels she is very tired and with Harry's gentle voice she can barely deny it. On the other hand, she actually hoped Harry forces her which shocks her as she never had the desire for someone to force her to do this. In her mind when Harry forces her she sees Harry as the strong, powerful and dominating Lord he can be what she hoped for in her naughty dreams and 'dark' corners of her mind when she needs to surrender herself to him or better said he forces her to submit to him.

She slowly nods. Harry says with a happy smile "great. Tolly?"

Tolly pops in. Harry asks if she can take Daphne to her bed and Tolly bows that he will do so and make sure she falls asleep as she heard from her mother Harry would need her for that. Tolly pops Daphne out.

Harry thinks 'now I can finally run to start to improve my endurance before Dan starts with everyone else. I wonder if Astoria, Susan and Katie are already awake.'

14th January 1998, kitchen, Potter Manor

Almost an hour later at 9 am he walks into the kitchen for his breakfast. Normally he has it sooner but with the running and making sure Hermione and Daphne went to sleep he is quite late. He sees many but sees that Hermione, Daphne, Astoria, Katie and Susan aren't here among some others.

Harry says "good morning."

Before Harry is going to sit when Luna asks in his mind 'Harry can you walk to me?'

Harry wonders but walks to her. Luna asks 'can you lean down a bit?'

Harry thinks about what she wants to do. Barely a second later he is right. Luna wanted him to lean down so she could kiss him instead of jumping him with her legs around his waist. Luna kisses him good morning before he looks at Ginny who does the same as Luna but doesn't need to ask him.

Luna hands Harry a potion he immediately drinks. After drinking the potion and taking one full plate of food he suddenly grabs his head. The others wonder what is happening except Luna and Ginny. Ginny also grabs her head and Luna's eyes lose their normally dreamy expression.

Remus immediately asks "Harry is it You-Know-Who?"

Harry takes a few deep breaths before he says "I wish."

Remus asks "what is it then?"

Harry says "the other girls."

Remus asks "Hermione, Astoria, Katie and Susan?"

Harry nods but says "only Astoria, Katie and Susan."

Remus asks "what happened?"

Harry says "it seems Tolney put Hermione in my bed this morning after researching the basilisk the whole night and in my bed Katie, Susan and Astoria were still sleeping. They just woke up and were very surprised Hermione lay in bed with them and not me… finally they found the note I left. Now I only need to tell them why Hermione is in my bed and not her own."

Dan asks "did Hermione forget the time …. again?"

Harry nods and says "yes. When I woke up Tolney came to me that Hermione and Daphne had been researching the basilisk for the whole night. She asked me to make them stop as they didn't want to leave also when Tolney brought me there they look dead tired but didn't stop. They both have forgotten the time and thought it was still yesterday evening or early in the night."

"Hermione didn't believe me until she cast Tempus and saw the time. Daphne did kind of believe me. It was difficult to get their attention but eventually, I managed and Tolney and Tolly took them to bed. Apparently, I wasn't clear to Tolney as she put Hermione in my bed and not in her own bed."

Isabel and Emma smile while Jacob rolls his eyes and Dan asks "then where have you been?"

Harry says "nothing happened I have just been running outside as long as there is no snow I want to make use of it. Also, you want to build our endurance so why not start immediately."

Emma elbows Dan and says "Harry dear Dan didn't insinuate anything we were just wondering where you were also as you are her husband so what you two do is not our business … well until she is pregnant or planning a marriage what cannot happen before the war is over at least we think you don't want to. Also, I think if one of your … wives get pregnant you don't want them to fight with you and Hermione made perfectly clear she wouldn't let you do this alone or without her."

Harry gives a small smile and nods. Emma is completely right.

Around 09:30 am Susan, Katie and Astoria walk into the kitchen. They kiss Harry before taking their place at the table.

Susan asks "Harry, your bathroom is amazing."

Astoria says "it really is even my bathroom in Greengrass manor was nowhere as large, no offence Daddy."

Jacob says "no problem sweetie. I just hope you don't dislike our manor now."

Astoria says "I will never daddy. While I like this manor a lot Greengrass manor will always have a special place in my heart. Also even though Harry has an amazing bathroom in the Heir bedroom and I can only imagine how amazing the Lord's bathroom is. Also, my bathroom in Greengrass is more than I needed, but Harry with all his wives needs such an amazing bathroom."

Jacob smiles at his youngest daughter and can't be prouder of her, especially the way she acts and accepts not being Harry's only wife. Jacob also likes Harry as he does his best to take care of his youngest and while barely knowing her, has a soulbond with her. Also, Harry does his best to keep Astoria and his other wives happy. Jacob hopes Daphne will soon completely lose her whole ice persona with Harry. He knows if Daphne does Harry will do his best to make her happy too. He doesn't know if Daphne will get a soulbond even if they don't it doesn't mean they cannot be happy.

14th January 1998, Potter Manor

After two more plates of food around 09:45 am Harry stands up and says "I am going to take a shower and get ready. Ragnok will be here at 10:30 am."

Harry asks "does Hermione still lay in my bed?"

Astoria, Katie and Susan nod. Astoria says "she was when we left and I don't feel her mind like it feels when she is awake, not even when I focus on it."

Harry says "alright then I will try to be silent."

Kingsley says "Harry just like before Remus and I will meet you in the entrance hall around 10:25 am. Is that alright?"

Harry says "sure, but don't you think it will be disrespectful?"

Kingsley looks at Bill and Fleur before he asks "Bill and Fleur if I and Remus act as Harry's bodyguards will Ragnok find that disrespectful?"

Bill says "I don't think so as we have a war outside. As long as you don't attack Ragnok without good reason, don't glare at him as a threat and also do not look down on Ragnok for being a Goblin it should be no problem and maybe even admired."

Harry says "alright then I guess."

Harry stands up and says "Now if you excuse me" before immediately going to The Heir's bedroom.

14th January 1998, Heir Bedroom, Potter Manor

Harry silently opens the door and there in his bed lays an angel. One of his angels, one of his wives and one of his Ladies Potter Hermione Jean Potter née Granger. He walks toward her and he can't believe how beautiful and cute she looks when she is asleep. He is happy to see that she is sleeping and she sleeps peacefully without worrying about not fully examining the basilisk and what she may have done in her younger years.

Harry went to one of his closets and grab out some nice looking clothes. Even if King Ragnok sees Harry and his family as Goblin friend he still needs to look good to be respectful and also to make a good impression that he is honoured Ragnok comes to him to oversee the rendering of the basilisk.

Harry goes to the bathroom to shower and dress. Almost half an hour later Harry leaves the bathroom and sees Hermione is still asleep. Hermione lies on her stomach with her face on Harry's pillow. Harry sees that Hermione is sniffing his pillow. As the room is quiet Harry hears Hermione purring which makes her only cuter.

Harry thinks 'it seems Hermione still has some cat-like behaviour.'

Harry chuckles as he wonders if you throw a ball of yarn towards her if she gets excited, but it explains why every meal time Hermione has at least two glasses of milk. He knows Hermione will be mad if he tries the ball of yarn but he can't help to wonder. He kisses her on her forehead and notices that despite the last couple of nights she wears the nightdress with Gryffindor colours again.

Hermione surprises Harry by pulling him down onto the bed and partially on top of her. Harry says "Hermione I need to go and meet Ragnok in a couple of minutes."

Harry looks at Hermione's smile. She continues purring which shows that she is still asleep. Harry gives her a gentle kiss but prevents it from turning into a snog as he needs to go downstairs, unfortunately, Harry kissing Hermione always ends up in a snog no matter how hard he tries to not let the kiss turn into a snog. It takes a couple of minutes before he can gently get out of her grip snogging the whole time as the snog made her slowly lose her grip.

14th January 1998, Potter Manor

Harry arrives in the entrance hall right on time. He sees Remus and Kingsley already ready.

Remus says "hurry up Harry it is 10:28 am."

Harry nods and immediately descends the stairs and walks to the Potter crest on the wall. He puts his hand on it. Within a few seconds, he had dropped the goblin anti-portkey wards and the (Potter) anti-portkey wards. Harry can do it quickly as he learned the first time how to do it.

Harry removes his hand and a little over a minute later Ragnok and his personal guards portkey in. A few seconds later groups of 12 other Goblins portkey in. Ragnok gives a nod and Harry places his hands again on the crest to erect the wards again.

Ragnok says "may your enemies fall by your blade Lord Potter."

Harry says "may your gold always flow King Ragnok."

Ragnok looks surprised. Harry sees and says "I have read up on Goblin customs in the little free time I had."

Ragnok says "very appreciated Harry certainly as Goblin friend. I was just wondering if one of your wives taught you or you just knew as Lady Luna knows our custom. This is the rendering squad I tasked with the basilisk, this is the Captain Slicer."

Harry says "ah yes Luna is full of surprises."

Captain Shieldbreaker says something in Gobbledegook. Ragnok says "Captain Shieldbreaker says you have bought some building material. I would like to see what you have done with it if you don't mind."

Harry says "of course. I think it will be wise to do that first. If you follow me."

Harry starts walking to the front door followed by Kingsley and Remus before Ragnok, his guards and the rendering team follow. When they are outside Harry walks to the north before a little to the east. On the north side and a little on the east side of the manor is the vegetable garden, bushes with berries and a couple of fruit trees while on the west side of the manor with the front door is a rose and lily garden they walk past. It looks very well maintained.

They see the Quidditch field north of the manor when they are on the east side of the manor before they start heading to the northeast. Ragnok and the goblins are already seeing where they are heading. A large wooden building not far from the Manor.

Harry says immediately "King Ragnok I will advise you, your guards or the rendering squad to not attack no matter what or who you see."

Ragnok wonders why but agrees. Just as he agrees out of the wooden building a Cerberus comes. The goblin guards take defensive positions around Ragnok. Ragnok shouts something in Gobbledegook. The captain asks something back. Ragnok answers what sounds angry. The royal guards' captain nods and orders his man. They drop their defensive position and return behind Ragnok again.

Ragnok says "I am sorry Lord Potter but my personal guards are the best although in this time a little impulsive regarding me or my family's safety. I hope I did not offend you."

Harry says "it is no problem. I can understand as my first encounter with this Cerberus was anything but friendly."

Harry shouts "Fluffy."

Fluffy hears his name and without thinking, he rushes toward Harry. Everyone especially the goblins are surprised by the name except Remus and Kingsley. The goblins want to protect King Ragnok but Ragnok was mad when they took defensive positions before in Gobbledegook he said to appreciate it and praise them for the quickness but that they should trust Lord Potter, not only as goblin friend. Also as he hasn't lied to them in any way showing him to be trustworthy also that any dangerous creature would be attacked by Lord Potter what didn't happen therefore would more than probably not dangerous.

Fluffy stops in front of Harry and lies his three heads down. Harry starts to pat Fluffy which makes Fluffy very happy but the three heads start to pant and try the push their own head to get petted. Finally, after almost 10 minutes and Harry thinks he petted every head equally he says "as yes sorry but Fluffy is quite how should I say it…."

Suddenly they heard "he is a big puppy sometimes and really likes to get pat. Almost like a big baby who wants to be spoiled. Hello Harry, Remus and Kingsley ...oh and goblins."

It is Hagrid. Hagrid doesn't seem to know how to greet goblins and he says "greetings."

Ragnok greets him back without being disrespectful as he is a friend of Harry's. If he wasn't Ragnok would be rude or barely acknowledge him.

Harry says "Hagrid this is King Ragnok of the Goblin Nation."

Hagrid looks shocked and says "what was it now? Uhhhh ... wasn't it, may your gold always flow King Ragnok."

Ragnok looks surprised and says "as may yours Mister Hagrid. May I ask why you did do it before Lord Potter introduced me."

Hagrid says "I don' wan' ter be disrespectful ter the royal family or high ranking goblins o' Gringotts an' the goblin nation. I mostly forget when I am in Gringotts although I barely meet goblins."

"Professor Flitwick…. Filius tried ter explain it ter me an' taught me one basic greeting after I went with Harry ter Gringotts before his firs' year. I wan' ter apologise fer me earlier greeting an' fer not bringing Harry ter his account manager but professor Dumbledore didn' mentioned it ter me."

Ragnok says "of course, Professor Dumbledore forgot to mention it."

Harry sees that Hagrid doesn't like that but before Hagrid can get angry if not worse. Harry says "I think we can better go to the basilisk. Hagrid I think you need to go inside and talk to Luna. There are some things you need to know."

Hagrid wonders what Harry means but nods and says that he will go shortly.

Harry smiles and says "great. Oh yes, Ragnok I will show you the barn before we will go to the basilisk."

Harry walks into the barn and to his surprise are all the hippogriffs there. Buckbeak and his mate are at the nest while the others almost look like to guard Buckbeak and his mate. Hagrid has followed them.

Harry asks "has Buckbeak mate already laid an egg?"

Hagrid shakes his head but says "if I look at how they act it won' take long anymore as they barely lemme look at Buckbeak's mate wha' is a sign it is close."

Harry says "please let me know when she does."

Hagrid says "sure, Harry. Now I need ter feed 'em before lunch an' I can talk ter Luna."

Harry says "then I won't keep you as I also need to do some things before lunch."

Hagrid bid them farewell.

On the way back Harry says "we made the barn for when it will start to snow and give Hagrid stone and wood to make his own cabin as he has at Hogwarts. He is familiar with living in a cabin and I don't know if we have any beds where he can sleep and that is not to mention some doorways and closets for his clothing may be a bit too small for him. Also with his own cabin, he can make it how large he wants and add another wooden or if there is enough stone a stone building where Fluffy and his giant half-brother Grawp can stay to sleep, rest and stay close by Hagrid which will certainly help Hagrid. Fluffy and Grawp. I do wonder where Grawp and Fang are, however."

Harry hears in his mind 'I can ask if you want Harry.'

Harry thinks back "if you would Luna thank you. I hope they are alright. Let Wissey know I don't know how long the renders will be busy so I may have a late lunch.'

Luna thinks 'alright love I will let Wissey know when she starts with the lunch.'

Harry smiles and asks 'can one of you wake Hermione up and Astoria can you wake Daphne up after lunch to see if they are rested and if they are hungry?'

Harry hears all of them besides Luna agree as Luna needs to talk to Hagrid so she can't wake Hermione up.

14th January 1998, Dungeon, Potter Manor

After a couple of minutes, Harry and the group enter the dungeon. Ragnok and the render squad light up when they see the almost 1000-year-old Basilisk. Ragnok says something in Gobbledegook and the render starts examing the Basilisk.

Ragnok says "Lord Potter the rendering squad will first examine the Basilisk to look for any damages and the quality of the parts. At first glance, the agreement seems to be more than satisfactory."

Harry nods and grabs his wand. The guards know that Harry is a Goblin friend even before coming to the manor and don't grab their weapons but are ready to attack him and give their life for their king. Harry waves his hand and two comfy seats appear. Harry takes a seat and offers the other to Ragnok. Harry would conjure more but he remembers the last time when he took a seat in the office Kingsley and Remus remained standing to act more as bodyguards.

After a few minutes, the renders say two things. Ragnok smiles and says "well Harry you must have really not seen or very humble as the Basilisk is not 50 feet, but when completely stretched it is a little over 83 feet. Because of the amount and the age, there is more than enough skin but apparently, the skin is stronger than normal and very rough which will make it a bit longer before the armour is made as it is more difficult to make the armour and first need to be made smooth but will strengthen the amour more than it normally is as the snakeskin is very strong. I don't know how long but I think the first ones are not later than the end of February."

Harry nods but says nothing.

After almost 45 minutes the renders are still busy. Harry, Remus and Kingsley see that they have been looking for more than 15 minutes at the same part of the basilisk carcass. Also, they are touching and whispering, not that it matters as what Harry, Remus and Kingsley hear are that they talk in Gobbledegook. Harry wonders if something is wrong but also the next time have Bill or Fleur with him as they can tell him what the Goblins were talking about. He doesn't know if Fleur is as good as Bill but that is for another time.

They see the Goblins nodding before the captain walks towards King Ragnok and says something in Gobbledegook. Ragnok looks surprised and very curious.

Ragnok turns to Harry and says "Harry the renders think they found something very curious and wish to open the basilisk up to confirm their suspicion. Is that alright?"

Harry says "that is as long as it doesn't prevent the making of armour …. and our agreements still stand."

Ragnok nods and says "of course, Harry. What the renders suspect will not change the agreement and by cutting the snakeskin doesn't make it unable to be made into armour."

Ragnok gives the order. The renders bow before they start working on it. Almost ten minutes later nearly an hour after they started to examine the basilisk they manage to make the first cut that pierces the Basilisk's skin.

Within a minute they gently pull two things out of the basilisk. They carry it to Ragnok. Ragnok asks Harry to conjure a small table with two pillows where they can put the item.

When they put it on the pillow Harry, Kingsley and Remus look shocked. The renders pulled what looks like two eggs out of the basilisk. Harry says "it looks like eggs."

Ragnok says "it looks like that because they are."

Harry says shocked "I thought Basilisk can't lay eggs as Basilisk are born from a chicken's egg, hatched beneath a toad."

Ragnok says "normally that is the way to get a Basilisk however there were rumours long forgotten by the wizards that Salazar Slytherin manage to make a Basilisk carry an egg to hatch it instead of using a toad although I am not sure if it is chicken eggs or real basilisk eggs. It was never proven that Salazar Slytherin succeeded or that it was even possible, but this is proven he tried and apparently succeeded twice."

Harry asks shocked "succeeded?"

Ragnok nods and says "yes succeeded although the basilisk didn't hatch it we are almost certain that chickens but most likely basilisks are in these eggs and still very much alive. I must guess I think Salazar made sure that after this Basilisk died the next Basilisk would be able to continue the noble task and as he wasn't certain if one survived so he placed two eggs to increase the change. Why the eggs didn't hatch after this basilisk died or even how the creature inside is still alive we don't know."

After almost a minute of no one saying anything Ragnok says "maybe only Lord Slytherin or if there is no Lord Heir Slytherin can open the eggs. Harry as you are Lord Slytherin and can speak Parseltongue maybe you can open it if you want to."

Harry asks "why would I want to do that? even to two eggs! The other basilisk almost killed me."

Ragnok says "that is true but as you are a Parseltongue I am almost sure that if you raise the new basilisk or basilisks from the moment they hatch you can control them."

Harry says "honestly Ragnok, almost sure. I am not so sure."

Ragnok understands and says "of course Harry it is your choice as the eggs are yours by our agreement."

Harry nods when he hears in his mind 'Harry Hedwig suddenly went crazy, start hooting and flying around the manor trying to find a way into the dungeon we think.'

Another says 'she was waiting by the closest door to the dungeon. When she noticed we wouldn't open it so you would not be interrupted she started to fly around to find another way.'

Harry knows Hedwig wants to get to him as he can't think of anyone who would send him a message well maybe Mr. Weasley but he has asked for Hedwig to stay on the grounds or at least in the wards. Even if Hedwig will ask him he will not let her go but Hedwig will know that so she would go without asking him.

Harry asks "can one of you bring Hedwig here. I think it is better, for now, to only let one of the Ladies Potter do it as it is Potter Manor.'

Ginny says 'I will bring her Harry.'

Harry answers back 'thank you Gin.'

A few minutes later Ginny enters the Dungeon with Hedwig on her shoulder. The moment Hedwig sees Harry she almost gives a happy hoot before flying to Harry's widening shoulder she can now easily sit on before she starts bumping her head and then hoots something that shocks Harry even more.

Harry happily says "thank you, Ginny."

Harry sighs in defeat and says "Hedwig you can't be serious."

Hedwig hoots. Harry says "but what about the danger."

Hedwig hoots again and Harry says "but we don't know for sure."

Hedwig hoots which pique Harry's interest as he asks "what do you mean? I can bond with the basilisks but not like Tom did in my second year? My bond will not force the basilisks? If I don't force them they will not fight against it so even if I am weak or exhausted while also do not need the power to keep the bond if I bond them in another way?"

Hedwig hoots and Harry asks shocked "and you want me to do it?"

Hedwig hoots again and Harry asks shocked "and there are others like Buckbeak and Fawkes?"

Harry says "Hedwig I don't even know where Fawkes is or even if I will ever see him again. I don't even think he will come when I call for him and I don't want you to go look for him. Maybe Buckbeak does and even if I offer it I am not sure he is going to be a father after all. He needs to take care of his mate and child I cannot ask him that."

Hedwig hoots which ends with a smile on Hedwig's face as much as an owl can smile. Harry is the most shocked and asks "please tell me you are kidding?"

Remus asks "what is the last Hedwig said, Harry?"

Harry says "Hedwig says that even the Hungarian Horntail will accept if I ever see her again and just like Fawkes she thinks I will see them in the coming month."

Hedwig hoots and Harry says "I don't know if Hagrid wants to with Fluffy I mean Fluffy is already his and Fluffy does listen to Hagrid completely."

Hedwig hoots. Harry says "I know Hedwig but you are a whole different and unique animal ….."

Harry feels and knows Hedwig doesn't like to be called like that although she knows she is. Harry immediately says "although you are more a companion and a friend you know that."

Harry gives her a scratch which makes her hoot happily. Harry doesn't know that Ragnok has been following the entire situation and knows what the owl if Harry really understands his owl, talks about. It is a bond that is almost unknown to wizards and witches. There has been a time that wizards and witches have known about the bond but it is a long-forgotten time. The bond is for the animals but also for the wizard's benefit. The purebloods probably found it ridiculous that it is for the wizard's benefit and made the bond illegal although there was no law to Ragnok's knowledge not that with the state of civil war laws and following laws are the furthest away from many wizards and witches, especially in Harry's group.

Ragnok wishes he was in Gringotts where he can call a runner to get him what he needs.

Ragnok says "Lord Potter I know what you owl is talking about. It is a bond long forgotten by the wizarding world. It is a bond from a long-forgotten time. The bond is lost to the ages by the dark purebloods. However, as we don't follow your ministry we still have that knowledge. I don't know how your owl knows about the bond but what your owl says according to you is almost accurate but it seems your owl doesn't know the whole bond or 'accidentally forgot to tell you something."

Harry asks "Hedwig?"

Hedwig hoots something that sounds regretful.

Harry scratches her and says "I would prefer if you tell me the truth but I don't mind right now. However, I do want to know everything you know and with what Ragnok knows if he wants to share I am sure we can make an educated decision. Maybe we need to think about Hermione and Crookshanks too."

When Harry stops scratching her she bumps her head to Harry very affectionate. Hedwig just keeps on what makes Harry a bit awkward as Hedwig has never been this affectionate but Harry knows she loves him as he loves her even if she isn't happy with him sometimes and shows him by biting his ears or finger when he did something dangerous or reckless what he did quite a few times since he entered Hogwarts not counting Quidditch.

Ragnok says "Harry as there are a few other things we need to discuss besides the Basilisk after we are done and I need to return to Gringotts. I can grab what we have and what I think you need before I return here to discuss the other things we need to."

Harry nods and says "I guess then I wait before I decide."

Ragnok nods. It takes another half an hour before they are done. They have spent an hour and a half examining the basilisk. The captain says something and Ragnok stands up. He says "we are ready to transport the basilisk. Lord Potter if you can drop the Portkey wards."

Harry says "of course. Don't forget the snakeskin for when she was smaller."

Ragnok barks to the rendering group. Four Goblins walk to one cell of the dungeon and each Goblin return with piles almost three times the size of the goblin who carries it of snakeskins."

Harry says "I will disable it so you can Portkey from here."

Ragnok says "the renders will. I will join you in the entrance hall and do it from there if you don't mind."

Harry says "of course not Ragnok."

Harry focused on his Potter ring and therefore the wards. It took a bit longer and more power to find the wards through the ring but he succeeds. When he is done he only nods. The Goblins understand and Portkey out with the basilisk and the snakeskin.

Ragnok stands up as does Harry. Harry vanishes the chairs and starts walking to the door.

14th January 1998, Entrance Hall, Potter Manor

When they enter the entrance hall Jacob who is with Isabel says "ah King Ragnok what am I happy to see you before you return. If you don't mind I have a favour to ask."

Ragnok asks "Lord Greengrass what is this favour you ask for?"

Isabel asks "Harry dear can we talk to King Ragnok in private?"

Harry says "or course Lady Greengrass. If you will excuse me I will be in my office. King Ragnok I will keep the wards down for the next half an hour. Is that enough time for you to return?"

Ragnok says "I think so if not I will let the guards stationed here know how much time I need and the expected arrival time if I need it."

Harry nods before Ragnok and his guards Portkey out. Harry walks up the stairs followed by Remus and Kingsley.

When Harry left Jacob asks "King Ragnok I know it would be rude at any other time to ask this of you but I hope with the current state of civil war and the danger my wife and I are in including our daughters you would please allow me to ask this favour."

Ragnok says "I will at least listen to it, Lord Greengrass."

Jacob says "I think that is the best outcome at this moment."

Jacob and Isabel start to tell what happened between Harry and Daphne when Jacob requests something normally the Account Manager will do.

Ragnok says "I understand and while I normally never do this as it involves Lord Potter and you give at least a little bit respect to us I will do the favour but if there is going to be next time you better contact your own account manager of Lord Potter's Account Manager if he allows it as you are family of Lord Potter."

14th January 1995, Lord's Office, Potter Manor

As soon as Harry walks in he takes a seat at the desk. Remus and Kingsley both conjure a comfy chair for themselves. They are surprised when they see the chair isn't as comfy as Harry's chair even though they wanted to. Hedwig still hasn't left Harry's shoulder. She stops bumping hear but that is because she put her head against Harry and sometimes moves her head by pushing against his head.

Nothing is said while they look at Harry. Finally, Kingsley can't wait anymore and asks "do you know what you are going to do about the eggs?"

Harry sighs and says "I don't know. Hedwig wants me too and honestly, I am curious too. Also, this probably makes Hermione and Daphne less mad if they are as they can examine a living Basilisk even if they are small for now. On other hand, Hermione is probably furious that we have two basilisks."

"I hope if I can bond them or something like that the basilisk will listen to me. I don't need them to be obedient or something especially not forced but if possible I need to make sure the basilisk will not kill or petrify anyone."

Remus says "I understand Harry, but if you can bond with them think about how useful they can be against Tom. Even if the basilisks are small, their venom while maybe not deadly later can still hurt and weaken enemies not to mention that the basilisks can probably prevent Tom's snake from sneaking away and attacking us as they can follow and even stop them as their skin is already resistant to bites from other animals at least that is what I read."

"But if you can't we need to make sure the basilisk isn't born or make sure we kill them as soon as they are born. I know it is a dangerous choice but I think we should at least or better said you should at least try to bond them."

Harry says "maybe you are right Remus. However, even though this is Potter Manor I think we should ask the others about what they think I should do."

Remus can't suppress the big smile. He is so proud of his cub. Harry knows he will be responsible and needs to kill Tom but he doesn't act like Dumbledore. Harry doesn't decide something like this on his own while he has the whole right as this is Potter Manor. Dumbledore didn't listen to anyone and decided no matter where they were like Grimmauld Place.

Almost 25 minutes later Tarpy pops and says "Master Harry King Ragnok has returned, but he has a Miss with him and refuses to tell Tarpy who the Miss is, and wants to discuss it with Master Harry."

Harry says "can you ask him to come here to discuss it or does he prefer somewhere else?"

Tarpy pops out and comes back within the minute. Tarpy says "Ragnok would like in private in this office Master Harry."

Harry asks "Tarpy could you escort him here as I think most of the others are busy."

Tarpy happily says he will. The moment after he pops out Remus and Kingsley stand up before vanishing from their chair and standing behind Harry.

A few minutes later and Ragnok walks in with a few guards.

Harry conjures a comfy chair and says "please Ragnok take a seat. Tarpy says you have a girl with you?"

Ragnok says "indeed Harry, but let us first talk about what you owl was saying."

Harry says "of course. Have you found anything?"

Ragnok smiles for how far a goblin can smile and says "I have. We don't have a very detailed book about the bond but I think it is enough to make an educated decision."

Ragnok grabs a book from somewhere and put it on the desk. The book is called animals bonded with the(ir) master.

Ragnok says "it has many bonds in them including the one your owl talked about…. at least what I think he did. It also has information about if your soulbonded are affected and how."

It is a very big old book. Harry asks "something pressing I need to know about."

Ragnok says "it will be easier if you are the first human they see and you talk Parseltongue to them. The bond is difficult if they are older but as the other adult animals have encountered you before it will help in creating the bond. The hippogriff Buckbeak seems to like you a lot and Fawkes the Phoenix does too as he saved you with his tears. I have thought about the dragon I think as you defeated her in the sky she may respect you and therefore want to bond if your owl is right."

Harry says "I trust Hedwig completely and unfortunately she mostly is right. The only one who is more right with things like this is Luna."

The thought of Luna can't help but make him smile. His smile grew when he sees all his other wives join Luna in his mind even his betroths and all smiled at him.

Ragnok asks "well maybe you should ask Lady Luna if Hedwig your owl is right?"

Harry says "well as basilisk can be dangerous I need to ask the others what they think. If Luna knows something she will tell me."

Ragnok nods and says "that is wise although if you bond the basilisks they can become valuable for the fight against the Dark Lord."

Harry says "I know. Now can you tell me who that girl is that you brought and why you brought her here?"

Ragnok asks "where are the eggs if you don't mind me asking?"

Harry says "it is no problem at this time they are still in the dungeon. As I left I close the door using my Lord ring. I think no one can enter …. Well, maybe my Ladies Potter can."

Ragnok says "ah yes Bonecrusher and I want to congratulate you on your soulbond with Susan Amelia Bones and Astoria Ann Black née Greengrass. I do want to apologize we didn't do before with Lady Hermione Jean Potter née Granger, Ginevra Molly Potter née Weasley and Luna Pandora Potter née Lovegood. And the expected Veela Bond with Gabrielle Delacour."

Harry says "thank you Ragnok I appreciate it."

Ragnok says "now we can discuss the girl I brought here and the reason why. Do you want to know who it is and why I brought her here or also where we found here and why he found her?"

Harry says "please tell me the whole story unless it takes too much of your time."

Ragnok nods and starts "even though the Lestrange House is now completely gone even though you got everything from the Lestrange House including the manor through Madam Bellatrix Black. The deed was in the vault and as we don't need a manor it went to you as did all properties although the manor is the only one noteworthy in England."

"As the Lestrange's put an abomination in their vault. They put the Hufflepuff Cup that was made in a Horcrux in their vault. By agreement with the ministry of magic, we can find the house. If the house can't pay we deliver them to the ministry for a price and they can do what they want. If the ministry doesn't want them they are put to work in the mines. However, as we pride ourselves on privacy not many breaking of our laws and rules are found. Also, the ministry seldom uses the agreement unless they use it against us when wizards or witches did something to Goblins or part-Goblins."

"We decide on a fine against the family but as their vault was empty per our agreement we decide to enter the manor. As you don't live there and have not been there yet. I sent two full guard squads and a group of curators. They have made a summary of all items inside the manor with a value that can pay the fine although there is not one item that can cover the fine."

"Anyway when they entered the manor it was mostly deserted they made a discovery that wasn't shocking until we learned more."

Harry asks "And that is the girl?"

Ragnok nods.

Harry says "please don't tell me you found her in the dungeon or worse in the dungeon, abused and raped? How could she have survived."

Ragnok says "no Harry quite the opposite except the loneliness for many years she was well-taken care of. According to her at least once every week as long as she can remember a woman came by to make sure everything was alright and had food ready for the next week and she wasn't allowed to leave her room. I think it is best you see her as I think you will find out why she was in the Lestrange manor."

Harry says "all alright Ragnok."

Ragnok nods to his guards and the guards leave. A few minutes later there is a knock. Harry says "enter."

The first who enter are more of the guards who probably stayed downstairs. Then the girl enters before the other guards enter.

Harry automatically says "Bellatrix is something wrong?"

The girl looks confused. Ragnok smiles and says "Harry that isn't Madam Black that is the girl that was found in the manor."

Harry says confusingly "oh" as she looks exactly like Bellatrix. Harry suddenly realizes what Ragnok means that he will know when he sees her.

Kingsley and Remus look shocked until their attention gets drawn to Harry when he shouts "this is her daughter isn't she?"

Ragnok nods and says "according to her she is. She says that her mother is Bellatrix Lestrange and has been told that her father is the dark lord. She doesn't know if that is true, the woman said she was."

Harry asks the girl "what is your name?"

The girl looks like she is Bellatrix's twin and acts just like Bellatrix does when she is around the others. She acts very shyly. She says "my name is Delphini."

Harry says "why were you in the manor?"

Dephini says "I don't know. The woman forbade me from going out of the room. The woman said I would be punished if I left the room as she would know. Please tell them to bring me back I don't want to be punished. The woman did it before when I tried to explore the manor. Within three minutes she was there to punish me. She used a dark curse. The Cruciatus Curse."

Harry asks "when were you born?"

Delphini says "according to the woman I was born on the 7th of October 1981."

Harry almost asks happily to Ragnok "Ragnok shouldn't she be the heir?"

Ragnok knows Harry talks about House Slytherin. Ragnok shakes his head and says "no Harry. At the time her father was still the Heir as he didn't take the Lordship, but not only that House Slytherin can only be continued by males unless all males are dead then the first girl will carry the Regent Ladyship until a boy is born who will get the Heirship and can become Lord at his majority. The Dark Lord however never went to us for the ring. He lost Heirship to you at the end of your second year when he used his Heir of Slytherin title to challenge you what you won."

Harry nods and asks "did anyone see her?"

Ragnok says "beside my guards, the manor guards and your house-elf we don't think so."

Remus whispers in Harry's ear "we can't send her back."

Harry glares and whispers back "I know we can't not only as she knows I am alright and Kingsley is alive she is also Bellatrix's daughter. I don't care about her being Tom's daughter as she looks more like Bellatrix in her looks and character."

Kingsley whispers "that is good of you Harry seeing her as an allies daughter instead of your enemies daughter."

Remus whispers "I agree Harry but we need to know. I think you should use your Lord of House Black to force her to answer truthfully as she should be as Bellatrix is a Black again. It may not work completely but it should be enough."

Harry says "Ragnok could your guards take her outside for a minute as I need to see what the best course of action is."

Ragnok nods and says something in Gobbledegook. Delphini is forcefully pushed outside by a couple of guards.

Harry says "I want your opinion. I think it is best to get Narcissa here and talk with her about it not to mention maybe Narcissa knows who the woman was that saw Delphini every week."

Kingsley and Remus agree with Harry.

Ragnok says "it is your choice, Harry. However, you need to take her in as we as Goblins don't take in humans. I do advise you to make her do a magical vow that she does not acknowledge her father and only acknowledges her mother. It may be wise to give her the surname as Black like Madam Bellatrix is."

Harry searches for one of his girls in his mind and tries to decide who will keep quiet about what she saw even if he needs to ask. He decides on Astoria as she seems not busy and this is a House of Black matter. He decides Astoria need a vote in this she wears the Lady Black ring after all.

Harry focuses on Astoria and thinks 'Astoria I need you to come to the office and bring Narcissa. …. Oh and Andi, but not Bellatrix it will become clear when you are here."

Astoria says 'alright Harry we will be right there.'

Harry says to Remus, Kingsley and Ragnok "we need to wait for a few minutes. I asked Astoria to come here with Narcissa and Andi as this is also important for them. I ask her to not bring Bellatrix at least not yet."

A few minutes later Astoria walks in with a shocked and looking angry Narcissa and a very confused Andi.

Let's end here for now. In the next chapter, Andi and Narcissa meet their new niece. We will find out why Narcissa didn't know about Delphini before. Harry talks with Mr. Ollivander, Dan started the endurance training with everyone and he retrains himself with knife fighting and throwing. If words allow it Luna will tell Harry when she thinks the animal Hedwig says that will come, will come and Harry learns about the bond.
