Hello lovelies, I am so happy to be able to put up a new chapter to this story. I was going through my stories since my college switched to online classes and I saw that I had a chapter already written and waiting for me to upload. I aim to try to put up a new chapter for Rebirth of an Angel but I am finding it hard to advance past the first episode. If anyone is willing to be a beta for the story just for me to bounce ideas off of, I would be grateful. In this time, I can only hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe during the social distancing that is at least in effect in Michigan. I'm not sure if other states are following this or what other countries are doing, but I want all of my followers from wherever you are to stay healthy during this time. Even if you do not leave a review, if you read my stories, I am immensely grateful for you and wish you the best.

Well, with that, I will get on with the magic.

musicluver246: Hello again. Thank you for the review. I am always happy to get some feedback on my work.

Riddicks-gurl1988: Hello lovely. Thank you for your review. I'm happy that you like the Sookie and Alcide pairing because I honestly loved that pairing when I watched the show. It felt like Sookie and Alcide had a real connection. As for the events to take place in this chapter, ou shall see what route I took.

LoubellRose: Hello lovely. I know you said that you'd love to read more so here is the new update.

Anastasia91: Hello lovely, I'm happy that you love this story. Here is the new update and I hope you enjoy.

dragonegyptianblue: Hello lovely, I am glad that you like the idea of training Sookie. I wanted her to be able to fend for herself as well as have some extra protection going through the rest of the story. Namely *cough*Russel*cough*. I am not quite sure how that arc is gonna play out, but we will all figure it out as the story goes on.

Whew, there is all of the reviews and I am so happy that I had so many waiting for me after the last chapter. The only thing that I have left is the quote and then we can get on with the new chapter.

The next morning I made sure to call Afi Alric and my Ammas before I even thought to bring up the idea of bringing Sook to Alfheim to Sook herself. After taking a shower I dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a tank top then sat in front of my vanity table mirror. I had my magic glow an amethyst color on my fingertips as I traced the rune for communication into the glass.

"Alfheim konunglegur setustofa(Alfheim royal lounge)," I said for the destination of the call. My reflection swirled like a whirlpool before the image of my grandparents relaxing in the lounge that only the royal members of Alfheim were able to access.

"Afi Alric, Amma Sigfrid, Amma Vestele," I greeted them with a wide smile.

"Dagheiður(Dagheiðr)!" Amma Sigfrid exclaimed when she saw me.

"Góðan daginn Dagheiður(Good morning Dagheiðr)," Afi Alric returned, his silver eyes dancing with happiness.

"Til hvers skuldum við snemma morgunsímtal(To what do we owe the early morning call)?" Amma Vestele asked. Even though they all seemed to be in a good mood, I could tell that the news I was about to spring on them was going to dash that good mood quickly. Unless, I start with the Light sister news. Yeah, that definitely sounds better.

"Ég hef fullt af fréttum til að deila(I have a lot of news to share)," I admitted.

"Segðu(Do tell)," Amma Sigfrid encouraged.

"Jæja, ég er í þráhneigðri trúnni í staðinn fyrir bara parið(Well, I'm in a mated triad instead of just a mated pair)."

"Svo sálin skiptist(So the soul did split)," Afi Alric mused.

"Nafn hans er Eric Northman og hann var einn af vikunum um þúsund ár síðan(His name is Eric Northman and he was one of the Vikings about a thousand years ago)," I told them with pride.

That seemed to catch all of their attentions.

"Ég hef einnig fundið ljós systir mín(I have also found my Light sister)," I added.

"Hver er hún(Who is she)?!" Amma Sigfrid practically beamed at my words.

"Sookie Stackhouse. Hún hefur vakið ljós hennar, en hún hefur enga til að kenna henni hvernig á að nota hana(Sookie Stackhouse. She has awakened her light, but she has no one to teach her how to use it)."

"Þú átt barnið í fallegu konunni sem horfði á þig þegar þú flutti(You mean the granddaughter of the nice woman who looked after you when you moved)?" Amma Vestele asked.

"(Yes)."

I could tell that Afi Alric wanted to argue against the idea but both Amma Vestele and Amma Sigfrid were quick to jump to Sookie's and my defense. Amma Vestele wanted to repay Amma Adelle for what she had done for me while Amma Sigfrid wanted to help Sook because she was the one who knew the most about Fae magic.

"Fínn(Fine)!" Afi Alric exclaimed after a few minutes.

"Hringdu henni á morgun og við getum hugsað um tíma til að byrja að læra hana(Have her call tomorrow and we can think of a time to start teaching her)."

"Já, Afi Alric(Yes, Afi Alric)," I agreed with my own smile.

"Komdu nú út fyrir að hætta við símtalið(Now get out of here before I cancel the call)," Afi Alric grumbled to which I had to suppress my laughter. I said one last goodbye to everyone before I canceled the call. I'll call that a victory, I guess. Maybe I'll grab a breakfast bar then head over to Sook's. She'll be happy to know that someone will be able to help her with her abilities. When I got down to the kitchen, I had meant to just grab a breakfast bar but Valka and Astrid insisted that I eat an actual meal for breakfast. To compromise, they made me a fruit pizza that would be filling yet would be something small.

"Þú gætir tekið restina af því til Sookie(You could take the rest of it to Sookie)," Astrid suggested when I had insisted that the whole pizza would be too much for me. I relented and sat at the kitchen table to wait for the meal to be ready, all the while nibbling on some leftover berries from Alfheim. Seeing as though Sookie was a fairy, eating these berries should be fine for her. Instead of the two hours it would have taken to make the pizza, their cooking magic had it finished in ten minutes. I thanked them for the meal as I packaged it all up into a container before I headed over to Sookie's house. On my way over, I ran into Tara on the way up the driveway.

"Hey Tara," I greeted her with a smile when I saw how genuinely happy she was.

"What happened to you? You look like you just got the greatest news."

"My mamma stopped drinking," Tara smiled in uncertain giddiness. "And this morning she made me hoe cakes."

"You haven't had that since your grandma was alive," I commented.

"Turns out Mamma could always make em. She just didn't."

"Well I am happy for you Tara," I told her, stopping so that I could wrap her up in a hug. Tara was all too happy to return the hug and just relax in my arms.

"I bet Sook will be happy to hear about it too."

When we came in through the kitchen, I saw Sookie in the oven who was probably just cleaning. Tara took it as Sookie trying to kill herself and made to run forward to pull Sookie out, but I put my arm out to stop her. She gave me a panicked, questioning look at my actions that I answered with a motion for her to wait a moment.

"Hey Sook, Tara's here," I called over to her to get her attention.

"Just a minute," she answered. While Sookie finished up what she was going, I directed Tara over to the kitchen table where I opened the container of fruit pizza. I offered a piece to her and she happily took one.

"What brought you guys over?" Sookie asked us, removing the dust mask that she had been wearing while cleaning the oven.

"I brought over some breakfast to share," I told her as I held up the container.

"And Tara has some news to share with you."

At the mention of her good news, Tara grew happy again.

"Mamma stopped drinking and made me hoe cakes this mornin'," she grinned.

"How long is she going to keep that up?" Sookie questioned, grabbing a piece of the fruit pizza and sitting across from us.

"She says that she's gonna stay sober," Tara admitted in shock. "I didn't believe her at first, but when I smelled her breath all I smelt was maple syrup."

"You might want to keep sweet things stocked up in the house," I pointed out. "Some people turn to sweets or some sort of food to compensate for their cravings for whatever substance they were addicted to."

"I'll keep that in mind," Tara said as she rose from her seat.

"You're not staying?" Sookie asked her.

"No, I just wanted to stop by to tell you guys about my mamma. I have someone else I wanna go see."

"Well don't let us keep you," I smiled with a little wave.

"Then I'll see you later."

Both Sookie and I watched her leave through the door and I made sure that she was a good distance away to start talking with Sookie.

"I found a way for you to get training with your powers," I told her that had her brightening at the news.

"Really? Who's gonna teach me?"

"My Amma Sigfrid. She had my mother who is half fairy, one fourth light elf, one fourth dark elf."

"When is training gonna start?"

"I'm not sure. Afi Alric told me to have you call tomorrow to see when training would begin. However, I could teach you some superficial things you can do with your magic. It won't be attacking magic, but it will be something."

"I'd like that."

"Then why don't I help you clean the rest of the house and then we'll sunbathe together? We'll catch as much sun as we can before the rain gets here."

"But the weather forecast said that it wasn't going to rain."

"The weather man can't be right 100% of the time," I told her. She gave a little shrug saying that I had a point before we both ate the last of the pizza.

"That was so good," Sookie sighed in contentment. "Who made that?"

"My handmaidens Valka and Astrid. I was just going to grab a breakfast bar, but they wouldn't let me out the door without some sort of actual food."

"They sound like they care for you," Sookie smiled.

"Yeah, I care for them too. We've been together since I was a child. They helped my mother raise me and took care of me when my parents had work."

"I don't think I ever asked what happened with your mother," Sookie commented with a thoughtful look.

"I only remember you saying that she isn't around right now, but she was when you were a child."

"She was killed," I told her after a deep breath. "We're not exactly sure who killed her, but we know that she was murdered. I was the one to find her body."

"I'm so sorry," Sook told me with understanding in her eyes. "That's how you were able to keep it together when we saw Gran."

"That was a small part of it," I admitted. "But the most part was you. I had to stay strong for you cause you needed a rock to anchor you."

"Thanks for that. I don't know what I would do without you. If it wasn't for you, I would be neck deep in trouble."

"Don't think nothing of it Sook. We're Light sisters. Your safety and happiness is my happiness."

I held up my hand and Sookie didn't hesitate to clasp hers with mine. We both smiled at each other and a mixture of purple light and golden light mixed together in complete harmony. When our light died down, I gave her a big smile.

"Now why don't we go get this house clean then go soak up some sun?"

Instead of having Sookie use the human way to clean the house, I encouraged her to use her own magic to clean. I had her use Irish Gaelic for her magic versus the Nordic language that I use for my magic. At first she was surprised that she could perform such feats, but was happy that she could. In about fifteen minutes, we had the whole house spotless and then we lounged outside under the sun's rays.

"You know," Sookie began while she got comfortable in her chair. "Before when I found out what I was, I thought that being a fairy was lame."

"No species if lame," I chuckled at the way she said it.

"Each and every species has its own strengths and weaknesses."

"What is a weakness of the fairies?"

"Let's see...iron is one for sure. Lemons, limes, and poppies."

A look of shock than surprise registered on Sookie's face as she realized where her allergies came from.

"What about elves?"

"We have the same weaknesses that humans do," I said. "Even though elves can live longer than mortals and even some supernatural beings beings, we can die in battle. However, it does take quite a bit of damage for us to actually die."

We lapsed into a comfortable silence with each other until Sookie spoke up.

"I have another question."

"What's that?"

"You said that the elves have a soulmate they call a hedr, right? Do any other supernatural creatures have that?"

"Yes, but you can just call them Supes. It's what most of us call each other. Let's see...The Weres have mates that is similar. Vampires do but most choose their Blood Mate instead of having someone born for them. Fairies are like vampires in the sense that they have someone who is bonded to their Light. Both vampires and Fairies don't have the luxury to break off their bonded or Mates so they will take some time to make sure that the person is the one they want."

"Are there any rules or codes that each Supe has?"

"There is definitely some for elves and werewolves, but I'm not sure about the others. I haven't really had a chance to talk with other species."

We spent the rest of the afternoon talking about Elven rules and conduct as well as the code for werewolves.

"That seems kind of sad that servants are branded like that for life," Sookie commented when I had told her about the way elves are given the marks on their faces that defines their class. While all of the other classes choose to be marked with the marks, only royalty and the servants are born with the marks. However, servants could choose to enter into serving someone rather than be born into the class.

"It's not bad, at least for my family," I told her. "We all treat our servants like friends and family. In my case, I ask all of my servants if they want to serve me. If they do, I keep them on, but if they don't, I release them from the servant class."

"What about the other nobles who have servants?"

"Not everyone can be so kind," I winced. "But I do not tolerate any abuse of the servants in my presence. One of the drawbacks of a monarchy, I suppose."

For some reason, after I thought back to our mate discussion, I remembered Alcide's reaction to Sookie.

"Say Sook?"

"Hmm?"

"Would you ever think about dating a Supe? Well, besides Bill?"

"I don't know. I guess I would. I don't think I've ever met one besides you, your guards, and your brother and sister."

"Well, what did you think of my brother?" I smirked since she had brought him up.

"I don't think I should be talking with you about that."

"Oh come on Sook. I can take someone making thirsty comments about my brother."

"Why do you assume that my thoughts will be like that?"

"I was just guessing," I shrugged innocently. "I mean, my brother is easy on the eyes."

"I'll give him that," Sook agreed. "But he reminds me of a puppy."

There was a moment of pause as my mind tried to confirm that that was what Sookie said before I broke out in deep laughter. I can't believe that she had called my brother a puppy. That would definitely be a shot at his ego if or when I tell him.

"That was hilarious," I sighed once I had gotten my laughing fit under control. By now the sky had started to darken a little.

"C'mon Sook. Let's head back in. I can teach you a little trick so that you don't have to pay for any more candles."

After eating dinner together, Sook and I sat in her kitchen while the rain came down outside.

"Alright Sook, with this spell you'll be able to make balls of light that will float around the house."

Her eyes held excitement when I rose from my seat.

"For me, I would say ljós and picture the balls of light forming in my hand. You on the other hand I think would say, solas."

"Solas," she repeated that caused a flicker of light to appear in her palms. She looked disappointed at the lack of results but I was impressed that she was able to get any light to show up at all.

"It's alright Sook," I said. "You're not going to get it on the first try. It's just like the spells from this morning. Everything takes time. Why don't you try just visualizing the ball of light in your head for a few minutes before you try again. Magic is all about seeing something in your head and having enough will to make it happen."

Her eyes shut in concentration that also had her eyebrows furrowing and her nose scrunching up.

"How big is the light Sook?" I asked to try to get her to think more about the structure of the light.

"About the size of a tennis ball."

"What color is it?"

"Gold."

"How does it move?"

"It's like a bubble with a fire inside."

"Good. Now try the spell again. This time think that you really need some light. That the whole house is pitch black and you are the only way you'll get some light."

She took a few breaths to steel herself then tried uttering the spell again.

"Solas."

In a rush of light, one ball of light took form in her hand that lazily rose into the air to hang around her head.

"There we go Sook," I grinned at her success. "Why don't you try making more and spread them throughout the house?"

All I got was a bright smile from her before she dashed off through the house with balls of light trailing behind her. While I'm happy that she is having so much fun with her new powers, I hope that she doesn't overexert herself. We do have work tomorrow after all. Oh well. I'll just try to feed her some medicine that might help replenish her magic store before she heads to bed. As I finished that last thought, I could feel a rush of a presence coming towards the house quickly. My senses were on high alert at the intrusion, but I calmed when I felt the familiar presence of Eric coming towards me. A smile broke out on my face without thinking about it and I eagerly headed to the front door where I waited for him.

"Gott kvöld, Eric(Good evening, Eric)," I greeted him when he came to a stop on the porch.

"Desdemona," he returned in a husky tone that made a warm tingle go down my spine.

"Ég tek það með allt að fara vel með Fangtasia(I take it everything is going well with Fangtasia)?" I asked as I gestured for him to enter.

"Ég er hræddur um ekki(I'm afraid not)," he sighed in irritation. "Ég hef eitthvað sem ég þarf að ræða við þig og litla ljósa(I have something I must discuss with you and the little blonde)."

I could tell that what he wanted to talk about was important, but I couldn't help but want to laugh at his referring to Sookie as 'the little blonde'. Business first and then I can laugh with Sookie about it later.

"Hey Sook," I called out into the house. "Can you come to the living room? Eric has something he would like to talk with us about."

"Be right there!" she answered.

"Afhverju er herbergið fullt af boltum af ljósi(Why is the room full of balls of light)?" Eric questioned when he saw the floating lights that filled the room.

"Sookie var að skemmta sér(Sookie was having fun)," I chuckled.

"Ljósin gerði þetta? Bara hvað nákvæmlega er hún(The blonde did this? Just what exactly is she)?"

"Hún er hálfviti. A kynslóð fjarlægur hálfleikur, en hálfleikur allt það sama(She is a halfling. A generational distant halfling, but a halfling all the same)."

Eric said nothing while he settled down on Sookie's couch as he took in the information. By that time, Sookie came into the room to stand beside me.

"Hello Eric," Sookie greeted him with a polite smile.

"Good evening Miss. Stackhouse," Eric said.

"What did you want to talk about?" I prompted him.

"Someone has been taking money from me and I would like the both of your help so that I may catch them. From the way that the money was being taken, I would expect that it has been going on for some time."

"If they were able to slip under your notice and Pam for so long," I thought out loud.

"This can't be a human. But I promise that I will stop over at Fangtasia tomorrow night after work."

"I'll help too," Sookie added. "If he is someone important to you Des, then I will try my best."

"Thanks Sook," I smiled in gratitude.

"Of course if the person turns out to be human, they must be turned over to the human police."

"I promise nothing Little Fairy," he stated at once. Sook made to argue with him, but I quickly shook my head to convince her not to waste her breath. I was 99% sure that it was a vampire stealing from them, so the human police would not be needed. She gave a huff at my head shake yet she said nothing after that.

"Well, Sook, I'm going to head back home," I told her. "I'll have Cory stay over for the night to make sure you're safe."

"Okay," Sookie smirked, looking from me to Eric and back. "You make sure to get some rest for work tomorrow."

I rolled my eyes at her not so subtle teasing about having sex with Eric.

"Trust me Little Fairy," Eric grinned cockily, slinging an arm around my waist.

"If I were to bed her, she would be getting no sleep until the sun rises."

Sookie couldn't help but laugh at Eric's words while I looked at him unamused.

"Well, we're not going there without Storm so you're shit out of luck."

"We can still perform many sexual acts without penetration," Eric pointed out with an intense look in his blue eyes. It was then that Sookie realized that the teasing had stopped and he was serious for she gave me a little shove.

"Both of you take that to Des's house."

"As you wish," Eric said as he threw me over his shoulder.

"Gods damn it Eric, put me down!"

"I can't seem to hear you Little Valkyrie," he said without breaking his strides to the front door.

"Cory, I need you to guard Sookie for the night," I called back to my guards who were no doubt hanging around Sookie's house.

"Eins og þú vilt, hátign þín(As you wish, Your Highness)," was his only answer as he headed inside the home.

"Sookie, make sure that you are over at my house at 9 am sharp," I added before I forgot.

"I promise!"

Seeing as though I was probably not going to be let down from his back any time soon, I let him continue to carry me across the way to my home. A sort of calm seemed to wash over the both of us as we crossed the barrier between my home and the outside world. He didn't even stop to let me down when we reached the inside of the house. He just kept walking until we reached my bedroom where he stopped right before my bed so that he could take off my shoes.

"Ég get afklæðst sjálfum mér(I can undress myself)," I told him when he moved on to my shorts.

"Nú hvar er skemmtunin í því(Now where is the fun in that)?" Eric teased with his blue eyes sparkling with mirth.

Even though I felt like I needed to be a little irritated with him, I couldn't help but feel a warmth in my chest at how open Eric was being right now. It made me want to get closer to him and the first thing that popped into my head was having a blood exchange with him. While I could take care of myself, it would save me some annoyances of not having to deal with some vampires who wanted to get too close.

"Eric," I said once he had removed all of my clothes and was in the process of laying me down on the bed.

"(Yes)?"

"Ég vil hafa blóðaskipti við þig(I want to have a blood exchange with you)."

He seemed to freeze slightly at my offer and his eyes quickly snapped to mine.

"Ertu viss um elskhuga(Are you sure lover)?"

"Já. Ég vil að við séum nær án þess að þurfa að stunda kynlíf(Yes. I want us to be closer without having to have sex)."

"Eins og þú vilt, litli Valkyrie minn(As you wish, my little Valkyrie)."

Eric was quick to stand back up and remove his own clothes so that he too was as naked as I. I took in his gorgeous and sinful body at the foot of my bed before I reached my arms out to him to invite him closer. A smirk was given as he sank down on his hands and knees on the bed then prowled forward like a jaguar. Once he was above me, I wrapped my arms around his back from under his arms while his forearms rested on either side of my head. Carefully Eric leaned down to take in my scent from my neck while I did the same to him. To me he smelled like the forests that surrounded the capital of Alfheim and all of the trees that grew tall and sturdy. While I was taking in his scent, I could hear Eric taking in my scent greedily.

"Viltu fara fyrst(Do you want to go first)?" I offered him when I felt his tongue run along my neck where my pulse was the strongest. The sound of his fangs dropping was all the answer I needed.

"Drekkið síðan, elskan mín. Drekka blóðið mitt og næra mig. Vinsamlegast læknið bitana eftir(Then drink, my love. Drink my blood and be nourished. Just please heal the bites after)."

That was all the encouragement that he needed to sink his teeth into my flesh. A moan escaped my lips at the way his lips were massaging the skin of my neck while he took pulls of my blood.

"Nú er komið að mér(Now, it's my turn)," I murmured before I bit into his neck. I could feel him shudder in pleasure at the feeling of my teeth sinking into his flesh and his blood pouring down my throat. As we both drank, I could feel a mental bond forming between the both of us. While most people who had bonds with vampires had only feelings shared and dreams about said vampire, I could feel something deeper happening with us. I could actually feel and hear all of the thoughts and feelings he was having at this moment. I had no doubt that the same thing was happening with him. This of course sent a wave of lust through my body when I felt his hardened cock against my thighs. I wonder if I could make him cum through this bond if I did? Kind of curious to find the answer to that, I removed one of my arms from his back to snake it down to my clit. To my surprise, it was already swollen with arousal like I had just went through minutes of foreplay. That will just make this so much easier. My fingers made quick work of stroking my clit then working tight circles around it to try to finish myself off. Unrestrained moans and gasps of pleasure left my lips while Eric let out his own groans. My hands sped up as the swirling vortex of euphoria and lust clouded my mind until I cared about nothing except for my impending orgasm. Eric began to shallowly thrust his hips against my thigh as the wave grew and grew until we both came with great cries of pleasure that resulted in Eric's seed covering my stomach in spurts. We both panted heavily as we settled in the afterglow. I quickly cleaned myself with a wave of my hand while Eric pricked his thumb with his fang so that he could rub his blood along the fang marks to heal them.

"Var það betra en kynlíf(Was that better than sex)?" I asked cheekily, looking down into content blue eyes.

"Treystu mér þegar ég kveð þennan elskhuga(Trust me when I say this lover)," Eric said with a small smirk.

"Ekkert er að fara að bera saman það að stunda kynlíf. Þetta er örugglega nærri sekúndu(Nothing is going to compare actually having sex. This is definitely a close second)."

I smiled at his words while pulling him up a little so that I could place a kiss in between his eyes that filled him with contentment and joy.

"Ef þú ert ekki varkár mun ég venjast þessu(If you're not careful, I'll get used to this)," Eric teased in attempts at lightening the atmosphere.

"Jæja þá venjast því(Well then get used to it)," I answered with conviction.

"Ég fer hvergi(I'm not going anywhere)."

As much as Eric wanted to deny it, my simple sentence made him overwhelmed with emotion. Instead of trying to say anything back, he kissed the valley between my breasts that rested his head there so that he could listen to my heartbeat. Peace and contentment were quick to settle over him while I ran my hands through his shoulder length blond hair. We stayed like that for hours and I quickly found myself falling asleep in the comfort of Eric's arms.

The next morning I woke to Eric still laying on me with his arms wrapped around my waist. However, I could tell that he was in his day rest because he was not moving at all and the bond I had formed with him last night was silent on his end. I savored the sight and feeling for a few more moments before I forced myself out from under him so that I could flash through a shower then get dressed in some comfy pjs. When I looked at the clock I had on my bedroom wall, I could see that Sookie was going to arrive any minute now. Should we make the call from my bedroom, I pondered to myself. Or should we do it from downstairs so that no one would be in Eric's day resting room. Or better yet, why don't I use the spare bedroom that I had next to my room that had a full length mirror? Just as I was leaving my bedroom, I could feel Sookie at the edge of the barrier that I had set up around the property. I had given Sookie access here some time ago so I didn't need to venture out to bring her in. Either Astrid or Valka would show her up now that she knew that they existed so I waited for her at the top of the steps.

"Morning Sook," I greeted her with a grin. Valka was the one who led her up so she gave me a small curtsy before she disappeared downstairs.

"It's gonna take some time to get used to you having servants," Sookie admitted when Valka left us.

"Trust me, it took some time for me to get used to having servants when I first learned of what I was," I told her as I walked towards the extra bedroom.

"Why aren't we going to your bedroom?" Sookie asked when she saw us pass it.

"Eric is in his day rest in my bed and I don't think he'd want anyone in his resting room except for me."

"Eric stayed the night?"

"Yeah. I have a feeling that he is going to be making a habit of that. I should really get him into the security system…"

We both lapsed into silence while my mind raced with getting Eric's fingerprints and retinal scans registered in the system.

"How am I supposed to address your grandparents?" Sookie questioned after a few seconds of silence.

"Amma Vestele and Afi Alric should be good with King Alric and Queen Vestele, Your majesty, or Your majesties. Amma Sigfrid will be fine with Princess Sigfrid or Your Highness."

Sookie nodded absentmindedly as she mentally prepared herself to meet my grandparents. I pulled two chairs in front of the full length mirror then gestured for Sookie to sit down on one. I let her have a few moments to ground herself beside me while I traded my Midgardian disguise before I attempted to speak.

"Are you ready Sook?"

"Yeah."

Without further ado I traced the rune for communication with my purple magic on the glass before I uttered the destination I wanted.

"Alfheim konunglegur setustofa(Alfheim royal lounge)."

The familiar whirlpool of images appeared before clearing up to show my grandparents all sitting around the mirror.

"Your Majesties King Alric and Queen Vestele, Your Highness Princess Sigfrid," Sookie greeted them in hopes of having them approve of her.

"There will be none of that now," Amma Sigfrid beamed, her personality befitting the yellow marks on her cheeks.

"You can just call me Grandma Sig. A Light sister of my granddaughter is a granddaughter to me."

I could tell Sookie was touched by Amma Sigfrid's attitude, but she still seemed apprehensive of what my other grandparents were going to say.

"While we don't usually let anyone but hedrs or leaders of other clans know of our existence," Afi Alric began only for Amma Vestele to cut him off.

"Stop trying to scare the poor thing," she lightly scolded him before directing her words towards Sookie.

"What my hedr means to say is that we welcome you amongst our ranks Sookie Stackhouse. Due to your special relationship with our granddaughter, we will allow a necklace of Dagheiðr's cheek marks made for you in a color of your choosing that will have some of her magic enchanted into the metal."

Both Sookie and I were floored at the news my grandmother was giving us. With the honor they were bestowing her, she would have a safe place to go to should something be after her. No one in our history has ever been given the honor outside of the elves. Sookie was probably just surprised and confused as to what this meant.

"As for your training," Amma Vestele continued. "I will leave that to my daughter."

"Are you available during the mornings?" Amma Sigfrid asked once Sook's attention was back on her.

"Yeah. I tend to have the afternoon to night shifts," Sookie told her.

"Great. Then I will set up training sessions from eight in the morning to eleven in the morning. After our first few meetings, I will modify our times. Dagheiðr will have to accompany you the first few sessions, but after you receive your necklace and you learn the incantation, you can come here on your own."

"That...That sounds wonderful," Sookie breathed out in disbelief. "Thank you so much for agreeing to teach me how to use my powers."

"Think nothing of it dear," Amma Sigfrid insisted. "Now, if I'm not mistaken, the both of you have a shift that you need to get to."

"How right you are Amma," I agreed when I took a glance at the time.

"We will see you all tomorrow."

"Until then," Amma Vestele and Afi Alric returned while Amma Sigfrid waved enthusiastically while saying goodbye. It wasn't long after that that the connection was closed.

"What did you think of my grandparents?" I asked Sookie when I saw the way her eyes were slightly wide.

"They seem like great people," Sookie smiled softly. "But that was kind of nerve wracking."

"Everything will be fine Sook," I promised her. "But right now, we have to get dressed for work."

With that said, I imagined Sookie's bedroom before I uttered the incantation for portal.

"If you go through, it will drop you off in your room," I told her. "I'll meet you down at your car in ten."

"Right."

As soon as she stepped through, I let the portal close then turned to my closet. I was quick to pull out my uniform shirt along with my black skirt, shorts, and black and white stockings. First I put on a cute black lacy bra and panty set then pulled on the shorts that stopped right at the top of my thighs. Over that went my uniform shirt tucked into my black skirt that went to the middle of my thigh with suspenders clipped to the waist, and to finish it off, I slipped on my stockings then my non slip black boots. As for my hair, I swept it up into a high ponytail and called it good after a quick spritz of perfume. Once I was dressed, I stopped by the kitchen to grab something quick to eat for both me and Sookie, then ventured out to her car where she was just getting in.

"Thanks," she sighed when she saw the snack bar that I handed her.

"No problem Sook."

We were quick to wolf down the food so that as soon as we pulled into the parking lot,we could just hurry in through the door.

"You two are cutting it close," Sam called out to us when we hurried past him to grab our aprons.

"Sorry Sammy," I grinned sheepishly. "We had a bit of a late start."

"At least you're not late," he sighed.

There was no time to waste after punching in to take orders and carry orders over to the right tables. I can't wait until we get the replacement for Dawn. We could sure use the extra help.

For a good hour and a half, Sookie, Arlene, and I were busting our asses to have everything move smoothly. It was during one of my runs to the booths by the door that I noticed Jason and a new girl walk in through the door.

"With all the animals on the walls," she commented with a slight hazy gaze. "It's like a natural history museum."

Jason sure knew how to pick em, I sighed in my head as I halfheartedly listened to what she was saying. However, I could respect her views on the circle of life.

"Oh my god, I want to lick your mind," Jason remarked that had me pulling a confused face. In all of my years, I have never heard a pick up line quite like that before. Just what the hell is going on with these two? However, the three of us weren't quite fast enough to keep up with the amount of orders Terry and Faye were placing on the counter.

"Order up!" Terry shouted in frustration.

"We'll be right there Terry," I called back over in hopes of soothing his frayed nerves. Sook and I quickly took care of the orders that we did have then raced back over to the counter where orders should have been.

"Terry, I thought you said order up?" Sook voiced in confusion.

"I did," he answered. "But the new girl took em already."

"New girl," Sook and I echoed back to each other. We walked back out to the floor only to see the girl that had come in with Jason was serving the orders like she had worked here for a few months. Well I'll be damned. I could tell that Sookie was also impressed with her skill which prompted Jason to come over to us. I still wasn't a fan of his, so I kept quiet even if I was glaring at him.

"Ain't she something?" he asked Sookie.

"She's with you?"

"Yeah, I know. You're pissed at me, but...I really want you to like her."

"Sorry about that," said girl apologized, coming to stand beside Jason. "You guys looked pretty swamped and the natives were getting restless. So...you're Jason's sister right? I'm-,"

"Sisters," Sookie corrected. "We're his sisters."

I could tell that Jason looked very miffed and irritated at Sookie's words, but Arlene swooped in to stop whatever Jason was about to say.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Amy," the now named brunette smiled. "I'm with Jason."

Cue the arm that curled around her shoulders.

"And you must be Arlene with the beautiful red hair. It's so nice to meet you."

"How'd you know all of the table numbers?" Arlene questioned.

"Well, I waited tables in college so I just assumed clockwise. And I think the guys at table five really like you cause they left you a really nice tip."

Okay, there are some brownie points with handing over the money instead of keeping it for herself. Arlene eyed her suspiciously for a few moments then swiped the money while turning to talk to Sam.

"Sam, we might have found a replacement for Dawn."

"Looks like you did too," Sookie quipped before she pulled me away from her brother. Damn. I keep forgetting how much spunk this girl has. Thankfully after that we didn't have much of an issue getting all of the orders out, and we could take just a little breather. Well, Arlene's breather wasn't that long. About three hours later had her kids calling her. From what I could hear, her sitter had canceled. I could tell that Sookie knew too cause she gave me a side glance after the call.

You thinkin' about looking after the kids instead?

Yeah. I mean, it's the least we can do and we both love kids.

You're right Sook. I guess we'll just let Arlene come to us when she's ready.

She gave a nod to show that she agreed before we went back to work. From what I could see of Amy while working with her, I could tell that she was a good person. How in the world could Jason find a nice girl with the way he acts, I thought to myself. It didn't make sense until I passed close enough to her to scent some vampire blood in her system. Oh...He's with her cause she supplies him with his fix. So she must be a V user too.

"I've been eyeing your necklace all day," Sookie said to Amy while we were cleaning up.

"Oh, thanks. It's a lariat," she explained while fiddling with it. "I made it."

"You make jewelry?"

"It's an easy way to make extra money," Amy shrugged. "I could make you two one, if you want."

"No thanks," I smiled to her as I walked over to the other side of the restaurant. I know that she meant well, but I couldn't be too sure what exactly she is using to make jewelry and I don't want it to hurt any of my hedrs or myself. I was quick to pick up all of the dishes that were left and made it back by Sookie in enough time for Arlene to come by.

"Hey Sookie, Des, I have something I want to ask you two," she started only for me to cut her off.

"We'll be happy to watch your kids for you Arlene," I assured her with a wide smile.

"I didn't-,"

"Des heard you talking on the phone and with Terry," Sookie said to placate her. A relieved smile bloomed on her face as she ran a hand through her hair.

"I'll drop em off at eight," she told us. "René is taking me to Ruston to see that Oak Ridge Boys tribute band."

"That sounds like fun," I smiled.

"I know," Arlene quietly squealed before heading back to what she had been doing. Sookie and I shared a smile at her giddiness as we too finished out our shifts.

Later that day found me at Sookie's house in a pair of Hufflepuff pajamas making spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. This should be something quick and easy that the kids will love. I also had Sook run to the store to pick up a few bottles of sparkling juice for the kids to feel like they're able to drink actual wine. For Sookie and I, I brought over a pretty mild red wine for us to sip with our dinner. The kids were due to arrive any minute and the food was three fourths of the way done with the juice and wine chilling. Sookie was about tidying up for the kids and I was tasting my pasta sauce to make sure that it tasted right.

"Well isn't this a pleasant view," Eric piped up when I had bent slightly over to reach the pot on the back burner.

"Hello Eric," I smiled even if I did roll my eyes a little.

"Are you going to be coming to Fangtasia in your pajamas?" he asked, coming to stand beside me at the stove.

"Sook and I have to watch Arlene's kids first," I told him. "Then I'm heading over to Fangtasia."

"Children," Eric said in a tone that spoke of his distaste for them.

"Oh, they aren't that bad," I assured him with a wave of my hand. "Plus if we're gonna be in a long term relationship, you're gonna have to at least tolerate children."

"And why is that?"

"Because I want to have a couple kids when I'm older," I admitted. "I know that it will be impossible to have biological kids, but that can't stop me from adopting."

I could see that this conversation would have to happen again in the future, but I could tell that that was enough on the topic.

"Besides, it will be fun to hang out with children for a night. They have a way of lighting up a room."

Before Eric could say anything else, the doorbell rang.

"Eric, I need you to stay here and keep stirring this pasta sauce and noodles," I ordered while turning the sauce on simmer.

"I'll be back when the kids come in."

I didn't wait to hear him say anything as I hurried to the front door where Sookie was waiting to welcome our guests.

"Sookie, Des," Arlene greeted us warmly.

"Arlene," I returned with a wide smile. "René, Lisa, Colby."

I then walked in front of the two little ones to lean down slightly.

"I hope you two like spaghetti and meatballs," I said.

"We do," Lisa happily chimed in along with her brother.

"Good, cause that's what we're having," Sookie added. "We also have some sparkling juice for ya'll to drink."

Arlene looked at us happily while I turned to shoo them out.

"Go on you two. Your date night isn't going to start by standing in the doorway watchin' your kids."

"She's right Arlene," René chuckled. "Let's get going."

"You two stay with Aunt Sookie," I told the kids. "I have to go finish up dinner."

I was quick to slip back into the kitchen and strain the noodles that had just started to boil.

"Thanks for keeping an eye on this," I smiled to my hedr who was stirring the sauce.

"One of your maids stopped over with some kind of pastry," he told me as he stepped back to let me take the reigns. To emphasize his words, he gestured to a covered pan that still smelt warm. Let's see, I smell chocolate...cream...and is that a container of raspberries that I smell next to it? They brought over some Kladdkaka, I realized with a smile. With a new pep in my step, I went about mixing the sauce together with the meatballs and noodles before I set the large bowl of dinner on the kitchen table.

"Eric, can you grab the plates and silverware for me? We'll need four plates."

Quick as a flash Eric had all of the places set at the table along with four wine glasses. I gave him a grateful smile as I plated up the food with a couple pieces of garlic bread a piece. Once that was done, I poured some wine for Sook and myself with the sparkling juice for the kids.

"Dinner's done!" I called out while I settled the chairs in place. I made sure to put Eric's chair in between mine and Sook's so that the kids could get used to him. Though I had to hold back a laugh when the kids came in and stopped in their tracks to stare up at the giant that was Eric Northman.

"Hey Lisa, Colby, this is Eric Northman. Eric, this is Arlene's kids, Lisa and Colby."

"You're so tall," Lisa gasped in awe.

"Or maybe you're just so little," Eric teased. "You're like humans but miniature. Teacup humans."

That was too much for me and the laughter was quick to bubble past my lips as I tried my best to hold them in.

"I can't...I can't believe you just said that," I laughed, tears starting to well up in my eyes.

"I'm not wrong," Eric said with an eyebrow raise.

"I guess that makes you Eric the Giant," Sookie smirked with her brown eyes dancing with laughter.

"Eric the God might be a better title."

"You are so full of yourself," I scoffed when my little laughing fit was over.

"C'mon kids. I bet you're starving."

They quickly sat down at the seats I pointed out for them then dug into their meal with gusto. While we ate, Eric surprisingly kept the little ones entertained with stories of vikings when they had learned that he used to be one when he was alive. I was a little surprised at how natural Eric was with them. And he said that he was horrible with children. Dinner was quickly over then packed away in Sookie's icebox which meant that is was time for dessert.

"I hope you guys like chocolate," I said while I went to the freezer to grab a tub of vanilla ice cream to go with the dessert.

"You made a cake?" Sookie questioned when she saw the chocolate pastry in the pan.

"No, either Astrid or Valka did. They brought it over while we were greeting everyone else."

After taking the large dinner dishes away, I got the dessert dishes and cut a piece of Kladdkaka on a plate with a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkling of raspberries.

"Is that Kladdkaka?" Eric voiced when he saw the finished product.

"That it is," I confirmed. "Is it something that's familiar?"

"It wasn't around when I was human," he began. "But I witnessed when it was first invented."

There was a peaceful silence that filled the room as the kids ate their dessert until Lisa spoke up.

"Mr. Eric, are you Aunt Des's boyfriend?"

"I wouldn't use that title," Eric mused to himself. "I would more likely be Desdemona's intended."

"He means fiancé," I supplied for her.

"When are you two going to get married?" Lisa questioned with wide eyes.

"We haven't decided yet," I answered for them. "But you two better finish that before your Mama gets here. She'll have all our heads if she found out how much sugar I'm giving you."

The two kids giggled at my words yet they went back to their cake so that they could get rid of the evidence. I had just put the dishes in the sink and took care of the leftover cake when the doorbell rang again.

"Sookie, Des, I have wonderful news," Arlene said as soon as she entered the house. When she saw Eric she kind of stopped in her tracks yet she quickly averted her eyes to us.

"I didn't know you two had company."

"Eric was just stopping by," I said. "What was your news?"

She still looked uncertain but she was quick to regain her happiness.

"René and I are getting married!"

"I'm happy for you two!" Sookie grinned brightly.

"Will you two be a bridesmaid for me again?"

"Of course we will," I assured her. She was overcome with happiness and didn't hesitate to bring us both into a hug.

"I love you two so much."

They stayed for a few more minutes to bask in the happiness before Arlene said it was time for them to head home. Sook rushed up to her room to change for the outing while I changed my outfit with a simple snap of my fingers. For my outfit, I chose a pair of black leather pants, a black and purple corset, black heels, and a black leather jacket to wear over that.

"You have fine taste in fashion," Eric smirked in approval.

"Why thank you Eric. Agnar."

"Yes, Your Highness?"

"Can you bring my car to the front yard?"

"Of course, Your Highness."

"You have a car?" Sookie asked when she came down into the kitchen.

"Of course I do."

"Then why do you always just catch a ride with me?"

"We're going to the same place," I shrugged. "It's a lot easier and I always chip in with gas."

"Fair enough."

With that said, we all headed out to the porch where I could see Agnar pulling my Impala into the driveway.

"You go on ahead Eric," I told him. "It will be a lot faster for you to get back by flying."

"Don't take too long lover."

At the choice of nickname, Sookie raised her eyebrows.

"What? I happen to like the nickname."

"I never pegged Eric as the type to give terms of endearment," she admitted while slipping into the passenger seat.

"There's a lot to Eric that would surprise you," I told her. "Now buckle up and hold on. I'm gonna see just how quickly I can get us to Fangtasia."

Turns out I was able to get us there in little over ten minutes versus the twenty-two minutes it would have taken if I had followed the speed limit.

"You're a really good driver," Sook commented as we left the car.

"Thanks Sook."

I led Sookie into the now closed club and I couldn't help but feel like it was a lot bigger without the normal crowd. Maybe Eric could have some remodeling done for the place. Ooh, and there was the thing about the different flavored blood that I wanted to try out. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Sookie elbowed me in the side. I gave her a grateful look then guided her over to the chair that was unoccupied.

"Pam, Longshadow, and I are partners of this club," Eric began but the rest of what he said I completely drowned out. I was too busy scanning the minds of the humans. Let's see, the blonde human who looks too thin has been glamored within an inch of her life. The accountant was only thinking about how he wasn't the one who took the money because he was the one who reported it. He even commented on how one would have to be crazy to steal from vampires. Well, he isn't wrong. From what I could hear of the other humans, they were just confused as to what they were here for.

Sook, are you hearing all of their thoughts through me?

Yeah. From what I'm hearing, it isn't the humans that took the money.

Pam definitely wouldn't have taken money from her Maker, so that only leaves Longshadow.

I think you're right.

"There's only one person who can be the suspect," I interrupted without worrying about who was talking.

"And who is that?" Eric asked.

"Longshadow."

"And why am I the only one to be a suspect?" Longshadow challenged.

"Well, let's see...The accountant, Bruce, would have turned the person over if he knew who it was. He's too scared to try anything. The skinny blonde has been glamored so much it's surprising that she is still able to function. As for the rest of the humans, they don't know why they're here."

"However, we did get something interesting from Ginger's mind," Sookie added.

"She knows who it is, but she's been glamored to forget his name."

"Pam would never steal from you Eric," I continued on. "If she needed money, she has her own or she could ask you. All that is left is you Longshadow."

I could see the lunge before he even moved to so it so I rushed over to slam him back against the wall by his throat.

"I'd say that this is enough proof Eric," I said over my shoulder while I held the thrashing vampire still.

"I'd have to agree."

"Then I'll leave him to you to discipline."

I made to throw him over to Eric, but he managed to slice into the forearm that held him.

"You sonofabitch," I hissed in pain, still throwing him over to Pam and Eric. He didn't get much time to move even an inch before Eric's fingers dug into Longshadow's throat to pin him to the ground.

"How dare you touch what is mine," he growled, his fangs dropped in anger. Longshadow stilled instantly at the news.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

Eric waited patiently for an answer to come, but it didn't.

"I see…," Eric drawled. "Then you choose death. Pam, won't you please escort Longshadow to a backroom. I will deal with him shortly."

"Of course."

Without breaking her stride, Pam grabbed Longshadow by the throat to drag him behind her.

"Thank you for your services Desdemona, Sookie," Eric inclined his head politely.

"Think nothing of it Eric," I told him after healing my arm with a spell. "I was happy to help. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything."

"Will do."

"Then Sookie and I will see ourselves out."

I'm pretty sure Sookie felt the same way, but I can't wait to get home and take a nice warm shower before turning in for the night.
