Chapitre 18: That's Off the Chain

Duncan for ever: Yes, the chapter is quite short but that's on purpose. Long chapters take a long time to write and it makes me a little demotivated, that's the reason why there was no chapter for a long time
The last time on Total Drama Island. The candidates had to play hide and seek, they had to run away from Chief Hatchet or help him to find the other candidates to get the immunity. Some had strange hiding places and others had almost invisible hiding places. The girls formed the alliance of the girls, not so big as it is because they are only three. At the same time Duncan's alliance convinced Shawn to vote with them against Brick. Scott managed to convince Dj to join his alliance. In the end it was Brick who was eliminated but not by leaving any clues to the Devil. Who will be eliminated? Who will get hurt? Find out in the new episode of TOTAL DRAMA... ISLAND
After the intro song we find the campers on the beach, some were playing, and others were just sitting on the Dock of Shame.
"Tell me some of you have seen Chris" said Leshawna.
"It's true he's late, it's not like him" said Sammy
"That's good news, we won't have to do one of his crazy challenges" said Idris
"Speak for yourself, I want to win and if we don't have a challenge no money" said Scott
"I never said that" said Idris
As the campers played together, Dave's cries could be heard in the confessional
"It sounds like Dave is having a hard time accepting Sky's departure" said Leshawna.
"Yeah, he's sensitive," said Duncan.
Confessional: Dave
Why Sky. Why did you leave me, we were so good together. I gave you all my love. WHY? WHY?
End Confessional
"Come on Idris, we should go help him," Duncan said.
"Help him? Since when does Duncan the bad guy help other people," Gwen said.
"It's strategic, that's all," said Duncan.
"Poor little Duncan has a weak heart," said Scott.
"What did you say, farmer?" said Duncan.
"I said you're sensitive," said Scott.
"You're looking for a fight," Duncan said as he charged at Scott.
The two moved closer and closer until they were standing next to each other.
"Come on, weak heart, I'm going to break your face," Scott said.
"When I kill you, I'll feed your corpse to the shark," said Duncan.
The two fought until Idris and Dj arrived to hold them back.
"Duncan, calm down, he's not worth it," said Idris.
"Scott, stop the violence, it's wrong and stupid," said Dj.
The two stopped.
"The next time you come after me, I'll kill you, and this time there'll be no one to separate us," Duncan said.
"Stop, Duncan, we have to go see Dave," Idris said.
They both left.
"Wow, what a bad boy," said Gwen.
"Gwen wouldn't know how to fall in love with the Badboy," said Leshawna.
"Maybe," said Sammy.
"WHAT! No, that's not my style at all" said Gwen.
"Relax, I'm just kidding" said Leshawn
Dave emerged from the confessional with a few more tears on his cheeks.
"Dave! Don't worry, we're here for you" said Idris.
"You know Dave, you shouldn't be crying about Sky, she should be crying because she missed her chance to get rich" said Duncan.
"He's right, she's not worth it. But you have to stop crying, get your confidence back and try to win," says Idris.
"Besides, our alliance is strong, and if we keep going, we'll probably make it to the semifinals," Duncan said.
"You're...probably right. I'll fight to win. No more whiny Dave, now I'm... Dave the champion," Dave said.

"Hello dear candidate. Your next challenge is waiting for you in the craft room" said Chris.
The candidates gathered in the craft room
"Welcome to the craft room dear candidate" said Chris

"Yes, it's more like a closet where we store all the mechanical parts" said Chris as he opened the door.
The boys were happy to see a motorcycle
"What's great is that it ties into our next challenge. Build your own vehicle," Chris says.
"We're going to build motorcycles," says Idris.
"Yeah, that's what this challenge is about" says Chris.
"I'm finally going to get to build my own zombie motorcycle," said Shawn.
"To build your vehicle, you'll find all the parts in this shed" said Chris.
"Bikes? What a bummer!" said Idris.
"You'll find them all in the shed. The best bike will win and to prove to you that I'm nice, I'll give you a manual to help you" said Chris.
"Burk. It's disgusting, it's got mold on it" says Sammy.

Finally a challenge where I will have fun. With my brothers we build them I admit that we steal them more often to the neighbor to explode them on the wall of the school but it is not the subject

"Cool we can finally get my dream bike" said Duncan
"Me too, every time I had a bike Amy stole it from me" said Sammy
"That means you never rode a bike" said Idris
"No, just for a minute" said Sammy
"That's so sad" said Dj
"Yeah poor little girl" said Scott lying
"How long have these spare parts been there?" says Dave.
"Since the show started" says Chris.
"It's disgusting, all that grease" says Dave.
"Dude, make an effort, you're not a loser anymore, think about the money" said Duncan.
"Yeah man, you're a champion now" says Idris.
"Okay... I'll do it" said Dave.
"We need to improve our bikes if we want to get rid of Scott" said Duncan.
"Okay Duncan," said Dave and Idris.
Scott listened to the conversation.
Confessional: Scott
Duncan thinks he's smarter than me but I haven't said my last word yet. Dj is going to build my bike, he's naive, he'll be easy to manipulate.

"Dj, can you come help me please?" said Scott.
"Yeah, sure, what's up?" said Dj.
"I need you to watch while I take Chef's motorcycle apart" said Scott.
"But that's stealing and it's wrong to steal" said Dj.
"No, it's not stealing, it's borrowing" says Scott.
"Ok, I'll take care of it" said Dj.
Scott walked into the motorcycle room as he was taking the motorcycle apart, Dj was looking around to see if anyone was there but he was also stressed.
"You're okay, Dj" said Gwen.
"Yeah, it's all good, I wasn't watching at all," said Dj.
"Uh... Ok, I'll leave you then" said Gwen.
"I'm done" said Scott
"Great, let's get out of here fast" said Dj.
The campers worked hard to get on the bike, except for one person who didn't make it.
"Uh... Gwen where do I put this thing?" said Leshawna pointing to a pedal
"It's a pedal. You never rode a bike" said Gwen
"Of course I've ridden a bike. Except I've never built one before today, plus there are way too many parts" said Leshawna
"You'd better read the manual because otherwise the others are going to get way ahead of you" said Gwen
"Okay but where is the manual" said Leshawna
"Right here" said Scott who was eating the mold from the manual
"Burk how do you eat this" said Leshawna
"Mold is the next best thing to land of course" said Scott
"Okay... can you give it to me please" said Leshawna
"Sure, grab it" said Scott as he threw it away
"But it's full of slime" said Leshawna

I never noticed how crazy Scott was. But he doesn't look very mean and smart, I think he's not a threat.

"Dj is you can help me" said Scott
"What's up Scott" said Dj
"I hurt myself tearing down the Chief's motorcycle. Can you build my bike for me" said Scott
"I want to but I have to finish my bike too" said Dj
"But I thought you and I were friends" said Scott
"But I'm your friend" said Dj
"I thought real friends would help each other" said Scott
"But Scott I... "said Dj.
"I'm sad now Dj" said Scott
"I don't want my friends to be sad. I'll build your bike" said Dj
"That's right thanks buddy" said Scott

While Dj was building these bikes, he heard the other boys talking in the distance.
"Hey, do you remember your first experience riding a bike?" said Idris.
"Yes. I hurt myself when I fell and broke my collarbone. You should have seen it, it was out of my shoulder. It was a sick thing," said Duncan.
When Dj heard this, his face broke down.
"I was hovering over the handlebars. I was trying to get away from the zombies," Shawn said.
"It's nothing, your little injury. I completely dislocated my arm. It took three doctors to hold me down and put it back together" said Idris.
Dj broke out in a sweat of fear and put on a knight's helmet.
"You're really crazy. My first bike experience went great and I never got hurt" said Dave.
"Wow, you missed some great memories" said Duncan.
"CANDIDATES, IT'S TIME TO JUDGE YOUR CREATION, JOIN THE BUILDING CENTER IN TWO MINUTES," Chris said from the megaphone
Campers reunited
"Campers, we gave you parts, let's see what you did," Chris said.
The first bike to be judged was Scott's motorcycle that was built with an engine.
"Excellent Scott, the aerodynamics are perfect," Scott said.
"It only weighs 400 grams," Scott said.
"Like your muscles," Duncan said to mock Scott.
Scott ignored him.
The next bike to be judged is Duncan's
His bike has a skeleton skull and other things that make it unique
"It's beautiful, I love the Mad Max look" said Chris
"I know I did a good job" said Duncan
The next bike to be judged is Dj's
His bike had everything to keep Dj from falling off and getting hurt and had protection all over his body
"Not very practical in a speedway, besides it's not very good" said Chirs
Dj lowered his eyes of shame and closed his helmet
"I don't think it will be necessary" said Chris
The next bike to be judged is Gwen's
Her bike had bat wings
"It's special but practical, nice work" said Chris
The next bike is Sammy's
His bike had a pink chevale as a bell
"It's a bell you can try" said Sammy
"DRING ! DRING !"
Chris is indifferent to this
"At least look happy," said Sammy.
"Let's move on to the next candidate" said Chris
The next bike to be judged was Leshawna's
Her bike was a normal bike, nothing special
"Not a very original bike" said Chris
"I've never built a bike" said Leshawna
"For a first time these are not bad" said Chris
The next bike to be analyzed is Idris' bike
His bike was orange and blue and had a bandau with a spiral on it.
"I love the colors and the bandau" said Chris
"Thank you, it's a reference to Naruto, I was inspired by his outfit" said Idris
"Naruto ? What is it" said Chris
"You don't know Naruto? It's one of the most famous manga in the world" said Idris
"Well... No" said Chris
All the other candidates looked at him
"None of you know Naruto? "said Idris
"No, I think it must be just a program from your country" said Chris

How can you not know Naruto it's just one of the most famous manga of all time, even if you don't care about manga you must have heard about it

The next bike to be judged was Shawn's
His bike had spikes all over it and had a little spear in it
"Nice bike Shawn" said Chris
"Thank you, it's the first anti-zombie bike" said Shawn.
"Anti-zombie? "said Chris
"Yeah, to fight the zombies on the island" said Shawn
"Okay Shawn, let's move on to the next bike" said Chris
Next bike to be judged was Dave's bike
His bike looks suspiciously like Sky
"What are you trying to do, Dave?" said Chris.
"A bike I call Skydominator," said Dave.
Idris and Duncan looked at each other.
"Why did you call it that?" said Chris.
"To show Sky that I'm not a loser anymore and that she won't use me anymore" said Dave.
"I don't think he understood what we were trying to say" said Idris.
"Yeah, the message didn't get through," says Duncan.
"Well candidates, we're going to move on to the bike race but you're not going to use your bikes" said Chris
"What!" said the campers
"You'll use other people's bikes to qualify, if your bike doesn't cross the finish line, you're out and you won't be able to compete for immunity" said Chris.
"How about we pretend we're not crossing," says Scott.
"Whoever is on the bike will be eliminated," said Chris.
"And how will we know who gets the bike" said Sammy.
"By drawing lots" says Chris. "Meet me on the beach" says Chris.
The competitors are standing at the finish line and they have drawn lots
Idris had Leshawna's bike
Dave had Gwen's bike
Dj had Scott's bike
Sammy had Duncan's bike
Leshawna had Dj's bike
Scott had Sammy's bike
Gwen had Idris' bike
Duncan had Shawn's bike
Shawn had Dave's bike
"Are you ready" said Chris
The campers looked at the finish line with determination
"3... 2 ... 1 GO" said Chris as he gave the start
The race began, and Duncan had a slight lead over the others.
"Hey? Where are the pedals? " said Sammy, who couldn't get ahead on Duncan's bike.
The four wheels on Dj's bike were keeping Leshawna from moving forward.
Duncan kept getting ahead of the others.
"It's too easy," Duncan said.
Until Dj caught up with him.
"Yes, I can ride a bike, mom watch your son ride a bike" said Dj, proud of himself.
Gwen used Idris' bike, even though it was a little slow.
"My bike works? That's amazing! " said Idris.
"Why are you surprised?" said Gwen.
"Because I forgot to put screws in," said Idris.
"Wait what! " said Gwen.
Idris's bike collapsed and Gwen fell off, along with the debris from the accident, it knocked Idris off too.
"How could you forget to put screws in?" says Gwen.
"I was too focused on taking my bike apart" said Idris.
Leshawna passed by pushing Dj's bike but she didn't see anything, she bumped into Idris and Gwen.
Sammy was still stuck at the start.
She pressed the skull and crossbones on the bike and rode off at full speed.
So fast that she got there first.
Dave and Scott struggled to get past the other.
But they were so focused on their fight that they didn't see Idris, Gwen and Leshawna and they fell.
"What are you doing here?" said Scott.
"We had an accident," said Idris.
"But why didn't you leave" said Dave
"We're in way too much pain to walk," said Gwen.
Duncan, Dj and Shawn crossed the finish line
"It's over, we lost five contestants, Idris, Gwen, Leshawna, Scott and Dave, so the invincibility round will be a four way race" said Chris
"Shawn's anti-zombie bike, Scott's fast bike, Dave's Skydominator and Duncan's infernal machine" said Chris.
"How do you stop the bike?" said Sammy.
"Press down on the skull," said Duncan.
"Okay," said Sammy, pressing down.
The bike came to a stop.
"Now let's move on to the next round," said Chris.
"Thanks Dj for qualifying me," said Scott.
"You're welcome, thanks to your bike I could ride" says Dj.
The qualified candidates stand on the starting line, the others look at them.
"Nice little bike" says Duncan, laughing at Scott.
"My little bike is better than that stupid thing you did" says Scott.
"Oh no, they'll fight again" says Shawn.
"Calm down guys, the race will start soon" said Dave.
Duncan grabbed Dave's ear and said.
"There's no way Scott is going to win, you're going to focus or I'm going to kill you" said Duncan.
Confessiona: Dave
Wow Duncan scares me, does he look like this when he's pissed off? I understand better why he was juvee

"Alright, I'll do it" said Dave.
"Campers, welcome to the challenge...bike...bike...cross...cross" says Chris with an echo in the background.
"With your own bikes, you will race through the hidden obstacles" says Chris.
"What are the obstacles" said Dave.
"Avoid the landmines, don't slip on the oil slick and finally avoid the Piranhas" said Chris
"Uh... Okay" said Dave not so serious
"One last thing. The first person to reach the finish line will win immunity, the last person to reach the finish line will be voted out and sent home. No vote tonight, loser goes straight to the Dock of Shame," Chris said.
Confessional: Scott
This changes all my plans, I just have to block Duncan for not crossing the finish line and be eliminated.

"Are you ready candidates" said Chris
"3... 2... 1 GO! "said Chris
The candidates have left and they have to cross the minefield, the first one to pass is Dave who was blown up, the first one's bike was damaged but he could still ride
"I... I never want to do this again," said Dave.
Duncan rode at full speed as the mines exploded behind him, Scott and Shawn took advantage of the opportunity to pass.
Dave was in second place, because his bike was damaged.
Duncan tried to cross the oil slick but it was too slippery and he was sent over the edge, losing time.
Scott was able to pass thanks to Duncan's trajectory.
As for Shawn, he had just passed Scott.
"How did you do that?" said Scott.
"It's just talent," Shawn replied before falling into the piranha lake.
"Bahahaha, one more loser," Scott said.
Thanks to Chief Hatchet's motorcycle part, Scott was able to jump the piranha lake and win.
"Scott won but the race is not over yet, we still have to see who comes in last" said Chris.
Duncan, who finally made it through the oil spill, was able to cross the piranha lake and cross the finish line.
"I came in first," said Scott.
"Maybe, but I'm still here," said Duncan.
"You are, but your little pet is not" said Scott.
Dave slowly made his way to the finish line but Shawn had made it out of the lake but on the wrong side he was next to Dave.
The two of them looked at each other, the first one to cross the lake won.
Shawn started to take a big swing and crossed the lake, but Dave wasn't going to let him win so he followed him and crossed the lake too.
There was only one straight line left and that was the moment to give it all away.
"Ladies and gentlemen there is a lot of suspense as to who will win and who will stay with us for the rest of the race" said Chris.
Shawn and Dave were side by side, really stuck together ready to cross the finish line
Dave was pedaling hard to catch Shawn, they stuck together and crossed the finish line.
"Who won? "said Idris.
"We don't know, they were really stuck together" said Leshawna
"PHOTO, PHOTO CHIEF HATCHET SHOW US THE PHOTO" said Chris
Chief Hatchet showed Chris the picture
"Come on tell us who won" said Shawn
"Hurry up Chris" said Dave
"The winner of the class is...

"Dave" says Chris.
"Sorry Shawn, you're the loser" says Chris.
"That's not true, I was close" says Shawn.
"Good job Shawn" says Dave.
"Good job Dave" says Shawn.
"Bye everyone, watch out for the zombie" said Shawn.
"That was really close" said Sammy
"Yeah, that's really too bad for you" says Leshawna.
"Thank you, you're not a zombie, I won't have to worry about you" said Shawn
"Shawn the loser boat is waiting for you" said Chris
He got on the boat and left
"He's nice but really strange" said Dave
"Yeah, his zombie story doesn't make sense," said Duncan.
"At least he can tell Jasmine he thinks she's beautiful" said Sammy
"Yeah, I'm going to miss him a little bit, his zombie story was pretty funny" said Leshawna
"It's getting late" said Idris
"Yeah, I think I'm gonna go to sleep" said Duncan.
"Well good night everyone" said Gwen

Author's note: Hi everyone I'm not dead. How come everyone forgot about me I'm still here months late but I'm here and that's the most important thing. For this chapter I was afraid to write it because I didn't know how to tell the challenge, but I think I did something not too bad. Review please
My opinion about Shawn: I like Shawn, he made me laugh enough in Pakitew and his friendship with Dave is great, and his relationship with Jasmine is really good. He's a very good character
