The Brawling Yokai of Gensokyo Ch 3
Hakurei Shrine
"You guys are feeling better?" Asked Dan.
Reimu and Marisa were both on the ground, wrapped around a blanket.
"Yes. Thanks to your healing, otherwise it would've taken us even longer to recover." Reimu said to Dan.
"But what about you Dan, didn't you say that Remilia put a hole in you?" Marisa asked concerned.
"Yeah, caught me off guard. But nothing a little healing could fix." Dan explained.
"So...Now what?"
"Now, we recover and head out to find the Scarlet Mansion."
"WHAT?!" Marisa shrieked.
"...I mean...How are we even suppose to find it?"
"Simple, I follow Remilia's scent and it will lead us to her mansion." Dan stated with a smile.
"Her scent?" Reimu questioned.
"Before she left, I managed to claw her face to draw blood. Just needed one sniff and I know her scent now."
"That's right. Dragons have a strong sense of smell, even stronger than vampires." Reimu noted.
"Still, after that beatdown we had, you guys still want to go to the mansion to stop those vampires."
Reimu turned to her best friend with a serious expression.
"Marisa. What Remilia Scarlet is doing is unethical and unjust! It's up to us to stop her!"
"WELL LOOK WHAT THAT BROUGHT US! WE WERE KNOCKING ON DEATH'S DOOR!" Marisa shouted.
The blonde haired teen got up and walked out of the shrine.
Dan turned to Reimu.
"Do you two...Always argue like that?"
Reimu sighs. "Not all the time, but there are moments when me and Marisa get into a heated argument...I understand why she's acting this way."
"Yeah, me too. Perhaps I should talk to her."
"Please do." Reimu said.
Dan walked out of the shrine and saw Marisa sitting on the ledge, holding her hat. Dan joined her by sitting.
Dan then pulled out his pipe to start smoking. He then exhaled smoke.
"I'm not saying I'm scared...I'm not..."
Stated Marisa who was clutching her hat.
"Nobody saying you're scared Marisa."
"Dan...Can you be honest with me?"
"S-Sure!"
Marisa's eyes were shadowed. "...I'm weak aren't I?"
"What? Why would you say that about-"
"Reimu's more capable than I am. She's stronger, faster, smarter than me. Not to mention she's a Shrine Maiden! Meanwhile I'm just some regular person who just happens to use magic!"
"If that's the case, why did you fight Flandre?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well...The people faced Flandre, who in their eyes, was a complete monster. Yet you were willing to fight her anyway."
"...I honestly thought I could handle her, but it turns out she was way stronger then me...It just proves I am really weak."
Dan swats Marisa's back.
"HEY!" She shouts.
"Sorry, but you're wrong about that."
"Huh?"
"You want to know my opinion? I think a girl your age fighting against someone that powerful to protect the weak is both brave and admirable."
Marisa lifts her hat and stares at Dan while blushing.
"...Really?"
"Of course."
"...But I still lost though."
"It doesn't mean your weak Marisa. It just means you fought a really tough opponent. Believe when I say that there's always going to be that one boss that curb stomps you."
"...What?"
"The point is, sometimes you win some and you lose some...Yeah I know that sounds really stupid, but it is really important."
"I think I get it."
"You do? Good. Because then I would've gone into more detail and I'm not exactly the wordy type." Dan said.
Marisa got up and shoved into Dan's face.
"FIGHT ME!"
"Huh?" Dan looked shocked.
"I NEED TO KNOW HOW STRONG I AM! THAT'S WHY I WANT TO FIGHT YOU DAN KUSO!" Marisa demanded with a straight face.
"You sure? Because you just on Death's door twice in one day...No offense." Dan said concerned.
"EXACTLY! I NEED TO BECOME STRONGER NOT JUST FOR MYSELF! BUT FOR REIMU TOO!"
Dan scratched the back of his head.
"Alright, I wanted to see what you can do anyway."
Marisa grinned.
"Yes! So go ahead and do that space manipulation thingy!"
Dan sweat-drops at what Marisa said.
"I wouldn't call it that...But let's get started."
Dan pulled out a card and it glowed red engulfing both himself and Marisa.
"AH! WE'RE HERE AGAIN!" Marisa exclaimed.
"Hey."
"AHHH!" Marisa jumped as she turned to Dan.
"DON'T DO THAT! YOU NEARLY GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!" Marisa cried out.
"Sorry. So let's begin." Dan said.
"YEAH!" Marisa regained herself as she reached into her hat and pulled out her broom.
She then jumped onto her broom and began to fly.
Magic circles appeared and hovered around Marisa as they shot out rainbow colored stars at Dan.
"Wow, you've got to admit, that does look beautiful." Dan said casually as he avoided the stars as they hit the ground.
"Time to show Dan what I've got...Magic Space Asteroid Belt!"
Dan looked up and saw a pattern of large blue and red stars being produced by Marisa.
"Cool...But I've got something even cooler."
Dan said as he materialized a card and it glowed red. The card then was enlarged as it grew.
"That's odd, I never seen Dan do that before." Marisa analyzed.
Then her eyes widened when she saw the card shot out meteors!
"THE HELL?!" Marisa exclaimed.
Each meteor clashed with the giant stars, causing them to break into pieces.
Marisa's blood ran cold when one meteor was inches towards her as it broke through her barrier of stars.
With worry, Marisa quickly pulled out her Mini-Hakkero!
"Love Spark!"
Her Mini-Hakkero fired a beam against the meteor, disintegrating it.
"Hey."
"AGH!" Marisa once again jumped as she spun to see Dan flying next to her.
"DON'T HEY ME! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! YOU FIRED METEORS AT ME?! I ALMOST GOT HIT BY ONE!" Marisa argued with blank eyes and shark teeth.
"But you didn't thanks to your quick reflexes." Dan said with a smug face.
"..I'm starting to see why Reimu is annoyed by you."
"Ouch, I'm hurt Marisa. I thought you cared about me." Dan said with fake sadness.
"TAKE THIS!"
Marisa pulled her Mini-Hakkero in front of Dan and fired another beam.
Of course Dan avoided that but Marisa moved her beam, trying to hit Dan.
"HOLD STILL DAMN IT!" Marisa cursed.
She then felt a tap on her shoulder.
Marisa spun to see that Dan was in front of her.
"Hey Marisa." Dan waived.
"...Wait, if your here, then who am I?..."
Marisa stopped firing her beam when she say 'Dan' on the ground unconscious. 'Dan' however turned into shadowy strings that came for Marisa.
Before Marisa could fly away, Dan was in front of her and pulled a card in front of her.
"Prepared to be 'blown away'."
The card glowed green as heavy wind descents Marisa to the ground. To add to her bad luck, the strings managed to clutch Marisa and drag her to the ground.
"AGH! DAMN IT!"
She tried to move her arms but the strings proved to be stronger than her.
Dan looked down and smiled.
"LET'S SEE YOU GET OUT OF THIS ONE!"
Dan then shot fire out of his mouth as it turned into a fireball, but he was done. The fireball was growing bigger and bigger.
Marisa looked up as her eyes shrank.
The fireball in question was the size of one of the meteors Dan used.
"DON'T DIE!" Dan said as the fireball was dropped down.
Time slowed down for Marisa as she saw her doom coming to her.
'How do I get out of this...What can I do...Crap, mind's going blank...DAMN IT! If Reimu was in this position, she would've figured it out how to escape this trap!...THAT'S IT!'
Marisa pulled her arm holding her Mini-Hakkero and struggled to aim to the ground.
"Loving Heart Double Spark!"
The Mini-Hakkero sparked before a beam bigger than normal fired at the ground.
Not only did it disintegrate the strings holding her, but the momentum launched her into the air before the fireball hit the ground as it combusted and turned into a large firey hurricane than nearly singed her broom.
"YES! I DID IT!...Do I smell smoke?"
Marisa turned and saw her broom nearly on fire.
"AH! NO!NO!NO!"
Marisa cried out as she swats her broom, trying to put out the fire.
"Good job Marisa."
Marisa turned to Dan who gave her a thumbs up.
"YOU ALMOST KILLED ME! WORSE YOU NEARLY BURNED MY BROOM!" Marisa pointed an accusing finger to Dan with a tickmark.
" 'Almost' is the key word here." Dan said nonchalantly.
"Grr...Light Blast Shoot the Moon!"
Dan looked down and saw magic circles under him.
Dan quickly flew up as they fired large blue and red lasers at him.
Marisa had a smug look on her face as she aimed at Dan.
"TAKE THIS DAN!"
She fired another Double Spark at Dan.
Dan looked down and the lasers were being fired at him.
Dan materialized another card as it glowed orange.
The card engulfed Dan as the lasers hit him.
"YES! I got him this time!"
Marisa's smile was gone when one of her own beams shot right back her as she barely dodged it.
"What?!"
Marisa looked down and her eyes widen when she saw Dan encased in an orange crystal!
The magic circles were shot down with their own lasers, causing them to disappear.
Dan's crystal shattered into pieces.
"Whew, hadn't used that in a while. Nice thinking Marisa! You had me cornered there!"
Marisa blushed.
"Oh really? Well thank you, see I thought that-HEY! I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! YOU WON'T GET IN MY HEAD!"
Marisa floated up.
'Damn it, everything I'm throwing at him he either dodges or counters. Dan is not to be underestimated.'
She looked at her Mini-Hakkero and saw that electricity was racing.
'And my Mini-Hakkero is almost out of juice. Which means I have one last chance to use this against him. But in order for to actually hit Dan, I need to make sure he has no time to react...I GOT IT!'
Marisa reached into her dress and pulled out a some pots and tossed them to the ground.
"...Are those pots? Why is she doing that?"
As soon as they made contact with the ground, a bright light engulfed him.
'What!? I can't see!'
"Now's my chance!"
Marisa aimed her Mini-Hakkero at the end of her broom.
"Comet Blazing Star!"
Marisa flew at very fast, but she knew it wasn't enough.
"Love Spark!"
The beam made Marisa fly even faster.
'Okay, time to make or break.'
Marisa pulled her Mini-Hakkero and pulled it in front of her.
Dan rubbed his eyes as he looked to see Marisa inches from him with her Mini-Hakkero.
Marisa smiled in triumph.
"Magicannon Final Master Spark!"
Her Mini-Hakkero crackled with electricty before a huge beam engulfed Dan and caused Marisa to be launched a few feet away due to the recoil.
Marisa got up and jumped in joy.
'Okay, I don't know if it actually hurt Dan or not, but I'm sure I got him this time!'
"That was a nice try Marisa, a really nice try. But unfortunately for you..."
Marisa quickly looked to Dan's position.
She was sure she hit him with that final attack!
Her eyes shrank when she saw Dan.
Her last attack was being absorbed! Dan had her attack being taken into his gem!
"It wasn't enough...Time to return to sender!"
Dan's gem glowed as it fired Marisa's final attack back at her.
Marisa was so stunned that she didn't even move.
'Even after all that...I still couldn't do anything to him...'
The beam engulfed Marisa.
The beam disappeared as Marisa's hat fell to the ground.
Marisa herself was nearly unconscious. Her own clothes became scorched and her own skin suffered burns from her own attack.
Dan walked up to Marisa and smiled.
"You okay?"
Marisa grits her teeth as she covered her eyes with her own arm.
"I...Couldn't even hurt you...I gave everything I have with that final attack...And even then it wasn't enough...I knew I couldn't do better than Reimu...But at the very least I thought I could at least hurt you once...I really am weak..."
Dan pulled her up and carried Marisa on her shoulder.
"Hey, none of that self-pity now. You shouldn't be ashamed at giving it your all."
"B-But I still couldn't land an attack, how am I suppose to prove to you that I am strong."
"Oh Marisa you goob. Being strong isn't all about any of what you're thinking about."
"Then...What is it about?"
"Sorry, I can't tell you that. You're going to have to figure that out yourself. But what I can tell you is that your actually much stronger than you realize."
"...Dan, I lied earlier."
"About what?"
"...I was scared. Meeting both Flandre and Remilia showed me that I was inferior to both of them. And the idea of having to fight either of them again scared me...But...If what you're saying is true...Then I'm going to have to toss my fear away in order to stop the damn mist."
Dan smiled. "Good Marisa, you found your resolve. But remember, you're not going to fight them alone, Reimu and I will have your back."
"You really are a strange yokai."
Dan walked up and grabbed Marisa's hat.
"You're going to need this Marisa Kirisame." Dan showed Marisa her hat.
Marisa quickly puts it on while blushing.
"Thank you Dan."
Reimu turned her head as Dan and Marisa entered her room.
"You guys are back."
"Yep! Thanks to Dan, I feel much better now!" Marisa stated while smiling.
"Easy there rainbow. You need some rest." Dan insisted.
The former brawler gently puts down on her makeshift bed.
"Here, let me heal you a bit."
Dan said as he put his palm on Marisa's head. His hand glowing as he was healing Marisa.
"Dan Kuso...I'll say it again, I'm sorry I misunderstood you from the beginning." Reimu said.
"Don't worry, its fine."
"...It's not fine. As the current Shrine Maiden, I can't make improper judgement. If I hadn't walked out of the barrier...Then Marisa wouldn't have..."
"That's enough Reimu. What matters is that both of you are still here." Dan said as he finished healing Marisa.
"That is true, we almost met our end if it wasn't for you. Which is why you have my eternal thanks." Reimu stated.
"You know, if you really want to thank me, you can make me something to eat."
Marisa grew pale as she stared at Dan.
"What?"
"I've read somewhere...That some yokai tends to eat humans." Marisa explained.
"What?!"
"It's true, not all yokai do though. But I've exterminated yokai who attack humans just to eat them." Reimu added.
"...That is messed up." Dan said with a grim expression on his face.
"How do you not know that? Your a yokai yourself, haven't you met any other yokai such as yourself."
"Nope, Yukari made it clear that-"
"Wait, did you say Yukari? As in Yukari Yakumo?"
"Yeah, I've known Yukari for a hundred years."
Reimu immediately got up from her bed to stand in front of Dan.
"YOU KNOW THE OLD HAG?!" Reimu exclaimed.
"Yes." Dan said nonchalantly.
"How!?" Reimu demanded.
'...Crud, that would mean explaining the outside world to them.'
Dan understood that all of Genosokyo was sealed of from his real world. So explaining the modern world to them would be an awkward conversation.
'In that case Dan, leave out anything about outside of Genosokyo.'
'Good idea'.
"When I was 19, Yukari Yakumo introduced me to Genosokyo. I was human at the time."
"Wait, so you were once human?!" Marisa questioned.
"Yeah, as soon as I stepped foot into Genosokyo, I transformed into a yokai."
"Wow. I recall that its rare for humans to become yokai. They were to be special conditions for that to happen." Marisa explained.
'She's not wrong.'
"There's just one thing about that though...When we first met, you said you were both Yokai and Bakugan. And I'm positive that I've never heard of Bakugan in all of Genosokyo and Yukari never once mentioned it...Of course she might and she never told me about it because its Yukari we're talking about, but you get my point." Reimu pointed out.
"Yeah, you mentioned the word Bakugan. What is that exactly?" Marisa asked.
"...It's what I become when I first stepped foot into Genoskyo. It's another species that you aren't aware of. As of right now, I can't tell you. But I will once we stop this mist."
Reimu crossed her arms as she stares at Dan.
"...Alright. I guess that's fair. But let me ask one last question, why did the old hag want you in Genoskyo in the first place?" Reimu questioned.
"...To give me a new purpose in life." Dan answered.
Marisa yawned loudly.
"Well I'm tired. I'm going need some sleep in order to get some energy to kick some vampire ass!" Marisa stated.
"While I don't like leaving things as it is. We need to rest in order to start our assault at the Scarlet Manor tomorrow."
"...Hey Reimu...If you don't mind...Can I sleep here for the night?"
"Don't you have a place to live?" Reimu said.
Dan scratched his head.
"Of course I do!...It's just that I'm worried about you both...What if Remilia Scarlet comes back and finishes the job?...And she brings Flandre to cause more havoc?...I certainly can't risk that...O-Of course I'm not saying you two are weak or anything...I'm just concerned for your safety and-"
"You can sleep here." Reimu cuts Dan off.
"GREAT!...For you guys...Because I will be here...Protecting you guys." Dan said while looking nervous.
"...Of course." Reimu said.
'I think she bought that.'
'Partner...It's been a century and you still have trouble with women.'
'I DON'T!'
'Do I need to bring up Yuyuko again?'
'...No...'
"Dan you alright?" Reimu asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
Later...
Marisa and Reimu was sound asleep while Dan and were still up. Dan in particular was staring at the ceiling.
"To be honest, I'm actually glad this happened...Well I'm not glad that Flandre was taken, Marisa and Reimu were almost killed, and that bitch Remilia plunged her arm into me...But I'm happy to actually go another adventure again. And the stakes don't seem to bad this time. Just stopping a red mist that's covering all of Genoskyo. We can do that."
"Dan, I hope you haven't forgotten that to do that, you would need to fight Remilia Scarlet again, and most likely the people who work for her...Even Flandre."
"Of course I haven't forgotten. And I still have her scent. Tracking her down should be easy."
"So what's the plan?"
"Simple, we track Remilia down, bust down her Manor, take down anyone that stands in our way, rescue Flandre, kick Remilia Scarlet's ass, and stop the mist. Followed by having a large lunch."
"...You haven't changed at all."
Dan smiled.
"Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
"Try telling that to your dating life."
"Shut up Drago."
"Speaking of which, I noticed how quickly you became attached to them."
"...Elaborate."
"Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame, both people you met in one day, yet for some reason, you found yourself dedicated to protecting them."
"Well duh! Flandre would've killed Marisa if I hadn't intervened."
"What about Reimu?"
"...I just feel bad for her that's all."
"Dan, we've been sharing this body for the last century. And I can feel what your feeling. So don't try to hide them."
"...If you know already, then why are you asking?"
"Dan, I'm not trying to judge you here...I'm just worried about you."
"...You think its unhealthy don't you? That I'm using Reimu and Marisa as a substitute...To pretend that my friends are still here with me?"
"Dan-"
"Don't! I already made my choice a long time ago! I chose to come here! They no longer needed me! Why wouldn't they!? After everything I've done for them! They all moved on with their lives. Meanwhile I was left behind with nothing...No longer being useful...No longer having a purpose..."
"..."
"...I'm sorry Drago, I didn't mean to take it out on you...Even after all this years, I thought I could bury my emotions deep inside me."
"Dan, it's alright...In a way, I can understand...Remember after what happened after the final battle with Naga, after we all returned to Vestroia?"
Dan chuckled.
"How can I forget? Ironically, I believe it to be the best time when the original gang were together...Despite the fact that the world was ending."
"I too thought after we parted ways, that I would never see each other again, that my role was done, that I no longer had a purpose."
"But then New Vestrioa was being attacked by the Vexos and you were sent back to Earth."
"Exactly. I was very happy to see you again after so long. Even if the situation was dire."
"Me too."
"All I'm trying to say Dan, is that we can't escape our past, but we can use them to create a future for ourselves."
"Hmph. As always your the better adult here than me. Thanks Drago, I keep forgetting that I'm not alone."
"Despite everything that has happened to us, I'm glad I'm here with you partner."
"Me too."
Unknown to them, Reimu was awake and heard the whole conversation.
"...He's been alone all this time too."
Marisa and Reimu were woken up by the smell of something delicious.
"Glad to see you're up! Good morning!" Dan greeted them.
Both girls were surprised to see Dan holding plates stacked with food.
"Dan...What in the devil are those?" Reimu pointed to the food.
"Oh this, is something I made for both of you." Dan said.
"You made food...For us?" Reimu was taken back by this gesture.
"LOOK AT THAT STACK! OF COURSE HE MADE IT FOR US!..." Marisa turned to Dan. "It's for us right?"
"Yes."
"THEN THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!" Marisa snatched a plate and starting scarfing down the food.
"THIS TASTES SO WONDERFUL! WHAT IS THIS FOOD?!" Marisa stated as she kept chewing.
"Pancakes...Just to be clear, I invented them." Dan stated.
'And by invite, you mean stole from some poor sap from the outside world and pretending you took create for it. Your really starting to turn into Yukari.'
'Let me have this one thing Drago!' Dan argued.
"Dan, not that I'm ungrateful. But why did you do this?" Reimu questioned.
"Today we need all the energy we need in order to fight Remilia Scarlet and we can't do that on an empty stomach."
"I can definitely agree to that!" Marisa added.
"Here Reimu, I know you don't want to be hungry." He gestured the plate of pancakes.
Reimu stared at Dan and at the food.
'When was the last time anyone offered anything to me out of the kindness of their hearts?'
"Reimu?"
"Oh! Sorry Dan! Thank you for the food. Though...What about you? Aren't you hungry too?"
"Don't worry about me, I already had breakfast."
'From some other poor person from the outside world.'
'I DON'T KNOW HOW TO COOK OKAY!'
'That's sad, especially considering how old you are.'
'SHUT UP DRAGO!'
Later...
Dan, Marisa, and Reimu were outside of the shrine and started walking towards the path of the Scarlet Manor.
"Follow me guys."
"Dan, are sure this is the way?" Marisa asked.
"Hey, the nose knows!" Dan replied.
The trio stopped when they saw a lake.
Dan flapped his wings, Marisa rode on her broom, and Reimu just floats.
"I recognize this place, I've heard stories about it." Reimu said.
"Oh what about?" Marisa asked her friend.
"That a yokai from the darkness drags humans down into this lake and drowns them. Then eats their remains and leaving nothing but bones." Reimu stated.
Marisa started sweating bullets.
"B-But those are just rumors right?" Marisa stammered.
"Hey guys look a skull."
Marisa turns around and Dan holds a wet human skull in his hands.
"AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!" Marisa screamed as she cried anime tears.
Reimu had a deadpan expression.
"Really?" She asked Dan.
Dan casually drops the skull back into the lake.
"We need to focus, there could be enemies lurking by." Reimu stated.
"Relax guys, there aren't any enemies here."
"Phew." Marisa breathed.
"There's just one."
"Huh?" Marisa said.
"HEY! I KNOW YOUR HIDING! I SENSED YA THE MOMENT WE ENTERED THE LAKE! JUST COME OUT AND SHOW YOURSELF!" Dan shouted.
"Why the hell are you giving away your location?!" Reimu spat.
"I can't believe you sensed me! You ruined the surprise!"
The three turn to a yokai.
She had red eyes, short blond hair. Wears a black vest and skirt, and white blouse. A small red amulet is tied to the left side of her hair, making it look like a ribbon.
"But I'm even more shocked that a yokai is with two humans and hasn't eaten them! What the heck?!" The yokai said.
"Sorry miss..."
"Rumia!"
"Rumia. I've grown to like these two humans."
"That's crazy! Who has ever heard of a yokai befriending humans!"
"It's not unheard of, but its rare." Reimu stated.
"Look, I really don't care who you are. But we need to beat a vampire bitch and your kind of in the way, so can you please move." Dan said.
Rumia had a tick mark over her head. "How dare you talk down over me! I can control darkness you know!"
"Yeah, but all you can really is make it night correct?" Dan told her.
"HOW DID-I mean, that's what I wanted you to think! I can do so much more!" Rumia suddenly vanished into the darkness!
"AH! DAN! SHE DISAPPEARED!" Marisa exclaimed.
"Relax Marisa, she didn't turn invisible, she just blended in with the darkness. In fact, I can sense her right now."
Dan flew over and yanked something. It turned out to be Rumia.
"Damn it. I was going to take a bite out of the blonde one first!" Rumia flailed.
"Well I can't let you do that. So if you could be a dear and kindly let us leave, that would be amazing thank you."
While this was going on, Marisa continued to float away from them until she bumped into something.
"OW! What the hell is..."
In front of Marisa was a purple barrier.
"GUYS! THERE'S A BARRIER HERE!" This got Reimu and Dan's attention as they floated to Marisa.
Reimu stares at the barrier. "I don't recognize this."
Dan however was in shock as he recognized it.
'Dan...That barrier...It can only mean...'
"Hehe...So you finally realized." They all turned to Rumia who's eyes were shadowed. A purple aura surrounded her.
Under them was the view of a giant black card glowing purple.
"No way! Dan, why does this yokai have your ability?!" Reimu questioned.
A dark fog was coming out of the card, engulfing them into darkness.
Marisa opened her eyes and was greeted by darkness.
"DAN!...REIMU!...WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?!"
"What's the matter little girl...Scared?" Came a demonic female voice that was Rumia.
"N-No! Of course not! I'm Marisa Kirisame! The best magician in all of Gensokyo!"
"Then why are you shaking like a rat?"
"S-SHUT UP!" Marisa fired a beam from her Mini-Hakerro, but hit nothing.
She fired again and again, but she didn't hit Rumia.
"All your doing is wasting your energy! But go ahead, keep doing it. It'll make my job a lot easier!" Rumia cackled.
With Reimu
Darkness, its all she could see and feel. Pitch black darkness.
"Damn it! How could I allow this to happen! The worst part is...I can't seem to make my way out of here, even with my abilities."
"That's why its easier for you to give up! Makes my meals more tasty!"
"Come out and face me yokai! I met scarier beings than you!" Reimu taunts Rumia.
"Oh...You are more braver than that magician wanna be. Too bad she's dead now! Boy she screamed a lot!"
"Your lying! Marisa would never die to you!"
"Are you sure? If that's the case, how come you didn't hear her voice."
"You must have some ability to mute out voices in the dark."
"Sorry, but you couldn't be more farther from the truth. If that was the case, why can you hear my voice?"
'Damn it...She has a point. The yokai could give me a quick death if I'm not careful.'
"Your mistake was underestimating me. But don't worry, you'll join your friend soon enough!"
Reimu grits her teeth in frustration. There was no point in blindly attacking. As fast as she was, the yokai could just see her attacks coming.
Rumia cackles darkly as she sees two of her meals.
"Time to eat."
Her mouth elongates until it was big enough to swallow a human adult whole.
She dived to Marisa who couldn't see Rumia.
Just as Rumia was about to bite Marisa's skin, Rumia was hit by a dozen of yellow glowing cards. Ceasing her attack as she falls.
'What?...But how?' Were her last thoughts before she became unconscious.
The darkness around them cracks and shatters like glass. Returning them to the evening like lake.
"REIMU!" Marisa cried out in joy.
Reimu smiled as she was happy to see Marisa unharmed.
"I'm glad your unhurt Marisa but..."
Reimu looks around them.
"How did we break free?"
"I believe I'm owed a thank you."
Both girls turn to Dan who was next to an unconscious Rumia.
"Is she..." Marisa saw Dan shaking his head.
"She's not dead, I just knocked her out. Though she'll be unconscious for a few days."
"But what happened though, what did she do?" Reimu questioned.
"Most likely she used the darkness around her to manipulate your senses. Such as your sight and hearing. Though why she allowed wanted both of you to hear her voice is a mystery. If it was me though, I would've just bitten both your heads clean off."
Marisa paled at the thought and shivered.
Reimu glared at Dan. "Stop scaring my friend."
"Sorry."
"More importantly, how were you able to get the jump on her?"
"Oh, well I had an ability to see her in the dark. I figured I would get her while her guard was down." Dan explained.
"Thank you Dan. Though I am ashamed that a yokai like her almost killed us." Reimu lamented.
"Chill, as long as I'm here, I won't let anything bad happen to you." Dan declared.
"Let's get out of here!"
Marisa floats to the exit, Reimu following her.
'Dan, are you not going to ask Rumia how she used a field card?'
"Someone like her wouldn't have that type of knowledge Drago. Besides, I have a hunch that we'll find our answer at that the Scarlet Manor."
'...If you say so.'
Scarlet Manor Lake
They were no longer in a forest, now they were flying over a large lake. Though it was covered in a fog
At the distance, the three saw a large mansion.
"If I was a self pompous vampire bitch, I would definitely be hiding there." Dan said.
"I heard many stories about this lake as well. If any humans enter this fog, they'll only last 30 minutes before it kills them." Reimu said.
Marisa sighs heavily. "Why do you guys keep doing this to me?"
"Intruders!"
The three turn to see fairies charging at them.
Marisa and Reimu were ready to take action when then motions them to stop.
"Don't worry, I got this."
Dan materialized a card and threw it into the lake.
The lake glowed blue as the water transformed into a giant water dragon head. It opened its jaws and chomped down on most of the fairies. Killing them instantly. The water returned to normal.
Both girls stared at Dan.
Dan had a question mark over his head.
"Too much?"
"WAY too much." Reimu said.
"Relax, they'll just respawn." Dan said casually.
It was true, fairies in Genosokyo are technically immortal. Even if you kill them, they'll just be brought back to life.
"Besides I didn't want you guys to waste your energy. Meanwhile I have tons to spare." Dan stated.
They continued to fly over the lake.
"Guys, am I the only to notice frozen fairies in the water?" Marisa stated.
Dan and Reimu looked down at the lake and noticed there were fairies encased in ice.
"That is strange. It looked like someone tried to fight the fairies. But fairies aren't usually violent creatures." Reimu said.
"Then why did those fairies look like they were ready to kill us?" Marisa questioned.
"HELP! PLEASE ANYONE HELP ME!"
The three saw a fairy being turned to ice in the water.
She had short green hair with yellow ribbon. Wears a blue dress with white trim and sleeves. Also has golden wings.
Dan quickly flew to her and lifted her up from the lake.
"You okay?"
"Y-Yes...A few seconds longer and I could've been frozen like them."
Marisa and Reimu float to Dan.
"You, fairy, what has happened here?" Reimu demanded.
"My name is Daiyousei. And what's going on is my friend went insane. She started freezing all our friends." Daiyousei explained.
"Who is your friend?" Dan asked.
"Oh Daiyousei! Why aren't you frozen yet?!"
"Oh no, its Cirno."
They turned to another fairy.
She had blue eyes, aqua-colored hair and six icicle-shaped wings. Wears a blue ribbon, light pink blouse and blue jumper dress.
"Who the hell are you three?"
"I'm-"
"It doesn't matter! I'll cryo-freeze ya!" Cirno cut off Reimu as she prepared her magic.
"Snow Sign Diamond Blizzard!" Blue orbs popped out of existence not before they exploded into ice shaped diamonds.
"Cirno no!" Daiyousei pleaded. She saw some diamonds about to hit her. She closed her eyes, expecting pain but didn't feel anything. She opened her eyes to see Dan in front of her and was holding the diamonds he caught.
"Listen Daiyousei. Clearly something is affecting your friend. Just get out of here, we'll snap her back to normal."
Daiyousei stared at Dan, then at Cirno who was smiling darkly.
"Please save her." She said as she flew away from the fight.
"Oh hell no! There's no way your escaping!" Cirno stated.
Daiyousei then bumped into an invisible force. It revealed itself to be a blue barrier.
A giant blue card can be seen under them.
"Another field card? First Rumia and now her?" Dan said to himself.
Cirno's body glowed a light blue aura.
A geyser of water suddenly burst and engulfed Daiyousei. This time encasing her in ice completely. Her form fell into the water.
"1 down, 3 to go!" Cirno sang.
Marisa and Reimu were shocked at what happened.
"MARISA!"
The magician quickly turn to Reimu. "Don't let the water touch you! It'll freeze you instantly!" Reimu warned. Most fairies in Genosokyo were weak. But Cirno herself was an exception.
More geysers erupted from the lake as Reimu and Marisa tried so hard to avoid getting frozen.
"Dan! Quick, freeze the lake!" Reimu stated.
Dan looked down and threw a card into the field card. It entered the card and the water rippled until it started to freeze.
Cirno saw that the water was now frozen. Meaning she couldn't manipulate the water anymore.
"Oh come on! Now how am I suppose to cryo-freeze you?" Cirno stated with annoyance.
"Here's an idea...DON'T!" Marisa screamed.
"Listen Cirno, you can't use the lake to freeze us anymore. Your only option is to give up!" Reimu demanded.
Cirno's eyes were shadowed as she laughed.
"Who said I needed the lake to cryo-freeze ya?"
Dan saw the field card glowing blue.
A shadow loomed over the three. They looked up to see a giant cloud looming over them.
"Freeze Sign Perfect Freeze!"
What rained from the clouds were small red, yellow, blue, and green orbs. One of the orbs hit Reimu's left arm. And it instantly froze her arm.
"AGH!" Reimu screamed.
"Reimu no-AGGGGHHHHHH!" Marisa's right leg was frozen.
This was a very bad situation. They couldn't avoid it. The attack was raining at them like snow.
Marisa took a shot and hoped on her broom with her one leg and aimed her Mini-Hakkero at the cloud and fired a love spark.
Though it created a large hole in the cloud, it stitched it self back up.
"No way..." Her arm became frozen after she fired it. To make things worse, her left leg also became frozen. And the ice was making her broom slippery as she slipped off her broom.
"AAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Marisa screamed.
"Marisa!" Reimu cried out.
Dan quickly descended and caught Marisa before she hit the ground.
"Don't worry I got you." Dan said as he flapped his wings and flew to Cirno.
"Hey! How come your not cryo-frozen!?" Cirno was sure those orbs hit Dan, so why didn't it work on the yokai.
"The cold never bothered me anyway. And I think its time we heat things up don't ya think?" Dan points to the lake. And Cirno lookd down. She saw Dan placed another card on the field card, but it glowed red this time. The field card was glowing red.
From the card, a pillar of fire was created and it engulfed everyone in the barrier.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! TOOOO HOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT! TOOOOO HOOOOTTTTT FOR CIRNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Cirno cried out in pain.
The flames dispersed. The ice melted off of Marisa and Reimu. As for Cirno, she was scorched. It didn't help that she was an ice fairy.
"I want too...Cryo freeze...Ya..." Cirno closed her eyes as she fell into the lake.
The field card cracked and shattered into pieces, so did the barrier. Everyone who were frozen by Cirno, was freed of their icy prisons.
Daiyousei swam out of the water and saw Cirno's form floating.
"Cirno!" She swam to her friend.
Daiyousei grabbed Cirno.
"Cirno! Cirno! Please wake up!"
Cirno's eyes opened slowly and saw Daiyousei in tears.
"Daiyousei...What happened?" Cirno asked.
"You idiot! I'm just happy your okay." Daiyousei hugged Cirno.
The three saw the interaction.
"I think they'll be fine now. Let's go. The sooner we stop the mist the better." Dan said.
Both girls nod.
They flew to the island of the mansion
Island of the Scarlet Manor
The three landed on the island.
"The scent is getting stronger, just follow me." Dan stated
"Are we not going to talk about what happened back there?" Reimu questioned Dan.
"I don't think now is the best time to ask." Dan was really hoping to avoid this conversation.
"Why did those enemies have the same abilities as you?" Reimu stated.
"I'll be honest, that's what I'm trying to figure out. But I'm drawing blanks at the moment." Dan answered.
'I get where she's coming from Dan. WE should be the only here in Genoskyo with those abilities.'
'God damn it. Why can't my adventures be simple? There's always this goddamn plot twist we haven't seen coming.'
"Dan can I ask a question?" Marisa asked.
"Sure. We have time."
"Are you going to rescue Flandre?" Dan stared at Marisa for a while.
"Yes I am."
"Even though...She tried to kill us before...Even though she allowed her sister to come to us..." Marisa tilts her hat.
"Despite all that, I'm still going to save her."
"But why? Why risk saving someone like that?" Marisa didn't want to be mean, but she didn't see the point of saving someone like Flandre.
"You guys may see her as a monster, but I see her as a broken little girl...I mean she's 495 years so the term doesn't really make any sense...You know what I mean." Dan said.
"Okay, lets just say you do save her from Remilia. What's the plan afterwards. There's no way she can go back to village after what she has done." Reimu posed the question.
Dan rubbed his chin as he started thinking.
"After I kicked Remilia's ass, I'm going to have Flandre live with me. Don't worry, she'll be away from the village."
"I guess that makes sense, if anyone could handle her, it would be you." Reimu stated.
The three saw the mansion in front of them behind a gate.
"Woah, I never seen a mansion that huge." Marisa exclaimed.
"Not impressive. I've seen bigger." 'God, I miss my old mansion.'
'I'm still baffled how you were able to obtain a building like that.'
'When your a savior of three worlds, there are perks.'
In front of them was a woman who was standing guard, though she was sleeping.
She has teal eyes. Has long, straight scarlet hair with two braids tied with black ribbons. Wears an olive green cap with a bronze star with the chinsese characters in the middle. Wears a decorated olive green dress with a white blouse underneath. Has a black ribbon tied on the collar of her blouse.
"Looks like she's the guard here. Makes sense though." Reimu said.
"Pfftt. She doesn't look so tuff. She's sleeping, this will be a piece of cake."
Marisa ran to the gate.
Reimu sighs at Marisa's brashness.
Dan however was observing the women sleeping.
When Marisa took another step near the gate. The woman's eyes opened and she jumped and raised her leg to stomp the intruder.
A loud crash could be heard as dust picked up. The dust was removed from the scene.
The woman was now awake and created a small crater. Dan was in front of her, holding Marisa as the magician's face paled.
"Holy crap..." She looks at the crater.
"That could've been me..." Marisa squeaked.
Reimu was in shock.
"That woman...I barely saw her move!" Reimu stated. Remilia Scarlet was no fool. She didn't pick some idiot yokai to guard a gate.
"You...Woke me up from my nap!" The guard yokai exclaimed.
This caused Dan and Reimu to sweat drop.
"Maybe she did pick an idiot to guard this gate." Reimu said.
"HEY! I HEARD THAT! AND I'M NOT JUST SOME IDIOT! I'M HONG MEILING! THE GATE KEEPER OF THE SCARLET MANOR!" She proudly declared.
"Sweet another yokai. And she isn't blood thirsty as Rumia. My name is Dan Kuso. This Marisa Kirisame."
"Hi..." Marisa waves to Hong Meiling.
"And this is Reimu Hakurei." Dan gestured to Reimu.
"Ah! Now I remember. Remilia warned me about you three. Especially you!" She points to Dan.
"Why did you have to wake me up? Now I have to fight ya...But I don't want to fight ya." She pouted.
"Wait, you don't want to fight me?" Dan asked.
"Of course not! I just want to sleep some more!"
This made Reimu face fault.
"A guard who just wants to sleep...Even if you are a yokai...That's unethical." Reimu said in disbelief.
"Great. So if you would kindly let us through, that would be awesome." Dan said.
Hong Meiling poked her fingers.
"The thing is...I don't want Remilia to know that I did a horrible job defending the gate."
'Your kidding me.' Thought Reimu in annoyance.
"If Remilia found I just let you through the gate, she'll fire me." Hong Meiling explained.
'I'm surprised she hasn't fired you yet.' Thought Dan and Reimu.
"I've got a solution."
Marisa got up and walked to Hong Meiling.
"You seem to really good with martial arts or something." Marisa stated.
Hong Meiling puffed up her chest. "Well I don't mean to brag but...I am very skilled with it."
"Yes, I've never seen a yokai who's good with physical attacks before." Reimu noted.
"And Dan here is pretty strong." Marisa said. And Dan nods.
"So why don't you two have a martial artist match! If Dan wins, you'll let us through."
"Hmm...And what if I win..."
"You get to eat both Marisa and Reimu." Dan stated while grinning.
"That's right you-WHAT?!" Marisa turned to Dan with her eyes bugging out.
"Wow, not only will I get more sleep, praise from Remilia, but I'll have two meals. It has been a while since I ate a human. It's a deal!"
Marisa started sweating bullets while Reimu said nothing.
Dan walked up to Hong Meiling and stretched his arms.
"It's been a while since I participated in a physical fight."
"Ho ho, don't get cocky handsome. I've had more experience with martial arts than you." Hong Meiling stated as she walked to Dan.
Both Marisa and Reimu were watching both yokai ready to fight.
Hong Meiling got into a stance while Dan just stood there.
'He's not taking a stance? His defense is wide open!' Thought the gatekeeper yokai.
Hong Meiling raised her right leg and launched her feet to Dan's face.
To her surprise. Dan blocked the attack with his hand. Hong Meiling's eyes widen.
"But how?! I didn't even see you move!" Hong Meiling jumped backwards to cover her distance.
Dan said nothing but smile as he appeared in front of the gate keeper and launched an uppercut.
Hong Meiling caught Dan's hand with both her hands. Dan however didn't let up, he did a flip and raised his foot to launch an axe kick.
Hong Meiling removed Dan's hand and jumped away before Dan's foot hit her head.
The gatekeeper noticed the cracks on the ground Dan's kick made.
'This guys no ordinary yokai. I can see why Remilia warned me about him.'
The gatekeeper ran and then spun herself so she could kick Dan again.
The former brawler raised an eyebrow but decided to block again. Dan noticed there was a rainbow like aura around her feet. At the last second, he moved out the way as the kick grazed his face. A cut formed on his cheek.
"Hey! I thought this a pure martial arts battle." Dan stated.
Hong Meiling smirked. "You never said that magic wasn't allowed. That and you are my enemy and intruding on Remilia's land. My job is to make sure nobody apart from the Scarlet Manor residents enter here."
'Of course she's not going to fight fair. What did I expect?'
"Fine, two can play it that game." Dan declared.
From his shadow, emerged another Dan.
"Ah man, two against one."
Shadow Dan did a front flip over Hong Meiling as the real Dan charged at her.
Hong Meiling turned around to block a punch while the real Dan spun and launched a kick.
The gatekeeper used her other hand to block the kick.
Shadow Dan launched a right hook, but Hong Meiling blocked it. Dan launched a left kick, Hong Meiling also blocked.
"No way! Even with two Dans she can keep up with him?!" Marisa exclaimed.
"I know...I never seen a yokai like her that has this much physical prowess." Reimu stated in disbelief.
Hong Meiling caught both punches from the two Dans.
"If this is all you got, then I'll have to end this fight soon."
"I couldn't agree more." Dan stated.
Hong Meiling turned to attack Dan again only to stop in place.
"What? Why can't I move?!" It was like her body was frozen in place.
She looked down and saw some dark lines entangling her body.
Hong Meiling turned around and saw shadow Dan's body turning into a shadow and was reaching her body.
"Sorry about this red, but I got a vampire to beatdown and another vampire to save."
Dan said as his fist was engulfed in flames.
Hong Meiling tried to move but couldn't move her feet due to the shadow entanglement.
Dan landed a punch through her stomach. Which sent the gate keeper flying and crash into the gate. She then slumps to the ground.
"YOU DID IT DAN!" Marisa cheered.
"Marisa, its not over yet." Reimu stated.
"Huh?" Marisa turned to Reimu.
"But..."
"She's right." Marisa then turned to Dan.
"She's getting back up."
True to his word, Hong Meiling picked herself up and stared at Dan, then smiled.
"Never thought I would have to go all out."
She placed both her hands together.
"Chi Sign Fierce Tiger Energy Release"
A large rainbow pillar surrounded Hong Meiling.
Dan rubbed the back of his head. "And of course, this fight will get harder."
The rainbow pillar dispersed and Hong Meiling disappeared in front of their eyes.
Dan's eyes widen at how fast Hong Meiling became.
"Impossible! She's moving at a speed that's naked to the human eye!" Reimu deduced while sweating.
He quickly blocked with his left arm as Hong Meiling launched a palm strike coated with a rainbow aura.
"GAH!" Even though Dan blocked it, for some reason, he felt pain surge through his left arm.
"I'm impressed you managed to react that fast. Only Remilia and Sakuya can keep up with me in this state." The gatekeeper disappeared again.
'She's on my right!' Thought Dan as he turned around and launched a kick at her head, only for her to block it with her hand. Dan now felt pain in his right foot.
Dan backed away from Hong Meiling and figured a direct approach wasn't going to work now.
Dan inhaled and unleash a large fireball at the gatekeeper. Of course she dodged it, but there was a lot of smoke from the impact.
Dan then saw her silhouette in the smoke.
His right hand sparked electricity as his fingers turned into claws. He ran at Hong Meiling and clawed at her. But to his shock, the silhouette he saw wasn't the gatekeeper at all.
"Got you." Dan heard as he felt a palm strike hit him behind.
The smoke cleared and Hong Meiling was behind him, smiling.
Dan grits his teeth as he turns to her. Hong Meiling started running and circling Dan. She was moving so fast that it looked like there were multiple Meilings running around him.
"Flower Sign Colorful Light Lotus Flower Palm!"
Hong Meiling declared as she struck Dan with multiple palm strikes.
The girls saw what was happening and was worried for Dan.
"I don't get it. Most yokais know spirit and long ranged attacks. Yet this yokai has magic to amplify her physical attacks." Reimu stated.
"I really hope Dan will be able to beat her." Marisa said concerned for the former brawler.
"We can't interfere Marisa. All we can do is hope for the best." Reimu said with a frown.
Hong Meiling struck Dan one last time as the former brawler was sent flying and skids to the ground.
Dan slowly got up but felt wobbly.
"I'll admit. You lasted a lot longer than I thought you would. But I'm afraid that you won't be able to stand much longer. One more attack and your finished." Hong Meiling declared.
Her body glowed with a rainbow aura.
"Blazing Strike Dapeng-Felling Fist!"
Hong Meiling appeared in front of Dan with both her fists engulfed in a rainbow like aura.
"DAN NO!" Marisa cried out.
'Don't die...' Reimu pleaded.
Dan then grinned when the attack hit him. What happened was that Meiling's fists went through Dan's body as a purple hole opened up in Dan's torso.
"What the hell?!"
"Surprised?"
Darkus energy engulfed Dan's arm.
"You see Hong Meiling, every time you hit me, my body absorbed the power and impact behind it. Still hurts though."
Hong Meiling was stunned at what was going on, so were Marisa and Reimu.
"Checkmate." Dan slammed his fist into Meiling's stomach. The power of the punch was too strong for her. Hong Meiling was sent flying, this time her body broke through the gate and she crashed into the wall of the mansion.
Dan walked to the now destroyed gate, Reimu and Marisa followed. The three saw Hong Meiling on the ground unconscious...Not before snoring loudly.
"Unbelievable. Even after being beaten to unconsciousness, she still finds a way to sleep." Reimu deadpanned.
"I'm so glad your alright Dan." Marisa smiled.
"Yeah, to be honest. Her attacks were killer. She definitely did some damage to me." Dan admitted.
'And that was just the gatekeeper. No doubt the ones inside are much stronger than her.' Drago told him.
The three saw the door open by itself.
"That's not creepy at all." Dan stated.
"Looks like Remilia was expecting us." Reimu deduced.
Marisa tilts her hat and was looking brave.
The three walk into the manor.
Scarlet Devil Mansion Main Floor
"Jeeze, this place would make a person feel old." Dan said.
The doors slammed shut when they entered.
The former brawler stopped in place and turned to the girls with a serious expression.
"Listen you guys. You probably already know this, but the people here are much stronger than Hong Meiling. Best case scenario. We fight all of them together. Worst case scenario. We're separated and they'll pick us off one by one."
Dan then smiled. "But don't worry, as long as we work together and stay by our side. We should be able to make out of here in one piece."
Marisa turned to Reimu looking pumped.
"Dan's right! With me as the number one magician, you as the shrine maiden, and Dan, we'll kick ass right Dan...Dan?"
Both girls saw that Dan was no longer there, almost as if he vanished.
With Dan
Dan blinked and saw that he was in a hallway.
"That was weird...Oh shit! I got separated from them!" Whenever his team got separated, things always go from bad to worse. New Vestroia was a clear example.
"Dan, I'm afraid were in a very delicate situation." Drago said grimly.
"What do you mean?"
"I wasn't able to detect it before. But the moment we entered this mansion...Dan, there's a barrier around us."
To be sure, Dan materialized a card and it glowed. Dan's eyes widen when the card stopped glowing and electricty surged through his hand.
"No way...That's not possible unless..."
"Someone in this manor activated a field card." Drago finished.
"The moment we stepped on this island, the card activated. Damn it! That means I can't access my void. And I can't take the girls out of here." Dan stated.
"Dan Kuso..."
Dan heard footsteps as he looked and recognized who it was.
"Remember when I said that if we met again, I would kill you where you stood?" Sakuya Izayoi stood in front of Dan with knives in her hand. She opened her red eyes and smiled darkly.
"I intend to uphold that promise."
With Reimu and Marisa.
"DAN IS GONE! DAN'S NOT HERE!"
Marisa ran around Reimu while panicking.
"WE'RE SO SCREWED! WE'RE GOING TO DIE!"
"SNAP OUT OF IT!" Reimu had enough and slapped her best friend.
Marisa held her cheek.
"Thank you."
"Now, I don't know what happened to Dan, but its imperative that we continue the mission. Stop Remilia Scarlet and destroy the mist." Reimu stated.
Marisa nods. "Your right."
"Wait, I need to tell you something."
"Sure."
Reimu's face turned serious.
"In the likely event that we're separated. You need to know that me or Dan will not come to save you. In other words, your responsible for your own survival." Reimu spoke.
Those words did not make Marisa feel better.
She looked to the ground as her hat covered her eyes.

Reimu woke up and saw she was in a familiar void.
"Hello Reimu."
Reimu groaned as she recognized who it was.
She turned to see Yukari Yakumo.
"What the hell do you want old hag? Can't you see I'm trying to save Genosokyo?!" Reimu explained.
"Yes...And I'm afraid I can't let you continue." Yukari spoke.
"What? Why the hell not?" Reimu started walking to Yukari.
"Of all the things that came out of your mouth, that has the most ridiculous thing you-"
Reimu didn't get to finish as she had to backflip to avoid beign skewered by a stop sign.
"...Old hag, did you just try to kill me?"
Yukari started laughing, but just the laughing made Reimu uneasy.
"Oh Reimu...I'm sorry my dear...But you have to die."
Reimu knew she was in for a tough time.
"Yukari-sama! You felt it too right?!" Ran spoke to her master in a serious tone.
Yukari frowned.
"Yes, he's back. And if he's here, then I fear that our secret will be exposed soon."
