The Brawling Yokai of Gensokyo

Yukari Yakumo and Ran were was watching Dan through one of her 'eyes'.

"I've decided Ran, that Dan Kuso is the one."

Ran gasped in shock.

"Yukari-sama, are you sure?"

"I am positive Ran, I believe he is the only one who can defeat him."

"Forgive Yukari-sama, but I don't believe this is the wisest decision. Given everything he has done as a human. I'm sure he is tired of being a hero by now."

"True, but I've been watching him for 19 years. I've seen his entire life. I know his personality, how he acts, his resolve, everything. He won't stop being needed because there are no more threats now. I'll give him a purpose to feel needed again."

"Yukari-sama, I don't like the way your wording it."

"I know Ran, I don't like that I would have to lie to Dan Kuso. But for the sake of the world...No, for the sake of the entire universe, it has to be him and only him. He is the only one who can save us from my greatest failure."

Ran stared at her master with sympathy.

"Yukari-sama, I know you keep going back to that day, but it wasn't your fault, you didn't know that-"

"Ran, please..." Yukari spoke softly. "Don't remind me of what happened...And it was 100% my fault."

"Forgive me Yukari-sama." Ran bowed her head.

"You don't need to apologize Ran. I know it was a long time ago, but it still hurts me knowing I could've done something to help him."

"Okay."

"Besides..." Yukari turned to the image of Dan and smiled.

"I'll treat Dan like he was my own son."

Present

Scarlet Manor

"So to summarize my situation. I was almost killed by a crazy vampire, saved by a handsome yokai, almost killed by the crazy vampire's older sister, almost killed by a yokai of darkness, almost froze to death by an ice fairy, almost stomped to death by a narcoleptic yokai, and now I'm separated from Dan and Reimu...Just my damn luck!"

Marisa complained. Her focus right now was to find...Actually, where was she suppose to find?

"Damn it! I don't know which direction to take. I mean I know I never been inside this mansion before but come on!"

Marisa then noticed a large red door that was on the main floor.

"I don't know where that door will take me, but I better hoof it in case whatever took Dan and Reimu comes for me as well."

Marisa stated as she ran to the door.

Scarlet Manor Library

As soon as she entered the room, Marisa's eyes sparkled.

"This...IS A LIBRARY!" Marisa exclaimed. She was in a very spacious library where there were dozens and dozens of never ending shelves and books!

"There are so many books! Tons of books! Books for me to borrow! And by borrow, I mean steal!"

Back home, Marisa had a tendency to steal things. She once stole a tv from an apartment. But what she liked stealing were books. She done it so many times that she was gained a nickname called sticky fingers.

"This library is so huge! I'm sure Remilia wouldn't mind if a few dozen books were stolen."

"Remilia wouldn't mind."

Marisa turned around and saw Patchouli Knowledge walking to her with a book in her hand.

"Me on the other hand, I would definitely mind!" Patchouli stated angrily.

"I'm guessing your the librarian."

"Correct. My name is Patchouli Knowledge and I'm a magician, but I'm also a witch. And your Marisa Kirisame. Remilia told me about you and Reimu Hakurei."

"So you know why were here?" Marisa questioned.

"Yes, to defeat my best friend Remilia and stop the mist since its blocking the sun in all of Genoskyo."

"Aren't you against it though? Think of consequences that will come from it. For example, without the sun, plants can't grow without sunlight."

Believe or not, Marisa was aware of the negative repercussions of the mist. She does spend time from time in a forest.

"I'm not against Remilia's ambitions. I simply live in this library. I have no need to go outside. So I don't care if the humans outside are suffering." Patchouli explained.

"Well, me and my friends are going to kick Remilia's ass!" Marisa declared.

Patchouli lightly chuckled.

"How amusing, the wannabe magician thinks she can defeat Remilia."

That comment made Marisa scowl at her. "What did you say?!"

Patchouli adjusted her glasses. "You heard me. You may be a magician but your only just human. Meanwhile I'm a natural magician. If you look at the facts, I have more magic, skills, and intelligence than you."

In Genoskyo. It was a known fact natural magicians were stronger and have more magical potential than human magicians since humans work much harder to receive the same results as natural magicians.

"T-That's not true. I was able to hold my own with Flandre."

Patchouli smirks. "Until she got bored and finished you without a second thought. Then I recall how Remilia easily crushed you like a bug. If you couldn't defeat them then, what makes you sure you can succeed this time. With those facts, the smartest thing to do is to give up. It's obvious that you were not up for this frivolous task, but for someone more deserving like Reimu Hakurei."

Marisa's eyes were shadowed as she clutched her broom.

"What do you know about me? Who gave you the right to say those awful things about me? I already know that I'm not that strong, I already know that I'm not like Reimu or Dan Kuso...But at least they are my friends...So tell me..."

Marisa glared angrily at Patchouli. "What the hell does some bookworm locked in a library know about me?!"

"...My my...Such temper. It seems that you won't listen to reason. You know that I can't let you leave here alive right? But I will give you credit though, if you got past that idiot Hong-Meiling, then you aren't some regular magician. However..."

Patchouli opened her book and the pages flipped by itself and a magical circle was hovering over the book.

"I won't go easy on a wannabe magician such as yourself."

Patchouli was levitating in the air as books starting flying out of their shelves. The books opened up and fired blue laser beams at Marisa.

'I guess I won't be stealing those books.'

With Dan

'I'm going to be honest here Drago, I didn't think I would fight her again.'

'If you had a nickel for every time you said that to an opponent you would have enough to buy a second mansion.' Drago joked.

'Drago don't be ridiculous...I would have enough to buy three mansions.' Dan thought.

'Regardless...This will be a dangerous fight for you Dan. I can tell from that she wants you dead.'

'No kidding. I beat her once and suddenly she's obsessed. It's Spectra and Heilos all over again. At least she doesn't have a stupid mask.'

"Dan Kuso! Last time we fought, you humiliated me, you shamed me! Most importantly, you made me disappoint my mistress! For that, you must die!" Sakuya declared as she points a knife at him.

"Before we fight, I need to know, is Flandre okay?" Dan asked.

"Why is that your concern?"

"Oh I don't know, maybe its because you people locked her in a basement for fucking 495 years!"

"It wasn't my decision, Remilia-sama understood how dangerous Flandre-sama was to everyone around her."

"If that's the case, why didn't Remilia train her to control herself instead of locking her in a basement like she was contagious!?"

"I don't understand, why do you care about Flandre-sama's well being?" Sakuya questioned.

"Because I do! Someone has to!" Dan declared.

"Now let me ask you a question? Don't you care about the many people that Remilia Scarlet hurt or killed in her sake for revenge?" Dan asked Sakuya who immediately scowled at her.

"How dare you question Remilia-sama's ambitions?!"

"But her plan is affecting innocent human lives. Your human too right?"

"Just because I was born a human doesn't mean I have to share my love with mankind. I despised these so called humans ever since I was born. Remilia-sama...She saved me from that hell that I was living in. She was a vampire but didn't care that I was human. She saw my magic as a gift and trained me to become head maid for this Scarlet Manor. And since then, everyone in the household is my real family. If it means slaughtering humans, then I do it under my mistress's name."

Sakuya spoke with determination.

'...I have to say, she's more complex than I gave her credit for. It's obvious that she had a rough past and despises humans. And it looks like Remilia never physically or verbally abused her...And she seems quite happy with her job...' Thought Dan

"I'll give you this Dan Kuso, I'm impressed that you made it this far. You even got past Hong-Meiling. She may be lazy, but she's a good guard. But I'm sure your aware by now that your going to die by my hands. As I walked down the stairs, I noticed you and the other two humans Remilia-sama warned me about. I could've killed all you three without any of you noticing. But I wanted my revenge against you, so I stopped time and dragged you here into this hallway. As for your friends, they're fate will be sealed by Patchouli Knowledge and even if they get past her, or me, Remilia will kill them without a glance. You three signed your deaths the moment you entered this Manor." Sakuya declared with confidence.

"Look Sakuya, this may come as a shock to you, but I dislike fighting. I see it as pointless violence that gets people killed. Believe I know it all too well. And if anything, I don't want to fight you. But if you plan on getting in my way, or try to kill Reimu and Marisa...That's where I draw the line." Dan stated in a serious tone.

Sakuya shook her head and smiled.

"You still don't get it do you? Your lives are forfeit. You are going to die here, by my hands! Time Stop!"

Time stopped for everything except for Sakuya.

She threw some knives at Dan and it stopped inches from him. And Sakuya turned around and crossed her arms with a victorial smirk.

"I don't know why Remilia-sama was worried about him. He was an overconfident fool. Cancel!"

Time was restored.

A squelching sound was heard. Sakuya laughed a little.

"Like I said earlier Dan Kuso, I upheld that promise that I-WHAT?!" Sakuya turned around and expected a dead Dan Kuso on the floor. What she didn't expect was a bubble surrounding Dan and the knives she threw at them were stuck to the bubble.

"I hate to burst your bubble Sakuya, but that attack didn't work." Dan said with a smug look on his face. The bubble popped and the knives fell to the floor.

Sakuya was understandably confused. "When did you set that up?!"

"The moment you took me to this hallway." Dan answered.

Sakuya growled at her failure.

"Timestop!"

Once again time froze.

This time Sakuya ran to Dan with a knife in her hand.

"Time for a direct approach!" Sakuya jumped and was about to stab the frozen Dan in the chest when...

"No you don't." Dan appeared normal as he moved quickly and grabbed Sakuya's leg. He spun her around until he lets go and she flew into a pillar, breaking it into two. Sakuya's back hit the wall and she slid down.

Sakuya quickly brought back up her feet and stared at Dan.

"Impossible...How the hell are you moving?! I can manipulate time!" She growled.

"Guess what bitch." Dan with a cheeky smile showed Sakuya his glowing red card. "I can do that too."

Marisa was flying on her broom as she avoided another laser beam.

"Of all the people I had to fight, it had to be a librarian!" Marisa stated with annoyance as she barrel rolled to avoid yet another laser beam.

On her tail, was Patchouli who despite her appearance, was quite fast!

"You can't beat me wannabe magician, just die with dignity. Metal and Water Sign Mercury Poison."

From her book, large yellow and light blue orbs shot out from her book.

"Did she just say Mercury Poison?!" Marisa once read about mercury poisoning. It caused many terrible symptoms such as tremors, motor dysfunction, and more importantly death. She knew if she was hit by even one of those orbs, she was finished.

Marisa swerved to the right as one of orbs nearly hit her. She had to swerve to the left as she avoided another laser beam.

"Damn it, I'm not as fast as Dan. I can't avoid all of them! Unless...Magic Space Astroid Belt!"

Large blue and red stars were shot out in large waves and clashed with the orbs. Destroying them both on contact.

Patchouli looked surprised.

"So that's your magic. I'll admit, it looks beautiful. But beauty isn't a substitute for strength. Fire & Earth Sign Lava Cromlech." Patchouli declared.

Marisa saw some books were flying to her.

"What's going on?" She heard some sizzling noises and her eyes widen as she flew to away from the books a few seconds before they combusted and a large explosion shook the library.

Marisa turned around and saw a part of her broom was on fire.

"Damn it not again!" Marisa exclaimed as she tried putting out the flame.

She turned around and saw more books flying at her.

"This is bad, I'm surrounded by books! How can I defend myself here."

Marisa then flew high in the air.

"I've got an idea. Love Storm Starlight Typhoon!"

Magic circles surrounded Marisa and shot colorful beams that hit the books and exploded on contact.

Marisa descended and flew to Patchouli. Obliterating books that were in her way.

"Hey Patchouli, let's see if you can patch this up! Love Sign Master Spark!"

Marisa fired her beam from her Mini-Hakerro.

Patchouli Knoweldge saw the beam coming to her and sighs out of annoyance.

"Metal Sign Silver Dragon".

From her book, a metal dragon's head appeared and roared. It then jumped out of her book and ran through the Marisa's beam.

"Oh shit." Marisa saw her attack literally being eaten as the dragon swallowed her attack and was approaching her.

Marisa canceled her attack and flew away from the dragon. Though the dragon did not like that and flew to eat her.

"Come on! I already had to deal with explosive books and now silver dragons?!"

A shadow loomed over and she saw the dragon descending and was about to pounce on her.

Marisa did another barrel roll just seconds before the dragon bit her. It lost its momentum and crashed to the ground.

"Ha ha! You missed!" Marisa teased.

The dragon shook its head and turned to Marisa and growled.

It flew to her, opening its mouth to take a bite.

Marisa grinned.

"You hungry? How about taking a dose of Loving Heart "Double Spark"!"

Her Mini-Hakkero danced with electricity before firing a much stronger beam.

The dragon of course swallowed the attack, but this time, it was getting bigger and more bloated. In other words, it was becoming a balloon. It kept growing until it reached the roof and exploded. Liquid trails fell to the ground.

Marisa smiled at her victory, but stopped when she saw Patchouli Knowledge. Though she raised an eyebrow when Marisa saw she was panting a little.

"Why do you continue?"

"Excuse me?"

"...It's only a matter of time before you eventually get hit by one of my attacks. You wasted a major amount of your magic to stop my dragon. And it wasn't not even one of my strongest spells. I can tell your tired. So I need to know, why do you continue knowing your eventually going to die." She stated.

Marisa grits her teeth in anger.

"I'm NOT going to die! I Marisa Kirisame will defeat you!" Marisa declared as she prepared another spell.

"Light Blast Shoot the Moon!"

Magic circles appeared over and under Patchouli.

"Wood Sign Green Storm."

Lots and lots of leaves appeared from her book as they surrounded her and formed a barrier as the magic circles fired lasers at her. But each attack hit the leaves protecting her until there were no more attacks. The leave barrier dispersed.

Patchouli saw that Marisa has disappeared.

"Looks like she's hiding no matter I'll-HNGH!"

Patchouli suddenly dropped the floor and she started coughing. She then covered her mouth as she continued to cough.

When she stopped, she saw some blood on her palm.

"Damn it. My Anemia is acting up now? That wannabe magician is annoying, but she's no slouch. I need to kill her now." Patchouli said desperate.

Meanwhile Marisa wasn't flying anymore and was hiding behind a book shelf.

"How am I going to defeat her? As much as I hate to admit it, her magic is stronger than mine." Doubt was starting to fill her mind.

"Maybe...Maybe she was right about me...Maybe I really am a wannabe magician."

"Don't say that!"

Marisa quickly turned and saw a girl with red hair and bat wings on her hair and her back.

"Umm...Who are you?"

"I'm Koakuma! I'm Patchouli Knowledge's assistant." She saw Marisa tense.

"Relax, I don't want to fight you. But rather ask for your help."

"My help?"

"Yes, I want you to defeat my boss Patchouli!" Koakuma declared.

"T-That's what I'm trying to do! But now..." Marisa looked downcast. "I'm not even sure that's possible."

"She's wrong about your magic!"

"Huh?"

"Your magic is just as strong as hers if not stronger."

"But she's a natural magician. Meanwhile I'm a human magician. And its not just her, there are tons of people who are stronger than me. I couldn't even beat that damn ice fairy, what chance do I have against Patchouli?"

"Patchouli may be gifted with magic, and she is indeed strong and intelligent, but she has one weakness. Her Anemia."

Marisa stared at Koakuma. "Anemia? As in a lack of red blood cells in a body that causes fatigue?"

Koakuma nods. "Exactly! Have you noticed how tired Patchouli looked through each spell?"

Marisa then remembered how she was catching her breath after that iron dragon spell.

"The more spells she casts, the more tired she becomes!" Marisa stated.

"Good! You know her weakness. But she won't make it easy for you."

"I don't get it. Why are you helping me? Don't you like your boss?"

"Don't misunderstand. I'm super grateful to Patchouli for giving me this job as her assistant even if some of her tasks are abysmal. But I want Patchouli to be happy."

"What do you mean?"

"Patchouli has spent most of her life locked in this library with her condition. She refuses to leave this library. There are other rooms in this manor and yet she choses to remain here, alone. I know she can do so much more outside her library. That's why I want you to beat her. To get her to understand that the only way she can improve is to leave this library."

"...YOU GOT IT! MARISA KIRISAME IS ON IT!"

Marisa jumped onto her broom and flew off.

"HEY PATCHOULI KNOWLEDGE!"

The librarian turned to Marisa who was smiling like a fool.

"I'M GOING TO DEFEAT YOU RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!" Marisa declared with a smile.

"Still clinging to that idiotic hope that you can beat me. It will be nice to wipe off that smile of your face once your dead."

"Let's see if you can keep up!"

Marisa turned and cast another spell

"Comet Blazing Star!"

Marisa then flew away from Patchouli in top speed.

Patchouli flew after her.

Marisa turned around and saw Patchouli chasing her.

"For a natural magician, your slow!" Marisa mocked.

"For a wannabe magician, your dense! Earth & Metal Sign Emerald Megalith!"

From out her book, small but sharp green jewels flew towards Marisa.

"Hah! It's that suppose to scare me?!" Marisa balked with a smile.

"No, they are!" Patchouli corrected.

Marisa turned around and saw huge green emeralds sprouting from books.

"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" Marisa yelled.

Marisa had to swerve, ascend, and descend in order to avoid those big emeralds. While avoid the small green gems.

The human magician saw some books, laid on the ground. Large pillars of emerald sprouted from them. Making Marisa stop in place.

"Damn it! I'll have a fix for this. Love Mas-AGH!"

Several shards hit Marisa in the back, piercing her backside.

She felt her body freeze in place as she fell of her broom and land on the ground with her broom. She was still holding her Mini-Hakerro.

Patchouli slowly floats down and saw Marisa's fallen form.

"Looks like the butterfly has finally been snared in my web. How poetic for-HHHNGH!" Patchouli drops the ground and coughs so more. But quickly picks herself up.

"I'll admit, you were more of a challenge then I originally thought." Patchouli slowly walks to Marisa.

"But as I stated in the beginning, you had no chance of beating me. You were only delaying your death."

Patchouli reached Marisa and was readying a spell.

"If it makes you feel better, I'll have my assistant write a book about you. It'll be about the foolish wannabe magician who tried to challenge a natural magician. Goodbye Marisa Kirisame."

Marisa's eyes were shadowed.

'Is this it?...Am I really going to die?...In a library of all places...I guess I am...What really sucks is that there's no one to save me this time...I've let humanity down...I've let my family down...Most importantly...I let Reimu and Dan down...I really am pathetic...'

A memory was playing in her mind.

"Oh Marisa you goob. Being strong isn't all about any of what you're thinking about."

"Then...What is it about?"

"Sorry, I can't tell you that. You're going to have to figure that out yourself. But what I can tell you is that your actually much stronger than you realize."

'...Of course...How did I not realize this earlier!'

Patchouli was shocked when she saw Marisa Kirisame slowly pushing herself up!

"Your still not giving up? You really are a-"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Marisa sent a deadly glare to Patchouli, who noticed Marisa's strange behavior.

'Her eyes...They're completely different from what they were before.' Patchouli could tell that Marisa was leaking determination and reserve.

Marisa quickly ran to Patchouli.

"Fire Si-"

Marisa quickly slide and kicked Patchouli's book into the air. Patchouli was speechless. Marisa then grabbed Patchouli by her arm.

'What the hell is she doing now?' Thought Patchouli

Marisa turned her body around pulled Patchouli with so hard that the witch was pulled into the air and Marisa threw her into the ground hard. The attack left Patchouli dazed.

Marisa pulled her Mini-Hakkero and moved it close to Patchouli.

"Game over. Loving Heart Double Spark!"

A bright light illuminated the library.

The smoke revealed a shaken, and terrified Patchouli looking at Marisa. Next to her, was a semi large hole made from Marisa's attack.

"...You missed." Patchouli said softly.

Marisa looks at her for a minute, then smiles.

"Well duh, I didn't want to kill you."

Patchouli for the first time in a while, was stunned.

"I don't get it...I tried to kill you, I made it clear that I wanted to end your life! By that logic, you should've let that attack hit me in order to kill me!" Patchouli argued.

"That's true. You are my enemy and you stood in my way of saving Genosokyo." Marisa stated with a neutral tone.

"Exactly! So why would you even think of sparing an enemy such as myself!?" Patchouli demanded.

"...I finally figured it out."

"Figured out what?"

"What it means to be strong At first, I always thought it was having more magical power, being faster, stronger. But after fighting you, I realized its not about any of that."

Marisa smiled at Patchouli. "It's about doing everything you can to protect those you care about. You are an amazing magician. It's such a shame that your Amenia is hindering you so."

Patchouli gasps. "How did..."

"Your assistant told me. That's the only reason why I beat you. I exploited your weakness based on your physical capabilities. Which is why I didn't hit you with that beam. Because it wouldn't have been fair to you."

"Fair to me?...FAIR TO ME?!" Despite the pain Patchouli lifted herself up and glared at Marisa.

"Who the hell are you to make fun of my weakness!? I am more of a magician then you'll ever be!"

"Your right."

"...What?"

Marisa wasn't smiling and stared at Patchouli. "From the beginning, you had every advantage against me. And yet you still lost. And its not because of your Anemia, its because you refused to improve yourself."

"..."

"I'm weak. I know I am. I can't catch up to Reimu or even Dan Kuso. I recognize the gap between myself and them. But despite that, I'm willing to work hard to get become a stronger magician not for myself, but to protect my friends."

She then points to Patchouli. "And yet you, the experienced magician mocked me for my weaknesses when you yourself had a major one to begin with. And you'd been alive a lot longer than me. Why haven't you figured out a way to to treat your Anemia or get rid of it!"

Once again Patchouli gasped. "I...Well...That's because..."

Marisa started walking past Patchouli who was pondering her thoughts.

"I'm going to stop Remilia Scarlet with my friends. And were going to do it cause we're not afraid!"

Marisa reached the exit.

"Wait!"

She turned to Patchouli who walked to her.

"If your going to fight, at least let me heal you up first."

Patchouli's hand glowed as her book came back to her. She opened the page and the book started glowing.

Marisa was surrounded by a green barrier. The gems lodged in her back disappeared and her wounds were closing up.

The green barrier disappeared.

"Wow! I feel great!" Marisa exclaimed.

"Marisa Kirisame, I have been here for a long time. I have read every book possible and have gained knowledge over the years. But this is the first time I've learned something that didn't come from a book. It really shows that I have much to learn."

Patchouli smiles at Marisa. "For that, I thank you."

Marisa blushed at the compliment. "Ah shucks. Well that what happens when people fight me."

"Before you leave, take this." Patchouli hands Marisa a key.

"Your familiar with Flandre Scarlet correct?"

Marisa lost her smile. "...Yeah."

"After she broke out of the basement the first time. I had to use water magic to make sure that she wouldn't escape again. This key will open the lock."

"...And your giving this to me because?..."

"Truth be told, I never wanted the poor girl to be locked up. But Flandre is a danger to everyone around her, including herself. You can choose to ignore her if you want and keep her locked up. But if you decide to free her...Just be prepared for hell."

Marisa stares at the key. "...Thank you."

Marisa turns around and runs to the exit.

Koakamu flew to her boss.

Patchouli turned to her assistant.

"You told her about my Anemia didn't you?"

"Yes...Are you mad?"

"No, even if you didn't tell her, she would've most likely figured it out throughout our battle. That wannabe magician, definitely has potential, for a human."

"What are you going to do know Patchouli?" Koakamu asked her boss.

"...I've decided, that I'm going to leave this library and help the wannabe magician and her friends." Patchouli declared.

"Impossible!...Utterly impossible!" Sakuya spat.

"Look if your mad that I can stop time too, I'll let you know that I can only stop time." Dan said.

"Bastard! You think you can shame my pride even further!?" Sakuya exclaimed.

"What pride?" Dan deadpanned.

"RAAAHHHHHH!"

Sakuya jumped back and pull some knives.

"Strange Art Illusion Misdirection!"

Sakuya teleported and appeared behind Dan and threw some knives. Dan flipped into the air to avoid them.

Sakuya then teleported and shot many red kunai.

Dan spun his body around, and the kunais ricochet off his body. Dan stopped spinning and landed on the floor.

Sakuya appeared again as she threw both knives and Kunais at Dan.

The former brawler just ran and jumped to the wall and bounced off of it to land a kick, but Sakuya just teleported at the last second.

"Kunai? I was under the impression you used knives."

Sakuya appeared in front of them. "I do. I just like using sharp small weapons like these. The easiest way to kill intruders who enter my mistress's house."

"I have a question. What happens to intruders who come here?"

"Intruders who come here all the time are humans. If they fail to get past Hong-Meiling, they are eaten by her. But for those who do get past her. They are either killed off by fairies, Patchouli, and me, even Remilia-sama before she was cursed by that Devil Contract."

"I'm scared to ask this, but what do you do with the human bodies."

"Simple. I serve them up as pastries for both Remilia-sama and Flandre-sama. Though on rare occasions I sometimes sample the pastries by-"

"NOPE! YOU DON'T HAVE TO FINISH THAT SENTENCE!" Dan didn't want to picture cannibalism.

"No matter. It's only a matter of time before you die by my hands. And your friends are finished off."

'Speaking of which, I wonder how the girls are doing by themselves.'

With Reimu.

"Look, if this is about the times I called you old hag, just know I say with respect because of how old you are." Reimu said.

"Oh silly Reimu. It isn't about that. This is all about you."

"Me?"

"Yes. You see, I feared that one day you would grow to become a force to be reckoned with. And once you did, you would use this chance to kill me." Yukari explained.

"I mean...That is a fair assumption to make. I am pretty-WAIT A SEC! If that was the case. You could've had me killed before I even set foot in Remilia Scarlet's manor.

"Oh, you know very well that I don't care about little details." Yukari smiled.

"And I also know that the real Yukari Yukamo is an intelligent woman hiding behind that lazy demeanor. If I was really a threat as you put it. You would have no choice but to put me down without hesitation."

Reimu points to her. "So whoever the hell you are, drop that fake disguise. I have no time to play with fakers." Reimu ordered.

"Heheheh...So you really think I'm not the real Yukari Yakumo? Where's your proof."

"This!" Reimu dashed in front of Yukari and threw some seals at her, which tagged her body.

Reimu then backflipped away from Yukari and put her hands together.

"Hah! You think these low level seals will-AGH!" Yukari cried out in pain as electricity surged through her body.

Reimu looked at Yukari and smirked.

"Just as I thought. The real Yukari Yukamo wouldn't had so much trouble with those low level seals. Like I said, drop the disguise faker!"

"You...You...YOU FUCKING BITCH!"

Yukari's face was literally melting! What was under her face spooked Reimu.

It was a white mask with a P on top of the mask. She had green eyes with no pupils. And she had no mouth either.

"You know...I wanted to give you a quick death...But now...Now I'm going to make you suffer!" Her voice was deep and animalistic.

The faker floated up in the air.

"Boundary Course of Dreams and Reality!"

Two big orbs were launched at Reimu and she avoided them. But they went off, one shot many green arrow bullets and the other shot light blue bullets.

"Impossible, those are the old hag's spells. How do you know Yukari Yakumo's spells?!" Reimu stated in shock.

"I AM YUKARI YAKUMO!" The faker cried out.

She shot out more orbs which exploded into bullets. Which made Reimu float into the air.

'Whoever she is...I don't even know why she has Yukari's spells. But I do know she is weak to faith attacks. I just need to keep hitting her with all I got.'

"Boundary Mesh of Light and Darkness!"

Lines of red and blue were shot at Reimu

She quickly dodged and swerved through each beam.

"Scattered Spirit Fantasy Seal Fader!"

Reimu summoned many red and white seals along with many red orbs.

Reimu's attack abosrbed the beams and they were heading to the fake Yukari.

"You think those attacks can actually hurt me! I'll!-GGAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The fake Yukari was bombarde by those attacks.

A huge smoke was seen.

"I had to have damaged her." Said Reimu.

The smoke cleared and the fake Yukari was heavily damaged. Her clothes were scorched. Some of her skin was seen. But her mask had some cracks on it. Though what was disturbing was blood leaking through the cracks.

The faker's body was spinning not before she fell to the ground.

Reimu walked towards her.

"I want answers. Who are you? What's your goal? And why do you know Yukari Yakumo's spells."

The fake Yukari looked up to Reimu who had a few seals in her hand.

"ANSWER ME NOW FAKER!" Reimu demanded.

"How dare you...How dare you...HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The faker's mask started glowing purple and there were cracks forming under her mask until it broke and showed sharp and long teeth with a bizarre tongue. Also her screaming was so loud that it shook the void they were in.

The fake Yukari opened her portal and fell down. She then appeared in the air.

"I'M DONE PLAYING GAMES WITH YOU HUMAN!"

Reimu was stunned to see the fake Yukari growing. She was turning into a giant but that wasn't the only changes. Her hair was turning purple. Her nails elongated and became light purple. Her dress was torn to shreds, but there was another set of clothes. A long dark purple dress that covered her whole body, even her toes.

"So you really are a monster." Reimu said as she stared at the giant.

"Monster? No you foolish human. I'm a Bakugan! My name is Pseudo!"

'So this is what a Bakugan looks like? But Dan said he was one too, but he's not as big as giant. Then again, he did say he was part Bakugan.' Thought Reimu.

"My master created me and ordered me to kill you! I thought it would've been easy, but you proved to me a much bigger pain than I thought. But no longer!"

Pseudo snapped her hand and Reimu fell under a portal, she then appeared in the air and fell. Pseudo quickly snatched her in her hands.

"I'm going to enjoy this!" With a dark smile, Pseudo started crushing Reimu in her hands.

"AGGHHHHH!" Reimu cried out in pain as she felt her bones being crushed.

"Yes, there it is! There's that wonderful sound human! Keep screaming! Keep doing that until I crushed the life out of you!"

Pseudo continued to crush Reimu as the Shrine Maiden could do nothing but cry out in pain.

'My vision...I'm losing consciousness...It looks like I'm going to die...I'm sorry Mother, I couldn't be the Shrine Maiden you wanted me to be...I'm sorry Marisa, the only friend I ever had, guess I'm leaving you alone...And I'm sorry Dan Kuso, for not getting to know you better...I really wanted to know more about you...Even becoming your-Wait...Is that coming from me?'

Reimu saw something glowing inside her.

It shot out her body as a purple glowing card latched onto Pseudo's mask.

"Huh? Since when did a human get a field card? Why-AAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The card combusted into purple flames that immediately consumed her mask.

Pseudo dropped Reimu who fell to the ground, groaning but she was still alive. She slowly picked herself up despite the great pain she was in.

She looked up to see Pseudo screamed bloody murder as she was in extreme pain.

"Time to end this. Border World Hakurei Darmaku Field!" Reimu slammed her hand into the ground.

A square barrier surrounded Pseudo.

Thousands of red and white bullets and orbs were created and shot to Pseudo, who was still trying to put out the fire on her mask.

Her eyes widen when she sees that she's not only trapped in a barrier, but is about to be hit by a large attack.

"No...No...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!AAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!MMMAAAASSSSSSTTTTEEEERRRRRRR! HEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Pseudo was hit by Reimu's large attack. Her body was reduced to ashes, leaving only her cracked mask on the ground. Though it also turned to ashes.

Reimu's barrier was gone. Reimu pants in exhaustion.

"Damn it. As much as I'm glad I killed her, I failed to get her motive and objection."

Reimu heard slow clapping. She turned around to see who it was.

"Old hag? I'm glad your here I...Wait, your not her."

The individual was about the same height as Yukari Yakumo. They had the same face, even the long hair. That's where the similarities end. The individual wore a magician's hat. He wore a black business suit with a white undershirt. Wore white gloves, black pants and black shoes.

"Bravo Reimu Hakurei! Bravo! To think a Shrine Maiden such as yourself could kill a Bakugan effortlessly. Marvelous!" The stranger complimented.

"...Don't tell me, your Pseudo's master."

The stranger laughed. "There's no point fooling you. Yep, name's Magician! I'm her master and creator."

"Then shouldn't you be upset that I killed your creation?"

"Why the hell should I care about some useless trash that couldn't even defeat a human being." He stated coldly with a smile. Those words clearly disgusted Reimu.

"But you created her. She was even crying out your name moments before her death! Didn't you care?"

"Of course I cared...Until she died that is. Goes to show that not all my creations are up to my standards. But there was something odd I found about the show."

Without blinking, the stranger placed his hand on Reimu's chest.

"That card was placed in your body without your knowledge. It seems Dan Kuso was more worried about you than I thought...Interesting."

'So Dan...Protected me?' Thought Reimu, though she shook those thoughts and jumped away from the stranger.

"Who the hell are you?! Why do you look like Yukari Yakumo?!"

"Sorry, a magician never reveal his secrets. Besides, I like to leave the audience with suspense...But you should know..."

The stranger gestured both his hands to his face and flashed a crazed smile.

"I'm Yukari Yakumo's greatest failure!" He pronounced with glee.

"..."

"Ah! I left you speechless right? I tend to do that a lot. Don't worry, you'll see me again during the final act! To dah loo!"

A portal opened behind him.

"NOT SO FAST!" Reimu rushed to him, but he immediately exited the void.

Speaking of which, everything around began to crack until it shattered like glass. Revealing she was in the main manor.

"Have I been here...This whole time?" Reimu started sweating in shock. "Whoever he is...Knows the old hag...I don't know why...But I feel like he's a dangerous enemy..."

Reimu shook her head. "For know, stopping Remilia Scarlet is high priority."

With Dan

Dan was doing a ton of backflips as he was dodging knives from Sakuya.

"Stop dodging and die already!" Sakuya yelled out as she tossed some more knives.

Dan stopped backflipping as he dashed to Sakuya while avoiding knives. Dan skits to a halt as he throws a right hook. Only for Sakuya to disappear and a cut formed on his back.

What actually happened was that Sakuya slowed down time and walked behind Dan while cutting his back.

Dan frowns as he felt the cut.

"What? How were you able to cut me?"

"Your talking about your scales correct? While normal knives wouldn't even make a dent, my knives are so sharp that they can even cut steel itself."

"Great..." Dan stated with annoyance.

"Illusion Ghost Jack the Ludo Bile!"

Dan blinked and saw dozens of knives appear in front of him in the air.

The knives descended to him. Just before they hit him, Dan disappears and the knives hit the ground.

Sakuya was speechless on how he could of dodged. Suddenly she backflipped as a lightning bolt hit her where she stood.

The smoke revealed Dan except his hands and feet are dragon claws and his eyes were leaking electricity. Same with his claws.

"Time to fight speed with speed." Dan said excited.

Sakuya once again made dozens of knives appear in front of Dan.

The former brawler instantly blitzed through them. Sakuya's eyes widen shock as Dan approached her. She teleported as the last second as he was about to pounce on her.

'His speed has increased tenfold. No matter.' Sakuya clapped her hands and time slowed.

"As long as I have better time manipulation than him, I'll-AGH!" Sakuya was then kicked in the chin, sending her high in the air.

Dan blitzed her as multiple lightning bolts struck her before he slammed down on her. Dan jumped off of her and turned to the fallen Head Maiden.

"Just because you slowed down time doesn't mean you slowed down my speed."

Sakuya teleported behind Dan, a look of rage was clear on her face.

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Sakuya held a knife to jab Dan from behind. Dan without looking quickly caught it with his right hand. Dan turned around and looked at the speechless Sakuya.

"Now that wasn't very nice." Dan said with a condescending voice. He raised his foot and slammed it against Sakuya's stomach, sending her flying, not before falling to the ground while skidding a few miles.

"Better finish her off before she does something else." Dan rushed to Sakuya.

The head maiden got up and held her stomach.

She couldn't believe it! Sakuya Izayoi was being made a fool again! All because of him.

She saw Dan rushing towards her. Sakuya's eyes glowed red once again.

"No more games. Illusion World The World!"

Knives appeared in front of Dan once again.

"Is that suppose to scare me?!"

Sakuya then teleported behind Dan.

"No, but they are."

Dan blinked and saw more knives appeared not only in front of him, but from behind him, and to his left and right. It was like he was in a ball, except the ball were knives, and he was in the center.

Sakuya smiles darkly.

"Die."

The knives were approaching him.

Dan was quickly dodging them using his fast reflexes, unfortunately he was knicked by a knife or two every few seconds.

'Damn it, how would Shun do this?!'

He kept dodging until there were no more knives thrown a hit. But Dan had many cuts on him. And his haori was torn.

"Fuck!"

Sakuya appeared in front of him.

"What's the matter? Are you finally seeing the difference between you and me?"

"No! You managed to destroy my favorite/slash only haori." Dan took off his ruined haori, revealing his sleeveless shihakusho. Showing off his muscular arms.

Dan then jumped away from Sakuya as he crouches down in a position of a feral dragon.

"I don't know what the hell your doing, but that's not going to-"

A loud thunder could be heard as the next thing Sakuya knew, she was spinning in the air as she slammed into the roof, before falling to the ground.

'What the hell?! I just saw him?! How did he-"

Thunder could be heard again and Sakuya saw Dan move, but she didn't see his body. Once again was thrown in the air and fell to the ground in pain.

'Impossible! How is he moving so fast that my vision can't keep up with him!?' This was becoming a difficult fight.

"Silver Sign Silver Bound!" A sphere of knives surrounded Sakuya. Thunder was heard again.

'Let's see you try to get past me-' Her knives were knocked away as Sakuya was hit once again this time she went through another pillar and hit a wall so hard that it caused some spider cracks.

Sakuya holds her left arm as she slowly get up and glares at Dan.

"You know what Dan Kuso, let this be a battle about speed. Speed Sign Luminous Ricochet!"

A purple aura surrounded Sakuya. The sound of thunder was heard again and Sakuya smirked. She and Dan disappeared.

Clashes could be heard through the hallway as Sakuya and Dan were clashing with knives and claws at high speed. They were bouncing off the pillar, walls, windows, even the roof. They were moving so fast that the human eye couldn't comprehend.

"Lightspeed C. Ricochet!"

Sakuya threw 3 knives coated with pink aura that moved more faster than usual. They were ricocheting through the hallway. The first knife crashed through a window.

Both Dan and Sakuya skits to a halt. Both jump and slammed into each other.

Dan starting clawing Sakuya, the latter was blocking each strike with her knives. Sakuya then backflipped as one of her knives hit her place and bounced off the floor and hit Dan in the abdomen but it didn't stop there, it went through him and lodged through the rough.

"Gah!" Dan screamed as he clutched his wound. Sakuya smiled as she saw one of her last knives was about to hit his neck. Dan at the last second moved his head and caught the knife with his right hand. He then threw it at Sakuya. Sakuya was stunned for a moment and was hit by her own knife by her left thigh.

"AGH!" Sakuya cried out as she quickly pulled out her knife lodged in her thigh. Blood seeped her leg.

Sakuya sent a death glare to Dan who smiled. "Let's end this."

Sakuya growls but nods in agreement.

"Maid Secret Skill Killing Doll!" A dozen of knives spammed in the air like a pinwheel.

Dan used his speed to make his way through those knives. Suddenly more knives appeared like random.

Dan jumped in the air and stood on the ceiling. He saw an opening and jumped to Sakuya.

The head maiden saw Dan and tried to dodge, but because of the wound she suffered, she faltered and was slow to dodge.

"THIS IS IT!"

Dan was in a few inches close to Sakuya. He then saw Sakuya smile.

"Your right. Time Sign Sakuya's Special Stopwatch!"

Sakuya pulled out a watch and pressed the button. A clockface engulfed Dan, making the former brawler frozen in time.

Sakuya grinned like a madwoman. And slowly walked to Dan.

"Now you die...Scarred Soul Soul Sculpture!"

Sakuya used her knives to slash Dan multiple times.

She then turns around and crosses her arms.

"Cancel."

Blood was splattered on the floor.

Dan fell to the ground more wounded than ever. He had larger cuts all over his body compared to earlier.

Sakuya turned around and looked down on Dan.

"You should've killed me earlier. If you had, you would've been killed by my hands. But I will compliment you for your skills. I've never been backed into a corner in a long time. Be honored that you'll die with dignity. And be served as a dinner platter for my mistress. She never had tried dragon before...Any last words?"

Sakuya raised her knife.

"Just three...Got ya bitch."

Sakuya looked down and saw the ground glow orange. Her feet was being consumed by diamonds.

"WHAT?!" Sakuya didn't know how he got the drop on her. But she had to end his life now.

Sakuya raised her arm to strike Dan down only to feel something pulling her arm. She looked up and saw a purple string holding her arm. She tried to move her other arm, but it was held by purple string too. She looked down on herself and now noticed multiple strings were clutching to her!

Dan slowly got up and smiled.

"So you finally noticed huh?"

Sakuya could only turn and glare at Dan with all the hate she mustered.

"Your probably wondering how I was able to trap ya? When we fighting in high speeds, I managed to place cards all over the hallway."

Dan snapped his fingers and many cards were seen in the hallway glowing purple.

"My real goal was to catch you cause I knew fighting you with brute force wouldn't have worked."

Sakuya looked down and saw the diamonds reaching her thigh. Sakuya while struggling managed to catch her knife with her teeth and cut one of the strings holding her hand.

"You fool. I can just speed up time and cause these diamonds to age up and they'll turn to dust."

Sakuya placed a hand on the diamonds and did her spell...Only for nothing to happen.

"WHAT?!"

Dan shook his head in amusement.

"Oh you poor fool. Didn't you learn anything in geology class? Diamonds don't age. Even if you age them to a billion years, they still won't break.

Sakuya couldn't process this...She couldn't believe this...The diamonds were consuming her body.

"This can't be...How could I, Sakuya Izayoi lose to the likes of you!?"

"Put it on a T-Shirt, I heard that shtick a thousand times already."

The diamonds were reaching her neck. Sakuya was helpless.

'It looks like this is really the end of me...I'm sorry I failed you Reimilia-sama.' Sakuya had tears in her eyes as she accepted her fate.

Her entire body became a diamond.

Time was restored to normal.

Dan walked over to the diamonized Sakuya.

"Dan...She tried to kill you." Drago voiced his concern.

"I know...But I can't leave her like this...She deserves better."

Dan placed a hand on her head.

"Cancel."

And the diamonds shatter, breaking Sakuya free.

Sakuya looked to see her savior...Was the one who put her in the first place.

Normally, Sakuya wouldn't have wasted time and killed her opponent. But...She couldn't help but feel confused that the very same who she tried to kill, freed her.

Sakuya just dropped her knives to the floor.

"...Why?...Why did you free me? You could've moved on. Or even shattered me in that prison. Instead...You saved me."

Sakuya's voice no longer held anger or fury, rather a soft calm voice.

Dan just smiled at her. "Because, it wasn't right."

"What?"

"I get you wanted to kill me, but I can tell that your not a bad person despite the whole, turning intruders into food thing."

"...That's your reason for sparing my life?"

"If I may ask, what brought you here in the first place? Why do you admire Remilia Scarlet so much?"

"Why the hell should I indulge an intruder's-" Sakuya stopped herself. She recalled all the times intruders came into the Scarlet Manor. Every life she slain inside these halls...She could never forgot the stares those humans cast on her. Regret, shame, fear, but most of the time, it was anger. Anger that a human like herself would work for a vampire. But Dan Kuso, he was different not because he was strong. When she looked into his eyes, all she could feel is...Concern, sympathy, and worry for her of all people!

"Very well, be grateful Dan Kuso. Your the first intruder ever in this Scarlet Manor to know about my upbringing."

'Tragic backstory incoming.' Thought Dan.

"You see Dan Kuso, I was born in a village that detests magic. The humans hated vampires, werewolves, fairies, any supernatural creatures. I didn't know my biological parents. Either they abandoned me or they died. I really didn't care. I grew up in an orphanage, which also detested magic. But due to some horrible fate, I was born with magic that could manipulate time. It wasn't strong as it is now. But I had very little control over it. I did things like stop clocks, reversed plants from blooming, even aged animals by accident. I was already despised as a kid, but having magic made an outcast even more. Then one day, things changed.

Flashback

A younger Sakuya was pushed into the ground.

In front of her was a grown man holding a whip.

"What did I tell you about using your damn magic you freak?!"

"I-I'm sor-AGH!" Sakuya yelped out in pain as the whip slapped her face.

"SHUT UP! BECAUSE OF YOU MY KID'S FROZEN! HE CAN'T MOVE AT ALL! AND ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!"

"P-Please...I didn't mean-AGH!" Sakuya was slapped again with the whip.

"Of course you meant it freak! Things like that don't happen by accident! You damn freak!"

CRACK

"YOUR NOT A HUAMN BEING!"

CRACK

"YOUR A DEVIL!"

CRACK

"YOU WOULD BE BETTER OF DEAD!"

CRACK

CRACK

CRACK

Sakuya was in tears by this abuse. It was like this everyday. People hated her simply for existing. And got even worse because of her magic. She didn't see what was wrong with it.

Sakuya saw other adults walking around. But they weren't doing anything! They were just watching! Some were even smiling! Her eyes glowed red.

CRACK

"THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE NO FAMILY! THEY PROBABLY LEFT YOU BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T TELL WITH HAVING A FREAK!"

Sakuya then caught the whip in her hand.

The adult looked surprised.

Sakuya raised her arm.

"GO AWAY!" The sound of an eraser was heard.

And just like that, the man disappeared without a trace. Leaving the whip the ground.

Everyone was surprised by this, including Sakuya. All she wanted to was for the man to leave her, not get rid of him completely.

"THAT CHILD KILLED HIM!"

"MONSTER!"

"FREAK!"

"SHE DOESN'T DESERVE TO LIVE!"

Sakuya turned around and saw the adults running up to her, ready to hurt her or worse.

Sakuya knew what was going to happen and tried to run, only for a blunt object to hit her, on the head, knocking her out.

A person with a pipe looked down on the girl.

"Let's tie her up!"

Later...

Sakuya woke up and say she was tied to a pole. Everyone in the village held torches and pitchforks.

"THAT LITTLE WITCH IS GOING TO HELL FOR WHAT SHE DID!"

"THIS VILLAGE DOESN'T NEED FREAKS LIKE HER!"

"MAGIC ISN'T ALLOWED IN THIS VILLAGE!"

"KILL HER!"

Sakuya heard the adults in the village say those awful things to her.

"BURN THE DEMON!"

"BURN THE DEMON!"

"BURN THE DEMON!"

"BURN THE DEMON!"

One village ran to the pole and lite it on fire with his torch.

Sakuya had tears streaming down her face. She was going to die because she was different. She was going to die because of her magic. She was going to be killed by her own race for having an extraordinary power...She hated this...She hated feeling like a monster...No, what she hated were these so called 'humans'. Who the hell gave them right to do this to her. She never meant those accidents. She was just trying to be different! But now she was going to die because of it. It wasn't fair...None of this was fair.

"How about this? A village of worthless humans killing a little girl over magic. How utterly pathetic."

Everyone turned to a person with blue hair and a pink dress.

"Just know that I don't feel bad for doing this." She released her bat wings. All the villagers minus Sakuya were terrified.

"VAMPIRE!"

"WHAT'S A VAMPIRE DOING HERE!"

"KILL HER! KILL THE VAMPIRE!"

What Sakuya saw next was total carnage.

Blood flew in the air as the vampire tore through the humans as if they were tissue paper. One human tried to ram her with a pitchfork she turned around and just cast her gaze. The human then held his pitchfork and plunged it into himself.

This was wrong, this was nothing but horrible. And yet...She couldn't help but smile...Smile as the woman killed those who abused her. It was as if the scene of horror brought joy to her the first time in her life.

The vampire turned and flew to Sakuya. She undid her ropes and brought her down.

"Y-You saved me. Why did you save me?"

"What type of ridiculous question is that? I saved you because you deserved to be saved. You deserve better than this damn village. Every filthy human here deserves to die for what they did to you. People may call me a monster, but what these humans did to you, is beyond human."

She knelt down to her.

"What's your name?"

"I...Don't have name."

The vampire gave her a warm smile as he gently pats her head.

"Let's change that. From this day on, your name will be...Sakuya Izayoi. My name is Remilia Scarlet, and you will be a wonderful addition to my Scarlet Manor with your wonderful magic.

"Thank you...Remilia-sama." Sakuya said with a warm smile.

"What's with the mannerism?"

"I've read that you have to be polite and respectful to those who are older or have ranking."

"Good girl." Remilia pats her head.

Both heard someone groaning and turn to a man who was on the floor, bleeding heavily.

"Looks like I missed a bug."

She turned to Sakuya and brought out a knife from her dress.

"Kill that bug for me Sakuya."

Sakuya couldn't help but smile. "As you wish Remilia-sama."

Sakuya walked to one of her abusers with a knife held in her hand.

The man saw Sakuya holding a weapon. He knew he couldn't get up thanks to his wounds.

"P-Please...Don't kill me!...I have a wife and kids!..." He pleaded.

"Don't worry, Remilia-sama will make sure they go where your going...To hell!"

Sakuya plunged her knife into the man's skull killing him. She then pulled out and thrust the weapon into his skull again, and again, and again. With a full grin on her face.

Sakuya stopped as she stared into her blood covered knife.

Morning came, and the entire village was empty of life. There were corpses everywhere. No one was spared by Remilia.

Remilia and Sakuya walked by each other. Remilia was holding an umbrella.

"Remilia-sama, thank you for freeing me from this hell."

"Your welcome sweetie. We'll be heading out soon and you'll meet your new family."

Sakuya Izayoi for the first time in her life, was happy to exist.

Flashback End

"And that's why I owe Remilia-sama so much. I would be dead if it wasn't for her."

"..." Dan remained silent.

"Which is why I have no remorse for humans. I don't care if the Mist affects them. My family has and always been Remilia-sama."

Sakuya glared at Dan. "And if anyone is willing to hurt Remilia-sama, I'll kill them without hestitation."

"..."

Dan turned around and walked away from Sakuya. Confusing the Head Maiden.

"Hey! Where do you think your going?!" Sakuya ran to Dan who stopped walking.

"We're not finished yet!"

Dan was in front of Sakuya and placed a hand over her head, glowing purple.

"Sleep."

Sakuya's eyes grew tired and she fell backwards to the floor

"Was that really necessary?"

"She needs to reflect on her actions. I still don't believe she's evil, but she's not good either. Hopefully she's sees the truth."

"And if she doesn't and she comes back to kill you again?"

"I'll have to end her life."

Dan pulled out his pipe and smoked. He blew out smoke and walked

"We need to end this."

With Marisa

Marisa found a door. What was interesting about the door was that the handle was covered in water.

Marisa looked at the key and nods.

She placed the key into the keyhold and turned it. The water fell to the floor and Marisa opened the door. Marisa walked downstairs to a fancy basement.

There was a bedroom, closet, even some toys.

"Ah! So its you again."

Marisa looks up to see Flandre holding a teddy bear.

Marisa knew something was wrong. She was expecting her to be excited, cheerful, or even have a crazed expression. Instead she had a expressionless face.

"H-Hey Flandre! It's me Marisa. I opened the basement for you so-AH!" Marisa jumped to the left when a blast almost hit her.

She looked up to see Marisa charging another attack with her hand.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"

Flandre instantly appeared in front of Marisa. A beam attack ready.

Marisa quickly used her Mini-hakkero to fire a Master Spark while Flandre fired a beam attack. Both beams clashed and struggled until they both collided and exploded. Sending Flandre to her bed, while it sent Marisa rolling backwards until she hit a wall. Marisa got up and glared at Flandre.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! I KNEW YOU WERE CRAZY BEFORE, BUT THIS TAKES THE CAKE! WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING YOUR SAVIOR!?"

"Savior? Is that what you think you and that Shrine Maiden are?" Flandre got up from her bed and slowly walked to Marisa.

"Because of you two...My sister really got angry at me...She blamed me for what happened yesterday and...And..."

She stopped walking as she gripped her teddy bear tightly.

"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULTS!" Flandre roars angrily and she tears her bear in half. Her aura was seen waving around herself.

Marisa backs up slowly while sweating.

"But don't worry, you two can make it up to me..."

"...By attending your tea party." Marisa knew it wasn't the right answer, but she wanted hope.

Flandre showed Marisa her creepy smile, reminiscing their first encounter.

"No...By DYING!"

Flandre shot another beam.

Marisa quickly got on her broom and flew out the basement before the attack hit.

"GET BACK HERE!" Flandre flapped her wings before she chased after Marisa by flight. Both of them exited the basement.

"HEY MARISA! SINCE YOU HAVE A WEAPON, ITS ONLY FAIR I HAVE ONE TO!"

Flandre summoned the weapons she used on Dan.

"Your the one who's trying to kill me! How is that fair?!" Marisa shot back.

"SHUT UP! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT FROM THE WEAKLING WHO COULDN'T EVEN GET PAST MY FIRST SPELL!"

Then a thought occurred in Marisa's head. Last time she faced Flandre, she lost. But now, this was her chance of redeeming herself.

Marisa turned to her foe. "I'll have you know I defeated Patchouli Knowledge by myself! So I'm definitely stronger than I was before."
Marisa boasted.

"I don't know about that. Patchouli's Anemia was keeping her potential locked. Without it, she definitely would've killed you." Flandre explained.

"Well I-"

"And then there's Sakuya who can stop time. So she would kill you without even trying."

"But-"

"And not to mention I'm stronger than both of them combined."

'And all my hopes are thrown out of the window...WAIT A MINUTE! NO SELF PITY! YOU CAN BEAT HER!'

"So unlike last time, I'll try to kill you this time! Taboo Lævateinn!"

Flandre's sword glowed and was outlined by a large red aura.

She did a vertical slash as Marisa barrel rolled to the right. Flandre cut the ceiling.

Flandre did a vertical slash, Marisa ascended as the swing cut through the walls.

"ARGH! STOP BEING DAN AND DIE ALREADY!" Flandre slashed at Marisa multiple times.

Marisa barely dodged those quick slashes.

Flandre pointed the tip of her sword as red energy was gathering.

"DIE!" A large beam that enveloped the hall was heading to Marisa.

'SHIT!' Thought Marisa while panicking. She then looked at the ceiling and gained an idea.

She aimed her Mini-Hakkero at the ceiling and fired a Master Spark at it. Creating a whole big enough for Marisa to go through.

Marisa ascended to the whole as the blast almost reached her.

The whole manor shook as the beam destroyed a hallway.

Marisa was on another floor and she was panting.

"That was a close on..I don't know if my magic could've stopped that attack...Now I need to think of a plan to stop her. Fighting her at close range is a bad idea. So the best way to defeat her is by ranged attacks."

"Oh Marisa!...Where are ya!?" Flandre sang.

The blonde vampire floats to where Marisa made her hole.

"Where are ya!? Come on out so that I can vaporize ya!"

"Loving Heart Double Spark!"

Flandre looked up as she was enveloped by a much stronger beam attack.

The smoke cleared and the floor had a larger hole. Flandre had scorch marks on herself and her clothes.

"Well Marisa, I'll admit, that attack stung." Marisa knew it wouldn't had defeated her, but she was still took the attack with little damage!

"If your done, now its my turn! Taboo Four of a Kind!"

Once again Flandre split herself into four.

"YOU!"

"WILL!"

"DIE!"

"HERE!"

"MARISA KIRISAME!" The 4 yelled. They all fired a barrage of bullets at Marisa.

Marisa flew out of the way as the bullets hit the ceiling. Marisa then flew away from the clones.

"YOU!"

"CAN'T!"

"RUN!"

"AWAY!"

The 4 chased Marisa.

"Damn it not again, this time there's 4 of her."

One clone appeared in front of her, Marisa backed up and turned only to find another one close to her. Two more was on her left and right.

"THIS!"

"IS!"

"IT!"

"MARISA KIRISAME!" They were gathering energy in their hands.

"Black Magic Event Horizon!"

Before the beams fired, Marisa was surrounded by magic circles that blocked those beams.

Marisa flew up and cast another spell. Magic Space Asteroid Belt!

Marisa summoned a barrage of stars that fell down to the clones.

Each Flandre raised their hand in the air.

"Forbidden Barrage Starbow Break!"

They shot out rainbow colored bullets that collided with the stars. Causing them to break upon contact.

Marisa grits her teeth. She knew if this kept up, Flandre would kill her.

"Love Sign Non-Directional Laser!"

Once again magic circles surrounded Marisa as they fired lasers that went into any direction

The clones were too occupied with Marisa's last attack that they failed to notice that some of the lasers richoted off the windows and was heading to them.

One was shot in the head, one was shot through the torso, and one was shot in the neck.

"NO! NOT AGAIN!" Flandre saw that her clones were killed and disappeared.

She looked to Marisa and sent her a death glare while growling.

"Of all people...Why did you have to make me suffer?! Both you and Reimu Hakurei!"

Marisa raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?!"

Flandre points her finger at her.

"Do you know what happened after my big sis came back for me?!"

Flashback

"ONE JOB! YOU HAD ONE DAMN JOB! TURN ANY HUMANS YOU SEE INTO VAMPIRES!"

Remilia's aura was causing the basement to shake.

Flandre quivered in front of her big sister. Never in her life had she seen Remilia this angry.

"INSTEAD YOU DECIDED TO BEFRIEND TWO HUMANS AND ONE YOKAI!"

Flandre looked down at the floor in fear. "But..."

"NO EXCUSES! WHAT MADE YOU THINK YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH THAT WITHOUT THINKING OF THE CONSEQUENCES!?"

"..."

Remilia walked up to Flandre and slapped her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

"ANSWER ME WHEN I ASK YOU A QUESTION!" Remilia ordered.

Flandre was crying, she didn't understand why Remilia was furious with her. She was locked up in that basement for almost 500 years! She deserved some freedom!

"It's not fair..."

"What?"

Flandre gets back up and angrily glares at her sister.

"IT'S NOT FAIR!" She cried out so loud that it echoed out of the room.

Remilia had taken a step back from that outburst.

"495 Years...495 FUCKING YEARS YOU LOCKED ME IN THIS BASEMENT! I NEVER WENT OUT! NEVER MADE ANY FRIENDS! NEVER HAD A LIFE! BUT I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING! I NEVER ANNOUNCED MY FRUSTRATION BECAUSE I KNEW YOU NEEDED ME ONE DAY! AND I WAS HAPPY WHEN YOU FINALLY NEEDED ME! THEN I MET DAN KUSO, MARISA KIRISAME, AND REIMU HAKUREI! DESPITE WHAT I DID, THEY ALL TREATED ME BETTER ONE DAY, THEN YOU DID MY ENTIRE LIFE! SO YOU KNOW WHAT REMILIA!? FUCK THIS BASEMENT! FUCK YOUR PLANS! AND FUCK YOU!"

Flandre breathed heavily as she finished her rant.

"..." Remilia was speechless.

"I'm leaving here, and there's nothing you can do."

Flandre was then grabbed by the neck.

"My dear little sister...You must of misunderstood something."

Flandre opened her eyes to see Remilia's expression and it was scary. The blue haired vampires eyes were glowing red but she was angry.

"SINCE WHEN DID YOU THINK YOU WERE ABOVE THE CONSEQUENCES!?"

Remilia threw Flandre to her bed. Flandre tried to get up but she felt her legs were held. Remilia was holding her legs so that she couldn't move.

"YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE YOUR MY SISTER YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING YOU WANT?!"

Remilia then spanked Flandre's behind. Causing the younger sister to welp in pain.

"I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

She spanked her again.

"N-No..."

"WHAT WAS THAT!?"

Another slap to her behind.

"I SAID NO!" Flandre cried.

"So answer me this, what possessed you to disobey your older sister?" She was calmer, but was still mad.

"I...Just wanted to be free, to no longer be in this damn basement...I still don't understand why you did it."

"So you don't destroy everything you see! Not only that, your mindset is unstable!"

SLAP

"You hurt others without care!"

SLAP

"You can't think before you act!"

SLAP

"All you do is cause pain to others."

Flandre could be heard sobbing through this abuse.

"You know what...Today proved that I was right to lock you in this basement. Cause you are never getting out of here. And if you do...I'll kill Dan Kuso!"

Flandre's eyes widen. "N-NO! NOT DAN! ANYONE BUT HIM!"

Remilia smiled. "Then be a good girl and stay in this basement for the rest of your life." Remilia stopped and walked to the door.

'Fool, I'll still kill Dan Kuso, and his meddling friends. And then no one will stop me.'

Flandre was left alone crying her eyes out.

Flashback End

After hearing that, Marisa was starting to feel bad for Flandre. Sure, Marisa still didn't like her, but not even someone like her deserved that treatment from an older sibling.

"Don't you understand. If Dan didn't bother to save you and that Hakurei girl. Then he wouldn't have met my sister and planned to kill me!...IT'S ALL YOUR FAULTS!"

Flandre flew to the top. "Forbidden Barrage Clock that Ticks Away the Past!"

Flandre spammed red bullets but then summoned a pattern of 4 lasers that spun like a gear. They were heading to Marisa. The human magician flew away from them, but the gears were gaining on her. It was already hard enough, but with the red bullets, it was becoming difficult to dodge.

Marisa then turned around as one gear followed her. Marisa was flying to the other gear. At the last second, Marisa ascended into the air. Both gears crashed into each other, causing them to break apart.

Flandre was getting more frustrated.

"DIE ALREADY! Secret Barrage And Then Will There Be None?!"

And just like that, Flandre disappeared without a trace. Also, everything was consumed by some dark red substance.

Marisa opened her eyes and saw she was in some type of dimension, but she still didn't see Flandre.

Suddenly, many orbs appeared and was firing rainbow colored orbs at Marisa.

"You got to be kidding me."

Marisa tried to fly away to avoid the barrage, but as soon as she did, another appeared in front of her. She tried again, but two more appeared.

The human magician was worried. More and more were being created. It wouldn't be much time before she became overwhelmed.

"When it doubt, use my Mini-Hakkero! Love Heart Double Spark!"

Her weapon had electricity racing on it before firing another beam. It seemed to hit whatever as the dimension starting cracking before shattering, revealing the hallway.

"THAT'S IT! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU NOW!" Marisa turned and saw Flandre's palm, it had an eye on it.

"Whenever I use this, anything target I see will have my eye, once I crush it, you'll be turned to dust!"

Marisa's eyes shrank. She heard of that technique from Dan. And insta-kill move! And she was at the center!

An eye appeared on Marisa's dress. Flandre smiled darkly.

"GOODBYE FOREVER!"

Flandre crushed the eye in her hand, and on Marisa's dress.

Flandre frowned when she saw something was wrong. From Marisa, body, a card shot out of her body, glowing yellow. It turned into a mirror which showed except an eye. The mirror then turned to dust.

Flandre was flabbergasted. This was the first time her eye attack failed.

Marisa didn't know what happened, but she knew it gave her a chance!

Marisa grabbed Flandre's arm and shoved the Mini-Hakkero in her face.

"Magicannon Final Master Spark"!

The giant beam fired and hit Flandre dead on! Marisa heard Flandre screaming in pain. The blonde vampire was thrown into many different rooms thanks to the beam.

Marisa flew to the floor and got off her broom. She inspected the damage and saw her last attack completely oblierate some walls. She also couldn't see Flandre.

"It looks like I vaporized her. That attack did hurt her now doubt. Sorry Dan, I know you wanted to help her, but I think she would be better off dead."

"IS THAT RIGHT?!" Marisa lost all color to her face as she slowly turns to Flandre who suffered some 1st degree burns and some parts of her clothes were torn. She was still alive, but understandably pissed.

Marisa drops her Mini-Hakkero out of fear. Without blinking, Flandre slammed her fist into Marisa, causing her to drop her hat, but she didn't stop there. She grabbed her neck and slammed down her face to the ground so hard, that it caused spider cracks!

Flandre pulled Marisa's hair to move her head to eye level. Marisa's forehead was bleeding.

Flandre clenched her fist and starting punching Marisa in the face over and over again.

Flandre grabbed her neck again and slammed her to a wall, causing more spider cracks.

Flandre opened her palm. "I don't know how you survived, but you can't pull the same trick twice! Now just stand there and-"

"MARISA!"

Flandre stopped her attack when she heard a familiar voice.

Dan who had healed himself ran to the hall and saw Flandre holding a heavily injured Marisa. Flandre stopped holding Marisa and jumped to Dan.

"DDDDAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!"

Flandre somehow landed in Dan's arms.

"I MISSED YOU SO MUCH! ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE WE LAST SEEN EACH OTHER!"

"It's only been a day." Dan said.

"THAT'S HOW LONG I'VE MISSED YOU!"

"Hold on." Dan puts Flandre down and walks to Marisa.

"Marisa, are you okay?"

"Sure Dan, its not like I was almost killed by a librarian and that psychopath over there!" Marisa spoke sarcastically.

"Yeah, that was a stupid question. Just stand still so I can heal you." Dan said.

"I could use some healing too." They turned to Reimu who was limping.

"Great, she's hear too." Flandre stated with distain.

"Jezze, what happened to you." Dan asked.

"Later, just heal me." Dan nods and walks to Reimu.

Flandre was happy to see Dan again, but she remembered what Remilia would do to him.

"Dan? What are you doing here?"

"Rescuing you and kicking your sister's ass. Now I know you would defend your sister but-"

"I'll help you."

"WHAT?!" The three exclaimed.

Flandre frowned. "My sister...She wasn't like this before. Remilia used to be a kinder person...But after our family was killed, she became...Distant...I hate her now, but a small part of me still believes the old Remilia is still in there...That's why I'm going to fight my sister for you!"

"Your going to need help of course." They turned to Patchouli holding her book.

Flandre gasped.

"Patchouli?! You left your library?!"

Patchouli smiles at Flandre. "Yes, thanks to that wannabe magician." "HEY!" "I realized that I was holding myself back in that library. But I agree with you Flandre, Remi has changed and the only way to bring her back is to beat the sense back to her."

Patchouli turned to Dan and Reimu. "It's nice to meet you Dan Kuso and Reimu Hakurei."

"The pleasure is ours. I'm glad we can come to an alliance." Reimu stated.

"DAN! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAROI?!" Marisa now just noticed Dan wasn't wearing it his haori. Though she could see his well developed muscles which made her blush.

"Oh, it was torn by Sakuya." Dan stated casually.

Patchouli did a double take. "You got past Sakuya and lived?"

"Yep. Not gonna lie, she was harder to take down then Hong-Meiling. Though she was no slouch either."

"Ah. Thank you." Dan was startled as he turned to find the gatekeeper.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Dan.

"Patchouli explained that we're going to fight Remilia. I also agree that Remilia has changed. She used to let me sleep more."

"Hong-Meiling, you always sleep on the job." Patchouli deadpanned. The gatekeeper just pouted.

Dan grin grew.

"Awesome, with the six of us, there's no way Remilia will stand a chance."

"I hate to burst your bubble Dan Kuso, but a six on one doesn't change anything when it comes to Remilia Scarlet, thanks to her ability." Patchouli stated seriously.

"Psh! I defeated a ton of villains before. What can she do, distort reality? Has a giant mech for universal genocide? Time travel?"

"She can manipulate fate." Patchouli told him.

Dan blinked.

"...That's a new one."

"She can make it so that her desired effect comes true. Like if you were going to hit her with an attack, she can make it so that the attacks always miss." Patchouli explained.

Marisa picked her Mini-Hakkero when she heard that, and dropped it again.

"So you mean to say, we have no chance of winning!?" Marisa exclaimed.

"I never said that. But the odds of all of us beating her are...0.01%. And the odds she kill all of us are 99.99%." Patchouli deduced."

Marisa slumped down. "We're doomed."

"Hey! We all made it this far. We just need one last push." Dan stated.

"Dan...She can manipulate fate. In other words, she can control fate to her advantage. We'll lose to fate!"

Dan shook her head. "I don't believe in that bullshit. If fate is so powerful, I wouldn't even be here today." Dan walked to Marisa and lift her and picked up her Mini-Hakkero.

"We're not slaves to fate, we make our own fate by not giving into it. The odds are impossible yes, but as long as there is even a sliver of hope, not even fate can stop us."

Reimu placed a hand on Marisa's shoulders. "I can tell you really held your own while we were separated. I am proud of you for being strong enough to handle yourself Marisa." Reimu gave Marisa a warm smile.

Marisa returned a smile and took her Mini-Hakkero. "Alright. I'm with you guys 100%."

"Hey Dan, if we survive this, do you perhaps want to go on a date with me? I never met a handsome yokai like yourself." Hong-Meiling offered.

Dan looked away from her. "Oh...Well...See I have this thing afterwards where I-Sure I'm free!" Dan immediately closed his mouth but the damage was already done.

"YES! If Remilia hasn't killed me, I'll ask for a day off!" Hong-Meiling skipped away from Dan.

'WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT TAKEOVER MY BODY!?'

'You'll thank me later.'

'DRAGO!'

Dan shook his head and smiled.

"Let's put an end to the mist once and for all."

Remilia's Room

A portal was seen, it was showing Dan and his allies.

"See Remilia, like I predicted, they would turn on you."

Remilia and Magician were watching it.

"So Dan Kuso managed to turn my allies against me eh? I truly underestimated him."

"He he...Like I said, the man is troublesome."

"It doesn't matter, he can't defeat me. He's just charging to his death."

"What are you going to about your sister and your friends?" Magician asked Reimu.

"...It's a shame, I have no choice but to kill them as well. The only person loyal to me now is Sakuya."

"Heh. How cold-blooded. Now after you killed them, you remember our little deal correct?"

"Of course, I'll join your cause."

Magician smiled. "And to help me kill Yukari Yakumo."

Remilia smiled darkly. "Today, will be a new dawn for the vampires!"
