"My name is Mabel, it rhymes with table, it also rhymes with shmabel," Mabel tries to rap with Soos beatboxing.
"Dude we should be writing this down," Soos comments.
"A for effort," I let out a chuckle.
"Guys guys, you hear something," there was a load roar coming in the direction in front of us, "This is it.. this is it!"
"Yes yes yes..." the twins whispers as they go forward.
I follow after them, "Be careful!" I have a bad feeling about this...
Soos picks up a stick that is surprisingly sharpened at the end like a wooden spear.
After getting through the thick fog, we saw the monster's silhouette. We quickly hid behind a log.
"This is it guys!" Dipper says excited, "Ready your camera.."
We all nod at Dipper. Ready with camera on hand.
"Ready... Go!" Soos was the first to go, I follow after him.
Soos was already taking pictures, while I was running towards it, I saw through the fog.. it was just a silhouette of a broken sunken ship with beavers inside.
Soos was taking pictures of it still even though he knows it's not a monster.
"B-but what was that noise I heard..." We all heard it again, it was an old rusty chainsaw making roaring sounds.
"Maybe that guy was crazy after all.." Dipper says losing hope.
"This was not worth it at all..." I still have a bad feeling about this place, "Except the beavers of course still cute."
We all sigh, except for Soos who was still taking pictures of the beavers. We actually failed this Monster Hunt.

"Oh yeah work it, work it!" Soos was still taking pictures except this time one of the beavers is at a stump and is posing. I was intrigued by this and I found it cute so I was also taking pictures.
"What are we gonna say to Grunkle Stan..? We ditched him for nothing," Dipper was sitting on a rock being depressed for leaving Stan. He was right, we couldn't just go back to Stan after leaving him all alone.
"Uh... Dipper?" I say trying to catch Dipper's attention.
"What..?" He throws a small rock making it skip on the water.
"I don't think that's a rock you're sitting on.." I point out.
"Wait what?" He says while the thing he was sitting on moved and he fell to the water.
We gave him a hand to hold to get up to land again. Something was now swimming on the water and it was big. "This is it!" Dipper shoots a picture at the creature, he's the only one not concerned whether this is safe or not, "C'mon this is our chance," he turns to us.
"What's wrong with you guys?" He continues.
We take a few steps back, the creature circling back towards us, "Dipper..." We all tried to warn him. The creature was now above water and going near us. "Behind you..." I tried to warn him again.
"It's not that hard, all you gotta do is point and shoot, just like this," he turns around and finds the body of the creature in front of him, he aims his camera upwards towards the creature's face.
"Run!" Soos said as Dipper drops his camera. We all ran. Dodging the trees that the creature knocked down. "Get back to the boat! Hurry!"
I started to ran and noticed that Mabel wasn't that fast so I grabbed Mabel bridal style since I could run faster than her.
Dipper gets one of his cameras out and takes a photo of the monster, but he trips on a tree and the camera falls.
"The picture!" He stops and tries to go for it, but Soos grabs him by the shirt and drags him along. This was not the time to be taking pictures.
"Dude if it makes you feel any better, I got tons of photos of those beavers dude!"
"I also got some of the pictures of beavers," I comment while running.
"Why would that make me feel better?!" He says hanging by Soos' hands.
I ran faster as we got closer to the boat.
I looked back, it was still chasing us, "How is that even chasing us on land?!" I screamed as I ran faster, quite terrified of how it could easily trample us. "Now that I think about it! This was really a bad idea!"
As soon as we arrived I placed Mabel down on the boat and pushed it off the beach. It was heavy but Soos and Dipper arrived a moment later to help and we all got on the boat.
I turned the engine of the boat on and put it on reverse, Soos started throwing some cameras at it, which was probably most of our camera, while Dipper screams at him to take a picture.
It tries to attack, but it misses and creates a wave. Which helped Soos get on the controls. He went drifted the boat to a 180 so that we could go forward and faster.
We went past a bunch of people's boats with the monster still on our tail.
We go near the island again trying to escape the monster, "Soos beavers!" Dipper points right in front of us which has a wooden structure filled with beavers. We couldn't stop so we bumped right into them breaking their home, which made them flew up and into our boat.
They started biting everything, one went into Soos' face that made him let go of the steering wheel.
Mabel threw a few beavers overboard and went for the controls to stop us from colliding with the island.
We went another direction, but on our path were more families that are trying to enjoy the lake. Somehow we managed to go through them, well Mabel did anyways.
But because of the monster, their boat all flew and sunk into the lake. I would say roadkill but we're on the water and they're still alive.
We kept managing to avoid its attacks, but it started trying to hit us with its head.
At first, he missed the attack but the second we weren't so lucky. Fortunately, we ducked so we wouldn't die of course! Unfortunately, though the boat wasn't lucky half of the top is gone.
In front of us were more people, this time it's two guys, that were transporting glass on two separate boats, how dumb are they? We couldn't steer properly so we drove through the glass and broke it. They were yelling at us by the time we were out of earshot.
"Where do I go?!" Mabel screams.
We are almost cornered by the monster. On our left is a wall and on our right is also a wall and on our back was the monster. In front was a waterfall.
"Uh uh...!" Dipper rummages through his book, "Go through that waterfall! I think there might be a cave!"
"Might be?!" Mabel was panicking but she went through with it.
"Are you guys crazy?!" I was also panicking, we are gonna go through a waterfall, which may or may not hold a cave.
There was no choice, Mabel drove through the waterfall, fortunately, yes there was a cave.
The boat then crashed on land and threw us on the ground. We all stood up and breathe a sigh of relief. We looked behind us, the monster was a moment away from entering the cave.
We all screamed, since I was the closest to Mabel she suddenly hugged me still screaming, while Soos hugged Dipper.
We closed our eyes, after a few seconds we opened them.
The monster... Was stuck!
"It's stuck!" Mabel says, reading my mind. She blushed and let go of me.
"Yeah!" Dipper says victory in his voice, "Wait it's stuck?"
We went up a cliff just far away enough so it can't catch us.
Dipper frantically tries to find a camera anywhere. Mabel takes his hat revealing a camera, "Boop."
He takes a photo of the monster, it tries to bite him, but wasn't long enough, he takes more photos. I also took some photos.
"Did you get a good one?" Mabel asks Dipper.
"They're all good ones!" He said hugging her sister.
The monster tries to flail around more, because of this some of the rocks start to fall. One of the huge rocks fell on top of the monster, it makes an electrical noise, when like a robot dies... Uh oh.
"What-.. the.." Dipper jumps down and reaches the monster.
I follow after him curious to what the heck is this thing, clearly, it wasn't a monster by the noise it made. Dipper investigates by knocking on it making a metallic sound.
"Can you boost me up there?" He points to the top of the monster.
"Sure," I laid my arms for him to step into, using my arms as leverage I got him on top of the monster.
A few moments later, "Hey guys come! check this out!" he waved to us gesturing to follow him. Both Soos and Mabel went down towards me. I first got Mabel on my back and jumped up and climbed.
I let Mabel down near Dipper and went back for Soos, I lend him my hand as I pull him up.
Right now we're looking at a valve ready to be opened. Dipper was the one to open it, upon trying to open it, smoke came out and the door opened.
There we saw.. an old man. He was pulling levers and stepping on pedals trying to make the monster work again.
He turns to us, "Aw, banjo polish." What..? Banjo polish?
"Yo-You made this? W-why?" Dipper points at the old man mad and confused.
"Wait wait, who is this old man?" I asked the twins, I was really out of the loop.
"He was the crazy old man that told us that there was a monster in ScuttleButt Island," Mabel answered finally getting me in the loop.
"Why did you do this? McGucket?" Dipper asked the old man again.
"Well.. I.. I-i... I just wanted attention," I can feel that he's being genuine with us.
"I still don't understand?" Dipper said confused.
"Well first I just hootenannied up a biomechanical brain wave generator and then I learned how to operate a stick shift with mah beard," he said speaking so fast even I didn't understand most of it.
"Okay... yeah, but why did you do it?" Mabel asks McGucket.
"Is it for world domination?" I question him while getting weird looks, "Nevermind..." I mean it's possible, in the movies that's what they usually want when they build giant crazy ass robots.
"Well.. when you get to be an old fella like me, nobody pays attention to you anymore," I thought of Stan immediately, "My own son hasn't visited me in months."
"So I figured I'd fancy with a fifteen-ton aquatic robut!" He continues as he laughs like a maniac, "In retrospect, it seems a bit contrived. You just don't know the length us old-timers go through for a little quality time with our family."
I look at Mabel and Dipper as they look at the fishing hats which I assumed Stan gave them.
"Dude. I guess the real lake monster is you two." I nudge at Soos, too soon, "heh sorry that just like-boom- just popped into my head there."
"Don't worry about it much guys, I mean we can still do something," I say hinting that we could still go to Stan.
The twins took a deep sigh.
"So, did you ever talk to your son about how you felt?" Mabel asked him.
"No, sir. I got to work straight on the robut!" He then starts to talk about how he destroyed the city a couple times with his other contraptions, like when his wife left him he got a fire breathing pterodactyl.
After talking to him, he said he had to go back to working on his death ray.
"So much for the photo contest.." Dipper sighs.
"So much for my hamster ball.." Mabel says with a frown.
"A hamster ball is that really what you wanted?" I asked Mabel while she nods, "Maybe I could get you one as a gift in the future."
Mabel's eyes lit up, "Really?" I nod, "Thanks!" She hugs me really tight this time.
She lets go a few moments later. "You still have one roll of film left? Right Dipper?" Mabel asks her sibling.
"Whaddya wanna do with it?"

"Hey over here!" Dipper screams as we near Stan's boat.
After coming to a full stop, Dipper takes a picture of Stan. "What the.. kids? I thought you two were playing spin the bottle with Soos?"
"Well, we spent all that time trying to find a legendary dinosaur.." Dipper scratches his arm sounding guilty.
"But we realized, that the only dinosaur we want to hang out with is right here!" Mabel points at Stan.
"Save your sympathy, I've been having a good time without ya," He says with little confidence, "Making friends, talking to my reflection."
"So I guess there's no more room in that boat for four more..?" Dipper asks sadly. The twins puts on their hat.
Stan's expressions softens, "You knuckleheads ever seen me thread a hook with my eyes closed?"
"Five bucks says you can't do it," Dipper bets getting in.
Stan replies, "You're on!"
"Five more bucks says you can't do it with your eyes closed, plus me singing at the top of my lungs." Mabel states getting on to the boat.
"I like those odds!"
I get on the boat, "I'll add another five bucks to that."
"Looks like I'll be making a few money off of you kids."
Soos also gets in the boat, "Whoa, what happened to your shirt?"
"Long story dude."
Dipper holds out a camera, "Alright everybody get together, say fishing."
"Dude am I in the frame?" He asked Dipper. I'm pretty sure his belly is the only thing on the shot for him.
Dipper finally took the picture.
Stan was on the right side of the picture, to his right was Mabel, I sat beside on Mabel's right side, while Soos was standing on my right.
It was a memorable day. We took a lot of pictures, hang out for a couple of hours. Be it fishing, messing with other people, or running away from the lake police, we did it.
