Such a calming day. Nothing much to do but to pass time. Honestly, I'm almost close to falling asleep.
Wendy was on the cashier sitting down reading some magazine, while I was on the other side of the room leaning to a desk while reading a magazine- it was about weapons. I'm not really a violent type of guy, but the weapons looked interesting at the very least.
Someone came inside the Gift shop, but I was too busy reading- and maybe a bit lazy..
Whoever the person was, they approached Wendy.
"Hey, Wendy.. do you wanna hang out at the fair?" I heard a friendly voice say, it was Dipper.
"Yeah, I guess so." I hear her say nonchalantly.
"So.. Will..." A voice came out of nowhere.
I tense a little at the sudden voice, I looked in front of me to see it was Mabel, "Oh! Hey did not see you there," I let out a small laugh, I put down the magazine I was reading, "So Wassup?"
"Uh... So, since my bro bro, wanted to hang out with Wendy and since I have no one else to hang out with... I wanted to know if you want to hang out with me in the fair," She does the adorable puppy eyes at me.
I give it a moment of thought, "A fair, huh...? Never been to one before.. Sure why not" I shrug, "Besides who could say no to that face," I put my hand to her hair messing it up a bit.
She pouts at my action, "Yay!" She cheers genuinely, "I'll see you tomorrow then!"
"I'll be there," I reassure her, "I wouldn't miss it."
"Okay!" She runs to her brother, "Come on Dipper!" Mabel waves at me as both the twins quickly ran to the living room. So energetic.

William
Stan stands in front of the entrance, "There she is, Mabel; the cheapest fair money can rent. I spared every expense." Stan says with glory.
Here I am... standing at the entrance with Stan and Mabel. While Dipper tried out one of the rides to test if it's safe.
Just as Stan said, 'cheapest'- it definitely shows. The fair wasn't too big, but it was enough for people to have fun. The problem is... I don't think the rides are very 'safe'. I don't think I'll be trying out most of the rides, that's for sure.
I look at Stan, "Are you sure the rides won't just... you know- fall?" I regret saying that and I probably jinxed it. As soon as I said that- I heard screaming and one of the sky trams fell from the sky just a few feet away from Stan. "You know what never mind..."
Dipper comes out of the sky trams, he doesn't have any injury- he probably won't go any rides again. "I think the sky tram is broken. Also, most of my bones."
"Alright, alright. I've got a job for you kids." Stan pulls out a bunch of fake safety inspection certificates with an A+ on them, "I printed up a bunch of fake safety inspection certificates. Go slap one on anything that looks like a lawsuit."
"One of the sky trams just fell.. I don't think that's 'safe' " I point towards sky tram trying to make a point.
"It's part of the experience kid!" I facepalm at his excuse, one of these days- we are so getting in trouble because of Stan.
Mabel turns to Stan, "Grunkle Stan, is that even legal? Putting these fake safety inspections."
"Sheesh. You kids ask too many questions, when there are no cops around, anything's legal!" he turns to leave, "Make sure to hang those certificates!"
"Oh right! I need to find Wendy!" Dipper says as he also turns to leave, "I'll see you guys later! Have fun!"
I turn towards Mabel, "Well looks like it's just us now."
"Y-Yeah... So what do you wanna do first?" she replies.
I look at the fair. There seem to be a lot of rides and booths. There are some booths which you can win some stuff, definitely gonna try that later. There were also some food stalls- maybe we should go there first... Oh! there's also a Ferris wheel, which was actually working, and then there's... 'TUNNEL OF LOVE AND CORNDOGS'.. Maybe let's not go there.
"How 'bout we just walk around for a bit and see what we like?" I offer.
"Sure!" We started walking to some of the booths. "Will! Look! Cotton candy!" Her eyes started sparkling.
I looked over where she was pointing, "Sweets right off the bat? Well, can't argue with that." We approached it, "Hello! Two cotton candy please!" It took a moment but he made two for us and handed it to me. I paid for it and we left the stand.
"Here you go Mabel," I gave her share.
She smiles at me, "Thanks!" She starts chomping on the cotton candy.
I take some bites from my food, it was good, "By the way.. is there a reason why you asked me to go to the fair with you?"
She tenses up a bit, "Well... Dipper asked W Wendy so I have no one else to hang out with- and because I wanted to know you more-..." She mumbles the last part, but before she could finish her sentence-.
"William!" A faint yet familiar voice approached us.
I recognized the voice, I looked behind me to see.. "Mom!" I smile at the sight of her, I give her a hug which lasted a moment, "What are you doing here? I mean nothing wrong with that but.. yeah."
"Your uncle just wanted to explore the neighborhood more and we saw there was a fair, so we came." She said as my uncle greets us. She looks over my shoulder towards Mabel, she looks at her with curious eyes, "And who is this?" Her eyes lit up with a grin on her lips, she approaches Mabel.
"H-Hello.. My name is Mabel!" She tries to be confident.
She takes Mabel's hands, "Please, take care of my son." She says bluntly, I facepalm for the second time today...
"W-What? I-i it's nothing like t-that..." She says super flustered, this is honestly the first time I've seen Mabel act like this. It was quite amusing.
"So you don't like my son?" She looks at her with a confused face.
She quickly replies. "No-! I- Yes! I mean I didn't say that... I just it's not that yet..."
She looks at me for help, I sigh, "Look mom that's enough... You're scaring her," I hold back mom a little. "Before there's any more misunderstandings- This is my friend, 'Mabel Pines'" I introduce them together, "Mabel, this is my mother- Anna and this is my uncle- Mark."
"It's nice to meet you, Mabel."
"It's nice to meet you too!" Mabel replies innocently.
She looks at both of us for a moment, "I think I had my fun now." She lightly laughs, "I'll leave you both alone for now.. Bye!" They wave goodbye and both turn to leave.
"Bye!" We both said.
"Your mom seems... Nice and.. Scary." I laugh at her comment.
We continue to walk around the fair, "Yeah... I guess she's like that, what about your parents?" I look at her waiting for a response.
"Well.. I came from California. My parents said we needed some fresh air... So they made us stay with Grunkle Stan." She explains. "How about you? Where's your dad? I only saw your mom earlier."
I shrug, "I don't really know either." She looks at me a little curious, "My dad.. he disappeared when I was young, so I didn't really get to know him much."
I must have looked sad to her- as she gives me a hug from the front. She was only a few inches smaller than me so her face was on my neck. "I'm sorry- I didn't know!"
"Oh! No-no.. It's fine. It already happened. I'm just curious to where he went." I pull out my necklace, "He did leave me this though."
She looks at it still close to me, "Whoa! That looks cool!"
"Yeah... My dad and mom met each other here in Gravity Falls, that's why we were visiting. It seems like a cool town- Weird but cool." Then I remembered, "Oh yeah.. As much as I like this, you can let go now then we can explore more."
She quickly lets go of the hug, "Oh! Right.. Sorry.. hehe.. I forgot."
We started to walk again, "We should go monster hunting with your brother soon. Ya know just exploring?"
She giggles a little, "Yeah! That sounds fun. Maybe somewhere less dangerous than last time."
"I guess that's fair," I chuckle, it's fun adventuring yet dangerous. I guess sometimes you just have to live life on the edge. We approached one of the booth. It seems you have to throw a ball to the bottles which was stacked. There's some interesting prizes. "Do you wanna try that?" I turn to Mabel.
She nods, "I want that!" She points at a plushie of a cat- she looks at with sparkly eyes.
"Coming right up- I got this" I assure her.
I give the guy a ticket that Stan gave us earlier and he handed be a rubber ball. "So I just have to knock all of it over..." With all my strength I throw it in a straight line. It hit the middle of the bottles which knocked all of them over. The ball went and ripped a small hole in the cloth of the tent behind it. I never knew I was that strong.
He gave me the plush and I turn to Mabel, "Here ya go."
She hugs me again for the second time today. "Thank you!" The hug lasted for only a few seconds before we left the booth.
"So.. what do you wanna do next?" I asked her.
"Well... Do you wanna go on a ride..?" She turns to me.
I look over the fair again, "What kind of ride? Actually before that.. Can you wait here for a few seconds? Just have to go to the bathroom..."
She nods, "Sure! I'll just wait here for you!"
I turn to leave and went to the shack since it's very close and the only bathroom is there.
