Ch 9 Much Needed Help

"Safara!" Tama cried out, shocked that her daughter was there. "What are you doing here?!"

"Stopping you Mother!" Safara hissed, narrowing her blue eyes at her mother. "I won't let you hurt my friends!"

"They had their chance to join us!" Tama cried out. "And they refused. They deserve death for their betrayal!"

"I refused to help too Mother," Safara pointed out. "Do I deserve death too? And Sharka I'm shocked you would allow this. Chafu is your son for Kings sake! Are you really willing to let him die?!"

"No of course not!" Sharka cried out, running over to Chafu, who was looking at her with a confused look. "I'd never allow my child to get hurt!"

"Sure didn't seam like it Mother," Chafu said, snapping back into reality. "If Safara hadn't come when she did you would have let them rip us to shreds. So don't try to get me to think you're suddenly on my side!"

"I've always been on your side!" Sharka declared. "And I always will be! I'm your mother!"

"Yeah a mother who betrayed me!" Chafu shouted, causing Sharka to back up a step. "You and Tama both betrayed your own children and now you expect us to just up and support you out of what family loyalty?! A hell of lot good family loyalty did for Nyeusi! Or have you forgotten about your daughter that was killed because of your stupidity?! I hate you Mother! You can shove your family loyalty right up your ass!"

"Chafu please," Sharka began. But she was interrupted by her son's furious snarl.

"I don't want to hear anymore bull shit Mother!" Chafu snarled, glaring at his mother. "I'm so done! I've been done ever since Nyeusi died!"

"Yeah same with me," Safara declared. "Like I said before Mother: until you come to your senses then I want nothing to do with you."

"You're nicer than I am," Chafu said, still glaring at his mother. "Even of she somehow magically sees the light and begs forgiveness I won't listen! As far as I'm concerned I have no mother! You're dead to me Mother!"

"Chafu please," Sharka began.

"Goodbye Mother!" Chafu snarled. With that Safara, Chafu and Kopa began to walk away. But they were stopped by the hyenas surrounding them.

"Oh no," one the hyenas hissed. "You ain't goin' nowhere!"

"Get the Hell out of our way Nne," Kopa growled, glaring at the hyena.

"If you think that we're just gonna let the three of you leave then you got another thin comin'," Nne growled, glaring at Kopa.

"Wow you hyenas are even dumber than I thought," Chafu muttered. Safara glared at Chafu and Kopa let out a growl.

"Well there Chafu it looks like you're the dumb one," Nne growled as the rest of the hyenas surround the three young lions. "And now" Nne growled. "You are gonna die for that." With that the hyenas moved in for the kill. Tama and Sharka went to stop them. But before they could they heard a voice shout, "Touch them and I'll kill all of you!" The group turned and they were shocked at who they saw standing there.

Meanwhile Nuka and Vitani had met up with Simba and Zira and they Royal Family was enjoying some much needed quality time. "We're so glad you kids took the time to spend with us," Simba said, smiling at his children.

"Yes," Zira chimed in. "Its been far to long since we've done so."

"We're sorry Mom and Dad," Nuka said, feeling slightly guilty. "We've just been so busy what with out new future mates but now we're trying to help Kopa deal with all the shit he's going through right now."

"We understand son," Simba said with a smile. "Your mother and I were young once too you know." Nuka smiled back at his father and was about to say something when the saw Kovu walking towards them.

"Hey guys," Kovu said with a smile. "Have you seen Safara? I was hoping to spend some alone time with her and I can't find her. No one in the Pride has seen her either. And Kiara told me that Kopa and Chafu haven't been seen for a while either."

"Chafu was pretty upset," Vitani said. "So was Kopa now that I think about it. Maybe they're still cooling off."

"Maybe," Simba said. "But never the less I think we should look for them."

"I agree," Zira said with a nod. "Its getting dark after all." With that the group split up and began their search for the young lions.

Nuka and Kovu were searching when they decided to check near the watering hole. After a few minutes the two young lions reached the watering hole and were talking with some of the other animals that were there. "Have any of you seen Kopa, Chafu or Safara?" Nuka asked.

"We have," an elephant said. "At least we saw Kopa and Chafu. They were talking and then they walked away. That was quite some time ago though."

"Yeah," the other elephant chimed in. "And from what I could tell the conversation they were having was a pretty intense one. I hope there's nothing to serious going on."

"Nothing that can't be handled," Nuka said with a smile. "No need for you all to be worried. But we would like to find them."

"Did you happen to see which way they went?" Kovu asked.

"I believe they were heading towards the Grasslands," the elephant said, looking at the other elephant, who nodded in agreement.

"Thank you Hath," Nuka said with a smile. With that Nuka and Kovu headed towards the Grasslands, hoping they'd find their friends there.

Nuka and Kovu were nearing the Grasslands when they ran into Vitani and Kiara. Simba and Zira had decided to look separately in order to cover more ground in the same period of time. "Any luck?" Kiara asked, looking at the two lions.

"A little," Nuka said. He then explained to his girlfriend and sister what the elephants had told them.

"Well maybe they'll be there," Vitani said hopefully. "I hope..." But just then the sounds of fighting were heard.

"What the Hell was that?!" Kovu cried out.

"Only one way to find out," Nuka said as he dashed towards the sounds. The rest of the group quickly followed.

Kopa, Safara and Chafu all looked at their savior with wide eyes. "Dogo!" Nne cried out, the outrage clear in his voice. "What the Hell do you think you're doin'?"

"Stopping you Nne," Dogo growled as he ran between the confused young lions along with his five brothers and sisters. "I won't let you hyenas hurt them!"

"You little shit!" Nne snarled, raising his paw to hit Dogo. "I'll kill you!" But just then Reirei tackled Nne to the ground.

"Touch my son and I'll kill you!" the female jackal snarled, her face inches from Nne's.

"Try it bitch!" Nne snarled, shoving Reirei off of him. "My Clan will rip you apart!"

"I don't think so!" Reirei snarled back, her black eyes filled with rage. While this argument was happening Safara, Kopa and Chafu took the opportunity to sneak away. After they were sure that Sharka and Tama and the rest of their crew were distracted they walked as quickly as they could away from the danger. Once they were sure they were a safe distance they began to run. But they didn't get very far before they ran smack into five jackals.

"Shit not good!" Kopa cried out, his blue eyes wide. By now it was getting dark and he was having a hard time seeing. Kopa and his friends began to run but before they could get one step two of the jackals stepped in front of them.

"You're not goin' anywhere," the jackal said. "Not 'til I'm done with you."
