Ch 11 Getting Some Sense Knocked Into You
Kopa crouched down low, with his claws extended, fully prepared to strike. Just then he heard some call his name. This got the attention of Simba and Nuka and they turned to see Kiara and Kovu heading towards them with Vitani and Jasiri right behind them. "Kopa!" Kiara cried out, the anger clear in her voice as she stormed up to her brother and got right in his face. "We need to talk! right now!" Kopa backed up a step, startled by his sister's tone. But the creamy coated lion shook his head and quickly regained his composure.
"Kiara I don't have time for..." Kopa began. But he was interrupted by his sister's furious shout.
"Now Kopa!" the light brown lioness snarled, surprising Kopa. "Kovu you and Jasiri come too!" Kiara demanded, her voice still a growl. Kovu and Jasiri exchanged confused looks as they followed Kiara with an angry and annoyed Kopa right behind them.
"What the Hell was that about?" Nuka wondered, wrinkling his brow in confusion.
"Beats me," Vitani said with a shrug. "But boy Kiara sure did sound pissed." The tan coated Princess let out a small laugh when she said this part.
"She certainly did sound angry," Simba agreed with a nod. "But I'm sure that they'll tell us what's going on when they're ready to. Until then I suggest we return to Pride Rock and get some rest."
"Good idea Dad," Nuka said with a yawn. Vitani nodded in agreement and let out a yawn of her own. Simba smiled slightly and let out a light laugh and shook his head slightly.
"Lets go you two," the King said with another laugh. With that the group of lions headed back to Pride Rock.

Meanwhile Kiara, Kovu, Jasiri and Kopa had reached the area near the gorge. "Alright Kiara out with it," Kopa said, the annoyance clear in his voice. "I'm not feeling great right now so..."
"I saw you Kopa," Kiara declared, causing Kopa to blink in surprise.
"You saw me do what exactly?" Kopa asked, trying not to sound to worried.
"I saw you about to attack Simba and Nuka," Kiara said. Kovu and Jasiri gasped in shock.
"Kiara I would never..." Kopa began. But once again he was cut off by Kiara's shout.
"I saw you Kopa!" Kiara shouted, causing Kopa to jump slightly. "You were crouched down low with your claws extended. You had that same look on your face that you always have right before you're about to attack someone."
"Kiara that's crazy," Jasiri said, jumping right to her boyfriend's defense. "Kopa would never hurt Simba or Nuka."
"Yeah Kiara I'm shocked you would even suggest such a thing," Kovu chimed in. "I'm sure there's a reason you saw what you did."
"Yeah," Jasiri chimed in. "Or maybe you didn't see what you thought you did. I mean we were running after all."
"I know what I saw," Kiara declared, glaring at Jasiri. "And I don't appreciate being questioned like this Jasiri. I'm not stupid!"
"Kiara I'm sorry," Jasiri began. "I..." But Kiara paid the rusty brown lioness no attention and she turned back toward Kopa and shouted, "And I sware to you Kopa if you do anything to hurt Nuka I will rip you apart myself!"
"Jeeze Kiara chill," Kopa said, rolling his blue eyes. "I wasn't going to hurt Nuka. Or Simba for that matter. And I take offence to you even suggesting that I would."
"But I saw..." Kiara began. But she was interrupted by Kopa's annoyed sounding voice.
"You saw me crouch down low yes," Kopa said. "But I was stretching. That's why my claws were extended. And the face I was making was because it hurt when I stretched and I was a little pissed off by that."
"See sis," Kovu said with a smile. "I told you there was a good reason."
"I knew Kopa would never do anything like that," Jasiri said, nuzzling Kopa, who gladly returned the nuzzle.
"I'm sorry Kopa," Kiara said, lowering her eyes in shame. "I should have known you would never do something like that. Its just that...well...you've been acting so strange lately. And you've been hearing Kion's voice. I just...Well I was worried that you were..."
"Turning into him," Kopa finished. Kiara nodded and Kopa embraced his sister.
"That won't happen Ki'," Kopa whispered. "I sware to you."
"Damn right it won't," Kovu chimed in. "Cause we're not gonna let that happen."
"And we know you're strong enough not to let him take over," Jasiri piped up, giving Kopa's cheek a lick.
"Thanks guys," Kopa said with a smile. "But now that that's all settled can we go back home? I'm not feeling the best."
"Sure thing bro," Kovu said with a smile of his own. With that the group headed back to Pride Rock. While they were walking Kopa couldn't help but feel guilty.
"I won't prove them wrong," the creamy coated lion thought. "I had a moment of weakness but that's over. I'm just glad Kiara came along and stopped me. I won't listen to Kion again." With that Kopa continued his walk determined to keep this promise to himself.

The next day Kopa awoke with a pounding headache. Opening his eyes he saw that Jasiri and the rest of the lionesses were gone for the hunt. He saw that Nuka and Simba were gone as well. But Kovu was still there and the golden brown lion was sound asleep. Getting up Kopa stretched and decided to go for a walk in the hopes that his headache would go away. Kopa went to the watering hole and got a drink. When he was done he was surprised to see Simba standing there. "Simba!" Kopa cried out, taking a step back. "You scared me."
"Sorry Kopa I didn't mean to," the golden King with a guilty smile. "I called you name but I guess you didn't hear me."
"Yeah thanks to this damn headache," Kopa muttered, hoping Simba wouldn't hear him. But unfortunately for him Simba did indeed hear him.
"Your head is still bothering you?" the golden King asked. Kopa let out a slight growl but he quickly regained his composure.
"Yeah," Kopa admitted, deciding not to argue the matter. "A little bit. But..."
"You need to go back to Pride Rock," Simba declared, a little force in his voice. "You could further injure yourself."
"There he goes again," Kion's voice said. "Telling you what to do like he's your father. He's not your father Kopa. He thinks you're weak. Kiara stopped you before but she's not here now. Now's your chance to finish what you began. Kill him. Show him and everyone else that you're not weak."
"That won't work," Kopa muttered. "Everyone will know it was me."
"There's no one around," Kion said. "No one will ever know it was you. Do it. Kill him. Now!"
"You're right," Kopa said.
"What was that?" Simba asked, giving Kopa a confused look.
"I said you're right," Kopa said. "I do need to go back to Pride Rock. I was just getting a drink that's all."
"Lets go then shall we?" Simba asked with a smile. With that Simba turned and began to walk back to Pride Rock. Kopa walked behind Simba with an evil smile.
"Now's my chance," the creamy brown lion said to himself as he walked. "I'll kill Simba and prove to everyone that I'm not week." After making sure no one was around Kopa got down low and extended his claws and pounced, letting out a murderous roar as he brought Simba to the ground and slashed the surprised King's throat wide opened.
