Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Prince of the Vampires. Enjoy the 8000-word chapter. I don't own Hotel Transylvania, Sony, and a few others.
(Europe.)
Mavis pressed the last piece of the puzzle into place. It had been something she wished to get onto. There was more that she needed to know and even more, she had to do and say as of the time. this was one of the few times that she found it to be more interesting as of the time.
Still? She questioned what was to happen with Lennix next. The idea of this being the end of the line for her ideals had been terrifying, even more, if they had been prepared for it.
Her boyfriend was to be on the council and she had been slowly but surely starting to deal with the new weight that had been placed on him. It was simply a harder idea to wrap her fingers around.
"No, Gom. I do not think we need a platoon at every intersection across this place." Lennix stated before he tilted his head before he hummed
"We need to do it before today ends. The more soldiers we can place across the hotel? The more security we can give to every single person who wishes to live here." Gom stated before Lennix rolled his eyes, sighing to himself.
There had been a lot that he had yet to understand when it came down to it.
"What's going on?" Mavis asked before Lennix raised an eyebrow at her.
It had been an interesting idea. One which had been an interesting idea of the time. It was something that had pressed her into the corner at the time. she had been on the frontlines of combat for the time, not a place she wished to be anytime soon.
Lennix sighed as he started to contemplate what to do next. He knew he couldn't blame Gom for wishing to make this place more secure. He was a warrior and his ideas weren't bad, but they seemed to stick with the idea of someone who hadn't yet been able to relax
"Gom just wants to put patrols in every single hallway… Despite this not being the castle and us having no reason to need so much security in one place." Lennix said before he glanced at his friend. "The more we try to do in one go? The more dangerous it's going to be. Secondly?" Lennix asked before he hummed to himself, rubbing at his eyes as he pondered what to say for a few seconds.
"This isn't the castle, Gom. I'm sure Drac and they have plenty of guards that can protect people here. This isn't like the golem wars where we needed security 24/7 when we took naps and all of that." Lennix added before he sighed to himself.
Lennix sighed and put a hand to his temples before he hummed, interested in what was to come if he was given enough time and effort to put this together. There was a lot more he could not fathom.
Still? He had a lot more questions when it came down to it. There was a lot more on his mind than this problem and he needed to find a way to solve this easily.
Mavis leaned a hand on him as he hummed to himself before he shook his head and he glanced around before this came down to it.
He sighed to himself before he rubbed his temples and smiled at her while he hummed to his side. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth only to feel pain before holding a hand to the roof of his temples.
Mavis watched as he seemed to question what to do next. Her boyfriend had been on the frontlines of a few things and from what little did she know of him? Well, there was a lot she had found from her father, at least from her father.
"Nervous about being part of the council and all that?" Mavis questioned before she tilted her head as he hummed and seemed to glance at her.
It had been a lot more curious as of the time before he crossed his arms while he sighed to himself. He brushed off his armor before he brought it to his mind. He clicked his fingers together and hummed to himself.
"There are a few more problems that I can't handle and that's one of them," Lennix said before he clicked his fingers. "I don't know what is going to happen as king or counselor or whatever as of the time," Lennix said while he hummed to himself.
He crossed his arms while he looked at the ground. This had been a lot more horrible than had to be done when it came down to it. Still? He had a lot more on the line as of now.
"We both know what is going to happen if we don't handle this problem in the bud. It'd be a lot harder to deal with it if not now." Lennix stated as he started to ponder the time.
He sighed for a second as he questioned what to do. Lennix began to pace while he hummed and rubbed at his armored helm.
Today would be a long day. He'd sooner deal with that to the end of his days. Yet he'd be more annoyed if they were off-kilter even a smidge.
"Lennix? I'd like to point out that if you were to be married to Lady Dracula…" Gom started to say before both Vampires looked at him before he questioned what to do next. "Mavis. You, vampires, are so odd when it comes down to it… She would also be part of the council or such. She is Lord Dracula's heir and also part of the Dracul bloodline." Gom stated before he sighed to himself and looked around the room.
She had been a lot more curious as of the time being. She knew more than anything that it'd be dangerous before now. Gom hadn't been quiet about his ideas and yet he seemed to be throwing himself to the side before he questioned things.
She had been a lot more focused before now. Gom stayed silent for a time before this had been done. Whatever had been said and done seemed to annoy Lennix more than he had been a few seconds ago. She was about to speak when he sighed and looked at her before finally speaking.
"Leave the politics out of today, Gom. The last thing we need is dealing with more annoying mumbo jumbo about stuff we don't care about. I don't want to deal with certain things besides the little stuff." Lennix stated before he cracked his fingers.
"Just pointing out the facts, my lord. It comes with being a warrior in your service. The Goblins have ways such as honor and certain things." Gom responded before Lennix stated to himself before sighing.
He knew the soldier was just doing whatever he could to mess with them. There was too much on the Vampire Prince's face to make him question this for the time being.
She couldn't exactly blame him for feeling so run down. He had been trying to put other things out of his mind. It was part of why she loved him considering this hadn't been something he had to do for the time being.
"Are you sure you're, ok?" Mavis asked while she tapped at his face before he yawned and nodded a second later.
"Yes. I'm fine. Just a bit off for the time being." Lennix said while he ran his hands down his side before sighing to himself before now. "There's a lot more I don't know as of the time and it's terrifying me for the time being. I don't know what to say or do next… It's tearing me up for the time being." Lennix said before he sighed and rubbed his side with a shake of his head.
The woman had been something that needed to be done for the time being. Whatever little annoyances on his mind had been terrifying him. Whatever he had been handling as of now.
"You're fine. If it was such a problem? I'd talk to my father about it and find something better than this." Mavis added as Lennix hummed and nodded before cracking his fingers at her.
The two vampires had been thrown off for the time being. There was a lot more at stake if they failed before now. Their only real challenge before now was the idea that their time was running out. More people were coming here now and it meant more problems for the time being. It had been a problem for either of them before now.
He ran his hands over his temples with interest.
There was so much that hadn't yet questioned for now how this would have gone. If anything? They had more to handle. A lot more was to happen that he didn't want to happen.
He rubbed at his temples, unsure of what the real next move would or should be. He had a sinking feeling that this wasn't even slightly over before now. He was prepared more for the nightmare to end, they had more to do anyway and this wasn't exactly helping anyone when it was all over for now.
He still sighed, too annoyed by this to do anything like he had been there before now. He didn't want to let her down, let down anyone else whose skills weren't important to how this could go.
If anything? He was still in a rut that needed to be fixed properly. He wanted nothing more than to scream into the void, unsure of what it'd bring if anything. They had too many problems when all of this was said and done at the end of the day. He had a lot more to question, too much to focus on the problems at hand. He wasn't willing to focus on anything besides what was important for now, if anything. There was more to focus on and that would still be the case when all of this was done and dusted. He was preparing for what had been coming next.
"This going to suck…." Lennix stated to which there was a roll of the eyes, preparing for the worst. "How does your dad deal with all of this stuff daily? He's not a normal vampire for what he seems to put up with daily on a basis like this." Lennix added to which Mavis giggled to herself as she rolled her eyes.
She supposed that the comment wasn't a lie when all of this was done and dusted. If anything? He was focused a lot more on problems that hadn't yet been able to relax for now. If anything? It just made him that much more curious about how this would have gone and what would have happened to him. If anything was done and dusted. He had a lot more to focus on for now. Something that wasn't able to properly be focused on for now.
She wrapped her arms around his and leaned into his side, unsure of what would happen when this was all decided for now. He had a lot more to question and understand. If anything? He was over this, over more than anything how their game would be focused on for now when all of this was said and done. He was a lot more curious about how this would go and how to properly stop them and take them down at the end of the day. If anything? He had a lot more to look down on all of this and sigh to himself, unwilling or unable to properly focus on the problem at hand.
Lennix was too curious as to the second, she didn't what to know for the moment what was going on the second.
She wasn't going to let this go the way that this had to go. Lennix was curious as of the second while he tilted his head the second.
Lennix looked up at the ceiling before he questioned before now, tilting his head before he tilted his head, looking up at the ceiling as if expecting something that wasn't going to come for a long time. He didn't know what else was going to happen.
"Stop being so twitchy, everything is going to be fine. Dad does this all the time." Mavis said as Lennix turned to look at her, raising an eyebrow.
"He panics all the time? That would explain his reaction to this." Lennix said as he pointed around for now. "Sorry, I'm just a bit nervous. All these rules and ideas are being thrown around as if everyone entirely imploded… And secondly? Your dad doesn't have to put up with the vampire government." Lennix stated before he sighed.
"Maybe, but it doesn't mean that much when you think about it," Lennix said to which Mavis rolled her eyes, elbowing her boyfriend in the side.
Lennix laughed as the smaller vampire leaned on him. it would have made him laugh if not for the fact she hit a lot harder than she had before.
Lennix simply guided her up the stairs, turning to look over the rows of goblins and other guests. He didn't know what would happen if he wasn't honest with himself, but he knew that he'd be ok for now. There was at least enough energy inside of him to laugh, finding this was all too much amusement compared to what the vampire regularly went through throughout the day.
Then again? Lennix wasn't usually awake during the day which was partly why he found this to be so tiring, so exhausting. He was not used to their antics, not unsure of what to have done at the moment and what was going to happen next.
Mavis tickled his side, making him snicker as he looked at the smirking vampire to which he rolled his eyes, holding up his hands as he did so.
"Don't try it, I will fight back." Lennix teased with amusement as he did so.
"Today is going to be fun," Lennix said with a smirk. "A lot of fun, I don't know what's going to be better, honestly. This? Or whatever your father wants to talk about later." Lennix stated to which Mavis sighed.
She didn't know what her father wanted besides for her to stop messing with her boyfriend. It wasn't like they had done anything that bad. She knew her limits and she knew Lennix wasn't exactly the worst person.
Plus? She knew he and she were fine, yet he had to keep fretting. There was more for now.
She looked at her boyfriend who had been silent. It was something odd, something that hadn't yet seemed to have been when it was all over for now. She had somewhat fallen from grace. There were a lot worse things she could have done, they hadn't gotten the proper focus for now.
She hummed, questioning what her father would have done if she was here. She didn't know what Drac wanted and how this could have possibly been a problem. She didn't know how well he'd have been over.
"What will happen when the holidays come? We both know your dad kinda had some trouble with the last time." Lennix stated while he rubbed at his chin.
"We're thinking of something, we always do," Mavis said. "The problem is making sure he doesn't overact. I don't want my Aunt Lydia to have to come here and cause more problems. Then again? The last time dad left me in charge?" Mavis said while she stared into space.
"Did something terrible happen that made this make more sense or did you want to tell me of some insane problem?" Lennix teased as she elbowed him in the side which made him laugh.
He hadn't yet gotten to that part of life. It had been a weird spot, something that hadn't yet gotten all over his mind. He hadn't properly gotten over the ideas which brewed within his brain.
"My aunt. She and my dad kinda have a weird bond that they've been going back and forth over. She's been the one who watched the hotel last time I was here… She was in charge of things the last time she was here." Mavis stated to which Lennix hummed, rubbing at his chin as he did so.
"Well, it's an odd thing, but I suppose that's mostly fair," Lennix said as she punched him in the side. "Ow, you pack a lot more of a punch than you think you do," Lennix said as he rubbed at his chin, making him far more tired.
She fluttered her eyes at him. There were a few moments of silence. A problem that hadn't yet gotten to their detriment. There were a lot more problems with this.
He still loved the woman, but she did drive him up a wall. It had been odd, a lot odder than he wished to have gotten… But he still loved her more and more the more he considered such things. He didn't entirely focus on them, but they still lived entirely within a spot of his mind. It hadn't yet seemed to have gotten there.
He tilted his head at her, raising an eyebrow under his armor as he did so. It was such a problem. He hadn't yet found an answer while this had been all over. He didn't know how well the problem while it wasn't yet decided now would have been. It hadn't yet been anywhere near what he had wished to have done or wanted to have gotten this off the ground. It hadn't at all been prepared for the worst. He didn't know what she'd have been like, what would have happened for now when it came down to it. There was so much more when this was all said and done. There were a lot more problems that could have been done when it came down to it.
There was more to do as she tilted her head, clicking her fangs out of her mouth as she looked at him, smiling as she tilted her head. There were a few smirks from her.
"Sweetie, can you not wear the metal death mask inside the hotel? Please?" Mavis asked as Lennix sighed.
"I thought you liked the Horror Helm? I always wear this thing when it's light out so I don't burn. I thought you'd be wearing something like it so you don't get set on fire when it's all said and done." Mavis heard as Lennix raised his eyebrow.
He hummed before she leaned on him while playfully mashing her fangs at his neck while he rolled his crimson eyes.
"I thought you said you don't drink blood," Lennix said as she smirked.
"Might eat some of you if you don't take off your mask, sweetie. I like seeing your face… Side your buddy told me why you wore the mask… Mr. Prince who fought an invasion of Golems." Mavis said while she playfully nuzzled his nose.
"I don't know if it was that long for a bunch of vampires like us," Lennix said while he rubbed at his temples before he clicked as of the time.
There was only got this all over and over and over. It was so odd; this hadn't yet gotten where it was a lot worse and worse and worse. There was too much for him to ignore her hugging him, smirking as she did so. They hadn't a lot more to have problems when it comes down to it. He finally did so, taking his helmet off his face and letting her kiss him playfully.
"I love you, Len," Mavis said while Lennix chuckled, smirking at her as he did so.
"Love you too, Mav. I just hope your dad doesn't try to cut off my head… It's odd, I don't know what it's like, but I do know I'm not the bad guy like he seems to think I am." Lennix said while he rolled his head before he glanced up at the ceiling.
There was a lot more to this hotel than he considered while he looked around. There were a lot more problems with this. It didn't have gotten it before now.
He hadn't yet questioned what had been going on in time. He was only prolonging before now. There was a lot more to get onto the single idea
As of now? Well, she had to not panic, not watch it all comes down to it. There was a lot more to have been decided for now… He didn't know when this was odd for now. He had been down to it. He clicked his fingers together before he sighed to himself.
He didn't know what to have done, nor how this would have come down to it… Yes, all he knew for sure was that this was a horrible thing. It'd never have existed without proper focus.
"I'm starting to get a little tired of being out here when all of this is said and done." Mavis heard Lennix as he sighed and rubbed his temples. "I'm going to talk to your dad soon, maybe he'll have some ideas. I'd still be happier if he didn't try and cut my head off every single second of every single day." Mavis heard as she rolled her eyes and playfully tapped Lennix on the nose, making him find himself at an odd crossroads for a while. He still was pretty caring to Mavis which meant that only so many problems would happen.
"Len, dad doesn't hate anyone like that. It's just how things are for now. Trust me, if he wanted to hurt you? He'd already have done it for the time being." Mavis said while she sighed as she looked up at the ceiling. "He's just really overprotective to where it can get on people's nerves and all that," Mavis said to which Lennix sighed and shook his head.
He knew she was trying to cheer him up which was a lot more than he felt he should have done for now. it had made him too tired to have done for now.
"Today is going to be a very odd day, Mave. I don't know if it's going to be ok for now." Lennix said before he sighed and rubbed his temples. "We're going to have gotten somewhere bad sooner or later," Lennix stated before he sighed while he tilted his head.
It hurt to have so much on his plate, but it also hurt not to have much on this plate… If anything? Well, he'd not have anything to have done with such a problem. It's all go pear-shaped sooner or later. The sooner it was stopped? The sooner he managed to get somewhere it couldn't have bothered him.
Yes, if anything. He'd like to get out of here with something going on… Something had to have broken sooner or later which ensured that he managed to get it to all work properly… All he needed was a few sparks of chaos which would all need to have been properly gotten it all working well. All he needed was a few seconds to have properly broken the cycle.
He wanted to have broken the cycle sooner or later and this was getting in the way of it being broken. It'd have been hit or miss sometime soon. This was a problem for now. He seemed to have prepared for the nightmare when it seemed to be prepared for now. Yes, there was a lot more to have done for now. There were a lot more things to have done. This hadn't yet seemed to be prepared for it to have been done.
She tapped at his face, too sure of herself. This little thing seemed to have been prepped… He didn't know what she'd do. However? Mavis never seemed to have smiled for now. He smiled knowing more and more problems were coming, and more and more nightmares would possibly have come. They hadn't yet seemed to have gotten where they should have. Yes, this chaos wasn't over yet.
But he was beginning not to care as she rolled her eyes and poked at his face with a smirk because he should have laughed more, he wished to more and more.
"You're such a dork for a prince who had been promoted to a king sooner or later… You really will be going to be a dork later. I hope you know that as a king." Mavis said while Lennix rolled his eyes as the couple slowly started down the stairs, their eyes glancing over every single little bit of the room.
"Oy. This is so silly, so very silly, Mave. You're just going to drive me up a blasted wall." Lennix said before he rubbed at his temples. "There's a lot more to have done before today ends. I just hope you know that this is going to be weird." Lennix stated before he clicked his tongue against his fanged mouth.
"Well, I think it might be weirder the more time that goes on. Trust me. Something like this is going to drive me up a wall." Lennix said to which Mavis elbowed his side before he hummed.
"Well, there's a lot of things to change. You are going to have to relax." Lennix heard from Mavis and seemed to have prepared for now.
This seemed to have been a lot more of an odd thing… Something odd was on his mind. She giggled and nipped at his neck over and over which only paused and made him.
Lennix seemed to question what it was all over. This seemed to have been something else. He questioned what to do next as he smirked at his girlfriend, she was odd. However? This seemed to have been a smile for now.
"Mav? I'm going to have to see my mom later today when the sun sets or maybe noon." Lennix said before he clicked his tongue once more. "Are you going to be ok, Mave? I'll stay where I can stay for now." Lennix said as he clicked his tongue before he looked up at the roof.
"Are you sure you're going to be, ok?" Lennix heard as Mavis hummed and tilted her head.
"Yep. We're going to be ok for now… The odd little thing will pass. I'm just a little scared." Lennix said to which she tilted her head and looked around, there was a few seconds when it all was over. Yes, this could have done something nice for them… And it seemed to have prepared them for worse.
Lennix wasn't sure of what it'd have been. He didn't know what it could have been for now. There was more to this than there should have been.
"What's going to happen when we go on our next date? You going to geek out over the cameras?" Lennix questioned while he raised an eyebrow into the air and then brought his hands down.
Lennix only made it more and more amusing as she kicked him in the side, too amused as to how this would have been something fun for now.
"You're such a doofus," Mavis stated to which Lennix chuckled, amused by how this would have gone.
He rolled his eyes at her, there was something else he hadn't expected. This was a problematic endeavor for now. There were a few things he couldn't have expected for now. This was so nice and so odd that it felt as if it was overwhelming when it came down to it. There were so many problems on his mind that hadn't yet been solved, it was so terrifying and so annoying to him at the end of his mind. He hadn't yet prepared for it.
"I don't know, that's what scares me so much when it comes down to it. This place is a nightmare in the best possible way, but it won't last that much, not when it comes down to it." Mavis heard.
"You're so weird, Len. So weird when it comes down to it." Mavis said while she looked at her boyfriend who had fallen silent.
"Hey, you like that sort of charm." Mavis heard as she sighed and looked around.
"Maybe, but you're still a dork when it comes down to it," Lennix stated before she rubbed at her temples and smirked at him before she looked downwards.
"Doofus," Mavis stated to which Lennix fell silent, too amused at his antics when it was all over.
"Where are we going next anyway? We need to go somewhere to have gone for the date." Mavis said while she smiled to herself.
"Maybe we could go somewhere outside Europe," Lennix said as the duo slowly descended the stairs with amusement. "There are so many places we could have gone, maybe we could go somewhere outside the country? There's so much of the world we haven't seen… Or didn't you tell me a few years ago you went outside Europe?" Lennix questioned to which Mavis shrugged.
"Yeah, that was weird. I think I remember a lot of places that I hadn't gone to. I don't know." Mavis stated to which she hummed and looked around.
"Ok then, we're going to go explore the Earth as you suggested?" Lennix stated before he rubbed his temples and he sighed.
"Cool, I'll go have to talk to dad before then, though. He'd never let me go anywhere anytime soon." Mavis stated with a frown as she leaned on the wall and tapped on her shoes with her interest in something else.
She knew better than to mess with her boyfriend if she was doing much of anything. She loved him but it was clear that she had more on her mind before these little things when it came down to it.
They had something else to discuss, but their feelings? Those were set in stone as far as they thought about what to have done for the time being. They had more on their minds when it came down to it. Something more was to have been born from this, something nice and real. It was clear for now she'd have to let that come from what else may or may not have come next.
They had so much more to understand, to do… Yet? Mavis was confident she and Lennix could find some way to have made it work. It was clear they had more to see, to do.
Lennix kissed her on the cheek which made her smirk and then grab his cape and pull him in for a real kiss as both the vampires laughed after they parted, leaning their heads against one another.
"All right, no kissy face, that's not something allowed around me," Drac said as he floated by to which Lennix rolled his eyes.
"Hey, I only kissed her cheek, Drac… Anyway? I have to go talk to the others and make sure everything is ready for tonight." Lennix said before he looked at Mavis. "I'll talk later, My Nasty Nightmare," Lennix said before he transformed into a swarm of bats and flooded out of the room.
"Why is it I can't do the vampire bat thing? That doesn't make sense, it's not fair." Drac said to which Mavis smirked. "Your boyfriend is very weird, you know that? He uses a lot of words that I don't get." Drac stated to which he shook his head.
"He's been born in this century, dad. He's going to use nice words that we don't remember." Mavis said before she frowned. "He didn't tell me his mom was hurt, that worries me. Is he scared she's going to die soon?" Mavis asked to which Dracula hummed.
"Someone who's been turned into a vampire instead of being born as one? Well, things work out differently, sweetie." Drac stated before he frowned. "I was allowed to see her after you all left… Things look bad. It's going to be bad for a while, but maybe I might be able to fix it." Drac said before he shook his head.
He didn't at all know what his daughter's possible mother-in-law was like. It was really clear they had time against them, time they did not wish to have for the time being. They had more to have focused upon which meant he'd have to have worked quickly to have made something else happen when it seemed to have come down to it.
She didn't at all know what it should have been like. Mavis was aware her mother had died to humans but never grasped the concept of death. Monsters didn't die easily nor did they die with a whimper and yet Lennix had a mother wasting away and trying to not die in relative nature before now as of the time being and it was clear more or less an issue as of now when it was coming down to it.
She could do nothing at all to stop it. all the vampire magic in the world would not seem to even stop it, for now, there was a nature of interest as of now. It was worth a lot more of an interesting glance into.
She sighed and decided her boyfriend was going to need her more and more and while it was her father's wish? Traditions did not come before family all the time and seemed to slowly yet surely tumble down into the void. It was clear without a shadow of a doubt such a thing would only need to get focused upon.
Mavis lifted her phone to her face before she texted her father and then flew off to go find Lennix. The idea wasn't going to hold water to her father but she was dead set on trying to relax and yet it was clear more and more these issues would persist.
'What's going to happen when she dies? Lennix is going to BREAK when that happens, is he? I shouldn't have asked about his family but on the other hand? He's as much family as I am to dad, maybe dad can help bring her back?' Mavis mused to herself as she questioned what needed to be said and done.
It was as this happened that she was reminded of how little she knew of vampire magic. Lennix spoke of his mother as if something terrible had happened but she saw nothing but the face of a woman who was to be dying of old age.
Mavis was also not stupid; vampires were immortal in the sense they did not age as humans did and they could die to methods outside of aging… Though his mother had fangs and Mavis knew vampires still COULD turn people into other vampires given their powers.
Yet? Well, it was frowned upon as there were side effects and it always ended with side effects as to now. She simply did not know them the same way her father and Lennix did.
Speaking of which? She found Johnny with Lennix as the prince conversed with the human, his helm tucked under his arm as he blinked upon noticing her. He blinked, his crimson irises raising in confusion as if he did not expect her to come to him so soon. She remembered that look the time she sat on his lap and watched the next sunset with him.
"Mav, you, ok?" Lennix asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"We need to talk if that's ok," Mavis said, her feet finding the ground a few seconds later.
"About? We were just talking a few seconds ago; did you need something at the moment or were you just dropping in to try and talk? Because I can relax if you want and tell your dad to need to relax at the end of the day." Lennix stated before he clicked his fangs together, eager to try and get some relaxation from it all over and over again.
He was confused by her antics. She was usually not this peppy… Not THIS peppy at least and usually if she was this rattled? It was for a good reason, not one he could simply forgive. There was a lot to unpack at the end of the day and yet he was tired, worn down by the antics and conferences he had to endure as the new king of the vampires. It was still something he'd rather enjoy such a thing at the moment.
The idea he'd become king of an entire species was something the young prince was still dealing with and it was going to be a very long time before he managed to get to relax.
Still? He took her hands as if she'd collapse without him nearby. It was still something he could relax about at the end of the day and there was a lot more to take part in.
She smiled at her boyfriend as if remembering it and trying to help her as if he'd help anyone. It was just more and more to try and focus upon but something he'd gladly do if it was allowed.
He was a lot more focused on this than he should have been at this point, though. He was tired, and utterly amused at the end of the day. Mavis smiled, her fangs bared from under her lips as the two vampires grew tired and smirked at each other.
"It's important, I was just bringing it up. You ok enough to talk or have you got something else with dad you need me to wait on?" Mavis asked before Lennix fell silent and hummed, tapping on his mask before slowly starting to respond a few seconds later.
Mavis sighed and smirked before laying her head against his. it was clear they were close enough that it didn't matter if secrets existed. She trusted him and he trusted her as much as he could attempt to do so at the end of the day. It was just more and more.
"I can try but I will be honest, I don't know I can just relax and let it die out…. Your mom is sick and you didn't want to tell me anything or anyone." Mavis stated as she crossed her arms and legs across her chest.
He sighed to himself as he slowly turned, leaning on the wall. Lennix turned a few seconds later.
"Because I didn't think she'd live to see me get anywhere in life, Mav. I've been so angry and so worn down by everything that it's been driving me crazy again and again at the moment." Lennix said as he sighed, running a hand over his temples, utterly saddened by it all.
Drac who had been standing off to the side, utterly unsure of what to say, simply looked between the two vampires as he knew what it was like. It wasn't like he could just ignore it all, it wasn't like it was just a hard little memory.
"There's nothing they can do about it?" Drac said before Lennix looked over at her.
"I don't know… I do want you to know that is a very sore topic just like what happened to your family. I'm not mad just very uncomfortable with it all, her health has been in decline since I was the human age… By the time I was only a few years younger than now? Her health has been falling apart more and more, it's a lot harder to make peace with than you think." Lennix said as Mavis hummed.
"There's always something we can do, Len. Giving up means losing someone we care about and that's the last thing anyone wants to deal with," Mavis said as Lennix hummed.
"Then unless she gets better? please leave your plans out of me, I've given myself false hope a far large number of times than before now. The more times I try? The harder it feels when I fail." Lennix stated before he hummed to himself.
"Then are you going to be utterly ok with it all?" Drac asked as Lennix hummed.
"I do not know. Life is odd, Drac. I'm just happy to be able to help and be around Mavis. It's better than sitting around the castle before waiting to see if she's going to die or something similar. It's not as odd as you think but It's a very horrid thing to go through." Lennix said before he rubbed at his temples, utterly unsure of what to say or do at the moment.
There was just too much for the vampire to take in and he knew that, he knew it all too well. Mavis leaned on her boyfriend's arm as the vampire glanced at her, happy to have the company of a woman who didn't act like he was a waste, who cared enough to be there.
He still returned his thoughts to the doubts his mother could be healed. Modern attempts to heal her went nowhere and it was clear more or less within seconds of it all… Yes, such features became more or less clear with time and effort to him.
Still? If they could do something? He would not stand in the way of it, not when there was a chance to do better… To be better than what he had been before and right the wrongs that constantly need to be fixed.
It became obvious to him that words would not solve it though and he knew that better than anyone at the end of the day, better than himself at any rate.
Lennix still did not like the what ifs and what it might be a problem at the end of the day, all too unsure and uncertain of what to try and deal with next, all too eager to see it end sometime soon, all too much of a choice at the end of such problems.
Lennix looked at Mavis who was too busy glancing over at Drac who was bothered, only slightly worn down by all such issues, utterly exhausted by the lack of ideas and what had to come next.
Lennix simply sighed and looked around the room before he seemed to be utterly tired, worn down by it all, and eager to leave the room. The vampire said nothing, simply deciding to try and understand what came next.
"Are you going to be, ok? We need to get going soon, there's a lot more to try and figure out. We have a lot more to figure out." Lennix said before he looked down at Mavis.
"Just being comfy, your living nightmare," Mavis said, snuggling against Lennix's side.
"Oy, you two are too lovely dove for your good. I don't even want to think about it." Dracula stated before he turned and started to leave.
Lennix rolled his eyes as he looked at the vampire lord and was far more amused by such antics, something that he had to deal with a lot more constantly. It was clear more and more such antics that he'd continue to grow further and further at the end of the day. it was just harder and harder to figure out, something that he didn't at all know.
Lennix knew such things were expected of him as they were always. He didn't at all know what to say and do with it all and he knew it.
"You know in monster movies? He's seen as the king of vampires and monsters… Well, Vampires at least. Monsters were kind of taken by a giant lizard the size of a mountain." Lennix said as Mavis hummed and tilted her head to the side, utterly amused by the antics imposed upon them.
Mavis snorted and simply leaned on her boyfriend as she seemed to be able to relax, unsure and uncertain of what to say and do next. It was clear to her that her boyfriend would continue to be silly today as with everything.
She didn't know if he was telling the truth or not but she could tell that it was something that could and would be able to figure out such moments. She prodded her boyfriend playfully as any girlfriend would.
Even then? She was curious about what the outside world would hold. Especially considering her father had been trying his best to crush down any attempts for her to leave. It truly seemed odd that she was capable of dealing with these issues with more and more tact.
Well? It was far more to try and figure all of it came down to it. She knew more and more that her boyfriend was much more aware of certain things that weren't pushed into place at all, they needed to be true, and they did… If not? Well, someone could get hurt and that was a nightmarish thing none of them wanted.
None of them wanted it nor would they back down from trying. It just wasn't going to work out for the best, not now… Not ever. Nothing would stop them, not anything they couldn't stop or address.
What he did do next? He needed to fight. He would fight over and over as of now, a desire to try and think of what else he could do for now… What he didn't know was what would need to be done.
"Are you ok? You look like you're going to scream… Mostly my head… off my shoulders." Lennix said as Mavis elbowed her boyfriend in the side.
"Mainly because you didn't want to tell me you had an ill mother? Your mother is ill and you didn't want to tell me? Why? Why didn't you want to tell me…?" Mavis asked before Lennix hummed to try.
"Because my family is a very horrible and touchy subject," Lennix said before he shook his head. "If your father finds mine? I'd request you'd kill him… He's a very bad vampire, a VERY bad vampire like the ones people think we're like." Lennix said as Mavis frowned.
She knew very well there were evil vampires, ones who could and would use their powers to elicit some sort of response from it.
She knew also well and well that their kind weren't all saints and they would not go unnoticed for now, a desire to be able to relax… To think, to know more and more they weren't at all alone.
They had their laws to punish them all for their crimes, one could not harm or kill humans without retribution or reparation. Always would there be scars and marks for their crimes and they could not at all hope to escape this sort of treatment?
She leaned on her boyfriend, telling him that she supported him even if she didn't know or understand what he had been through.
There would be a part of her ready to scream and break but it wouldn't be for lack of trying but for the fact she knew more and more that something that had to be handled.
She cupped his chin as she slowly started to look downwards at the ground, unsure and uncertain of what she'd do next before now. She was capable of something more and more.
Lennix was entirely focused on what needed to be done for the moment.
