Total Drama Grand Prix Update 6
Margaret and Kit are standing on the stage for Grand Prix and Margaret starts with, "Welcome back to Total Drama Grand Prix. We have got another brand new update for you all…thankfully."
Kit wonders something, "So, Margaret, the reason we couldn't start this is December was?"
"I don't want to talk about it." Margaret replies.
"But…"
"I SAID I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!" Margaret shouts to interrupt Kit, and Margaret takes a few deep breaths and says, "Can we please just get this update over with?"
"Okay." Kit says nervously, "I'm sorry I brought up some bad memories."
"It's fine." Margaret replies, "But with that out of the way, let's meet our next four racers."
The first racer that shows up is a short and petite American Korean girl with short black hair and opaque circle-shaped eyes. She's wearing a red camo muscle shirt and black shorts. With sports tape on her wrists, but no footwear of any kind. Margaret then begins, "Our first race for this update is a Rose Lord, a blind woman who has a history of cage fighting.
"Wait! She's blind? Kit asks, feeling very nervous about this, "And we're letting her in a show about cars and driving them?"
"Who cares?" Margaret shrugs, "She put in an application and she's a blind cage fighter. I wouldn't mind bringing her here just to go a few matches. Oh, and it says here she wants to compete in the Exploration cup."
Kit just sighs and asks, "Again, we're letting a blind woman compete in this? I can already see the lawsuits coming."
The screen transitions to Rose's vehicle for the Prix, a red scooter with a mounted nerf gun and modded with off road wheels and a small electric engine powered fan. Margaret then says, Her vehicle is…a red scooter with a…nerf gun on top and…a…small…fan?"
Kit just slaps their head and says, "Okay Margaret, for real, how bad do we need contestants?"
"Bad enough that I'm considering sending in my own crew to fill in the remaining spots." Margaret admits with her hat covering her face and tears rolling down silently from her cheeks. Kit was going to comfort her when Margaret put her hand up to warn Kit to keep their distance, She then puts her hat back up and continues, "But I'm going to start this season, Kit. One way or the other.
Kit stares at Margaret for a few seconds, and sighs and says, "Alright. At the very least, Rose's vehicle is good for turning and control, so she may do well in some of the environments of the cup she wants to compete in. Though, I don't think she'll last anywhere else."
Margaret then says, "We'll let her in and have her fifteen minutes. Hell, maybe even longer if she gets lucky."
The screen transitions to the next racer, An older lady with a surprising hourglass figure with porcelain white skin, black hair tied up in a bun, and purple cat-shaped eyes with a mole under her left eye. She's wearing tight white dress with high heels in the same color, sunglasses, and a head scarf. Margaret then introduces her, "Our next racer is an Elizabeth Sullivan. Apparently, some old bag who was a former star back in the states.
"Doesn't have a bad figure though." Kit chimes in and admits.
Margaret just shrugs and says, "She probably had a lot of work done over the years. Not to mention that she's a diva. Probably someone the audience may love to hate."
"Well, why don't we find out for sure?" Kit suggests with Margaret raising her eyebrow, "Heather is down at the garage as we speak, and Elizabeth is there now giving some check ups on her car. Heather if you please."
The screen transitions to Heather wearing the same flag girl outfit Bridgette wore when she gave an interview and says, "Thanks loser. I swear, why do I have to give my fame to these dweebs?"
"Probably because you never give any of your fans the time of day. Sweetheart." Elizabeth replies from behind Heather, shocking her.
Heather recovers from this and shouts, "Well at least I'll have plenty of time to make new ones. Unlike you."
Elizabeth rolls her eyes and replies, "Oh wow. The age crack. Real original." Elizabeth then moves closer to Heather and says, listen amateur, you only got famous for being noticeable in some backwater TV show. I put my heart and soul on the screen, and it paid off so well that I still have enough money to cover my life even after leaving that life ten years ago. And you think you can outshine me because of my age? HA! Darling, I'm a star that everyone sees and adores. You're a sideshow act that people will only take one look at then move on to whatever gross act comes after."
Heather stares in shock at the gall of this former star, and while she looks like she's about to charge at Elizabeth, she then sees an unknown man wearing a black suit, tie, and sunglasses watching her every move, so Heather calms down a bit and just angrily yells, "Just show us you stupid car already!"
Elizabeth sighs at the rudeness but decides to humor her and show off her car. A scarlet SUV. Elizabeth then says, "My car a Custom Rolls Royce Cullinan. It's nitro-adapted, has 4-wheel steering, and is well-insulated. Once this car gets going, it will not only will it leave all other racers in the dust but will also crush them all in a heap first."
Heather looks at the car and smirks, "Sounds like you're going senile if you think this big hunk of junk is going to get you the win. Especially when you said you're competing in the Famous Cup, I.e. the kind of cup that will work against your SUV."
"Maybe you're older than I thought." Heather again stares at Elizabeth in shock while she continues, "You forgotten that the tracks introduced so far for the Famous Cup all have an out of bounds and easy ways to knock people off those tracks. No child, this is the perfect car for me and it's best for you not to underestimate it. Or me for that matter. Now. Are you done or are you just going to show how out of league you are on the world stage yet again?"
Knowing that the guard is still watching her, Heather just growls and says, "Back to you Kit!"
The screen goes back to Kit and Margaret, both of which look surprised about what they just heard, "Thanks…Heather.?" Kit replies with hesitation.
"Well, I'll be damned." Margaret says in intrigue. "Looks like that old cat still has her claws."
Kit then asks, "What do you think, potential fan-favorite?"
"Too early to tell, but she's on the right track." Margaret admits, "But anyway, let's move on to our next racer."
The screen changes to the third racer, another female racer who looks to be almost six feet tall with a thin frame and c-cups. She has brown hair that's long and wavy, and round-shaped pale green eyes. She's wearing a white t-shirt underneath a dark blue fleece jacket with stonewashed black jeans and white sports shoes. She also has a pair of black headphones around her neck and a white Adidas cap on her head. Margaret then continues, "Our next racer is Kimberly Grimes, a game streamer from the States. Also seems to be a bit of a dork based on her application."
"It hardly matters here." Kit says, "Most of those kind of interactions are going to be overshadowed by the excitement on the races and demolitions."
"Let's hope so Kit. Let's hope so." Margaret replies.
The screen transitions to Kimberly's vehicle, a pink and white 1969 Benelli 350 motorcycle that has the logo of her YouTube channel on the front and side along with a checkered flag pattern going in a straight line at the bottom of the side of the vehicle. Margaret then says, "Kimberly will be driving a 1969 Benelli. A motorcycle that honestly looks more like a tricycle if you ask me."
"Did we?" Kit asks.
"Shut up." Margaret says as she points to Kit in annoyance, and Kit steps back. "Anyway, despite it looks, the Benelli is one fast bike and is more durable than it appears. But it lacks control and steering."
"And despite having those weaknesses…" Kit says, "…She's planning to compete in the Famous Cup, and even lists it as the best cup for her."
Margaret shrugs at this and says, "Hey. It just mean more suckers that are going to crash and burn in the game, and more excitement for us. But now that I think about it, there's now only one spot left till the Famous Cup is complete."
Kit looks over the applications again and realizes that Margaret is right, "You're right, and if I remember correctly, the last one for the evening is also a Famous Cup applicant, you want to hold off?"
"HELL NO!" Margaret yells, "I've already done way too much of that already. Besides, if we make some tweaks to the roster, we might be able to get at least one cup started this year."
"That's depressing." Kit says,
"Am I wrong?" Margaret deadpans.\
"…Carry on." Kit relents and the screen does another transition. The last racer of the update is twenty-one-year-old man with a Breton skin tone and a slender and athletic body build. He has medium-length dark auburn unkempt spiky hair with a single braid on the left side of his head, and he has a scruffy stubble. His eyes are almond-shaped and dark blue. The racer is wearing a dark red long sleeve dress shirt with popped up collars and rolled sleeves. He also wearing a black denim short, ripped jeans with chains & ropes hanging by the side. He wears a black and dark red cycling shoes. lastly has yellow tinted cycling sunglasses on the top of his head and a silver cheetah necklace around his neck. Margaret then introduces the final racer of the night, "Last but not least is Aloysius Auclair, or 'Al' for short. Take notes Alejandro and learn to take a nickname."
Kit then looks at the application and says, "Says here he's known as the Cheetah of France for being the fastest cyclist. And now that I'm looking at his application, I think he's the twin brother of another contestant Beau."
"Wait." Margaret says, "So we have a chance of a possible brother versus brother scenario?"
"If Al moves to the Speed Cup or both of them advance to the finals, yes." Kit answers and then sees that Margaret has stars in her eyes.
"We have to make sure this happens Kit. Think of the excitement, the adrenaline This could put us ahead of Chris and I can rub it in his stupid old face" Margaret says.
Kit then says, "I agree. But let's wait till we get the rest of the competition before we try rigging the game alright."
Margaret pout like a child and says, "Why did I pick a spoilsport like you as my cohost?"
"Moving on." Kit say in an excited tone as they ignore Margaret and the screen transitions to Al's vehicle, a dark auburn with black trims Boardman SLR 8.9 road bike that has been modified into a Electric Road Bike. it an TQ HPR 120s, and Drum brakes. Kit then excitedly says, "Al's vehicle is a Boardman SLR 8.9 that been modified to an Electric Road Bike. It contains an TQ HPR 120s, one of the most powerful motors for bikes and carries a Torque of 120Nn. Meaning, that the motor is very durable and won't get in the way of the bike. Also added drum brakes for the sake of the competition."
Margaret then stares at Kit and says, "So, it's a bicycle that has a motor to keep up with cars?"
"Pretty much." Kit's says as their demeanor deflates into disappointment. "Al wanted to go with his specialty since he is a world-renowned cyclist. Though I'll admit that, he may be overwhelmed by the competition because of this."
"So, he's a cyclist and his brother's a drag racer. Quite a family we have here." Margaret says.
"But they fit in with all of the other contestants we accepted." Kit says,
"True that." Margaret agrees, "But now it's time for the intro of the next set of tracks for our Grand Prix. And here they are.
The first shows to be a coliseum where a bunch of people wearing togas are watching several seats in the stands and several cars are in the arena hitting each other while the spectators are throwing food a them. Margaret says, "I'm just a fan of the classics, which is why our 3rd Survival course track is the Roman Coliseum. A stadium updated and modified thanks to our lovely Dream Catcher. This Coliseum is as close as to a straight up slugfest were going to get. But don't think this course is hiding surprises with several trap doors, breakable walls, and plenty of angry spectators, you'll need a cool head and good reflexes to survive here."
Another transition comes and shows a giant prison building where several cars are driving away from police cars and are also being followed by helicopters. Margaret continues, "But if you prefer the 'flight' response, then Prison Escape is the track for you. You'll be trying to drive out of the city while several cops are on your tail. Expect to see helicopters, roadblocks, and plenty of car crashes. You have to think as fast as your car if you want any chance of avoiding the cops and completing this track.
The screen transitions back to Kit and Margaret with Kit saying, "That's all the time we have for this update."
Margaret then interrupts them and says, "So, be back next time to who else makes it on…"
Kit says, "Total…"
Margaret says, "Drama…"
Both of them say, "Grand Prix!"

Author's Notes
Hey everyone. Been a while since I was able to update this. First off, I like to thank everyone who has put in an application for Grand Prix so far. I know that this is taking long to update, and believe me, I think so too. But I needed to wait for four applications to come in before I could update. And…that alone took two and a half months. Two and a half months for four applications. For a story that's been accepting applications since October of last year. If I sound like I'm blaming any of you, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to blame anyone. I'm just frustrated at how long this application process is actually going. Clearly, something needs to change if this is going to start. So, to all of those who sent in an application or even thinking of sending in an application. I want to ask all of you what you want me to change. Because my current ideas are:
1. Put in several of my OCs to fill in some of the gaps.
2. Take out the rule about cars moving on the next Cup and just have eight cars compete for each cup.
3. Since it now has a full roster, have Famous Cup be the first Cup while moving several from the other Cups for a full Cup, then have that one Compete while waiting for applications for the rest.
