Ch 21 Things Come to An End

The group all exchanged looks of both concern and worry as Kopa crumpled to the ground. "What the Hell just happened?" Nuka wondered as he began to limp over to Kopa's fallen form. But Kiara quickly ran in front of her love and ran to her brother.

"Kopa?" the golden brown lioness whispered as she gently shook her unconscious brother.

"Be careful Ki'," Nuka said, stepping beside his soon to be mate. "He could attack you."

"I really don't care right now Nuka," Kiara snapped. "He's my brother and I won't..." But she was interrupted by Jasiri letting out a low groan. The group quickly ran towards the rusty brown lioness who was struggling to open her eyes.

"Jasiri dear can you hear us?" Zira said softly.

"C'mon 'Siri open your eyes," Vitani said gently. Jasiri let out another groan and slowly opened her eyes and looked at her concerned friends with confusion.

"What," Jasiri managed to get out. "What happened?"

"You don't remember?" Vitani asked with concern. Jasiri closed her eyes and slowly shook her head.

"Everything's a blur," she said softly. "I..." But just then her eyes rolled back in her head and she passed out again.

"We need to get her back to Pride Rock," Simba said.

"We need to get Kopa back too," Kiara declared.

"Not happening," Zira said with a slight growl. "He's far to dangerous to bring back to Pride Rock."

"Yeah I agree," Vitani said. "There's no way in Hell that..." But the Princess was interrupted by Tama clearing her throat.

"Forgive me," the tan coated lioness said, dipping her head to show submission. But I feel like you should know that my Pride and allies have surrendered."

"We await your final judgement," Sharka said as she too dipped her head.

"Now is not the time or place for that," Simba said, glaring at the two lionesses. "We'll bring you two back to Pride Rock along with Kopa."

"Simba!" Zira cried out, the outrage clear in her voice. "You can't..."

"I can Zira," Simba interrupted. "And that's what I'm going to do. Once we meet back up with the rest of our Pride they'll guard Tama and Sharka closely while Rafiki examines Kopa and Jasiri.

"But Simba," Zira began once again.

"Zira I understand your concern," Simba said. "And trust me I'll be on my guard when it comes to him."

"Daddy," Vitani began.

"Vitani would you please go get Rafiki and tell him what's happened?" Simba asked. "We'll discuss this later I promise."

"Fine," Vitani growled, clearly unhappy with the situation. "But this isn't over." With that the tan coated lioness went to get Rafiki while the others went to get Kopa and Jasiri back to Pride Rock.

A little while later the group was back at Pride Rock and had gotten Kopa and Jasiri settled. Simba was explaining to his Pride what the situation was with Tama and Sharka and the other lionesses agreed to help their King. Tama and Sharka were placed in a smaller cave and a rock was placed in front of it. Two lionesses were placed in the entrance to make sure Tama and Sharka didn't try to escape. By now the group was reunited with Kovu and Asha and they were filling them in while Rafiki examined Kopa and Jasiri. "I should be by Kopa's side," Asha declared. "But..." the golden lioness looked at Kovu when she said this part.

"Go be with him Mom," Kovu said with a smile.

"Thank you honey," Asha said, smiling at her son as she stood. After giving Kovu a nuzzle Asha went to be by Kovu's side.

"I can't believe she did that," Safara muttered growling slightly.

"Ugh Saf' please don't tell me you're still going on about how terrible Kopa is," Kovu said, rolling his green eyes slightly.

"And I can't believe you don't think that too Kovu!" Safara cried out.

"Safara now's not the time or the place for this discussion," Kiara hissed.

"Yes I must agree," Simba chimed in. "This is the sick cave. Its not the place for arguments."

"I'm sorry King Simba," Safara said, lowering her blue eyes in shame.

"Its alright Safara," Simba said with a smile. "And we will have a serious conversation about Kopa. Just not right now alright?" Safara nodded and sat down beside Kovu and waited on news about Jasiri and Kopa with the others.

After what seamed like ages Rafiki was finished examining Jasiri and Kopa and the old mandrill was sharing his findings with Simba and the rest of the group. "Young Jasiri will be alright," Rafiki informed the group, earning collective sighs of relief from the group. "She has a vedy serious injury to her head," Rafiki continued. "And der is some slight swelling to her brain. But she was alert fer a brief moment. But a de current moment she is unconscious. But I have no doubt dat she will make a full recovery."

"Well that's a relief," Kiara said with a sigh. "But what about Kopa?"

"Yeah pleas tell us he's going to be alright too," Kovu chimed in."

"Ah yes young Kopa is anoder matter," Rafiki said. "He is still unconscious but when I examined his I could not find any reason fer dis. Aside from some scratches and bruises he is completely unharmed. I feel dat what is going on wit him is mental. Most likely due to him being possessed wit Kion's evil soul."

"Wait you believe that Kopa was possessed?" Safara cried out, unable to hide the surprise in her voice.

"Yes young one I do," Rafiki said with a nod. "I have felt de evil spirits at work but I could not determine where dey were working. Den when Kopa came to me a few weeks ago I began to put de pieces together."

"I just hope that Kion is gone now," Nuka muttered. The rest of the group nodded in agreement. All except for Safara. The tan lioness just quietly left the rest of the group and walked over the where Kopa was laying with Asha right beside him.

"Um Asha would you mind if I sat with Kopa for a bit?" Safara asked.

"Of course not dear," Asha said with a smile as she stood. Asha gave Kopa a nuzzle saying, "I'll be back sweetie. Safara is here to sit with you. I love you." With that Asha walked away, leaving Safara alone with Kopa. Safara lowered herself beside Kopa and put her mouth right next to his ear.

"Look Kopa I don't know if you can hear me or not," Safara began. "But I really hope you can. I...I'm sorry for misjudging you. I...I just have a hard time believing all this possession stuff. But Rafiki and King Simba seam to believe it and after all the strange shit I saw I'm beginning to think they're right. I just hope you managed to send Kion back to Hell where he belongs. But I guess we'll find out as soon as you wake up. But try not to take to long doing that alright? Cause we all really miss the old you." Safara bent down to nuzzled Kopa but before she could he let out a low groan. "Kopa?" Safara said, raising her head. "Kopa can you hear me?" Just then Kopa let out another groan. By now Simba, Nuka, Chafu, Kiara, and Vitani were there.

"What's going on?" Kiara asked.

"I think Kopa's waking up," Safara informed her friend. Kopa let out another groan and slowly opened his eye and stared at the ground.

"Kopa?" Kiara began. "Is that you?" Kopa blinked at his sister and closed his eyes and shook his head. Then suddenly Kopa's eyes flew opened and he let out a low growl, causing the group to jump in surprise. Then Kopa opened his mouth to speak.
