Fred ran his hand tiredly through his shaggy hair as he sat beside Hermione's bed. He'd been sat in the same position for the past twelve hours watching over the unconscious girl worriedly.

"Any change," George asked from the doorway of the small room.

"She's moved a few times but hasn't awoken yet," he told his twin.

"She needs help Freddie, since Harry and Ron left, she's been on a downward spiral," George told him.

"I know, I don't want to think about what would have happened if Malfoy hadn't found her last night," Fred confessed.

"I'd be dead," a groggy voice whispered from the bed.

"How are you feeling," Fred asked gently, taking her hand in his.

"Like an idiot," Hermione told him.

"You have the biggest brain I know, it's impossible for you to be an idiot," he told her.

"Fred I was stupid, I was drunk in Knockturn Alley, I knew it was dangerous, but I was there anyway," she told him.

"Why did you go there," he asked quietly settling down on the side of the bed next the young woman.

"Everyone I love leaves and it was my birthday, I couldn't cope with the silence at home, with the memories, I was an idiot," she told him.

"Not everyone is gone. Mi, you still have us, the family, your friends," he told her, Hermione smiled sadly at him her eyes watering.

"I do but I don't have my parents or Harry and Ron, I feel so lonely, and my house reminds me if my parents which makes me constantly sad," she told him, her tears increasing until the petite woman was sobbing against his chest. Fred wrapped his arms tightly around her and rested his head atop of hers as she cried in his arms.

"Move in with us," he told her when she stopped crying.

"I can't do that Fred, you don't want me in your Batcheler pad," she told him.

"Of course, you can, we'd love to have you here," George told her sitting down on the other side of the bed.

"You don't owe me anything, you feel compelled to help because I saved you," she told him looking up at him through her dark lashes.

"That is bullshit and you know it. I'm thankful you saved me during the final battle, but I don't feel compelled to help you because of that Mi. You are my friend, family, even if you hadn't saved me and someone else had I'd still be trying to help you because that's what friends do," he told her passionately.

"Okay, I'll move in," she whispered, and Fred smiled.
