His eyes opened.

"That didn't help much at all," he muttered. Although it was nice to look back at some of his best work, it wasn't the whole history either. Turning Sukuna against the Tooru family has to be in his top five accomplishments.

But why did he see that?

"I was mainly trying to focus on the Toorus, yet it shifted to Sukuna… perhaps my mediation was telling me to believe my thoughts. He's returned and yet… it's too quite for that to be remotely true…"

He knows there is something going on, an event has happened that not even he was aware of. But how could this all be? How could ONE Tooru make a difference…

But then, he started to remember something else.

The knockoff as the council called, the clone of Sukuna who answered to the name of Suiryu. This one was just as much of a pain to deal with as the Tooru family! He thinks…

Wait…

He paused to consider something rather unpleasant in his mind. The reason why this Suiryu clone bothered him so much. He spoke, acted and even fought like Sukuna when he took over his vessel, and yet, the way he speaks now, how he fights, thinks and assists those around him… it's just like a Tooru…

Suiryu IS Sukuna had he been raised a Tooru through and through! But, how could it be? If the knock off is like the original, shouldn't too much curse energy hinder him? Wouldn't he be unstable from it all?

Then he recalled the fang necklace he wore.

That fang necklace was wanted by another too.

"Ryōte kiki…"

It was a while since he thought of him, let alone spoke his name. Out of all the members of Sukuna's legion, this one had the opportunity to be on par with him.

In fact, the last time he saw him was after when Yua died.

They met in a private booth at a café.

Kenjaku, saw him coming and Kiki was quick to spot him as well. When he took his seat, Kenjaku was quick to lecture him.

"You got sloppy" he decreed. "You killed every member of your clan but one. How are you going to answer for that?"

"Tch, what does it matter? I know I messed up, at the same time. There are other ways of bringing Sukuna back." He said in a defiant tone. "Besides, I don't need a bodiless bastard like you telling me I messed up… you did so as well."

Kenjaku paused. "I don't believe I was the one tasked to taking out the clan, nor was I asked to clean up after you…"

"No one asked for your opinion. What does it matter anyways? I said before, despite the fingers being gone, the master can still return through other methods. I did not waste a thousand years merely considering there could be drawbacks when master awakens again."

He must admit, Kiki got him there.

"It matters not, so, now that the last Tooru is dead, Sukuna is gone… I plan on obtaining his vessel for myself."

Ryōte froze.

"Who gives you the right to claim what once belonged to the master?" he demanded of him. "When he returns, master will need a vessel. The one he had was good, but too strong…"

"I did make him that." Kenjaku protested. "It took over nine months, but I made that vessel!"

Ryōte smirked. "Yeah, you did, tell me, do you prefer to take it or dish it?"

"Ugh, such vulgarly from you… As the expression goes and since I have been both, a lady doesn't ask and a gentlemen doesn't tell."

A sneer came over the bastard Tooru. "Fine, if you do obtain the master's former vessel, I want the necklace that belonged to my descendent."

This… caught him off guard.

"A necklace? The one with the fang, claiming it is from a dragon?" he asked offhandedly.

Come to think of it, when he did see the Toorus, there was usually one woman wearing such a necklace, but they kept hidden and out of sight. They weren't even on the battlefield when it came to the main fight…

"What is so special about this necklace?" he asked curiously.

Ryōte smirked a little. "Not even the great Kenjaku knows?" he whispered and bore a devious grin. "What you know of my family, what has been claimed about my family and their connection to a dragon? It's no lie!"

This… became interesting.

In fact this was how the jujutsu society believed the Toorus were far more insane than the run of the mill ones. They had made claims before about their clan being protected my a dragon, but they never sought to prove it. Had they, no doubt they would be ruling all sorcerers with an iron fist.

But, if that is true, why aren't they?

"Why not use the dragon to their benefit?" Kenjaku questioned. "If it truly existed, why not reveal it to the world, and take command of all sorcerers with such power?"

Ryōte sneered. "Not even I know the answer to that. All I know is that fang… belongs to me now. And I want it. So, for argument sake and for that of peace between us. I will permit you to obtain master's former vessel. In return, the dragon fang belongs to me."

Kenjaku considered the notion, after all, what is so important about this fang?

"Very well then, I will give you the fang in exchange of allowing me to obtain Sukuna's former shell." He decreed.

"But ONLY if I have the fang, if you do not give it to me, I will refuse to allow you to obtain what belonged to my master!"

"Yes, yes, such formalities." They put a binding vow on it.

"I wonder why he wanted that fang so desperately?"

Kenjaku paused and reminisced on the memory, but that would be wasting time. He opted to move forward with his plan, and find a way to eliminate Yua Tooru once and for all!
