It begins with Lucy and Fangs returning home from their nightly walk. Lucy and Fangs walk home at night and enter the house with lightning flashing for their entrance.

"I so enjoy our nightly strolls, Fangs," Lucy said contently.

Fangs agreed with a squeak.

J.D., Varie, Lily, and Laney are sitting on the couch, reading books.

Laney raised her head from her book to greet Lucy. "Oh, hello, Lucy."

Lucy greeted everyone. "Hello, Laney, J.D., Varie, Lily."

"Did you have a nice walk?" J.D. asked her.

Lucy nodded. "Yes. It was quite enjoyable. Was there anything that happened while we were gone?"

Laney paused for a moment before responding. "You could say that. Don't go into the bathroom."

Lucy cocked her head, perplexed. "Why would I do that?"

Leni yelled from upstairs. "Guys, this looks so good!"

Lori agreed. "We should literally be interior designers!"

Varie frowned. "You'll find out when you see it."

Fangs flew away when Lucy went upstairs to see what they were talking about and discovered her siblings painting the bathroom pink.

Lucy greeted them. "Hey, guys." Her siblings gasped in surprise at her appearance. "Why are you painting the bathroom in my least favorite color?"

Lynn rolled her eyes at the question. "Uh, duh! We all voted on it at the sibling meeting, remember?"

Flashback to the meeting

J.D., Varie, and the other siblings, except Lucy, have gathered in the garage for a meeting.

"So, based on the paint left over in the garage, our options are pink..." Lori giggles. "...or black. All in favor of pink?"

Lincoln, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lana, Lola, and Lisa raise their hands. "AYE!"

"All oppose?" Lori inquired.

J.D., Varie, Laney, and Lily raised their hands. "Nay!"

"It's unanimous," Lori squealed. "Pink it is!"

End flashback

Lucy let out a sigh. "Sigh. Well, I wasn't there. But of course, as usual, no one noticed."

J.D., Varie, Laney, and Lily accompanied Lucy upstairs. "Me, Varie, Laney, and Lily voted against the pink and chose black," J.D. explained.

Lucy was curious as to why, so she decided to ask. "Why?"

J.D. shrugged. "I'm not a big fan of the color pink. No offense, Lola." He babbled, hoping he didn't offend her.

Lola simply waved it away. "None was taken, J.D."

"We were outvoted," Varie said.

Lucy agreed with a nod. "I know. Nobody noticed."

Lola didn't believe her about that. "Oh, come on! Exaggerate much?"

While Leni was painting, she accidentally hit Lucy, stroking her with pink paint.

"Whoops. Sorry, I didn't notice you." She pokes Lucy on the nose. Laney removed the pink paint from Lucy's face. "Believe me, Lucy. I tried. But it was 9 against 4. Besides, they didn't notice me either," Laney explained.

"What makes you think that?" Lucy asked, perplexed. Leni accidentally strokes Laney with pink paint.

From somewhere in the bathroom, Leni apologizes to her. "Sorry, Laney. I didn't notice you either." Laney heaves a sigh.

In the den, Lucy, Fangs, and the pets are holding a séance. "Oh, spirits, I summon thee-"

Lori screams unexpectedly, but it turns out she was just talking on her phone. "What?! No, she did NOT!"

Lucy and the animals ignore it and continue with their séance. "Oh, spirits, I summon thee-"

Lincoln comes screaming in with his laptop while wearing Viking attire, but he is talking to his online friends. "Okay, first we send in recon falcons to assess the enemy's firepower!"

"Grr..." Lucy growls but quickly regains her composure. "Oh, spirits-"

Lynn enters the scene, practicing as a crew coxswain with the twins rowing and speaking into a megaphone. "Easy on the starboard! And stroke! Stroke! Stroke!"

Lucy let out a groan. "Ugh!" Lucy entered the living room to speak with her siblings, who were all doing different things simultaneously. "Guys, could you keep it down? I'm trying to contact-" She is thrown back into the den after being hit by Lily's oar. "Oof!"

"Are you all right, Lucy?" Laney asked, concerned.

"What do you think?" Lucy replied irritably.

Laney confronted her siblings, excluding Lily, about how they were treating Lucy. "Hey, what's the big deal? You can't just-" Lana's oar hits her. "OOF!" She is thrown into the den and hits the wall.

The dinner table

"Last slice of pie," Lynn Sr. says, holding it up. "Who wants it?"

Lucy raises her hand, but Lola comes rolling down the table.

"AY-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI!" She snatches the slice.

J.D. takes the slice of pie from Lola.

Lola shouted indigently, "Hey! I had that first!"

"I'm sorry, Lola, but Lucy called first." J.D. shrugged unapologetically.

J.D. hands Lucy the slice, which she gratefully accepts. "Thank you, J.D."

"You're welcome, Lucy," J.D. said, smiling.

"You're a true friend, J.D," Laney said, pleased that J.D. had done that for Lucy.

The sofa area

Lisa is working on her chemicals while J.D., Varie, and the others come to watch television.

"Excuse me," Lynn said as she attempted to sit down.

Lucy said, "I call left armrest."

Lana leaps onto Lucy and grabs the armrest. Lucy dusts herself off, sets her book of poems on the coffee table, and turns on her favorite show on television.

The next episode was announced by the announcer. "Next on Vampires of Melancholia..."

Edwin glared at her with his arms folded. "Griselda, I know you're only seeing that werewolf to make me jealous."

Lynn makes a buzzer sound on her megaphone as the others appear bored with the show.

"We want to watch a show!" Lana exclaimed.

"Tough cookies," J.D. said. "Lucy was here first. So she can watch whatever she wants."

The siblings, minus Laney and Lily, complain.

"We voted on tonight's TV show at the sibling meeting," Luna explained.

"Too bad. You know the rule. Lucy was here first," J.D. said, not wanting to hear their complaints.

Lucy arched her brow. "What about Lisa? She was in here before me."

J.D. nodded. "True. But she's conducting her experiments."

"Laney, you like Vampires of Melancholia, right?" Lucy asked Laney.

Laney agreed with a nod. "It's a great show, Lucy."

"I agree, this is a really cool show," Varie said.

"Will someone please hand me my poetry journal? I have some very strong feelings to express," Lucy asked them.

Lisa spills her chemicals by accident. But before they could get on with it, J.D. grabbed the book and handed it to Lucy.

"Be careful, Lisa," J.D. cautioned. "All right, Lucy, here you go."

Lucy was relieved that her book had not been damaged and thanked him. "Thank you, J.D. You're a true friend."

Lucy decides to go somewhere else to write after the show is over. J.D., Varie, Laney, and Lily couldn't help but feel sorry for Lucy.

Lucy and her Edwin bust go up into the attic, and J.D., Varie, Laney, and Lily decide to check on her.

Standing at the bottom of the stairs, Laney yelled, "Lucy? Are you up here?"

"What do you want?" Lucy asked irritably. J.D., Varie, Laney, and Lily enter the attic. "Oh. It's you guys."

J.D. felt sorry for her. "I'm sorry about your siblings' unfair treatment towards you."

Laney tried to make her feel better by saying, "I'm sure they didn't mean to do it."

Lucy groans. "But they did guys. No matter what I do, my siblings walk all over me. At least when things get bad, I can go to my secret dark place." She notices something wrong with her dark place. "Which they've filled with their junk. Typical. Sigh."

Laney smiled at her. "We'll help you with that." J.D., Varie, Laney, Lily, and Lucy push all the junk away. "Look, Lucy. Just because they don't listen to you doesn't mean they don't love you."

Lucy exhaled a sigh. "Laney, it's more than that. They barely notice me. I just wish I could get even with them in some way." They discovered an old chest with a tag on it. "Oh, look at that. This trunk belonged to Great Grandma Harriet."

Varie examined the trunk with interest. "Lucy, was this your great-grandmother's trunk?"

Lucy pulls open the trunk. "She was a pretty cool lady." She holds a photo of Harriet, who looks exactly like Lucy but is dressed in period-appropriate clothing. "See?"

J.D. was struck by the resemblance. "Wow. Lucy, she looks exactly like you."

Laney returned her gaze to Lucy after looking at the photo. "Well, she does bear a resemblance."

"No kidding," Varie said as she stared at the photograph.

"You showed me an older picture of her when I was a baby," Lily recalled.

Lucy nodded. "Yeah." She pulls out a crystal ball and a skull and discovers a hidden compartment. "Ooh. What's this?" She opens it, finds a book, picks it up, and dusts it off.

Laney examined the book's cover and exclaimed, "Ancient Book of Spells?"

"Whoa," Lucy exclaimed as she examined the book's collection of spells.

J.D. was looking at the book as well, and he was astounded. "Like me, she was into light and dark magic."

Lucy looks at him, surprised, and asks, "You can use magic, J.D.?"

J.D. nodded. "Yes. Watch." He locates a suitable object to perform magic on. "Menusteu Hestion Xanzia!" A purple lightning bolt shot from his hand, striking a bunch of old phonograph records and transforming them into a massive pile of gold coins. "Ta-da!"

Laney's eyes widened in awe. "Whoa! That was amazing!"

Lily was also impressed. "I had no idea you were capable of doing that, J.D."

Laney went over to the coin pile and picked one up. She notices a wrapper on one of the coins and peels it off. "Chocolate Coins! My favorite!"

"That's cool," Lily said, smiling.

"I had a feeling you'd like that," J.D. said.

Lucy had an idea after seeing him perform magic. "Hmm. If I can't get through to my siblings, maybe a little magic will." She opens the spell book and begins to read.

"Something tells me I'm not going to like where this is going," Laney said nervously.

The living room

Lori was sitting on the couch, talking on her phone. "It's like, Carol got eyelash extensions and suddenly she's too good for us?" She paused. "I know!" She paused once more. "I KNOW!"

Lucy is watching her from the den.

"So Carol is still trying to regain her social status despite the Homecoming Queen Scandal," J.D. said, shaking his head.

Laney nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Some people simply cannot take a hint."

Varie exhaled a sigh. "She was suspended for three weeks and is back at it."

"I can't believe her," Lily scowled.

Lucy was glaring at Lori from where she was at. "So, you like disrupting my séances with your inane phone calls?"

"Do you think that spellbook actually works, Lucy?" Laney asked her curiously.

"There's only one way to find out..." Lucy recites an incantation from the book. "Eye of newt, toe of frog, stop this never-ending conversation!"

Lori's phone abruptly hangs up, and she becomes frantic. "Whitney? Whitney? Hello? What? No! This can't be happening!"

Lori goes upstairs, and Lucy smiles at the outcome, while J.D., Varie, Laney, and Lily are perplexed by what has just occurred.

"Well, I'll be," J.D. said, surprised.

Laney was babbling in excitement. "I can't believe it! Those spells really worked! I never thought it would, but it did!"

Lucy smirked at them. "Oh. You haven't seen anything yet..."

Lana has taken Lucy's armrest spot and is watching TV.

J.D., Varie, Laney, Lily, and Lucy are on the stairwell, watching Lana.

"So, you like putting my muddy butt on my favorite seat?" Lucy asked from the stairwell.

Laney became concerned and decided to speak up. "Are you sure this is a good idea, Lucy?"

Lucy ignored her and began reading a spell from her spell book. "Lizard's leg and howlet's wing. Bring vengeance with an itchy sting!"

Lana abruptly jumps off the armrest and scratches her buttocks vigorously while Lucy proudly smiles.

While Lucy watches her from the vent, Lisa is in her room, working on her experiments and humming a tune.

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "So you can't help spilling your chemicals on my stuff?" She recited another spell. "Gall of goat, slips of yew, Turn clumsy fingers into glue!"

Lisa spills yet another of her chemicals. "Oopsie." She picks it up and gets her hand stuck to her flask. "Hmm. That's atypical."

She tries to get it off but keeps crashing into her chemicals while Lucy laughs at her misery. Finally, an explosion occurs, leaving Lisa in a mess.

Lisa sighed. "Of course, now I have to tinkle."

As Lucy stands proudly on her revenge on her sisters, Laney begins to worry. Even if Lucy's magic was real, it shouldn't be used to retaliate against someone. Later, J.D., Varie, and Laney sat by the stairwell, watching Leni and Lily watch Tyou,V in the Living Room. They later ran into Lucy again.

Lucy walked downstairs, speaking to Laney as she did so. "You should've seen it, Laney. I cast a spell on Lisa and made her sticky. She's a total mess."

"I don't think you should be abusing magic like this, Lucy," J.D. cautioned.

Laney agreed, but became nervous. "Yeah, I guess. Are you sure we should be using those spells to get back at our siblings just because they didn't notice you? I mean, this is the kind of stuff that has unexpected consequences."

Lucy dismissed her concerns. "Laney, don't be like that. Besides, you know very well they abused you too."

Laney blinked a few times, confused. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about all the times they walked all over you," Lucy explained.

Laney shook her head defiantly. "No. They'd never do something like that to me."

Lucy raised an eyebrow at her. "Oh yeah? What about the time Leni rooted through your chest?"

Flashback to Laney entering her room and was shocked to see Leni painting her ballerina costume.

"OM Gosh! This tutu totes looks prettier in red." Leni paints Laney's tutu red, and then Laney snatches it from her.

Laney became enraged and began yelling at her, "What do you think you're doing?! You ruined my tutu!"

"It's more like it made it better! It is so your color, Lorraine," Leni pinches Laney's cheek. Laney growls angrily.

Cuts back to the present, and Laney's face burns red with rage at the very memory.

"Uh-oh," J.D. exclaimed, alarmed by Laney's expression.

Laney was enraged. "She called me Lorraine!" Lucy smiles and hands Laney the book. "Give it to me!" She snatches the spellbook from Lucy and walks up the stairs, where she begins to cast a spell. "I'll teach you to go through other people's stuff!" She recites an incantation from the book. "Bird of fowl and feathers pluck, become a chicken, Cluck Cluck Cluck!" Leni gets up from the couch and begins acting like a chicken. "Bawk. Ba-ba-ba-Bagawk!"

Lily burst out laughing at Leni.

Laney couldn't help but smile and laugh at this. "That was incredible! These spells are great! With this, I can finally get the respect I deserve!"

"Welcome to the Dark Side," Lucy said with a slight smile.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Varie said worriedly.

Laney spent most of her day using spells to get back at the other siblings, minus Lily. First, she used one on Lola, causing a patch of hair to fall from her head and causing her to scream. Laney laughed. She then cast a spell on Lincoln, causing him to freeze like a statue. Laney laughed even harder. Finally, she cast a spell on Luna, which caused her guitar to stop making a sound. She strummed her guitar, but no music came out, and she was upset. Laney continues to cackle evilly. Later, J.D., Varie, Lily, and Laney walked downstairs to see Lucy and Edwin.

Laney spoke excitedly as she called out to Lucy. "Lucy! You should have seen what I did to Luna! I made her lose her jams and, most likely, her mind!"

"Can't talk," Lucy stated flatly. As Lucy walks up to the attic, they notice the bald spots on the back of her head.

J.D. felt pity for Lucy and winced. "Ooh! That stickiness spell on Lisa got on her."

They made their way to the attic.

Laney sees the look on Lucy's face and asks her, "Why the long face? You should be happy! Things are finally going our way, thanks to those spells!"

Laney handed over the book to Lucy. "Things are going your way. But even if I use the spells, nothing changes for me around here."

J.D. was curious about what had happened. "What's wrong?"

Lucy took a deep breath and began to explain. "They backfired on me. Lori is speaking to her friends in person rather than crying into her phone. Lana used Edwin to scratch her buttocks." She gestures to her bust. "Those lips touched her butt!" She groans. "It's so frustrating!" Lucy hurls the book, which bounces off a trampoline and smacks her in the face, revealing yet another spell. "Gasp! Laney, Lily, J.D., Varie. Take a look at this!" They went over to examine the spell.

Varie thought it was a bad idea and went too far, yelling, "That's too extreme!"

Laney rubbed her hands gleefully. "Ohhh! This spell is too perfect!"

Lucy wholeheartedly agreed. "I know! It has to work!" She looked at Aunt Harriet's picture and said, "Thank you for giving me a sign." Lucy sighs and rubs her temples. "Though next time, a simple flickering light will do."

As several candles are arranged in a circle around her, she and Laney start working on some kind of powder and humming some sort of chant for it. Then, finally, Lincoln appears and greets them. "Hey Luce! Hello, Lanes!"

Lucy quickly flips the circle for her powder beneath the floor and replaces it with Lola's tea party set.

"Oh! Hello, Lincoln. We were simply having a tea party." Laney smiled nervously.

Lincoln blinked a couple of times, perplexed. "Uh okay. Well, anyway. Come on. Time to visit Pop-Pop."

Luan emerges from beneath Lincoln, who is now on her head. "We voted on where to sit in Vanzilla, and you got the soggy seat!"

Lincoln appeared to be apologetic. "I'm sorry, Laney. But the only seat we have left for you is the springy seat."

Laney became enraged by this. "SPRINGY SEAT?! WHY YOU-" Lucy prevents her from finishing her sentence.

"You guys go without me. I'm in the middle of something important," Lucy explained.

"But tell your grandpa that we wish him the best," J.D. said with a smile.

Luan nodded. "We will."

Lucy flips the spot back to her powder and turns to the book after Lincoln and Luan leave.

"In case you're wondering where Ed, Double D, and Eddy are, they're out of town and won't be back until the day after tomorrow, and Woody is over in his house watching TV," J.D. told the readers.

Laney was still steaming. "Springy seat indeed..."

Lucy tried to reassure her, "Don't worry, Laney. After this, we'll see who gets to sit in the soggy and springy seats from now on."

That night, the two began sprinkling the powder on all of their siblings' pillows except Lily's.

Lucy and Laney said, "Round about the bedrooms go, on their pillows, spell dust throw. By sunrise, they will have no choice but to listen to my voice."

Still in her pajamas, Laney asked Lucy, "Do you really think that spell will work?"

Lucy, dressed in her pajamas, replied, "Guaranteed."

Laney climbed into her bed and said goodnight to everyone. "Goodnight, Lucy, J.D., Varie, and Lily."

"Good night," J.D. replied.

"Good night," Varie replied.

"Good night," Lily replied.

"Good night, guys," Lucy said before turning to Harriet's photo saying, "Night-night, Great-Grandma Harriet." Yawn." When she opens her coffin, she discovers Lynn's sports equipment inside. "Ugh! Lynn!" She dumps the kit out. "This spell cannot work fast enough."

The following day, J.D. Varie, Laney, Lily, and Lucy walk into the newly pink bathroom to find the others brushing their teeth.

"Good morning, girls," J.D. said.

Laney responded, "Morning. Let us surprise them," she whispered to Lucy. Lucy agrees with a nod.

"Hey guys," Laney and Lucy told everyone.

As usual, the siblings are startled by their appearance, but when they scream, no sound comes out, much to their delight.

Laney smiled broadly. "It worked!" She gave Lucy a high five.

"It did work," J.D. said in awe.

"Incredible," Varie exclaimed, surprised.

Lucy screamed, "Yes! Now everything is gonna change around here."

Lucy is currently holding a sibling meeting.

LUCY'S SIBLING MEETING: REPAINT THE BATHROOM

Lucy addressed everyone, saying, "The next order of business is to repaint the bathroom. All opposed to black, say "nay"."

Her siblings try to say something but cannot do so due to the lack of their voices. J.D. and Varie are both grinning.

Lucy pretended to be surprised that no one spoke up. "No one?" She shrugged. "Black it is!" She pulls up the tarp, revealing black paint cans.

The others are upset as they watch them. Later, at dinner, J.D., Varie, Lily, Lucy, and Laney are eating leftovers while Lucy's and Laney's siblings look on glaring.

Laney asked Lucy, "How's that leftover turkey leg?"

Lucy was speaking while her mouth was full. "Num, num, num. I can't believe no one else wanted this."

"Could you please pass the mashed potatoes, Lola?" Lily asked, but Lola simply glared at her.

Now they're watching Vampires of Melancholia.

Edwin raised an eyebrow. "Griselda, you're back. I see you've come to your senses."

Griselda shook her head. "No, I just found out I'm allergic to wolf hair."

Edwin is unimpressed by the revelation, and Lucy's siblings are unimpressed by her decision. However, Laney is beaming as she watches this.

Back in the attic.

"Man. Today has been the best day ever," Laney said happily.

Lucy agreed. "Yep, and we can thank Great Grandma Harriet for that."

Suddenly...

"Lynn, what's wrong?" Rita asked, concerned.

Lynn is pounding on her punching bag, which Rita is holding.

"Oh, come on, kiddo," Rita encouraged her. Lynn lands a powerful punch on the bag. "Whoa! Your crew meet can't have gone that badly."

J.D., Varie, Lucy, Laney, and Lily enter the room after overhearing a portion of the conversation.

"Ms. Rita, what happened?" J.D. asked, concerned.

Lynn pulled out her phone to show them a recording of her crew meet, in which she could not tell her teammates to stroke while the opposing team passed them.

"Stroke! Stroke! Stroke!" yelled rival Coxswain.

Lynn's team loses the race when their canoe circles in a circle. They become enraged with Lynn and throw her out of the canoe into the lake.

"Those ingrates!" Varie yelled angrily at what Lynn's teammates did.

Rita was just as furious. "They literally kicked you off the team? That is not fair!" She tosses Lynn her phone and starts punching the bag to let out all that tension her daughter had.

Lucy and Laney witnessed this and then heard their dad in another room.

"Lincoln, you got one of your friends killed?" Lynn Sr. asked, confused.

Lincoln uses his phone to show his dad what happened in Swords & Cyborgs.

"Commander Loud, what's our move?" Clyde asked.

Lincoln is unable to speak the command and attempts to gesture incoherently.

Clyde was confused at what Lincoln was trying to say. "You want us to...frost a birthday cake?"

Clyde's response annoys Lincoln and Rusty.

Rusty responded, "I think he wants us to attack. So I'm just gonna attack." As Lincoln tries to protest, Rusty has his character raise his sword and charge into the enemy fortress. "RUSTY SPOKES!"

"RUSTY! NOOO!" Clyde screamed in horror.

Cyborgs attack Rusty's character. "Uh-oh," Rusty said, looking on in worry.

Clyde screamed, "It's an ambush! Oh, the horror!"

Lucy and Laney look on with worry, and then they hear their mom talking to Lori.

Rita rolled her eyes. "Lori, honey, I'm sure it's not the end of the world."

Lori showed her mom the message through mascara-smudged tears.

Voicemail: "What's with the silent treatment, Lori? Do you think you're better than us? Ugh! Whatever. Friendship...over."

Rita was trying to console her. "No worries. You can always hang out with your old mom. You can join my book club."

Lori simply wants to cry and covers her face with her pillow. Lucy and Laney are devastated by what they have done.

Back in the Attic

Laney turned to Lucy and said, "What have we done, Lucy? I knew those spells would have consequences, but I still cast them."

J.D. slams his fist into his hand. "There has to be something we can do to fix this."

"Yeah," Varie said, agreeing.

Lucy let out a long sigh. "I didn't mean to ruin everyone's life. I just hope there's a way to undo the spell." In the book, she discovers a startling small print. "Gasp! Laney and Lily, look to put a spell back on the shelf and transfer the effects onto yourself. "Whoa." Lucy, Laney, and Lily exchange glances.

The Loud kids have gathered in Lori and Leni's room for another sibling meeting.

"All right, don't worry, guys," Lucy said. Her siblings gave her and Laney a cold stare. "We didn't call this meeting to force any more resolutions on you. I just have a confession to make."

"You see, Lucy and I were getting really tired of you guys walking all over us," Laney explained.

Lucy finished for her, "So we cast a spell to take away your voices."

The others are perplexed by what they have just said.

"I know you're mad at us," Laney said, "but there is a way to fix this. The Ancient Book of Spells says we can transfer the effects onto ourselves."

"We're really sorry, but don't worry," Lucy apologized. "Yes, we'll never speak again, but I guess we deserve it for-"

Before she could finish, the others all silently laughed.

Lucy was confused. "Why are you laughing?"

"Or, at least, I think it's laughter," Laney added, perplexed. "It's hard to tell because you don't have any voices."

Lincoln prods his throat with his fingers and moves his hands up and down.

"You want us to frost a birthday cake?" J.D. was confused and didn't understand.

Lincoln is unimpressed. Lori pulls out a pad and a pen, writes something down, and hands it to Lucy.

Lucy read the message. "We didn't take away your voices?" The others shake their heads.

"Then why are you so silent?" Laney asked.

Luan hands her sister her phone, which displays a video of Albert playing shuffleboard with other people. The siblings ecstatically cheer when their Pop-Pop wins.

Lincoln, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lana, Lola, and Lisa were chanting and lifting him up. "POP-POP! POP-POP! POP-POP!"

The video ends

"You lost your voices at Pop-Pop's shuffleboard match?" Lucy asked them in confirmation.

They nod.

J.D. smiled happily for him. "Your grandpa won! Way to go!"

"Congratulations to him!" Varie said, happy for him but then became concerned. "But you all got Laryngitis from it?"

They nod.

"That stinks," J.D. said, feeling sorry for them. 'You strained your voices too much."

Lucy was still confused. "But what about my other spells? Lori, I killed your phone."

Lori gestures to her phone, which is charging.

"Oh. So the battery just died," Lucy said in realisation.

"Boy, I hate it when that happens," J.D. sympathized.

Lucy was still confused. "But Lana, what about my spell to make your butt itch?"

Lana shows her some poison ivy outside by a tree and makes a circular motion with her finger.

"You rolled around in poison ivy again?" Lucy asked.

J.D. winced in sympathy. "Ooh! That is painful. My dad once took me onto the golf course to collect golf balls that had become lost in the woods, and I accidentally touched some poison ivy with my leg, which caused me to itch like there was no tomorrow."

Lana began dragging her butt across the carpet, still itching. Finally, Charles emerges from Lori's bed to join Lana in butt dragging.

Laney understood, but then was still confused about something. "Okay... But what about you, Lincoln? I cast a spell and turned you into a statue."

Lincoln shakes his head and then chases Lynn around the room until Lynn touches him, and Lincoln freezes like a statue.

"Oh, you were playing Freeze tag?" Laney asked. Lynn and Lincoln exchanged nods.

"I love Freeze Tag. Play that all the time in gym class," J.D. stated.

Laney asked, "What about Lola, though? I made her lose her hair."

Lola shook her head and held up a green bottle.

"What is that stuff?" Varie wondered. "Is that hair gel?"

Lola gestures to Lisa.

"Oh, Lisa's experimental Hair Gel," Laney realized. Lola nods and applies Lisa's Hair Gel, which causes more hair to fall out. Lola is silently shocked.

Laney yelled, "But wait! Luna! I cast a spell to remove your music from your guitar."

Luna shakes her head, pulls the amp from her room, and tries to play her guitar, but no sound comes. She banged on the amp.

"Is there a problem with your amplifier?" J.D. asked, making her nod. "Let me take a look at it."

When he examines the wiring, he notices that one of the wires has been burned.

"Here it is. Luna, this wire right here has been severely burned. You shorted out the speaker," J.D. explained.

Luna notices a charred green wire that leads to her speaker.

"Lisa, can you get me some wire clippers, electrical gloves, and a spool of green wire?" J.D. asked.

Lisa went to get him said things, and he put on the gloves and cut out the burned wire, replacing it with a new green wire.

"There," J.D. said. "Go ahead and try it."

Luna strums her guitar, and it begins to play sound again.

"Hey, it works again!" J.D. exclaimed.

Luna and J.D. gave each other a high five.

"You're quite the electrician, J.D.," Laney said, impressed.

"I help my dad a lot with the wiring around the house," J.D. explained.

Laney returned to the original topic. "But, Leni. I made you cluck like a chicken!" Leni shows Laney a cartoon about a chicken on her phone. Then she pretends to be one to keep Lily entertained.

"You do a really good chicken, Leni," Lily said, making Leni smile.

"Oh, you were acting like a chicken for Lily?" Varie said, clearly understanding. Leni nodded.

Lucy turned to Lisa and asked, "Well, what about you, Lisa? Didn't my spell make your fingers sticky?"

Lisa shook her head and brought a board with a complex equation.

"I...don't understand any of that," Lucy said, perplexed.

"It looks like some kind of formula for a new type of medicine," J.D. said, looking at the equation.

Lisa pulled out a tape recorder and began playing a recording. "Day 1,482 in the lab: accidentally spilled a new formula, but turns out to be excellent adhesive. Apply for a patent immediately." The recording ends.

"You inadvertently created a new type of superglue." J.D. shook his head, impressed. ''No wonder it was so strong."

Lucy began to apologize to everyone. "Okay. Well, I'm still sorry for casting those spells, even if they didn't work. I should have made more of an effort to tell you guys how I felt."

Laney picked up where Lucy had left off, saying, "We were just so tired of you all treating us like we didn't exist. And when I found out about the spellbook, I went a little crazy."

J.D. looked at her sympathetically and said, "It happens to some of us, Laney. It's referred to as Temporary Insanity."

Lincoln then writes something on the other side of Lisa's blackboard and flips it over to show it.

Lucy read what Lincoln had written. "We're sorry, too," Luan added something to it.

Laney reads what Luan has written. "We'll try not to walk all over you anymore."

Leni goes up to the board and draws a Tic-Tac-Toe grid with an X in the bottom left square.

"Uh...okay," Lucy said, perplexed. "Thanks, Leni."

Luna notices the time on the alarm clock and signals Lucy by pretending to have fangs.

Lucy asked, "What? Oh! My show's on?"

The others motioned for her to follow them.

"You guys want to watch it, too?" Lucy asked.

They gave her a thumbs up.

J.D. figured they'd learned their lesson, so he decided to cure them and said, "Allow me to cure your voices. Watch this." He chants an incantation. "Vestiga Piyona Serrisa!"

Rainbow light emerges from his hands and strikes Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lincoln, Lana & Lola, and Lisa, restoring their voices.

"My voice," Lana exclaimed joyfully, "is back!"

"What did you do, J.D.?" Lori wondered.

"I can actually use Light and Dark Magic," J.D. stated.

"Lucy and I saw J.D. cast a spell up in the attic that turned a stack of phonograph records into chocolate coins," Laney explained.

"Let's show you," Lily said.

They go into the attic, and Lola takes a lot of chocolate coins.

"See?" J.D. smugly stated.

Lincoln was taken aback. "Wow! This is incredible!"

"Come on guys, let's go downstairs," J.D. suggested.

Lucy was impressed. "That's awesome. We'll be right down. I just have to take care of one thing."

Lucy and Laney are putting everything they found in the trunk away.

Laney sighed. "Well, I certainly learned my lesson. I'll talk to my siblings before doing anything rash like casting spells on them the next time. Even if they never worked. It felt great to finally know that magic exists."

"For what it's worth, you would've made a great witch," Lucy said.

"Thank you, but I wouldn't use the term witch," Laney said before turning to face the stairs. "Are you coming?"

Lucy nodded. "Yeah, just a minute. I'll catch up." Laney made her way downstairs. Lucy then talks to the photo of Great Grandma Harriet. "I guess this book of spells didn't work, after all, Great-Grandma Harriet." She holds a photo of herself and her siblings in her hands. "But that's okay. Because I got a pretty magical result all the same."

She places a photo of her and her siblings next to Harriet's. Just then, a lightning strike occurs, and Harriet's photo mysteriously changes her expression from a frown to a smile.
