It all begins at the Loud House. J.D., Varie, Jessie, Eddy, Starfire, Raven, Terra, Argent, Volcana, Woody, Shannon, Lincoln & Linka, Laney, Lily, and Luan are watching TV reading books in the living room.
"Boy, it sure is peaceful outside," Laney observed.
Volcana agreed. "Yeah."
"Let's hope it stays that way," J.D. agreed.
Luan then developed a severe headache.
"Luan, what's wrong?" J.D. asked, concerned.
Luan was groaning in pain. "I don't know. My head feels like it's about to explode."
J.D. senses something and gasps. "I sense a dark force coming from Luan."
"What is it?" Eddy asked.
J.D. had no idea what it was. "I can't make it out."
"Is it a demon?" Raven asked.
"I can sense it, too, and it's not a demon," Varie confirmed. "This is something else".
Linka nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I feel it too."
A pitch-black aura enveloped Luan and emerged from her as a giant blob of black, taking the form of another Luan with blood-red eyes.
J.D. hesitantly asked the 2nd Luan, "Who? Who are you?"
"I am Luan's Dark Side, but you can call me Dark Luan, and I am the source of all the turmoil that Luan caused to you all every April Fools Day," the 2nd Luan explained.
When Lincoln heard that, he became angry. "So you're the source of Luan's dangerous pranks!"
"This is truly a wonder all on its own," Laney said, amazed. "I had no idea Luan had a second personality that takes over every April Fools."
"I had no idea Luan had this dark persona inside her," Shannon said, shaking her head.
"Me neither," Woody replied.
J.D. sighed. "None of us did. I didn't even know that Luan had another personality inside her. I've seen this before on a few TV shows. The most prominent example is 2016's Split. That movie was freaky."
Dark Luan smirked, amused. "Yes, I was created when Luan was bullied in sixth grade."
Everyone gasped in shock.
"Luan was bullied back then?" Varie asked, surprised.
Dark Luan nodded. "Yes. They made fun of us because of our braces and other such things. So as a result, I was created, and Luan became interested in comedy and told many funny jokes. But I'd appear on April Fools' Day to play all those deadly pranks on you."
"You would take control of Luan and pull all those pranks?" Laney asked in anger.
J.D. gasped in horror. "That's insane."
Woody glared hard at her. "You're a monster!"
"For far too long, you have plagued my girlfriend and my best friends! It's time to put an end to it!" Eddy lunged at Dark Luan, and the two wrestled until Eddy zapped her with a Joy Buzzer on the head. "That's what Buzzes you!"
His pun made everyone laugh.
"Nice one," J.D. said, laughing.
Dark Luan throws a cherry pie at Eddy, but he ducks and J.D. is hit in the face.
J.D. slurps the cherry pie from his face. "Mmm. Cherry. My favorite."
Eddy throws a whoopie cushion at Dark Luan, which explodes in her face and covers her in the garbage. "Kind of gives you a Stinky Defeat, huh?"
Everyone laughed once more.
"Good one, Eddy," Varie chuckled.
Dark Luan had a box, which she opened to reveal a spring-loaded metal boxing glove with spikes on the knuckles.
J.D.'s eyes widened, and he yelled, "Duck!"
They all duck as the glove punches a powerful hole in the wall, alerting Ed, Double D, Lori, Leni, Luna, Lynn, Lucy, Lana & Lola, Lisa, Lynn Sr., Rita, Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Kole, Ronnie Anne, Johann, and Varya, who all enter the Living Room.
"What's going on?" Lori asked.
Luna looked at the other person in disbelief. "Dudes! Is that a 2nd Luan!?"
J.D. nodded. "Yeah. That's Luan's Dark Side, and she's to blame for all of the deadly April Fools' Days we've had to endure."
"Luan had a split personality created inside her because she was bullied in sixth grade," Varie explained.
"Eddy and Dark Luan are fighting right now," Starfire explained.
"Luan was bullied in sixth grade?" Lynn Sr. asked, surprised.
"Why weren't we told about this?" Rita wondered.
J.D. shook his head. "I don't know Ms. Rita, but we'll find out later."
Luan was lying on the floor when she suddenly began to glow in a faint rainbow light as she opened her eyes.
"I have to help Eddy," Luan mumbled.
Eddy and Dark Luan got into a fist fight, and Eddy was doing well.
"Wow," J.D. exclaimed. "Eddy's training is really paying off."
Eddy was then pinned to the wall, and Dark Luan had a blackberry pie in her hand.
"You did really well, Eddy," Dark Luan said, smirking. "However, that's too bad."
Dark Luan was tapped on the shoulder, and she saw Luan glowing in rainbow light, and Luan squirted hot sauce into her eyes.
Dark Luan let go of Eddy because she was blinded.
Luan glared hard. "On my watch, no one hurts my brothers, sisters, or best friends! Especially my boyfriend!"
J.D. was in awe. "Look at Luan! She's glowing in rainbow light."
"Lisa, this isn't another one of your Gloweos Experiments, is it?" Lynn asked suspiciously.
Lisa shook her head. "Negative Lynn. I wish it was. Unfortunately, it is not."
"This is the work of something else," J.D. pointed out.
Woody pointed in Luan's direction. "Look, guys!"
Luan then stunned everyone by creating a pterodactyl of pure light, which squawked and picked up Dark Luan and led her outside. Luan quickly followed suit, shooting a beam of blue light from her hand, which burned Dark Luan.
The Light Pterodactyl flew into the air and dropped Dark Luan from a great height. Luan sprouted yellow wings and flew into the air, punching Dark Luan in the mouth and knocking out some of her teeth.
Luan shot a beam of green light through Dark Luan's left leg, burning it off.
Dark Luan slammed into the ground with a thud.
J.D. grimaced. "OOOHH! That's going to hurt."
"No kidding," agreed Woody.
Dark Luan then disintegrated into red shards of gleaming glitter and vanished forever.
Eddy ran out to Luan when she landed on the ground.
"Luan!" Eddy was awestruck as he held Luan close to him.
"Luan, you were incredible. You were..."
Luan kissed Eddy, which was incredible for him.
They were all chatting with Luan in the living room.
J.D. was beaming broadly. "Luan, you were fantastic!"
Varie nodded in agreement. "Yeah. You have light powers, and you have destroyed your dark self."
"Yeah. I'm not sure how this happened, but it did," Luan remarked.
"Let me take a look at this." J.D. takes out his legends book and makes an unexpected discovery. "Luan, you were endowed with Light Powers as a result of Sulis, the Goddess of the Sun in Celtic Mythology. Her powers are only available to those who have separated themselves from their dark side persona. You have Cosmic Light Control, can create light beasts, fly with wings, and use light magic."
Luan was in awe. "Wow. That's amazing."
"I had no idea such powers existed," Jessie admitted.
Lincoln shook his head. "Me neither."
"What horrified us the most was the fact that you were bullied in sixth grade," Raven pointed out.
Lynn Sr. gave her a disappointed look. "Luan, why didn't you tell us?"
Luan let out a long sigh. "I couldn't tell you all because I was afraid."
Woody placed a wing on her shoulder. "Luan, we're your friends, and you can tell us anything."
"You can tell us anything, Luan," J.D. said, "and we are always here to help you."
Luan looked down. "I know. I'm sorry. The bullying was so bad that I decided to hide my pain by telling funny jokes and starting my own business as a result. This bully would always make fun of me because of my braces. Her name was Abigail Sanchez. She hates my guts completely." She then begins to cry. "I'm sorry guys! I didn't mean to hurt you all! It's just that, because of Abigail, I took out my frustration on you through pranks! I'm truly sorry!"
Eddy comforts Luan. "I'm so sorry, Luan. I had no idea you were going through all of that."
"Luan has been through some very difficult times," Kole said sympathetically.
Volcana agreed. "That is harsh."
Luna was furious that her sister had been harmed. "When I see Abigail, I'm going to deafen her so badly that she'll end up in a clinic for the criminally insane!"
"Save seconds for me!" Lynn agreed.
Lincoln was attempting to calm them down. "Now, guys, we can't resort to such acts."
Laney nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Let's leave the decision to our parents."
"Lincoln and Laney are right," Rita pointed out, "but we can't let Abigail get away with this."
Varie agreed. "Yeah."
Woody nodded. "Yeah. Violence is never the answer."
"But Luan," Starfire said, "We will gladly help you out when you have problems."
Robin nodded in agreement. "Star's right, Luan. You're not in this alone."
Cyborg smiled at her. "True, little missy. You are the funniest person I know next to BB. You can definitely make lots of people laugh."
Beast Boy grinned. "That's right, Luan. You are funny."
Terra nodded. "I agree."
"Me too," Raven agreed.
"You're never alone in this Luan," J.D. reassured her.
Luan shook her head, disagreeing. "But I hurt you guys on April Fools' Day, nearly hurt you all with dad, and nearly humiliated you all with stunt doubles!"
"That wasn't you, Luan," Laney pointed out. "It was your Dark Self."
"If anyone is to blame for this, it's Abigail," Lily stated. "She was the match that lit the fuse that ignited the creation of that evil persona within you."
"Yeah," Jessie agreed. "We have to make sure she doesn't get away with everything she did."
"What she did makes her the lowest of the low," Woody declared.
Luan took in what they had just said and realized it wasn't her fault. "You're right. Also, Eddy, I saw you fight to protect my siblings and friends when my Dark Self separated from me. I thought that was extremely brave and heroic of you."
Eddy looked at her with adoration in his eyes. "I'd do anything for you, Luan."
Luan and Eddy shared a kiss.
"AAAAAWWWWWWWW!" said everyone at the sweet sight.
Lynn Sr. calls Abigail and tells her everything that happened to her parents. Police were called, and Abigail was arrested for assault and battery.
Luan testified against Abigail during her trial. As a result, she was sentenced to 18 months in the Michigan Juvenile Correctional Facility and 3000 hours of community service (8 hours per day = 375 days). Abigail was also ordered to pay restitution to Luan of $500,000.00.
They all sat at the table eating spaghetti at dinner the following week.
"Guys, I can't thank you enough for giving me the courage to stand up to Abigail," Luan said, smiling.
J.D. grinned. "No problem, Luan. That is what siblings and friends do ".
"So, Luan, how does it feel to have powers?" Laney asked.
"It feels great," Luan exclaimed. "But this is truly enlightening!" She then laughed at her own joke.
They are all laughing.
"Good one," J.D. laughed.
"Oh Luan, I love you," Eddy said, laughing.
"I love you too, Eddy," Luan smiled.
"You have to remember, Luan, that with Great Power comes Great Responsibility," J.D. advised.
Luan nodded. "I know."
"I have some books on Light magic that you can borrow, Luan," J.D. explained.
"Thank's J.D.," Luan said gratefully,
J.D. nodded. "Anytime."
After a delicious meal, everyone gathered in the living room to watch The Dream Boat.
THE END
