Dipper Pines' House: Garage / Workshop
It's been 6 months since what happened in New York with Janna and the Alien Chitauri battle. Currently, Dipper is in his lab injecting himself in his left arm with some new tech devices.
Dipper injects himself, "Ow!"
JARVIS counts, almost sounding happy, "46." Dipper groans as he injects himself again. JARVIS says, almost in mockery, "47."
Dipper again injects himself, "Ow!" He shakes out his arm in pain.
JARVIS asks, "Sir, please may I request just a few hours to calibrate..."
Dipper interrupts stubbornly, "No. 48." He injects himself one last time, "Ah!" He shakes his arm and wipes the blood off his left arm, "Micro-repeater implanting sequence complete."
JARVIS obeys, then his voice tells Dipper, "As you wish, sir. I've also prepared a safety briefing for you to ignore entirely."
Dipper tells JARVIS truthfully, "Which I will. Right, let's do this." He looks up to see Wendy's robot using a broom to clear the rubbish off the floor, "Dummy. Hi, Dummy. How did you get that cap on your head?" The robot is wearing a DUNCE cap, "You earned it." Dipper stands up and walks towards the robot, "Hey. Hey!" He does a few fighting hits on a practice fighting stand, "What are you doing out of the corner? You know what you did." He points at him before pointing to where he previously sat, "Blood on my mat, handle it."
Another robot holding a video camera across the room is filming Dipper.
JARVIS reminds Dipper, "Sir, may I remind you you've been awake for nearly seventy-two hours?" Dipper ignores him and walks over to his 5-month-old baby boy named Phillip, as he lies on his stomach playing with his Disney bear that his aunt Mabel got for him.
Pacifica gave birth a few weeks after the battle in New York and officially moved in with Dipper. She is working with Wendy at Pines Industries, leaving Dipper to watch over their son.
Dipper says to Phillip softly, "Come here, Phil." As he picks him up, along with his blanket and bear, he walks over to Phillip's playpen away from the platform that Dipper was about to stand on and at a good distance for Dipper to see Phillip in case anything happens or that he needs something. Dipper puts him down in the playpen and smiles as he looks at his boy, "Now you stay here and watch dad as I introduce the birthing suit, okay?" Phillip smiles as he holds his bear, "Alright." Dipper makes sure he's safe before walking up to the platform.
Dipper looks at the camera and makes a karate move, then faces and addresses the Iron Man suits in the glass cages, "Focus up, ladies. Good evening, and welcome to the birthing suit. I'm pleased to announce the imminent arrival of your bouncing bad-ass, baby brother." He tells JARVIS as he records Dipper with a camera, "Start tight and go wide, stamp on time." He turns around, facing Phillip, who's a good distance from the platform, and continues talking about the new suit, "Mark 42, independent prehensile propulsion suit test. Initialize sequence." Dipper raises his hands and taps the tips of his fingers, activating the new suit, then says, "Jarvis, drop my needle." The needle from a record player drops on the record, and funky Christmas music plays. Dipper dances and moves with the music, feeling the groove with his eyes closed.
After a moment, Dipper sharply moves his arms, pointing his left arm and hand flat out to where he'd been injecting himself with the devices, toward the dismantled Iron Man suit on the table. Nothing happens. He puts his arm down disappointedly, then tries again, and nothing happens, "Crap." He bites on his wrist where the injection is in, then hits his arm a few times before he points his arms again, and this time a part of the suit flies over to Dipper and attaches itself to his left hand, then extends to his arm and shoulder. Dipper then points his right hand and arm toward the suit's parts on another table, and the second part attaches itself to his hand and arm. Dipper laughs happily that it's working, "Alright, I think we got this. Send them all."
Suddenly, the right leg part flies over and attaches itself to Dipper's leg. Then as another part flies over, it crashes into one of the Iron Man suit glass cages. Dipper turns to see and makes a face before another part hurls itself at him. As he turns back, he raises his arms and inflicts it, making it crash. He tells JARVIS, "Probably a little fast. Slow it down. Slow it down just a..." Suddenly, another part of the suit shoots over, and Dipper ducks as it narrowly miss hitting him in the head, "...a little bit."
Another part comes, Dipper ducks again, and the part hits a couple of pipes. The other leg flies over and attaches to his leg. The part for the crotch area hits him in the crotch, making him groan and stumble back. Another part flies over and attaches itself with a large force to Dipper's back, making him fly forward and almost fall face-first to the ground but stops by activating both hand thrusters and roughly flies back over to the platform as he says to JARVIS with a strained voice, "Cool it, will you, Jarvis?"
The helmet attaches to Dipper's head without the face mask, The chest piece, the stomach area, and all the other parts are attached to Dipper, except for the final facial piece, which passes Dipper and hits the record player making the music stop. It just hovers, facing Dipper, who stares at it and motions for it, "Come on. I ain't scared of you." The facial piece flies over, hits the side of the table, the one it crashed into, making it turn around, heading straight for Dipper, who front flips over and the piece attaches to the suit, and he lands a superhero landing on the center of the platform.
Inside: Dipper's Iron Man Suit
The screen lights up, showing Dipper's face, who now has a fresh new cut on his lip, and says smugly, "I'm the best."
Outside: Garage / Workshop
At that moment, one of the stray pieces of the suit shoots over to Dipper hard and knocks him down, off the platform to the floor, knocking the entire suit, except for the headpiece, off of Dipper.
JARVIS says to Dipper, who rolls a bit, groaning before taking the mask piece off and sitting up, rolling his shoulders in pain, "As always, sir, a great pleasure watching you work." Phillip watches from his playpen and claims happily as he laughs.
Dipper looks at Phillip, "Think it's funny, Phil?" Phillip smiles happily.
Just then, Wendy walks in with her arms crossed and with an amused expression, "It sure is." Meaning she watched Dipper fall and held in a laugh.
Dipper grunts in pain as he takes off his headpiece before telling Wendy, "Like you can do better, Miss fancy pants."
Wendy, looking at Dipper, raises her eyebrows at the challenge before smirking, raises her arms in front of her, hands together flat, and points across the room at her new Ruby suit, which has a brighter green and silver color. She moves her hands to her chest, motioning for the suit to come to her. The suit lights up and quickly detaches itself before flying over Dipper to Wendy, and the suit swiftly attaches to Wendy, who stands there as she practiced it a thousand times, which she did. Wendy/Ruby looks down at Dipper, shrugs halfheartedly, and her voice says in her suit, "Look at that, I did better."
Inside: Wendy's Ruby Suit
The screen lights up, and Wendy smiles smugly.
Outside: Garage / Workshop
Dipper's impressed and jealous by how good Wendy's gotten but doesn't show it and rolls his eyes and says stubbornly, "Show off." He groans in pain.
Dipper's voice says, "And I guess seventy-two hours isn't a long time between siestas. I didn't think it could get any worse. Then I had to turn on the TV."
TV Footage / Channels
The news on TV shows footage of The Mandarin pacing in front of people on their knees with their heads down.
Dipper's voice says, "That's when he happened."
The Mandarin stops and looks at the people before walking away, saying, "Some people call me a terrorist." As he walks away, his men shoot the people dead, "I consider myself a teacher." Groups of men cheer. The Mandarin was sitting or standing as he talked to the camera, "America. Ready for another lesson? In 1864, in Sand Creek, Colorado, the U.S. military waited until the friendly Cheyenne braves had all gone hunting. Waited to attack and slaughter the families left behind and claim their land. 39 hours ago, the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was attacked. I... I... I did that. A quaint military church filled with wives and children, of course. The soldiers were out on maneuvers. The braves were away. President Trembly. You continue to resist my attempts to educate you, sir." His men burn a wood statue with a scarecrow as men yell and shoot their guns in the air, "You know who I am. You don't know where I am. And you'll never see me coming." The footage ends with an explosion.
TV channels change, and all the news channels talk about The Mandarin.
-Pat Kiernan on BREAKING NEWS says, "Now that we seem to be back, let's recap some frightening developments..."
-It changes to another channel with the headlines saying, 'CYBER ATTACK INTERRUPTS AIRWAVES' the man says, "American airwaves were hijacked..."
-A woman named Megan Henderson from KTLA 5 said, "The nation remains on high alert."
-A different man from another BREAKING NEWS with the headline saying, 'WHERE IS THE MANDARIN? GLOBAL MANHUNT UNDERWAY', he said, "All attempts to find the Mandarin have proved unsuccessful."
On the same channel, President Trembly addresses The Mandarin threat from The White House, "Central to my administration's response to this terrorist event is a newly minted resource. I know her as Colonel Mabel Pines. The American people will soon know her as Iron Woman." Mabel, in the suit, walks into the room.
-Bill Maher talking about the president's response and Mabel's suit on his show and the headline saying, 'WAR MACHINE REBRAND', with him saying, "And how is President Trembly responding? They take the girl they call War Machine and give her a paint job." A picture of Mabel's suit in pink, white, and blue colors.
-Joan Rivers on 'The Fashion Police' talking about the new Iron Woman suit—Mabel's suit, "Same suit, but painted pink, white, and blue." It shows a picture of a man and Mabel in the suit. Unnoticed by some people, the word 'AIM' is beside the picture, and the headline at the bottom of the picture saying, 'Iron Woman Re-brand designed by Advanced Idea Mechanics', Joan continues, "Look at that. And they also renamed her 'Iron Woman'. You know, just in case she was too subtle."
