Lucy was in the Simulator.

In the control room were J.D., Varie, Lori, Lynn Sr., Rita, Lori, Laney, Crysta, Aylene, Starfire, Raven, Silas, and Lisa.

The Simulator activated, and Lucy found herself in a parking garage.

She was walking around when she heard a scream.

As Lucy turned the corner, she noticed a girl being dragged into a puddle.

Lucy realized where she was. "I'm in Poltergeist III. Wicked." She recognized the girl. "That's Carol Anne Freeling!"

Carol Anne noticed her and cried, "Please hurry! Help me!"

"Hold on!" Lucy pleaded.

Lucy spread her black angel wings and flew to her, grabbing her hand and pulling her out of the puddle.

"Carol Anne, hold on tight and don't let go," Lucy advised.

Carol Anne replied, "Okay."

Lucy struck the puddle with black lightning, releasing the spirit of Henry Kane, an insane priest and leader of a 19th Century Satanic Utopian Cult, out to destroy the world.

Lucy's eyes narrowed as she looked at the man. "Henry Kane."

Kane looked at the girl with interest, since she somehow knew him. "Yes. How did you know my name?"

"I have my sources," Lucy replied, but did not fully answer his question.

Kane moved his attention to the other girl and spoke to her. "Carol Anne, don't be afraid. You are the only angel who can guide us into the light."

Carol Anne shook her head, refusing to believe him. "No! You only want to use me for evil!"

"I don't want to hurt you," Kane explained.

"I'm not going to let you have her, you monster!" Lucy declared.

Lucy then pushed her bangs back, revealing her evil red eyes beneath them. "If you want to get to Carol Anne, you must go through me."

J.D. was taken aback. "Whoa! I didn't know Lucy had Red Demon eyes."

Laney was also shocked. "That's the reason why she hides them? I had no idea."

Silas said dreamily, "Lucy's eyes are beautiful."

"The reason we grew her bangs out was because of her eyes..." Lynn Sr. explained while terrified. "It really scared us!"

"They could give you nightmares for the rest of your life," Rita added.

J.D. responded, "I don't believe that at all. Lucy's eyes could literally scare the hell out of even the most evil of people."

Varie nodded. "I agree."

Aylene agreed with him as well. "Me too. I believe Lucy is gifted in all things dark."

Lori expressed her gratitude to the group, saying, "You guys really care about all of us."

Laney agreed and nodded. "Yeah. I don't care if Lucy has scary red eyes. I think they're perfect for her."

"Me too," Silas agreed.

"Friend Raven, Lucy is very talented in the Dark Arts, isn't she?" Starfire asked.

"She's more than that, Star," Raven pointed out. "She has lots of unique powers that make her very special to the family."

Aylene nodded. "I agree with Raven."

J.D. nodded. "Me too."

"Same here," Varie added.

Lucy was prepared to take on Kane.

Lucy was glaring hard at him. "Kane, your crimes against the world and the Spirit World will never be forgiven. You will pay for everything you've done."

Kane scoffed. "I'm not afraid of you."

"You should be," Lucy retorted.

Lucy fired a black fireball at Kane, which struck his leg and burned it off, causing him to scream in pain.

"How? I'm dead," Kane asked her, shocked.

"My powers can kill a spirit," Lucy explained.

Kane growled and regrew his leg before disappearing. However, Lucy's demon eyes glowed as she noticed him trying to sneak up behind her and grab Carol Anne.

Lucy grabbed Kane's hand, but he remained invisible.

"Nice try, Kane," Lucy commented.

Kane was shocked yet again. "How? No human can grab a spirit."

Lucy just shrugged. "Guess I'm special."

Lucy threw Kane into the wall behind the puddle and then shot Black Lightning at him, electrocuting him.

Kane stood up, furious, and transformed into his true form.

"You're a monster, Kane," Lucy remarked.

Kane roared, and Lucy fired a black fireball at him, blowing off his head.

"You're going back to where you belong, you monster!" Lucy shouted.

Lucy unleashed a torrent of black fire on Kane, tearing him apart. Carol Anne concentrated by placing her hands on Lucy's shoulders, which increased Lucy's power.

Bruce Gardner, Pat Gardner, Donna Gardner, and Tangina Barrons arrived.

When Lucy noticed them, she exclaimed, "Join your hands and direct your energy into me. Come on, the fate of the world depends on it!"

Tangina turned to face everyone and said, "She is right. Let's go."

Bruce, Pat, Donna, and Tangina put their hands on Carol Anne's shoulders and concentrated, making Lucy's power stronger than ever and obliterating Kane for good.

"Enjoy the oblivion, Kane," Lucy said, "because you're done for good."

Lucy, Carol Anne, Bruce, Pat, Donna and Tangina killed Kane.

Lucy smiled as she turned to look at them.

Carol Anne wrapped her arms around Lucy and sobbed uncontrollably.

Lucy comforted her, and Carol Anne and her family were finally free of Kane and his evil for good.

Carol Anne decided to reveal the truth in her room. "The truth is that I've had an encounter with Kane before."

"When was this Carol Anne?" Lucy inquired.

Carol Anne told them what had happened. "It was six years ago. My family used to live in Cuesta Verde, California. It was a happy time for me, my brother Robbie, my big sister Dana, and my parents. But Cuesta Verde had a dark secret. It was built over a cemetery, and the bodies were never moved. A storm was approaching, and Robbie and I were in bed with our parents. The TV had finished its broadcast for the night, and I heard some voices calling my name. When I touched the television screen, a ghostly figure appeared and entered our home through our television. Strange things took place. During another storm, a tree came to life and took my brother and me into the spirit realm through my closet."

Tangina spoke up. "Yes. I remember that. That night, I helped a team of parapsychologists save Carol Anne."

Carol Anne continued. "But then our house was destroyed, and we moved in with my grandmother. But Kane found us and he would not stop tormenting us. I was sent to live here in Chicago."

"That's terrible, Carol Anne," Lucy said, "but I'm glad Kane is gone for good."

Pat nodded in agreement. "Me too. He sounded extremely evil."

Bruce agreed with a nod of his own. "Yeah. You saved Carol Anne, and you may have saved everyone. But we never got your name."

Lucy blushed and apologized. "Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Lucy Loud."

"How do you communicate with spirits, Lucy?" Carol Anne asked.

"I have enhanced Spiritual Awareness, and I can see, talk, and hear the dead, and I was given special powers to kill ghosts," Lucy explained.

Tangina said, "You are truly one talented girl, Lucy."

"Thank you, Tangina," Lucy replied. "I'm glad I could help." But what happened to Carol Anne's parents?"

"Diane and Steven were both found to be insane and were both committed to an insane asylum," Pat explained.

"Robbie and Dana were placed in the foster care system," Bruce explained.

Lucy widened her eyes at that. "Whoa. That's bad. Carol Anne, I'm sorry."

Carol Anne tried to smile. "It's okay, Lucy. Thank you for your concern, though."

"You're welcome," Lucy replied. "I hope this doesn't scar you for life, Carol Anne, now that Kane is gone."

Carol Anne let out a long sigh. "I believe it will. I've been through a lot in the last six years."

Lucy felt sorry for her and said, "I wish there was something I could do to help."

The lights began to flicker.

"Is that Kane again?" Pat asked.

Lucy shook her head. "No. This is someone else."

A light entered, and it was the spirit of Carol Anne's grandmother, Jessica Wilson.

"Mom." Pat's eyes welled up as he saw her.

"Grandma!" Carol Anne exclaimed, hugging her and crying.

Jessica smiled lovingly at her. "Carol Anne, you've grown so much. I'm very proud of you. We can finally rest in peace thanks to you and Lucy."

"I know Grandma, Carol Anne replied, "and I miss you so much." But Kane destroyed my family."

Jessica placed her hand on her shoulder and smiled. "I know. He ruined our lives. But he's gone now, and he'll never terrorize our family again."

Carol Anne nodded. "I know. But I miss everyone."

"I know," Jessica admitted before turning to Lucy. "Lucy, you have not only saved my family, but the entire afterlife."

"I'm glad I was able to help out, Jessica," Lucy told her.

"I miss you so much, Mom," Pat expressed.

Jessica nodded. "I know Pat. I miss you and Diane as well. Donna, you're growing up so quickly. I wish I could have been there to see how you develop."

"Me too, grandma," Donna admits. "We all miss you."

Jessica gave a sad smile. "I know. Carol Anne? You are a strong girl and never forget that I will always be with you. I'll never abandon you, no matter where you go."

Carol Ann nodded. "I know. Thank you, grandma. I love you."

"I love you too," Jessica replied. "I have to leave now. Never forget that I will always be with you."

Carol Anne shook her head. "I won't, Grandma."

They hugged one last time.

"Pat, take care of Carol Anne," Jessica advised.

Pat nodded. "I will mom. I love you."

"I love you too, Pat," Jessica replied.

After that, Jessica vanished and returned to the afterlife.

J.D. remarked, "That was beautiful."

"I'm glad everyone can finally rest in peace now that Kane is gone for good," Varie said.

Aylene gave a nod of agreement. "Me too. Carol Anne and her family have been through a lot."

"Kane deserves to stay in oblivion for all eternity," Raven pointed out. "He destroyed that family beyond repair."

Starfire declared, "That man is a monster."

"No kidding, Star," J.D. agreed.

"Well, Kane can now enjoy Oblivion forever," Lynn Sr. concluded.

Rita nodded. "I agree."

Lucy returned home, and a wormhole appeared, through which she entered and completed the exercise.

The Simulator was now running at maximum power.
