Chapter: Reinstate one's self
OOOOO
When Roxanne left the Hyuga compound, Hinata and Hanabi headed home but was stopped by one of the guards to tell them that their father had woken up and wanted to see them. Hanabi shook and clutched her sister's arm but Hinata held her head up high and walked with a firm determination as they were lead to the medical bay of the main household.
When the Hyuga father woke up some time after loosing consciousness, he was completely drained as if the energy was sucked out of his system and now wondered what technique did that girl use. The nurse came in after he pressed the call button and he asked her to get the guard as she helped him sit up. When the guard left to do his bidding, he tried to lift the glass of water by his bedside table but couldn't firmly hold the glass and had to call the nurse again.
What the hell did that girl do to him to be this weak?
The Hyuga father pondered this until a knock came and he gave access to see his children enter. Hinata watched her father from the doorway and she couldn't help but smirk at his pale face as he sat up against the mountain of pillows behind him. Her father noticed her smirking but didn't mentioned it.
When the doors closed behind the sisters, Hanabi clutched her sister's robe and trembled behind her.
Hinata however,
"Father. You will reinstate me as the heiress to this family. No more future arrangements without my knowledge or consent. You will allow my sister to be a child and not some kind of prize to be auctioned off like cattle. Any arrangement you've promised before will be forfeit from now on. Do we understand each other?" the hand on the back of her robe tighten as her sister gasped at the authority Hinata is displaying, and to their father no less.
Hyuga father sat stunned in frozen shock. This was not his meek little girl. This was a confident young woman with authority. Someone he's been looking for to take over the family one day and because of the hit to his pride in today's display, had given his eldest the boost she needed.
A price he was willing to pay.
Relaxing back against the pillows, Hyuga father held out his hand to his daughters who looked at the hand then stepped forward, putting her hand in his big ones.
Hyuga father pulled his daughter close to the side of his bed and took his youngest hand from the back of her sister's robe.
"My daughter. Anything you want" Hinata released the tension she didn't know she held and felt her sister relax too. Their father scooted over on the bed to make room for them to sit. Hinata sat on his side as Hanabi climbed up to lay on their father's chest. One hand wrapped around Hanabi and the other still held Hinata's hand, Hyuga father smiled at the both and they enjoyed the quietness for a moment until he had to ask:
"My daughter, your friend that came today, who is she?" Hinata smiled,
"She graduated with the rest of us but she's not in a four person squad. She just got back since I haven't seen her in months. Her name is Roxanne and she came by to give me a gift" Hinata's smile grew as she spoke of her friend's generosity.
Hyuga father's eye widen a fraction because he knows that name by the whispers of the Jonins then mentally smirked. 'Of course my daughter would befriend a powerful ally'
"My daughter" Hinata stopped talking "Can you invite your friend for afternoon tea or dinner, if she's not busy that is. I like to be properly introduced"
Hinata gasped as she bounced happily on her fathers bed. "Really? Can I?" her father nodded then she squealed.
"I'll send a quick message right now! Oh, daddy, thank you!" Giving her father a quick kiss on his head, Hinata literally ran from the room as her father and sister chuckled at her enthusiasm.
"Daddy?" Hyuga father looked down at his youngest. "What Roxanne implied in the dojo, is that why all those people came to today's lesson?"
Hyuga father sighed then hugged his youngest "Yes and I am sorry you had to find out that way"
A hand fisted his shirt "So you were going to sell me off like cattle"
"As the Heir to the Hyuga, I have to ensure that you are well taken care of and in doing so have to make alliances with our most trusted. As your father and as Head of the Hyuga clan, I have to make the hard decisions in regards to you and your sister" Hyuga father lifted his youngest so she can look at him.
"Now that your sister has taken back her rightfully place as Heir, you don't have to worry about things like that. You, my dear Hanabi, are now free to do as you wish; pick your suitor when you are of age and be your sister's right hand if you so wish to be" He leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead then snuggled her to his chest.
"Your sister will do right by her family, she already did so much just by taking over the position as heir today and as your sister. And with friends like this Roxanne, I know she will do great"
Hanabi giggled into her father's chest.
OOOOO
With a newfound energy (we all know where she got it from) Roxanne was a blur making a beeline for the Forest of Death where she leaped undetected over the fence and as she landed she ran to the exact centre of the forest within minutes.
Stopping, Roxanne scouted her surroundings for any unsuspecting guard making any rounds but found none. Grinning a fangy smile, Roxanne cracked her knuckles and popped a clone. They nodded to each other and started stretching but kept all ears open for the slightest human sound.
The critters, birds, bugs and underground creatures were sounds that was memorized in the beginning of their exploration when they first came to the village and is more then second nature to know these sounds for training purposes. Even when Roxanne let out her clones to go train while she was in class back at the academy did they know every sounds made in the exact centre of the forest.
Like coming home.
Cracking her neck and completely lowering her chakra, Roxanne and her clone got in a stance facing each other.
Squawk!
SLAM! Fist collided with a shock wave that sent dust blowing in all directions.
THUD! Legs connected after.
WHOOSH! Then a spin kick stopped by a hand.
BAM! While bodies hit.
Yep, feels like coming home.

Hours and a satisfied ache later, Roxanne slipped out from the forest unnoticed and once she was out of range did she started walking contently towards the marketplace. Her stomach rumbling in hunger since she hasn't had a bite to eat since the morning and her mouth dry from thirst so at the first stop she purchased a bottled water. Walking through the vendors and smelling the food being made, Roxanne couldn't decide on what to get at first as everything smelled delicious, so she settled on 4 different variety of vendors.
Carrying four take out bags and making her way to her apartment, Roxanne enjoyed the quiet that followed along with the beautiful colors of the lowering sun over the village. Walking up the steps to her floor as she spread out her senses and finding no one else on the stairwells, Roxanne smiled when she stepped on her floor then stopped at the sight.
On the railings at the end of her hallway sat a purple pigeon and when Roxanne came closer, she snorted in amusement when she saw that this pigeon had eyes just like the Hyuga clan. Setting her bags on the floor by her door, Roxanne went to the bird and stroked its feathers first then removed the scroll from the offered leg.
Unrolling it, reading then smiling, Roxanne took out a pen and scratched a reply before rerolling it and giving it back to the bird. Leaning down to bird level, Roxanne addressed said bird:
"Make sure you go directly to your mistress, we wouldn't want anything to happen to my answer, now would we?"
If birds could roll their eyes then this one would of before taking flight.
Roxanne watched as the bird took off then went back to her bags and unlocked her door. Where there used to be piles of gifts on the table earlier is now empty and as she dropped her bags on the table, her ears picked up sounds from her room and slight buzzing that had her clenched her jaw in quiet annoyance.
Taking each item out to set on the table as she tossed the bag to the side, Roxanne grabbed a plate and utensils from the kitchen along with a bottled water from the fridge. Sitting down, Roxanne opened each container then spread them out on the table for easy reach.
Then she heard feet shuffling out of the room but Roxanne held up a hand and the shuffling stopped. Once they did Roxanne used her chakra to pinpoint the exact location of each buzzing and sent out a high frequency that only she and animals can hear, her clones wince at the silent action then when she knew it worked to momentarily stop the buzzing did she open her mouth,
"I haven't eaten all day so if you are hungry, grab my wallet and get your own" Picking up her spoon, Roxanne took out each portion from each container onto her plate as she hears feet shuffling behind her to paw at her pockets for her wallet then out the door as quickly as they can. When she heard the buzzing come back, she ate a spoonful of food, Roxanne moaned out loud in the empty apartment until,
"Don't do that, you know what that does to me" Said a teasing voice at the door that had her chuckling as she turned her head to see her Jonin standing at the open door. Chewing then swallowing, Roxanne pointed her spoon out to him:
"You sir must be done just now" then laughed at her own comment as she turned back to her food while Milo came in and took a seat at the table, looking at all the variety first before leaning into Roxanne and nuzzled her neck earning him a quiet hum.
"Yes, just finished and thought I stop by to let you know our pay will be ready in the morning" placing a light kiss then leaning back, Milo stood to grab a plate from the kitchen. Not bothering with the utensils and sitting back down, Milo leaned over Roxanne to picked up a fork from her right side that she's not using and picked up one of the containers he thought smelled good. Roxanne watched her Jonin take small samples from each of her take out onto his plate.
She knows she said no to the clones because they would of grabbed everything and would of left her nothing but since Milo has a smaller appetite then her, it was allowed. As they ate, Milo watched Roxanne as she hummed with every spoonful that filled him with warmth each time. When Milo went to open his mouth to speak, Roxanne held up a finger to stop him then brought that finger to her mouth to silence him first then held it up again.
She mouthed with no sound:
'Ears are listening' then tapped her ear before going back to her food. Milo's brows shot up to his hairline as he turned here and there, trying to locate the bugs. He couldn't believe they would bug her apartment and he had a pretty good idea on who and why.
"So" Turning back to his girl "how were the reports? Must have been a lot since it took you this long" Roxanne gave her Jonin a look and he quietly growled before speaking, clenching his fist on the table.
"You wouldn't believe the mountain of paperwork I had to do, then again you finished before me" Roxanne gave a fake laugh that Milo knew but the listeners didn't and that just made him clench his fist tighter.
"Yeah, well that's what you get for sleeping on the job" Milo gave his own fake laugh, making Roxanne smirk at him. Then they continued to eat, humming and hmming here and there as they ate their food. Soon they heard the feet shuffling outside as they finished their plates and looked up to see 3 of Roxanne's clones with bags in each hand who stopped by the door when they saw her finger up in the air and at their delicious Jonin, who stared at the clones then at the original and then nodded his understanding.
Roxanne sent out another high frequency that cut the buzzing off again and the clones first winced then laughed before coming inside to get their food ready. They had about a minute to do so and to do so they did in a hurry of movements while being watched by the two at the table.
Once the buzzing came back on, the clones were in the room on the bed with their own food and watching a movie that was louder then it should be. Roxanne looked to her Jonin then gestured with her head to the door where her Jonin answered with a nod. Roxanne took her Jonin's hand and poofed from sight, making the clones smirk and continued eating

Reappearing on top of the eastern gates, Milo huffed and kicked the wall underneath them.
"I can't believe how low they would go just to keep an eye on you" Pacing back and forth as his girl watched "Who the hell do they think they are?"
"They think they can control what they can and that includes me"
Milo blinked first then threw his head back and laughed, Roxanne smiled at him
"That might include you too" Milo abruptly stopped laughing and thought about it.
"I didn't even check last night when we got back, was exhausted from our trip back and went right to bed" a finger on his chin "I didn't bother to check this morning because we had to be at the office before everyone else" Turning his head to see the last rays of the sun setting over the horizon and when it went down, Milo snapped his fingers.
"Lets go and check. I'll fry each one I find and I'll do the same for your apartment" A smirk thrown his way "I'll tell them they had No right and that you are my responsibility. Plus an invasion of a privacy to a minor without consent, you can sue them" Milo laughed as he saw his girl's eyes sparkle with mischief and gave a gleeful feral grin with a nod.
"That's my girl" Milo laughed then held out his hand for her and they popped off once again. A head poked out from the check in station to see what the noise is then shook their head and went back in.
OOOOO
Milo's apartment was simple: a kitchen living room and a door that lead to the bedroom and a bathroom. They stood in the middle of the living room counting off their fingers at the same time in how many bugs were in there and each one grinded Milo's already stretched out anger. Once they finished the living room kitchen, they went to the bedroom and counted some more, making Roxanne scoff.
Milo was Pissed! Who the hell did these guys think they are!
Roxanne watched her Jonin stew for a moment before taking out a bag and began plucking every bug in the bedroom and bathroom while Milo watched, wishing he could fry them all. When she was done, Roxanne handed over the zipped bag for Milo to inspect who took said bag with a low growl. Roxanne took back the bag and went back to the main room to collect the rest of the bugs. Milo shook his head as he watched Roxanne blur around the room and cursed each one that went in the bag.
When the last of it dropped in and zipped, the buzzing in his apartment disappeared. Milo looked to this girl and took her hand, giving a nod that he's ready.

The clones on the bed laughed when the other two reappeared and with the way their Jonin looks, they had to laugh because the grown Jonin pouted and had his arms crossed. All three then stood from the bed and went to the kitchen area to await their boss to say. She snapped her fingers and they all raced around the apartment to catch every single bug they knew was located, dropping them in a new bag in their boss hands.
Milo was growling with each bug discovered in his girl's apartment and when the last of it was taken down, Milo was fuming!
"The fuck is wrong with these people! You had more then I did!" Milo almost screamed but none of them seemed deterred by it as the clones went back to the bed and Roxanne put the bag away before walking up to her Jonin. Slipping her arms around his waist leaning up on her tiptoes, Roxanne nuzzled and nipped at his neck while her hands rubbed his back, trying to at least calm him a bit.
When Milo relaxed just a little bit, Roxanne licked up his neck that had him shuddering in pleasure then quietly laughed before leaning back from his girl and gave her a small smile.
"It's still early, we can go to the Hokage's office to get some answers" Roxanne suggested "I bet the old man didn't know about this" Tilting her head "I bet it was the higher up who thought they were being sneaky" a smile "We can play a game with them" Milo stiffen at that word. "Mind games daddy" Milo released a breath then nudge her.
"Lets go then baby, Daddy wants to see you play" then wiggled his brows at her making the clones snort and chuckle from the bed. Milo took her hand, saluted to the clones and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

To say that the Hokage was surprised at the unexpected visitors after office hours would have been an understatement but seeing as it's Roxanne, he should of known. So puffing one last puff of his pipe, the Hokage set it down then clasped his hand together on his desk, raising a brow at the pair standing in the middle of his office.
Roxanne smirked then completely sealed the room, making Milo sigh and the Hokage tense. Then dropping two bag on the desk in front of the old man who looked at said bag then reached over to open one up. What he took out had him very surprised and gaping at the device in his hand.
The Hokage looked up to the pair, could see the underline anger in the Jonin while the girl's eye had a spark in them. Looking back down to the bag then the other bag and pinched the bridge of his nose before giving a loud groan,
"They are going to regret this" Shaking both bags of it's contents on his desk, the old man took one, gave a look to the girl who cancelled out the seal and he spoke in the bug.
"This is the Hokage, you are caught so report to my office IMMEDIATELY" then slammed the piece down for good measure. Roxanne's smirk widen at the display while Milo cracked his knuckles as he turned to the door, waiting for who all were in on this.
When the door opened to reveal about six Chunins, they stopped in the doorway when they saw Roxanne's smiled to show her fangs and Milo's killing intent and only then did the Hokage wish he could unleash them but as leader of the village, he has to show an example and so stood from his desk. The six Chunins came into the office warily, one of them closed the door and Roxanne threw up her sealing again, making all the Chunin tense and nervous.
"The ones to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I will be lenient to. The one trying to cover their own ass, I would have no choice but to allow Milo, this Genin's Jonin, free range of that person" The Hokage heard Milo chuckling as the six Chunins gulped.
Roxanne hummed then took a seat as Milo stood in front of the six guys with a wicked smile.
"So" he started

The Hokage sighed at his desk as he took out a bottle and glass to pour a drink.
All the six Chunins caved right away, giving up the names of who did what and before any blood could be spelt, the Hokage dismissed the six with a warning. When the last of the guys left, Milo turned to the Hokage and crossed his arms.
"This can't go unpunished, someone needs to be dealt with before this happens again" The Hokage nodded.
"This is all just troublesome, the lengths they went just to keep an eye on us is just so" Roxanne trailed off
"Fucked" Milo finished then shook his head "Are they going to keep doing this every time we leave the village or until we give in to them?"
Roxanne snorted then stood from her seat "Yeah, not going to happen. Fix this Old man or the next misunderstanding will be dealt with by me and we don't want that now would we?"
The Hokage sighed then nodded and dismissed them with a wave of his hand.
Taking his filled glass, the Hokage gave one last sighed then down the drink, feeling the burn down his throat and groaned.
Pouring another glass, the Hokage rubbed his head then leaned back and contemplated when was the day he decided to just let it be.

Back at her apartment, Milo took a seat at the table with a sigh and watched as his girl went to the room to see what the clones are up to. He could see from this seat that all three were laid out on the bed while his girl stood chatting with them.
"My girl?"
"Yes" all four said then sniggered as Milo shook his head then looked up when his girl came and he held out his hand for her. Roxanne took it and Milo pulled her onto his lap as he wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled into her neck.
"Baby, I missed you last night" Roxanne arms went around his neck "Its been so long since I've last slept alone" she scented his neck "That's why I was so tired this morning, I didn't sleep at all last night, no matter that I was exhausted"
Tightening his hold on his girl, Milo breathe in her scent and they stayed like that for a while.
"Can you come stay with me tonight? We'll just sleep. No funny business" Leaning back to look into his girl's eyes "I know we said there'll be nothing going on while we're in the village" Roxanne nodded "But I just want to sleep. And" Roxanne lifted a brow at his hesitation
"And I was thinking that until your boys come home, we can spend the nights together while in the village. But only to sleep" Tilting her head "Until I can get use to not having you in my arms"
Roxanne smiled at her Jonin "I don't think that's going to happen soon daddy, especially when we're back to a routine of missions one to three days out of the week" Leaning in to run her nose along his jawline "Where we'll be alone most of the times" Milo hummed "And that time of the month where you'll try to stay away but your curiosity will get to you one day" a kiss then jumped off his lap.
"But of course we can just sleep" going to her room "I'll just pack an over night bag and towel"
"Baby, why you need a towel? I have some at my place"
"I know daddy, but then I'll smell like you and we're trying to keep this on the down low, remember?"
Milo sighed when he did remember then grumbled about how some people should just keep their noses to themselves, making the four in the room giggle. Coming back to the main room with a small pack then went into the bathroom to packed her shower stuff and toothbrush. Zipping the bag and tossing it to her Jonin who caught it easily as he watched his girl go back to the bedroom:
"Rules!"
"No going out"
"No bringing back anyone" that earned them a growl from the Jonin
"No opening the door or window to unannounced visitors"
"And report any unannounced visitors"
"If they persist then we have permission to knock them out, tie them up and report to you"
That made Milo laugh.
"Clean up our mess"
"Be vigilant"
"Any problems are to be reported immediately"
"Good girls. I'll be back before lunch with lunch then I have an appointment in the afternoon"
Milo looked up at that "What appointment"
Roxanne smiled at her Jonin "Invitation to afternoon tea with the Hyuga family" the clones 'oooh' and 'ahhh'
"You" Milo pointed "Got an invitation" then stood "for tea" one step "With the Hyuga Family?" his hands out, his mouth gaping and his eyes wide. Roxanne snorted at him then came up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist before kissing his neck.
"Yes, daddy" she purred and nuzzled into his neck, giving him a little squeeze.
Milo, for his part, was shocked. The Hyuga family don't interfere with anyone outside their circle unless they are partners in a squad and even then they don't invite anyone into their compound unless absolutely necessary. Looking down at his girl as she hugged him and watched her tail sway lazily in the air in front of his face, Milo sighed and slumped in her hold before wrapping his own arms around his girl.
Then again his girl wasn't just anyone and he'll have to get used to sharing her now that they are back in the village.

That night as they slept soundly on his bed with his arms wrapped around her body and keeping her close as one of her hands held onto his night shirt with their legs tangled together.
When they got in that night, Roxanne went straight for the bathroom for a shower as Milo went to his room to make the bed and add extra pillows from the closet. Then going to his dresser for a set of sleepwear for after his turn in the shower that he put on the bed before heading out to the main room to check if everything is in order such as the door and windows are locked. Tidying up the living room a bit and rinsing his morning dish and cup in the sink, Milo closed the curtains and turn the lights off. Back in his room, he saw the bathroom door open with steam coming out so he grabbed his clothes off his bed and went to the bathroom for his turn in the shower.
Roxanne watched her Jonin until the door closed behind him while towel drying her tail sitting on the bed with a towel wrapped around her head. When her tail dried, she started on her hair rubbing it as dry as she can and then tossed both towels to the opening door. Milo caught the towels, gave Roxanne a look that had her smiling and tossed the damp towel into the tub before turning off the lights. Roxanne moved around to pull the blankets up and fluff the pillow as Milo crawled into the blanket after turning off the lights and they settled down. Roxanne on his chest with her arms wrapped around her Jonin as said Jonin wrapped his arms around her body with his head on her hair, smelling the fresh clean scent.
Her tail wrapped around one of his leg and with one last breath of her scent Milo fell asleep. Roxanne listened to her Jonin's breathing evened out for a while and the beating of his heart lulled her to sleep after.
