Project M.A.I.D.E.N inspired by the fic 'A Different Start'. Unlike the previous omakes such as All-Maiden Pyrrha, Penny being a Maiden is far less important and acts as more of an explanation on why she's with Jaune, so in a way it's more like 'When the Worst Girl Wins' where it's focused on Penny's interactions with the world from her POV.
I'm also thinking of doing a Yang romance omake with a different twist. Instead of Yang herself being the problem, it's the opposite. She's a great girlfriend, but everyone else is intentionally or unintentionally messing with her and Jaune's relationship. Anything from Blake continously dragging Jaune out of dates cause she needs someone to clean up her messes or Ruby unintentionally clam jamming her sister multiple times.
On a side note, I'm considering either doing P a treon and/or taking commisions. Not sure if that's allowed, but apparently the former works so long as you don't do things like withhold chapters behind tiers or something. I'll still write no matter what, I can just obviously update more with support. Just a thought.
It was going to be a sensational day!
Those were the words that ran through Penny's CPU as she looked out over the edge of the airship taking them to Beacon Academy. It was something her father told her to say every day, and research on the dustnet showed that a motivational quote a day increased efficiency by as much as thirty percent! That was a very high increase for something so simple!
Her processors sped up as they drew closer to the academy. She'd never left Atlas before, but at the urging of Headmaster Ozpin, Uncle Ironwood had allowed her to enroll into Beacon rather than Atlas. Father had been pleased. Valeans had a more open culture to Atlesians and, much as he knew Uncle Ironwood wouldn't like it, he'd been hoping for her to enroll in another academy to increase her self-expression.
"Careful, Penny."
Oh, and she wasn't alone, "I will be careful, Mechanic-Jaune!" Penny replied happily.
Jaune Arc, her personal mechanic and the one in charge of maintaining her Aura levels. As the world's first android capable of using Aura, there were, of course, complications when it came to her Aura levels. Sudden spikes and drops were common as she acclimated to her body. Nothing critical, but it would prove an inconvenience in both combat and daily life.
Hence Jaune's role as her mechanic and Aura balancer. His Semblance allowed him to to help with her Aura needs and father had taught him how to make repairs. Nothing too in-depth, he wouldn't be able to repair her if she were to be torn apart, but if that scenario took place then there was more to worry about than her chassis being restored.
Besides, she also knew how to do field repairs, though father had urged her to keep it secret. Many conspiracy theorists on the net were paranoid about AI's take over and to them self-repairing was too close to self-replication. Penny personally thought that Remnant could use a few more androids like herself, though she was admiteddly biased given her circumstances.
"Uh...could you be a bit more careful? Cause..." He gestured to the distance and she blinked - a very human motion! - at the sight of the gale force winds buffeting the campus.
"Oh! My apologies!" She prioritized her processes to calm herself and the wind disappeared, leaving behind a confused crowd.
In addition to being the world's first android with Aura, she was also the Winter Maiden! And also the Spring Maiden, though that was an unexpected addition. She'd been present when the Branwen clan attacked a transport heading through Anima and was just as surprised as Uncle Ironwood when the leader of the bandits she'd killed ended up being the aforementioned Maiden. How odd.
It was also a very difficult fight. Her robotic nature had helped in that regard; clearly the woman didn't expect for her to be able to function after being bisected from the waist down.
Uncle Ironwood considered her the best host they could find. Not only could she process her emotions with precision as needed, but she would never age, meaning that so long as she kept functioning the powers of the Maidens could be kept away from the wrong hands. Or at least that was what he had said. Personally Penny was unsure if it was truly fair to deny others the chance to do good with these gifts, but she'd agreed nonetheless.
"Remember the plan, Pen?"
"Absolutely!" Her smile widened just a bit at the nickname. Nicknames were a sign of closeness and apparently common among those that worked together. Sadly, she did not have one for him yet. The name Jaune was oddly difficult to find a shorthand for.
"Right. Repeat it to me."
"We will go to Beacon and I will take the Initiation. I will not show any signs that I am the Spring Maiden, the Winter Maiden, or anything more than a normal human girl. You will take the role of an apprentice weaponsmith in order to be able to stay on campus. If and when anyone asks about our relations, I will claim that we are old acquaintances from Atlas that just so happened to end up in the same school."
It was sort of sad that they couldn't be placed in the same team, but she understood. Jaune's training in combat was limited and it would take years in order for him to match up even to Huntsmen in training. At least she could still keep seeing him.
"Good. Oh, and can you to stop calling me Mechanic-Jaune? Remember, you're a normal girl. It's gonna look pretty weird if you keep doing that."
"Then what should I call you?" She tilted her head to the side.
"Just call me by my name. There's no need for all that adjective stuff."
"But then how will people know who you are?"
"They'll figure it out. And if they don't...well, what's the big deal? I don't need everyone to know who I am."
"It simply feels improper."
He sighed, and yet he also smiled. She was still getting used to expressions, "Pen, we're friends. It's not improper to call friends by their names." A pause, "It's not improper to call most people by their names, but you get the point."
Penny paid him almost no mind as her processes were forced into a loop at his words, mimicking the human action of hesitation. Two seconds passed before her subroutines kicked in and she vocalized, "We are friends?"
"Uh, we're not?" He looked hurt. Oh dear, was this the phenomenon of putting one's foot in one's mouth? "S-Sorry, I guess I just assumed-"
"I would very much like to be your friend, Friend-Jaune!" She held both his hands in her and he winced. Oh dear, she needed to adjust her servos, "I had simply thought that coworkers were separate from friends. Specialist Erdtree told me that her fellow Ace-Ops members are coworkers and that professional and private lives are separate. I assumed that the same applied for us."
"I mean, I guess that makes sense for some people, but I don't see why we can't both work together and be friends. Mom always said strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."
"Oh! That is a very good saying!" She almost tightened her grip once more before remembering that it would be unpleasant even with Aura, "This is truly a sensational day, Friend-Jaune! I am looking forward to our continued friendship!"
"Penny."
"Yes, new friend?"
"Your Maiden is showing."
He nudged his head to the side and it was only then she noticed that the winds had picked up so much that the airship had nearly capsized. Huntsmen and crew members ran around in a panic. One blonde in particular was reassuring someone wielding a scythe that she would cushion her fall if needed. Oops, "My apologies!" She concentrated and the winds immediately disappeared, leaving even more to look around in frantic confusion.
"Thank the Gods I took those motion sickness pills." Friend Mechanic-Jaune said, "Pen, you really need to calm down with that. People are gonna notice when tornadoes start popping up."
"I am confused, Friend-Jaune. I have not created tornadoes as of yet. So far all current manifestations were limited to-"
"You know what I mean." He sighed, "Just...don't do anything weird during Initiation, okay? I promised General Ironwood we'd keep a low profile and he told me he'd be very...unhappy if anything happened to you."
"Don't worry, Friend-Jaune. Uncle Ironwood is a very kind man."
"Something tells me you're a bit biased there..."
Initiation had gone swimmingly! She'd made eye contact with a very kind girl by the name of Ruby Rose and she had become her first Beacon friend. Her second friend overall after Friend-Jaune. During Initiation they'd also ran into Ruby's half sister, Yang Xiao Long, and her own partner, Blake Belladonna. Together they'd succeeded and formed team RWBL (Rubble) with Friend-Ruby as their leader.
Oh, and they'd also ran into Specialist Schnee's younger sister during the trial as well. Specialist Schnee had informed her that Weiss Schnee was attending Beacon, though she was also warned that she was unaware of her true origins and must also be kept in the dark. She had also been made the leader of her own team, team WNNR (Winter). The heiress had preened when the name was announced. According to research, many humans took coincidences and saw them as 'signs'. How odd.
She'd been elated and went to the Forge in order to tell Friend-Jaune the good news. Friend-Ruby had joined her, eager to see the weaponsmithing facilities that Beacon offered.
"Friend-Jaune, I have passed Initiation!" Penny said as she opened the door. It was obvious - after all, she wouldn't be at Beacon if she had failed - and yet she said it anyway. Father taught her that sometimes stating the obvious was needed after the last incident. Poor Steve still screamed at the sights of oranges.
"Yeah, I heard! Congratulations, Pen!" Jaune grinned and her processors sped up. Ah, this was the feeling of shared camarederie. How odd, she didn't feel this way when Friend-Ruby gave her the highest of fives.
"So you're Penny's friend who she won't stop talking about?" Friend-Ruby asked cheerfully, "Name's Ruby Rose. Nice to meet you."
"I guess." Jaune laughed and rubbed the back of his head, "Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you, Ruby."
"Cool. So, guess you're the one who's gonna do her repair check-ups every week, right?"
A silence settled over the room, broken only by the sounds of whirring machinery. Friend-Ruby looked up at Friend-Jaune while he smiled stiffly, "...Uh, come again?" He asked.
"I mean I figured Penny's either a robot or a cyborg cause, you know, she was flying around during Initiation and shot down a Nevermore with laser eyes." Friend-Ruby pantomimed said lasers coming out of her own eyes, "That and I overheard her talking about 'friend mechanic Jaune' and about how proud you'd be of her when she passed. Kinda figured it out from there?" She shrugged.
Friend-Jaune turned towards her, "Penny?"
"Yes, friend?"
"I thought you were going keep a low profile."
"I have. I showed no signs of being a Maiden, both Spring and Winter, and I announced myself as being a perfectly normal human girl to every single person I ran into." Many appeared disconcerted when she insisted very heavily on it, but she was determined to follow the directive, "Friend-Ruby came to that conclusion herself when she saw my capabilities."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure jetboots and laser eyes will make anyone think that!" Friend-Jaune threw his hands up. Oh dear, had she done something wrong, "Oh Gods. Ruby, please don't tell anyone about-"
"Uh...might be a bit hard." Friend-Ruby shifted from one foot to another, "Everyone kinda, you know, thinks she's a robot. The jetboots and laser eyes really didn't help. But hey, it's cool! She cut that Nevermore in half with those lasers so everyone's totally down with her being an android or whatever!" A pause, "So, uh...what's a Maiden? Does it have anything to do with her freezing that Deathstalker solid?"
"Oh Gods..." Jaune covered his face with both hands and whimpered, "General Ironwood is going to kill me."
"Don't be silly, Friend-Jaune. Uncle Ironwood wouldn't do that." She never understood why he was so scared of him. Every time she asked him Uncle Ironwood would appear out of nowhere, put his robotic arm on Friend-Jaune's shoulder, and then Friend-Jaune would stutter out that he was just being silly. So odd, "Oh, I'm sorry, we can't stay much longer. Inititiates have an earlier curfew to ensure they don't wander around in a weakened state. Goodbye, Friend-Jaune!"
"See you around!" Friend-Ruby added after.
"Yeah, I'll just be over here writing my will..."
Oh, Friend-Jaune was so silly. Penny chatted with Ruby as they returned to their dorm room. Friend-Ruby had a very deep interest in weaponry that rivaled many of Atlas' own engineers. She was so glad to find someone so accepting of her nature. Despite what one may have thought, Penny had no interest in being human; at least in the organic sense. She saw the benefits of her artificial body. What she yearned for was acceptance and understanding, not a transformation.
"Yo, where've you two been?" Teammate-Yang asked when they returned. Teammate-Blake was sitting at the rightmost bed and reading a book, having already changed into her pajamas.
"We were visiting Penny's friend," Friend-Ruby replied.
"Oh, you mean the guy who fixes her laser eyes?" Odd, she could've sworn she heard Friend-Jaune cry out in despair, "Well, whatever. Is there anything you need, Penny?"
"No, thank you, though I appreciate the welcome." Penny nodded eagerly. The two sisters began to chat and Penny's receptors shifted to the most quiet member of her team. Curiosity whirred inside her chest, though she understood that prying was frowned upon unless asked first, "Excuse me, Teammate-Blake. May I ask you a secondary question after this inquiry?"
The dark haired girl looked up from her book and raised a brow, "...Sure?"
"Sensational. Could you please tell me why you're hiding your Faunus trait under that bow?" The Faunus' body stiffened and the book fell from her grasp. How clumsy. Both Friend-Ruby and Teammate-Yang stopped their conversation to look at them, "I know it might be rude to ask, but I wondered if it's not painful to do so? And also I see little point. From what I've researched, Faunus traits such as ears allow for enhanced hearing, so binding them would be an active detriment."
"H-How do you know?!" Blake shrieked.
"Because I saw your ears." Penny tilted her head to the side, "Oh, another thing I'm curious about. Your last name is Belladonna. Would that make you the daughter of Ghira and Kali Belladonna, the creators of the White Fang?" Teammate-Blake looked like she was choking. Penny would've performed the heimlich maneuver if she wasn't aware there was nothing obstructing her airways, "...Should I take your silence as confirmation? I've always read that silence implies consent."
"...Who are you?" Teammate-Blake whispered, her heart rate oddly elevated.
Hmm. Well, her new teammates were already aware her nature, so the directive needed to be altered, correct?
"Penny Polendina, the first ever android developed by Atlas to be capable of using Aura. And am I correct in saying that you are Blake Belladonna, daughter of the White Fang's founders?" Uncle Ironwood expressed admiration for the founders. They believed in peaceful protest, not the violence perpetrated by Sienna Khan (Priority Level: ALPHA) and Adam Taurus (Priority Level: Omega).
"Wh-What are you going to do to me?" Odd, her heart rate was even more elevated now despite them just having a conversation.
"I suppose I shall tell father and Uncle Ironwood of who you are." They'd both be happy at the caliber of her teammates, "I'm sure Uncle Ironwood would like to meet you, in fact. You two would have a lot to-"
And then Teammate-Blake threw her book straight at Penny's head. The android barely paid it any mind and watched as the disguised Faunus jumped out the window without even opening it.
"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!"
Penny tilted her head to the side and turned to her remaining equally confused teammates.
"Was it something I said?"
The days in Beacon passed by surprisingly quick. The only hiccup had been them having to spend their first night tracking down Friend-Blake (then known as Teammate-Blake) to assure her that Penny had not, in fact, been threatening her. Penny still had no idea how her friend had come to that conclusion. She'd simply wanted to clarify her origins. Did not most teammates partake in the same?
Right now she was 'hanging out' with Friend-Jaune in the cafeteria. She was getting used to the vernaculars, "It's only been a couple of weeks, but how do you feel about Beacon?" He bit into his sandwitch. Penny did not require sustenance, though most people hardly noticed her lack of an appetite.
"It is a very sensational place." Penny nodded eagerly, "Also an adventurous one! I hardly expect to be able to fight master thieves and terrorists in Atlas!"
"Yeah...you know General Ironwood wasn't happy when I made that report." Friend-Jaune sighed.
"Odd. He seemed pleased when I informed him?"
"That's cause he's happy whenever you are, Pen."
"I do not understand. We do not share the same processors."
"You'll get it some day." He smiled and drank his coffee, "By the way, I've noticed your limb actuators was pretty gummed up last week. What happened?"
"Oh, I attempted to fight against Friend-Pyrrha in a private sparring match. When she attempted to use her Semblance to take my sword she'd also caught my arm and bent it at an angle." Penny frowned, "She apologized profusely despite my attempts to tell her that it was of no issue. It was strange."
"People feel bad, that's normal."
"But why? I did not mind."
"It just is." Jaune set his drink down, "Some people they feel bad even if there's no harm, and others don't feel guilty at all no matter how many people they hurt."
"Like Roman Torchwick."
"Exactly." He smiled. She liked it when he did that, "Pyrrha feels bad, but that'll pass eventually so just be patient. The fact that she worries just means she cares about you."
"I...believe I understand." Penny nodded. Father was the same in a lot of ways. Emotions had a way of superceding logic. Even Uncle Ironwood was the same despite his claims otherwise, "I only hope that she knows that I don't hold a grudge. I truly was no problem."
"She knows, Pen, don't worry."
Spending time with Friend-Jaune always had a way of lightening her processes. She never had to devote as much runtime to thinking about complicated things when he was around to patiently explain. He didn't have to, she knew that. His only job was to keep her Aura levels stable and help with repairs as needed.
Speaking of the former...
"Oh!" Penny sat up ramrod straight in her seat while Friend-Jaune's scroll beeped, "Uh-oh. It appears my Aura levels have dropped to twenty five percent."
"Alright, we gotta get that fixed. Come on."
They went to Friend-Jaune's room. Penny sat down on the bed and waited for him to begin. She wasn't the only one he'd shared Aura with. Ever since coming to Beacon he'd also shared his Aura with the rest of team RPBL and even Friend-Weiss from their sister team. They'd all agreed it felt pleasant, Friend-Yang in different words than the rest that left Jaune's face flushed.
For some reason Penny felt a swell of pride knowing she was his first...transfer. First transfer.
"Friend-Jaune, do you...enjoy being in Beacon?"
"Huh?"
"You asked how I found Beacon and I thought it fair to ask in turn. Should I not have done that?"
"No, it's just..." He laughed, "You probably don't know this, but I wanted to be a Huntsman."
"Oh?" Penny perked up. Finding out more about her first friend made her excited.
"Yeah. My great-grandpa was a hero in the Great War, then my grandpa after him. Dad was the one who broke the streak. He chose to settle down and run a winery. It was definitely safer for him and it allowed him to raise me and my seven sisters." His numerous siblings still made her giggle. She imagined what it would be like to have seven siblings of her own, "But still, I grew hearing stories and I wanted to be a hero too."
"What made you change your mind?"
"Well, I was always better with tinkering with machines than I was actual fighting. When I got that opportunity to work under Professor Polendina both my parents and my oldest sisters told me I'd be an idiot to not take it." He shrugged, "And I guess it all worked out in the end, right? I learned a lot more about engineering, I got to go to Atlas and...well, I got to meet you."
Penny's cheeks suddenly flushed and her processors sped up. What was happening? This had never happened before. Even in the heat of combat she never felt panic or anxiety, and yet now her processes were working overdrive and her body temperature went up.
She didn't get a chance to ponder what happened before Friend-Yang walked in without knocking, which she understood was rude, "Yo, Jauney! You down to help me do some TLC on Bumbl- oh, am I interrupting something?" She raised a brow and grinned. Friend-Yang was the most expressive of their group, contrasting Friend-Blake who tried to keep a stoic front apart from their first meeting.
"Just finishing up an Aura check. You said something about your bike?"
Penny watched as the two blondes conversed. She felt...odd. They were both her friends, and yet seeing the two so close - especially the way Yang touched Jaune's arm and winked up at him - made her feel...annoyed.
"I will be leaving now, Friend-Jaune!" Penny said just a little louder than necessary, feeling an unexpected surge of pride when the two blondes separated at the noise.
Penny returned to her room trying to parse through her thoughts. Clearly her frustration began when Friend-Yang entered the room, but why? They were both her friends and she enjoyed spending time with them, so why then was the sight of them talking causing her programs to shift?
The dual-Maiden looked outside and blinked when she saw the raging storm that greeted her. It was a sunny day just a few minutes ago, "Oh dear..." She put a hand on her chest and devoted resources to calm her mood. The Maiden powers being activated by emotional state wasn't unprecedent - Friend-Yang's Semblance was at least partially fuelled by her anger - and yet Penny found the storm an odd sign. That implied she was angry; and she couldn't be angry at her friends, right?
"Hey, Penny!" Friend-Ruby greeted as soon as she entered. She was sitting on her bunk bed and reading a comic book.
"Good afternoon, Friend-Ruby." Penny sat down on the bed, posture straight and hands on her lap.
"Have you seen Yang?"
The reminder made her mouth twitch, "She is currently talking with Friend-Jaune." Her voice sounded more clipped than she intended. How odd.
"Hm." Friend-Ruby turned the page, "The two are spending a lot of time together. I wonder if they'll go out."
Go out, another term for dating. A relationship. She hypothesized the possibility. Friend-Jaune and Friend-Yang doing 'couple stuff' such as feeding each other treats, finishing each other's sentences, and even holding hands. Which, if she could trust the dustnet, was apparently incredibly lewd.
A clap of thunder rang outside, so loud that Friend-Ruby fell off her bed onto the floor in surprise, "Woah, that was super close!" She looked to Penny and blinked, "Penny, what's wrong?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well...you've got a really sour look on your face."
Another vernacular. She had no idea how a look could taste like anything. Penny looked into a nearby mirror and was surpised to find her lips curled down in a deep frown, "How...odd." She touched the sides of her mouth and forced them up only for them to return to that state once she let go.
"You're sad about something."
"I am?" Penny tilted her head to the side.
"I think so." Friend-Ruby nodded, "What were you thinking about?"
"Friend-Jaune and Friend-Yang doing couple stuff." Friend-Ruby blinked once more, "When I thought about it my processes began to go into overdrive and my mouth refused to stop frowning. How odd."
"Penny...I think you're jealous."
"What do you mean?"
"You don't like the idea of Jaune and Yang getting together...maybe because you like Jaune as more than a friend?"
"As more than a friend?" Penny whispered. How odd. She'd never considered such an idea before. She'd always labeled people into three groups - allies, enemies, and strangers. While there were variations within each group, the thought of a relationship that went beyond friendship that wasn't family made her processors stop and start.
"Let's try something. Think about Yang and Jaune together again then tell me how that makes you feel."
She did, and the next clap of thunder was so loud it shook the windows. Friend-Ruby shrieked and complained about the freak weather patterns, "...I like Friend-Jaune," she whispered, unsure if Ruby could hear her, "I like Friend-Jaune."
She left before Friend-Ruby could say anything and returned to Jaune's room. Yang was gone, though right now she devoted no resources to processing that beyond the minimum, "Hey, Pen. You forget something or-"
"I believe I am in love with you, Friend-Jaune," she interrupted, causing him to flush as the words sank in, "The thought of you in a romantic relationship with Friend-Yang - with anyone - causes my programs to stall. It is...unpleasant." She chewed on her lower lip, a remarkably human gesture that she didn't even realize she was doing until seconds later, "I am aware that my body has deficiencies that-"
"Hey, hey." He grabbed her shoulders in a gentle grip, "None of that, alright? As far as I'm concerned you're as real as any other girl." Oh my. Her central core was speeding up to an uncomfortable degree, and yet it felt pleasant. Fascinating! "And I...I like you too. Do you wanna go out sometime?"
Penny looked up at him with an almost blinding smile and tackleld him in a tight embrace. It was only after fifteen seconds of concentrated hugging that he managed to get out that she was being too tight, "Ah! My apologies...Boyfriend-Jaune!" She giggled. Her central core still thrummed pleasantly and her programs simulated a dopamine release, "I was simply excited. Should we do coitus now? While I like the proper parts, I believe my mouth can more than-"
"What?!" He shook his head, "Penny, no. Let's just...take it slow, okay? This is your first relationship, well, I don't wanna mess it up. Let's not rush into anything."
"I...understand. I simply got too excited."
"Hey, it's alright." He smiled and rubbed the top of her head, "Look, I promised Yang I'd help her out with her bike, but maybe we can continue this tomorrow? Like a proper date?"
"I would like that very much, yes."
"Great! Well...see ya." He leaned forward and kissed her right cheek. Penny's eyes widened, oddly surprised and embarassed despite her plans to give him far more than that just seconds prior. She could only watch as he left and sat down on his bed, her programs trying to find something to calm her down and process everything that was happening.
As always, the answer lied in the dustnet.
A search for 'boyfriend wants to take things slow' led to numerous websites. A search of over a hundred webpages led her to the conclusion that Jaune was what could be best described as 'sweet and vanilla', the 'nice guy' that was described in positive connotations rather than the ones in negative connotations who believed niceness entitled them to affection.
A few pages in particular drew her attention.
Apparently those with Jaune's characteristics had 'sub-like tendencies'. A search for more meaning into that led her to the Mistralian corner of the net where she found many...many illuminating pages described only as R18, "Oh my..." Penny absorbed all the information in a way only an AI could. The men in those pages and videos certainly seemed to enjoy themselves. Would Jaune be just as happy if she did those things to him? Many especially liked being what the pages described as 'pegged'.
Well, she wouldn't know until she tried. But first she had to make preparations.
Oof, Jaune's...not gonna have a good time dependent on how enthusiastic Penny is. Oh well, at least he's got a robo-girlfriend; man's riding the wave to the future right there.
Next omake will either be team YANDERE, team GENDERBEND, or team HENCHGIRL. For the latter I'm also considering replacing Ilia with Vernal. She fits the theme and wouldn't spend the entire chapter focused on Blake.
Questions:
1. Should I make chapters shorter, or at least the omake ones? Might help with people who don't have as much time to read and make it feel less bloated.
2. Besides team MILF (which is already finished), are there any past omakes you guys would be interested in getting sequels to? If so, what would you like to see?
Review Answers:
Chuck B. Winanaki - Salem wants to die, so she'd be trying to get back to Remnant. Also, Weiss didn't go for revenge either. She's also the only one who didn't abuse the power over life and death.
Waterdust5 - Blake's heart is in the right place, at least. And hell, by all facts Faunus are just inherently better than humans. Built-in nightvisions and varied benefits dependent on your trait. She's doing humanity a favor.
DemAN - He more or less is in various omakes. At the very least he's the only thing keeping team RWBY from going off the deep end. The second he leaves they either decide to take over Remnant or just nuke everything in a fifty mile radius.
