Naruto got up from his bed and went down for breakfast.

once he entered the living room, he saw his father's legacy standing upon the fireplace.

he scoffed at this.

'Kami dad, did you have a big head or something?'

"to be fair" Isobu said "you're father was the greatest hero in the 3rd shinobi war."

he scoffed again.

'anyways that doesn't matter, today's the day I become a jonin sensei.'

"I wonder what your students will be like?" Saiken said.

'we'll never know if I don't arrive.'

he then went to have breakfast.

as Naruto went to the academy, he suddenly noticed a red haired girl playing on a flute.

he smiled and went up to her "hey Tayuya."

Tayuya stopped playing her flute to look over to the blonde, she waved "hey Naruto, how are you doing?"

"my, my, a sentence without a curse? I'm impressed Tayuya."

Tayuya raised her middle finger "fuck you."

Naruto laughed "either way I'm doing well."

"nice to see both of you getting along."

Naruto and Tayuya turned to see another red haired girl, this one with glasses.

Naruto smiled "hey Karin, how are you doing?"

"I'm doing quite well, thank you for asking Naruto-sama." Karin said while readjusting her glasses.

"urgh, it's still weird hearing 'Naruto-sama'"

Tayuya looked at Naruto "well suck it up, you're the clan head of the fucking Uzumaki clan and you will be referred to as much."

Karin sighed "must you swear all the time?"

"yes."

Naruto sighed "well it was nice seeing you two again, but I have to go now, I'm a jonin sensei ya know?"

"bye Naruto."

"bye Naruto-sama."

Naruto entered through the door "team 7?"

three genin raised their hands.

"you're to meet me on the rooftop.

Naruto looked at his three genin.

"alright this is how this is going to work, we're going to go over some introductions, tell me your likes and dislikes, and any dreams that you have. I'll go first."

"I'm Namikaze-Uzumaki Naruto, I like ramen, my friends, training, and spending time with my friends. I dislike the 3 minutes that it takes to make ramen, and people who can't tell the difference between a scroll and a kunai. my dream is to become hokage."

he turned his look towards a young kunoichi that had long red orange hair and green eyes, she wore a outfit that reminded him of what Sakura wore when she was a genin, only the outfit was blue instead "you first."

"I'm Kurokami Akinen. I like spicy foods, my family, and reading. I don't have a whole lot of dislikes. my dream is to become the best kunoichi in my clan." she said.

'ah yes, if I remember she comes from a clan that's very small, similar to the Kurama clan. if I remember correctly, her clan specializes in fire jutsus.'

Naruto then looked at a boy with short light brown hair and brown eyes, who wore a sleeveless black and white jacket "you next."

"I'm Buronzu Rikisu. I like long walks, spending time with my friends, and darts. I hate the 3rd mizukage. my dream is the restoration of my clan." he said.

'ah, this must be the refugee from kiri that came. poor kid. anyways if I remember correctly, his kekkei genkai is bronze release?'

"it is." Kokuō said.

'thanks Kokuō.'

Naruto then turned to a boy with short black hair and black eyes with a very pale face, he wore a dark cloak that went all way down to his ankles "and lastly you."

"I'm Ryuken... no last name, if I ever had one" he muttered that last part "I have no particular likes or dislikes. and as for dreams... I don't have any." he said in a monotone way that almost made him sound like a robot.

Naruto looked sadly at the boy 'must be one of the poor kids that was taken under Danzo's root. I hope I can help him.'

"I'm sure that you will be able to." Saiken said.

'thanks Saiken.'

"okay, now. come tomorrow for the real genin test."

Rikisu looked at the blonde "what do you mean? we already passed the genin test."

Naruto shook his head "no you passed the test to see if you're capable of being genin. the ACTUAL genin test is tomorrow. meet me at training ground 7, and don't eat breakfast, you'll throw up."

"but that's not fair." Akinen said.

"the life of shinobi rarely is." Naruto said.

tomorrow had came, and team 7 was waiting for their sensei.

Ryuken spoke "I wonder what's taking him."

"tch. he is probably preparing the test for us." Rikisu said.

"I wonder what he'll have us do?" Akinen said.

"probably some kind of torture to see if we'll break." Ryuken said.

Akinen and Rikisu looked at the pale boy.

"what?"

Naruto then appeared "hey guys."

Akinen sighed "about time."

"hey if you're going to complain about me being late, I'll have you know that I had to wait for 3 hours for my sensei to arrive. if I can handle a few hours of lateness, then you can handle a few minutes and if you can't, then you don't deserve to be ninjas."

Rikisu scoffed "whatever, anyways let's start this test already."

Naruto smiled "very well" he then pulled out two bells "the idea is simple, try to get the bells before noon, and you pass."

"but there's only 2 bells." Rikisu said.

"oh, is now a bad time to tell you that only two of you are becoming genin?" Naruto asked while scratching the back of his head.

"WHAT!?" Rikisu and Akinen yelled.

Ryuken stared blankly.

Akinen grew a tick mark "oh come on, you can at least looked shock!"

Naruto laughed "either way, if you don't come at me with the intent to kill, you aren't getting the bells. oh and if you don't have any bells, you'll be tied up and watch as the others eat lunch."

they all nodded.

"ready?"

"set?"

"go!"

it has been a few minutes since the test started and none of them came at him yet.

Naruto sat there bored.

he then used sand to block a incoming attack from Rikisu.

he looked towards the boy with a now bronze arm.

"nice try." he then flung the kid away.

"fireball jutsu."

Naruto quickly dodged the attack.

"nice try."

the kunoichi grew a tick mark and ran at the blonde kunai in hand.

Naruto quickly flipped over behind her, and placed a kunai to her throat "bit of a hothead aren't you?"

Naruto then punched her, encasing her in coral.

it was then that Ryuken jumped out of a bush, tantō in hand.

the ex-root agent attempted to slash the boy, only to be met with a roundhouse kick.

Naruto then turned his attention to where the young kunoichi was ,only to noticed that she was gone.

he used his senses to find her, and found that Rikisu was currently trying to break her from the coral.

Naruto smiled.

Akinen was currently pouting.

she was tied up and was forced to watch as her teammates were enjoying lunch.

Naruto sighed "sorry Akinen, maybe next time. I'm going to go now. I'll be back. we'll continue to see if you two" he pointed at Ryuken and Rikisu "are going to be genin. remember that if any of you give her lunch, you'll fail."

as Naruto left. Rikisu looked at the tied up kunoichi.

her stomach was growling.

it reminded him of when kiri would starve them.

overcame with guilt, he offered his lunch to the kunoichi.

"what are you-" Ryuken was cut off.

"I don't care, she is starving and Naruto isn't coming back anytime soon."

Ryuken stood there.

"if letting others starve means I'm not worthy of being genin, then I don't want to be a shinobi."

Akinen watched there in silence.

"th-thank you."

As Rikisu fed Akinen, Ryuken stood there in silence.

After a while, Ryuken spoke "I guess that it'll be fine, so here." Ryuken then offered his lunch.

"YOU!"

team 7 looked at Naruto.

Naruto smiled "all pass."

silence.

"huh?" they all said.

Naruto then proceeded to tell them the true meaning of the test.

"thus you pass."

silence before celebration followed.

"come tomorrow for our first mission."

a half black, half white creature sprouted from the ground.

"is it time to strike?" the black half spoke.

"yes." said the masked man.
