Looking at each other were none other than Ben Tennyson from different points in time but they were younger, looking more like their sixteen year old self. The only things they still had were their Omnitrix on their wrists along with their clothes that fit perfectly as if de-aging also shrunk them. Well the first Ben had gauntlet-like Omnitrices while the second one had a sleek green watch and the last one had his Omnitrix fused to himself covering just his entire forearm with a black fingerless glove on.
All of them had the same question: Where are they? And also why are they younger.
"It seems you have awakened, Ben Tennyson," A voice spoke and they all held their watches actively waiting for something to happen. The voice chuckled seeing their startled expressions.
"Who are you and where are we?" The first Ben asked looking around the dark place they were being held.
"And why are we younger?" The second one asked. The third one stayed silent as he actively watched his surroundings.
"Who I am is irrelevant for now but where you are," The light then quickly switched on and they saw that they were in a large, and I mean large, arena with spectators high in the air roaring and cheering. All were aliens of different races as the Bens' looked still on edge.
"Is my playground," The voice said as the spectators cheered.
"This is nice and all but I have a wife and kid who are wondering where I am so if you would so kindly let us go," Ben looked at his alternate timeline counterparts, "And restore us to our proper timeline and bodies, please?"
"Mhmm," The voice thought it over for a bit, "Nope, here's your first challenge."
The crowd roared again in excitement while Ben sighed in defeat.
"Well, you tried, let's beat this challenge and get out," Ultimate Ben told him, getting ready and excited. He didn't have this kind of power when he was sixteen but now? He can't wait to test it out.
As the crowd roared and cheered, the Ben's wondered where their opponent was and before anyone could answer they were then teleported away from the arena to a wasteland that had an orange hue in the sky.
"Ok, what the hell?" All three of them asked at the same time but then a voice called out with excitement.
"This must be my lucky day to be able to kill not one but three Tennysons," They turned to face an armoured rhino with technologies they had seen before, it was Exoskull.
"Oh crap baskets," The third Ben faceplamed at the sight of an old foe he sent to prison how many times a week.
"Did not expect this, oh well," The first Ben grinned and held both his dual Omnitrix up and crossed them together but nothing happened all he got was an error, "Ok, what is happening with this stupid watch all of a sudden."
"I'll deal with him," The third Ben then dials his watch and was ready to go hero but stopped as he scrolled through his list of aliens he should have.
"Where are–"
"The rest of our aliens," Ultimate Ben finishes as he just finished going through his Omnitrix.
Exoskull chuckled to himself as steam hisses out of his body, "Looks like they didn't exactly explain everything to you Tennyson but allow me to enlighten you." His horn then charges up with power and he fires an energy beam at them but they dodged it and an explosion was set off in the distance.
"Better run Tennyson," Skull said and he took his stance and was ready to charge on all fours.
And they did run with a cybernetic enhanced rhino on their tails who will catch up to them in no time if they don't transform. Ben(first one) looked at his other self as they evaded energy blast after energy blast.
"So Skull, care to explain?" He asked the charging rhino but all he got was an energy beam passing by him, "Guess not," He mutters to himself then looking at his alternate selves, "How many aliens do you guys have?" He asked them…himself?(he should really give them nicknames)
"Three!" Both of them yelled out.
"Which do you have?"
Ben with the striped black and white t-shirt, military cargo pants and boots wearing the Omnitrix covering his entire forearm, spoke up, "Fourarms, Heatblast and XLR8. You?"
Ben with the hourglass grey and white t-shirt military cargo pants and boots wearing a sleek green Omnitrix watch spoke, "Diamondhead, Big Chill and Spider-Monkey. Your turn– Woah!" He nearly evaded the laser blast.
And finally the Ben wearing a green and white striped t-shirt, military cargo pants and boots wearing the dual Omnitrices on both forearms spoke, "Fourmangasour and Shocksquatch."
"Who?" They asked not knowing the alien name he spoke was an amalgamation of Fourarms and Humangasour combined.
"Never mind, we have to use what we got in our younger bodies so you," He pointed at Ben wearing the strip white and black t-shirt, "Are going to hold him down while you," He pointed at Ultimate Ben, "Freeze him in place and I'll deal the finishing blow."
"Who made you in charge?" Ben asked himself as he evaded another one.
"Who cares, just stop his movement's for me alright."
Ultimate Ben said as he activated his Omnitrix and an emerald glow surrounded his body for a second as the Omnitrix symbol was now on his chest but it was the Ultimatrix symbol. Tapping his chest a flash of emerald light shone briefly as Ultimate Ben grew Necrofriggian wings and hood taking off to the skies.
"Ok, that's new," Ben said and activated his own Omnitrix and transformed into Four Arms turning on his heel facing the charging rhino. All four limbs extended and ready to tackle the cybernetic rhino.
Exoskull laughed and headed for Tennyson with full speed and rammed into him but he held on gritting his teeth as his feet dug into the earth below. Using the strength of a tetramand, Ben holds him down just in time for Ultimate Ben to blow out an ice cold blizzard freezing Exoskull's legs. Seeing this Skull tried to launch a beam of energy but Fourarms grabbed the horn and broke it.
Stepping aside quickly before Exoskull could do anything else the last Tennyson transformed into a red skinned Vaxosaurian with four arms and eyes punching him with all his might knocking him back a few hundred yards.
"Oh, I see, it's Humungousour and Fourarms combined, clever naming." Ultimate Ben said levitating in front of them.
"But did you have punched him so far away, we could have questioned him about all this," Fourarms questions the hybrid alien.
"Later but for now we must survive this challenge first," Fourmungousour crossed his arms then looked at his alternate selves, "We need nicknames to better distinguish ourselves."
Ultimate Ben and Fourarms nodded their heads agreeing.
"Well, it's simple for what to call me," He points to the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest, "I'm Ultimate Ben, the problem lies with you two," He points at them.
"He's right and since you have dual Omnitrices, we can call you Dual Ben."
"Ugh, how about Bio-Ben since the Omnitrix is called the Biomnitrix allowing me to form fusions between two different aliens," He explained a bit about his watch and both Ben's just rolled with it.
"Alright, if that's what you want to call yourself," Fourarms flashed emerald green and he was back to being human, "So let's get this challenge over with any ideas on where to go."
Bio-Ben turned back human with Ultimate Ben following suit with the Ultimatrix symbol still on his chest.
"I saw some ruins north of here," Ultimate Ben pointed to his right, "I think that is north though."
"If that's north then we came from the east where Exoskull chased us," Ben said, placing a hand on his chin, "We need to get to him before he wakes up."
The heroes of their respective timelines made their way over to the unconscious cybernetic rhino and found nothing. He was gone leaving only the crater he made from Bio Ben's punch. Ultimate Ben and Ben gave him a glare but all he did was shrug his shoulders and they made their way to the ruins of a city.
With the ruined city, the orange hue sky and the wasteland, they all thought it was a ruined earth they were on. In an alternate dimension, of course. Ben and Bio-Ben tried to scan the planet but all they got was errors and unknown. They took shelter in what was once a shop but everything was so dusted and worn out they sat on the floor. Ben used Heatblast to make a campfire and they all sat around it.
In what can only be described as an awkward silence with Ben fiddling with his Omnitrix, Ultimate Ben whistling to himself and Bio Ben looking up at the ceiling bored as hell.
This never happened to either of the future Ben's. Sure they met their past/younger self which always had time travel shenanigans with them but never this. Never had alternate future Ben's met before and were in a crisis. Maybe if they wait a bit longer Paradox will show up and take them back to their own timeline. But first they need to figure out who kidnapped them.
"Do you guys have any idea who kidnapped us?" Ultimate Ben asked nonchalantly as if he wasn't bothered by being taken away from his time and also being turned younger.
"My guess it could be Eon or some other time traveller/dimension hopping being who wants to get his rocks off seeing us fight to live or survive," Bio-Ben answered looking at Ultimate Ben.
He groaned and stroked his shaveless face, he already misses his beard, "I don't think it's Eon, this doesn't scream kill Ben Tennyson or take over his body. I mean last time I fought the guy he had an army of Ninja Ben's at his side not to mention him saying he's us."
"But wouldn't Paradox have stopped this from happening given that we disappeared from our timelines."
"But we aren't Ben Prime so to speak, our future chances each time we meet our future self," He then points at Ben, "I met him when I was ten and helped him get over his edge lord problem while facing a revived Vilgax. Then I became Ultimate Ben with the Ultimatrix."
Ben raised a curious brow at his short lived tale. While he hasn't met his future self but met his past self he hasn't experienced this phenomena.
"So that's the Ultimatrix? Funny, Albedo had the same one but he changed fully into alien and not bits and pieces," Ben made his voice loud and clear for the others to hear, "He couldn't beat me with his inferior copy but he got away." Both Ultimate and Bio-Ben shivered at the thought of Albedo being hunted down by this version of themselves not to mention he might have killed the guy on a bad day.
"Well, mine is simple enough, I've met both of you, once when I was ten and Gwen kidnapped herself and the other time when I was fifteen. The hands of Armageddon were present along with you, Eon and Paradox," He points to Ultimate Ben making his point, "You get the rest but after meeting you I lost the Ultimatrix and got my hands on the Omnitrix that Azmuth made after beating Dagon then Vilgax," He proudly proclaimed. Beating an interdimensional being with a sword was one of Bio Ben's best moments in life right next to marrying Kai.
"Should have killed him."
"Not all of us are heartless, Ben."
"How did you get the Biomnitrix, though? Did you just decide that having two would be fun?" Ultimate Ben interrupted their argument before it happened.
He knew of Ben ending Vilgax's life in his timeline and yes while that does solve the problem not everything needs to die. It's one of the reasons Vilgax, in his timeline, is safely in prisoned where no one will find him. Took a long time to get him there but it was worth it.
Turning away from Ben and looking at Ultimate he answered, "Well, the idea came from seeing both versions of myself, you two, one of always serious while the other is lighthearted and cracks a joke so using my smartest aliens at the time I created the Biomnitrix to be able to have fun while creating unique fusions, I can still turn into regular aliens but often use the fusions as a way keep the fun going."
"Got to admit that sounds awesome," Ultimate Ben commented, "But the fusions sound a bit lame if you keep using the same two or three fusions again and again."
"Sounds to me like you've run out of ideas."
Bio Ben just sent him a glare but Ben ignored him. They already knew of his timeline, his future and what a jerk he used to be, he might not have changed since he's been cold towards… himself.
"Care to share, Ben," The guy might have tales they haven't heard off. Considering that he was supposed to be their future which meant that he never took the Omnitrix off and was in hero mode twenty-four seven.
Ben sighs taking his hand off the Omnitrix turning to face the fire, "Nothing to tell, you two know my story. Never took off the Omnitrix, built Omnitrix City, killed Vilgax, saved the Earth a few dozen times along with Planets across the solar system and beyond. Met my younger self and he set me straight."
"Not straight enough," Bio Ben muttered to himself and Ben glared at him.
"What was that?"
He held up his hands in surrender, "Nothing, just wondering what you were doing these last ten minutes. You know we can't get a read on this planet so why do you keep checking your Omnitrix?"
"Because we're on a hostile planet, kidnapped by some insane alien, deaged in younger bodies of ourselves, and not to mention I'm with an idiot who thinks this is a joke," Ben was already up on his feet looking down at Bio Ben who instantly stood up and met him at eye-level.
He laughed wholeheartedly, "I'm the idiot, I'm you, Ben or did you forget that already 'cause you were too busy brooding and not paying attention."
"I'm your future remember."
"I decided my own future."
"Shitty future if you ask me."
"Son of–"
"Ok, let's all calm down," Ultimate Ben stepped between the two.
Never in his life would he see himself arguing with himself over the future. Alright, once he gets back he's gonna need some therapy sessions because he can't deal with this enough. He didn't like his future self but that doesn't mean he wanted to punch his face. He gets where the two are coming from but this is ridiculous.
Pushing them apart Ultimate Ben looked between the two seeing their watches active and ready to transform at any moment. As much as he wanted to see a battle between trix users, they are in uncharted ground and an enemy can jump them at any moment.
"You both know this is ridiculous right?" He asked looking between the two, "Fighting against yourself with a limit of three aliens and seeing as Fourmungousour is two aliens in one, your odds aren't so good," The last statement was for Ben who has three of the original aliens they began with while he himself didn't have heavy hitters at the moment.
"I get why you're on edge, we're in unknown territory which means we could get jumped on," Ben slowly nodded his head, emerald eyes still glaring at himself.
"And you're being an idiot at times – which sounds like an insult to myself – when you should be serious and not pick fights," Bio Ben still held his gaze at his once future self.
"If we're going to survive and get out of here then we need each other and rely on ourselves," Is this what Grandpa Max and Gwendolyn had to deal with all those years ago?
Once he gets back he's gonna give them a hug and apologise for all the stupidity he's done over the years.
Sighing and putting down his hands scratched the back of his head in frustration at his immaturity, "Look the sooner we can get out of here the sooner we don't have to see each other again. What do you say?"
Both Ben nodded their heads in agreement but Bio Ben spoke up, "Sure, besides I'm still holding onto hope that Paradox will show up and explain everything." Ben facepalmed but didn't say much after that. He went back to his spot and sat down fiddling with his watch again.
So far so good.
The day went by slowly and after that run-in with Exoskull it didn't seem like the alien Bounty hunter was after them. Was all of this a game to whoever it was that took them? And if Exoskull was here then there might be more of their past villains here. Night time came and it surprised the trio of heroes. When on the enemy ship – they hoped it was a ship and not something else – there wasn't any outside light, just the stage lights and the audience.
They were prepared for wild animal's but didn't expect men in metal armour with swords, lances, guns and shields to appear once they were taking a rest.
It happened just as night struck with the campfire lighting their little living area as Bio Ben evaded a slash and quickly transformed into Shocksquatch sending out an electric punch toward the knight. More and more came after the one was down. Ben transformed into Heatblast, his two volcanic shoulders erupting as he launched two sets of fireballs at his enemy and began fighting them off.
Before Ultimate Ben could press the symbol on his chest a knight manages to grab his arm and hold him in a vice grip as another comes with his sword unsheathed ready for the kill but they underestimate what he could do when not using his powers.
As the Knight went in for a swung Ultimate Ben leaned forward with all his strength as the Knight holding him was sending over his shoulder then slashed through his armour. He recovered quickly and sent a few fast punches towards the enemy's head then landed a gut punch and finally an axe hammer.
More surrounded him but he tapped the Ultimatrix as a blue monkey's tail appeared from behind him. The Knights charged in but he evaded it with quick ease and fired webbing at their feet. Once he landed he shot quick and precise strikes at them all the while dodging their attacks.
Shocksquatch and Heatblast were firing a mixture of electricity and fire at their opponents as the former charged forward and slammed both fists onto the ground letting out an intense electric shockwave.
Melting their weapons was no problem then blasting them with flames was even better. He grabbed two of them and headbutt them against each other.
It was quick and intense, no witty remarks or snarky comeback they meant business. Dragging them to a corner and tying them up with Spider-Monkeys web was the easier part, the hard part came to make them talk.
Shocksquatch and Heatblast looked at Ultimate Ben funny, they know he can't fully transform but just seeing him use a part of an alien's power was gonna be getting used to.
Opting to make sure there weren't any more Knights, Ultimate Ben switched to Big Chill letting the dark blue hood and wings escape his back as it wrapped around him and he went intangible leaving the two alone with the Knights.
Thinking the same they stayed in alien form for the time being as Shocksquatch kneeled down to their level and tapped one of the Knights' helmets.
"Uh, didn't expect Forever Knights to show up in a place like this," The infinity symbol was embedded into every Knights armour even their general's had them but looking closely Heatblast saw a familiarity to them.
"Oh, no," He gasped out in disbelief as he moved closer to the Knights inspecting them and looking at their weapons with his magna hands. Letting out a sigh, Heatblast set down the weapons in a pile together then blasted them with fire melting them away.
"Woah, you okay, it's just the Knights, no biggie," He told pyronite.
But he shook his head, "To you it might be no biggie but if the Knights are here then so is the Forever King."
"You mean Driscoll? Really him? He's not a threat in the slightest," Shocksquatch laughter was like a static on television but Heatblast didn't laugh.
He sent an icy glare towards the Gimlinopithecus and he shut up immediately.
"Alright," He walks up to the magma alien, "Then tell me what's so dangerous about this Forever King, hey."
Ultimate Ben fases through the floor of the shop still wrapped in Big Chill's wings and hood, "Alright, just finished sweeping the proximity and there weren't any Knights, ugh, what's going on?"
"Forever Knights," He jabbed his thumb at them, "And I know who leads them, come on we don't have much time before they send more."
Following Heatblast's lead they exited through the back door of the shop and not even five minutes later they heard voices shouting from behind them. Guess the Knights were prepared in advance but where were they hiding, is what Ultimate Ben asked himself. Stopping short at an alleyway Heatblast took charge and signalled for them to stay quiet.
Within moments footsteps came be heard as they approached the Tennyson trio but Heatblast was then tackled down onto the ground by the enemy. Two more lunged at them but Ultimate Ben turned intangible as the enemy passed through him freezing on contact while Shocksquatch electrified the enemy and kicked them away.
It landed on all fours revealing a hound but part of its skin was torn off revealing metal underneath it. Jumping forward the hound prepares to strike but it's frozen solid by Ultimate who gives him a thumbs up.
A flash of heat passes by them as Heatblast dragged the now smoked hound by the snot and threw it aside looking irritated.
Ultimate Ben whistles, "Someone's in a bad mood."
Heatblast brushes past them then in a flash of emerald light transformed into XLR8, "We need to move before they send more."
Choosing to turn back to human Bio Ben points to the hounds that just tried to attack them.
"We just trashed their hounds, I'm pretty sure we can handle a few more Knights," He said confidently with his arms crossed, "So we can wait for them to appear then we ambush them or…" He pauses for dramatic effect looking at Ben, "...are you afraid of them?"
XLR8 scoffs underneath its faceplate and turns his back to them, "The Knights may be different in your timeline but in mine they're fierce and show no mercy, why do you think I've turned into a jerk? I didn't just wake up one day and decide that, it was a choice."
Bio Ben listened closely to his words and realised there must be a reason why this Ben chooses to flee rather than fight them. The Forever Knights had been a joke ever since Dagon was beaten and they had to try and reclaim their glory days.
"...Fine but one of you has to carry me, I don't have access to a flight or speed form," He told them, which is really unfair in his case.
Ultimate Ben and Ben looked at each other and the ladder sighs as he approached Bio Ben. Quickly he carried him bridal style and sped off with Ultimate Ben extending his wings and following suit.
Keeping to the skies, Ultimate Ben saw the ruins from a bird eye view and it looked like a city once stood here. Between that, the orange hue in the sky and the fact that there were two moons yelled out alien planet but why could nether Omnitrices get a reading on the planet's information. Is there an electro- magnetic field around the planet that prevents them from scanning it?
Or is the person in charge controlling everything from Exoskull to the Forever Knights and now Forever King. And for whatever reason all three Ben's from different futures were brought here. The more Ultimate Ben thought about it the more of a headache it became and he's mentally forty. He can't deal with time travel and alternative Ben's right now.
XLR8 stopped at a busted down bridge underneath it and Ultimate Ben flew down and landed on the ground with his wings wrapped around his body. In a flash of emerald light Four Arms appeared standing with Bio Ben on the ground dusting himself off.
"Thanks for the lift."
"Don't mention it," He shot back as his four eyes looked back to the ruined city. He didn't like this one bit. Exoskull was one thing but the Forever King was different, way different.
"Are you going to explain or leave us in the dark?" His four eyes' turned to face Ultimate Ben who had asked him. Both him and Bio Ben were waiting for an explanation as to what's happening and why he is on edge.
"The Forever Knights, especially the Forever King didn't just simply die out when I defeated Driscoll," His eyes downcasted a little, "They expanded, grew from that experience and started being more deadly. They started by electing a new Forever King and he wasn't kind in any way."
"...What happened?" Ultimate Ben didn't want to ask but the words just left his mouth.
Closing his eyes trying to suppress the memory he swore he wouldn't bring up again, that he would make sure no kid would ever go through what he had.
"They kidnapped mom and dad and told me to choose between them or thousands of innocent civilians. I couldn't decide at first but I chose complete strangers over my parents…" He clenched his four fists in fury.
"I ran as fast as I could to get to them but it wasn't enough, I managed to save dad but mom, she…" Four Arms yelled out in anger and punched the concrete pillar and destroyed part of it.
"... I spent months after that searching for him trying to find a lead but nothing came up. I became the jerk of a hero you know so well."
"Who's the Forever King?"
"I don't know. Spent years facing him but never once did he tell me his name."
"I'm sorry for your loss," Bio Ben approached the hulking tetramand, "But this time you will bring him down 'cause you got us," He points to himself and Ultimate.
Four Arms smiled when he said that he didn't put much trust in people after his mom died and always preferred doing it alone even if Gwendolyn was being a pain in the ass. But after meeting his past self and releasing it was unhealthy to stay alien twenty four seven he started opening up again.
Before either he or anyone else could voice their concern the bridge they were under started to levitate as a dark purple glow surrounded it.
Crossing the Biomnitrix together Bio Ben turned into Fourmungousour and Ultimate tapped his chest, his arms and feet are then covered in taydenite that significance him using his petrosapien form. Instantly stone golems with a golden glow appeared before them and started charging.
Fourmungousour and Four Arms both rushed in and smashed the rock golems while Ultimate Ben using Diamondhead's abilities shifted his arms into swords and slashing at his opponents. He fired crystal shards but all they did was penetrate their stone skin and fire won't do much if it's not strong enough.
That gives him an idea as he then fired a few shards but then spoke in latin as the shards glowed pink tealish making contact on the stone golems but then exploded.
Ah! It worked! He tested it out in theory but didn't think it would actually work.
Ben and Bio Ben were smashing through the golems and tag teaming them, slamming them into each other letting out a thunderous clap with their four limbs. Bio Ben was having a blast just smashing them together but Ben was on edge and knew this would attract the Forever King and his Knights.
Seeing their numbers dwindling Ben turned into XRL8 and speed blitzed the remaining creatures using his sharp claws and tail. Once finished all that was left were piles of rocks on the ground.
But just as the golems were beaten the sky above turned cloudy as a storm started to form and lightning shot down at them.
Thinking quickly and letting the transformation fade Ultimate Ben spoke out in latin again as a large pink energy shield appeared before him blocking the attack. Sparks flew as he held the shield together making sure it wouldn't crack gritting his teeth tight.
Both Ben and Bio Ben looked at him amazed but it was the former who was most impressed.
"You can use magic?"
"Y-Yeah, learned it from Gwendolyn," He grunted and felt the attack's power increase, "I can't hold it for much longer." He brought his right hand towards his chest ready to use Diamondhead's power again.
"Right, save the questions for later," Bio Ben palmed his fists and just looking at Ben they already had a plan in motion.
Slamming the Biomnitrix, Bio Ben turned into Shocksquatch as both he and XLR8 ran to the sides. Ultimate Ben then let the shield break as he rolled to the front and tapped the Ultimatrix back in his petrosapien form.
More and more lighting stuck from the clouds as XLR8 dodged with ease, Bio Ben absorbed the mystical thunder and Ultimate Ben fired crystal enhanced shards from one hand while the other acted as a shield.
Seeing the bridge still above their heads XLR8 used the remaining debris as a ramp jumping to get up there as he sped up the bridge and jumped as high as possible.
Switching to Heatblast, he propelled himself using his flames from his hands. Once above the clouds he saw a figure in the middle of the storm. Its head was on fire like a pyronite's as it resembled a turtle surrounded by magical energy.
Seeing his target Heatblast dove straight downwards expelling more flames going down faster. Before he connects with his target he switches to Four Arms roaring as he punches the Geochelone Aerio in its back back all fours.
The clouds disperse and the lightning stops shooting, Ultimate Ben and Bio Ben look up seeing Ben and someone unknown shot towards the ground like a meteorite created a small dust cloud but it was Ben jumping out of it first and landing on his feet crouched.
"Did you get him?" Shocksquatch asked unsure if the enemy would go down in one hit but Four Arms shook his head and just readied himself.
The dust settled as the figure walked out unscathed revealing Adwaitya, Former Ruler of Leager Domain with his head covered in purple flames and a rune around his neck. The Alpha Rune.
"Ben Tennyson, it's good to see you again, my old enemy," The magical Geochelone Aerio spoke out happily as if he was truly glad to see Ben again.
Ultimate Ben sighed and shifted his arms into lances, "Nice to see you too, Addwaitya, how's life? I see you escaped Charmcaster's wrath and stole the Rune again. Gwendolyn won't like hearing any of this." He muttered the last part to himself as he and his alternate counterparts took a stance ready to fight.
