The disclaimer telling you that I don't own any Ghosts characters is playing hide and seek. Just some madness from my tiny mind.

Found You

It was another afternoon at Woodstone Mansion but it was far from a quiet one. At least from one side of the Astral Plane. The other side was a little louder.

"Why can't we turn the TV on?" Alberta demanded as the house ghosts stood in the living room. "Sam and Jay aren't home and there are no guests in the mansion. Either Trevor can push the remote or I can use the Alexa to do so. So why Pete did you promise Sam we wouldn't watch TV?"

"And another query," Isaac huffed. "Who said you had the authority to make such a promise?"

"Good point," Trevor nodded.

"Hear, hear," Nigel added at the same time.

Hetty spoke up. "As the lady of the house I should have definitely been consulted!"

"You could have at least discussed it with the rest of the group," Sasappis added.

"First of all," Pete began. "Sam disconnected the Alexa from the TV. She didn't want a repeat of the incident when Alberta kept changing the channel in front of the guests."

Alberta defended herself. "Those fools were half drunk from that stupid jam festival and I wanted to watch the Aquaman movie! They didn't notice!"

Pete pleaded. "Look guys, it's just for a few hours while Sam and Jay run some errands. She was just worried that we were getting a little too dependent on the TV…"

"Well, it's easy for Samantha to criticize us," Isaac huffed. "As a living who can actually touch things, do activities, and leave the property. We ghosts however…Our activities are a tad limited!"

"If Samantha ever becomes a ghost," Hetty remarked. "Remind me to point out this particular folly the next time she wants to watch television!"

"Look we can do something else…" Pete suggested.

"Like what?" Isaac asked. "Play pickleball?"

"Technically we could play volleyball," Flower suggested. "If we can find Crash's head."

"When was the last time anyone saw it?" Alberta asked.

"I think it was over a year ago," Sasappis recalled. "I've seen his body stumbling around in the woods…"

"We really should look for him one of these days," Trevor admitted.

"I know!" Pete called out. "How about we play a game of hide and seek? We haven't played that game in years!"

"With good reason!" Isaac groaned along with the other ghosts.

"The last time we did that Flower forgot we were playing and we were stuck hiding for almost three days!" Hetty bristled.

"Fine, I'll be the one who's it," Trevor volunteered. "Happy?"

Hetty thought for a moment. "Fine. If Trevor is it, I'll play."

"Oh, all right," Isaac sighed. "If we must."

"Okay Trevor you cover your eyes and count to a hundred," Pete instructed.

"I know how to play hide and seek Pete!" Trevor interrupted.

"We all hide in the mansion only," Pete kept instructing. "No going outside. The last one found is the winner. Okay?"

"Guys it won't be that bad," Trevor promised. None of the other ghosts noticed a secret wink he gave Hetty.

"If we must," Hetty said with authority. "Never let it be said that I don't contribute to group activities."

"Whatever," Alberta groaned.

"Fine," Nigel sighed.

"I hate my afterlife," Sasappis grumbled.

"Okay I'll start," Trevor turned around and closed his eyes. "One…Two…Three…"

Most of the other ghosts left in a hurry. Hetty pretended to leave but came back when the other ghosts scattered. Trevor opened his eyes and saw her. He kept counting. "Four…Five…Six…"

Hetty leaned somewhat against the doorframe, well as far as she could go without going through the wall. Trevor smirked and kept counting. "Seven, eight, nine…" He then walked through the wall.

Hetty blinked in confusion. She went to peek in the room. Trevor popped out of the wall and grabbed her from behind.

Hetty giggled and almost shrieked when Trevor whirled her around and gave her a passionate kiss. "Found you," Trevor grinned.

"This was your plan, wasn't it?" Hetty smirked.

"Pretty much," Trevor shrugged. "Technically playing hide and seek was Pete's idea. I was just looking for an opportunity to be it."

"You certainly are it," Hetty grinned. "You're not going to look for the others, are you?"

"Why would I?" Trevor purred. "When you're the one I want."

"Oh Trevor," Hetty purred back.

"Best of all," Trevor grinned. "We won't be interrupted for a while."

"You mean…?" Hetty realized. "Here? In the living room?"

"Yeah," Trevor grinned.

"It is a novel idea to have sex someplace other than the basement closet," Hetty smirked.

"Ready or not," Trevor smirked as he lowered her onto the couch. "Here I come…"

Meanwhile…Up in Sam and Jay's room. Their closet to be precise.

"Thor…" Sasappis groaned as the two ghosts stood in the closet. "You know you can hide in another area, right?"

"Yes," Thorfinn admitted. "But Thorfinn really didn't feel like waiting alone."

"Oh, all right," Sasappis sighed. "It is a good hiding place. Trevor won't find us in here!"

That was when Isaac and Nigel walked through the closet door. "Oh! I see this closet is occupied," Nigel blinked.

"You're right Sass," Thorfinn remarked. "Trevor didn't find us in here."

"What are you doing in Samantha and Jay's closet?" Isaac asked.

"The same thing you are," Sasappis told them.

"Well, you need to get out before Trevor starts looking for us," Isaac ordered.

"Look we found this hiding place first!" Sasappis snapped. "If anyone goes it's you two!"

"Yeah!" Thorfinn added.

Alberta then entered the closet. "Oh great," She grumbled. "What are y'all doing here?"

Isaac looked at her. "We're having a scientific experiment on how many ghosts can fit in a closet. What do you think?"

Pete then entered the closet. "Oh…Hey. I thought just Alberta was in here."

"No, I'm not," Alberta grumbled.

"Unbelievable," Sasappis groaned. "This mansion has at least a dozen other rooms and a dozen other closets and everybody chose this one!"

"Excellent group activity Peter," Nigel remarked.

"Thor and I got here first," Sasappis told them. "The rest of you need to find your own spaces."

"We can't," Isaac hissed. "Trevor must have stopped counting by now! If we go out into the hallways, he could find us!"

"Then go through the walls!" Sasappis snapped.

"Look there's nothing in the rules that say we all can't stay here," Pete suggested. "I think…"

"So we're all just gonna stand here and Trevor will find us all in one swoop?" Alberta snapped. "Great plan!"

"We're not all here," Pete said. "Flower and Hetty aren't here anyway."

"That's because Hetty's too smart to pick a hiding place where she'd be easily found," Alberta pointed out. "And Flower…Who knows where that girl's gone?"

Meanwhile…

In the kitchen came giggling from the refrigerator. "He, he, he! They'll never find me in here! Ooh I can smell butter! Why am I smelling butter? Oh right, I'm in a refrigerator. That explains why the little light is out. I always wondered about that."

Back to the closet…

"Look we can't all stay in the closet!" Isaac hissed. "Nigel and I will stay in here and the rest of you go!"

"No, I was here first!" Sasappis snapped. "Thor can stay with me and the rest of you go!"

"Why don't you idiots shout a little louder?" Alberta snapped. "Trevor can probably hear you downstairs!"

"Look we can't all stay in here," Sasappis groaned.

"Thorfinn have idea," Thorfinn spoke up. "We all leave closet at same time! That fair!"

"He's right," Nigel admitted. "It's the only fair thing to do."

"Okay fine," Isaac sighed. "On the count of three, we all leave the closet and find another hiding space? Okay?"

"Okay. Fine. Whatever," The other ghosts sighed. "I agree."

"On the count of three," Isaac said. "One. Two. Three!"

The ghosts ran out of the closet through both the door and the walls. Less than a minute later all the ghosts ran back into the closet. "OH, COME ON!" Sasappis shouted.

"Wow," Thorfinn grumbled. "Thorfinn thought that would really work."

"You mean tricking us all to leave and you and Sass would get the closet to yourselves?" Alberta asked bitterly.

"Hey! You ran back here too!" Pete pointed out.

"So did you!" Alberta snapped.

"I was following you!" Pete said. "I thought you had a better hiding spot!"

"Will everyone please be quiet!" Isaac hissed. "I heard something!"

Everyone stopped talking. After a few minutes passed. "Is he out there?" Alberta whispered.

"I don't know," Isaac whispered. "Pete poke your head out and look."

"And have us all get caught?" Sasappis hissed back.

"Well, we need to know if Trevor is out there," Isaac protested.

"Then you poke your head out," Pete challenged Isaac.

"I'm not poking my head out!" Isaac protested. "I am the commanding officer here!"

"I beg your pardon," Nigel looked at him.

"Well, you're excluded of course," Isaac told Nigel. "I meant the others!"

"Did you though?" Sasappis asked.

"Don't you start stirring up drama!" Isaac glared at him.

"Don't you hang out in my hiding spot!" Sasappis snapped.

"Our hiding spot!" Thorfinn snapped.

"I don't see your name on it!" Alberta challenged.

"Will someone please look outside and see if Trevor is out there?" Pete asked.

"You do it!" Alberta snapped.

"Why me?" Pete asked.

"Why not you?" Sasappis challenged.

"Hey if this is your hiding spot you should do it!" Pete challenged back.

Isaac spoke up. "Pete does have a point."

Sasappis paused. "Technically this is Thor's and my spot so…"

"Oh, now you admit it!" Thorfinn snapped.

By now Trevor and Hetty were standing at the foot of the stairs. "Those idiots are so loud we could probably hear them outside," Hetty groaned. "This is why we can't play hide and seek."

"They're kind of too loud now to do it in the living room again," Trevor remarked. "Wanna do it downstairs on the washing machine?"

"It won't have the panache of the old one but…" Hetty paused. "Perhaps however we should go find them and let them out of the closet?"

"Really?" Trevor sighed.

"No," Hetty snickered. Soon she and Trevor were laughing.

"Good one!" Trevor laughed.

"I thought so," Hetty laughed. "To the laundry room!" They scurried away.

Back in the closet…

"No, you need to leave! No, you leave!" The ghosts snapped at each other.

"Quiet!" Alberta hissed. "Someone's coming!"

The ghosts stood still, not making a sound. Until…

"Boy who would have thought that hide and seek could be so suspenseful?' Pete whispered.

"SHHHHHH!" The other ghosts shushed him.

About another hour later Sam and Jay had returned home and were starting to put groceries away. Sam opened the refrigerator to put away some berries when she saw Flower. "AAAH!"

"Hi Sam!" Flower said cheerfully.

"Flower," Sam sighed. "Why are you in the refrigerator?"

"I'm in the refrigerator?" Flower blinked. "Oh yeah. I am. That explains why it's cold. And I can smell the butter."

"Flower, can you get out of the refrigerator?" Sam sighed.

"Oh sure," Flower nodded as she did so. "Why was I in there?"

"I have no idea," Sam told her.

"Okay," Flower shrugged.

"Flower was in the refrigerator again," Sam told Jay. "I have no idea why."

"Was she smelling the butter?" Jay asked. "You told me she does that."

"I do!" Flower beamed.

Sam decided to simply ignore it. "Babe I'm gonna go put some of these extra tissue boxes we got in our closet."

"Good idea," Jay nodded. "This allergy season is a real pain."

Soon Sam was in her bedroom carrying a four-box package of tissues. She opened the closet to a surprise.

"Hello!" Isaac said cheerfully.

"What are you guys doing in my closet?" Sam shouted.

"Funny story…" Isaac paused. "By the way we need to talk about you updating your wardrobe."

"GET OUT!" Sam pointed.

"Okay! We're going! We're going!" Pete gulped.

"This never would have happened if you just let us watch TV," Sasappis pointed to Sam.

"OUT!" Sam shouted and pointed. The ghosts scattered. "Just once I'd like a normal day around here."
