This update contains Goten's new transformation which is based on my own imagination.

Days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months, up until now, the mess that the God created wasn't finished yet. None of the Gods are lowering their prides. The whole duration of the training bored Goten the most. Never in his life that training bores him but right now, he is itching to go home. He didn't know why but he really wanted to go back to earth and lay on his bed all day. He doesn't even understand how Gohan, and the others enjoy this. Whis is the one training them, while his father and Vegeta were both trained by Lord Beerus.

He shook his head when he spotted Trunks and Gohan - sparring in front of Whis. The foods here in this planet sucks as well. He missed his mom's foods. He'll make sure to eat a lot of foods made by his mom when he get home.

"Hey, Goku's kid!"

Goten wanted to glare and not look back if it's not Lord Beerus. He wanted to shout "I have a name and it's not Goku's kid!" but he refraned himself. He's talking to the God of Destruction.

"Do you want to try your power on me?" Lord Beerus eyed him as he said that.

For awhile, Goten was confused. His forehead knotted. Clearly, he ain't the best fighter here. If there's someone who would received this kind of honour is his dad or Vegeta. They mastered the ultra instinct and Ultra Ego, those were power of Gods. While Goten can only transform into Super Saiyan 3. Trunks have reached the state of Gods as well, as he can now transform into Super Saiyan God. He never pitied himself cause he slacked off in training. It never bothered him if Trunks gets stronger than him. In fact, he was even proud of his best friend. At least with Krilin in here, he ain't the last, but second to the last.

"I still want to see my mom after this. So, I would refuse." He walked passed Lord Beerus who only smirked at him.

Okay, so what's wrong with this God - looking like dog?

"Why? Are you scared of death?" Beerus chuckled.

Beerus knows where to hit him as the way he laughed enrages Goten. Rage surges in his veins. This must be his Saiyan instincts or probably that PRIDE that Vegeta kept on blubbering. He balled his fist. His breathing ragged. He tried controlling himself but to no avail, his breathing isn't steady.

No, his mom would never want this, said his internal thought. She hated it when he transform into super Saiyan form. He can recall, how he called her a monster way back when he turned into a super saiyan at 6. Though, she never really meant those words, it hurts. But those were in the past now and he had forgotten those.

He breathed - trying to calm his nerves. Even when he can feel that tingly feeling near the back of his neck, he calmed down. Looking back, he smiled at Beerus.

'I won't give you the liberty to humiliate me, asshole'.

"You know, I won't die easily Lord Beerus. I won't let anyone have the liberty to kill me. I refused to be killed in a battle."

He was about to walk passed him again when Beerus said something that triggered everything he had been holding on. The rage he's suppressing surges up once again and this time, it's out of control.

The tension is thick. Goten can feel it. Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and eyed Goten and Beerus. He can see his father's eyes. Gohan's and Trunks' as well.

"Refusing a God? Are you trying to get earth into destruction?"

What happens next is out of his control. His saiyan instinct took over him as he grabbed Beerus on the collar of his piece of a clothe. Blazing eyes, raging anger and in a super Saiyan 2 mode, he tried choking the God of Destruction. Beerus was just smirking at him, feeling like he won a bet. Well, he won in angering him. He got him out of control. Goten cursed.

"I don't fucking care about you being a God, but I'll kill you right now. Right here."

"Goten..." He heard his brother's voice from behind. He realized he rushed to his side.

He let go of Beerus. His nerves aren't calm yet but thanks to Gohan, he snapped out of it. He wanted to at least punch the God of destruction straight to the nose. He wanted to erase the smirk playing on his lips.

"Does this mean, you're accepting the challenge?"

He grinned at Beerus before lifting his brow.

"Uh, huh! I just want to remind you that I refuse to die in a battle."

Gohan went near him. "Goten, are you nuts? Why did you accept his challenge?"

Goten rolled his eyes. Obviously, Gohan will never understand him for he hasn't heard anything about what Beerus had said earlier. If he'd hear him threaten the earth, he'll go kill him as well. But he had no time explaining things to Gohan right now. He just wanted this to be done. This day won't end with a smirk on that God's lips. He will make him bleed.

Goten was aware of Beerus' power but who gives a damn about their gap power? He was Saiyan and he'll probably have a chance. If his father can't beat Beerus, then he probably won't have a chance at all, but he won't let him win. Over his dead body.

When his eyes averted to his father, he saw the glint in his eyes. Come to think of it, he and Goku hadn't talked seriously since then. He finds it awkward to talk to him. Surely, they talked but those were just casual talks and they either with everyone or with Gohan. He finds it hard to even look at him especially when he thinks about how he just flew with Uub - leaving him and his mother. Despite the fact that he had forgiven him, the pain remains intact inside his heart.

Goku tapped his shoulders - probably trying to cheer him up cause he'll end up six feet under.

"I'll be okay, Dad. Beerus will probably not kill me."

Goku smiled at him. "Nuh, but he won't hold back on you either. So, surpass your limit, Goten. You will learn a lot from him."

"Dad, are you serious?"

Once again, he glared at Gohan. He's over thinking again.

"Let him do this, Gohan. Goten is not a kid. He can handle himself."

"But mom will get mad --" Gohan stopped midair when the two saiyans looked at him sternly. Gohan breathed.

"Fine! Do whatever you want." Then Gohan left the two of them together.

"Gohan would always look like Chichi when he nags." Laughed Goku and for the first time, Goten finds comfort in that laugh. He missed his dad.

"I miss you, dad." He finally admitted. Goku smiled at him.

"I don't know what to say, Goten." Goku said - sounding guilty.

"It's okay. You don't have to say anything. I understand. I understand why you love the battle field and most especially why you chose to train with Uub. I'm totally fine with that."

He tried to assure his dad. Sometimes, his father's naivety hurts them but what can he do? He's his father and that won't change anything. He'll just accept everything about him.

Goten was never scared. He was even excited of this fight. The urge to punch Beerus straight to his nose is still present. He will not let this day end without making it happen. He'll have to punch him in the nose one way or another.

Goten and Beerus stood up in the sky, side to side as they wait for each other's attack. Beerus was calm but Goten was feeling the opposite. He isn't calm. He was itching to punch him straight to his nose. Since, the God of Destruction seemed to be just waiting for his moves, Goten took the opportunity and landed a punch in his face but he realized, it has no effect on him. In fact, just right after his attack, Beerus landed an upward kick into his stomach - making him choke out blood in his mouth.

That asshole! It was humiliating but it sure hurts. so, this is a God's kick? Interesting!

Goten started throwing punches from punches to Beerus which the opposite kept on dodging like he was just playing a very plain ball dodging. The calmness of the Lord of destruction enrages Goten and so he transformed into a super Saiyan 2, and started attacking him again. When he got the opening, Beerus landed a punch and a kick to his stomach once again - ending him up in the land with his blood flowing out of his mouth. The punch and the kick hurts his whole body. He feels like as if though he was getting shred into pieces.

He had probably used all his stamina but he hadn't landed a good punch at him. He hated to admit it, but he felt weak and useless.

"Is that all what you got, Goten? You're a disgrace to our race!" He heard Vegeta shouted. He closed his eyes - trying to not get Vegeta's insults get to him. Who gives a fuck about the Saiyan race? He is Chichi's son and he's a human for God's sake!

"This happened because Kakarot left you to your weakling of a mother and turned you into a weak earthling like her!"

Goten balled his fist at what Vegata had said to his father. A weakling, huh? He laughed like a maniac. He's a weakling?

Everyone in the field looked at Goten as he laughed like a maniac. How dare him say that her mother is a weakling when the strongest man in universe 7 can't even face her? How dare him say that his mother is a weakling when she raised him and Gohan for years alone? Surely, Vegeta is not the one to say anything about being weak when he, himself used to be weak against Freeza.

"Says the man who can't even hold his son for years until he realized he won't be able to!" He spits those words with venom.

"I was probably weaker than you as of now, Vegeta but that doesn't mean, it will stay like that forever. I am Son Goku's son and my power is boundless!"

"What did you say?!" Vegeta yelled - angrier than usual.

Before Goten can even stand up, Beerus had landed punches at him. The pain is unbearable but he refused to give up. No, he won't never give up after all the insults he received from Vegeta. He was used to his mouth, but this one enrages him and at the same, the only thing that pushes him in his limit.

Numerous punches followed and he can no longer dodge. Using his arms, he tried covering his face from punches but it still landed on either on his neck or on the side of his face.

"I hate to say this, but aren't you ashamed - coming here, joining this battle, leaving your crying mother at home, only to be humiliated? You could have stayed at home, Kid! Your mother worried for a weakling like you!!!"

Goten stopped dodging. He stopped moving. He stopped covering his face - giving Beerus the liberty to land more punches and kicks to him. Those words he said affected him. It numb him to the core.

He suddenly wonder why he was there in the first place. Clearly, he won't be of any help at all. His father, Vegeta, Gohan, and Trunks are already enough to fight bunch of strong guys by Super Saiyan God and even in blue form, while he got nothing to offer. He was pathetic. He remembered his mother's face when he left her on earth. The tears on her eyes and how pain crossed her eyes the moment he said those awful words to her. His breathing is ragged. He felt like his lungs lost its oxygen.

He felt himself, his body rather giving up.

"You have to be strong Goten and so you can always come home to me."

"But mom, was Dad weak? Why he didn't come home after the battle with Cell?"

"Your father is the strongest person in the universe, but he isn't strong enough to come home to us. But as I've always told you, everyone had their own reasons why. So, promise me you would always come home to me, Goten?"

Memories of her mom - training him, feeding him, taking care of him, loving him flashed inside his mind. The urge to survive reached to its highest peak. Heat slowly coming out of his palm, from his body and he can feel his body getting too light.

"What's going on? Goten?! Goten!" He can hear his brother's voice. He doesn't have an idea what's going on as well. He can only feel the massive energy coming out of his soul and is enveloping him whole.

As he looked at his surroundings, he realized how clear his vision is. It felt like he was using a magnifying eyes as he can see almost everything in 360 degrees. His senses got stronger and sharper. He can even hear things properly. His eyes then shifted to his form.

Shining dark red hair, red and a bit of grayish energy surrounds him, stronger and sharper senses, he felt unreal. He felt light.

"I told you, Whis. There's no way this kid has no special form." Goten looked at Beerus who was now smirking at him. There, he realized what forced him this transformation. Before he could even refrain himself, he find himself cradling Beerus as dark yet shiny red ki wave was aimed at his heart. Goten knew the beam ki can put a hole inside the God of destruction's heart.

"I don't care about if you can destroy the unverse in a snap but I will kill you if you talk about my mom again!"

Beerus just laughed at him. He let go of the God. The sudden massive energy went out of his body. The red flowing energy is finally gone. The strong and sharp senses were gone. The light feeling is gone. Everything was then replaced by the impact of the God of Destruction's attacks. He's probably back in his base form.

"I refused to die in a battle." He uttered before his vision went black.

My favorite DB character is actually Gohan but personally, Goten has a lot of potential but he wasn't really given proper exposure. Hope you like the update.
