Who do you think will be the one to fill in the one on one battle where one survivor will determine the winner?
--
The battle of the Gods was settled within a one-time match by Zeno. He accepted the proposition but the condition was more difficult. In this battle, it's either you die, or you survive. Goten didn't really care about the match anymore. In fact, he was more focused on how to get home as early as possible. Staying here at Beerus Planet took a toll on him. Despite the changes, Beerus - training him alone and that his father and Vegeta were back to Whis training them.
His glowing dark red form don't have a name yet. Beerus and Whis don't even have an idea what kind of form was that. He shook his head when he remembered what Beerus had said to him one time they were training. That God of Destruction be really thinking too highly of him. He didn't even understand why Beerus took a liking on him.
"I think, time can only tell but you're about to surpass God powers."
Goten looked at Beerus - panting. They had just finished their session of training for today and Beerus was not even sweating while here he was - sweating and panting as hell. God's perks must have been to have a lot of stamina and not get tired at all.
"What do you mean by 'surpassing God's power?'"
"The power of the Gods has boundaries. It isn't boundless unlike you Saiyans. Do you understand why a mere mortal like your dad, Vegeta, and Trunks can turn into a super Saiyan God? It isn't because they become Gods, they just reached the state of Gods."
He raised his brow before officially focusing on what Beerus will have to say. Trunks was out with Gohan - probably sparring. This conversation with Beerus excites him and he wished Trunks is here to listen with him.
"A God of Destruction must obtain and master the ultra ego before he can even claim himself a God. We have to go through a lot of trainings, massive and heavy trainings. This goes to angels as well. But unlike those boring angels, we the Gods of Destruction needs to obtain that power, while they mainly have that ultra instincts based on experienced. Some of them are even born with ultra instincts in them."
Goten was awed at the fact that probably Whis was born with ultra instinct. He must be so strong as a kid. But then thinking about living as an angel sucks. Beerus is right when he said, angels are boring. They don't die and their strength can't even be used to good nor bad. Do they even have feelings at all? Goten can only wonder.
"You see, Goku is one hell of an amazing guy for mastering the ultra instinct. I won't even be surprised if the supreme priest will one day hire Goku to be one of the universes' angel."
He smiled at that thought. He would always be proud of his dad. His undying love for fighting is amazing. Maybe, in some ways it hurts a lot of people, especially his mom, but he understand his father's naivety. Sometimes, he imagined himself - growing old like his dad, but then, he would always find himself having a hard time - thinking about himself doing nothing but fighting. He had dreams and goals too. He isn't just a saiyan. He was half human and so maybe that's the reason why he will never understand the addiction to fighting. He wanted to build his own family, marry someone who can make him happy, you know, just someone whom he can come home to, just like his mom. He wanted to be a scientist, maybe to please his mom, but at the same time, he grew up falling in love to physics. His thoughts were brought back to Beerus. He almost forgot, he is here.
"There's someone up there who is more powerful than Zeno."
Now, this gets more interesting. Beerus looked at him intently while a grin was plastered in his eyes. He was probably thinking that he was too invested in this God's talks, Goten thought.
"Kira is the one who created Zeno and at the same, the multiverse. He's the Lord of Creation."
For awhile, Goten couldn't grasp the idea of Lord of Creation in a sense wherein he got confused to what lies between the God of Destruction and a God of Creation. His forehead knotted.
"Does that mean, he is your opposite?"
Beerus laughed at his naivety.
"Nope, Zeno wasn't even in his level, what chance do I have to stand next to him?"
"As I've said, everything was created by Kira. The galaxies, the multiverse, the planets, the immortals, the mortals and everything that exists. In short, Kira can control everything. He controls what will happen in future, he undo things from the past, and he can manipulate the present. That one certain guy can even stop the whole dragon ball franchise in one finger."
Oh, now that made sense. This Kira guy must be too strong. He wonders if he can meet him one day.
"So, where's this Kira guy?"
Beerus shrugged his shoulder.
"Well, I've heard somewhere, he was travelling around verses to verses, dimension to dimension, space to space, time to time and would always hide behind his creation's physicalities. You probably meet him on your world, or probably, he was hiding as a plant, anything."
"Hah, his life must be boring! I wanted to be a scientist but that doesn't mean, I wanted to know a lot of things especially those things which relates to something I intend not to look at to. Him - traveling from space to space could only mean, he was just like an atom. You know, existing everywhere, and knowing everything. It's a pain in the ass."
That Kira is guy is probably the strongest being up there but thinking about what he had to go through sucks. Goten wanted to meet this guy one day. Of course, he'll probably can hunt him down.
"So, does this Kira guy destroys his creations out of boredom?"
"I believe not. He is a noble Lord. He created the laws of the Galaxy to put things in order, it was the Gods who were stubborn to follow such simple law."
"Didn't you do the same? How many planets have you destroyed out of boredom?"
He saw how Beerus grinned - shiny teeth showing. The guy was not even ashamed of being an example of an evil God.
"No one follows the laws. The fulfillment when you break a law is awesome."
He wanted to snort. He loves following his mother's house rules, though sometimes, he find it ridiculous. The rules put the world in order. The law was absolute, it's the human who kept breaking it.
Beerus stood up from his seat before settling his eyes on him. He wanted to utter, "what?" but he refrained himself.
"The one on one battle of the universes will take place in 3 days, and I've asked everyone to let you fill in." Beerus said - grinning at him as if he had just win in a lotto.
Goten felt like he lost his ears. He probably hadn't heard him properly. What did he say, anyway?
"Goku and the others refused, but I made some adjustments."
Now, that confirmed what he thought of this all. Beerus just deliberately told him to enter in a battle where death is the only losing game. And what shocked him was the fact that he decided this alone despite having everyone's disapproval.
He wanted to strangle the God of destruction but he refrained himself. For the nth, he kept on refraining himself from killing this guy.
"I just want to ask who give you the fucking rights to just sign me in a battle where I lose, I die? Are you out of your mind? Why don't you battle there yourself?"
"I decided to train you myself because I see the potential in you. I'm sure your mother and father will be proud of you." Beerus said before leaving him there - still stunned for the upcoming battle.
How dare he use his parents in times like this?!
Fuck you, Beerus!!
I hope you rot in hell. I'm gonna look for Kira and ask him to destroy the laws of the Galaxies together with the Gods.
At first, he got a hard time pulling that transformation. Training with Beerus was never fun and sure is boring. He was bossy and gets mad easily. Goten hated to say this but despite the bad qualities of Beerus as his teacher, he sure is capable of handling his tantrums. Not even Gohan, nor his dad can handle his tantrums.
He felt Goku'a presence behind him. His father tapped his shoulder - trying to give him an amount of support. Well, who knows if he'll survive this battle. It's a death match, so no one knows if he'll ever survive. His father offered a suggestion about "reviving" him if he'd die using the dragon balls, but he refused. He would win this! He would go home alive!
"You don't have to push yourself too much, Goten."
Goten don't understand, but he felt like Goku isn't fair to him. His father has been bugging him of backing out and says that he can fill in instead of him, but he would always decline his request. Did his father doubt his power and capabilities? Does he even trust him to handle things on his own? Why can't he just encourage him the way he did when Gohan fought Cell? He never wanted to sound irrational but he felt like, his own father underestimated him too much.
"I wanted you to give me the same support you gave to Gohan when he fought Cell. Now, if you can't give me that, then might as well, consider that I'll be down there - "
"lifeless."
He left Goku after that.
In an hour from now, he'll be facing death, but instead of getting scared, he was more of excited. He wanted to test his new transformation and know what he's capable of. Who knows, Kira might be out there and be watching this battle.

so yeah, it's Goten, the one and only.
